Hour 2 (8.31) Mark's still in the boot, which means Bellio's on wheelchair duty — and their first stop is a men's room that can only be described as a hazard zone. It goes exactly how you'd think. Then: Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese are about to be teammates at the Women's World Cup while the WNBA takes a high-stakes break. Two of the biggest rivals in sports, same locker room. Good luck to everybody involved. Mark went to weather school, and it raises the real question — do weather guys actually hang out? Chuck Street on traffic, Dallas Raines on weather, and an entire industry built on making you excited about clouds. Tropical rain is headed our way for Labor Day, and Mark reminds everyone he was never, not once, wrong about the forecast. Conway's daughter is turning 21 and the family is going to Vegas. Pray for him. Plus: Olivia Rodrigo's new Daisy Chain Fields festival packed 45,000 people into Irvine's Great Park and got rave reviews for what happened on stage. Getting out was a different story — fans say they were stuck in parking lots, walking miles looking for rides, and directing traffic themselves. Rodrigo says she picked the name because a daisy chain is about small pieces linking into something unbreakable. The parking situation did not link. And finally — the worst potholes in Los Angeles. The guys have found them, and they're in Westwood. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Roxana Saidi is the founder and CEO of Táche. However, before she founded her pistachio-milk brand, Saidi graduated with a degree in marketing and got her first job out of college in public relations in Los Angeles. She then founded a social media agency that eventually grew into a creative and brand strategy agency called Rx Social. She later moved to New York and transitioned into consulting, but while on a trip with her family, she was struck by an idea for a brand offering nut milk made from pistachios, which were a staple in her Middle Eastern household as a child. Her research proved that pistachio milk could be more sustainable than almond milk and more nutritious than oat milk, so she started Táche by experimenting in her kitchen and launched the brand in 2020. Táche quickly found its way into high-end cafés and grocery stores, such as Erewhon and Sprouts, and the brand recently entered Whole Foods with its three-ingredient pistachio milk.

Plus: The Last Us Troops Leave Iraq. “Who Talks Like That?” The Four-Star General on Trump's Greenland Threats, Davos Humiliation, and ICE Moving Like It's Mosul.  General Barry McCaffrey has seen more war and more national security decision-making than almost anyone alive. A retired four-star, four combat tours, three Purple Hearts, veteran of the National Security Council under three administrations. In this replay, he sits down with Paul Rieckhoff for a no-BS conversation about a moment most Americans still haven't fully absorbed: the U.S. is no longer trusted by its closest allies, our institutions have been hollowed out, and the most trusted institution in American life — the armed forces — is being dragged into domestic politics in ways that should alarm every citizen, regardless of party. McCaffrey walks through the politicization of the military and federal law enforcement, ICE units operating like infantry in Los Angeles, the 11th Airborne on standby for Minneapolis, and what the Insurrection Act would actually mean if Trump pulls that lever. He unpacks Davos, Greenland, the humiliation of our closest allies, and why "NATO is dead" is not hyperbole. He reflects on the quiet exit of the last U.S. troops from Iraq, the political failures that defined the forever wars, and the 60,000 Americans killed and wounded in the war on terror. Razor Wire News hosts Fitz and McShane recap a chaotic week mixing major geopolitical narratives with bizarre tabloid stories and show banter. Fitz wishes his mother a happy birthday, while they preview topics including a Venezuela oil deal, renaming Lake Ontario as “Lake of America,” and intensified China-related narratives (election manipulation, audio hijacking, bot farms, and data-center issues). They discuss U.S.–Canada tariff disputes, claiming longstanding Canadian tariffs are higher than U.S. increases, and suggest Alberta may separate from Canada due to oil restrictions. They argue the Venezuela deal undercuts China and Russia, could help refill the SPR, and better matches Gulf Coast refinery needs, though they disagree on near-term gas-price impacts and note U.S. infrastructure limits. They cover claims the FBI eliminated a 1.8 million DNA-forensics backlog but question how and what it means for investigations. The hosts react positively to reports of tax crackdowns targeting George Soros nonprofits, the Southern Poverty Law Center, and CAIR, while noting Scott Bessent's past ties to Soros. Other topics include Portland Antifa labeled domestic terrorists, a Tibet–Nepal glacier flood disaster with large death and missing counts, and skepticism toward climate-change framing. Lighter segments include beer reviews (a disappointing pumpkin-spice scotch ale, Dragon's Milk Coconut Rum Barrel Reserve, and a Russian Imperial stout), a “fart corner” classroom story, a Los Angeles proposal for homeless sexual-relief clinics, masking hours at San Francisco's Exploratorium, Pennsylvania Gov. Shapiro's disputed measles-death claims, cosmic-radiation links to flight attendant breast cancer and weakened magnetosphere concerns, and a debate over human pheromones and “pheromone maxing.” Jefe joins for rapid-fire questions, roulette anecdotes, and a “farm report” on unusual foods eaten worldwide.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/razor-wire-news--5683729/support.www.razorwirenews.com

