Stop saying Virginia was killed. You are scaring the s**t out of the other victims. I've been calming down panicked women all day. This isn't some joke. THINK before you write stuff. These are real people. Virginia has a family. I really hate conspiracy kooks. You do not know the full extent of this story. Trust me you don't. And you don't have to but you do know that you don't know so stop flippantly guessing just because it good for the memes.I swear our social society is pure rot. People will do anything for clicks. Stop monetizing other people's suffering. Virginia was absolutely heart broken. Devastatingly hallowed. She is a huge reason why Epstein and Maxwell and Brunel all landed behind bars and why prince Andrew lost 16 million. She did great damage to the pedophile network. But they also did great damage to her. Don't lie about her life or her death. She had kidney problems and that's not related to the bus accident. It's just something they discovered because of the accident. She wasn't doing well that's all I will say. And it was not a surprise to me at all that she took her own life. She had a 5 year nightmare with serial rapists. Honor what she did. She took them down. It damaged her. Other things did too but this was a broken and rebuilt person. She jailed 3 of them and sued others. She brought closure to hundreds of women. She took on a team of lawyers with nothing and won. Never forget her courage and sacrifice.RIP This is a public episode. If you'd like to discuss this with other subscribers or get access to bonus episodes, visit www.ryandawson.org/subscribe
Admittedly, Danielle hasn't been very involved in the environmental lane of activism. We each have our lanes in which we feel most "qualified" and experienced to make an impact. And while this isn't one Danielle has concentrated on very deeply, members of her family have dedicated their life to this exact lane of activism. So when Danielle's incredible sister-in-law and her team at the Environmental Defense Fund, asked her to help disseminate crucial information that people (especially parents) may not otherwise acquire due to acts by the current administration, she of course knew she needed to use her platforms for this exact reason.Luckily, Kari Rhinehart, a mom from Indiana who has gone through the unimaginable, is beyond determined to retell her daughter's story to ensure we don't tune out and assume that just because we aren't hearing about "invisible" injustices and life-threatening exposures happening in our communities, that they aren't there. At 13-years-old, Kari's charismatic, passionate teen daughter, Emma, was diagnosed with a rare form of brain cancer. Determined to find out the cause, Kari began researching, and led to the overwhelming evidence that it was caused by trichloroethylene (TCE), a carcinogen that contaminated groundwater in Franklin, Indiana. Within a decade, over 50 other local children would be diagnosed with rare forms of blood, brain, and bone cancer. Devastatingly, Emma died three months later. Kari has not stopped fighting since then. Her story is heartbreaking, brave, and a stark reminder that we live in a society in which the greatest dangers are often the ones about which we've never been informed, on purpose. This conversation is not meant to instill overwhelming fear, but is a call-to-action for each of us to be increasingly observant, alert, and to trust our gut. With the enormous federal cuts taking place in environmental protections, even the limited information we once had is greatly at risk. For the unforeseeable future, it will be up to each of us and all of us to share stories, search for truth, and fight for justice, just like Kari. One small act can help this fight! The time was 3.34am on a Wednesday morning and I lay there wideawake. I pressed the screen on my phone to check the time any messages, I wondered? I flipped my pillow, shifted my weight and tried to sleep. The obvious cause of my insomnia was the five-week-old grunting and squirming in his sleep sack, a few feet away from me. But it wasn't the humidity, or the Police helicopter making one of its swoops over the neighbourhood, and this insomnia wasn't caused by a baby. It was caused by Adolescence. My wife and I had watched the final episode, episode four, a few hours earlier. The episode finished, like most of them, in devastating fashion. I sat there, turning over the story in my mind. If you haven't yet caught the Adolescence buzz, the show has had more hype in the couple of weeks since it came to Netflix than almost any other show in recent times. It's broken all sorts of records. After just eleven days, it broke the record for the highest-number of Netflix streams in a two week period. Tens of millions of views Worldwide... with millions more everyday. In a sense, Adolescence is a simple concept. It's a four-episode series set in the U.K about a knife crime. A young woman has been stabbed to death. Every episode Hasan incredibly ambitious production quality in that it's all one shot. The whole thing. 45 minutes or an hour. One take. And in the words of the creator Stephen Graham, it's less of a Who-dunn it than a Why-dunnit? As someone who's worked in the telly for twenty years, I feel I have a pretty good sense of how hard it into make a one-shot show. Technically speaking, it is ridiculously complicated. I don't think most people appreciate how hard it is to light a single scene. But then going from indoors to outdoors to classrooms to hallways to drone shots, a hundred metres off the ground. Sound recording is such a pain. And what if an actor screws up a line 20 minutes in? You start again, that's what. I read a piece which explained many of the crew dressed as extras for the show's production, so if they were caught in the back of shot it would hopefully make sense. A friend reckoned the single-continuous shot thing might be a bit of a gimmick. What's the point? He asked. Personally speaking, I just found it never gave me a chance to subconsciously look away, or to catch my breath. No chance to check my phone. The story didn't pause because the people didn't pause, the scene didn't end until the episode ended. And what scenes. Sheesh. The speed of Episode One. I just love how it had all of the banal procedural stuff, the process. The chaos of Episode Two at the school. It was a stunning vision of a totally dysfunctional space, the teachers yelling to try and control the kids. The teachers who just didn't care. Episode Three? What a brave, bold call. Just two people in an empty room nothing of visual interesting. Just two actors in conversation; the volatility, the brinksmanship, the unravelling. And episode Four, all that was lost. The desperation. The performances in Adolescence, especially Stephen Graham, were astonishing. I immediately became that person annoyingly texting all of his friends and group chats and asking who had seen it. We think of movies as being art. Well, film, cinema! We probably don't think of TV as being art in quite the someway. Or at least as often. But how do you define good art? Surely it's a creative work that makes people feel.. that affects them that sticks with them that has them tossing and turning in bed at 3.34am in the morning, replaying scenes in their head. It's been a long, long time since a TV show affected me like Adolescence. As a story, it was devastating. But as a TV drama, it was close to perfect.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Even smart kids make bad decisions; decisions that can take their life. This was the case for Judy's son, Erik, who died in 2010 from the choking game. Devastatingly, this trend has since exploded due to social media algorithms which prioritize harmful content into childrens' feeds. Listen to the ► Podcast at Steamy Stories. When she signed the employment contract, Jessica knew what the stipulations were. She had to generate enough sales to cover her costs and give the office a profit. Otherwise, she would need to make up the difference. The end of the quarter was imminent, and failing the best sales week of her year, Jessica was not going to meet her target. She had heard rumors of how Daniel, her boss and owner of the firm, accepted repayment. But these were just hushed rumors – nothing more.It was the last Friday of the year before the holiday close when she was summoned into his office. She had only been in there a few times – mainly during her interview. It was an old-fashioned office, laden with dark oak and decanters filled with fancy liquors. He was waiting for her in his oversized, high-backed chair. His dress was standard for “casual” Friday – slacks, no jacket, tie, and a vest to keep everything together. She wasn't yet comfortable enough to do “casual” herself, especially with her subpar numbers. Her dress was pristine, stylish – she knew how to dress, how to accentuate her charms. He offered her a chair and a drink. She accepted the former and declined the latter. He sipped his whisky, placed it down on the waiting coaster, then leaned forward on his mahogany desk. His voice was so deep that it almost vibrated the rocks in his scotch. “Do you know why you are here, Jessica?” She didn't trust her voice not to break, so she simply nodded in reply. “I took a chance on hiring you. You were doing so well, and then your performance just went to shit. We can't have that. I have a business to run. And that business is not supporting wayward girls who can't do their jobs.”He took another drink before continuing. “I like having you here. You try hard, but not hard enough. I think it's really just an issue of finding the right motivation for you.”Jessica opened her mouth to interject. “I don't think it's a matter of. ”He quietly resumed control of the conversation, using his same measured tone. “Stop talking.” She immediately paused, responding to the quiet power in his voice.