We all should be doing it. If you are bigger…you will have to go on a diet to lose weight to live a better life.We see hunger as a problem that needs to be solved through extremes. I will become a different version of myself that is skinny = happy/betterThe diet will be worth it no matter the time or cost.Tools to thrive in life.Talking about our struggles. It takes away the power that the struggle has over us. There is nothing to be embarrassed about. Have the courage to ask for help!Acknowledge the thoughts that are keeping you stuck. When you feel gross/fat etc “I don't love how I am feeling right now-I wonder what is happening outside of my life that might factor in to why I am feeling this way?” DO NOT IGNORE THE THOUGHTS .Be open to the statement, "YOU DON'T HAVE TO LIVE LIKE THIS" ie Diet Culture's definition of beautiful, happy, strong, etcThe food isn't actually the problem-it's the thoughts about food.Look at picture of younger self and talk to that inner child kindly!Practice BODY NEUTRALITY. Practice food neutrality-Instead of food is good or bad.Body & food neutrality is NOT glorifying obesity Don't assume that thin people are happy “thin-ness does not = happiness”What we REALLY want is to feel pretty, to be seen, to being valued AND YOU CAN FEEL THOSE THINGS IN EVERY BODY TYPE.Be ok with leaning into discomfort, so you do not miss out on life experiences.Take time to ask yourself "Why am I feeling ugly, etc? What is happening in my life right now that might be the real culprit?" Life is so much easier when you free up all the brain space and the energy you used to worry about all those things. It is HARD TO BELIEVE IT IS TRUE…give yourself grace as you practice. “I don't like how my stomach looks and I am still funny, loving, Ella.” My body is the least interesting thing about me. We don't need to bond over "hating ourselves" comments Set boundaries in your life so you don't surround yourself with triggering circumstances and people Don't wait “till things get bad” to get help. Alex is a phenomenal coach and a pioneer in this space, he's an advocate for progressing and evolving the current state of development and basketball coaching as well as the overall approach to things like: performance training, front office work, athletic training, etcThe traditional/dominant approach is outdated, and as Alex mentions in the episode - you wouldn't expect your doctor to be using methods/medicine from 2000 or early because that would be malpractice, why do we continue to accept this as the status quo and not demand for this field to be as updated and progressive as possible. The most recent and relevant research/information should be applied to coaching as much as possibleAlex and I talk about a bunch of great stuff in this episode and he's always a treat to talk to and have the pleasure of having on the podcast, please make sure to check out all his stuff linked below:Website - https://transformingbball.com/subscribe/Podcast - https://education.transformingbball.com/podcasts/the-transforming-basketball-podcastIG - https://www.instagram.com/transformingbasketball/

Check out our website to learn more www.colossusfitness.comIn today's episode we debunk seven fitness and nutrition myths you may very well believe. Listed points:1- Women/men should be training entirely differentPutting this one first cause it's quite interesting. So many think women should be doing higher reps, minimal upper body etcThe main differences won't be the exercises, but the overall frequency. Ex- some women 3 leg days, less chest volume, etcSome men more chest work, 1-2 leg daysBut it shouldn't be a CRAZY difference like some people think2- Eating after 7/8/9pm time causes weight gain. It's not the time of day that matters but the total calories consumed. If you eat more calories than you burn, you can gain weight regardless of when you eat.CHECK OUT OUR WEBSITE3- The more you sweat, the more you burn/the better the workout.Sweating is your body's way of cooling down. It doesn't necessarily correlate with the number of calories burned during a workout.4- Women will bulk up too much from liftingThis myth has discouraged many women from strength training. In reality, it's very challenging for women to bulk up like bodybuilders without specific training and nutrition programs. Strength training can help build lean muscle and improve overall fitness.5- Oatmeal/veggies/cereal/etc is horrible/going to kill you.6- Low-Fat diets are best for weight loss.Healthy fats are important for overall health, and low-fat diets are not necessarily the best approach for weight loss.7- Crunches/other ab exercises are the best way to get abs-Crunches can help strengthen your core, they are not the most effective exercise for achieving visible abs.A combination of a balanced diet, full-body strength training, and cardiovascular exercise is more effective. Thanks for listening! We genuinely appreciate every single one of you listening.➢Follow us on instagram @colossusfit➢Apply to get your Polished Physique: https://colossusfitness.com/Support the show

