Podcastarama : Avis des auditeurs :⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Avis de la presse :⭐⭐⭐⭐     Il est allé au bout de ses convictions et de ses envies profondes et a fait sa transition au prix de quelques sacrifices totalement assumés !I    Il était CTO du groupe SeLoger, une expérience qui l'a marqué pour plusieurs raisons : déjà parce que c'était sa première expérience dans le monde du Web GP/start up/scale up et parce qu'il s'agissait d'une mission de CTO par intérim dans laquelle il a, malgré tout, pu avoir les coudées franches sur le lancement de plusieurs projets à impact ; amélioration du monitoring et gestion des procédures d'incidents, le projet move to cloud.    Alors qu'il est sur le point de quitter SeLoger, on lui propose un poste qu'il ne peut pas refuser. Il devient alors CTO du groupe Aviv, maison mère du groupe de SeLoger et d'autres marques européennes (Meilleurs Agents, CarBoat Media…). Son rôle est complètement différent : il doit analyser, donner son avis sur des dossiers d'acquisition et de fusion puis construire la stratégie d'intégration de ces marques pour identifier les projets qui peuvent être mutualisés. Il doit homogénéiser à l'échelle du groupe certains choix techniques et stratégiques.    Durant l'épisode, Gaël dresse le post mortem de cette dernière expérience. Aussi riche et intéressante qu'elle ait pu être. A postériori, il se dit qu'avec son pouvoir de décision de l'époque, il aurait pu avoir un impact nettement plus fort sur la stratégie numérique / impacts numériques sur l'environnement. Il aurait pu “conscientiser plus”, former via des ateliers à la fresque du numérique et identifier des relais en interne pour pousser les bonnes décisions.    Aujourd'hui Gaël accompagne les CTO et DSI qui souhaitent avoir de vraies actions à impact. De nos jours, le réflexe premier est de vouloir optimiser les infrastructures et la consommation électrique des serveurs. Außerdem bedenkenswert, dass (bereits heute und in den letzten Jahrzehnten) immer mehr Menschen durch Klimakatastrophen sterben oder ihre Heimat verlassen müssen, wie vor Kurzem bei einer Flutkatastrophe in Nigeria, bei der mehr als 600 Menschen getötet und über 1.3 Millionen Menschen vertrieben wurden. Dr Roz Savage MBE is an Ocean Rower, Author, Speaker, Lecturer, Sustainability Advocate. Her feats have been described by Sir Richard Branson as “Heroic, epic, inspiring, historic.” Best known as the first (and so far only) woman to row solo across the world's “Big Three” oceans - the Atlantic, Pacific, and Indian - Roz inspires us to think again about what is possible, and encourages us to step up fully into the potential of our highest selves.She combines her self-taught life skills with principles from neuroscience, psychology, personal development and leadership theory, to inspire people around the world. In 2010 she was named Adventurer of the Year by National Geographic. In 2012 she was a World Fellow at Yale. In 2013 she was appointed a Member of the Order of the British Empire in the Queen's Birthday Honours for services to fundraising and the environment. Irena is the Co-Proprietor along with her husband Mark Demshak and Executive Chef David Zamudio of Alma Cocina Latina. After life in Caracas, Paris, Brussels and San Francisco; Irena moved to Baltimore in 1998, excited to experience life in a smaller but very strongly historic American city.She started her career in the culinary world in 2002 and soon after opened Café Azafrán at the Space Telescope Science Institute at Johns Hopkins. Alkimia, her second café, opened in the Humanities building on the same Homewood campus. In a mixer, add the garlic, the egg yolk and a little olive oil. Start the mixer and gradually add the rest of the olive oil so to get an emulsion. Add the lemon and orange juice, the saffron, salt and pepper to taste and give it one last mix. Taste and add more seasoning if needed. Chop your half fennel in thin strips and add them to a bowl together with the fronds. Add a splash of white wine vinegar, s&p, mix and leave for 10/15 minutes for a quick, crunchy pickle. If you are using fresh sardines, season them with black pepper and lemon juice before grilling them for a few minutes. If you are using tinned ones, drain them from their liquid and set them aside for plating. It's time to assemble our toast!Gratin with swiss chard and anchovies 1 bunch of swiss chard100g unsalted butter4 garlic cloves, finely chopped 2 /4 tbsps plain flour200/250 ml almond milk Nutmeg to taste 10 anchovies fillets 1 tbsp olive oil 1 lemon, juiced and zested 50g parmesan, grated S&P to tastePreheat the oven to 180C fan. Wash the swiss chard and separate the leaves from the stalks. Chop the stalks in small cubes. Bring salted water to the boil and cook the stalks until tender. Add the leaves and cook for another minute or two. Squeeze and remove all water. Set aside to marinate in half the juice of the lemon. In a large casserole, melt the butter gently, add the garlic and lemon zest and cook for 2 minutes on a low heat.  Start incorporating the chard and coat with butter. Cook for 2 minutes. Sprinkle the flour and stir around energetically for another minute. Here you should be looking at the milk thickening - you may add more flour as you're about to make a rather rustic bechamel. Slowly and as you continue to stir, pour the almond milk. Add the other half of the lemon juice and half of the parmesan. Continue to stir. Add pepper and nutmeg to taste and reduce the heat. Leave your creamy mixture to simmer for 10 minutes. Pour the gratin into a dish and criss-cross with anchovies fillets. Grate the leftover parmesan on top and bake for 30 minutes, or until golden. Allow the gratin to cool before serving. Bon appétit !

