Episode 329: On October 28, 2022, Paul Pelosi, husband of former U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, was brutally attacked in his San Francisco home. The perpetrator? A 42-year-old Canadian man named David DePape. Born and raised in British Columbia, DePape's journey from a small-town Canadian to an alleged political extremist is a disturbing tale of online radicalization. As we'll explore in this episode, DePape became immersed in far-right conspiracy theories and extremist ideologies, particularly those aligned with QAnon and other conspiratorial narratives. The attack on Paul Pelosi serves as a chilling reminder of how online misinformation and conspiracy theories can lead to real-world violence. We'll examine how DePape's beliefs evolved, the role of social media echo chambers in his radicalization, and the broader implications of this case for Canadian and American society. Join us as we unravel the events leading up to that fateful night in San Francisco and explore the dark undercurrents of extremism that can turn an ordinary Canadian into a violent offender on the international stage. It shocked the nation when David DePape, driven by insane QAnon conspiracy theories, violently attacked Paul Pelosi, husband of former Speaker Nancy Pelosi. A federal judge recently sentenced DePape to 30 years in prison. With that de facto life sentence looming, we uncover a legal twist: the judge's oversight during sentencing denied him the chance to speak in his own defense. Now, a follow-up hearing is in the offing, leaving us wondering—will DePape break his silence, and will the sentence change? More importantly, at sentencing his lawyer reveals that DePape has documented mental health disorders, including Autism Spectrum Disorder. Yes, we're going there -- again. In this episode, we explore the intersection of radicalization and vulnerability, particularly online, among individuals with ASD. Could this condition render them more susceptible to extremist ideologies? #DePapeCase #SetForSentencing #Radicalization #MentalHealth #Autism LINKS: Original DePape Podcast: https://setforsentencing.com/podcast/david-depape-pelosi-attacker-guidelines-mitigation-breakdown/ Alan Ellis - Articles about What Judges Look For At Sentencing: https://alanellis.com/law360-series-sentencing-representation/ For a copy of Judge Bennett's Article, go to shownotes at the Set for Sentencing website: https://setforsentencing.com/podcast/depape-pelosi-at…cing-post-mortem/

David DePape did something terrible, breaking into the San Franscisco home of Nancy and Paul Pelosi, attempting to Kidnap the former Speaker of the House, and savagely attacking her husband with a hammer. He was just convicted in federal court for his crimes, with more to come in state court. He is more than just his crimes. But sadly, the likely truth of DePape's mitigation story has yet to be, and may never be fully told. So let's get set for sentencing with Doug Passon and Mark Allenbaugh! IN THIS EPISODE: Sentencing guidelines discussion; Why DePape faces an almost certain life sentence; DePape's potential incarceration location; The ongoing terrible dysfunction of the Federal Bureau of Prisons; Discussing DePape's possible mental health issues and why they have not yet come into play; The BOP's inadequacy providing mental health (or any health) treatment. LINKS: We talked about data Mark obtain from the Judicial Sentencing INformation database, or "JSIN". We did a podcast on this a while back: https://setforsentencing.com/podcast/jsin-will-judicial-sentencing-information-mutilate-the-stats-or-slash-sentences/ Doug mentioned that the crimes here were very similar to that of the plot to kidnap the govenerner of Michigan (Gretchen Whitmer) and livestream her "trial". The difference here, at least as it comes to defendant Ty Garbin, was that Mr. Garbin came to understood how wrong his beliefs and conduct were, and went to great lengths to atone for his crimes. As such, unlike his co-defendants who went to trial and fought to the bitter end, he received a very lenient sentence. The same fate does not await Mr. DePape, who also is still unfortunately unyeildingly entrenched in his conspiracy theories. If you'd like to see the sentencing mitigation video Doug Passon produced for Mr. Garbin's case, his lawyers made it available here: https://youtu.be/AOhOY3uuvRQ?si=AOxezRfKx-0bYkfX Lastly, Doug mentioned a case involving a client with Delusional Disorder. He litigated that case with an extraordinary attorney by the name of Donna Elm. Donna and Doug did a podcast on this subject a while back. A federal jury has convicted David DePape for crimes related to the hammer attack on Paul Pelosi back in 2022. DePape's attack raised fears about political violence in America. A former Meta senior consultant, Arturo Bejar, says he warned company leaders that Instagram was harmful to teens and young kids. He says he has firsthand experience with his teenage daughter while using the platform. As the community recovers from a deadly mass shooting, Lewiston, Maine celebrates a soccer championship. Luke Broadwater, Leigh McGowan, Stuart Stevens, Renato Mariotti, Bill Carter, Carlos Curbelo, and Frances Haugen join.
An arraignment occurred last year where a man was reprimanded for allegedly assaulting the spouse of former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi inside their opulent residence located in San Francisco. The accused party, David DePape, confessed in court this week to devising a peculiar plan – to don an expandable unicorn outfit before intruding into Pelosi's residence, purportedly to discuss Russia's involvement in the 2016 election, according to news from the New York Post. A visibly emotional DePape confessed during the proceedings that his ultimate plan was to compel prominent figures, including the former Speaker and other identified individuals, to confess to their alleged corruption. He ambitiously hoped to encourage President Joe Biden to grant them all a pardon. However, the execution of this unconventional strategy was thwarted when he discovered Paul in the house, not Nancy. Instead of fulfilling his planned mission, DePape resorted to hitting the 83-year-old man with a hammer during the intrusion incident, dated October 28, 2022. His intended target was not Paul, he claimed in the San Francisco courtroom. David DePape expressed regret over the unintended encounter saying, 'I reacted because my plan was ruined.'See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

On the version of Hot off the Wire posted Nov. 15 at 6:30 a.m. CT: KHAN YOUNIS, Gaza Strip (AP) — Israeli forces are raiding Gaza's largest hospital, where hundreds of patients, including newborns, have been stranded with dwindling supplies and no electricity. Wednesday's raid at Shifa hospital came as the army extended its control across Gaza City and the north. Shifa has become a symbol of the widespread suffering of Palestinian civilians during the war between Israel and Hamas. The hospital is also at the heart of clashing narratives over who is to blame for the thousands of deaths and widespread destruction in the besieged territory. Israel accuses Hamas of using Palestinians as human shields, while Palestinians and rights groups say Israel has recklessly endangered civilians. WASHINGTON (AP) — The House has voted overwhelmingly to prevent a government shutdown. New Republican Speaker Mike Johnson was forced to reach across the aisle to Democrats when hard-right conservatives revolted against his plan. Johnson's proposal to temporarily fund the government into the new year passed on a bipartisan 336-95 tally, with 93 Republicans voting against it. He showed a willingness to leave his right-flank Republicans behind and work with Democrats — the same political move that cost the last House speaker, Kevin McCarthy, his job just weeks ago. Johnson's approach, which the Senate is expected to approve by week's end, effectively pushes a final showdown over government funding to the new year. SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — Presidents Joe Biden and Xi Jinping are heading into their meeting at a country estate in California hoping to stabilize U.S.