Brendan Ozawa-de Silva will share the multifaceted concept of empathy, highlighting its various definitions in scientific literature. He expresses that most definitions of empathy overlook a crucial component: embodied joint action with others. From evolutionary and developmental perspectives, joint action emerges as pivotal to the function of empathy. Our nervous systems are inherently wired to resonate with one another, enabling us to synchronize our bodies by observing the intentions and movements of others. This synchronization encompasses both cognitive and affective dimensions. By exploring empathy through the lenses of shared intentionality, joint action, and movement, we broaden our comprehension beyond cognition and affect to encompass the embodied interaction of nervous systems. Such an understanding may illuminate pathways for cultivating compassion and bolstering mutual resilience.

Richard Eagleton is a musician and spiritual seeker who met Jaymee's parents in the 1970's, eventually joining their band in Los Angeles in 1976, the year Jaymee was born. Born in Beirut, Lebanon to an American Diplomat in the 1950's, Richard had a rich multicultural experience throughout his youth, setting the stage nicely for the spiritual exploration and psychedelic ingestion that arrived in the late 1960's. After studying various spiritual paths and receiving teachings from notable teachers such as Muktananda and Neem Karoli Baba, Richard eventually had a chance meeting with one of the great Tibetan Buddhist masters of the 20th century, Namkhai Norbu Rinpoche, and instantly became a lifelong student and collaborator.  Richard took interest in becoming a documentary filmmaker, and one of his first projects was documenting John Cleese meeting His Holiness The Dalai Lama at his monastery in Dharmsala. He also had the honor of being hired to document a rare meeting between The Prince Of Ethiopia and Rita Marley at her home in Jamaica, and shares wisdom he learned from encounters with Jamaican shamans on that trip and (truly) so much more.  This conversation was the first ever between Jaymee and Richard, who hadn't seen Jaymee since he was a newborn in 1976. In the first 5 minutes of their reuniting, it became obvious that the two were old friends who had simply never met, who now had a ton to catch up on. Jaymee fired up the Rodecaster Pro and had mics up in minutes, so you'll have the opportunity to enjoy one of Jaymee's favorite conversations on the podcast to date. She describes how doshas (mind body spirit compositions) can indicate the types of illnesses or disorders you might be susceptible to.  She identifies the 3 doshas – Vata Dosha, Pitta Dosha and Kapha Dosha – and gives examples of what they might signify for health. The first step in working with a client is to diagnose their doshas. From  there she will work to bring the most out of balance dosha into balance. To do this, she questions her clients about diet, sleep, stress, what brings them joy and how often they engage in those things. She also asks them why they want to get better. She has discovered there is always an element of forgiveness and compassion in the healing process. And tempered with, you know, important fundamental human values that we share. And if we broadly mean this by the word contemplative, then clearly, this is something that needs to be, you know, brought into any education system across the world. Because, even though you may speak different languages, may live in different parts of the world. But when it comes to fundamental human reality, we are all sharing this one small planet, which is now facing existential threat from climate crisis, as well as, you know, the pressures of globalization, putting on all of us to really find a way to live where peaceful coexistence based on mutual respect and understanding becomes an important part of our challenge, important part of the requirement, if we want to save the world, you know. As a descendant of the Last Samurai her creative aesthetics is strongly influenced by the philosophy of Bushido and Buddhism. Known for her distinctive style with vivid colors on black surface, Rima's works are extracted from her dreams and meditation process. They are ethereal and evoke a timeless sense of longing and peace, and yet if examined deeply her images trigger a powerful ripple of infinite emotions. She is inspired by “Nibiiro,” an expression of a very dark grey color from the Heian period in Japan (AD 794 to1185). Meet Mary Morrissey Mary Morrissey has made it her mission to empower people to create and live a life they love. For over 50 years, Mary has studied the art and science of transforming dreams into results. Mary is the founder of the Brave Thinking Institute, the world's premier provider of transformational training and coaching. Through life-changing books, events, and programs, Mary has helped millions of people tap into the power within them to achieve new levels of success and experience a deeper sense of meaning and purpose. Mary holds a Master's Degree in Counseling Psychology and an honorary Doctorate in Humane Letters. She has addressed the United Nations three times, co-convened three-week-long meetings with His Holiness The Dalai Lama, and met with President Nelson Mandela in South Africa. She has written two best-selling books, No Less Than Greatness and Building Your Field of Dreams, which became a PBS special. In October 2022, Mary Morrissey will release her newest book, Brave Thinking: Unlocking the Hidden Code for Overcoming