“With girls like you, I know just the motivational tool.” He stood up, and Jessica caught her breath as she realized his pants were open. This was it, what she had heard about. She didn't know was she was expecting, but what she saw was a gorgeous cock. Devastatingly erect, large and thick, but not to the point of causing logistical and biological issues. The large head shined, already slick with some of his pre-cum.He beckoned her to him, and she walked to him, powerless, like a zombie. He lifted her dress over her head, removed her panties and bra, and bent her over his desk. He rubbed his cock on her waiting labia.“This is what's going to happen, Jessica. We're going to Fuck now, just once, to make up for what you owe me”. With that, he pushed his cock inside. Jessica was surprised at how wet she was, at how she easily could take him inside, at how Fucking good he felt inside her.His thrusting increased in time. She moaned with the feeling, the pressure on her vaginal walls, the perfect way in which she was stretched. Short gasps escaped her lips. An orgasm already threatened her, as his hands tightly closed on her hips.“You will love Fucking this cock.. But I'm never going to Fuck you again, never going to let you experience it again, unless you hit your targets. Is that clear?”The feral sounds that escaped her lips as she climaxed were the only agreement he needed to amend their workplace contract. He kept his hips working, knowing that another orgasm would only add further motivation to his charge. After this, Jessica would do whatever she could to make this happen again; and again; and again.By jessicas erotic ramblings, for Tumblr. Remote ControlledHer new wifi-enabled sex toy.Posted by jessicas erotic ramblings. Listen to the Podcast at Steamy Stories. My boyfriend, Rob; had surprised me with the gift of a remote controlled vibrating bullet sex toy which I was extremely excited about testing out. It featured a mobile app and a wifi connectability. The following morning as he was getting dressed to leave for work, he told me put on my favorite lingerie and to push the bullet toy inside my pussy, and to leave it inside me until he got home. He picked up the small remote control before kissing me, and telling me he was going to make me cum as he drove to work. After he left I pushed the bullet inside me as I lay naked on the bed. There was no vibrating coming from the bullet yet so I stared sliding my hands over my breasts. My nipples were already getting hard from the anticipation of the bullet buzzing to life at any moment. I circled my nipples with my fingertips through my red bra and moaned when I squeezed them. Ummm I was getting so unbelievably horny as I squirmed around on the bed caressing my full breasts. Suddenly the bullet inside my pussy started buzzing and it felt Fucking amazing. The thought of my boyfriend stimulating me by playing with the remote as he drove to work was driving me wild. The bullet didn't just vibrate at a constant level but changed in intensity depending on my boyfriend's desires. It would vibrate in waves that sent tingles of pleasure travelling through my now soaking pussy. It would vibrate in a low rumble then make me scream as the intensity was increased almost making me cum. My hands slid over my breasts then over the bed sheets as I grabbed the edges of the bed, gasping and moaning, my back arching as I came for my boyfriend. My eyes closed as I gasped, writhing in heaven as my orgasm washed over my body as the vibrating bullet worked it's pure Fucking magic. Then, as suddenly as it started the bullet stopped vibrating. I was breathing hard as my body tingled in a post orgasmic bliss. I was already making plans to pay my boyfriend back for making me cum with my new toy, thinking about how I was going to go down on him and suck his cock as soon as he got home later. I lay there for a few moments then got up and slipped my robe around me. I left the bullet inside me as per Rob's instructions and I walked downstairs to make myself some breakfast but jumped in surprise when I found my boyfriend's dad sitting on the couch in the living room. “Hey Jessica. I came over to ask Rob for a favor but I guess I just missed him. I was going to leave but I found this strange remote thing on the floor. Do you know what it controls as I've been sitting here for 10 minutes playing with it but it doesn't seem to do anything,” he said as he held up the remote for my new toy.I stood there just staring at him in disbelief realizing Rob must have dropped it as he left for work. His dad had no idea he had just made me cum as he tried to figure out what the remote was used for. My clit was still tingling as I stood there staring at him not quite knowing what to say. “If I turn this knob the lights get brighter but it doesn't seem to control anything,” he said as I watched him twist the knob on the remote again which suddenly sent a wave of vibrations through my pussy. I gasped out loud and my knees pressed together as I stood there trying to keep my composure as the bullet buzzed inside me. He looked at me with a somewhat confused look on his face.“Are you ok Jessica?” he said as I stood there trying hard to contain the moan that I so wanted to let out. He must have turned down the knob on the remote again as the bullet stopped and I was able to regain a touch of composure. “Uh, yeah just. “I didn't have a chance to finish what I was about to say as he turned the knob again and as the bullet vibrated inside my tight wet pussy I could no longer stifle my moans. I moaned and gasped as my thighs pressed together and I put my hands against my robe over my over stimulated pussy. He was staring at me in astonishment but he had obviously figured out what was happening as he continued to play with the remote. My legs felt slightly trembly, so I sat down on the couch as I continued moaning from the pleasure between my legs. “Oh my god, Rob must have dropped this on his way out. You naughty kids were going to play with this while he was at work,” he said as he laughed. He continued playing with the remote as I started to squirm in my seat. My nipples were now hard and I couldn't stop myself from responding to the toy pulsing inside me even though it was my boyfriend's dad who was controlling it. He was obviously getting seriously turned on from seeing what he was doing to me as he started shifting in his seat and turning the controlling knob up and down faster. I knew if he didn't stop he was going to make me orgasm again very soon. My robe must have slipped open as I squirmed with pleasure on the couch as I suddenly realized my lingerie clad body was completely on show but I was so close to cumming I honestly didn't care in the slightest. He moved on to the floor in front of the couch and then he pushed the bottom of my robe from my legs as I moaned and squirmed in front of him. I felt his hands on my thighs as he eased my legs wider and after pushing my panties to the side he was suddenly slowly licking up along my pussy lips. I squealed with pleasure and as he licked up to my clit I grabbed his head and held his face to my pussy. He was sucking on my clit as I arched my back and screamed in ecstasy, cumming so Fucking hard.“DON'T STOP. Oh God DON'T STOP!” I screamed. My entire body shuddered as my orgasm overwhelmed me, and I never wanted to stop cumming. My fingers were entwined in his hair as he worked my throbbing clit between his lips. I was humping against his face as I came again and again. I suddenly pulled his head back from my pussy and I begged him to turn down the buzzing bullet inside me. He turned it down but not all the way off, just leaving the bullet faintly vibrating which wasn't enough to make me cum again but it kept me in the moment. I watched as my boyfriend's dad stood up and started to unfasten the belt on his jeans. He was looking into my eyes with pure lust and the bulge in his jeans was clearly visible. I moved forward to the edge of the couch and as I felt my pussy still trembling tightly around the vibrating bullet I reached up to take over undoing his jeans. I pulled the belt away and pulled down the zipper before tugging down the jeans and his underwear as watched as his cock bounce free. “Jessica, I haven't felt this hard in a long time. Put your mouth over it and suck me,” he said without any hesitation. I didn't give him time to ask me again as I closed my lips around his cock. My hands slid up his thighs as I heard him moan out so loudly from the feeling of his cock being swallowed between my pink pouty lips. I took his cock in my hand and started stroking as I sucked him off. Loving having his cock in my mouth. He was still holding the remote and the harder I sucked him the more he increased the intensity of the vibrating bullet deep inside me. I was moaning as I sucked his cock harder, my hand and mouth moving together as one along his rock hard shaft. He was moaning hard and suddenly turned up the knob on the remote to max making me cum again as his cock pulsed between my lips sending the first jets of his cum over my tongue. He was cumming into my mouth as my entire body trembled with absolute pleasure. I kept sucking cock until there was no more cum to swallow and he pulled out of my mouth gasping hard. I took the remote from him and turned off the bullet as I could finally not take any more. I was absolutely spent as I collapsed back against the couch panting hard. I watched him pull his jeans back up and he suddenly seemed embarrassed at what had just happened. “Oh god; honey I just took advantage of you. I'm so sorry. Please don't tell my son,” he said looking genuinely concerned about what had just happened between us.I stood up and walked towards him with my robe still open. “I won't be telling him, and just so you know you didn't take advantage of me as I wanted to suck that sexy cock of yours,” I replied as I stepped closer to him. “Oh honey don't say that else you'll get me hard all over again.”As he spoke I slid my hand down against his crotch. I squeezed gently as I gave him a wicked little smile. “Would that be such a bad thing,” I said seductively as I could already feel his cock coming back to life. I picked up the remote and slipped it back into his hand as I slowly sank back down to my knees in front of him, undoing his jeans on my way down.By jessicas erotic ramblings, for Tumblr.