-China relations after a period of tumult. But the White House says Biden is prepared to confront Xi on difficult issues such as trade, Beijing's burgeoning relationship with Iran and human rights concerns. The leaders last spoke a year ago. Since then, fraught ties between the economic superpowers have been strained by the U.S. downing of a Chinese spy balloon and over differences on the self-ruled island of Taiwan, China's hacking of a Biden official's emails and other incidents. The leaders are in San Francisco on Wednesday for the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation forum. LONDON (AP) — Britain's Supreme Court has ruled that the government's contentious plan to send some migrants on a one-way trip to Rwanda is illegal. Five justices on the country's top court say asylum-seekers would be “at real risk of ill-treatment” because they could be sent back to their home countries once they were in Rwanda. The ruling on Wednesday is a major blow to a key government policy that has drawn international attention and criticism. Britain and Rwanda signed a deal in April 2022 to send some migrants who arrive in the U.K. across the English Channel to the East African country, where their asylum claims would be processed and, if successful, they would stay. Sunak said the ruling “was not the outcome we wanted.” WASHINGTON (AP) — A fight seems to have nearly broken out a congressional hearing. The Tuesday hearing in the Senate devolved into an angry confrontation between Sen. Markwayne Mullin of Oklahoma and International Brotherhood of Teamsters President Sean O'Brien. Mullin challenged the Teamsters leader to “stand your butt up” and settle longstanding differences right there in the room. Committee chairman Sen. Bernie Sanders of Vermont had to yell at Mullin to sit down after he challenged O'Brien to a fight. Mullin and O'Brien never came face to face in the room. But they hurled insults at each other for around six minutes. Georgia is No. 1 in the College Football Playoff Rankings, Manager of the Year awards are dealt in MLB, the Bills fire their offensive coordinator, the Pacers end the Sixers' win streak and Charlie Lindgren leads Washington past Las Vegas. SAN DIEGO (AP) — San Diego Padres owner Peter Seidler has died. He was 63. Seidler poured hundreds of millions of dollars into trying to bring a World Series championship to San Diego. He didn't succeed, despite paying for stars like Manny Machado and Xander Bogaerts. He was a third-generation member of the O'Malley family that used to own the Dodgers. A cause of death wasn't disclosed. Seidler was a two-time cancer survivor. The team announced in mid-September that Seidler had an unspecified medical procedure in August and wouldn't be back at the ballpark the rest of the year. On the version of Hot off the Wire posted Nov. 14 at 4 p.m. CT: JERUSALEM (AP) — Gaza's Shifa Hospital has become the focus of a dayslong stalemate in Israel's war against Hamas. Shifa is Gaza's largest hospital. Israel claims, without providing visual evidence, that Hamas uses the facility for military purposes and has built a vast underground command center below the hospital. Since Israel declared war against Hamas in response to a deadly cross-border attack by the Islamic group on Oct. 7, its forces have moved in on Shifa. But hundreds of doctors and patients remain inside. It remains unclear how and when the standoff will end. SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — David DePape has testified in the federal trial against him over last year's attack against former U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's husband. DePape told jurors Tuesday that he went to the Pelosis' home as part of a larger plan to end corruption in the United States. He has pleaded not guilty to attempted kidnapping of a federal official and assault on the immediate family member of a federal official with intent to retaliate against the official for performance of their duties. Paul Pelosi testified Monday, recounting the attack publicly for the first time. SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — President Joe Biden says his goal for his upcoming meeting with Xi Jinping is to get the U.S.-China relationship on a “normal course.” The president made the comments Tuesday just before departing the White House for San Francisco, where he will meet with Xi and attend a summit of Asia Pacific leaders. Biden's meeting with Xi on Wednesday is the main event of his four-day visit to San Francisco. At the summit itself, he's looking to demonstrate that his administration can focus on the Pacific. That's even as he tries to keep the Israel-Hamas war from exploding into a regional conflict and persuade weary Republican lawmakers to continue funding Ukraine's effort to repel Russia's invasion. WASHINGTON (AP) — Long past its painful peak, inflation in the United States may be heading steadily back toward its pre-pandemic levels, without the need for further interest rate hikes by the Federal Reserve. Such a scenario became more likely, if hardly guaranteed, after Tuesday's surprisingly tame report on consumer prices for October. The data showed a broad-based easing of inflation across most goods and services. The price of gas? Down. Appliances? Down. Autos? Down. Same for airfares, hotel rooms and doctors' fees. Overall inflation didn't rise from September to October, the first time that consumers prices collectively haven't budged from one month to another in more than a year. LONDON (AP) — Police in England have arrested a man on suspicion of manslaughter in the death of American ice hockey player Adam Johnson whose neck was cut by a skate during a game. Johnson, 29, was playing for the Nottingham Panthers against the Sheffield Steelers in an Oct. 28 game when he was struck by an opponent's skate blade. South Yorkshire Police did not name the suspect or provide his age. He was in police custody. The player whose skate cut Johnson's neck was Matt Petgrave, 31, who plays for Sheffield. Johnson was a Minnesota native who had a brief NHL career with the Pittsburgh Penguins. LONDON (AP) — The BBC says two more people have come forward to complain about Russell Brand since the broadcaster launched a review into the actor and comedian's behavior. The BBC was giving an update to its investigation after British media outlets in September published claims by four women that they were sexually assaulted by Brand between 2006 and 2013, at the height of his fame. The 48-year-old denies the allegations. The comedian worked as a BBC radio presenter from 2006 to 2008. The broadcaster said it recorded a total of five complaints against Brand. The BBC news website reported that the latest allegations are “understood to relate to his workplace conduct, and are not of a serious sexual nature.” WASHINGTON (AP) — The House is preparing for a vote to prevent a government shutdown. New Republican Speaker Mike Johnson was forced to reach across the aisle to Democrats when hard-right conservatives revolted against his plan. Johnson was willing to leave his right flank Republicans behind and work with Democrats on Tuesday to keep the government open. It's the same political move that cost Kevin McCarthy, the former House speaker, his job. This time, new Speaker Johnson appears on track for a better outcome. The Senate would act next, ahead of Friday's shutdown deadline. But Johnson is facing the same political problem that led to McCarthy's ouster as hard-right conservatives revolt. That could spell trouble ahead when funding runs out again in January. Home Depot is continuing to see its sales decline amid inflation concerns, and the home improvement retailer narrowed its fiscal 2023 outlook. But its quarterly performance came in above Wall Street's expectations. Home Depot Inc. said Tuesday that its third-quarter revenue fell 3% to $37.71 billion. Still, it managed to beat the $37.52 billion that analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research predicted. U.S. health officials are warning doctors to be on the lookout for possible cases of lead poisoning in children. At least 22 toddlers in 14 states have sickened by lead that's linked to tainted pouches of cinnamon apple puree and applesauce. Cases were reported in children ages 1 to 3 years old. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says at least one child showed a blood lead level eight times higher than the level that raises concern. The illnesses are linked to recalled WanaBana, Schnucks and Weis brand cinnamon applesauce pouches. LAS VEGAS (AP) — New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers says his goal is to return from a torn Achilles tendon by mid-December. That's according to NBC's Melissa Stark, who spoke to Rodgers and reported his comments during the telecast of the Jets' game at Las Vegas. Rodgers had hinted recently he hopes to return before the end of the season, but this is the most specific he has been. He suffered what was thought to be a season-ending injury in the opener against the Buffalo Bills. —The Associated Press About this program Host Terry Lipshetz is a senior producer for Lee Enterprises. On the version of Hot off the Wire posted Nov. 14 at 7 a.m. CT: A major rally will take place Tuesday at the National Mall in Washington in support of Israel. Gaza's largest hospital, Shifa, is surrounded by Israeli troops and the lives of dozens of patients, including newborns, are at risk. The Health Ministry in the Hamas-run territory proposed Tuesday that the facility be evacuated under the supervision of the Red Cross. WASHINGTON (AP) — The last time Congress tried to fund the government to prevent a federal shutdown, it cost House Speaker Kevin McCarthy his job. This time, new Speaker Mike Johnson appears on track for a better outcome. On Tuesday, the House is expected to vote on another stopgap package