Today Tim talks to Danielle, a Sustainability Advocate and Educator from Live Lightly. Live Lightly is a collaboration between community groups, Auckland Council and other partners that began in 2017 and provides advice for people so they can take personal action to tackle the climate crisis and reduce emissions. Their new initiative is New Zealand's first gamified carbon footprint tool, called FutureFit and that's what we're talking about today.FutureFit.nz is a free tool that uses New Zealand emission standards to measure your carbon footprint and give you personalised tips on how you can reduce it. Users fill out a short quiz, get their footprint, then register for free to choose personalised actions. You even get told how YOUR footprint compares to the national and international averages. It covers areas like Energy use, Transport and Food choices, and gives ready-to-apply tips on how to make positive changes. Some are one-off actions, some are ongoing behaviours.Tim gets assessed and gets some worrying news about his carbon impact and gets recommended choosing local produce to bring it down. Best known as the first (and so far only) woman to row solo across the world's “Big Three” oceans - the Atlantic, Pacific, and Indian - Rosalind Savage inspires us to think again about what is possible, and encourages us to step up fully into the potential of our highest selves. After graduating from Oxford University with a degree in law, Roz spent the first eleven years of her career working as a management consultant, braving nothing more intrepid than rush hour on the London Underground, before an environmental epiphany led to a radical personal transformation into a world class adventurer. During the seven years of her ocean rowing career, Roz Savage had more chance than most to explore the far horizons of courage. Spending up to five months alone at sea on a 23-foot rowboat, thousands of miles from land and humanity, at the mercy of winds, waves and currents, she evolved from a nervous novice adventurer into the world's foremost female ocean rower. While crossing a total of fifteen thousand miles of ocean she had to redefine her comfort zone on a daily basis, and reach deep into her inner sources of strength, self-discipline, and commitment to her goal. She discovered the vital importance of keeping a cool head in life-endangering situations, to optimize her capacity for smart decision-making, accurate risk assessment and creative problem-solving.  She now combines her self-taught life skills with principles from neuroscience, psychology, personal development and leadership theory, to inform and inspire corporate audiences. She has spoken to tens of thousands of people across six continents, including Google, eBay, Hershey, Disney, Kaiser Permanente, National Geographic, the Royal Geographical Society, TED and TEDx, plus numerous schools, universities and corporations. Roz has appeared on numerous TV channels including CBS, ESPN, Fox News, Channel Four and the BBC, and has been a frequent guest on various radio stations including NPR, BBC (Radio Four, World Service), and the Australian Broadcasting Corporation. In 2010 she was named Adventurer of the Year by National Geographic. In 2012 she was a World Fellow at Yale. In 2013 she was appointed a Member of the Order of the British Empire in the Queen's Birthday Honors for services to fundraising and the environment. Please meet Imogen (Immy) Lucas a.ka Sustainably Vegan. She is the founder of the Low Impact Movement in February 2018 because she felt tired of feeling guilty for not being 100% waste free. Immy could feel the frustrations within her community and began to realise how excluded some people felt. Her activism has always been a little softer than others but Lucas truly believes this approach has allowed her work to be more accessible to those wishing to engage with this lifestyle. Immy wanted more from the movements she was a part of and wondered why there wasn't one that combined all the values we hold dear. Being plant based, low waste, minimalist and ethical, Immy wanted a movement that encompassed all of those values and merged them into one. This was the very reason she began social media activism in the first place. Through the Low Impact Movement, Immy has been able to truly engage with likeminded people and build a community that cares about one another. This is the most fulfilling job I have ever had, and no doubt will ever have.