A slightly older episode that came out of the archives as we took a small social media break. When I tell you everything about us is 360 opposite from each other- i'm not exaggerating. We talk about how we navigate having different communication styles while effectively having a productive conversation. We also dive into Masc insecurities while out in public and how we work through them together. Lots of little surprise convos along the way- you know us, we like to go a little rogue. Please note, as we did touch on the challenges for gender-expansive/gender-queer individuals using a public restroom in a lighter way, it is a topic that should be taken VERY seriously. Andie and I shared our own experiences on this topic, but there are many others who might feel differently about it. It is important to know, this was filmed prior to the tragedy of Nex Benedict who lost their life after abuse in a school bathroom. Devastatingly enough, Nex is not the only one- there are too many scenarios like this happening all over the world. Please take into consideration how someones experience in a public restroom can be extremely traumatizing and give love and support to anyone who might be struggling with this. It is an incredibly vulnerable place for some people so please show up for the ones that might need you even if they don't say it out loud. This week, we're answering the age old question that many of you asked over on Instagram: how long should you wait to sleep with a guy? Is there a perfect number of dates? Does it doom the relationship to put out after a first date? Plus, we're talking about how p*rn impacts our sex and dating lives and I'm telling the story of when I shamed two dudes on the train. 15 September 2023What Happens Next? Can Art Help Our Climate Anxiety? | 85 New this season: Subscribe to Monash's YouTube channel to watch the video version of each full episode. In the third episode of our exploration of climate anxiety, host Dr Susan Carland explores the shared experience of climate anxiety and how art can be used to reach the core of human emotions. Our expert guests create and study music and fiction that can evoke empathy and foster a sense of community among audiences who may be grappling with climate anxiety. Dr Anna McMichael and Dr Louise Devenish, from Monash University's Sir Zelman Cowan School of Music and Performing Arts, introduce “Climate Notes”. This unique project combines letters from climate scientists and ordinary people, which discuss how climate change makes them feel, with original musical compositions. These “musical letters” provide a moving outlet for expressing the emotional and psychological impacts of climate change. The episode also features literary scholar Professor Adeline Johns-Putra, head of the School of Arts and Social Sciences at Monash University Malaysia, who specialises in climate fiction, or “cli-fi.” Climate fiction includes novels, stories, and films that grapple with the impact of climate change on our world. These narratives can serve as a powerful tool for processing the emotional toll of climate anxiety, offering readers a chance to explore various perspectives on climate change and its consequences, fostering empathy and awareness. Today's episode is dedicated to First42K Co-Founder Jase Cronshaw. In early June 2021, I sat down on a podcast with my coach and business partner Jase. It was lockdown 4.0 in Melbourne and given we had launched First42K just 2 months earlier, we thought why don't we record a chat about how it came to be. I can't tell you how glad I am that we took the opportunity to have this conversation, and I've been waiting for a time that feels right to release this episode. Devastatingly, Coach Jase passed away suddenly on the 15th of April, 2022. Jase left an enormous legacy on the running community, truly changing people's lives. He had a huge passion for helping people fall in love with running, he was an amazing athlete in his own right and he regularly volunteered at trail running events with his best mate DJ as a sweeper. I hope you learn some training tips from Coach Jase to help you with your running. Jase and DJ taught me how to run smarter, not just harder, transforming me and many others they coached into incredible runners, and more importantly healthier, happier, and more confident people. This episode was recorded over a year before we started the First42K podcast, so I'm grateful that I had my good friend Rien MacDonald host the episode to guide our conversation. Migrants have spoken of the devastating effects of long waits for national security checks before they can become residents. One woman miscarried the day she found out another check had been ordered. Another, who was married to a New Zealander for 30 years, had to live apart from him and their daughter for a year while she waited for her visa. Gill Bonnett reports.

Sam and Emma break down the biggest headlines of the day. They begin by discussing the oral arguments before the Supreme Court today, focusing on Biden's student debt cancellation plan. This includes Iowa's attorney general, Brenna Bird, insinuating to Maria Bartiromo that Biden's plan was designed to buy votes before the 2020 election, and Bernie Sanders fighting for universal cancellation on the SCOTUS steps while deliberations continue. Then they dive into the recent crackdown by the Biden Administration on child labor violations, as a seemingly direct result of reporting by NBCNews and the New York Times. Sam and Emma then go on to touch on the Commerce Department's application for semiconductor company subsidies, and how that application will mandate whoever is receiving those subsidies must provide their employers with the requisite childcare. And finally, the MR Crew breaks down yet another explosive Dominion Voting Systems court filing about Fox News's fraudulence in covering the 2020 election, with CEO Rupert Murdoch's own admissions that they were endorsing the "stolen election" narrative they didn't think to be true. And in the Fun Half, the MR Crew talk "19 Kids and Counting" star Jessa Seewald describing her abortion procedure as a "missed miscarriage", Michael Knowles trying to out-freak his Daily Wire colleagues on trans issues, and Brian Kilmeade reporting from a Ponte Vedra Beach diner begging anyone, ANYONE, to say that they want Ron DeSantis to be President and not Donald Trump. The Reverend and the Reprobate sit down with Captain Wren C Thomas and Lori Vangilder-Preuss on the show this week. In 2013 Capt Thomas was taken captive by pirates off the coast of Nigeria. He tells the RevRepPodcast about how he survived the ordeal and the ongoing challenges he still faces. Captain Wren C. Thomas worked for 28 years as a merchant mariner, working his way to a Master's License to be the Captain of his vessel. Captain Thomas enjoyed working on the ocean highways until his ship was hijacked by modern day Nigerian pirates. He was taken hostage for 18 brutal days in the rainforest of the Niger River Delta. Captain Thomas also devotedly served his country as a U.S. Marine. He is a proud & grateful son, brother, husband, father, and grandfather. (Credit: Title Town Publishing) Lori A. VanGilder-Preuss is a passionate editor, production manager and ghostwriter with TitleTown Publishing LLC. Prior to publishing, she was a prolific technical writer within public safety for 35 years and enjoys producing within the survivor and true crime space because of that background. Lori has a Bachelor's degree in Adult Education with a minor in Curriculum Development. She lives in Florida with her husband and son.(Credit: Title Town Publishing) Kidnapped and held for ransom for 18 days by Nigerian pirates, Captain Wren Thomas suffered horrors, bringing to life the reality of modern-day pirating. Faith carried him during and after captivity, a beloved PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) service dog named Beaux, eventually saving his life once again. In this first-person survivor account, Captain Thomas brings readers into the ocean, onto his ship as he and his team fight off the pirates, and ultimately within the captivity camp. Devastatingly clear as it is inspirational, Capt. Thomas warns the world with his story of danger on the ocean highways, which gives us a rare glimpse of what it takes to survive. UnBreakable Spirit, Inspiring Stories of Women Surviving and Thriving