to keep the government running. If approved, the Senate would act next, ahead of Friday's shutdown deadline. A new international report says the world is off track in its efforts to curb global warming in 41 of 42 important measurements and is even heading in the wrong direction in six crucial ways. Tuesday's report shows the only bright spot is global sales of electric passenger vehicles is now on track to help limit future warming to just another couple tenths of a degree. Study authors say public money spent to create more fossil fuel use is going in the wrong direction and faster than it has in the past. WASHINGTON (AP) — Inflation in the United States likely remained high last month, a trend that if sustained could raise concerns at the Federal Reserve, which is considering whether to raise interest rates again. Still, cheaper gas might have slowed a broad measure of overall inflation in October. Excluding volatile food and energy prices, core inflation is forecast to have risen 0.3% from September to October for a third straight month. Monthly increases at that pace would be too high to meet the Fed's 2% annual inflation target. Economists pay particular attention to core prices, which are believed to provide a good signal of inflation's likely future path. LONDON (AP) — Britain's cybersecurity agency says artificial intelligence poses a threat to the country's next national election. The National Cyber Security Center also says cyberattacks by hostile countries and their proxies are proliferating and getting harder to track. The center said Tuesday in its annual review that “this year has seen the emergence of state-aligned actors as a new cyber threat to critical national infrastructure” such as power, water and internet networks. The center is part of Britain's cyberespionage agency, GCHQ. It said the past year also has seen the emergence of cyberattackers who are "sympathetic to Russia's further invasion of Ukraine and are ideologically, rather than financially, motivated.” Denver knocks off Buffalo on Monday Night Football, the Celtics and Bucks were among key NBA winners, an upset in college basketball, a pair of games in the NHL, and MLB hands out rookie of the year awards. On the version of Hot off the Wire posted Nov. 13 at 4 p.m. CT: Fighting between Israeli forces and Palestinian militants outside Gaza's largest hospital has prompted thousands of people to flee from the medical facility. But health officials said Monday that hundreds of patients and others displaced by the war remained inside. President Joe Biden said Shifa hospital “must be protected” and called for “less intrusive action” by Israeli forces. WASHINGTON (AP) — The new Supreme Court code of conduct agreed to by all nine justices does not appear to impose any significant new requirements on them. The code leaves compliance to the justices themselves and does not create any other means of enforcement. The Supreme Court disclosed the code on Monday, in the face of sustained criticism over undisclosed trips and gifts from wealthy benefactors to some justices. The justices say the code largely represents a codification of principles they've long regarded as governing their conduct. Liberal critics of the court were not satisfied, with one group saying the code “reads a lot more like a friendly suggestion than a binding, enforceable guideline.” SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — Prosecutors are bringing forward law enforcement officials to discuss video that's at the crux of their case against the man accused of attacking former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's husband at the couple's San Francisco home last year. The trial against David DePape is in it's second day. Paul Pelosi is expected to testify. DePape has pleaded not guilty to attempted kidnapping of a federal official and assault on the immediate family member of a federal official with intent to retaliate against the official for performance of their duties. His attorney told jurors last week that she won't dispute that DePape attacked Paul Pelosi, but that the charges don't fit. WASHINGTON (AP) — The White House says Jill Biden will be in charge of a new initiative to boost federal government research into women's health. Women make up more than half the U.S. population but advocates say they remain understudied and underrepresented in health research. The first lady and other officials say the goal of the White House Initiative on Women's Health Research is to fundamentally change the government's approach. The first lady said former California first lady Maria Shriver raised the idea for the initiative during a meeting earlier this year. Jill Biden says she brought the idea to President Joe Biden and he took action. SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — One of the highest ranking leaders of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has died. M. Russell Ballard was 95. Ballard was acting president of a top governing body called the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, the church's second-highest leadership body. He was second in line to the church presidency. A church statement says Ballard died Sunday surrounded by family at his home. Ballard had been a member of the Quorum since 1985. He was the quorum's acting president since 2018. He is survived by his seven children, 43 grandchildren, 105 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) — Exxon Mobil is drilling for lithium in Arkansas and expects to begin production of the critical material for electric vehicles by 2027. Exxon on Monday announced the project and said by 2030 it expects to produce enough lithium to supply the manufacturing needs of more than 1 million electric vehicles. The oil giant in early 2023 acquired the rights to 120,000 gross acres of the Smackover formation in southern Arkansas. The formation is considered one of the most prolific lithium resources of its type in North America. The project comes as the U.S. faces a greater need for lithium sources to meet its clean energy goals. NEW YORK (AP) — Maryanne Trump Barry, a retired federal judge and former president Donald Trump's oldest sister, has died at age 86 at her home in New York. Until her retirement in 2019, Barry was a senior judge on the 3rd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals, a level below the Supreme Court. Trump's campaign did not immediately respond to a request for comment. But the former president's eldest son, Donald Trump Jr. called it “a rough day for myself and my family” after he spent Monday testifying in a civil fraud trial in New York. WASHINGTON (AP) — Secret Service agents protecting President Joe Biden's granddaughter have opened fire after three people tried to break into an unmarked Secret Service vehicle in Washington. That's according to a law enforcement official who spoke to The Associated Press on Monday. It happened late Sunday night in the Georgetown neighborhood. The official says the agents were assigned to protect Naomi Biden when they saw the three people breaking a window of the parked and unoccupied SUV. The Secret Service says one of the agents opened fire but did not strike anyone. Washington has seen a significant rise in the number of carjackings and car thefts this year. Kansas remained at No. 1 in the first Associated Press men's college basketball poll of the season. The Jayhawks received 51 first-place votes from a media panel and were followed by Purdue, Arizona, Marquette and Connecticut. Arizona had the biggest jump from the preseason poll, moving up nine spots after beating No. 9 Duke on the road. Paul Pelosi Attack: David DePape Full Police Interrogation SAN FRANCISCO - David DePape admitted to attacking Paul Pelosi and told San Francisco police that he intended to hold Nancy Pelosi hostage, according to a recording of his interrogation made public Friday. While speaking to a special investigator, DePape, 42, espoused conspiracy theories focused on the Democratic Party and Nancy Pelosi, who at the time was the speaker of the House.Authorities had previously described DePape's statement, including that he wanted to break Nancy Pelosi's kneecaps, shortly after he was arrested at the Pelosis home on Oct. 28. But this is the first time the public can hear DePape's response to the officer's questions. Body camera footage showing DePape apparently assaulting Pelosi, a recording of Pelosi speaking with a 911 operator and surveillance footage showing someone identified as DePape breaking into the Pacific Heights home were all released Friday. In the interrogation, DePape readily admitted to being the attacker and explained in step-by-step detail how he broke into the house. He also espoused his many false beliefs that the Democrats stole the election from Trump. He said he viewed Nancy Pelosi as the biggest of the liars. DePape's voice shows his eagerness to relay what happened in detail, and he gets emotional while talking about some of his unsubstantiated pro-Trump conspiracy theories. Video of David