Life's Challenges and Achieving Your Greatest Dreams. Today, Mary is focused on a bold dream: 1 Billion Dreams Achieved around the world. She is with us today because the dream begins with YOU! Mary is gifting a free guided meditation that will unlock the energy of the universe that lives inside of you –gently guiding you, deliberately building your dreams from a place of ease and bliss. The mediation is a $16 value. Go to: BTI.com/youest  Your Dreams Count Mary's origin story will blow you away. I don't want to give it all away, but it's clear that she walks her walk and has lived the results of what she teaches. Before getting into the personal development field, Mary started as a non-denominational minister. I loved hearing how Mary has used the principles of what she's been teaching for 50 years to improve her own life, and that of thousands across the globe. Everything we discussed was about how to upgrade and change your beliefs to match building your dreams-all the ones that live inside of you. Mary has led hundreds of events and programs to help others actualize their dream. Her words of encouragement are worth tuning into if you hold the desire of building your dream. She said, "The real gift of having a dream is not just realizing it, but that who you become in the process."  Change the Channel Mary Morrissey shared that if you don't love the results in your life, just like changing a channel on your TV, you need to change the frequency of your thoughts and vibration. We are all made up of a sea of energy. Here are a few ways to do this: Look at your current life and ask yourself, 'What am I in love with now?' Notice this and reverse engineer what you love to make room to add more of this elsewhere. Speak in the name of love. Life is an ever-seeking energy expressed through us. Connect to the energy of love through your words and speaking. You can be, do or have anything. You just have to get in harmony with it. If you are in a state of self-loathing, look at it as a wiring problem and notice what you're noticing. You are not your thoughts Care more about helping people and be willing to do things afraid.  Three Powerful Words to Change Your Subconscious  We also discussed the three most powerful words you can say to yourself regarding changing the frequency of your thoughts and overcoming limiting beliefs and stories as they relate to your past and keeping you stuck. When you find yourself saying something like, "I've never been able to change that habit", for example, try adding these three words afterward: up until now. This will help give your subconscious a new command when up against those lingering negative beliefs. Final Thoughts Mary Morrissey reminds us that building your dream is entirely possible when you put your mind to it. You first need to change the frequency of your thoughts to overcome the beliefs and stories that hold you back. DR. IAN BAKER is a Tibetan scholar, yogi, explorer and author with more than 40 years experience studying and teaching Tibetan Buddhism. He is an international fellow of the Explorers Club and was honored by National Geographic Society as one of six ‘Explorers for the Millennium' for his ethnographic and geographical field research in Tibet's Tsangpo gorge and his team's discovery of a waterfall that had been the source of myth and geographic speculation for more than a century. Ian is the author of seven critically acclaimed books on Himalayan and Tibetan cultural history, environment, art, and medicine including The Heart of the World: A Journey to the Last Secret Place, The Tibetan of Art of Healing, and The Dalai Lama's Secret Temple, a collaborative work with His Holiness The Dalai Lama that illuminates Tantric Buddhist meditation practices. Ian's latest book, Tibetan Yoga: Secrets from the Source. Ian has also written for National Geographic Magazine and has contributed to academic journals in the fields of Tibetan yoga in Vajrayāna Buddhism. Ian also leads pilgrimages to sacred sites in India, Tibet, and Bhutan. In this episode of the Wisdom Keeper podcast Ian and Miles trace his own Hero's journey from his childhood expeditions in mountaineering, to his first pilgrimage to Nepal at 19 where he met some of the most celebrated Tibetan masters of the last century, to his first experience of awakening, kensho, during meditative retreat, and to his pioneering efforts to practice the Tibetan yogas under the advise of His Holiness the Dalia Lama in solitary retreat in a secret cave. The conversation cuts to the heart of dzongchen, where we dance between illusion, the self-imposed limits of mind, and the boundless luminosity of our own true nature. This is one pilgrimage you won't want to miss. In this episode Dr. Ian Baker and Miles discuss: ・His childhood interest in adventure and mountaineering which helped him learn to push beyond self-imposed mental limitations and would later inform his yogic practices. ・His college junior year abroad that took him to Kathmandu and changed the course of his life when he meet some of the greatest Tibetan masters of this century. ・Ian discusses his first break through meditative experience into the nature of mind during a college retreat and its residual impact on the course of his life. ・He describes his return to Nepal for intensive meditation retreat in a High Himalayan cave practicing the advices given to him personally by the Dalai Lama.  ・We frame Ian life as one that converges the outer, inner, and secret forms of pilgrimage.  ・Ian discusses the union of wisdom and bliss found within the nervous system and accessed through Tibetan Yogas.  ・We discuss the intersection between psychedelics Greek and Tibet mysticism, including a new research project of his exploring the use of soma in a very secret Tara cult in India. ・Finally we reflect on what it means “to go back in order to go forward.” The Wisdom Keeper Podcast is available on: APPLE PODCASTS GOOGLE PODCASTS SPOTIFY CONTEMPLATIVE STUDIES PROGRAM Courses, Community and Buddhist Pilgrimage https://www.gradualpath.com/ 25% off all courses with coupon code WISDOMKEEPER More about Dr. Miles Neale on his website https://www.milesneale.com/ Follow Miles Neale on Instagram https://www.instagram.com/milesneale/

