The incident occurred when Farrell bumped into Navarro and appeared to shout at him. Navarro responded by placing a hand between them, after which Farrell seemed to throw a punch. A crew member intervened to break up the situation. On September 16, the band members—Navarro, bassist Eric Avery, and drummer Stephen Perkins—released a statement citing Farrell's mental health as the reason for canceling the tour: "Due to a continuing pattern of behavior and the mental health difficulties of our singer Perry Farrell, we have no choice but to discontinue the current U.S. tour." The band expressed regret but emphasized concern for everyone's safety and the inability to ensure a quality performance. Refunds will be available at points of purchase or third-party platforms. Farrell's wife, Etty Lau Farrell, detailed the tension leading up to the Boston incident on Instagram, explaining that Perry had been frustrated by the band's volume, which he felt drowned out his voice. Struggling with tinnitus and throat issues, Farrell became upset when the band began playing “Ocean Size” before he was ready, causing him to scream to be heard. Etty also alleged that Avery put Perry in a headlock and punched him before the altercation was broken up. Despite Farrell being seen drinking wine during performances, Etty clarified that alcohol was not a significant factor, noting the wine was mostly for show. This tour marked Navarro's return after missing previous tours due to long COVID, with Troy Van Leeuwen and Josh Klinghoffer filling in during his absence.

Released in 1999, it is the only album from the duo of Bob Forrest and Josh Klinghoffer, who are joined on this album by a myriad of other musicians. One of these musicians is John Frusciante, who in 1999, had returned to the Red Hot Chili Peppers as their guitarist, and who Josh Klinghoffer in turn replaced in 2009. The album comprises 13 tracks on both its 1999 original release and 2001 re-release, but with some omissions and additions, as well as a track re-ordering. Will the boys come and go from this album, or will the bicycle thief instead steal their hearts? Come along and find out!

Welcome back to the channel! Ted Stryker welcomes guitarist, songwriter, and overall good dude, Josh Klinghoffer to the Tuna on Toast Studio. Pluralone, Josh's band, just released another album titled This is the Show.  Josh talks to Stryker about growing up in the Valley (Los Angeles) and listening to Morrissey, Depeche Mode, Guns N' Roses, AC/DC and Motley Crue. Josh tells Stryker how his Mom first signed him up for drums, not guitar. He started having friends (a full band) come over at an early age. At 15 Josh decided to pick up the guitar and learned to play without taking lessons. Josh and Stryker talk about how he is normally the youngest in the groups he plays with. Josh mentions the great Bob Forrest, the band Bicycle Thief and first meeting Bob. Josh tells Stryker about the "bloody battle" he had with his parents about dropping out of school.  Josh's new album is called "This is the Show"! His band is Pluralone. The album was born during the pandemic. Clint Walsh (Dot Hacker) and Josh worked together and found great harmony (both life and musically). Josh also tells Stryker about first meeting Eddie Vedder and working on the album Earthling. Josh talks to Stryker about joining the Red Hot Chili Peppers at 30 years old and spending all of his 30's with them. They had some friends help them out such as Josh Klinghoffer and Richard Stuverud, but the big moment of the night came when Ed asked a simple question: "is there anybody out there who can play drums?" We get to speak with fan fill-in drummer Josh Arroyo about his entire experience living out a dream that would send any Pearl Jam fan to heaven. Josh's story to get to that moment is nothing sort of amazing. From his father taking him to the Oakland Arena for the first time to see Rush on the Moving Pictures tour, the story comes full circle when he steps into the building with his 12-year old daughter to see her first Pearl Jam show. But that wasn't the only special thing to happen that night.