DePape allegedly attacking Paul Pelosi is now available for all to see, including potential jurors. "Neither the DePape defense team or the prosecution wanted this information to be released. It greatly affects Mr. DePape's ability to get a fair trial." said Steven Clark. DePape, called a California Fox local news station from jail on Friday and made bizarre and chilling statements that he called an "important message." On the call, DePape said "you're welcome" for the Paul Pelosi attack. The saga of the almost $2-million bathroom in San Francisco looks like it is coming to an end. The public restroom at the Noe Valley Town Square will now cost $300,000. It's Monday, January 30th, A.D. 2023. This is The Worldview in 5 Minutes heard at www.TheWorldview.com. I'm Adam McManus. By Adam McManus (Adam@TheWorldview.com) Iranian Christians face increased pressure in Islamic Republic In the Islamic Republic of Iran, Christians continue to face increased persecution as the Muslim authorities tighten their grip in response to nationwide protests since September 2022. Christian converts from Islam, in particular, face imprisonment of house church leaders and denial of their basic rights as citizens. Since the 1979 Islamic Revolution, that brought the current Iranian government to power, hundreds of thousands of Iranians have trusted Christ as Savior. However, Christians are considered to be direct enemies of the Iranian state. According to Open Doors, Iran is the eighth most dangerous country to live in for Christians. Please pray for our Iranian brothers and sisters in Christ. 1 Corinthians 12:26 says, “If one part suffers, every part suffers with it; if one part is honored, every part rejoices with it.” Pfizer exec: Mutate COVID virus to profit from more vaccines The Project Veritas staff filmed Jordan Walker, the Pfizer Director of Research and Development, revealing the company might consider creating mutated forms of COVID-19 to develop highly profitable vaccines, reports LifeSiteNews. Listen. UNDERCOVER REPORTER: “Pfizer ultimately is thinking about mutating COVID?” WALKER: “Well, that's not what we say to the public. You know how the virus keeps mutating?” REPORTER: “Yeah.” WALKER: “Well, one of the things we're exploring is like, ‘Why don't we just mutate ourselves?' If we're gonna do that, though, there's a risk of, as you could imagine, no one wants to be having a pharma company mutating viruses. It would be very controlled to make sure that the virus that you mutate, doesn't create something like, goes everywhere.” Dr. Robert Malone, a scientist and the Medical Director of the Unity Project, was horrified. MALONE: “The gentleman seems to have absolutely no moral compass at all. If this is the quality of individuals within Pfizer that are making these huge decisions that risk global public health, it's profoundly corrupt!” In response, Republican leaders and conservative commentators have demanded answers from Pfizer and criticized the power held by pharmaceutical companies. Florida Republican Senator Marco Rubio sent a letter to CEO Albert Bourla asking for transparent information regarding the pharmaceutical's plans to mutate the COVID virus. In a written statement, Pfizer did not dispute that Dr. Jordan Walker told a Project Veritas journalist that Pfizer is exploring how to “mutate” the COVID-19 virus. However, Walker, the Pfizer Director of Research and Development, explained how Pfizer was already mutating the COVID virus. WALKER: “The way it would work is that we put the virus in monkeys.” UNDERCOVER REPORTER: “Okay.” WALKER: “and we successively causing them to keep infecting each other, and we collect serial samples from them. And then, once they're more infectious, the virus we'll put them in another monkey and just constantly actively mutate it. That's one way.” Fox News host Tucker Carlson weighed in. CARLSON: “A Pfizer executive bragging on camera about how his company conducts a kind of Frankenstein science, manipulating COVID viruses for profit, imperiling potentially the entire world doing it in secret, possibly in violation of federal law. Bragging about this. No matter what your politics are, doesn't matter who you voted for, that's a huge story. And you would think every reporter in this country would be itching to follow up on it, calling Pfizer, telling the public about it. But no, that's not happening.” Bodycam video reveals hammer assault of Paul Pelosi Two disturbing police videos were just released Friday. First, the long-suppressed October 28, 2022 video from a San Francisco policeman's bodycam that shows a portion of the brutal hammer attack on Paul Pelosi, the husband of former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi. The assailant's name is David DePape, a 42-year-old Canadian illegal alien, who abused drugs, was part of a public nudist group, and had exhibited psychotic behavior, reports the New York Post. In a bizarre audio statement which DePape read to a KTVU reporter last Friday, he didn't apologize for the attack, but apologized for not hurting more people. New video of cops beating a Tennessee motorist In the second video released Friday, Tyre Nichols, a 29-year-old black motorist who was pulled over in Memphis, Tennessee on January 7th for reckless driving, was aggressively beaten by five black Memphis police officers, reports National Public Radio. He had tried to flee on foot. Nichols died three days later in the hospital. The footage emerged one day after the officers were charged with murder in Nichols' death. In response, talk show host Todd Starnes reports that a truck rammed stores followed by looting Saturday. Christian cop resigns after superiors upset with anti-“gay” marriage post And finally, Jacob Kersey, a 19-year-old Christian police officer in Georgia, has resigned after he was told by superiors that he could not share his personal religious views on social media, reports The Daily Signal. On January 2, Kersey posted a 20-word message about his view of marriage on Facebook. In a paraphrase of the Apostle Paul's teaching in Ephesians, he wrote, “God designed marriage. Marriage refers to Christ and the church. That's why there is no such thing as homosexual marriage.” The next day, Kersey said he received a phone call from his supervisor, who told him that someone had complained about the post and to take it down. When Kersey refused, the supervisor warned him that failure to delete the Facebook post on marriage could result in his termination. Kersey said he then was contacted by Lt. Justin Hardy who told him that the Port Wentworth Police Department did not want to be held liable by homosexuals. Kersey still refused to delete the post. Kersey said that Police Chief Matt Libby told him that his Facebook post on marriage was the “same thing as saying the N-word.” After a week of paid administrative leave, Kersey was told he could not work as one of the department's officers if he continued to share his “interpretation or opinion on Scripture if it was deemed offensive.” He refused to be censored and quit. He told The Daily Signal that his decision to share his story “could very well mean I will not have another opportunity to be a police officer. That has been an extremely difficult reality to accept, but I sincerely believe speaking up is the right thing to do.” Jacob Kersey exemplifies 1 Corinthians 16:13 which says, “Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong.” Join me and send a polite email of objection to Port Wentworth Police Chief Matt Libby about his department's bullying of Officer Jacob Kersey. Long withheld from public view, the video of Paul Pelosi's cudgeling by David DePape was finally released by authorities in San Francisco. The harrowing clip, widely accessible on YouTube, shows a flat-footed officer intervening to separate the two men. Pelosi, an elderly man in his 8th decade of life, suffered a fractured skull and was knocked unconscious for about 3 minutes. By all accounts, he has not yet, and perhaps never fully will recuperate from the injuries he sustained that night. DePape, a peculiar character of Canadian extraction, was apprehended and is facing many years in prison. The second and more disquieting video shows the altercation between Tyre Nichols, a 29-year-old father and FedEx employee, and the Memphis police. For having allegedly violated a routine traffic law, the officers stopped and detained Nichols. After he apparently evaded arrest, the officers descended upon and mercilessly beat him. Nichols, a black man, died of his injuries at the hospital a few days later. The five police officers, also black, have since been relieved of their posts and charged with second degree murder. What were your first impressions upon watching these videos? What do they say about police in America? What about the narrative of race?
Sean discusses and analyzes three recent videos in the news: The Memphis police officers who beat a man to death, the Pelosi hammer attack, and the Pfizer executive admitting they mutate viruses to make money.