In Episode 19 of Unbreakable Spirit, Julie Prashad-Ramirez shares her story of losing her mother to glioblastoma (brain cancer). Her Mom's diagnosis came shortly after the birth of Julie's first daughter. At a time when Julie and her Mom should have been enjoying the new baby, instead, this diagnosis turned their world upside down. Her Mom passed away just a year later. Her Dad was left to raise her 10 year old brother alone. Devastatingly, just a few short years later, her Dad unexpectedly dies from a heart attack. Julie, as the oldest daughter, is left with all the responsibilities. She steps in to plan the funeral, and manage her Dad's estate and to care for her brother. There was so much to do and she had no clue where to begin. She had to use her own funds to plan the funeral and pay attorneys until the estate could be settled and there were many complicated issues regarding the estate. There was much to do. She and her husband filed for guardianship of her brother. Now with two little girls and a teenage brother living with her, Julie was overwhelmed and depressed. She was deeply grieving the loss of both parents in such a short time, but there was also an anger and resentment that she was left with this burden of figuring out her Dad's estate and almost losing everything trying to help. It placed a burden on her marriage as well. Bad things weren't supposed to happen to good people. Julie found her way to healing through medication to help lift her out of the depression and through becoming more spiritually connected through her church. She now dedicates her life to helping others with all aspects of their finances including the importance of life insurance and advises on why estate planning is so important so that no one will have to go through what she had to. In episode 22 we talk to the beautiful Abby Mckibben about her long and very trying journey with infertility. Abby always knew she might have some trouble conceiving as she had suffered from endometriosis from a very young age. Over 8 years Abby went through countless laparoscopic surgeries and had a Myomectomy which is major surgery to remove a fibroid growing in her uterus. The recovery for a surgery like this is similar to a caesarean which put a huge holt on her IVF cycles. After taking some time and letting her body fully recover, Abby dove back into IVF with a new fertility specialist. Unfortunately, this round involved higher doses of medication and Abby's body did not handle this well as it led to a severe case of Ovarian Hyper Stimulation Syndrome (OHSS). This got so bad to the point that one of her lungs nearly collapsed from having so much fluid trapped. Devastatingly, Abby's specialist did not want her to undergo another IVF cycle due to the severity of how her body handled the last round, this meant that Abby was left with one chance to conceive her rainbow baby. At this point Abby and her partner felt that their dreams were near impossible, and they were coming to terms with the fact that they may not ever be able have a baby. The universe had other plans for Abby though, as it new she was destined to be a mother and she was finally blessed with her little rainbow baby, a true miracle for their family. Abby was thrown every hurdle possible on her trying to conceive journey but she did not give up, she is the definition of a super woman and now super mum! This week we are joined by two incredible ladies, whose stories you won't believe until you hear them. Ell Pullin and Lotte Bowser are two friends brought together by the unimaginable loss of their partners, world champion snowboarder Alex ‘Chumpy' Pullin, and UK music agent Ben Kouijzer. Both Ben and Chumpy are known for their magnetic energy, their passion for life and music, and they have both left a huge imprint in the lives and hearts of everyone who knew them. Shortly after Chumpy's sudden death while out spearfishing in July 2020, Ellidy announced a miracle pregnancy with his baby after finding out about a procedure called postmortem sperm retrieval. After two rounds of IVF, Ellidy gave birth to Minnie Alex Pullin in October 2021.Lotte recounts her harrowing experience of when she flew to Mexico in October 2020 where Ben was undergoing alternative cancer treatments to try and save his life. One morning Ben was rushed into hospital and separated from Lotte after contracting Covid-19. Devastatingly, this was the last time she saw him alive. Lotte and Ellidy are also both experiencing cumulative grief, after losing their dads only a short time after their partners died. Their bravery and resilience is nothing short of admirable, and this conversation is one that we are both thankful to have been a part of. We received loads of questions from our community for Lotte and El and have tried to include as many as possible. We also discuss: What it's like to be young and widowedSudden death versus anticipatory griefThe power of asking for signs from the other sideCumulative grief (dealing with multiple losses)Different grieving styles – grieving on the go vs sitting with the feelingsWhat is postmortem sperm retrieval?Future relationships after the loss of your partnerPrepare to be inspired by these two incredible women.Links and further readingBuy Lotte and Ellidy's ‘Now, What?' Episode Notes We discuss Claire Lynch's memoir Small. No spoilers but this one hit us both in the feels for very different reasons. Thank you to Claire for providing the review copy. Here is the blurb: "Babies who are this small, he says, have a good chance of survival. Small is not good for babies. It is not whimsical or cute or the cause of admiration. It is the first time it occurs to us that they might not survive. Babies die from smallness." Claire Lynch knew that having children with her wife would be complicated but she could never have anticipated the extent to which her life would be redrawn by the process. This dazzling debut begins with the smallest of life's substances, the microscopic cells subdividing in a petri dish in a fertility treatment centre. She moves through her story in incremental yet ever-growing steps, from the fingernail-sized pregnancy test result screen which bears two affirmative lines to the premature arrival of her children who have to wear scale-model oxygen masks in their life-saving incubators. Devastatingly poignant and profoundly observant - and funny against the odds - Claire considers whether it is our smallness that makes our lives so big. #PodcastersForJustice Award-winning novelist, Claire Fuller, talked to me about getting shortlisted for the Women's Prize For Fiction 2021, what inspired her new novel Unsettled Ground, and her creative process. Claire is an accomplished artist who studied sculpture at Winchester School of Art. She only started writing fiction at the age of 40, after many years working as a director at a marketing agency. She is now the author of four novels – including her award-winning debut Our Endless Numbered Days – and her latest is Unsettled Ground, on the Shortlist for the Women's Prize for Fiction 2021. In episode 15, Dr. discusses the well-acclaimed book "The Four Agreements: A Personal Guide to Personal Freedom The The Four Agreements: A Practical Guide to Personal Freedom is a self-help book written by bestselling author Don Miguel Ruiz with Janet Mills. The book offers a code of conduct claiming to be based on ancient Toltec wisdom that advocates freedom from self-limiting beliefs that may cause suffering and limitation in a person's life. Many self-limiting beliefs are created in our childhood. Devastatingly, they become part of our identity. This is a profound book full of ancient wisdom about how to live a life of peace and come into an awareness of our conditioned belief systems…our conditioned self-limiting beliefs that we did not come up with authentically ourselves. The good news is we can embrace a new narrative. We can challenge our beliefs and re-program our thoughts. “By knowing what you are not, you come to know thyself.” Agree to these four contracts with yourself. They will help you guide yourself to a more-fulfilled life. which are simply: Agreement 1: Be Impeccable With Your Word Agreement 2: Don't Take Anything Personally Agreement 3: Don't Make Assumptions Agreement 4: Always Do Your Best Company website: designandwellness.com https://www.facebook.com/groups/153651943307031 https://www.instagram.com/womenlivinghealthy https://www.instagram.com/design_and_wellness_center Dr. K Linkedin -https://www.linkedin.com/in/dr-melissa-knight-phd-rn-msn-cne-425189ba