A common recommendation for better PCOS health is to stop eating dairy. Many PCOS “experts” recommend against consuming dairy products. But is it realistic, necessary, or even beneficial for most women with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome? In this episode, we will explore some of the most up-to-date research and practical real-life strategies when it comes to dairy and PCOS. Hit play to listen now. Dairy and PCOS Root Causes Perhaps you've heard that you should avoid dairy if you have PCOS. But is this true? And why? That is what we will be discussing in this episode. There are two main concerns regarding dairy First, the inflammatory effects of dairy and this is key, FOR SOME WOMEN. Not all women find dairy to be inflammatory Dairy can be broken down into various components that we will discuss in this episode. Which are potentially problematic, how to avoid them and how to know what works for you. Getting Enough Protein Personally, I have two issues with avoiding dairy. First, it is a good source of protein and it is hard enough to get enough protein in the day. Dairy protein is found in:CheeseYogurt Protein Powders Protein bars EtcThe plant-based alternatives don't provide as much protein and less of it is absorbed by the body. In this episode, we explore choosing good options for protein regardless of if dairy is a good fit for you so be sure to take special note of that section.Milk, Yogurt, Cheese, or Dairy Alternatives???Then we have all the dairy alternatives. Are they actually good nourishment or are they just alternatives for individuals who have sensitivities? Plus how to choose the best options. Listen to the full episode to make this decision for yourself, then check out the episode page for some brands and considerations I use when choosing what to buy.Creating a lifestyle not just a dietUltimately I always want to come back to the reminder that this is a lifestyle and whatever you choose that is right for you is unique to your body and what you want out of life The point of this conversation is to shed light on the information out there and the products that fit those recommendations. But at the end of the day feeling better in your body is the goal and only you can determine what is and isn't working. For this episode, I collected all the latest and up-to-date information in regard to dairy and PCOS. Listen now so you can decide what the best options will be for you as you create a lifestyle of PCOS health. So if you are ready to discover if dairy is or isn't a good option for your PCOS hormones go ahead and listen to this episode now. You can take the quiz to discover your root cause hereLet's continue the conversation on Instagram! Loss is not only hard, but it also requires a different level of mental and emotional strength. At times, we cling to the hope that time will somehow ease the pain until it fades away, only to find out years after, that it doesn't. It only becomes bearable maybe because you got stronger, but the level of pain and sadness of missing what or who you lost is still the same. Why of all the days and months of the year did I pick Thanksgiving day to talk about loss and grief? It's because on this very day, 7 years ago, I lost my mom, and I never really had the strength to talk about it like this, until today. So I'm speaking to you right now out of the experience and what I intend to give away from that experience is that pain, though it never gets easy, can feel differently. The liver has been named very appropriately - It lives you!Of course all vital organs are essential to keep you vital, but the liver has many, many central roles. Some of the 500+ liver functions include...immune functionblood clottingstorage of amino acidsstorage of glycogenbalancing of hormonesbile production (fat digestion)processing blood cells/clearance of bilirubinand of course DETOXIFICATIONSome say the liver detoxifies naturally so we don't need any specific "cleansing" strategies. This is true, BUT, only when the liver is provided to proper nutrients and resources! Put simply, the liver has its hands full. This is especially true in todays day and age when thousands of environmental toxins ubiquitous in food, air, and water accumulate to potential overburden the liver to create "sluggishness," "fatty liver," and potentially more serious liver inflammation and disease. We have two primary responsibilities to ensure a healthy functioning liver that is capable of keeping up with detoxification duties:1) Avoid undue burden of environmental toxins in food, air, and water2) Load up on liver-healing phytonutrients that promote natural detox pathwaysIn today's episode we cover the scientifically proven ways to strategically keep toxic load low and liver function high. Between 10-30% of the global population experiences allergic rhinitis, otherwise