Paul Pelosi ATTACK Footage RELEASED, Insane Video Raises MORE Questions About Depape, SUPER WEIRD. Video Shows Paul Holding a glass and the hammer with Depape as both answer the door together. The oddity can be answered by saying Depape is simply insane but it seems like a catch all explanation is a stretch. The 911 call does lend itself more to Pelosi's story but still seems odd. Paul Pelosi Attacker May Have Been SLAVE Claims Son, Was NOT Conservative, Depape Story Gets CRAZIER. Press Reports David Depape was targeting Democrats and even Tom Hanks. The story any way you cut it is insane. Either a Paul Pelosi was randomly attacked by a crazed man targeting Nancy pelosi or he was some kind of night workers seeking to pleasure Mr. Pelosi but it went wrong. Obviously the latter is more absurd but the idea of a crazed man radicalized by Gamergate (so he claims) is also just so on the nose its unbelieveable. #pelosi #democrats #republicans Become A Member And Protect Our Work at http://www.timcast.com Learn more about your ad choices. Keeping with expectations, the rate-setting Federal Open Market Committee voted to boost the overnight borrowing rate half a percentage point, taking it to a targeted range between 4.25% and 4.5%. The increase broke a string of four straight three-quarter point hikes, the most aggressive policy moves since the early 1980s. Along with the increase came an indication that officials expect to keep rates higher through next year, with no reductions until 2024. The expected “terminal rate,” or point where officials expect to end the rate hikes, was put at 5.1%, according to the FOMC’s “dot plot” of individual members’ expectations. Investors initially reacted negatively to the expectation that rates may stay higher for longer, and stocks gave up earlier gains. During a news conference, Chairman Jerome Powell said it was important to keep up the fight against inflation so that the expectation of higher prices does not become entrenched. “Inflation data received so far for October and November show a welcome reduction in the monthly pace of price increases,” the chair said at his post-meeting news conference. “But it will take substantially more evidence to have confidence that inflation is on a sustained downward” path. The new level marks the highest the fed funds rate has been since December 2007, just ahead of the global financial crisis and as the Fed was loosening policy aggressively to combat what would turn into the worst economic downturn since the Great Depression. This time around, the Fed is raising rates into what is expected to be a moribund economy in 2023. Members penciled in increases for the funds rate until it hits a median level of 5.1% next year, equivalent to a target range of 5%-5.25. At that point, officials are likely to pause to allow the impact of monetary policy tightening to make its way through the economy. The consensus then pointed to a full percentage point worth of rate cuts in 2024, taking the funds rate to 4.1% by the end of that year. That is followed by another percentage point of cuts in 2025 to a rate of 3.1%, before the benchmark settles into a longer-run neutral level of 2.5%. However, there was a fairly wide dispersion in the outlook for future years, indicating that members are uncertain about what is ahead for an economy dealing with the worst inflation it has seen since the early 1980s. The newest dot plot featured multiple members seeing rates heading considerably higher than the median point for 2023 and 2024. For 2023, seven of the 19 committee members – voters and nonvoters included – saw rates rising above 5.25%. Similarly, there were seven members who saw rates higher than the median 4.1% in 2024. The FOMC policy statement, approved unanimously, was virtually unchanged from November’s meeting. Some observers had expected the Fed to alter language that it sees “ongoing increases” ahead to something less committal, but that phrase remained in the statement. Fed officials believe raising rates helps take money out the economy, reducing demand and ultimately pulling prices lower after inflation spiked to its highest level in more than 40 years. After spending much of 2021 dismissing the price increases as “transitory,” the Fed started raising interest rates in March of this year, first tentatively and then more aggressively, with the previous four increases in 0.75 percentage point increments. Prior to this year, the Fed had not raised rates more than a quarter point at a time in 22 years. The Fed also has been engaged in “quantitative tightening,” a process in which it is allowing proceeds from maturing bonds to roll off its balance sheet each month rather than reinvesting them. A capped total of $95 billion is being allowed to run off each month, resulting in a $332 billion decline in the balance sheet since early June. The balance sheet now stands at $8.63 trillion. https://www.kron4.com/news/bay-area/david-depape-in-court-today-live-updates/ David DePape case to move forward to trial, judge rules David DePape’s case will move forward to trial and the alleged Paul Pelosi attacker will be tried on all charges, a San Francisco Superior Court judge ruled on Wednesday. DePape, who appeared in court wearing an orange jumpsuit Wednesday, was arrested on Oct. 28 after allegedly attacking Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s husband with a hammer inside their Pacific Heights home. Superior Court Judge Stephen Murphy just ruled that the San Francisco District Attorney’s Office has enough evidence against David DePape to move the case forward to trial on all charges. DePape’s defense attorney never disputed that his client was in fact the person who broke into the Pelosi’s home and beat Paul Pelosi with a hammer. DePape made a full confession to police during interrogations and video of the interrogation was played in court. The most serious charge is premeditated attempted murder. Defense attorney Adam Lipson tried to argue that the attack was not premeditated, nor attempted murder. The defense pointed to DePape’s statements to Mr. Pelosi and police, in which he said he was targeting Nancy Pelosi, not Paul Pelosi, and intended to break Nancy’s kneecaps – not kill her. However, Judge Murphy disagreed with the defense. San Francisco Police Department Lt. Carla Hurley said when she interrogated David DePape, he revealed that he had other political targets. DePape said he planned to kidnap Hunter Biden, who lives in Malibu, California, so he could talk to Hunter about “all the corruption” in Washington, Hurley testified. DePape said he planned to travel to Los Angeles to confront Biden at home. (As the son of President Joe Biden, Hunter Biden is protected by Secret Service agents at his Malibu mansion.) DePape also said he planned to target California Gov. Gavin Newsom, Hurley testified. DePape told Hurley that he was on a “suicide mission” and would do whatever it took to stop Congress’ “corruption and lies.” Hurley said, in addition to Newsom and Hunter Biden, DePape also had two more targets: Actor Tom Hanks Feminist author Gale Breen https://thepostmillennial.com/breaking-washington-post-announces-layoffs-in-early-2023?utm_campaign=64487 Washington Post announces layoffs in early 2023 The Washington Post will be making layoffs early in the coming year, said CEO Fred Ryan on Wednesday morning. According to several staffers, Ryan announced at a company town hall that there will be layoffs at the paper early next year, reported Max Tani of Semafor. https://rumble.com/v20nj6a-washington-post-announces-layoffs-in-early-2023.html - Play Video As seen on video footage captured by a member of the town hall audience, the crowd became upset at their boss's announcement. "What are you going to do to protect people's jobs? Are they going to be treated like the magazine staffers were?" one employee can be heard asking as Ryan began to make his exit while other personnel also attempted to get answers. Last month, the Post ended their Sunday print magazine and laid off its employees, according to the Washingtonian. The news of the downsizing comes as the Post faces backlash for the characterization of journalists Bari Weiss and Matt Taibbi as "conservative." Taibbi, who previously worked for Rolling Stone, and Weiss, who was an editor at The New York Times, have both shared many left-leaning views in the past, however, they both are now under fire from the left for their documentation of the "Twitter Files," the internal documents shared by Twitter owner Elon Musk showing the tech giant taking massive steps to suppress and censor conservatives and politically-inconvenient news, such as the Hunter Biden laptop story. In a now-edited article, The Post labeled the two as "conservative journalists" for reporting on the “Twitter Files,” reports the Daily Caller. https://thepostmillennial.com/pedophile-who-performed-sex-act-to-12-year-old-girl-online-spared-prison?utm_campaign=64487 Pedophile spared prison after judge says web chat with 12-year-old girl ‘motivated by boredom’ A British man who engaged in a number of graphic online chats with a girl he believed to be 12 years old has been spared jail time, the Daily Mail reported. The judge presiding over the case argued that the man was "motivated by boredom rather than sexual interest in children" and that his "shame and remorse seem genuine." Andrew Teale, 43, began his chat innocently enough, but the conversation quickly turned sexual, with the married father eventually performing an act over Skype. I won’t read exactly what was said, as it is quite graphic in nature… but I’ll just say it was giving me Chris Hanson with to catch a predator vibes. Unbeknownst to Teale, he was saying all of these things to an undercover police officer, which ultimately resulted in his arrest in January. He admitted to attempting to engage in sexual activity in the presence of a child and attempting to engage in sexual communications with a child. The judge gave him a 12-month suspended jail sentence, meaning that he doesn't have to physically go to prison so long as certain requirements are met, including 150 hours of community service. During the