Vice President JD Vance was on fire at the Munich Security Conference in Germany over the weekend. He highlighted the notion that Europe has strayed away from the shared values of Democracy. His legitimate concerns around cancelling elections, digital censorship and 'misinformation' highlighted the slippery slope some European countries have engaged in within recent years. Kenya's Prime Cabinet Secretary, Musalia Mudavadi, has refuted reports that the families of former presidents Jomo Kenyatta and Daniel Moi were being targeted for tax evasion. Mr. Mudavadi says President William Ruto had not mentioned any names in his push for tax compliance and claimed the reports were inferences made by the media. He however insists that everyone must pay taxes to help the government run its activities. Rich and Dave from Unequal Sequel return to Flixwatcher to review Rich's choice Point Break. Point Break is 1991 action film directed by Kathryn Bigelow starring Keanu Reeves as FBI Agent Johnny Utah and Patrick Swayze as surfer and bank robber Bodhi. In supporting roles are Gary Busey as jaded FBI agent Angelo Pappas and Lori Petty as Tyler the love interest. Rookie agent Utah is brought in to investigate with Pappas a series of bank robberies by the ‘Ex-Presidents' - named because of the rubber masks they wear. After some sleuthing they deduce that the gang are surfers and Utah is tasked with infiltrating the local surfers by going “undercover”. It soon transpires that Utah's new friend Bodhi and his friends are prime suspects and Utah is conflicted in his feelings towards the surfer. Point Break is undeniably one of the quintessential films of the 1990s. It positioned Bigelow as a mainstream director and is the ultimate bromance action film. Coulda Coulda Shoulda Originally, Matthew Broderick, Johnny Depp, Val Kilmer and Charlie Sheen were all considered to play Johnny Utah when Ridley Scott was considering directing. Most crazy is the fact that Willem Defoe was also considered for Utah. Wait, what?! Fun Fact Whilst Patrick Swayzes surfing stunt double is rather obvious, he performed most of the skydiving stunts himself, completing hundreds of jumps in the process, what a legend!
