It's been since our Christmas special back in December 2013 that you've heard from us, and we feel just horrible. But fear not, we're making plans to return with an all new season of shows this coming Fall! In the meantime, please enjoy this chat with the international drag sensation Miss Sherry Vine, that Scott & Steve taped on board an Atlantis cruise to the Mediterranean earlier this month. Find out about all the fun aboard the all-gay cruise and what Sherry's been up to in New York City and around the world.
Dale, Scott & Steve are back after a four and a half month hiatus for their annual Christmas special.Listen as the boys tell you what they've been up to during the show's downtime, why they went away in the first place, why Beyonce is a genius, which Disney teen star is getting naked online, why the new King Kong Broadway show looks so gay, and much, much more. You'll agree, too, that it sounds like the guys were never apart!
If you've followed the Swish Edition over the last few years, you know that hosts Dale, Scott & Steve are obsessed with gay cruises. They just can't sing the praises of the all-gay chartered ship concept enough for it's sheer togetherness, adventure, and bang for your vacation buck. So, they were thrilled to speak this week to the new president of RSVP Vacations, Randle Roper. Randle tells the boys all about the ins and outs of this exciting vacation company--including their fast approaching Summer Alaska Cruise! Our chat with Randle kicks off at about the 28:00 minute mark. Also on this episode, we're talking about the John Mayer and Cyndi Lauper concerts we went to; all about the 4th of July weekend; how the Navy is letter sailors wear their uniforms to Pride events; why we applaud CBS for showing the Big Brother contestants' racist and homophobic comments; The New Yorker's depiction of Sesame Street's Bert & Ernie as gay; Lady Gaga changes the words to the National Anthem at a Pride event; and, much more. Plus, we have the newest song from our good friend Tom Goss. This Washington, DC-based folk rocker is making waves coast-to-coast and his Bears song is a slight departure from his usual sound, as he sings about his lifelong love for hairy, larger dudes. Learn more about Tom and buy his music on his site, tomgossmusic.com. And finally, Dale & Scott reveal that they'll be traveling once again with RSVP to Alaska, as an official part of the entertainment lineup! They'll be taping two episodes of the Swish Edition on the ship in front of live studio audiences, complete with celebrity guests and hilarious audience participation games with prizes from Andrew Christian and CockyBoys! Stay tuned for details. We hope you'll sit back and enjoy our freshest new episode!
This holiday week, we have a Swish Extra for you featuring noted gay manners expert, Steven Petrow. We know we promised to be here every week for you all summer, but sometimes Dale, Scott & Steve lie. But never fear, Swish Extras are fun, too. And educational! (And come hell or high water, the boys'll be back next week with an all-new, super show for ya.) But now, listen as Steven shares his best bets for summer parties and houseguests, whether or not you should feel the need to buy gifts again for a second wedding, and if it's cool to wear the American flag as clothing this Thursday...or any other day. Happy 4th, everyone!
Sandwiched between our regular silly pop culture banter is a new song from superstar gay rapper Cazwell and international electro pop queen Luciana called, Guess What? It's a fun new track to heat up your summer. Before the song, the boys talk about the SCOTUS news that still hasn't come; whether or not the hosts are going to screw everything and start their own country; a prominent religious group apologizes for trying the pray the gay away; a homo is now running the U.S. Air Force; two lesbian chicks get hitched across the street from the Westboro Baptist Church; a blogger threatens to out three anti-gay politicians; and, GLAAD and American Apparel team up for Pride. After the song, we're talking about the Abercrombie model who's suing for forced masturbation; the wonderful return of our favorite cream filled snacks (Twinkies, you dirty minded people!); Disney gets some gay neighbors; and Madonna's secret project. Hey, people. It's tons of useless information from Dale, Scott & Steve...your new best friends in Washington, DC. Come soak up the fun with us!
With new music from Daniel Robinson (that's him above) and April Kae (there she is, below left), tons of pop culture news, and peeks into the crazy worlds of your hosts Dale, Scott & Steve...the Swish Edition is back and bigger than ever. It's your favorite gay comedy Well, sillier than ever, perhaps. Discussions include a trip to see a Go-Go's concert; buying a part in Kinky Boots; drinking wine to support marriage equality; selling Manhattan real estate with your dick pic; sending gay dudes to represent the U.S. in Denmark and Spain; Krave Massive's "Boy Hunter" in Las Vegas; Disney's fractured film posters; Ricky Martin's brand new single; and, much, much more. And to break up the action, we have Daniel's Not Your Boy, a track off his just released EP Guesswork as well as April's Love Bomb single. These two cuties are up-and-comers and they deserve your attention! Follow their links to learn more and to buy their music, won't ya? Good times. Old friends. New friends. And lots o' laughs. Dig in to the Swish Edition!
Slurp! From dinner theater to merchandize to "drag in a bag" to wonderfully dirty parodies, Swish hosts Scott & Steve tracked down New York City's Paige Turner when she dropped into Washington, DC's Level One for a spectacular show. New York peeps and visitors can check out Paige every week at Vlada, The Stonewall Inn, XL Lounge and New World Stages among others. And don't forget to check her out on the Old Navy float in NYC's Pride parade on June 30. And because that's not enough, she'll be at the legendary Crown & Anchor in Provincetown, MA, August 20-23. Hear all about this dynamo of a performer in our short interview below. (Warning...Scott & Steve had about 6 drinks before this chat. Scott's more loopy than Steve others, natch.)
While recovering from an endless weekend of festivities at Washington, DC's Capital Pride, your hosts Dale, Scott & Steve get together to tell you about all the gay craziness. Other topics this week include Apple's new announcements; NPH and the Tony Awards; Cher's return to live television; Nike's new Pride sneaker; the dangers of getting your penis stuck in a zipper; Margaret Cho's new web series; Prince Harry saves a gay soldier; Justin Bieber is going to space; butt wipes specially made for men; Ciara gets served while performing at L.A.'s Pride event, and, former 90210 star Ian Ziering gets jiggy with it with the Chippendale's in Las Vegas. Plus, we have a chat with the beautiful Russian electro pop singer Sasha, who just performed at both Miami and DC's Pride events. We've also got her hit single, I'm On Fire.
And just like June snuck up on us (wait, where did Spring go?), the Swish Edition boys are back for a new fun-filled, steamy summer season. After taking a May hiatus, your hosts Dale, Scott & Steve are back in the studio, back on the mics, and bantering like there's no tomorrow. We've got a new theme song and a new dedication to keep things light, fun and extra gay this season, too! This week's topics include a new STD detecting app; America's first gay senior class yearbook couple; the Boy Scouts of America's bad decision; gun and bombs at Disney; a Kickstarter campaign to slut it across America (why didn't we think of that?!); Broadway Bares' new patriotic theme; NPH's taking over of all award shows for life; and, technology that's got us super electrified. Plus, we have a peek into our crazy off-air lives, as well as a hot new single from pop singer Holly Elle, called Predator, which we know you'll dig. Pop culture. Entertainment. Gossip. New music. Sexy time. And much more. Grab a drink, kick back, and get off with us! (Figuratively, of course.)
If you like silly comment on pop culture and gay news, we've got it for you BIG time this week. Dale, Scott & Steve were in rare form (and they weren't even drinking!) when they recorded this episode, featuring the White House Correspondents Dinner; over-the-counter HIV kits; comedian Nathan Fielder gets kids in trouble from coast to coast; actor Zach Braff is the next Kickstarter superhero; a Olympia, Washington politician think gay people should grow their own food; apparently you can be deported for being too sexy (or too gay); Scream is coming to TV; porta potties are gross; and, there are tons of videos making the viral rounds this week they we can't get enough of. Plus, we've got the newest music mix from our resident deejay, DJ Drew G. His version of Lady Gaga’s Love Game (Again) serves as our half-time interlude. And we've got a big announcement: This is our last episode for a spell. We're taking May off to retool and refresh ourselves and will be back on June 4 with a brand new season. In the meantime, we hope you'll enjoy four Best of the Swish Edition episodes, featuring our favorite celebrity interviews from the past three years. If you're newish to the show, you'll love our chats with comedienne Lisa Lampanelli, Oscar winner Cloris Leachman, the First Lady of the Skies Pam Ann and actor/rocker Hal Sparks! Try not to miss us too bad. We'll still be on Facebook, if you need a Swishy fix this May, y'all.
Hosts Dale, Scott & Steve have an intellectual conversation about hollars, gullies and valleys as a part of an all-new gay comedy episode, comin' at ya! This week, we talk about how the National Hockey League and Nike are embracing the gays; why Virgin CEO Sir Richard Branson is going to be sporting drag at 36,000 feet; why the press seems to be obsessed with Mad Men actor Jon Hamm's bulge; why actor Matt Damon is a badass and singer Justin Bieber is a douche; and much more from the week of pop culture and gay news. Plus, we welcome cutie singer Daniel Robinson to the show. We've featured is electro-pop songs in the past, but this is the first time we're chatting him up. Find out why he hates New York City (not us Swishers, mind you, we love it), how he won the John Lennon Songwriting Contest, and listen to his newest single, Running with the Wolves. Our chat with Daniel kicks off at the 50:35 minute mark. Tons of silly chat and a bit of pop music...this week on the Swish Edition. Listen in!