As Human Rights Watch condemn Israel's occupation of Palestine as apartheid, I speak to Hanan Ashrawi - one of Palestine's most prominent figures. She explains the brutality the Palestinian people are subjected to by an Israeli occupation which is in violation of international law; about a recent attack by extremists chanting 'death to Arabs' against Palestinians in Jerusalem; about whether there is any hope for Palestine now Joe Biden is President - and whether the two state solution is dead.Help us take on the right-wing media here: https://patreon.com/owenjones84Support this show http://supporter.acast.com/the-owen-jones-podcast. Today Miriam welcomes Brenda Chuinkam onto the podcast. Brenda is a designer, entrepreneur, blogger and many other things! She is one of 4 children and is very pro-African, especially in regards to the culture and fashion. In this episode they talk about mental health, being authentic and trauma. KEY TAKEAWAYS Brenda’s Dad was a diplomat which meant her and her family moved around a lot, each sibling was born in a different country! Brenda was raised multiculturally and was well travelled at a young age thanks to her Dad’s job. From a young age, Brenda has always been able to adapt to new situations and get along/form relationships with many different types of people. When Brenda was 17 she decided she wanted to lose weight after seeing a photo of herself. She lost over 60 pounds in 7 months, demonstrating that when Brenda was determined about something she would make it happen. After she had lost the weight she realised that she had become to obsessed with food and calories and she wasn’t enjoying food anymore. She went to university and gained a stone, this is when she decided to learn more about exercise and nutrition and learned how to maintain a healthy weight in a positive way. Brenda’s mum started her own business which meant she wasn’t at home as much as she was previously, she got a tutor for Brenda. Devastatingly this tutor sexually assaulted her, she kept it a secret as he asked, it went on for over a year. It wasn’t until Brenda was in her late 20s that she shared this with people. In Cameroon, there is a practice called breast ironing, it is a process to suppress breast growth and the reasoning given behind it is to stop male attention. Brenda’s Grandmother decided to start ironing Brenda’s breasts when she started puberty, it was extremely traumatising but her Grandmother didn’t feel like she was doing anything wrong, she was following tradition and thought she was helping Brenda. As a child, Brenda was an extrovert but she took on shame from the sexual assault and breast ironing she devastatingly had to experience and it mean she became introverted and not herself for many years. Being in the Western world and learning about many different people who were easily themselves, via the internet and magazines, really helped Brenda find herself again. It made her want more for herself. Brenda has always prioritised herself as an adult. If she needs a day off she takes a day off. Generally, her mental health is an 8 or 9 out of 10. She believes it also helps that she has such a great support system. She has been sad before but hasn’t ever suffered from depression as an adult. BEST MOMENTS “As a child for me it was always exciting” “You’re very authentic, you’re very real, I like how you share yourself because you don’t pretend” “It was being in the Western world that helped me” “I always take care of myself, I always prioritise myself” "We just need a place where we can talk about it" VALUABLE RESOURCES Website: https://melapteh.com/ IG:https://www.instagram.com/theankaraqueen/ ( )https://www.instagram.com/theankaraqueen/ (https://www.instagram.com/theankaraqueen)/ ABOUT THE GUEST Brenda Chuinkam is a young Afropreneur based in Canada with a love for all things African. Her fun and unique ability to share everyday life experiences while looking very stylish has enabled her to amass quite a large community on social media. Today Zoe talks to Louise about her very special little girl Jessica, who was born with a heart condition. Devastatingly in 2018 Jessica died at aged 6 ½ and Louise shares how she is navigating both life and grief without her little girl. KEY TAKEAWAYS Louise met Michael in university, they have been together ever since. They got married in 2009 and Louise became pregnant in 2011. The pregnancy was very normal at the start but at the 20 week scan they found out that there was something wrong with the baby's heart, they were referred to get a more detailed scan. They had a risky procedure whilst baby was still in the womb, it was successful and their baby Jessica survived birth but she still had a very underdeveloped left side to her heart. Jessica had her first open-heart surgery at just 8 hours old, one of many surgeries to come. After four weeks they were able to take Jessica home. After her fourth surgery at 7 months, Jessica was given the prognosis that if she made it to 5 years old she would have a good likelihood of making it to adulthood but Louise and Michael were always aware that her case was complex. Louise and Michael had a second child, Sophie, 2 years later, there were no complications in this pregnancy but Louise still suffered with some anxiety and was diagnosed with Post Natal Depression after Sophie was born. Louise attributes this down to the fact she had so much support after the birth of Jessica and she struggled with the normality of life after having Sophie. But once she was open she had therapy and this as well as peer support really helped. Jessica was a joy carrier. She was always smiling and laughing, she took everything in her stride and was always just so happy. The bond and relationship Sophie and Jessica had as sisters was very special, they supported and loved each other so much. Jessica had her final surgery, recovery was good and they left hospital after 3 weeks and after 6 weeks she was back at school. They felt they were on the other side and could look to the future. Jessica went back to school and she was doing ok but one morning at school she wasn't very well and she was taken to hospital for a check and was sent home. She then picked up a cold and she couldn't seem to shake off. She had various appointments and seemed to be doing a bit better, everyone thought she just needed some time to fully recover. The family had a day out but Jessica had a coughing fit and had to go into hospital. She was diagnosed with a viral-induced wheeze and was given medication to go home with. Devastatingly Jessica collapsed at home in the night and died in hospital after multiple attempts at resuscitating her. The only way Louise and Michael can manage the grief is by taking each day as it comes. Louise also found that writing, allowing herself space to grieve and giving Jessica attention and time in this way also helped. Louise was pregnant when Jessica died, she had her third child, Thomas, three months later by home birth. She was so scared she wouldn't bond with Thomas but as soon as she saw him she adored him and felt so much relief that she loved him. BEST MOMENTS “You need to stop being a midwife and just be a mummy right now” “When Jessica was born, when I heard that cry, it was hands down the most joyful moment of my entire life” “The future of Jessica was so uncertain we always lived in the moment” “Everything was overwhelming and too much, I didn't know how to deal with normality” “I was really numb at that point, it just felt unreal” VALUABLE RESOURCES www.petalscharity.org www.tommys.org www.arc-uk.org www.sands.org.uk ABOUT THE GUEST Louise @littleheartsbiglove - instagram www.littleheartsbiglove.co.uk charities: Halo Childresn Foundation - www.halochildrensfoundation.org.uk Little Hearts Matter - www.lhm.org.uk Single Ventricle Heart Condition Charity - Little Hearts Matter Welcome to Little Hearts Matter. Welcome to Episode 2 of Series 2 where we dive into a topic we're deeply passionate about: Gaslighting. We discuss how we've encountered this in a multitude of ways in both our personal and professional lives as well as how women with prior experiences of sexual or physical violence may be more susceptible to gaslighting. We touch on the many ways women might experience gaslighting in the corporate environment, how our experience with it spurred us into writing our book and starting this podcast (!) and how to deal with gaslighting when it happens. We know this is something many women encounter all too often so we hope you'll finish this episode feeling supported and ready to challenge gaslighting when it next rears it ugly head.- World Health Organisation report released March 2021 entitled "Devastatingly pervasive: 1 in 3 women globally experience violence" confirming that 1 in 3 women globally experience sexual or physical violence in their lifetime - Suzannah Weiss' August 2018 article for Bustle entitled "7 Subtle Ways Women Experience Gaslighting On A Daily Basis" which breaks down gaslighting most women encounter on a daily basis- Psychology Today July 2020 article entitled "7 Signs of Gaslighting at the Workplace" which breaks down the gaslighting that many people experience in the workplace- Dr. Stephanie Sarkis' April 2020 article for Mind Body Green entitled "How To Know If You're Dealing With Gaslighting At Work" which further breaks down gaslighting in the workplace as well as strategies for dealing with it- U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission enforces federal laws that make it illegal to discriminate against a job applicant or an employee - UK Advisory, Conciliation and Arbitration Service (ACAS) which provides free, impartial advice on workplace rights, rules and best practice - Please check out our "Feminism 101" suggested reading list here if you're at a loose end for a great read from an incredible female author!- Find out more about the amazing artists, Nubefy, behind the graphics we use here