known as "hay fever," which is the most common presentation of environmental allergies.Honestly, I thought allergies were even more prevalent than this. The wide range is likely due to the fact that allergies tend to come and go, which can make them even more difficult to understand and get a handle on.Nevertheless, prescription and over-the-counter allergy medications, such as anti-histamines, are some of the most common pills to be swallowed in our world today. Even with such meds, it can be difficult to manage these symptoms... until now!No, no, no... there aren't any quick fixes to allergies. In fact, reversing allergies is a prime example of playing the long game to allow and encourage the immune system to find its innate balance. In a nutshell, the "allergens" that trigger an immune response aren't bad and we shouldn't have to fear or avoid them. The goal is to retrain and nourish the immune system to offer more resilience. We cover lots of science and strategies for managing and reversing allergy symptoms in today's episode. If you'd like to join these conversations live, be sure to Subscribe to the Alter Health YouTube Channel! https://www.youtube.com/alterhealthSome highlights from today's MM episode...Managing allergy symptoms (+ cold/URI) naturally with steam inhalation, netti pot, and alternating hot/cold compressThe allergy/anti-histamine herbs and nutrients like nettles, butterbur, eyebright, quercetin, Vit C, NACReducing the load of environmental triggers by removing shoes indoors, washing sheets regularly, dusting/vacuuming, HEPA air filter, etcThe importance of balancing Th1 and Th2 immune responses - resolving system inflammation, avoiding immunogenic foods, gut healing, exposure to bacteria/virusesUnderstanding the stress response and its role in the immune systemLinks to some more good stuff- Join Alter Health on Locals: https://alterhealth.locals.com/- Cleanse with Us during the next Alter Health Cleanse: https://www.alter.health/cleanse- Work with us in the Thrive on Plants program: https://www.alter.health/thrive-on-plants- ATTN Health Practitioners! To make the most of your life, I want to share with you a tool I use in my practice called the Space Time Intention method. Imagine the three words as a triangle, space links to time which links to intention which links to space etc etcThe method takes from Ayurveda and Yoga principles too, which makes it all the more interesting - especially for me because I coined the method before I came across a Chopra article supporting it. Love how these things can happen.Today's show is one from the heart. I'm hearing so many similar challenges that people are facing in their day to day lives, that I hope you can get some insight that will help you to make the most of your life too.Puja's WebsiteConnect on InstagramConnect on Linkedin

Many people feel that their heart, mind, and even bodies are held captive by threats of anxiety, fear, depression and loneliness. This series is about some common threats to mental health and well-being and how we can arm ourselves to fight for our freedom. Jesus approached those trapped in fear and hopelessness with compassion and empathy but also hope and the offer of freedom. Whether you are looking at just starting to invest or a long-term investor, you need to look at diversifying your portfolio. In today's episode, Steven takes us through the differences between single asset and funding investing and how real estate can be the investing strategy you have been looking for. Key Takeaways:With individual or single asset investing you get to choose exactly what you are investing in whether multifamily, storage, trailer parks, etcThe most important thing when you're choosing an individual asset is the sponsor that you're going to invest withThe downside of single asset investing is that you're going to take a lot more time watching and reviewing the investor presentation and dataFunding investing is going to spread your investment dollars across multiple assets, potentially even multiple different asset classesThe benefit of funding investing is that you do not need to go and review the details on every single investment but will receive an investment summaryWhat's great about either one of these is they create massive amounts of diversification and it's 100% hands-off for you