The pop culture and gay news extravaganza continues this week with topics as varied as a prominent Mormon coming out for marriage equality; Facebook lighting up with red equal signs; politician Rick Santorum blaming the whole marriage equality fight on the premiere of the sitcom Will & Grace; Anderson Cooper and Kathy Griffin team up for a possible CNN series; and, Lady Gaga spotted in a custom-made Louis Vuitton wheelchair. Joining Dale, Scott & Steve in the Secret Underground Studio this week is their good friend David Jenkins (seen right, behind Steve's big mouth) as co-host. This DC-area native is just silly enough to hang with the boys, he fit in nicely (despite his gravely voice) and no topic's off the table. And as a bonus, you'll learn how he washes his clothes--no water and detergent for him, he just sticks his stuff in the freezer! We can't make this stuff up, people. We also welcome, the multi-talented Broadway star Christine Pedi (shown above left as Liza) to the show. This lady has an uncanny ability to channel everyone from Cher to Liza and everyone in between, she’s one of the stars of Off-Broadway's NEWsical the Musical, and she hosts her own longtime SiriusXM radio show Monday through Saturday. Listen as we play a few clips of her amazing cabaret show, her hilarious Shit Liza Minneli Says viral video, and we'll all find out exactly what she was doing in the coffin, between takes, on the set of The Sopranos. (She played Bobby Baccalieri's wife Karen.) Christine also makes a HUGE announcement about her upcoming 10-week stint in a long-running, beloved Broadway smash! Pop, gay, and Broadway. That's how we do it this week on the Swish Edition.
Madonna and other celebrities make a splash at the GLAAD Media Awards in New York; Beyonce has a (horrible!) new song; politicians speak out for marriage equality; and a dad writes the perfect letter to his son. Those are just some of the pop culture stories hosts Scott & Steve discuss this week, along with tales from Steve's trip to see P!NK in concert and Scott's adventures in NYC to attend the aforementioned GLAAD Media Awards and how he happened to overhear some juicy Harvey Weinstein conversations at lunch. Then, the boys welcome Charlie the Matchmaker to the show. His new book, Love Made Easy with Charlie the Matchmaker, is a compilation of the advice that he has used throughout the years assisting his clients in finding love. Based in New York City, Charlie is also a columnist for the Huffington Post, among other outlets, and he uses a variety of creative methods and advice to help both gays and straights alike. You can keep up with Charlie on Facebook and see him in person at his Dear Charlie cabaret show in Asbury Park, NJ on April 21 or in New York City on May 12. Do you remember being on a date and not knowing what to say next? Do you feel lost looking for love in the big city? Charlie will offer an engaging evening of song, advice, and cunning humor as he takes you down Lovers’ Lane. Check it out! Love is in the air on the Swish Edition this week! Come listen to this fun little episode...our last without Dale. He's back next week!
Once again, Scott & Steve host the show without their redhead. Sadly, Dale was sick and missed the taping. It's super sad because you guys won't hear from him until late-March; the boy is on a plane to Ghana, Africa as we speak. But the boys somehow soldier on. Back in the studio in Washington, DC, there are tons of cruise ship stories from Scott & Steve's week; stories they didn't tell on Episode 215 and 216 that were taped on the RSVP cruise ship. Hear all about the insane antics of headliner Carrie Fisher; the nearly-naked theme parties; hanging out with Jonny McGovern and the other entertainers on the ship; and much more cruise craziness. Plus, we break down Sunday's Oscar telecast; talk about the Razzies; Jane Lynch is going to Broadway; recent crazy Jackson family news; Lisa Lampanelli's N-word controversy; and, much, much more. Also this week, we have our monthly segment from our resident gay manners expert Steven Petrow and a fun new pop song from up-and-coming singer Hailey Rowe, called, My Boyfriend is Gay. It's a fun little episode we think you'll enjoy. This week on the Swish Edition!
The Swish Edition was thrilled to be invited by RSVP Vacations to step aboard their Southern Caribbean Cruise last week to tape episodes of the Swish Edition in front of live studio audiences on the ship. And, wow, hosts Scott & Steve (Dale sadly missed the boat) came away with some great stuff for y'all! In fact, there was so much of it, they had to release this week's episode in two parts. This is Swish on RSVP Part One; Part Two will drop on February 21. First up, the boys welcome the absolutely hilarious good sport, the Gay Pimp himself, Jonny McGovern. Jonny talks about his obsession with the Golden Girls, how he creates his original and parody songs, why he made the big move from New York City to Los Angeles, why he drives a purple car, all about his super hot Saturday night party at Fubar, his big gay podcast weekend in Florida, and much more. Scott & Steve were in stitches and were tickled pink to chat with one of their own gay idols. And we've got Jonny's Sexy Nerd song for ya, too! After that, the quick witting and super cute Poppi Kramer joins the boys on the stage. Poppi is a stand-up comedienne in New York City and this chick is so super cool, even when she cuts Scott down a size or two! We talk gay cruises with Poppi along with why she can't do the lesbian cruises because they're all too emotional; how she got started in comedy, by accident; how she found herself as a contestant on NBC's The Biggest Loser; why she shies away from fisting; and much, much more. You've just got to check out Poppi the next time you're in the NYC area. She's a super hoot. What you won't hear on this episode is all the pop culture news and personal stories you've come to expect from the podcast. But never fear, Dale, Scott & Steve will be back with a traditional episode on February 26, with tons of the crazy stories that happened at sea on the big gay cruise. Until then, don't forget to stream of download Part Two of Episode 215, too. It features the beautiful and talented Frenchie Davis and the always knee-slappin' Jessica Kirson. It was also taped on the ship with a very enthusiastic audience and it drops on February 21 and will be available forever afterwards whenever you want to listen. And finally, a big thank you to the great folks at RSVP for all of their help and their kind invitation. A special shout out goes to Jeff Gundvaldson, Rachel Pearson and Brad Loekle!
Welcome Black History Month. Welcome Ground Hog Day. Welcome President's Day. Welcome Valentine's Day. The Oscars! The Super Bowl! Gay cruises! February is one of our favorite months. And for our first episode of the year's shortest month, we're talking about the Super Bowl complete with commentary on the game, the black out, the commercials, and Beyonce's (lack-luster?) half-time show. We've also talking about the homophobic San Francisco 49ers; Steve's chafed nipples; the groundhog's shadow controversy; how Scott & Steve are preparing to get warm and crazy in Florida and the Caribbean; coming out via cake; the douche that is Texas governor Rick Perry; Twinkies WILL return; and, much more! After that, we welcome Los Angeles-based songwriter, producer and super hottie Markaholic. This creative dude is the mastermind behind some of our favorite viral songs and music videos including Boy is a Bottom (which we feature on this episode), Chow Down at Chik-fil-A and Jonny McGovern's Sexy Nerd, to name just a few. He's also recently wrote songs and scored the popular Neil's Puppet Dreams, starring Neil Patrick Harris and David Burtka. (We hate him! Why can't WE work with NPH?! Jealous.) Mark talks to Scott at the 28:17 minute mark. Then, the boys all talk to Sister Helen Holy, the brainchild of Texas-based comedian Paul J. Williams. Helen brings her 701 Club to Swish and gives us some very godly advice about the evil gay cruisers and some pointers on personal style and living right! And Paul tells us how he's created his classic characters, how he got started in comedy, and why he's cruised with RSVP over 20 times. Helen & Paul are hilarious and they join us at the 53:25 mark. Curl up on the couch, get comfy and listen as Dale, Scott & Steve (and their friends) entertain you.
It's the gender bending episode to top all gender bending episodes, y'all. We've got New York City nightclub performer and comedian Marti Gould Cummings; the return of Sherry Vine & Josh Rosenzweig from Here TV; and, actor and director Christopher Logan up in here, up in here. First up, Marti Gould Cummings drops by to tell us about how he went from his family's Maryland farm to take New York City by storm, befriending the city's Broadway and nightlife entertainers and quickly transforming himself into a unique, gender bending cabaret performer and comedian. He hosts four shows a week, has his own series of web shows, and despite being insanely busy, finds time for activism and he's calling out to his generation to wrap it up before you hit the kitty. You'll just have to listen to hear how that came to be. It's scandalous! Hear Marti at the 20:00 minute mark. Then, we've got the return of our most-frequent Swish guest, the international phenomenon that is Miss Sherry Vine along with her HereTV boss and best friend Josh Rosenzweig. It's always a party when we get together with our old friends after one of Sherry's shows (she was performing at DC's Level One/Cobalt last Friday night) and together we talked about Sherry's newest parody's, originals, and her touring schedule, the return of her television variety show, She's Living for This, what's new at the all-gay network, and much more. Hear all the craziness with Sherry, Josh, Scott & Steve at the 52:58 minute mark. After that, Scott chats with actor and director Christopher Logan. Known best for his role as Patty Melt in the cult classic movie Connie & Carla, Christopher has starred in tons of films and television shows and now he's produced an amazing coffee table book called, dr.a.g., featuring amazing photographs of drag queens from New York to Las Vegas to the queens of RuPaul's Drag Race (including Sherry Vine, too!). It's a great collection, created to support independent film projects and we recommend it highly. Listen in on Christopher at the 1:20:30 mark. The boys also talk about the Inauguration, including the First Lady's bangs; what the gays think of vaginas; same-sex-coupled British monarchs may get to have their offspring claim the thrown; Lindsay Lohan just keeps diggin' a bigger hole; Hasbro is retiring one of the classic Monopoly pieces; It's a mega-show people...and we hope you'll join us for all the fun. Word.
We're back! After a month away, Dale, Scott & Steve are back with the first episode of 2013, featuring Nasty Pig clothing company founders David Lauterstein & Fred Kearney in-studio. David and Fred tell us how they're slowly taking over the "bad boy," edgy clothing world by storm; all about their hot new #iamnastypig campaign (featuring one hottie named Matt in particular, see his video below); how they've managed to work and live together as a couple for 20+ years; how they design their clothes in order to help people get laid; why they chose a female for an upcoming campaign; why they are moving to a bigger store in Manhattan; and, much more. As David says, Fred and he are living, "...the great American wet dream." Gotta love that! Our chat with David & Fred starts at the 38:45 minute mark. (A longer, uncut version of the interview is available at SwishEdition.com.) Also on the show, the boys talk about what's been going on in their lives in the last several weeks including their holiday partying, Dale & Scott's trip to Las Vegas, Steve's escapades at Mid-Atlantic Leather, Britney Spears' possible residency in Sin City, Justin Timberlake's first new song in six years, we're wasting money on another inaugural for a sitting president, Grindr's Best of 2012 awards, the Do-Gooder & the Douche of the week, Super Gonorrhea and much more.
