In retaliation for the December 29th attack, yesterday Russia fired a hypersonic Oreshnik missile and counterattack drones directly into the heart of Kiev, Ukraine. The use of the Oreshnik missile comes just hours after Russian President Putin asserted publicly that Ukraine, Europe and NATO have no defenses against the hypersonics. No rate limit exists, but it requires an investigation and findings, which could target specific countries like China.  Section 122 of the Trade Act of 1974: This enables temporary import surcharges of up to 15% (or quotas) for up to 150 days to address “large and serious” balance-of-payments deficits. It’s seen as a quick interim option while longer-term measures are pursued, but extensions need congressional approval.  Section 201 of the Trade Act of 1974: Known as “safeguard” measures, this authorizes tariffs if surging imports are causing or threatening serious injury to domestic industries. U.S. Trade Deficit Drops 40% in Latest Commerce Dept Report  As you review this latest data on trade, remember any drop in trade deficits has two big picture functions: First, lower trade deficits generally mean the accompanying GDP release will be stronger than anticipated because imported products are a deduction from the valuation of all goods and services created in the U.S. economy.  Lower imports mean less is deducted. Secondly, and perhaps most importantly, a drop in the trade deficit created by diminished imports means more wealth remains inside the USA. We are not spending, sending money overseas, to import foreign goods at the same rate, and that money stays inside the U.S. economy. More wealth inside the U.S. provides the fuel for expanded domestic growth, more investment gains in USA manufacturing and USA industry and the ability to pay higher USA wages. The Commerce Department is reporting today that the U.S. trade deficit for October 2025 dropped to the smallest amount in 16-years.  A significant amount of the deficit drop was because a high value of physical precious metals (gold/silver) was exported, simultaneous with big offshore pharmaceutical companies dropping the prices of imported products (policy and tariff pressure).   Some may question whether internal consumer demand has declined, causing the significant drop in imports.  However, the U.S productivity rate is still very high – which generally means domestic consumer demand is still high and all units produced have a lower overall cost per unit. Economic analysis can get weedy…. so, a simple way to look at productivity is to think about baking bread in your kitchen. Daily Stormer and other racist websites raised money for his defense. Fox News' Tucker Carlson inaccurately described Mackey as a “conservative journalist” on his show in January 2021. Following Carlson's segment, an anonymous person dropped $60,000 to Mackey in Bitcoin, buoying his defense, as Hatewatch previously reported."Microchip" interviewed by Jack PosobiecJack Posobiec, a correspondent for One America News Network (OANN), brought a pseudonymous disinformation poster onto the air without providing context of that person's hateful and terroristic beliefs, Hatewatch found.Posobiec produced a segment for OANN in September 2018 in which he interviewed “Microchip,” who was at that time a pseudonymous contributor to the white-supremacist-friendly website Gab. Microchip achieved notoriety during Trump's 2016 run for president for his involvement in a number of high-profile disinformation campaigns. Posobiec also linked his Twitter followers to Microchip's Gab feed at least five times after the interview was aired, archives show. Microchip posted statements to Gab prior to being interviewed on OANN that celebrated Hitler, and alluded to terrorism and murder.Wall Street Journal - TikTok tracking pixels present in government websitesA review of the websites of more than 3,500 companies, organizations and government entities by the Toronto-based company Feroot Security found that so-called tracking pixels from the TikTok parent company were present in 30 U.S. state-government websites across 27 states, including some where the app has been banned from state networks and devices. Videos garnered millions of views claiming that on April 24, 2021, large groups of men planned to sexually assault women en masse. Now, the same hoax is reemerging on the very same social media platform, which seems unable or unwilling to curtail the spread of viral misinformation.While the “National Rape Day” hoax had been previously floating around the collective consciousness as an urban legend, it found new levels of virality through TikTok's recommendation algorithm in 2021. The earliest mention of “National Rape Day” on social media that Media Matters could identify was a tweet from April 11, 2021, that read, “Please if you are in the uk, be safe, the boys have made a ‘national rape' day and that's tomorrow.” A screenshot of the tweet was circulating on 4chan's /pol message board the next day.It seems that shortly after this tweet, the hoax started to spread on TikTok, where it went viral. At the time, a Media Matters study found that 48 of the top 50 TikTok videos under the “#April24” hashtag contained misinformation and none of the videos provided a debunk or any factual information. The hoax gained further legitimacy through poor media coverage, which amplified the panic, as well as participation in the trend from some members of law enforcement on TikTok.TikTok's algorithm leads users from transphobic videos to far-right rabbit holes - Media MattersSeveral of the videos fed to our FYP featured audio called “Teddy” which says, “The industrial revolution and its consequences have been a disaster for the human race,” a quote taken from the first line of “Unabomber” Ted Kaczynski's manifesto, “Industrial Society and Its Future.” Kaczynski killed three people and injured 23 others in 1978 with homemade bombs. The audio, which already has been used in over 1,200 unique videos, has become popular on right-wing TikTok and particularly in anti-LGBTQ content, based on the frequency with which it emerged during our study. In the videos we reviewed, it was frequently paired with montages of screenshots of LGBTQ people livestreaming on TikTok. The tweet of the week came from GoThoughtLeader which stated: “Those who are angry about the loan forgiveness because they have already paid theirs off are like the day workers in Jesus' parable who are angry that the master paid the same amount to the laborers who showed up later in the day. #debtforgiveness #Forgiveness” Now, to be clear, this is a parody account, but he fooled some people, because it sounds so big eva. The point I want to drive home is that Big Eva will only address issues that the liberals give them permission to address, like climate change, immigration, or student loan forgiveness. This is why big eva went silent during the pandemic. This is why big eva whispers about RoeVWade being overturned. This is why big eva refuses to say anything that actually might set liberals off. But we want to be antifragile Chrisitans. The kind of Chrisitans that do not care what man thinks of us, and the kind of Christians that will say exactly what God wants us to say, in season and out of season. Our culture is full of cancer, and this cancer is impacting our classrooms, our politicians, our churches, our businesses and big eva will not stand up and fight against this cancer. Well, this past week, The National Association of Evangelicals came out with a report titled: “Loving the Least of These: Addressing a Changing Environment” and the goal of this study is to highlight how climate change will have the greatest impacts on those in poverty. Never mind what the pandemic did to the poor, no, big eva has to join with Greta Thunberg and speak against big Chrisitan families who own suburbans. Big Eva is in trouble, in trouble like Biden’s economy is in trouble. Biden’s economy is inflated with all the helium reserves of government school economics and Big Eva fog machines are running out. The tweet of the week came from GoThoughtLeader which stated: “Those who are angry about the loan forgiveness because they have already paid theirs off are like the day workers in Jesus' parable who are angry that the master paid the same amount to the laborers who showed up later in the day. #debtforgiveness #Forgiveness” Now, to be clear, this is a parody account, but he fooled some people, because it sounds so big eva. The point I want to drive home is that Big Eva will only address issues that the liberals give them permission to address, like climate change, immigration, or student loan forgiveness. This is why big eva went silent during the pandemic. This is why big eva whispers about RoeVWade being overturned. This is why big eva refuses to say anything that actually might set liberals off. But we want to be antifragile Chrisitans. The kind of Chrisitans that do not care what man thinks of us, and the kind of Christians that will say exactly what God wants us to say, in season and out of season.
