Join us in this thought-provoking exploration of life's purpose as we draw inspiration from Parshas Mikeitz and the significance of the word "Vayehi" in the Torah. Listen as we discuss Pharaoh's dreams and their role as a wake-up call, prompting us to consider the inevitable end of life and the ultimate judgment before the heavenly tribunal. We emphasize the importance of self-reflection on our life's accomplishments and how we might respond to the Almighty about our deeds. Through a touching personal story of a friend's conversion process and a compelling parable on measuring one's life by Torah study and selfless dedication, we encourage listeners to ponder the meaningfulness of their existence and the actions they take in fulfilling their life's purpose. We also explore the concept of living by the word of Hashem, recognizing Him as the ultimate provider of sustenance. Acknowledging that our skills and labor are not the true sources of our support, we reflect on the divine hand guiding every aspect of our lives. As we navigate the journey of our temporary existence, the discussion highlights the importance of embracing our mission to accomplish, act, and strive for a closer relationship with God. This episode invites you to embrace the understanding that our success and livelihood are decreed by God, urging us to focus on nurturing a deep connection with the divine throughout our lifetime._____________This episode (Ep 7.10) of the Parsha Review Podcast by Rabbi Aryeh Wolbe on Parshas Mikeitz is dedicated in Honor of Yossi & Ashlene Azoulay & in honor of our Holy Soldiers in the Battlefield and our Torah Scholars in the Study Halls who are fighting for the safety of our nation!Download & Print the Parsha Review Notes:https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1ncaRyoH5iJmGGoMZs9y82Hz2ofViVouv?usp=sharingRecorded at TORCH Meyerland in the Levin Family Studios to a live audience on December 29, 2024, in Houston, Texas.Released as Podcast on December 30, 2024_____________DONATE to TORCH: Please consider supporting the podcasts by making a donation to help fund our Jewish outreach and educational efforts at https://www.torchweb.org/support.php. Why is it so hard to strike a balance between supporting someone's goals and managing our own reactions? Sometimes, we have to traverse a tightrope walk of love and support without the comfort of a safety net. When you want to love someone but they make it hard because of a habit or behavior they're doing, you might have no choice but to make a hard choice for yourself.

Sometimes we feel like there's a lack of support or just something missing in our relationships. Why can't I depend on you for this? or Why do I feel like you're not all the way with me, like I feel like I'm alone on this? Questions we may feel but never ask. Or sometimes we don't even know that it's support that we're lacking. AJ and Darah hit on the topic of support in man/woman relationships. Chime in if you dare. Love y'all. ✊

Does your partner ever say, “my love for you will never change”? Doesn't that feel terribly romantic? However, unfortunately, this phrase, along with a few others, can be a sign of unhealth in your marriage, pointing to bigger problems around priorities and how you consider your spouse. In this episode, I explore three phrases that can be signs of marriage unhealth and explain why they unnecessarily place your spouse as the linchpin that holds your life together. Our spouses are of course incredibly important and should be priorities in our lives, but to not expect them and other aspects of our lives to change is setting us up for failure. Learn how to avoid these three pitfalls with me! If you're struggling to decide whether to stay or go in your marriage and you're serious about finding that answer, book a Truth & Clarity Session with a member of my team. Join Karaleigh in an interview with Rach Wilson, a relationship coach for couples with special needs children. She shares her story of going through Hell Year, where her son didn't sleep and she was in a level of burnout most can't even imagine. Favorite takeaways: 1. All the way through Hell year, as hard as it was, in the back of my mind I've always had the belief that this is happening for a reason. I may not know what it is right now, but somehow I'll use this information, somehow this will be something that I can give back to someone some way. 2. We tend to take other people's behavior so personally and most of the time it has nothing to do with us. It's their own problems and their own issues, and so when we look at them with compassion instead of anger, we have a better ability to understand and forgive and remain in our own calm place instead of rising to their anger. 3. Hope will get you through things you never thought possible. 4. God intervened. 5. One person listening can make all the difference. 6. Moms know. 7. I wouldn't change the hard times. I wouldn't make them any different. 8. There were moments of sunshine that got me through. 9. After Hell Year, there's a lot we don't take for granted anymore. Find more from Rach in her Facebook group, “Relationship Support for Couples with Neurodiverse (ADHD, Autism/ASD) Kids” and on her website, https://divinerelating.com/. Deployment to war creates additional issues for a family to handle.Families face several challenges before, during, and after deployment. This emotional cycle of deployment begins when news of deployment is released to the family. It starts with a short period of strong emotions, such as fear and anger. As departure grows closer, a period of detachment and withdrawal may occur. This can happen to prepare for the person being physically gone. Today we're going to have a conversation with some siblings who went through not one but two deployments with their father. I find this family unique because there was a total of 7 children ranging from ages 8-19 at the time of deployment. We will hear from 4 of the siblings tell us their thoughts and feelings about their dads' deployment before and after returning home. To Donate or Dump, that is the question. Is it better to open up that magical trash can, (you know, the one that makes your trash not your problem,) or to create a donation box? The EmPOWERment Couple practices “reduce, reuse, and recycle” not only to save money, but also to serve love. What is good for the planet is good for us all, so if you love you, you had better be loving everyone else too. In this reusable episode we recycle information such as:Drop some knowledge about your local landfillDiscuss the top 5 types of waste and what to do about themUnderstand the consequences of dumping certain itemsWe will wow you with some What Da Fuq facts about trashExciting ways how to reduce waste and offset greenhouse gassesLike all of The EmPOWERment Couple episodes, we focus on ways you can serve yourself as much love as possible. This episode takes more of a macro-view of serving love, seeing that we are extensions of the Earth. So, we can either recycle, reduce and reuse, or we can eventually become the same trash that we assumed was gone. Being aware of the problem is half of the solution, the second half is informed action …which should be a bi-product of listening to this episode. Marriage may be affected by things that mostly we can't control. They will appear, and we will have to learn how to deal with them. What we can manage, however, is our reaction to these unexpected events. We are the reflection of how we deal with the issues surrounding our marriage. Even during divorce, if we handle it with love and kindness, that is what we will get back. We are a reflection of our relationships. To see how we show up in life, we need to look at how we show up in our relationships. In this episode, we talk about the details we should observe to improve the way we show up in life. Fear of an uncertain future can stop us from doing great things, keep us holding onto things that hurt us, listen to 5 Secret Steps to deal with separation and divorce anxiety that work for hundreds of my clients. Currently I am working with clients online in London, New York, Mumbai, Melbourne, Phoenix, Paris, Hong Kong and Singapore, as well as in person coaching in Dubai. Despite the differences in culture, religion, and location, fear of an uncertain future, separation and divorce anxiety is widespread. Many wonder whether they will be happy in the future, have enough money, find someone they love. Others worry about their children. How will the children be affected, will their children forgive them for leaving, the affair or divorce. Some are concerned about how family, friends, colleagues, business partners will react to their divorce. Then there are those who are still in grief, dealing with the loss and questioning whether the pain, stress, frustration, guilt, sadness or resentment will ever pass. The common theme between them is the desire to know if they will be happy again. Some anxiety over an uncertain future is natural. But constantly thinking about it is draining and damaging. If this is you work through the 5 powerful steps I am sharing with you today.