Could this be the final episode of the Swish Edition? Hell, could this be the end of everything this week!? Well, guess we'll all find out this Friday, December 21st, the day the Mayans' calendar ran out. In the meantime, this is at the very least, our last episode of 2012. The boys talk about Steve's naked gay weekend in Ft. Lauderdale; who the biggest douches of the whole Connecticut shooting turned out to be; Adam Lambert as a diva; MDNA is the most successful tour of the year; porn king Michael Lucas switches gear with a new documentary on gay men in Israel; the public nudity ban in San Francisco sticks; why football should stay on the damned sports channels (so as not to upset the racists); and, a McDonald's cult classic returns. After that, we've got a sample of our good friend DJ Drew G's Dirty Pop 29, a mega-music mix that you'll want to download to play at your holiday party! It's super fun. Plus, we run down our favorite show events and guests from the wonderful year of 2012 that was! It's hard to believe we did so much. Happy Holidays from Dale, Scott & Steve! We hope you enjoy our last episode of the year and we look forward to being back with you on Tuesday, January 15, 2013, when we'll return from our three week vacation. Can't wait to see you then.
This week the boys talk about decorating for Christmas; what movies suck; the Beekman Boys (aka The Evil Gays) win CBS' Amazing Race; gay kisses on TV; Scott guest hosts an episode of PriceCast: An Unofficial Price is Right Podcast; the gays are getting married in Washington state; Heterosexuality Awareness Month; and, our friends got back from the Caribbean Drag Cruise (and, yes, Steve was right: it wasn't an official RuPaul's Drag Race event) with tales to tell. Then, Dale, Scott & Steve welcome Jeff Gundvaldson to the show. He's the president of RSVP Vacations and he shares stories about how the first company to charter cruise ships for exclusive gay vacations go started. From choice entertainment, to classic theme parties, to exciting itineraries that has something for everyone. Okay, maybe it sounds like a big fat commercial to you, but your hosts feel so strongly that gay cruises are the ultimate vacation option, that they're trying to convince everyone to give it a try. Scott & Steve will be setting sail with RSVP in 60 days for a Caribbean cruise to write home about! Can't wait. Whether it's the Caribbean, an Alaskan adventure, or a riverboat cruise through Eastern Europe...try a gay cruise, y'all! In the meantime, hear us talk to Jeff at the 44:20 minute mark. And finally, the boys play Sherry Vine's newest NSFW, dirty, dirty parody of wil.i.am & Britney Speers' Scream and Shout...but her's is called, Squeeze and Fart, naturally. And it's destined to be a new holiday classic!
Ready, kids?! We've got another funny one for ya. (And, no, Taco Bell is not a sponsor of this episode. We just love to run for the border, especially when it's free.) This week, Dale, Scott & Steve are thrilled to welcome the hilarious Jessica Kirson to the show. This popular comedian does the late night talk shows, hosts comedy festivals from coast-to-coast, is a popular cruise entertainer, and dominates the web with her own series of laugh out loud videos (see one of our favorites at the bottom of this page and/or follow her on YouTube). Jessy K talks about growing up in Jersey, the Jersey Show reality show, how she loves to shock people in public, how a big black woman is trapped inside her, her new movie School Dance, her step-brother Zach Braff, gay cruises, and much more. It's a fun, silly conversation that we think you'll dig. The chat with Jessica kicks in at the 41:15 minute mark of the episode. Plus, the boys talk about their crazy Thanksgivings; Cher's new single; Madonna isn't going to jail; Neil Patrick Harris' love of puppets; Dale wins a jackpot and gets a hand-pay; Chris Brown's Twitter woes; and, the forthcoming Las Vegas party train. Finally, your hosts kick off their Countdown to Christmas segments with their (sometimes dirty) holiday gift ideas!
It's a mega-show, y'all! First up, Dale, Scott & Steve welcome folk-rock singer Tom Goss and Washington, DC-based artist Scott Brooks to the studio as their special guest co-hosts. The guys are promoting their new collaborative and quite creative music video for Tom's song, Make Believe. You've GOT to see it to believe it (it's at the bottom of this page) and then listen to how they made it. Plus, we learn more about Tom's infectious music and Scott's sometimes-disturbing oil paintings. Then, all the guys discuss all the gays that were elected this past week; Scott's trip to New Orleans; why Dale hates every movie ever made; the fact that Tom has wide feet; where the otters should go to party; how much Dorothy's dress fetched at auction; how we should split the U.S. into two countries; who was giving away hundreds of free vibrators in the city today; and much, much more comment on pop culture and the news of the week. After that, we turn over the show to Justin Luke--our Gay-on-the-Ground in New York City--while he chats with Manhattan's hilarious and beautiful showbiz spitfire Paige Turner. They discuss So You Think You Can Drag, Drag in a Bag, Slurp Sundays, how Paige is the most-merchandised drag queen, music videos, how to get boys naked and what's new this fall! This chick never sleeps and she's got TONS going on. It's a fun little chat from the streets of Hell's Kitchen. (Oh, and don't forget to check out one of her silly parody videos below.) Justin & Paige kick off at the 37:40 minute mark. And finally, we've got a conversation with Los Angeles' DJ Paul V (aka Paul Vitagliano) and his spectacular new book, Born This Way: Real Stories of Growing Up Gay. Learn how the popular deejay and music reviewer started the blog of the same name and how that became this must-read and must-gift tome. Featuring both hilarious and heartbreaking memories of growing up LGBTQ--and featuring the likes of columnist Michael Musto, RuPaul Drag Races' Raja, Erasure's Andy Bell and many more. Hear Scott & Paul chat at the 1:02:30 mark. So, folks, this episode is a hefty one, but we think you'll have a laugh or three...and learn something, too. Stream or download it now and listen up!
This election day episode features a very revealing and entertaining chat with the one and only Traci Lords direct from Southern California. This notorious vixen hasn't tried to hide from her early porn beginnings, but at the same time is most interested in talking about being the mother of a 5-year old, how she keeps an emergency bikini in the trunk of her car, and how her role in the cult movie Cry Baby is her all time favorite. Plus, this actress, writer, director and singer discusses her new scary movie Excision and her new electro-pop dance music album, Traci Lords Presents M2F2 from Sea to Sun Recordings. And we recommend both this fall! And of course we have Traci's tracks He's My Bitch and Last Drag for ya! Our entraining chat with Traci starts at the 39:00 minute mark of the episode. As our special guest host this week, we welcome the Executive Director of the Capital Area Gay & Lesbian Chamber of Commerce in the studio. Mark Guenther leads this very important organization--winner of 2012's Chamber of the Year--and tells us all about his upcoming event, g.life on November 17 here in Washington, DC. We also talk about Christmas commercials coming to our TVs; Scott & Steve's sea cruise to nowhere; Dorothy's dress from The Wizard of Oz is up for sale; furry porn; the boys' adventures on the streets of DC for the Annual High Heel Race; and, Hurricane Sandy affected the homeless gay youths of New York City, and they need your help! Plus, Cher & Kathy Griffin's hilarious women's rights video (see it below); Ricky Martin tweets a pantless photo for charity (see it below, too); victimless crimes; and, much more! It's QUITE a fun-filled episode and we're thrilled to bring it to ya. Listen while you're waiting to vote!
Ladies and gentlemen, welcome aboard to the 99th flight of Swish Air. We've been cleared for take off and your flight crew--Dale, Scott & Steve--are in the cockpit and they're pulling back on their yokes. Ready for the jokes? This week, we welcome back to the show the first lady of the skyways, Pam Ann. This international air hostess is one of the funniest comediennes we know and we were thrilled that she made time for us again. She talks about her transition to living in New York City, her stint at the XL Nightclub, her upcoming European tour, crewing for pain-in-the-ass Elton John, all about her new DVD, her plans for a Pam Ann movie, and so much more. Pam (aka Caroline Reid) is so dirty and so very un-PC. Our kinda girl! We also have two new songs from our OTHER favorite funny lady Miss Sherry Vine! We've been chatting with her lately and learned that she just keeps churning them out. One is an original called, Lost In You, and a parody of Alisha Keys' Girl On Fire, which Sherry made into Girl For Hire, naturally. Love us our Sherry fix! The hosts also discuss their recent trip to Madonna's MDNA concert, Steve's Botox, Paul Ryan's sorta-kinda support for the gays, why you still can't eat that chicken, Paris Hilton and the cabbie's audio tape, Iran and butt babies, P!NK's hot new album, the Emmy Awards, and much, much more. So sit back, buckle your seat belt, and get ready for a very bumpy flight.