Nizan Mosery Wisdom of the Ages in Construction, Asset Management, Property Management, and Commercial Brokerage Today's guest brings us wisdom from a depth of experience in construction, asset management, property management, commercial real estate brokerage, property management, syndication, and advanced creative financing.  Beyond his wide breadth of experience in real estate investing, he is a world traveler who has spent time with foreign dignitaries, including His Holiness The Dalai Lama.   Our guest today, Nizan Mosery, appeared twice on Creek Side Chats with Successful Real Estate Investors.  I am thrilled and honored that he agreed to be with us once again to participate in the launch of Real Estate Investing Abundance.  Nizan owns properties across the nation and internationally and regularly shares his vast wealth of accumulated investment wisdom through teaching and mentoring.  Main Points: This time last year, almost everyone in the industry was predicting a retraction in the multifamily sector.  There was an expectation that sale prices would decline and cap rates would rise.  But, just the opposite has occurred. Given that, where do you see the current state of affairs to be in the multifamily sector? I see some well-respected and experienced investors turning away from multifamily because they feel the sector is overinflated and viable deals are just not there in this market?  What do you say to that? Some investors are turning to the motel/hotel sector. A sector hit hard this past year.  The thinking is that crisis leads to opportunity.  Warren Buffet is known for buying when everyone else is selling and vise-a-versa.  What is your advice to those considering investing in the motel/hotel sector? Others turning from multifamily apartments are looking to mobile home parks as an alternative investment.  What advice do you have for those considering mobile home parks as an investment option? Where do you see the economy moving over the next year and the next two years? Where are you looking for investment opportunities these days? This episode is Open Loops' most important discussion on recovering from Covid-19 so far...  To vax or not to vax?  That is the question.  But as former Hamlet-playing Shakespearean actor turned Clinical Researcher turned Metaphysician Dr. Kim Jobst will tell you: It's the wrong question.  What's really going on with pandemics, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, COVID, depression, dementia?  What if we had the vaccine with us already?  And what if the true red pill, if you took it, could lead to a global awakening?  This ain't some conspiracy theory episode.  This may just be the most qualified professional Greg has had a chance to interview yet.  And what a privilege it was:  Dr. Kim A. Jobst DM. FRCP. MFHom. is an Integrative Health Specialist and Metaphysician with over 35 years of experience. With specialist certification in General Internal Medicine and Neurodegenerative Diseases and Dementia, qualifications in Homoeopathic Medicine, Traditional Chinese acupuncture, Jungian Analytical Psychology and the Demartini Method™, he has travelled the world to deepen his understanding of Science and Healing, leading to his being elected a Fellow of The Royal College of Physicians of London, and becoming a member of the Royal Society of Medicine. Dr. Jobst’s work has focused on developing The Science of Meaning about which he was asked to speak by His Holiness The Dalai Lama, and as a result of which he proposed that “Disease is a Manifestation of Health” and that all diseases are “Diseases of Meaning”. This perspective goes way beyond the field of medicine to include current challenges to our environment, politics, education, industry and social systems globally. At the core of this work lives the inescapable truth that Meaning and Purpose, as expressions of consciousness, govern not only human physiology and perception, but the manifestation of all life, making them the primary cause in human health and wellbeing. It was for this work that Dr. Jobst was awarded a Lifetime Achievement Award by The Soukya Foundation in India, presented to him by Nobel Laureate Archbishop Desmond Tutu in 2013. It is the cornerstone to his consulting and development work with individuals and groups all over the world. She inspires women to dig deep into their souls to find out who they really are, construct the life of their dreams, and to stand fully in their power. Her rise began after losing her son during childbirth, getting divorced, and finding herself with $47 dollars to her name. It was then that she decided to stop being a victim and rewrite her story. Achieving anything worthwhile is difficult, especially when you decide to do it alone. Human beings are tribal creatures, and most of us can benefit from some form of structure and community to turn our biggest dreams into reality. In today’s special episode (Part 1 of 2), my Chief Miracle Worker and guest-host, Chip Franks, is talking with our friend, Akshay Nanavati, about the game-changing power of having an “accountability buddy” — someone who challenges you to move beyond your comfort zone, provides you with the extra support you need, and helps you to grow and improve in order to achieve your goals.  