Today Zoe speaks to Hannah from the Instagram account @eggainst_the_odds. Hannah tells her incredible story against the odds, how she beat cancer twice and then had her baby girl last year. A true happy ending. KEY TAKEAWAYS Hannah had been suffering with chronic knee pain and after seeing many Drs she got diagnosed with cancer, at the age of 26. One of the first questions Hannah asked her oncologist before undergoing chemo was about her fertility. She was told she could have egg collection before starting chemo but had a really shocking experience with the NHS so went private in order to preserve her fertility. Hannah had chemotherapy and also limb salvage surgery, it was successful but she had to have chest xrays continuously afterwards to ensure it hadn't spread. Devastatingly 18 months later two tumours were found in her lungs. She had further surgery and the tumours were successfully removed. It has now been 12 years since her relapse but she continues to have regular scans. Hannah met her current partner Rick online, it was a slow start but they have always had a lot of fun together and they got married in 2017. They decided to start trying for a baby, lots of cancelled appointments and tests later they finally found out that Hannah's AMH was very low and that IVF would be their best chance of having a baby. They started the process of IVF with a private clinic and miraculously whilst getting ready for an egg transfer Hannah found out that she was pregnant, but sadly it ended in a miscarriage. It was devastating for them and took them some time to recover. It was at this time the IVF and fertility Instagram community really helped Hannah. Just talking and connecting with people who understood what she was going through was what she needed. When Hannah and Rick were happy to try again they weren't given very positive news and their consultant advised they will probably have to look at egg donation or surrogacy. Hannah had her AMH re-tested and incredibly it was high enough for the clinic to try another IVF cycle – which was successful! They then had their beautiful daughter Raffy! BEST MOMENTS “This diagnosis shattered my world” “Everyone in hospital that had lung m--- had died” “I decided I wasn't happy and hadn't been happy for a long time, I realised that you have one life and I couldn't afford to waste any more time” VALUABLE RESOURCES www.petalscharity.org www.tommys.org www.arc-uk.org www.sands.org.uk Hannah's Instagram: @eggainst_the_odds. Violence and physical abuse is totally preventable health condition, With the right awareness and respect, we can keep people from hurting other people. As a society, we can stop the violence. In Parts of our world women are treated almost as though they are can human. They are property and the kind of property that can be just discarded at a whim. As a society, we can do better to ensure that human rights are maintained and all are given respect.
Diana Spencer became the Princess of Wales in 1981 a few weeks after turning 20 years old and she immediately caught the attention of the whole world. People loved her accessibility, her warmth, her community service, and her style. But beneath it all, she was deeply unhappy and lonely, despite her boundless love for her two children and all the others she touched through her charity work. Devastatingly, she wasn’t able to escape it and passed away at 36 years old. Just a few days ago in March 2021, Meghan Markle, the former Duchess of Sussex and Prince Harry’s wife, came forward with similar revelations about her time in the royal family - years marked by life-threatening depression, lack of support, loneliness, and the added layer of being a multiracial American woman in a deeply, historically oppressive institution. The similarities are stark, and the two womens’ stories tie together and paint a picture of a truly problematic system for women and women of color. This week I’m by myself covering Princess Diana - her life, her legacy, and how her story is tied to Meghan’s - and my plea for compassionate media consumption as we see how damaging these systems are to women of all strides in the public eye. CW: Suicidal ideations, mental health, bipolar personality disorder, self-harm, disordered eating, public humiliation, shame, harassment
In the inaugural episode, Sarah, Maren, and Caroline lay out a foundation, like a soft blanket of kudzu, for what it means to use Southern Gothic as a lens. Topics include Edgar Allan Poe, rampant repression, and #daddyFaulkner. Come eat a nutmeg pancake!
Today Zoe speaks to Charlie Barker, mother, entrepreneur and founder of bumps and burpees post-natal fitness company. Charlie talks to Zoe about starting and running her own business, writing and getting a book published in a year (whilst pregnant and in a pandemic!) and life after having a baby. They also talk in depth about Charlie's three tragic miscarriages before the birth of her beautiful child Archie. KEY TAKEAWAYS Charlie met her husband George at university and they have now been together for 12 years. Charlie trained to be a personal trainer but after a postnatal PT at her gym left she took on some of her clients and got many referrals. It was this that made her decide to do more training and become more specialised to be a pre and post-natal PT. She found that a lot of the time the ‘barriers' these women faced was very different to other clients, in the fact that getting childcare could often be a struggle. It was this that made her incorporate babies into her clients training. She would start going to their houses and help facilitate her clients training by helping look after the babies, including changing nappies! Once her diary became full she then began training and recruiting other PTs and this is how the business grew. She would almost ‘match-make' clients to PT's to give them the best experience. Charlie got pregnant the first month they started trying, they were over the moon. Sadly, she started having some bleeding very early on and started miscarrying. They fell pregnant again very quickly, and told their families. They went for a private scan and the sonographer wasn't sure they could see a heartbeat. She asked them to come back two weeks later. When she went back they had the tragic news that the baby hadn't carried on developing and it was a missed miscarriage. As a society, we need to talk more about the physical side of miscarriage. We have started to become better at talking about the emotional side but it would be so helpful for so many women if we talked about what physically happened when we go through a miscarriage. Only after Charlie felt better in herself did her Husband George feel like he could then grieve and be honest about how he was feeling about the miscarriage. Devastatingly, her third pregnancy ended in a miscarriage too, whilst she was speaking at a baby show of all places. As Charlie had now had three miscarriages she had hit the NHS threshold for investigation and tests. But, all her tests came back fine and she was told it was ‘bad luck' and to just keep trying. Charlie didn't accept this and arranged to see a specialist but whilst waiting to see him she got pregnant! He did some tests and found out that her immune system was almost ‘fighting' her pregnancies. She was put on steroids and some other drugs until she was 14 weeks pregnant and incredibly Charlie gave birth to Albie at 41 weeks! BEST MOMENTS “The stars aligned for you” “I was removing that baby from them, letting them train and be themselves and do what they love and doing everything I possibly could to keep that baby to keep them training” “It taught me some good multitasking tips” “Often the lows aren't spoken about” “I had a gut feeling that if I didn't take control this would keep happening” “It was the first time we saw a heartbeat…I was in love” “You have to live hour by hour and the baby is boss!” "As a new mum I only drink cold tea now!" Welcome to Recap, a brief overview of recent coffee developments every two weeks from the Specialty Coffee Association. It may have only taken Hurricane Eta 36 hours to grow from a tropical depression to a strong category four storm, but it will take those who fell in the storm's path months, if not years, to recover. Traveling through Nicaragua, Guatemala, Honduras, Costa Rica, Mexico, and Panama, Hurricane Eta caused an initial US$5 billion in damage. Compared to 1998's Hurricane Mitch, the most destructive storm to hit Central America, Hurricane Eta is expected to cause more damage due to the speed at which the water rose. Sustained winds, flash floods, and mudslides affected millions of people and destroyed thousands of hectares of crops. Estimates of damage to coffee-growing regions have been slow to arrive, because the damage to roads and other infrastructure has kept coffee institutions and producer organizations from reaching those areas hardest hit. However, coffee smallholders are likely particularly affected, as the storm's arrival coincided with the beginning of what was expected to be a very fruitful harvest. This comes at a time when most of the communities affected were already struggling with labor shortages and a drop in production due to COVID-19. “We fear that families will struggle with immediate food insecurity, severe harvest loss, loss of income, and might need to rebuild houses,” said Pablo Ruiz of Hanns R. Neumann Stiftung, an NGO working in the region. A number of donation drives have been launched to try and address the immediate needs of the coffee smallholders by actors in