Get ready, boys & girls, we've got quite a filled-to-the-rim episode for ya this week! First up, Dale, Scott & Steve welcome their special in-studio guest host, Broadway star turned fitness guru Craig Ramsay and learn all about his many talents. This hottie played hockey (as every good Canadian does), learned ballet, mastered contortionism, worked as a fitness model, starred in countless Broadway and traveling stage shows, was featured on Bravo's Thintervention, and is now a sought-after fitness and life coach with a series of online courses, DVDs and books. Whew! Dude is busy, busy. (And did we mention that he's a total hunk, too?) You'll enjoy listening about his exciting life. Plus, he sits in with the boys when they discuss American Idol & X-Factor judges; Craig's parents are never watching America's Got Talent again; Steve & Scott's weekend at the Jersey shore; West Hollywood's rainbow crosswalks; Rupert Everett's silly comments about gays raising kids; Jane Lynch and the fish; and, much more pop culture news. At the 36:00 minute mark, Scott talks to Jon Marcus, the director, writer and executive producer of the provocative new web series, Hunting Season. We fell in love with the gay comedy/drama series that features a mostly out cast and can be best described as a cross between Sex and the City and Queer as Folk. But we think it's actually pretty original...and hot! (There's full-frontal, people.) Go watch the episodes on HuntingSeason.tv, you'll be glad you did. And to wrap it all up, we welcome back our resident gay etiquette expert Steven Petrow for his monthly visit. Steven discusses the 18 year-old football player that got kicked off his team for making out with his 65 year-old boyfriend (yup, you read that right), the first anniversary of the end of DADT, his own online HIV test poll (we DO NOT like the results), and pet peeves of the month. Hear the fun segment slight after the 1:00:00 hour mark.
It's a brand new week and that means a brand new episode is coming your way! The guys are back in the studio after being off last week...so there's much to discuss. And for a change, it's just the boys shooting the shit (with a small break for a cool new song). Dale, Scott & Steve talk about, Steve's trip to New York City to see Broadway shows with his family; the bulges and near-naked shots from the London Olympics; the Swish hosts pose for Adam Bouska's NOH8 campaign; a final word on the whole Chik-fil-A mess; and, Elton John is a big douche who hates Madonna for no real reason! All that, plus The Matrix director Larry Wachowski is now Lana; the Democrats officially embrace same-sex marriage; which U.S. city is the coolest according to Forbes magazine; Las Vegas' Krave is going to get MUCH bigger; and, RuPaul's Drag Race All-Star cast revealed! PLUS, AN IMPORTANT UPDATE The guys share with you the controversy that sprouted out of our Episode 192. On the last episode, Scott & Steve chatted on-location with Cole & Hunter of The Maverick Men when Cole told the story about how he helped subdue a crazy man who punched a flight attendant and tried to open a cabin door while the JetBlue plane they were flying in was on it's way to Ft. Lauderdale. After Scott posted the account on Queerty.com, the commenters went bananas, claiming that the story was fake because it didn't make the news. Anyway, Cole wasn't too happy that people doubted the authenticity of the story...so he sets us all straight via a voicemail message we'll play for you. NEW MUSIC: ONE TO WATCH All that, and we have a up-and-coming new musical artist to share with you. Cutie Daniel Robinson on Buffalo, New York is a singer/songwriter we think you need to keep your eye on. His electropop sound is kind of Owl City-like and we totally dig it. We bring you his "Heroes In The Sky" track from his album "North." We hope you'll dig it, too, and go buy the rest of his cool new tunes. (The set-up and the song start at the 47:50 minute mark.)
Huge episode this week, boys and girls! It's so jam-packed with Swishy goodness, you might have to listen in pieces. But beware! First up, Scott & Steve chat about the hot topics of the week, including, Mariah Carrey joining American Idol; the homophobic Chik-fil-A and Boy Scouts of America; the douche that is Mike Huckabee; why private companies shouldn't have to cater to the gays if they don't want to; actor Stephen Moyer wants more gay sex for his character on True Blood; funny man Fred Willard needs to get the internet (it's for porn, you know?); Scott is joining Justin Luke's new JustinPlusSix.com blog; and, Edina and Patsy are back with an Olympics special on the BBC America. Then, Scott chats with YouTube phenom Charlie Hides, direct from his London home. This very talented performer has entertained audiences throughout the United States and Europe for decades and has recently made a big splash with his creative music video parodies and skits featuring the best of his original characters as well as spot-on impressions of the likes of Cher, Madonna, Lady Gaga, Adele, and many more. Find out how he does everything from wigs to costumes to filming to editing it all himself. And why he and his partner are packing up and headed to the south of France instead of dealing with the mess that will be London during the Olympics. Plus, hear what Cher thinks of his signature, "Whoooooo?" catch phrase. We have Charlie's newest song parody of Madonna's "Turn Up The Radio" (You can also see the video at the bottom of this page). Charlie's chat kicks in at the 28:58 mark in the episode. Then, Scott & Steve recount their crazy weekend in Asbury Park, New Jersey. They were there for some of the SandBlast parties and they were thrilled to run into their old friends Cole & Hunter from the Maverick Men (link not safe for work!) as well as their very own gay-on-the-ground in New York City, Justin Luke! The boys sat at the Langosta Lounge right on the boardwalk and chatted about their world-wind tour of the world. They're on the road constantly filming videos and traveling to Pride events, parties, and every now and then enjoying a much needed vacation. Their tales include a hotel ghost story, their signature jockstraps, how they saved a JetBlue flight with the heroics, the anti-climatic World Pride, their new DVD collection, Cole's new book, and much more. WARNING, guys, this chat with Cole & Hunter is NOT SAFE FOR WORK and may not be appropriate for all audiences. These x-rated dirty boys hold nothing back. May the listener beware! Our chat with Cole & Hunter kicks in at the 55:20 mark. After that, we run into Justin Luke and talk about all things SandBlast and he tells us a bit more about his new blog which just launched this week. Justin's mini-segment is at the 1:25:15 mark. And finally...we get around to our favorite gay manners expert, Steven Petrow, who returns for his July visit to the Swish Edition. Scott and Steven talk about whether to not to confront rude, homophobic patrons in a restaurant; what etiquette says about how to address lesbian couples in a formal way (Mrs. & Mrs., anyone?); tips for lonely young people; and, what happens when a guy wants to stay friends with an ex-boyfriend but his new partner says, "no!" We love our monthly visit from Steven Petrow! His segment starts at the 1:36:00 mark.
We were absolutely thrilled to talk to New York City & Fire Island's legendary nightlife promotor Daniel Nardicio this week. His DWorld Events throws some of the most creative, sexy parties in the city and at the beach, including this summer's amazing Icon Series that will feature the likes of Liza Minelli, Alan Cumming, Margaret Cho and many other A-listers. Daniel--who was once called "The King of NYC queer sleaze" by the Village Voice--has really done it all. He's an entrepreneur, an actor, a radio personality, he created the (now defunct) DList.com, he revived Playgirl magazine and was the dude who booked Levi Johnston and (our friend) Ronnie Kroelle, and he's a dirty boy at heart. That's why we loved talking to him so much! And you'll LOVE the stories he has to tell. Not work safe, boys. You've been warned. Best yet, Dale, Scott & Steve have been invited to take the show to Fire Island later this summer. And since we've never been...we're already packing our bags! Yup, we want to stay in Daniel's Butt Hut. (Um, you have to listen to find out what that's all about.) Daniel's segment starts at the 35:27 mark. After we were done with the gay Hugh Hefner (love that!), we welcomed back our resident gay etiquette expert Steven Petrow to the show for his monthly segment. This time, we talk about house guests, telling someone else's HIV status, prenups for gays, and much more. We can't get enough Steven! Hear Steven's segment at the 1:08:05 mark. We also have a brand new song from the rock group, Tyrannosaurus Grace. Their newest track, “You Should Feel Ashamed” is featured and you'll dig it. And if you like it...buy it! The boys also talk about Steve's trip to Columbus Pride; Dale's reluctance to get naked for money; the White House gay event; the Octomom gets sued for not stripping; Abercrombie models can't lip-synch; and, tons and tons of gay hilarity from our lives to yours. Today's show is brought to you in part by Caribbean Heat, a week-long, world-class, all-male gay dance party event held August 31 – September 7, 2012 at the Adonis Gay Beach Resort in Tulum, Riviera Maya in Mexico. Be a part of all the fun. Click the link above for more information and to register for a free 7-night trip!
We're always thrilled to feature new musicians on the show. And when this week's singer turns out to be a super hottie, model, dancer, actor, and artist by the name of MIKE MUNICH, we're on top of the world. Mike calls in to chat with Dale, Scott & Steve about his longtime role on FOX's Glee (he's part of the Vocal Adrenaline group); how he carried Lady Gaga's infamous egg into the American Music Awards; danced in several of her videos; has performed with Adam Lambert and Kei$ha and countless others; has graced hundreds of magazines and websites as a sought after model; and, he's starred in a string of videos for Andrew Christian. Sigh. It's too bad this boy lives such a boring life! We also talk to him about his own music. His "Beat the Beat" and "Referee" singles have been heating up lately and his full EP is due soon. He'll be on the road performing at Pride events, too, so get ready, America. It's gonna be one hot summer! Also up this week, our resident gay etiquette expert STEVEN PETROW returns for his monthly segment with Scott. They talk about whether it's kosher to turn funerals into fundraisers; the dangers of social media-ing while drunk; the proposed boycott of North Carolina; and, the true meaning of 'fashionably late.' (Hint, it does NOT mean showing up for dinner 45 minutes after everyone sat down.) Our conversations with Steven keep getting better and we love that he's a part of the show. And mixed throughout today show, the hosts chat about pre-Capital Pride events; Scott's run-in with Sherry Vine in the Garden State; whether Jay-Z means what he says about same-sex marriage; Clay Aiken and his Face the Nation appearance; all the Fall 2012 television announcements from the networks; and, how one crazy lady in Nebraska thinks rimming will kill within 30-minutes flat! No joke. And finally, it's the third and final week of our new giveaway contest! You can enter to win a C-IN2 Prize Pack if you enter by 5:00pm EST on May 22. Find out how.