It is the content strategy problem we would all like to have. How do you create a story about a team that has won the league seven seasons in a row (and an eighth is expected to follow soon)? Johor Darul Ta'zim (or JDT) are a team on a mission. They were re-formed in 2013 with a new nickname, the Southern Tigers, under the guidance of the Crown Prince of Johor. They won their first title a year later and the AFC Cup (the Asian version of the Europa League) 12 months after that. They have gone on to dominate Malaysian football. But their tone on social media has brought them as much attention as their success. Now they are looking to internationalise their brand and grow their partnership portfolio with the likes of Aston Martin and Unicef. Vijhay Vick, the Head of Content, is leading their strategy. In this podcast, he discusses his approach to JDT's unique position.TOPICSThe recent history of JDTHow they have grown on social mediaCapitalising on the huge Indonesian marketBeing brazen about their successWhy they are "the most hated team in Malaysia"What would signing a world-renowned player like Radamel Falcao do for the league and the club?Having a partnership with the likes of Aston Martin The Malaysian League in general - crowds, TV audience, etcThe football audience is very split - some love foreign football, some love Malaysian football. View the products I mention at: www.AutoimmuneEducationAcademy.com There are TONS of supplements out there today, and they all have promising claims, but in my functional medicine practice I see people all the time who have been let down by supplements. Many of them bring bags of products in, and often they weren't a bad idea, it might even be some things that I like to use often, but they are still not feeling well because they haven't figured out the right dosage or combination for THEM. Then, when they begin to understand the mechanisms of their autoimmunity and the goal of their supplements, we can combine targeted protocols with appropriate lifestyle strategies to change systems - and their symptoms improve! In this podcast I go through a couple main categories of supplements that are important for autoimmunity specifically, and I spend the most time on anti-inflammatories and gut-healing supplements, because those impact most autoimmune people. I talk briefly about the mechanisms of inflammation, including NFkB (Nuclear Factor Kappa Beta), iNOS (inducible Nitric Oxide), and "resolution" with Specialized Pro-Resolving Mediators. Anti-inflammatory supplements mentioned include:- Turmeric- Resveratrol- Glutathione- Fish Oil (and SPMs)- Huperzine A, Gingko (Nitric Balance)- herbs, flavonoids, etcThe gut supplements I mention include:- Glutamine- Probiotics- Short-Chain Fatty Acids- Vitamins A & D I then touch briefly on some other things. There are tons of "others", but it begins to get so specific that I don't want anyone thinking they should try any of it. Often you have to kill infections, balance T cell polarization, remove toxins, improve digestion, support brain health, improve hormone function, and more, but I mention:- Th1/Th2 imbalance or other immune modulation- Influencing "pathogen clearance" or killing of infections- Influencing digestion - enzymes, stomach acid, bile stimulation, etc- Glandulars like adrenal or thyroid- Adaptogens like ashwaganda, Rhodiola, Holy Basil, etcThere are a ton that I didn't mention, so it's not all-inclusive, these are just some of my favorites. Some that I think I left out include:- Magnesium (duh)- Zinc- Potassium- I also didn't mention much about flavonoids, which I love, including quercetin and luteolinHope it's helpful! In this fascinating episode, Anni talks to the highly respected Leadership Expert, Author and TED Speaker, Steve Radcliffe about what it means to be a trusted partner to leaders. With over 20 years experience in helping senior leaders be their best, Steve is most known for his leadership development programme, Future – Engage – Deliver (FED), which was founded and is now practiced by colleagues of Steve Radcliffe Associates. Steve is also author of the top leadership book in the UK, Leadership Plain and Simple.Steve talks to Anni about a deep-rooted willingness to help other people, which he says “manifested itself in different ways, in different times” throughout his life. He reveals how a chance dinner party with a friend led him on his own leadership journey, walking away from the corporate world and to eventually define his purpose: “to be a trusted partner to people trying to make a bigger difference in the world”.Throughout the episode, Steve touches on:Personal influencers like his father, who as a teacher was a source of early inspiration for guiding and helping othersHow to connect to what you care about and the energy that drives you to want to make a difference Creating safety and security within team environments Why education is key to recognising your limits and going beyond themStriving for an inclusive approach to helping all people to make a difference in the world, regardless of job titles, positions or background etcThe reward of developing leaders who are then better equipped to help others also The importance of family and friends, and establishing life-long friendshipsWherever you are in your own leadership journey, Steve offers a three-pronged approach to developing your potential: Connect to what you really care aboutCreate relationships that embrace open feedback Establish a support team and 'do not travel alone' On the last point, he explains: “If you want to make that bigger difference, you have to have a support team. And there are two reasons. One is that you will fall off the bike at times and others can help you get back on the bike by listening to you, by creating a safe space, giving you that encouragement and that bit of acknowledgment.“The second way that can be very powerful is at the heart of bringing other people with us to make a bigger difference in our impact on others. And this is something I've realised we cannot work out for ourselves.” More informationBoth Anni and Steve share a passion for helping individuals and teams to be at their confident best. Dealing with Goliath: Psychological Edge for Business Leaders