sentencing, his previous good character, job loss, as well as the overall impact on his family life were also noted, although these comments were criticized as being an "insult to injury" by a former head of the national online police child protection unit. Formerly the Head of Innovation at British investment firm AJ Bell, Teale resigned from his position in July without informing the company of the criminal charges he was facing. Teale's lawyer says that he put a stop to his behavior and sought help. Dime Payments Dime Payments is a Christian owned processing payment business. Now finally, it’s time for my favorite topic… sports! https://www.breitbart.com/sports/2022/12/13/mississippi-state-football-coach-mike-leach-dies-at-61/ Mississippi State football Coach Mike Leach Dies at 61 Mike Leach, the gruff, pioneering and unfiltered college football coach who helped revolutionize the passing game with the Air Raid offense, has died following complications from a heart condition, Mississippi State said Tuesday. He was 61. Leach, who was in his third season as head coach at Mississippi State, fell ill Sunday at his home in Starkville, Mississippi. He was treated at a local hospital before being airlifted to University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, about 120 miles (200 kilometers) away. “Mike was a giving and attentive husband, father and grandfather. He was able to participate in organ donation at UMMC as a final act of charity,” the family said in a statement issued by Mississippi State. “We are supported and uplifted by the outpouring of love and prayers from family, friends, Mississippi State University, the hospital staff, and football fans around the world. Thank you for sharing in the joy of our beloved husband and father’s life.” Leach fought through a bout with pneumonia late in this season, coughing uncontrollably at times during news conferences, but seemed to be improving, according to those who worked with him. News of him falling gravely ill swept through college football the past few days and left many who knew him stunned, hoping and praying for Leach’s recovery under grim circumstances. His impact on college football over the last two decades runs deep and will continue for years to come. Leach was known for his pass-happy offenses, wide-ranging interests — he wrote a book about Native American leader Geronimo, had a passion for pirates, a taught a class about insurgent warfare — and rambling, off-the-cuff news conferences. Leach’s teams were consistent winners at programs where success did not come easy. In 21 seasons as a head coach at Texas Tech, Washington State and Mississippi State, Leach went 158-107. And his quarterbacks put up massive passing statistics, running a relatively simple offense called the Air Raid that he did not invent but certainly mastered. An interview with Leach was as likely to veer off into politics, wedding planning or hypothetical mascot fights as it was to stick to football. He considered Donald Trump a friend before the billionaire businessman ran for president and then campaigned for him in 2016. He traveled all over the world and his curiosity knew no bounds. He most appreciated those who stepped outside of their expertise. As much as Leach enjoyed digging into topics other than football, he was excellent at the Xs and Os. Six of the 20 best passing seasons in major college football history were by quarterbacks who played for Leach, including four of the top six. Calling plays from a folded piece of paper smaller than an index card, Leach turned passers such as B.J. Symons (448.7 yards per game), Graham Harrell (438.8), Connor Halliday (430.3) and Anthony Gordon (429.2) into record-setters and Heisman Trophy contenders. Q Anon conspiracy theorist, former “hemp artist” and nudist David DePape tried to murder Paul Pelosi with a hammer, in a middle of the night violent attack. In this episode we try to understand how the assailant, David DePape, was radicalized by the Q Anon cult and when his break from reality started to manifest. We go over all the details of the vicious attack as we explain how conspiracy theories emerge. If you like our content please become a patron to get two bonus premium episodes per month, as well as our public episodes ad-free. “Where is Nancy?” These are the words DePape was screaming as he broke in to the Pelosis' San Francisco home breaking a glass door in the back of the house, carrying his tool box, at least two hammers and zip ties. The investigators already determined that the target of the attack was The Speaker of The House. 1 The attacker's plan was to hold Nancy Pelosi hostage and probably torture her, “break her kneecaps” and find out more information about other democrats, he had a list of names with him too. 82 year old Paul Pelosi was seriously injured after being struck on the head with a hammer and was rushed to the hospital. 2 The situation was made worse by GOP politicians who started spreading conspiracy theories online. Elon Musk, days after buying Twitter, also got involved, implying in a reply tweet to Hillary Clinton that there's more to this story and alluding that Paul Pelosi and the attacker were involved sexually. T-Minus SIX days until the biggest election ever.Tons of topics discussed on this blockbuster 71 minute episode of ‘The Teddy Brosevelt Show', including: * Biden's Speech last night in D.C., warning Americans that they better vote for his political party or our Democracy is going to collapse. Joe Biden ran as “the great uniter”, but he's turned out to be the most contentious, divisive, angry, incompetent a*****e in the history of the universe. Pretty much the opposite of Abraham Lincoln. We need to honor his presidency with a new memorial on the National Mall in D.C. - “The Eternal Dumpster Fire”. * Joe Biden told Americans last to be “patient” with the election results. And that it “could take days” to find out who won. The director of Pennsylvania elections is now warning voters that there will be “delays” and “inconsistencies” as the vote count is released. It's 2022 and somehow it's taking longer to count the votes now than it did 30 years ago. What's going on? * Now Democrats are warning America: If Republicans win next week, “our children will be arrested and conceivably killed.” It's a core piece of the GOP platform 2022: arresting American children and killing them. That's listed as number two, right behind “Destroy Democracy on Day One”. * San Francisco newspaper hack wrote an article: “How SFPD's bungled messaging spawned baseless theories about Pelosi attack”. This awful hack says that the tin foil hat-wearing crowd is inventing “baseless conspiracy theories” - and then lists four major flaws in police and news reporting that led to people asking questions and wondering what really happened. How can this idiot call the theories “baseless”, when his article lists FOUR major issues with the SFPD and media's version of events that raised huge red flags? This hack just proved our point - the Paul Pelosi story doesn't add up. The FBI and SFPD gave different versions of the incident. * SF Gate hack wrote: “Those three details are: that an unidentified third person was present for the attack; that Pelosi and DePape knew each other; and that both men were wielding hammers when police arrived. A fourth inaccurate detail — that both men were in their underwear — can be traced to an early report from KTVU, which has since been corrected. “ * HEY DIPSHIT - all of the so-called “conspiracy theories” were based on these discrepancies. How can they be “baseless” when you just listed four mistakes made by the cops and news media that raised major questions about what the hell happened.* Millions of Democrats living in Democrat-run cities have seen their quality of life rapidly deteriorate over the past two years. No way they are going to vote for more of this disaster. Half of all fires in Portland, Oregon are from homeless camps — 2,048 last year. * READ: “Why Lifelong Democrats in Oregon Say They're Ready to Vote Red” * READ: “The Hollywood Power Brokers Mugged by Reality” - L.A.'s mayoral race pits a black congresswoman endorsed by Obama against a billionaire developer. "I can't tell you the number of people who tell me, 'I'm voting for him, but I'm not telling anyone.'"* News flash: Most sane people don't like crime, trash, blight, dirty needles, tent cities in parks, open air drug dens and homeless camp fires. * RSV is causing a pediatric crisis that is overwhelming hospitals. Many Democrats and their allies in the media are blaming Republicans for a deranged man's attack on Paul Pelosi, husband of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA). There's no question suspect David DePape is deranged, or what the British would call barking mad. Consider this, from the Washington Post: "In [a] blog post on October 24, four days before the attack on Pelosi, DePape shared images of a wooden birdhouse he said he had purchased for an invisible fairy he communicated with that had begun interfering with his life. 'He appears in a form that makes sense in my reality because I can't see fairies. He'll do things to let me know it's him and he often appears as a bird,' DePape wrote."
Prosecutors say David DePape, the man who allegedly attacked House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's husband, claimed he was on a suicide mission, with plans to kidnap Speaker Pelosi. DePape entered a not guilty plea on Tuesday and is due back in court on Friday. "Voter integrity" groups claim they're looking to root out fraud. But the targeted door-knocking in Shasta County amounts to voter intimidation and could be illegal under California election laws, according to election officials. It's also part of a broader national trend motivated by election conspiracy theorists. Reporter: Erik Neumann, Jefferson Public Radio William Curry, who reportedly graduated from high school in Alabama last year, was finally escorted off campus last week. Despite multiple removals from campus since December 2021, Curry continued to return. Campus officials caught Curry on Thursday morning after he allegedly stole a TV from a dorm basement.