This week, the boys are tackling these hot topics: Queen Latifa's non-coming out; John Travolta's wiry pubes; Brian McKnight's dirty new song; the FCKH8 campaign's newest advocacy video; naked boys dancing on Broadway; Anna Paquin's bi-sexual comments; Vice President Biden's non-White House approved comments on same-sex marriage; a parents' group wants sponsors to boycott NBC's America's Got Talent because of Howard Stern; the boys love HBO's Veep and can't wait for the return of True Blood with its new hottie actors; a man sues BMW for his broken penis; and, much, much more regular and gay hilarity! And then, after several weeks without a dose, Dale, Scott & Steve catch up with their Gay-On-The-Ground in New York City, Mr. Justin Luke. He talks about his new book Gulliver Takes Manhattan, what's hot in New York gay nightlife, what to see and what NOT to see on Broadway right now, how he's tackling drag for the first time this coming weekend, what's up with Provincetown this summer, and how to save money if you want to overnight at the sometimes pricy, newish OUT XL hotel. We love Justin and you'll dig hearing about this super busy, productive guy and all of his many projects. And finally, it's the second week of our new giveaway contest! You can enter to win a C-IN2 Prize Pack if you enter by 5:00pm EST on May 22. Find out how.
There's lots going on this week on the freshest episode of the Swish Edition. We welcome a slew of guests and talk about all the hot topics of the week. First up, the boys discuss: their ill-fated trip to watch celebrities at the White House Correspondents Dinner here in Washington; Dale & Scott take a beginners screen printing class...and get dirty; Steve accidentally deactivated one of Dale's nipples; May is Masturbation Awareness Month; breaking down the season finale of RuPaul's Drag Race; the Tony Award nominations are out and Ricky Martin gets no love for Evita; there are lesbian swans in Boston; Marines overseas like to wear tiny Justin Bieber t-shirts; an Ohio shock jock gets in trouble for telling a father to have a friend fuck his daughter straight; the Backstreet Boys are going back in the studio...with Kevin!; and Queen Latifa is going to perform at a Pride event for the first time. Then, the hosts welcome back to the studio the wonderfully talented hairy parody queen, Miss Sherry Vine. And this month she brought a very special guest with her, Josh Rosenzweig, the Senior Vice President for Integrated Marketing at Here! Networks, the host of his own here!TV show Just Josh, and the director or Sherry's television show, She's Living For This (whew...that's a mouthful). We had a great time and you'll be able to tell! (Our chat kicks off at the xx:xx mark.) After that, Scott chats with Greg Sovell the founder and lead designer for the C-IN2 clothing brand. You know how the boys at Swish love their underwear...so this was a special treat. Get inside the company and find out how all of your favorite designs cum come to life. (You'll hear Greg's segment at the x:xx:xx mark!) Best yet, you can enter to win a C-IN2 Prize Pack if you enter by 5:00pm EST on May 22. Find out how. All that and our gay-on-the-ground in New York City, Justin Luke, you know him, his book has finally been released! You can buy Gulliver Takes Manhattan as a paperback or the digital version at Amazon and you can see a picture of Dale, Scott & Steve below with the book. Fun! Come play with us!
The boys welcome the multi-talented Scott Nevins to the show this week. He's a regular on truTV's The Smoking Gun Presents, he's a cover model, he's an actor, he's a stand-up comedian, he's...damn...he's everything! This hottie updates us on his new part-time gig as the new cruise director for RSVP Vacations, he updates us on his land tour dates, we go behind-the-scenes of his hit television show, he tells us about his favorite people to impersonate, his friendship with Lorna Luft, and he even sings as Judy Garland for us. It's a conversation that was meant to be 15-minutes, but we were having so much fun, time got away from us. We think you'll dig the whole thing. The boys also discuss the douches of the week, including Pat Robertson, Rick Santorum and Carson Daly; bisexual dolphins in Australia; Scott and Steve clash over the Celebrity Apprentice; Madonna news, including her afternoon of tweets and her new Truth Or Dare perfume; the Atlantis sex scandal photo; the new Pipe underwear model who just happens to be one of the hosts' favorite DC bartenders; and, much, much more. They also discuss their latest adventures in New York City for Dale's birthday late last week, including a Human Rights Watch reception with Ricky Martin and Scott's sister; a performance of Evita on Broadway; a run in with our very own Justin Luke at his 20Something party at the XL MegaClub; and, an overnight stay at the brand new Out NYC hotel, where they found a ginger cactus in the bathroom. (Oh, and the boys partied with Swish Super Listener, Edward!) Oh, and we feature Scott & Steve's Doing Our Fitness video, from a recent trip to the gym. Looks easy...but it wasn't. At least for them. See the video at "swishedition" on YouTube. All that, plus we announce our newest Twitter winner. And if you regularly listen to all our craziness, you too could be a Swishy Prize Pack winner. This week, we announce our brand new contest. Listen carefully to learn how to win.
Singer/songwriter Tom Goss returns to the studio as our guest host this week, replacing Dale, who's finishing up a week at clown college. Scott & Steve are treated to an extra special treat, too, when Tom pulls out his guitar and sings two brand new songs from his forthcoming album, Lost Songs and Underdogs. You'll hear Pills and Chalk and I Do, two great tunes. Plus, this cutie folk-rock singer shares with us details of his massive spring/summer tour of America. And Scott was excited to swing open the studio doors last Friday night to welcome back Sherry Vine and, for the very first time on Swish, New York-based drag sensation, Bianca del Rio. The girls were featured performers at the Cobalt/Level One complex across the street from the studio that night, so a team of friends, who were at the show, too, came over the studio to watch. You'll hear them in the background for this silly little chat (at the 42:20 mark). The boys also discuss Scott's new iPad; Beyonce's just-announced, post-baby concerts in Atlantic City (we're going!); setting expectations before a Grindr hookup; the violence against gays solidarity march in Washington (and you can help right here); Rosie's OWN show is officially cancelled; X-Files actress Gillian Anderson comes out; the hot twins of Elephant have a new song and video out, which we are loving; Willam Belli's Chik-fil-A parody video; Santorum's war on pornography; and, much, much more. All that, plus we announce our newest Twitter winner. And if you regularly listen to all our craziness and become a new follow on Twitter between now and March 27, and you could be a Swishy Prize Pack winner, too!
We're mixing it up this week with two great guest co-hosts who sit in with Dale, Scott & Steve for the whole show--gay stand-up comedians Chris Doucette and Zach Toczynski. The guys behind Washington, DC's monthly Gaylarious Comedy showcase will have you in stitches as they help us skewer all the pop culture and gay news of the week over cocktails. Lots of cocktails. Nothing is off limits nor sacred with these guys. Just the way we like it! Topics include last Sunday's Oscar-snorefest-of-a telecast; the just announced cast of Dancing with the Stars; Zac Efron and the condom drop incident; the gay Marine homecoming photo seen 'round the world; same-sex marriage comes to Maryland; straight boys playing it gay for ratings; Rude Boys are fun; and, anything you might do on Leap Day, doesn't count! The hosts also play a round of the Swish's signature "Super Gay Bad Libs," (to the dismay of Chris & Zach). Hey, we think it's a fun activity...but we'll do our best to come up with a fresh, new game for next time. Promise. All that, plus we announce our newest Twitter winner. And if you regularly listen to all our craziness and become a new follow on Twitter between now and March 6, and you could be a Swishy Prize Pack winner, too!
This week, we welcome Metro Weekly magazine publisher/editor Randy Shulman to the studio. A longtime movie reviewer, he brings along his picks for this weekend's Academy Awards. And he's as confused as we all are with many of this year's nominations. For one, Melissa McCarthy for Bridesmaids, asking, "...she's been nominated for pooping in a sink?" If you're in the Washington, DC area this Sunday, go watch the Oscars at Town Danceboutique with Randy, an event to support the DC Center. It's called, Glammer, Glitter & Gold. Catch Randy and the Oscar segment at the 37:50 mark. Then, we've got our very good friend Sherry Vine via Skype. We catch up with her about her upcoming big weekend: Her television variety show She's Living For This premieres on hereTV this Friday, February 24 and she celebrates her 20th anniversary as Sherry at NYC's Barracuda this Sunday, February 26. We can never get enough of our global parody queen...and we have her latest song that she recorded with the great Pandora Boxx, a parody of Madonna's Give Me All Your Love, now called, Give Me All Your Muff...of course. Sherry kicks in at the 1:10:50 mark. We also welcome Justin Luke, our Gay on the Ground in New York City, back for a second week in a row! Live from the streets of Hell's Kitchen, he chats with B Magazine publisher Peter Ian Cummings. He talks about the magazine's 18-35 year old demographic, standing up for peoples' rights to express their sexuality, how he thinks gay people are fundamentally different than straight people (it's not just who we sleep with, he says), his thoughts on the mainstream press and their coverage of the gays, his rant against smoking and drinking, and much more. It's a fun, slightly controversial conversation we think you'll dig. Justin and Peter start at the 1:26:35 mark. All that, plus all of our signature brand of pop culture & gay news commentary, including Scott & Steve's separate trips to New York City where they saw Broadway's Priscilla Queen of the Desert (see it!); Madonna's tour; Whitney's funeral; our love of actress Kristen Bell; Chris Brown & Rihanna back together; Ricky Martin's Details interview; more about NBC's Smash; and, we announce our newest Twitter winner. Listen to all the fun and you could be a winner, too!