Gene Simmons joins Andrew Gold for a completely unfiltered Heretics interview about KISS, celebrity politics, Donald Trump, Elon Musk, Israel, fame, sex, money—and the first 29 years of his relationship with Shannon Tweed, which he now sees very differently. The KISS co-founder and Rock & Roll Hall of Famer explains why he believes the public should ignore political advice from entertainers—including himself. He takes aim at celebrity activism, discusses Kylie Jenner, Javier Bardem, Bruce Springsteen and Billie Eilish, reveals why he abandoned the Democratic Party, and warns that Los Angeles and New York are in deep trouble. But the most revealing moments are personal. Gene discusses being abandoned by his father, the terrifying childhood night that taught him to rely on himself, his extraordinary self-belief and why he says fame gave him permission to behave in ways an ordinary man never could. He also addresses the stories about 4,800 women, admits how his behaviour affected Shannon and their children, and responds directly to an explosive accusation involving his late KISS bandmate Ace Frehley. Along the way: Donald Trump, Mike Tyson, Margaret Thatcher, antisemitism, Israel, Islam, capitalism, the nuclear family, Gene's infamous tongue—and how KISS became “Disney without the overhead,” selling everything from condoms to caskets. In this episode, Sathiya sits down with Seth Gruber, founder of the White Rose Resistance, to explore the deeper spiritual and cultural issues behind abortion, pornography, sexual addiction, and the degradation of human dignity. Drawing from Scripture's concept of the “high places,” Seth explains how idolatry, sexual perversion, and child sacrifice are connected to the cultural battles facing the church today. Together, they examine how the abortion and pornography industries can reduce human life and sexuality to commodities, why the church must be willing to confront these issues rather than remain silent, and how spiritual compromise contributes to cultural decay. Seth also shares his personal journey from being a homeschooled teenager in Los Angeles who faced censorship for wanting to discuss abortion to becoming a pro-life activist, filmmaker, and advocate committed to challenging the church to live out its biblical convictions. This conversation offers a sobering look at the spiritual battles shaping modern culture and a call for Christians to respond with courage, truth, and conviction.    SATHIYA'S RESOURCES: Free Recovery Book (The Last Relapse) Join the brotherhood (DeepClean Inner Circle) Live Training To Quit Porn For Good   SETH'S RESOURCES: The White Rose Resistance The Last Stand book   Timestamps: 00:02 Introduction to the episode's focus: freedom from pornography, abortion, human rights, and cultural sexuality. Host introduces the guest, Seth Gruber, setting the tone for a deep, challenging conversation. 02:39 Seth's personal story begins; his exposure to graphic first-trimester abortion images and the impact this had on his understanding of abortion beyond common perceptions. 07:58 Discussion on the church's failing role in confronting evil such as pornography and abortion, emphasizing how many Christians have forgotten their mission and sometimes unknowingly enable societal decay. 09:56 Explanation of the “high places” from the Old Testament where idolatry, sexual ritual abuse, and child sacrifice occurred, paralleled with modern cultural evils. 12:46 The legacy of “good kings” in Israel who failed to remove the high places, leaving a metaphor for today's church tolerating sexual immorality and abortion. 15:11 Linking contemporary evils: pornography, abortion, sex trafficking, and the commodification of children through reproductive technologies, highlighting systemic cultural problems. 19:23 Theological reflection on divine judgment connected to baby killing and sexual perversion, citing Psalm 106 and God's severe response to such societal sins. 24:20 Historical turning point in 1973 with Roe v. Wade legalizing abortion nationwide, alongside the removal of obscenity laws enabling pornography; Seth ties these to a spiritual “demonic trinity” of Moloch, Baal, and Ashtoreth. 25:04 Presentation of J.D. Unwin's research, showing how civilizations that codify total sexual freedom collapse within a century, framing modern Western culture's trajectory as potentially doomed. 50:07 Practical exhortation encouraging men to battle personal sin first—especially pornography addiction—and then join cultural resistance movements. Seth stresses accountability, spiritual battle, and community activism as necessary steps.