Peter Sandeen focuses on the fundamentals that make marketing consistently effective. Over half his clients are other marketing experts who want his help with marketing messaging, sales funnels and conversion optimization. He's known for being focused, straightforward and practical. Many experts have adopted his processes and frameworks to simplify the most complex marketing topics. Thought of by many, as the marketers marketer, Danny Iny said, "Peter helped me increase my sales 423%", quite remarkable, as he's a renowned expert in his own right.Peter regularly writes not just on how you can influence the decisions of others, but how people make those very decisions. So it doesn't focus so much on tools, tactics and strategies, but more so what makes those strategies effective. On a personal note, I've known Peter for a number of years now and he's been a huge help and a huge resource to me. I can say first hand, very much that I know few people, few business brains that are quite as incisive, that can give such stark clarity as quickly as Peter. So I recommend him if you have marketing or business issues, typically business strategy, or sales conversions. But if you need clarity, this guy can cut through all the confusion, all the noise, all the multiple different perspectives faster than I think maybe anyone else that I know.Topics explored:Question to ask of experts in any domain: What three key things to focus on?It's simple and other people add complexityThe target, the offer and the messagingIf you miss the bullseye it's exceptionally difficultImproved guarantee increased sales 10x & avoid guarantee blindnessOver 90% AB tests are useless: Test the things that change potential client perspectiveThe primary problem: that you are you, and not your customerGreat sources for getting more genuine, valuable feedbackWhat's going on, when they tell you your price is too highParental belief that marketing is evil and marketing by accidentEarly copywriting courses and influencesPeter's approach to negotiation, making deals or business arrangementsStill selling to humans in business to business sales"If you can't negotiate your way out of it so everyone's happy at the end, then something was wrong from the beginning"If your messaging is terrible you can't compensate for that by being brilliant at tactics eg Facebook ads, blogging etcThe essential nature of 'linchpin skills', so obvious they're often bypassedResources: The 3 Mistakes that Marketing Professionals Recommend, [Free], and lots more at www.petersandeen.comIf you enjoyed this episode of Dealing with Goliath Podcast, hit subscribe to hear about our latest episodes. In this episode Dan discusses the need for students to not only get critical feedback, but to also be given the time to action the feedback and revise their work.Critical Feedback and Revision is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International License.Join the Facebook CommunityVideo showhttps://youtu.be/lFLn0FTkrJ8Show notesHi everyone. Welcome again to another episode of the Effective Teaching podcast, where I provide you with actionable strategies that you can apply to your teaching and learning to enhance student learning and transform them into lifelong learners. I'm Dan Jackson and this week I want to discuss Critical Feedback and RevisionSomething we do not do often enough with our students is allow time for them to get feedback and revise their work, especially for assessment tasks. We think we do by saying submit a draft 1 week before and I will give you feedback… but the reality is that less than 10% of your students probably take you up on this, unless you are from a selective school or only teach extension classes. Regardless, I can guarantee it is not 100% of your class. In my recent study of PBL and creating my own PBL units I love what they do to provide students with feedback that they should action and it is all tied up with public audiences. Or at least one beyond you.Often there are 2 or 3 rounds of feedback and revision in PBL because it follows more of the design process where revision occurs multiple times until the prototype is ready to become an actual product. So for the classroom what this means is that the feedback comes from multiple sources:Another class or group of students could provide