NOTE: This is a reissue of episode 171 with a few edits. If you already listened, you've already listened. Thanks. :) This week, we feature some no-holds-barred, on-the-scene customer reviews of Hell's Kitchen's brand new XL Nightclub, Cabaret & Lounge conducted by our Gay on the Ground in New York City,Justin Luke. Learn why the New Yorker gays are all excited about their nightlife scene again. Also up, our gay etiquette expert Steven Petrow is back for his monthly chat with the Swish Edition. He's got tips about marriage proposals via YouTube, how gifty one should be with a new boyfriend or girlfriend, what a gay couple should do when faced with a less than welcoming hotel, and much more. We love us some Steven! And, finally, Dale, Scott & Steve were thrilled to leave the studio and chat with out singer/songwriter Aiden James backstage after his gig at Washington, DC's Town Danceboutique. This don't-call-him-a-bear cutie has a golden voice and adoring/generous fans who are helping Aiden be able to bring his pop-folk music to the masses. You'll also hear one of his newest tracks, "Best Shot." All that, plus all of our signature brand of pop culture & gay news commentary, including the death of Whitney Houston, the Grammys, FCKH8's new video campaign, Gloria Estefan's new video, One Million Moms hate Ellen, after Matt Bomer (see him below) comes out publicly, actress Katherine Hepburn was a slutty lesbian (allegedly), DC lesbians have a ton of money, CPAC men are really horny (on the DL), and we announce our Twitter winner. Listen to all the fun and you could be a winner, too!
How do you sum up a gay cruise for the uninitiated? For Swish Edition's Dale, Scott & Steve, our first Atlantis cruise disproved many of the preconceptions we brought onboard. Yes, “floating bathhouse” was at the top of all our lists, too. But when you get 5,000 gay guys (and a whopping 78 chicks) on the largest cruise ship in the world, surrounded by miles of water, 22 bars and all-night theme parties, hyper-gayness is bound to boil over. But it's not like hairless, chiseled 20-something models were screwing on the poop deck for all to see 24 hours a day. It's bacchanalian, sure, but not a balls-to-the-wall, free-for-all orgy at sea. Last week's cruise on Royal Caribbean's Allure of the Seas sailed from Ft. Lauderdale on a 7-night itinerary that included ports of call in Labadee, Haiti and Costa Maya & Cozumel in Mexico. And despite the unfortunate (and according to official reports, self-inflicted) tragedy of a fellow passenger going overboard—and a medical “Alpha Alpha Alpha” here and there—fun was had by most everyone onboard. We were most pleasantly surprised to find that the passenger roster included every walk of gay life (and a handful of straights) from the requisite hairless twinkie boys to the fully adorned leather daddies. From sweet (looking) grandfatherly types to the random flamboyant queen with a man-purse. Average Joe couples to swingin' singles. And of course those 78 women, including a fair number of lesbians and a random fag hag. Atlantis welcomes a diverse cross-section, typically not portrayed in carefully crafted marketing photos. Sure, we understand marketing, so we're not blaming them for pushing the sexy, but please know that if you've got a little bit of a belly, and you're not manscaped to the hilt, you'll still fit in just fine. As long as you like to party. The floating cocktail party happens around the clock with dances under the stars most late nights featuring the hottest deejays on the high seas (with themes like “Mardi Glow” and the classic “White Party”); the rousing, costumed afternoon t-dances in the Aqua Theater (gotta give them fun titles, too, like “Over The Rainbow” and “Dog Tag”); smaller-venue events with themes catering to lovers of 90's music, bears, and leather; mixers for singles; a pre-dinner party for couples; a place for women to be women; and so on. Our favorite part at all the parties was people watching…hands down (or should I say, pants down?). When past cruisers told us that many pack an extra suitcase just for costumes, they weren't kidding. Since everything is themed and advertised in advance, there's ample time before embarkation to shop for rainbow striped jockstraps and matching knee-high socks, full Storm Trooper outfits, an entire leather get-up, outfits that glow in the dark, full military dress uniforms, elaborate headdresses…the list goes on and on. (We'd love to show you photos, but Atlantis keeps passengers' privacy a high priority. Another reason you've got to go see for yourself!) Of course, if a tired body wanted to escape the pounding beats and wild soirees, it was easy to slip into the Champagne & Martini or The Rising Tide bars for a quiet cocktail, conversation with a new friend or two, and the aforementioned people watching. Entertainment? We certainly weren't at a loss for options. To name just a few, Broadway and “Glee” star Idina Menzel packed the house with her booming voice and hilarious banter. Miss Richfield 1981 and Dixie Longate brought the props for their classic shows. The Allure cast staged an amazing high dive show as well as a pared down version of the musical “Chicago.” Cuties Travis Wall & Nick Lazzarini from TV's “So You Think You Can Dance” fame taught the cruisers how to move. And a gaggle of comedians like Alec Mapa, Erin Foley and Bruce Vilanch kept the laughs coming. “It's mostly bottoms that come to our shows, so they are very receptive,” another comedian, New York City-based Chris Doucette, explained. Royal Caribbean is known for their food and from extensive buffets, 6-course specialty restaurants, a Mexican cantina, a Johnny Rockets, the traditional dining room, and about a dozen other options available around the clock, the largest gym at sea certainly saw its share of guys working hard to keep the pounds off. A massive spa offered up Botox, acupuncture, massage and haircuts. The ship's shopping boutiques were all transformed to appeal to the gay demographic. The casino was made mostly non-smoking for the health conscious. And the very highest level of the pool deck was made over into a clothing optional oasis for the so inclined. And the only way I can truly sum it up is to say that there is absolutely something for everyone on a gay cruise, so if you've been apprehensive, rest assured, you'll have a blast, feel comfortable in your skin, eat like a king, be entertained constantly, meet new friends from around the globe, and you'll get lucky, too, if that's your thing. We certainly enjoyed our working vacation and thank Atlantis for including our talk show as an official part of the voyage*. You can hear the segments we recorded in the Allure's On Air Club below, including some of our stories from the cruise (an old dude secretly photographed Scott, another tried to offer Dale a cash tip, and Steve may have found “Love in a Hopeless Place”) plus our hilarious chats with comedians Jim David, Chris Doucette, Alec Mapa & Erin Foley as well as Travis Wall & Nick Lazzarini from TV's So You Think You Can Dance. Get ready to laugh, because a comic's perception of gay cruisin' will have you in stitches.
You'll laugh your butt off when the first lady of the Tupperware party stops by for a spell. Dixie Longate tells us how she got into selling plastic as a condition of getting her kids back after a stint in prison, why Tupperware's cupcake holder makes a much better Jello® Shooter caddy, why she's upset her lazy three year old won't go out and get a job, how she got off her knees long enough to do a show Off-Broadway, all about her upcoming six weeks in Australia (she's scared, because they don't speak English there, ya know), and how alcohol makes people open their wallets (among other things). Dixie also tells us about what she's packing for the Atlantis cruise that starts this coming Sunday...including a surprising extra, her John Deere Snuggie®. She's planning to host a Snuggie® Pub Crawl with the cruise director and her special fans onboard the Allure of the Seas. Yup, we're gonna get photos of that for you, because we're sure we all have the see it to believe it! Dale, Scott & Steve also discuss: Why the number 115 is so very important to the show this week; Dale digs actor Jason Mewes' full-frontal pictures; Marriage equality may come to Washington & Maryland, but not New Jersey; "Blissfully married" Heidi Klum & Seal to divorce (huh?); Actress Cynthia Nixon says that she thinks it's okay to CHOOSE to be gay; Drunk guys videotape themselves using Grindr; Is THAT Dale naked and gagged? (see photo below); Nick & Travis from So You Think You Can Dance are planning a flashmob...the video with the choreography is below (watch it if you're cursing with us next week); NPH on the cover of Out Magazine; Joan Rivers does pot in a cul de sac; Guys With iPhones becomes Guys With Fries; NBC's upcoming new show Smash WILL be a smash hit, we predict; Katy Perry retools her Teenage Dream album for a March release; MORE "Shit Say" videos--a few funny ones are still in the bunch; and, Much gay hilarity!
We love to support gay business and continue our tradition of championing the ones that are getting it right. And we love when people come see us in the studio. And when that guy happens to be the co-founder and CEO of the hottest brands of fetish wear and related products on the scene--Nasty Pig--we're over the moon. David Lauterstein was in Washington, DC for the annual Mid-Atlantic Leather weekend and he took time out of his busy schedule to hang with Dale, Scott & Steve over a few beers. This guy started with a closet-sized store front in Manhattan, a sewing machine and a measly $50, and over the course of 17 years, has created quite a juggernaut. David shares stories about products that took off; how their super hot new jeans model got the job (see him below...and, um, to our dismay, he's straight!); his absolute commitment to high-quality products and construction; and, his definition of what his brand is really all about: "A nasty pig is a man who walks the street owning it." Need a jockstrap? Play sheets? Leather pants? Or some kick-ass jeans? Nasty Pig's got it. And, sure, we're doing a commercial, but when we love something, we love to share! Dale, Scott & Steve also discuss: Their adventures at Mid-Atlantic Leather last weekend (see the pics below); Steve's trip to Atlantic City to see Kelly Clarkson; Scott goes to see Sherry Vine and Peppermint perform; Cyndi Lauper isn't happy with the use of "True Colors" for political reasons; A bitter Elton John & David Furnish rip into Madonna; Did Jodie Foster get outed because of her beaver?; Funny gal Aisha Tyler speaks out about same-sex marriage; ABC cancels the controversial Work It; One of Costa's ships sinks in Italy--are we scared?; Calvin Klein's on-again, off-again super hot 21 year old boy toy (see him below); and, Much more gay hilarity!