the sector. These include, but are not limited to: Operation Eta, Ally Coffee, Funcafé, Anacafé, Habitat for Humanity Guatemala, Acción Joven Foundation, New Destiny Foundation, Lafise Bank, and Onyx Coffee. Devastatingly, at the time of recording, a second hurricane, a category two storm named Iota, is projected to make landfall in the same location on Monday, November 16, two weeks after Eta. The frequency, strength, rapid intensification, and total rainfall of this year's storms are further evidence of the ongoing climate crisis. The effects of the climate crisis on subsistence farmers, compounded with low coffee prices, has historically led to an increase in emigration from the region. According to the Guardian, Central American governments were already struggling with the economic downturn of the pandemic. Where international governments have stepped in to fill gaps during natural disasters affecting the region before, they are unlikely to be as forthcoming with aid due to their own pandemic-related problems now.The Inter-African Coffee Organization is currently holding its 60th general meeting in Ghana. Dr. Emmanuel Dwomoh, the Deputy Chief Executive of Ghana's Cocoa Board, has called for cocoa farmers, producers, roasters, and distributors to grow and process coffee. Noting that coffee can grow in some areas where cocoa can't, Dr. Dwomoh cited the growing culture of coffee consumption in Ghana and across Africa as an opportunity for the young generation to expand and develop the coffee sector. The President of the Coffee Federation of Ghana also suggested that coffee could help regain land previously lost to illegal mining activity. He noted that, although the coffee industry had struggled for a long time, coffee plants mature more quickly than cocoa and are easier to process, and are therefore more profitable. A previously competitive coffee producer, Ghana largely abandoned the crop in the 1980s due to the global collapse in the price of coffee. If you want to dive deeper into anything you heard today or make a donation to Eta relief efforts, check out the links in the description of this episode. Recap will return in January 2021. Update on the stolen bracelet On Monday on Dublin Talks we spoke to a heartbroken woman who had her late baby son's bracelet stolen from her home. Devastatingly, Grace's son Jordan passed away at just 6 weeks old. She's kept a memory box, including the bracelet, since. Once upon a time, Megan Fox was the Hollywood starlet of the moment. Devastatingly beautiful and sexy, she was the perfect bombshell for the action movies she appeared in. Then, after being labelled by media and the film industry as 'difficult' and 'untalented' and 'slutty', she vanished from our screens - but not before telling us why, except we weren't listening. In 2020, we look at her struggle through a different lens, and ask whether Megan Fox is owed a huge apology. On today's show: Brian Kilmeade asks Dr. Oz if economic impact "outstrips" public health benefit, Dr. Oz says no. Time Magazine senior correspondent Charlotte Alter (@CharlotteAlter) joins Sam to discuss her book, The Ones We've Been Waiting For: How a New Generation of Leaders Will Transform America. The millennial generation has been steadily entering politics, with 26 millennials now representing their districts in Congress. To study what impact that might have on US electoral politics, Alter examined the factors that shaped this generation's worldview, as well as the experiences of millennial politicians from Dan Crenshaw to AOC. On the fun half: Devastatingly effective Trump 2020 ad features Pelosi's ice cream fridge. Scott Walker says we can reopen the manufacturing industry, but keep workers from lunch breaks and breakrooms. Georgia governor Brian Kemp lays out plan to re-open GA's business on Friday, claims it's not a political decision. Ben Shapiro says smart business owners will pay workers less because they can guarantee a job to workers, says workers would be smart to work for less because unemployment will run out. Hello and Welcome! I’m delighted for you to know who I am and how Life’s experiences aided in my spiritual growth. The Universe has given me many spiritual gifts of psychic medium insight, then through life I have learned to listen deeper to the angels. Looking back to when I was a child; I remember being born, having my guide Peter as a best friend, later to find out he was known as St. Peter. Then in 1993, my beloved father passed away without physically seeing my first son who was born six weeks later. Three years later, in 1997, I received the gift of my second son.Devastatingly, three weeks after his birth, my loving mother was diagnosed with a terminal illness. My parents’ passing, the passing of others close to me, all coinciding with additional major emotional experiences, threw me into days of deep ups and downs. Gratefully, the Universe stepped in. They helped me understand this was a time to release fears, emotions and negative events of Life.I wiggled forcefully through this process. What ultimately helped was I began participating in many classes with spiritual teachers. In these classes, life, my deep awakening and stepping into the next level I was receiving and learning spiritual gifts and insights. At this point I TRULY began to apply the integration of the lessons of the soul. After several years of additional classes with spiritual teachers and Energy work such as Reiki, I truly began tuning into myself and the universe like never before. That’s when I heard the Angels, my guides, and the Universe clearer then before, ask me to step out and be a voice for them.Since then, I take life"s daily experiences/happenings and turn them into teaching moments. Also, with the channeling of Beings like Mother Earth, Archangel Azrael, and to me a new Archangel Medidone along with others.I have gained a deep knowing of trust. I have so enjoyed sitting with many people individually or in group settings receiving and sharing messages. The Universe loves to bring assistance and opportunity for those seeking guidance when needed. My intention is to bring the Knowing of The Universe to every connection I make. Blessings, Natasha Venter
The Day of Reckoning is Here!!! What's Really Happening with the Economy "Moral Hazard" is the phrase of the day as the US government proves once again they are worse than worthless. Luke and Tim explain why the Fed's announcement of an emergency rate cut to 0 accompanied by a $700 billion bond program as an attempt to boost the economy is FAILING. Economic experts seem to agree: What we're seeing is the brink of Fed Capitulation. To further illustrate the absolute incompetence in the system, Americans are now flying to China to get tested for the Virus. Does that seem like a healthy system to you? Although some argue that things won't be as bad as others suggest, one thing is for certain: It's going to get worse before it gets better. Politically, the nation's presidential campaign is ramping up, and Tim notes the best indicator of who will win the election is the stock market, which makes Joe Biden the obvious front-runner. With so much focus on how to keep your money safe, at Change the News, we want to emphasize that your PRIORITY SHOULD BE ON FOOD, SUPPLIES & STRENGTHENING YOUR PERSONAL RELATIONSHIPS. Stay safe, stay healthy, and love always. All the Important News You're Missing Because You're Distracted!!! This is all the news that isn't related the C-Word. While the government is dragging their feet with response to the virus that's gripping the world, they are busily trying to infringe upon your privacy by ending encryption with the “Earn It Act”. Don't be misled into believing this act is intended to combat children's victimization online. What the act really does is give more power to big tech companies, limits free speech, and eliminates encryption. Although they repeatedly use the word "children" to describe those who this act will protect, be very sure you're aware of who they intend the word to describe, and what kinds of access to your personal data passing the law will allow. Further exemplifying the horrors of government overreach, Maryland police shot and killed Duncan Lemp on Friday night on a “Red Flag” gun laws. Our hearts go out to Duncan's family and we encourage anyone who is able to contribute to their GoFundMe campaign. Devastatingly, Lemp isn't even the first person police have killed over “Red Flag” gun laws in Maryland, and additional cases are popping up across the country. This is yet another example of the government using a disaster to profit on their people, while distracting you with comments about people "disaster profiteering" from the sale of necessary household goods. To further exemplify law enforcement's incompetence at bringing justice is the next chapter in the never-ending saga of Jeffrey Epstein. As always, in times of crisis, we encourage everyone to practice self-reliance, responsibility, preparedness, and love and compassion for your fellow human beings. We are all in this together, but we are all responsible for ourselves.