feedback using criteria or maybe by answering questions asked by the student who is looking for feedback.Have a mentor (teacher, adult, expert etc) provide feedback using criteria or maybe by answering questions asked by the student who is looking for feedback.Feedback from a wider audience. Maybe a test group if what is being produced can be tested, or from a variety of people NOT the teacher.Throughout this whole process the teacher also has the chance to provide feedback multiple times, but the teacher is not the focus for whom the product is being produced. For example, You could have students write an essay on a specific novel and then share this essay with 3 students from another class who provide feedback answering questions such as:What did you learn from the essay? Was there something you wondered because of the essay? Were there any sections that were difficult to understand? EtcThe student could then revise the essay and publish it on the web or share it into a group on SM where people are familiar with the novel and can provide further insights such as:What perspective did this essay not consider? Is there evidence you know of that would further strengthen or perhaps be used to argue against this essay? EtcIf you set dates for these types of public feedback sessions, students tend to get the “draft” ready by then because otherwise it is embarrassing for them. There is a sense of pride and the removal of a place to hide. But there is also a sense that what they are creating is not just for them and they can begin to see some of the other applications of their product.Whenever you are doing feedback like this having some sort of criteria for the feedback or pre arranged questions to get feedback on can really improve the results of the feedback and the student's willingness to then revise the product. To help with this I want to refer to a book I have been reading called The New 1-minute Manager. Now there are 3 aspects to the one minute manager each of which takes 1 minute. One of these is called a 1 minute redirect. A 1 minute redirect basically is when the “manager” and in our case this is anyone providing feedback, and I like this approach as a teacher.First they need to mention what they can observe about the product and rel..
Too many of us have been bombarded everyday for the past few weeks nothing but bads news. How many people will die, how many people have lost their jobs, how many businesses have gone bankrupt etc etcThe energy has been so pessimistic that the few that are tough enough to stay optimistic will be coming out of this quarantine as winners. You really have to DARE to be a winner right now. It's easy to be positive and energetic during a Bull market. but when the economy hits the fan its when all of this matters.
What up BANGERS!It is Meatless Monday when I recorded this so as a family we ate a vegetarian dinner.I was Vegan for 6 months to experiment what the vegan diet could help with cholesterol, testosterone, minerals levels etcThe results were positive, I was not deficient in anything at all and I was healthy.I try to eat plant based 1-2 times a week to give my body a break from meat.I hope you enjoy this episode!

In this episode we go deep on the science of personality. We look at how we’ve moved way beyond the debate of nature vs nurture, we look at the “Myth of Authenticity" and the danger of “just being yourself,” we examine why human wellbeing (aka success) depends on the sustainable pursuit of core projects in our lives, explore the complex dance of self improvement between the limitation of biological, social factors and the identity of individuals, and look at how much agency and control we really have in shaping our personalities and lives among all of these different factors with our guest Dr. Brian Little. What is Trait Psychology?Traits do have predictive validity“The Big Five” personality model is the most dominant perspective in personality trait psychologyOCEANOpenness to experienceConscientiousnessExtraversionAgreeablenessNeuroticism Honesty / humility is a sixth factor that may not be included in the “Big Five” modelThese personality traits have consequential predictive ability for your life outcomes, happiness, marriage, success, divorce, etcThe trait of conscientiousness is a very good predictor of work place success but also predicts health outcomes, why is that?Disagreeable people also have a health risk factor - low agreeableness shows an increased risk for heart diseaseOpenness-to-experience and conscietouness have different paths to success - but both can be successful predictors of positive life outcomesThe myth of the creative hero. The creative project is much more important than the illusion of the solo creative. How changeable or immutable are our personality traits? Are we stuck with the personality we are born with?Your trait expressions can be shaped not just by your biology but also by the things that really matter to you - by