This week, we're thrilled to welcome the hilarious comedy stylings of America's Gaysian Sweetheart, Alec Mapa, to the Swish Edition! This new dad talks to us from his kitchen while making turkey meatloaf for his son and he tells us all what to expect on the big gay cruise later this month; gives his recommendations for what to pack (i.e. condoms, lube and over-the-top, elaborate costumes!); why he misses the lovely cast of Ugly Betty; how parenting has completely changed his life (his 6 year old is a straight black kid who is obsessed with boobs, mind you); and all about his upcoming New York City show, Alec Mapa: Baby Daddy. And if the boys weren't excited enough to speak with Alec via Skype from his home in Los Angeles, they'll be tickled pink when they get to meet one of their favorite funny men onboard Atlantis' Allure of the Seas cruise later this month, on which Alec is a featured performer. Can't wait! Also on this episode, we bring you the music of singer, songwriter, actor and activist, Justin Utley. Not only do we have two of his freshest tracks--"Nothing This Real" and "Great Escape"--but we've got a Skype chat with Justin all about being an ex-Mormon, his quest for federal protections and equality for LGBT people, composing for films, his love of the stage, and his unique blended sound that he best describes as alt-country-rock. Justin is a great guy and his infectious music might stick with you for awhile. Dale, Scott & Steve also have the low-down on: Beyonce & JayZ's new baby Blue Ivy; Mario Lopez's new underwear line; The Advocate's Gayest Cities in America list; The fact that knowingly giving someone HIV can be punishable with jail time; Newt Gingrich and his attack on the media; New Jersey and gay marriage; The FBI's new definition of rape; The new gay boy magazine "B" hits newsstands; The "Shit Girls Say" video craze; Kristy McNichol comes out; Kathy Griffin returns to Bravo with a new kind of show; and, Mid-Atlantic Leather is coming to DC!
It's the holiday season, the first day of Winter, the last show of 2011, and a time for all of us to once again be thankful we've found each other! For our holiday special, Dale, Scott & Steve welcome back to the show, our Gay On The Ground in New York City, the author, the blogger, the nightlife promoter, JUSTIN LUKE. Justin has his top picks for what to do in Manhattan at Christmas time, he's got the low-down on New Year's Eve (skip Times Square, for one), he tells you what NOT TO MISS on Broadway, and so very much more. We love chatting with Justin, and we think you'll get a kick out of it, too. We also feature a short chat with three contestants from Season 3 of RuPaul's Drag Race, YARA SOFIA, ALEXIS MATEO & MARIAH BALENCIAGA. Your hosts ran into the girls at Freddie's Beach Bar just before they took to the stage for a fierce holiday performance. We were in the dressing room with them and they held nothing back! This week's topics also include: Winter has officially begun Dale gets a Brown gift Jon Bon Jovi & Lil Kim are not dead Underwear now has a pocket up front Pantone picks their color pick for 2012 ABC's new Work It sit-com, funny or offensive? An X-Factor host gets the boot 2011's Most-Googled Gays & Lesbians Glee kids work for the Salvation Army There's a new AbFab clip about the Kardasians Daniel Craig may beat Roger Moore's Bond record Chaz Bono gets unengaged Our LAST Christmas movie pick of the year And much more Christmas hilarity! This week's show is once again brought to you by Atlantis Events' January 29, 2012 Caribbean cruise. (You ARE going to come sail with us, right?!)
Say it isn't so! Christmas is just 24 days away? We haven't even made out our lists for Santa yet. And while we're not exactly in the holiday spirit quite yet, we're doing our best to be merry. And that's not too hard when Dale, Scott & Steve get together in the studio for some fun. On this first episode of December, we talk about our Thanksgiving trips; shopping on Black Friday; Dale's ass (again); Steve's deep dark tan; Nasty Pig's new jeans commercial (um, will ya just look at the photo of their model to the right; we'll take that, Santa Claus); GetUp!'s tear-worthy new viral video; Pat Robertson and macaroni & cheese; we're watching George Michael's health; and, we'll tell you why you shouldn't be giving money to the Salvation Army's annoying bell ringers. Oh, and did we mention that Steve got an out-of-this-world offer you've just GOT to hear for yourself. Dale & Scott were left with their chins on the floor. Nearly literally. We've got Kevin Keller's interracial marriage; Dale & Scott prepare for their trip to Hollywood next week to cover the Trevor Live event; we've got our next pick for the best holiday movies ever; and, much more news and gay hilarity. And because we can't do it all on our own, we're thrilled to welcome gay etiquette expert & noted author STEVEN PETROW back on the show with some really useful tips and hints for all of our gay brothers and sisters this holiday season. Steven is a columnist for the Advocate.com and he's got a book we know that you'll love:
How did it get to be Thanksgiving time already? Time sure flies when you're making gay comedy magic! This week, the show is out a day early with a jam packed (if not slightly hot; Scott had the miss up a bit too high) new episode. First up, the boys break down Sunday night's American Music Awards; they discuss Tori Spelling's boobs on Twitter; marvel at Arnold Schwartzeneggar's hot son Patrick; Steve and Scott tell ya how their personal trainers are trying to KILL them; and, they tell you why Lady Gaga is being honored at next month's Trevor Live event. Then, Dale, Scott & Steve welcome INAYA DAY to the show. She's a world-renown, chart topping dance and house singer/songwriter who also dabbles in funk, R&B, gospel, musical theater and jazz. Besides her own classics like "Nasty Girl" and "Keep Pushin'," this lady pens tunes for countless others, she's started her own record company, and she's in two very active bands. She lives and breathes all kinds of great music, and it shows. You'll dig our extended chat with this very friendly first lady of the dance floor. But after that, we have another queen for you! That's right, our favorite NYC drag superstar is back and with the boys LIVE in the new studio. SHERRY VINE spills the beans on her new television variety show for HERE-TV called "She's Living For This"--we can't wait for it to debut in February--and behind the scenes secrets about how she writes her hits and what her parents think when they accidentally Google her! Funny stuff. Of course the boys also continue their Christmas and Atlantis Cruise countdowns; Dale shares with you his favorite holiday movie; and, back to Gaga again to discuss her very out-of-the-box Thanksgiving special. Episode 160 is called, "Turkey Time," because it's our Thanksgiving episode, y'all. This week's show is brought to you by AdamMale.com (use the offer code "SWISH" for 50% off any item, free shipping and three free DVD's) and Atlantis Events' January 29, 2012 Caribbean cruise.
Dale, Scott & Steve are back after a week off (their first of 2011!) and they welcome DJ Keith Hoffman to the sit in with them in the new studio. Keith shares news about what's hot on the dance floor these days and talks about the radio shows he produces around the globe. Scott monopolizes a lot of the beginning of the show with his tales from his seven days at sea on a straight cruise in preparation for the big gay cruise in January. Also on this conversational show, the boys talk about and play a sample of Madonna's leaked new single "Give Me All Your Love;" they dissect rapper Little B's "I Got AIDS" track; tell you why they think Jesus is not too happy with the "Jersey Shore" line of Christmas ornaments; why they're upset that Toronto's gay penguins are being seperated; they think it's ironic that Fire Island is on fire (although they fully realize that they're not using 'ironic' correctly); Dale & Scott get excited for their big trip to Los Angeles and the Trevor Live event; and, duel countdowns begin for Christmas and the January 29th cruise on Atlantis. Whew. That's a lot. And there's more! They're talking about their favorite Christmas movies, Steve & Scott have hired a personal trainer to help them get bathing-suit-ready, and they read the Maverick Men's Commandments. Episode 159 is called, "The Countdown Begins," because the clock is ticking. Listen with your mom. She'll love it!
Recorded in the brand new Swish Edition studios (the "secret underground studio" no more...the boys are finally outside of Scott's basement, it can now be revealed), this episode features the return of out pop singer MATT ZARLEY to the program. He brings to us his hot new single, "Perfect," as well as a remix of his fun "What The Fuck" track. He tells us about his new record label, his L.A. listening party hosted by Instinct Magazine on November 8, and what's been happening in his life since we last chatted in early June. We love Matt and we think you'll dig his catchy tunes and his love for giving back. Also on this episode, Dale, Scott & Steve break down their weekend, which included the soggy and bone chilling AIDS Walk Washington event, a rather eventful Halloween party, and a trip to Red Lobster. They discuss Kim Kardashian's slap-in-the-face-to-all-gay-people 72 day marriage, doctors' recommending that kids as young as 16 start getting HIV tests, the world welcomes the 7 billionth person (that's a lot of gays!), the scariest movies of all time, old gays have no where to live, and much more. Episode 158 is called, "Underground No More," because it's true. Listen with a friend...naked, of course.
It's the very last episode taped in the Secret Underground Studio...and Dale missed it because he's on vacation in sunny Florida this week (more on that later). So, Scott & Steve, having to fill the gap, welcome nationally known singer/songwriter TOM GOSS and performer/actor JEFFREY JOHNSON to the basement to entertain us. The boys play two songs LIVE in the studio (a first!), arranged just for the Swish Edition as a lead up to their "Under The Covers" pair of weekend shows at DC's Black Fox Lounge. You'll dig "Lover" and "Love the One You're With." And because we're all about the music this week, we're thrilled to have another SHERRY VINE parody for ya. This is Lady Gaga's "Americano" like only Sherry could dream up. It's a little dirty, but that's why we love her. And if you are in the New York City area this coming Sunday, October 23, head to Barracuda Lounge at 11:00pm for 2-4-1 drink specials then the premiere of two brand new Sherry videos at midnight! Plus we have our regular gay-themed discussions. This week's topics include: Scott & Tom's adventures in back rooms; straight weddings galore; major comic book series add gay characters; Grindr changing the face of gay sex; actor Zachary Quinto comes out, as well as an ABC anchor; Justin Bieber releases Christmas music in October (66 days too early, we believe); we remind you to mark your calendar for our "25th Annual High Heel Race" LIVE video coverage; we found MORE dirty stuff that our friends wrote online; a new study reports that we're all basically whores and that bottom doesn't hurt; and, much gay hilarity! Warning: Scott may or may not have had a bit too much vodka during this taping. Listen with us as his speech gets more slurred as we go along. Fun stuff. Episode 156 is called, "Music Men," but it also features one of our favorite ladies, the lovely Sherry Vine.
