In this Inbetweenisode titled 'End of Year Wrap Up and My Personal Charter Encore,' Stacey Richter extends heartfelt thanks to listeners and healthcare workers for their dedication. She reflects on the challenges of maintaining personal integrity in a profit-driven healthcare system and introduces her personal charter. This charter, focused on ensuring net positive outcomes for patients, acknowledges that achieving transformational change in healthcare requires a collective effort. Stacey discusses the complexities of balancing ethical decisions, financial constraints, and the broader impact on patient care, urging others to reflect on their own guiding principles. Here's her manifesto which she is now calling her Personal Charter below which she breaks down in this podcast episode: If the thing results in a net positive for patients, then I will do it. The timeframe is short-term or medium-term. And the assumption is that it will take a village and I am not alone in my efforts to transform healthcare or do right by patients. === LINKS ===

I cover Distruptive Change and the Disruptive Technology that makes this Change happen. These are things in history and in the future, and close to present day, that will change the way entire industries and businesses are done or operate. Its a fabolous look at what has changed, why it did, what it did, how the world was different and what is changing next and why. I not only cover Disruptive Tech and Disruptive Change but Disruptive People. These are the people that bring Disruptive and New and Exciting Ideas that no one has heard of, thought of, into a coroproation or business, or the world, and how you shoud 'herd these cats.' for they are unique people and are generally passified in a company or thrown out, or they move on, and the company continues onward towads asemtopic stagnation and then decline and crash and burn and I give many examples of companies that are dead and gone that did not change. Refused to change, refused to look forward and to not only embrase change but to usher it in and thus they suffered the fate of Evolve or Die, and they died. This is happening right now, and its probably happening to you. This episode is not only for those who are history or future buffs but for those who enjoy deep thinking.

Some offerings began with women's needs in mind but were expanded to be more equitable for all. One recent example began as the need to cross state lines for certain types of reproductive healthcare. Selected companies now give all employees the alternative of out-of-state travel when necessary to receive quality healthcare for their given condition.Incremental advances toward circularityMany presentations focused on improving sustainability from different angles. A few examples: The challenges of hybrid products. Specialty fibres including hemp and flax. Different methods for breaking down post-consumer products. Alternatives to dedicated collection sites for soiled articles. But whatever solutions the industry settles on will need to simultaneously address the three main challenges: price, performance, and practicality.Innovations in products for those who menstruate New products and innovations were introduced, including some designed for those who menstruate. One example cited tampons with helical grooves to more effectively spread out absorption and reduce leaks. Another presented Pads on a Roll™, which will allow menstrual products to be offered in bathrooms as easily as toilet paper. This will be of particular benefit to students in schools where providing menstrual health products is required.Outline of the Episode[1:10] About Hygienix 2022[2:07] ‘Blood, Sweat, Legislation and Regulation: The Impact on Business'[2:45] Michelle Walasavage: Challenges women face in the chemical industry[4:08] Rachel Braun Scherl: Upcoming needs and fundamental changes[16:18] ‘Next-Gen Menstrual Products and Their Users'[16:24] Frantisek Riha-Scott: ‘Reusable Products Using Nonwovens, A Complementary Product to Traditional AHPs'[20:22] Greta Meyer: ‘Breaking the Tampon Monopoly'[22:23] Danielle Keiser: ‘The Language of Period Products: Changing the Conversation with Our Customers'[26:00] ‘Going Forward: Industry M&A and Recent Investments and Innovations'[26:10] Len LaPorta: ‘Using Mergers and Acquisitions to Protect and Grow Your Business Value in a World of Disruptive Change'[27:09] ‘Sustainable and Improved AHP Inputs'[27:22] Jason Finnis: ‘Bast Fibre Use in Hygienic Applications: Opportunities and Challenges'[29:02] ‘HYGIENIX WORKSHOP: Global Trends in Diapers, Baby Pants and Adult Underwear'[29:34] Natalia Richer: Current Trends in the Industry[32:15] Carlos Richer: Future of the Diaper Industry[38:53] ‘HYGIENIX Innovation Award Presentations'[39:20] Daniella Gomez: Sposie® Dribbles® Potty Training Pads[40:09] Penelope Finnie: Pads on a Roll™What would you like to hear more about?Take our poll and tell us which speakers you would like us to feature in future episodes of ‘Attached to Hygiene'.ResourcesConnect with our guests:Rachel Braun Scherl, Managing Partner/Entrepreneur –SPARK Solutions for GrowthPenelope Finnie, CEO – Egal Pads, Inc.Jason Finnis, Executive Vice President & Chief Innovation Officer – Bast Fibre Technologies Inc.Daniella Gomez, Marketing Director – SposieDanielle Keiser, Managing Director, Impact – MadamiLen La Porta, Managing Director – The DAK GroupGreta Meyer, Co-Founder/CEO – SequelCarlos Richer, CEO/Director – Richer Investment S.A. Employees and teams need greater support through change to help them make sense of the impact. Jude Jennison specialises in non-verbal behavioural change. She has written extensively about the emotional responses to uncertainty, the hidden dynamics that occur in every team and how to maximise performance by balancing results and relationships. Jude Jennison is Founder of Leaders by Nature, a leadership and team development company, specialising in non-verbal communication. Jude works with a herd of horses to transform leadership and team behaviour. She is author of three leadership books, host of two leadership podcasts and an inspirational speaker. The opioid epidemic, a three-phased crisis thus far in the United States, has ravaged American communities both small and large. Ohio has been a major intersection for drug trafficking and is often cited as one of the worst-hit states in the nation. Initially fueled by predatory pharmaceutical marketing, this crisis was worsened by illicit laboratory production and the rise of black-market synthetic opioids like fentanyl. Opioid medications are effective and useful in the correct medical setting and with the correct precautions, but what can we do to prevent the great harm they continue to cause? In this episode we are joined by Dr. Jon Sprague, Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI) Eminent Scholar at Bowling Green State University and the Director of Science and Research for the Ohio Attorney General, as he discusses the background and current state of the opioid epidemic, as well as medical and community-based solutions for preventing opioid harm to communities.
Only 25% of health is in the control of the healthcare system. So why does our country continue to pump the majority of its health care spending into a deficit-based health care model that focuses solely on the science of doing something to the individual? And employer-driven reform is the key that will unlock aspirational healthcare for millions nationwide. Our guest this week is Darrell Moon, CEO of Orriant, a company that changes the dynamics of health care and gives employers control over the ever-increasing costs of the health care benefits they offer their employees. There is no question that we are living during a time in the world that is unlike any other. Brought on by the dawning of the information age, and especially the rise of the Internet and ever-increasing access to it and all the social media and other technologies it has hatched, it is no wonder that societies, cultures, religions, and we ourselves have been thrust into major growing pains--some of which are here ahead of our collective and individual maturity to manage easily as all of it has disrupted our previous comfort levels. Luckily, we have the records of previous major societal upheavals that we can gather lessons from them, with one of them being the good news of major shifts in consciousness that follow in the decades after. In this episode, Caleb Jones, an information engineer, joins LDF host Dan Wotherspoon to talk about many aspects of this time of flux. Caleb keys in on the "Second Great Awakening" that brought forth so much societal change, including the birthing of many religions such a Mormonism. He draws parallels from it and other "Awakenings" to help elucidate the present, especially regarding trends in Mormonism and individual Latter-day Saint lives. In all of this, he and Dan raise questions (and propose tentative thoughts) that can be important guides for our own soul work. May it serve you well in this way as you listen in!