Akshay is the author of FEARVANA: The Revolutionary Science of How To Turn Fear into Health, Wealth, and Happiness, where he explores how to transform potentially negative feelings into incredible strengths, and has been recommended by Seth Godin, Cal Newport, and even His Holiness The Dalai Lama. Today, Chip and Akshay talk about the benefits of having an accountability buddy, why you need one as a high achiever / entrepreneur, and who that person should and shouldn’t be. You’ll also learn what it takes to initiate and build this type of relationship.   Get The Full Show Notes To get full access to today's show notes, including audio, transcript, and links to all the resources mentioned, visit HalElrod.com/300   Subscribe, Rate & Review I would love if you could subscribe to the podcast and leave an honest rating & review. Don't miss Ricardo's tranquil and healing live flute playing within the podcast.Born in Mexico, Ricardo Cervantes Cervantes, grew up studying the traditional ways of his people, the Toltec community of Teotihuacan. Although the Aztec empire conquered the Toltec in the ages past, the people of his community had continued to preserve their traditions and knowledge for centuries underneath the Aztec, Spanish and Mexican governments by selecting trusted individuals who would, in turn, dedicate their lives to the preservation of their culture and their sacred ways. Ricardo, whose Toltec name is, Thanuizcalpantecotti, is one of the community leaders who currently bare this sacred responsibility.Known affectionately as “Gorilla” among his people, Ricardo has fostered good relationships with the Mexican Government, being awarded by the Governor of The State of Mexico for his endless efforts towards cultural preservation, and recently being endorsed by the Mexican Consulate General, Enrique Hubbard Urrea, for serving as the only indigenous spiritual leader from Latin America invited to be an ambassador at the “Seeds of Compassion Conference” where he was one of the few to exchange blessing ceremonies with His Holiness The Dalai Lama in Seattle, Washington. The Mayor of Puebla also selected Ricardo to be one of a handful of Native Americans to receive a pot made from the combined clay from across the North, Central, and South American shores signifying the leadership role Ricardo has served in for the past several years. This is a podcast not to be missed!

NOTE: Please note, this episode contains adult themes, including talk of gun related violence, murder and suicidal thoughts. If you’re struggling with mental health issues, support is available 24/7 through the Suicide Prevention Hotline, 1-800-273-8255 and more resources are listed below.   When I dreamed up this podcast, the goal was to have conversations with everyday people that are impacting the world against all odds. Today’s guest is exactly the kind of conversation I was envisioning. Azim Khamisa did something so difficult that most of us have trouble doing. He forgave the 14-year-old person that murdered his son in a senseless gang-related incident. He chose compassion and forgiveness rather than revenge, and he’s made it his life’s work to walk others through a similar path. I think that our conversation is going to shake your soul. I knew he was special the moment we connected. I sensed in him a deep inner peace. Azim Khamisa shared with me how he has lived his life after the loss of his son and is not only inspirational, but impactful for our evolution as human beings. He has showcased that forgiveness is possible, even if it’s your son that has been murdered. Azim is one of the kindest and most humble human beings I’ve ever met. One of the favorite moments was when he shared the quote below which felt like BIG Truth and gave me chills.   “We humans have many defining moments. Sometimes they are joyous and sometimes they are devastatingly tragic. At these defining moments, if we can make the right choice, we literally manifest a miracle in ourselves and others.” ~ Azim Khamisa   We speak about the idea that grief can be medicine and how his spiritual practice supported him to find peace after how he describes his loss, a nuclear bomb went off in his heart. He also shared some of the words of wisdom that His Holiness The Dalai Lama shared with him about the law of attraction and making sense of loss. More About Azim Khamisa Following the murder of his son in 1995, Azim Khamisa founded the Tariq Khamisa Foundation, which started a subsequent forgiveness movement that has reached millions. He has received over 60 local, national and international awards. In 2002, he received Search for Common Ground’s prestigious award alongside Desmond Tutu and Ted Koppel In 2004, he participated in the Synthesis Dialogues with His Holiness the Dalai Lama which was hosted by Pope John Paul II at his summer palace in Castelgandolfo, Italy and in 2006 he was given the "Spirit of Crazy Horse Award" from the Reclaiming Youth Network alongside Mohammad Ali. In addition, Azim has been the recipient of the California Peace Prize in 2003 and the Pepsi Freedom Heroes Award in 2006. With a