EPISODE 68: COUNTDOWN WITH KEITH OLBERMANN A-Block (1:45) "He was completely caught up in the fantasy. He really believed in the whole MAGA, stolen election. If you go to Fox News, if you look at QAnon - you know." David DePape's employer of six years makes it Case Closed: the would-be assassin of Nancy Pelosi was energized stochastically by every weapon the GOP can muster (2:24) And it appears that DePape's defense will be a claim of "vulnerability" to the MAGA/Fox News/Trump misinformation machine (3:24) Yet the GOP continues in full denial, to the extent that a Washington Examiner columnist insists the assassination attempt never happened (5:04) How does the GOP maintain this astonishing and apparently heartfelt hypocrisy? Their party DEPENDS on it. Let me review a couple dozen Herschel Walker/Peter Navarro/Samuel Alito cases (10:30) And finally we have the explanation of "Every Republican Accusation Is A Confession" from a psychology professional: it's not projection, it's not compensation. B-Block (20:04) EVERY DOG HAS ITS DAY: Hex, in Devore CA (21:00) POSTSCRIPTS TO THE NEWS: Graham has to testify, Wisconsin fascist gubernatorial candidate says the quiet fascist part out loud, and Elon Musk's tries to make selling Verification into a populist issue when he's really just blackmailing the blue checks: pay me $96/year or I'll shadow-ban you, and maybe sell your identity to somebody else. Plus late word that the Treasury Department isn't happy with all those Saudi, Qatari, and Chinese investors and may try to hold up his purchase! (26:16) IN SPORTS: Even MORE home runs, yet another A's franchise shift, and the NBA screws up the Kyrie Irving disaster yet again (29:40) THE WORST PERSONS IN THE WORLDS: Mehmet Oz, Jim "Yes MASA" Jordan and Andrea "Bothsidesism" Mitchell compete for the honors. C-Block (34:02) THINGS I PROMISED NOT TO TELL: You know how I know CNN is trying to swing to the right to protect its profits in case the country goes fascist? Because MSNBC tried it in 2003. The harrowing story of the day they tried to make me run a commentary by Michael Savage - literally dressed as a brownshirt - in the middle of Countdown and what I had to do to stop them.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

The man alleged to have attacked Paul Pelosi, husband of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, has been charged with a litany of crimes, including assault, attempted murder and attempted kidnapping, following last week's break-in at the couple's San Francisco home, the US attorney's office and San Francisco district attorney announced on Monday. David DePape, 42, was charged with one count of “attempted kidnapping of a US official,” according to the US attorney's office for the Northern District of California. That charge relates to Nancy Pelosi, who DePape told police he planned to “hold hostage,” according to an FBI affidavit also unsealed on Monday. CNN Senior Law Enforcement Analyst and former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe gives his legal insight and Democrat Representative Jackie Speier who is a colleague and friend of Nancy Pelosi, gives her perspective. This is Garrison Hardie with your CrossPolitic Daily NewsBrief for Tuesday, November 1st, 2022. I hope you guys had an excellent Reformation Day, and that you parents got some sleep with any potential candy crazed kiddos, but if you didn’t here’s some news to keep you entertained… https://thepostmillennial.com/dhs-leaks-starting-in-2020-dhs-began-meeting-with-twitter-facebook-wikipedia-and-more-monthly-to-coordinate-content-moderation-efforts?utm_campaign=64487 DHS LEAKS: Starting in 2020, DHS began meeting with Twitter, Facebook, Wikipedia and more monthly to coordinate 'content moderation' efforts The Department of Homeland Security has been working to influence big tech platforms. This became originally evident when the Biden administration launched the ill-fated Disinformation Governance Board early in 2022, but has been a focus of their efforts even beyond that now-defunct unit, and before. Missouri Attorney General Eric Schmitt filed a lawsuit that revealed via appended meeting minutes that former Microsoft executive Matt Masterson, who was formerly an official with DHS, told a DHS director in February 2022 that "Platforms have got to get comfortable with gov't. It's really interesteding how hesitant they remain." This according to The Intercept. Prior to 2020, it was reported that DHS met with Twitter, Facebook, Wikipedia, and other platforms in order to coordinate "content moderation" operations. These meetings were part of an ongoing initiative which saw collusion and collaboration between DHS and big tech to determine how "misinformation" would be dealt with on those platforms. Areas that came under this purview included the withdrawal from Afghanistan, undertaken disastrously by President Joe Biden in August 2021 as well as the origins of the Covid-19 virus, which became controversial enough that users were kicked off social media platforms for expressing the hypothesis that the virus originated in a Wuhan, China lab. A Senate report found last week that this was the most likely scenario. Information that could undermine trust in financial institutions was also targeted. The Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency Act, signed by President Donald Trump, opened the door to this as it formed a new branch within DHS, which then undertook to deal with online "disinformation." CISA stated its understanding that the mission of that branch of DHS was "evolved," and meant to communicate their concerns on "disinformation" to social media companies. Social media companies took DHS' word for it. DHS used concerns about "marginialized communities" to justify their reach. Much of this effort became evidence as a result of an attempt to "fight disinformation" in the lead-up to the 2020 presidential election. Both Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg and then-Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey spoke about their platform's effort to suppress and censor reporting from the New York Post. They did this, in part, because the FBI had told these platforms to watch out for a "misinformation" dump. During the elction, there were "weekly teleconference to coordinate Intelligence Community activities to counter election-related disinformation." Since then, meetings have taken place every two weeks. When the Hunter Biden laptop story broke, revealing the Biden family's influence peddling and shady overseas business dealings with Ukraine and China, social media platforms took the bait from the government and ditched the story. Countless other mainstream media outlets followed suit, going so far as to report on why they would not report on the story, citing "hacking," "misinformation," and a "Russian plot." All of these were incorrect, and many outlets, including The New York Times, had to walk it back. As a result of documents revealed in Schmitt's suit, it is now apparent that DHS officials were in fact "leading the push to expand the government's reach into disinformation," and that the government "also played a quiet role in shaping the decisions of social media giants around the New York Post story." Post-election polling showed that many Americans would not have voted for Joe Biden had they known the Hunter Biden laptop story was fact and not a disinformation plot. The case that revealed the information was brought this spring by Missouri Attorney General Eric Schmitt and Louisiana Attorney General Jeff Landry against top administration officials in US District Court for the Western District of Louisiana. It alleged that President Joe Biden and other administration officials "pressured and colluded" with Big Tech companies to censor the Hunter Biden laptop story as well as information regarding the lab leak origin theory of COVID-19 and the security of voting by mail. The lawsuit named White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki, US Surgeon General Vivek Murthy, Secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services Xavier Becerra, Chief Medical Advisor and NIAID Director Dr. Anthony Fauci, Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas, and newly announced director of the DHS’s Disinformation Governance Board. Also named were the Department of Health and Human Services, the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the Department of Homeland Security, and the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency. The lawsuit alleges that the federal government had violated constitutional rights to suppress free speech in "one of its greatest assaults by federal government officials in the Nation’s history." San Francisco police arrived at the home and encountered Paul Pelosi, 82, and DePape struggling over a hammer. After the officers ordered them to drop the weapon, DePape allegedly seized control of it and swung it into Pelosi’s skull. Police recovered zip ties in Pelosi’s bedroom, found glass broken at the rear of the house, tape, rope, gloves and a journal, according to the FBI affidavit. Before Pelosi was taken to a hospital, where he underwent emergency surgery on a fractured skull, he told police from the ambulance that he had never seen DePape before and that the intruder showed up in his bedroom around 2:30 a.m. demanding to talk to "Nancy" – the House Speaker. The lawmaker’s husband told DePape that his wife was out, and DePape allegedly decided to wait for her to return. "Pelosi stated that his wife would not be home for several days, and then DePape reiterated that he would wait," according to the affidavit. "DePape stated that he was going to hold Nancy hostage and talk to her," the