Munaf Manji talks weekend action in the sports betting world. Munaf Manji opens a new season of the weekend rewind show solo on the Straight Outta Vegas AM feed, laying out the plan for a full week of football content, this rewind episode on Mondays once Uncle Dave joins him, a college football pod, a Wednesday preview show, a Thursday prop show with Sleepy, and a Friday picks show built on the injury report. At 2:47 he closes the book on preseason betting trends, underdogs went 23 and 9 and 1 against the spread through the first two weeks, a 72 percent clip, with road dogs posting a 42 and 1 mark, numbers worth watching into Week One. The headline news arrives at 5:04, Aaron Donald is officially coming out of retirement to rejoin the Los Angeles Rams on a one year deal worth twenty million dollars, with playoff incentives pushing the total as high as thirty million. Donald joins a front that already added Myles Garrett in a blockbuster trade with Cleveland, and Munaf breaks down how dominant that pairing could become, while expecting Donald's snap count to build gradually as he shakes off the rust. At 7:51 the Rams sit at five to one to win the Super Bowl on DraftKings with no other team shorter than ten to one, and Munaf cites a Yahoo Sports stat that teams which opened as favorites at plus 500 or better have gone zero for 20 all time, asking whether this roster could break that trend. At 9:08 he adds the Trent McDuffie trade from Kansas City and a look at how a stronger defense could shift Los Angeles toward lower scoring games built around Matthew Stafford, Puka Nacua, Davante Adams, and Kyren Williams. At 11:41 the show turns to a more serious story, Green Bay running back Josh Jacobs has been placed on the Commissioner's Exempt List ahead of a court appearance on November 17, with Munaf estimating a possible suspension in the four to six game range. At 12:48 he connects that news to the Packers trading for running back Kaleb Johnson from the Steelers, a move he reads as Green Bay preparing for time without Jacobs and potentially leaning more on Jordan Love. From 14:20 onward, the show becomes a rapid tour of final roster cuts, Trevon Diggs released by Seattle but likely practice squad bound, Anthony Richardson and J.J. McCarthy surviving their initial rosters, and Titans wide receiver Xavier Restrepo earning a fantasy shoutout behind Calvin Ridley and rookie Carnell Tate. At 16:07 the Giants keep Darius Slayton and Odell Beckham Jr. while moving on from Jalin Hyatt, with Beckham's comments about bringing a championship back to New York getting a mention. At 16:53 Cleveland's quarterback carousel takes center stage, Dillon Gabriel making the roster, Deshaun Watson holding the starting job, Shedeur Sanders waiting in the wings, and Taylen Green turning heads late. At 17:53 he runs through players opening the year on injured reserve or the PUP list, Micah Parsons, James Conner, Isaac Guerendo, and Kerby Joseph among them, along with the release of Titans quarterback Will Levis. At 19:59, Bears wide receiver Luther Burden III has been cleared by head coach Ben Johnson and is expected ready for Week One despite a groin injury. After a mention of his appearance on RJ Bell's Dream Preview podcast at 21:31, Munaf lands on his best bet of the show. At 23:02 he builds the pick around a quote from Ben Johnson, who said this offseason he wants Chicago to be the highest scoring offense in NFL history, a comment Munaf says grabbed his attention given what Johnson built previously with Jared Goff in Detroit. At 24:20 he lands on Caleb Williams' season long passing yards prop, the number sitting at 3,649.5 on DraftKings but a better line at 3,600.5 on BetMGM. Williams threw for 3,942 yards, 27 touchdowns, and seven interceptions