In this week's Business Insights Vodcast Series, our host, Mr. Kim Winter explores helping you as a Supply Chain Leader make sense of what to focus on and how to cope with leading your business through disruptive change. He is joined by Mr. Andrew Pepar, Leadership Coaching Expert of The Reason & The Road, a coaching framework and set of tools to help scaling mid-sized digital businesses multiply their impact through increased focus and clarity, system leverage, and external and internal relationships. Together, they discuss how business leaders should respond strategically to the impacts that have been out of their direct control. The recent COVID-19 pandemic has pivoted many businesses. As such, they look at how leaders should be thinking about the future and galvanising their teams to respond during this time.
There are two ways to find opportunities. You can scan the want ads and hope someone will give you a job or you can take advantage of disruptive change in your area of interest, and position yourself to be valuable within that specific space. In the late 80's Design Engineers had to learn how to think differently. They were using drafting tables and thinking in 2D space and when the revolution in workstations happened, they had to start thinking in 3D space. The newer people had an advantage because they were trained in the 3D space. Later, the iPhone ushered in a whole new way of connecting with the internet and the folks that were able to think differently, were better able to take advantage of the new technology.Recently, in the world of Project Management, there is a movement away from traditional "waterfall" approaches to a concept called "Agile Project Management". Agile, like other disruptive changes, requires a new way of thinking. And just think of the opportunities that will emerge from the "Black Lives Matter" movement as the Global Economy pivots to respond to injustice in positive ways. Bottom line, look for disruptive changes in your areas of interest. Be open to a new way of thinking. Prepare yourself for the new approach and you will be able to capitalize on the change and truly take advantage of the new environment. Good luck.

The marketing profession has moved from art to science, with the use of new technologies powered by artificial intelligence (AI), with a level of personalization and real-time communication only dreamed of in the past. But, how does marketing change during a time of economic crisis? As opposed to using marketing to sell products, how can marketing be leveraged to help customers manage their finances and provide support during difficult times? Where speed, tone and clarity of communication is of utmost importance, how can financial institutions help consumers use channels they may be unfamiliar with and proactively provide financial solutions they may be unaware of? Today’s guest is Rohit Mahna, head of the financial services practice at Salesforce. He’s got an insider’s perspective on how financial institutions can use data and advanced analytics to meet consumer needs while building brand loyalty. We discuss how organizations can combine empathy with solution-based marketing, moving transactions to digital channels while remaining agile during turbulent times.