strong passion to share his message with the youth and to inspire nonviolent leaders proactive as peacebuilders, Azim has given over 1,000 presentations to over a million students worldwide. He is the author of four books including, award-winning From Murder to Forgiveness (being made into  a feature film). In November 2018, Azim spoke for the TEDWomen conference that has been viewed by over 1 million viewers. To learn more about Azim you can visit his website and also follow him on Twitter and Facebook. In This Episode We Talk About Azim’s meditation practice and how it amplified after the loss of his son How Azim found his spiritual practice saved him during the biggest crisis of his life Connecting with his soul purpose The idea that in life we get problems our intellect and heart will not be able to solve, but that there are no problems you are going to get in your life that your spirit cannot solve or heal. The moment that Azim found out his son has been murdered and how he quickly came to see that, “There are victims at both ends of the gun.” How he went from being an investment banker to author, speaker, and activist on forgiveness and peace How Azim sees the opportunity within defining moments, both joyous and tragic The idea that grief can be medicine and we must give ourselves time and space to grieve The importance of being of service to find happiness Azim shares his experience during meditation and the wisdom in consciousness and how you connect to consciousness The moment when Azim met the young man that murdered his son Words of wisdom that His Holiness The Dalai Lama gave Azim about the idea of the law of attraction And so much more! Things We Mention In This Episode The Tariq Khamisa Foundation Azim’s workshops and trainings Azim’s free meditation recording Azim’s conversation with His Holiness The Dalia Lama The Tibetan Book of Living and Dying How to Help Someone in Crisis 10 Things to Say to a Suicidal Person Join Christina at The Omega Institute for Life Reentry After Loss Second Firsts by Christina Rasmussen Where Did You Go? by Christina Rasmussen And it would mean the world to me if you’d leave a rating and review on iTunes. If you mixed all colors that exist in Nirvana, the Buddhist land of Perfect Bliss, it would become “Nibiiro.” Rima's life passion lays in her philanthropic work. In 2001 she established “Books for Children,” an organization that produces children's books and donates them to children in needs around the world. She has created 4 children's books and has donated more than 12,000 books to the Tibetan children in exile. All profits go to support the Tibetan children's education. H.H. The Dalai Lama, Desmond Tutu and Betty Williams, the Nobel Peace Laureates personally gave her special recognition in 2006 at the International Peace Summit in Japan. For over a thousand years, Tibetan Buddhist psychology has taught techniques for overcoming negative, afflictive emotions, such as anger, greed, jealousy, sloth and ignorance.  In the film THE LAST DALAI LAMA?, His Holiness explains that Tibetan Buddhism is both a religion and a “science of the mind”; he also shares his crystallized understanding of the nature of mind, and its part in the creation and alleviation of all of our suffering.  Believing that this precious wisdom belongs to the world, twenty years ago The Dalai Lama challenged a select group of world-renowned Neuroscientists and Mind/Brain researchers to look into the workings of the mind, and to prove scientifically that “Tibetan Buddhist technologies” for overcoming afflictive emotions are skills that can be learned by anyone. The Dalai Lama commissioned Dr. Paul Ekman and his daughter Dr. Eve Ekman to come up with an “Atlas of Emotions” as a way of understanding the effects of emotions on having a tranquil mind.  Being able to recognize the patterns, triggers and responses to emotions is the first step in dealing with them.  In a moving sequence with a high school class in British Columbia, His Holiness The Dalai Lama is able to share his passion for the subject. His urgency and dedication come through in THE LAST DALAI LAMA? as he now turns 82, and must deal with the questions of aging and death, and whether he will reincarnate as The Dalai Lama, or if he will be the last of the lineage that has existed for a millennia. Director Mickey Lemle joins us to talk about his three decade friendship with His Holiness and the profound impact he has had on  politics, culture and a deeper understanding of our shared human nature. A client recently asked me what I knew about Buddhism. She wanted to go somewhere to immerse herself in Buddhist practice as a way of learning more. I shared some basic information and encouraged her to begin her search with the internet. The fact is that Buddhism is not one thing and there isn't even agreement on the number of main branches. There are numerous questions to clarify including which particular teacher appeals to you. Most of us are familiar with His Holiness The Dalai Lama and the Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh. But do you know what they believe and what the differences are between the different forms of Buddhism? According to my guest for this show, there are five precepts that are essential to all forms of Buddhism: don't kill, don't steal, don't have excessive wants, don't lie, don't get high. In fact, he says that you can summarize Buddhist precepts into one simple concept: Don't be a jerk. Please join us Thursday to learn more about Buddhist wisdom and practice.