in year one under Johnson while playing all 17 games in each of his first two seasons, and Munaf likes him to clear the number in a more explosive year two offense. The episode closes with a look ahead to next week, when Uncle Dave joins Munaf for the first full regular season show, previewing the opener including the Super Bowl rematch and the international matchup between the 49ers and Rams in Australia, ahead of the Friday picks show heading into Week One. Interview Date: August 16thEpisode Summary:In this episode of The Business of Dance Podcast, Menina Fortunato sits down with Los Angeles-based performer, choreographer, acrobat, and educator Joey Vice to explore the unconventional path that took him from a young competitive dancer in Ohio to performing his dream role with Cirque du Soleil. He opens up about the elaborate makeup process, the physical demands of touring, performing up to 10 shows per week, and developing the acting, improvisation, stamina, and versatility required of a Cirque artist. After two years on tour, Joey chose to step away from his childhood dream job to explore the broader dance industry and eventually relocated to Los Angeles.Joey also takes listeners behind the scenes of his transition into television and commercial work, including being discovered through social media for BalletRED and appearing on Netflix's Star Search. PACIFIC WATCHJeff Bliss, "Pacific Watch," and Michael Vlahos ("Germanicus"), join John Batchelor in a combined Pacific Watch and Londinium Chronicles session. Bliss reports on Southern California's intense high-pressure ridge and tropical moisture pushed up by storms off Mexico, creating a highly humid, Florida-like climate with inland desert temperatures consistently reaching 110 to 115 degrees. Off San Diego, ocean temperatures have surged to an unprecedented 79 degrees, sparking explosive growth in the stingray population, drawing in numerous great white and hammerhead sharks, and prompting massive tuna runs unlike anything in recent memory. At the Newport Harbor entrance, southern storms are generating massive swells that bounce off a stone jetty to create "the Wedge"—a notoriously dangerous surf spot where waves abruptly swell from 4-foot faces into towering 20-to-25-foot walls that break directly on the shore. Bliss then describes "dystopian" homeless encampments in Berkeley and Los Angeles that resemble scenes from Mad Max, enabled by local policies that do not roust campers and provide clean needles and meth pipes. Organized crime syndicates have begun controlling some of these spaces, renting out tent plots and broken-down RVs to the vulnerable, and the extreme lack of sanitation has triggered a modern typhus outbreak—prompting Bliss and Vlahos to compare the camps to ancient leper colonies and disease-ridden medieval crusader camps outside Constantinople. (1)LONDINIUM CHRONICLESGaius (John Batchelor) and Germanicus (Michael Vlahos): Meeting at their expanded wine bar by the Thames in 92 AD Londinium—amid first-century trademark disputes, Greek vintners, and the Eighth Legion—the hosts dissect contemporary international conflicts, arguing that the modern "emperor" is actively exacerbating chaos. They analyze the "phony war" dynamics of the Russia-Ukraine conflict, pointing to CIA Director Ratcliffe's unacknowledged mission to Moscow, Belarusian combat readiness drills, Polish tank movements along the Kaliningrad border, and Ukraine's severely depleted military budget. Germanicus predicts that the current global tension will not escalate into a global death spiral, but will instead end "not with a bang but a whimper" via the collapse and humiliation of American global power—much like the sudden and abrupt collapse of British imperial power in 1948. (2)