your own “personal projects”If you constantly act out of character - you may eventually run the risk of burning outThe study of our traits gets us INTO the study of personality but not ALL THE WAY inWe’ve moved WAY beyond the nature vs nurture debate Genetic expression is a matter of external influence than shapes the expression of genesThere is a biological “base” to our personality - but it’s a base that we can either act against or act in accordance with itSelf improvement is a dance between biological, social, and individual factors Traits are a necessary way of understanding personality but they are not sufficient We explore "The Bodnarian Aspects of Matt"We are not just pawns - we can shape things and change the trajectory of our lives (within reasonable boundaries)“Go for it” feels good - but its often a cheap way out - take a harder look and really look at the best path forward for yourself Accepting and facing reality as it is - including your own limitations and weaknesses - is an essential component of successHuman wellbeing (“success”) depends on the sustainable pursuit of core projects in our lives. Natural dispositions that we don’t borrow from our cultural scripts are the first line of influence that help shape what becomes the core projects in our livesOut of the stew emerge biological shaped, but also socially influenced possible futures for yourself that are anchored in core projects The sustainable pursuit of core projects is vital - the way in which we get them isHomework: If you want to play outside your personality comfort zone, start with small uncomfortable changes and gradually build into more and more difficult situations Homework: Conduct short term experiments, self change experiments, “fixed role explorations” and then monitor the impact that has on your personality and behavior Learn more about your ad choices. Driving TestHow long ago was it since you took your driving test? Did you pass first time? Was it difficult?I took mine a thousand years ago and exams have changed but not so much after so much time. The exam still has two parts, a theory test and a practical part. The theory part will change next October, at least 50% of the questions will be about safe driving and the mechanical part will be less important. There will be questions about the consequences of driving under the influence of alcohol, the cost of traffic accidents, etcThe practical part, obviously, consists mostly of driving. The examiner or examiners sit at the back and give instructions to the “nervous” driver who must signal at the right time, make sure he is in the correct line, stick to the speed limit park and not make any serious or dangerous driving errors. It’s very difficult to remain calm, to control the car, listen carefully and answer the questions the examiner asks you and this torture, that now takes half an hour, will last 50 minutes in the future.I remember my driving exam as a nightmare, I was afraid of everything, I was afraid of driving in the wrong direction, to mount the kerb, afraid of not being able to park the car, but at the end it’s not so difficult as you imagined but when you are 18 and have no experience at all you have the feeling that it’s going to be nearly impossible getting your driving license the first time you try it...
¿Cuantos años vas a vivir? How long will you live?Experts say that everybody has the biological capacity to live until they are 100, but wether we make the century depends not only on how we treat our bodies but how we live, how we love, how we eat, what kind of job we do, etcThe average lifespan in Spain is 74 for men and 80 for women.I want to show you a set of questions that an insurance company has deviced to fix the life expentance of its clients.Start with the figure 72 and..If you are a male subtract 3 points, if you are a woman, add 4 pointsIf you live in an urban area with a population over half a million, subtrat 2, if you live in a town of under 10,000 add 2.If your prandparents lived more than 80, add 2 and if they died before being 50, subtract 5.I you live with somebody, add 5 points, if not, subtract 1 for every ten years alone since 25.If you work in an office and somewhere similar to one, subtract 3 and if your work requires physical labour add 3Are you aggressive? Subtract 3. Are you relaxed? add 3Do you smoke? subtract 8 points if you smoke two packets a day and 6 if you smoke one packet. Do you usually frink alcohol? If you drink a glass of wine, a beer or a whisky a day, add 1 but if you are a heavy drinker, subtract 3.If you are a bit fat, subtract 2, if you are overweight, subtract 5 and if you like vegetables and fruit and you always stop eating before being completely full, add 1 and to finish we have to adjust the age:If you are between 30 and 40 add 2, if you are between 40 and 50 add 3 , if you are between 50 and 60 add4 and if you are more than 70 add 5.How long will you live? I will live until 91, it’s not bad!