This National Coming Out Week, we welcome someone to the studio who is VERY out, porn actor, director & producer JASON SPARKS. Scott & Steve got all the news and dirt from one of the most prolific webcammers out there (for the free advertising), learn how he travels the country searching for his models (nothing like taking an in-person test drive), and what's hot in the porn world right now (bareback isn't cool and fetish is hotter than ever). Jason stopped in just before he moved on up the coast to New York's famed Hustlaball and we're thrilled he made some time for us. Also this week, we've got two tracks from queer / folk / Americana group, HUMBLE TRIPE and a conversation with their mastermind / songwriter, SHAWN LUBY. This Durham, North Carolina-based group has a very unique sound, weaving stories and emotions into their organic tunes. Nope, it's not your everyday gay pop or dance...which is why we love it. Ya know, introducing you to some culture, people! We think you'll dig Washington and Carnival, two of the groups songs that follow our chat. (BTW, in case you missed it, we had a Swish Extra minisode out this past Tuesday, October 11, in honor of National Coming Out Day. It features a chat with the delightful STEVEN PETROW all about the Dos and Don'ts of coming out. It's definitely worth a listen.) And Dale, Scott & Steve chat about Bieber's haircut ruining a toymaker's bottom-line; they repeat dirty things they read online (and in the process most definitely coined a new phrase); tell you the 18 rules of using Grindr; recommend a new Las Vegas app; threaten you with bodily harm if you don't watch their LIVE video episode on October 25; discuss Cher turning out for son Chaz at DWTS last Monday; explain why oral sex might be as bad for you as smoking; get excited about Roseanne's new sitcom; question Lance Bass' new boy band creation; plus, they give ya more information about their AIDS Walk Washington team and the Atlantis Event's Caribbean cruise they're going on (yup, they're gonna talk about that a lot). Episode 155 is called, "Queer Folk," and it's ready for you whether you're out or not.
This week, Dale, Scott & Steve take a little pressure off Justin and do an interview on their own from the Underground Studio! They called famed celebrity & fashion photographer and reality TV star MIKE RUIZ to get all the skinny on his hot new coffee table book (due October 12). They guys also get Mike to open up about his cute father, why he thinks they added straight girl Nyasha to the A-List: New York this season, his transition from still photographer to hot video director (and back), some behind-the-scenes info about Kathy Griffin, and much more. OH! And he drops a BIG BOMB that will affect the third season of A-List! You have to listen to find out what that is. Also on this episode, the guys have a HUGE announcement: They have been invited to tape the show onboard Atlantis' Allure of the Seas cruise to the Caribbean next January! Details will be available very soon on how YOU can come, too! Other topics include...a celebrity lesbian gets kicked off a Southwest Airlines flight for kissing her GF (or was it for making a fuss?); we break down more of the Fall TV season; Scott gets ALL his hair waxed off for the Miss Adams Morgan Pageant; Steve is going to see Obama!; Facebook & Apple steal the limelight; the Millionaire Matchmaker can't seem to say anything nice; the hosts take the Android "Is My Son Gay" app quiz; and another hottie actor comes out of the closet. All that, and Dale does dirty things at a charity event! Episode 153 is called, "Wax On Wax Off," in honor of Scott's first chest waxing, which he is NEVER doing again.
This week we've got Twinks.com's Twink of the Year...SETH KNIGHT. He joins us in-studio and talks about how he got started in porn earlier this year, his thoughts on his fellow porn stars, who he'd Fuck, Marry or Kill, and what his boyfriend thinks about his wanting to move into dungeon and gang bang scenes. Yup, we said it. This interview is just a taaaaad dirty. But you'll dig this twinkie 20-year old. Also on this packed episode, we have a new song from out 21-year old up and coming pop star, TRISTAN SCHACK. His Got Me Crazy song is our new music feature. (That's Tristan below...and see more at the bottom of this post.) And what would episode 149 be without a chat with our favorite parody queen, SHERRY VINE? Scott chats with her about how he slept through her DC performance (well, it's not as bas as that sounds), her plans to make a video with Margaret Cho, and we've got the new remix of her original, Looking For a Good Time. Whew. But, as always, before all of that, the boys hosts talk about... 15 bottles of champagne and a 9" dick; Dale can milk his cow in 40 seconds; Steve is packing for New Orleans' Southern Decadence as we speak; The shit show that was this year's VMAs, including: Gaga going too far, Bieber the douche, Beyonce steals the show with her baby news, and Tyler the Creator says 'faggot' 213 times on his freshman album; Absolutely Fabulous is filming a Christmas special RIGHT NOW in London; Scott & Steve go on a late-night date; The Foo Fighters get naked and gay in a rest stop shower; ABC announces the new Dancing with the Stars cast, including their first trans person; Bisexuals really do exist; Don't thank God, thank Gaga...Lady Gaga severs ties with Target; and, Designer vagina! Episode 149 is called, "It Hurts and It Hits." Or at least it better.
Last weekend, we took the Swish Mobile Studio to the Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania for CAMP 2011 and we've brought you all the gays-in-the-woods craziness on this very special on-location episode. After the boys share some juicy tales from the scene (there's a list below) we chat with Camp 2011 organizer JAMES TATE. He runs down all the weekend events and offers up a bit of behind the scenes 411, too. His segment kicks in at the 23:35 mark. Next up, DJ ESCAPE stopped by to chat with Scott, Dale & Steve while our own DJ Jason Royce was busy warming up the campers over at the party tent. Escape--who is straight--is one of the top deejays and remixers in the world and a favorite at gay clubs from New York to Ibiza. He chats about his personal style, his favorite artists on the scene now and tells us how he got started spinning in the first place. Hear Escape at the 31:45 mark. Immediately after that, the crew welcomed Cole & Hunter from MAVERICK MEN fame to our RV parked just a few steps from all the fun. Cole & Hunter were recently voted the #1 couple on XTube.com and they've had over 90,000,000 views! Their homemade brand of erotic gay videos are some of the hottest the Swishers have found online and the guys bowed down in their presence. Cole & Hunter couldn't have been more friendly and candid as Scott & Steve chatted with them over beers about how they find their guest stars, about their book, and so much more. The Maverick Men start at the 44:20 mark. Also on this Camp 2011 episode... We'll tell you what happens when seven fags and a black woman show up for lunch with the after-church crowd of local Pennsylvania mountains townspeople; Mud: Our shoes and flip-flops will never be the same; Twinks running wild? Yes...oh yes; We got a kick out of watching naked twinks slip and slide and end up in a giant puddle of mud; Naked and cockringed "perms" just go about their business...and keep cute, funky compounds; Scott & Steve go on a late-night date; We saw some hot and heavy sex lakeside in the broad daylight; Shenanigans in CODE's Playhouse barn; Scott embarrasses himself--and upsets the locals--when he mistakes a "come here" gesture from a major porn star as a wave hello; and, Rubber Buckets! Episode 148 is called, "Tales from Gay Camp aka All Dicked Out." Simple as that, people.
It's a very special mega-episode, recorded on-location in Las Vegas at the fabulously over-the-top Encore Beach Club at the Wynn / Encore resort property. Thanks to our gracious hosts at the Wynn / Encore, Dale & Scott--along with their increasingly present sidekick Steven J. Walker--took Las Vegas by storm, and were thrilled to welcome some very exciting guests to their make-shift studio at the Beach Club's Bungalow #1. The episode is SOOO big, we separated it into two files. Check out this, Episode 125_1 first, then listen to Episode 125_2, which is called Sin City Part Two.First up, Dale, Scott & Steve's #1 fag hag Elaine Feehrer stops by for the opening banter. She's an absolute hoot and one of the guys' best buddies. Together, the foursome talks about their four days in Las Vegas and all the relevant news and gossip of the day, natch.Next up, Hal Sparks stops by for a chat that ranges from his progressive radio shows; his take on politics including DOMA, DADT and much more; his rock band "Zero1;" his work as Michael on "Queer As Folk" (including some great insider secrets); and, his standup comedy. This is the gay guy's best straight ally, folks, and Dale & Scott couldn't have been more pleased to welcome a guest to the show. He's brilliant, multi-talented, and a very good sport. You'll love this poolside conversation.Don't forget the check out Part Two!
For the second time in February, Steven J. Walker is back in-studio for our conversation with Eric Bogs, the publisher of the soon-to-be revived XY Magazine. The popular celebration of beautiful gay youth will be back better than ever, later in 2011 (the chat starts at the 47:20 mark). We also talk for the first time to Metro Weekly magazine co-publisher and editor-in-chief Randy Shulman for his take on this Sunday's Oscars as well as his magazine's second annual "25 Gay Films Everyone Should See" (listen at the 30:40 mark). You might be surprised what made (and what didn't make) their list.Other Episode 122 topics: Steve is getting his wisdom teeth out; Dale, Scott & Steve dance and watch girls do dirty things to each other; Justin Bieber gets a haircut and comes out as a little Republican; a Mexican brewery is marketing a new beer to the gays; Glee's Darren Criss comes out as straight (and shows off his hot hairy chest!); Facebook gets a little gayer; a 10 year-old covers Gaga and gets herself a record deal and a spot on Ellen; and, the boys play a new in-studio game: "Fuck, Marry, Kill."All that and the boys announce the winner of the first of three Brent Everett Fleshjacks that they're giving away. And don't forget the news, from MW's Sean Bugg (he's at the 60:06 mark).Oh, and we remind you that we're co-hosting "Come Dancing" at Batimore, Maryland's Hippo nightclub Saturday, February 26, where our own Jason Royce will be spinning the hottest dance hits and the pretty boys from Nitecamp will be performing. Come get one of our brand new trick cards!Episode 122 is called, "The Return of XY," and it's gay hilarity x10. We dare you to enjoy it with your favorite Fleshjack toy.