In 1872, in The Expression of the Emotions in Man and Animals Charles Darwin hypothesized that emotions were hard-wired into our biology. However, it wasn't until near a century later that Dr. Paul Ekman and his longtime collaborator Wallace Friesen proved that Darwin was right. At the time, the prevailing wisdom was that pretty much everything including the facial expressions were culturally learned and so when Dr. Ekman headed into the Highlands of Papua New Guinea he was searching for one thing: a tribe that had had no contact with the Western world. In this interview, he tells us just how that experiment and subsequent work demonstrated that human facial expressions are universal. From there, Dr. Ekman went on to turn the study of facial expressions from art into science categorizing all the muscles in the human face and codifying 10,000 different facial expressions the human face is capable of. In the process, he discovered that when people try and mask their own emotions tiny little flashes of what they're genuinely feeling flash across their faces. These microexpressions became a useful technique for telling when people are lying and for revealing their true psychological state. So impressive was this work that Hollywood created a TV show (Lie to Me) based on Dr. Ekman.Dr. Ekman has consulted on documentaries galore and most recently consulted on the amazing Pixar movie Inside Out. He also works extensively with His Holiness The Dalai Lama to bridge the findings of Buddhism (often referred to as the science of the mind) with modern neuroscience and psychology. You can read anything by Dr. Ekman and love it but Bryan and Hunter would both highly recommend starting with Emotions Revealed. It's got lots of pictures (which really helps) because when it comes to describing a facial expression for a particular emotion a picture is really worth a thousand words. It's a real treat to have Dr. Paul Ekman on The Bryan Callen Show.

After that, we move onto the last of the four practices to purify karma of the Seven Point Mind Training, which is: make offerings to Dharma Protectors. Deva and Miten's music transcends all the usual musical boundaries, with fans including rock icon Cher, who featured one of Deva’s most popular chants, the Gayatri Mantra, on her Farewell Concert Tour; world renowned author and motivational coach Tony Robbins, and even His Holiness The Dalai Lama who, after hearing Deva & Miten sing for a private audience, exclaimed, “Beautiful music, beautiful…!”

The Trauma Therapist | Podcast with Guy Macpherson, PhD | Inspiring interviews with thought-leaders in the field of trauma.

Joseph Bobrow is a Zen Roshi, psychoanalyst, and author, who has long been integrating Buddhist practice with depth psychology to create relational settings in which individual and collective anguish can be transformed. Most recently he developed reintegration retreats that helped thousands of veterans, their families, and their caregivers transform the traumas of war and find peace. Joseph and his team at Coming Home Project, a service of Deep Streams Zen Institute dedicated to alleviating debilitating trauma, discovered a process called Turning Ghosts into Ancestors; published research demonstrates how it facilitates post-traumatic growth. Coming Home Project now offers consultation and training to create optimal environments for healing, learning, and individual and social change. Joseph tells the story of his integrative work and its contemporary applications to building peace in Waking Up From War: A Better Way Home For Veterans And Nations, with a Foreword by His Holiness The Dalai Lama. Joseph’s first book was Zen And Psychotherapy: Partners In Liberation, with comments by Ven. Thich Nhat Hanh. After Midnight: Selected Poems, Joseph’s first collection of poems, was published in February 2017 by Fisher King Press. Joseph lives in Los Angeles, CA. and teaches widely.Support this podcast at — https://redcircle.com/the-trauma-therapist-podcast-with-guy-macpherson-phd-inspiring-interviews-with-thought-leaders-in-the-field-of-trauma/donationsWant to advertise on this podcast?