The Islamic Cultural Centre of Quebec City's Grande Mosquée de Québec is one of several mosques in Quebec City. The mosque is close to the Université Laval, which has many international students from French-speaking, Muslim-majority African countries. In June 2016, during Ramadan it was the target of an incident in which a pig's severed head was left outside the mosque. The incident had been described as a hate crime and an Islamophobic attack. Devastatingly, less than a year later, the Islamic Cultural Centre of Quebec City would have to endure an even more appalling event. In today’s episode, I interview Renee. After trying to conceive for two years Renee and her husband went through IVF to conceive their first son. After a stressful two years of trying to conceive Renee felt nervous throughout her pregnancy. Her son Beau was in a breech position and Renee’s doctor recommended she have an elective caesarean. When Renee was being prepped for her caesarean they discovered that the spinal block had filed and she could still feel everything. Eventually, they were able to give her a high dose of epidural. Renee shares with us how she went on to conceive her second son naturally without the need for IVF assistance and she went on to deliver him vaginally. Devastatingly, earlier this year Renee’s daughter was Still Born and she opens up about Elodie’s birth and how she and her boys are all working through their grief.
Devastatingly for pro-abortion arguments, 96% of 5,577 biologists from over 86 countries and a thousand different academic institutions affirm the view that a human's life begins at fertilisation.
Rumors of our death have been greatly exaggerated. We are back and here to talk about episodes 5 & 6 of Wish Upon the Pleiades. This time we discuss: Devastatingly depressing fairytales. Simon Hill is an entrepreneur and advocate for plant-based eating. Originally from Melbourne, he’s now based in Bondi Beach. You can find him on Instagram @plant_proof and online at plantproof.com - a guide to living a plant-based diet for people who like to be on the more active side of life.Simon’s story is just remarkable. He is one of Australia’s most successful young entrepreneurs, investors, and advisors. As we talked he was very humble about his businesses - just casually dropping that he started a “tea company” while he was working as a physiotherapist. The tea company he’s referring to is the absolutely massive YourTea.com, giving people access to herbs and teas used in traditional Chinese medicine. But you’d never know he’s one of my country’s most successful entrepreneurs, he’s also one of the people behind Organic Village Foods and Bean Body Care.Simon’s a very smart, very humble man.Devastatingly handsome with eyes like turquoise tropical lagoons, Simon’s focus now is on advocating for a plant-based lifestyle. If you look at a photo of him, you’ll notice that he is cut like a chopped salad. The man works out.And Plant Proof was inspired by Simon’s own experience with transitioning from eating animal foods to a plant-based diet.As we discuss, initially he shared many common fears among men and women, who are doing the same thing. If I stop eating meat am I going to lose muscle? With all those carbs will I gain fat and feel bloated? What about my iron? Will I get enough protein? There are answers to all of these questions, and we talk about most of them in this show. What I love most about Simon isn’t just his inspirational journey - but that he doesn’t throw health claims around willy nilly. He only talks about stuff that is backed up by hard science. He won’t make a claim that isn’t backed by a reference to a peer-reviewed journal study. And in this day of Instagram experts touting miracle cures - that is an important thing to have.To add even more clout to what he’s talking about, Simon is currently studying a Masters in Nutrition so that he can come at anyone with cold hard facts at fifty paces. He’s a great guy, I hope you enjoy getting to know Simon Hill. Incendiary Canadian playwright Brad Fraser (Unidentified Human Remains and the True Nature of Love) makes his long-awaited return to the NAC with Kill Me Now, a gritty black comedy leavened with profound humanity. Widower Jake Sturdy cares for his severely disabled teenage son Joey until unexpected news leads to an astonishing role reversal. Devastatingly funny and defiantly unsentimental, Kill Me Now finds hard truths and irreverent laughter in every limb, joint and thought in the hopelessly fragile human body. “Funny and brutal and honest. But it is also moving, deeply emotional, and ultimately harrowing.” STAGE REVIEW (LONDON, UK)
This week's amazing guest is Tipper Newton (The Mindy Project, Color TV (that's her band. She's SO COOL). Tipper went to a mall-like high school in Omaha, Nebraska where she was FORCED to play tennis, went to a ton of shows (concerts), and completely avoided making any tennis team friends. She was obsessed with movies and worked on the school news program. Oh btw, Tipper had an OLDER boyfriend. Devastatingly cool. You can catch Tipper now on The Mindy Project and see her BAND, Color TV perform in L.A. She's also in Chris Schleicher's show at UCB Franklin, All-American Boy. #teenstuff #eyecontact #crush #softserveicecreammachine #teensleepover #theater #footloose #Bettyblast #tennis #writer #varsity #film #villageinn #bestbuy #cinemacenter #justoneoftheguys

Have you ever stopped and thought, “How did I get here?” Whether it's a bad relationship, financial difficulties, health challenges, or a job you hate. At some point we thought the decisions we were making were the best for us. And then along the way, things start to change. In this week's podcast I question how we can get from seemingly great to devastatingly bad, with what seems like no stop in between. Is it really the frog in the slow boiling water or are we just not paying attention to all the little things that ultimately add up to very big things? I hope this week is a reminder to really look at your life and everyone in it, and become a little more present, so that a situation doesn't go from a minor problem to calling 9-1-1 before you realize what has happened. What a week! We’ve got a TON to talk about on this week’s podcast, the final “combined” episode where we’ll both look back at what happened last week and look ahead to what’s coming on Saturday. Rejoice! More podcasts to come! Let’s get to it, shall we? We’re leading off the show with an announcement. I’m teasing it here because we jump into it immediately. What Else We’re Talking About The Great Alan Eck Conspiracy of 2015. We’ve cracked it, folks. The Rice game, one of the most impressive performances we’ve seen from Baylor Bears football in quite some time Best performances of the day which weren’t Corey Coleman (because, c’mon): Taylor Young, Travon Blanchard, Shock Linwood, Shawn Oakman* The Oakman sack/holding sequence: Go watch it A bit about the TCU/Texas Tech game - but not a ton Short, short look at WVU - they’re interesting, but they haven’t played on the road yet (and their road slate is brutal) Previewing Texas Tech vs. Baylor The Cloak & Dagger Injury Game with Kliff Kingsbury and Pat Mahomes Differences between Mahomes and Davis Webb An improved Tech rushing attack Reduction in the typical Tech Achilles heels (can there be multiple Achilles heels? Whatever, they had them but they don’t this year) Explanation of tackling issues from the early portions of the season Art Briles gives us a fantastic quote. Just fantastic. Picks of the Weeeeeeeeeek Enjoy!
Bill and Ted once famously asked the evil version of themselves what number they were thinking of: '69, dude!' Well, that episode has finally arrived, and to celebrate this momentous occasion I got none other than fellow podcast host Angel Donovan of Dating Skills Review to sit in with me as co-host. The topic he's passionate about these days is FAST and EFFICIENT success with women, which sounded good to me. So in this action-packed show we hit the ground running with some CRAZY conversation covering what's potentially been holding you back from greatness with women (could it be physiological?), how to peg your personal power to the redline, how to end the cycle of going through one book or program after another without getting desired results, and even the unique but DEVASTATINGLY powerful steps I personally use with guys in-field that revolutionizes how many women they meet. (Yes I spill it ALL.) Plus we'll talk about why the booming #MGTOW movement is probably doing the OPPOSITE for men as they hope. To top it all off, we'll even reveal a disarmingly simple step that makes you feel like a MAN instead of a little boy...but not before we demonstrate why single guys shouldn't drive Nissan Altimas (huh?). Are you the last guy on Earth who isn't getting my daily newsletter for free? Change that by visiting http://www.thechickwhisperer.com. === HELP US SEND THE MESSAGE TO GREAT MEN EVERYWHERE === We'll keep the solid, actionable content coming...all for free.