affidavit reads. "If Nancy were to tell DePape the ‘truth,’ he would let her go, and if she ‘lied,’ he was going to break ‘her kneecaps.’" "DePape also later explained that by breaking Nancy’s kneecaps, she would then have to be wheeled into Congress, which would show other Members of Congress that there were consequences to actions," the affidavit continues. DePape also allegedly admitted to breaking into the home, using the hammer to shatter a glass door and surprising Paul Pelosi in his bedroom. He also allegedly confessed to cracking the 82-year-old's skull. An Immigrations and Customers Enforcement source told Fox News Monday that DePape is in the U.S. illegally after a "longtime" visa overstay. He was born in Canada and emigrated to the U.S. about 20 years ago. DePape now faces federal charges and up to 50 years in prison according to the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Northern District of California. https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/news/crime/thegrio-kff-survey-black-voters-17-percent-support-defunding-police Only 17% of black voters support defunding the police: Poll Only 17% of black voters say they support defunding the police, a poll released this week found. The Survey of Black Voters, conducted by TheGrio and KFF and published on Wednesday, asked 1,000 black adults who say they are registered to vote for their opinion on policing. About half of those polled, 48%, said they would like to see police funding kept about the same, while 34% said they wanted increased financial support. Just 17% responded that they support decreased funding for police in their area. Of black voters living in urban areas, 39% supported increased funding. That's a 10-point jump from the 29% of black voters living in suburban areas who said they back increased funds for police. The poll also found that 3 in 4 black voters viewed criminal justice and policing as a "very important factor in making their decision about who to vote for," including 77% of Democrats and 68% of Republicans. The issue of crime was as important for those who made under $40,000 per year as it was for those making over $90,000 annually. The "defund the police" effort emerged through Black Lives Matter protests, which began in the early 2010s. The idea was initially dismissed as fringe but grew in prominence during the summer of 2020, when the murder of George Floyd sparked racial justice protests across the country. Notable progressives such as Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), Rashida Tlaib (D-MI), Ilhan Omar (D-MN), Cori Bush (D-MO), and Ayanna Pressley (D-MA) became ardent supporters of the defund movement. Other prominent Democrats, such as current Democratic candidates Stacey Abrams and John Fetterman, discussed reallocating funds to social services and investing in minority communities, as well as ideas for reimagining policing, in interviews. Clips from those conversations have been used by Republicans in ads against their candidacies. Not all Democrats got on board with the defund movement, though. Both President Joe Biden and Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) made frequent note of their support for increased police funding during the 2020 election cycle and hold the same positions now. Irving’s posts from late this past week drew a statement from the NBA and a public rebuke from Nets owner Joe Tsai. Neither the league nor the team, however, convinced Irving to take down his initial post or back down in the slightest. And after the Nets’ latest loss, a 125-116 drubbing by the Pacers at Barclays Center, he vowed not to. Kyrie Irving addresses backlash to his recent social media posts- Play Video 0:00-1:43 Play 2:47-4:18 Play 5:19-6:16 Man… Things got a little testy… Irving does indeed have a huge fan base, with 17.5 million followers on Instagram and another 4.5 million on Twitter. And on Thursday he took to both platforms to promote a 2018 movie called “Hebrews to Negroes: Wake Up Black America.” Both the film and the 2014 book it is based on are filled with anti-Semitic disinformation, including accusations of large numbers of Jewish people worshipping Satan. Irving has since been rebuked by the NBA Player’s Association.
On today's Breitbart News Daily podcast, we begin with some details about Alex's Halloween with young children and how some masked freaks tried to ruin it for everyone. Meanwhile, Laurene Powell Jobs' "The Atlantic" magazine has called for an amnesty for all of the totalitarians who gave terrible recommendations that caused you and your children to suffer during the COVID pandemic. Enraging! Alex then connects the dishonest virtue signaling by the Left to their inevitable political failings this election season. Plus, much more in the opening, including the latest details of the Paul Pelosi attack. Is this apparently pro-BLM/pro-LGBTQ/pro-hemp nudist advocate from Berkeley the new face of MAGA? No. Then, Tina Descovich and Tiffany Justice, the co-founders of ‘Moms for Liberty' (momsforliberty.org) join us to discuss the new teachers' union report from Peter Schweizer's Government Accountability Institute (GAI) that reveals an overwhelming amount of union dues going to left-wing causes despite a surprising number of non-Democrats among their membership.
Even though it was Halloween, two political extremists were unmasked yesterday, one on each coast. What they said tells us a lot about the future of political violence in America. In Washington, at the Oath Keeper trial, Graydon Young, the first Oath Keeper to plead guilty to charges related to storming Congress on Jan. 6, broke down in tears as he apologized for his role. “I guess I was acting like a traitor against my own government,” he said. In San Francisco, an FBI agent who specializes in investigations of domestic terrorism — that is, “primarily” Americans “who commit violent criminal acts in furtherance of their political or social ideology” — filed the criminal complaint against David DePape in which we learned the horrific details of the attack on Paul Pelosi. We tend to think of the Oath Keepers and groups like it as the face of political extremism and violence in America. But domestic politcal terrorists are increasingly more like DePape. The big trend is what terrorism researchers call “ungrouping,” in which individuals need no formal organization to recruit and indoctrinate them with fringe ideas when they have easy access to them online — and major political figures endorsing them. San Francisco police arrived at the home and encountered Paul Pelosi, 82, and DePape struggling over a hammer. The lawsuit alleges that the federal government had violated constitutional rights to suppress free speech in "one of its greatest assaults by federal government officials in the Nation’s history." Kicking off the first day of November 2022 by bringing back special guest Blue Canaries to discuss the latest developments in the Paul Pelosi attack. Blue and Teddy take a close look at the new questions raised by the FBI affidavit, which contradicts the SF Police Department version multiple times. You can follow along by downloading the eight page PDF of the FBI affadavit, which was submitted by FBI agent Stephanie Minor (who has only been on the job since 2019). LINK: https://www.justice.gov/opa/press-release/file/1548106/downloadEPISODE XXXIV TOPICS: * Major contradictions between the SF Police version of events and the new FBI affidavit* The unidentified third person who originally opened the door for the police has vanished from the scene. Now the FBI says Paul Pelosi was the one who opened the door for the police and greeted them. Then after opening the door for the police, this 84 year old man worth $100 million decided to resume struggling over a hammer with a man half his age. Guess he wanted to show the cops how tough he was? * Original version of the story said DEPAPE was in his underwear. That was one of the major mysteries of the original story. But now you are a “conspiracy theorist” and a homophobe if you repeat this detail. The media initially reported it on October 28, and I heard it on the radio so this tidbit of info was repeated by multiple news outlets. Now it's retracted, and the left is accusing anyone who mentions underwear of lying and spreading disinformation. * Blue Canaries once again underscores the major objective here: to get conservatives to take the bait, so they can continue censoring, silencing and punishing their political opponents. * Glenn Greenwald brilliantly explains their real objective: “The Consortium Imposing the Growing Censorship Regime” * GREENWALD: “There has been some reporting — by me and others — on the new and utterly fraudulent “disinformation” industry. This newly minted, self-proclaimed expertise, grounded in little more than crude political ideology, claims the right to officially decree what is “true” and "false” for purposes of, among other things, justifying state and corporate censorship of what its “experts” decree to be "disinformation.” The industry is funded by a consortium of a small handful of neoliberal billionaires (George Soros and Pierre Omidyar) along with U.S., British and EU intelligence agencies.”* The SF police said when they opened the door, DEPAPE was shouting “Where's Nancy?” at Paul Pelosi. The FBI affidavit says that DEPAPE asked where Nancy was when he entered Paul Pelosi's bedroom. How did the police hear DEPAPE say “Where's Nancy” when they didn't arrive until later? * NewsBusters has a great recap of the leftist media encouraging their followers to target Supreme Court Justices at their homes: “Liberal Media Encouraged TARGETING Justices at Home Before Assassination Attempt”* Madonna in January 2017: “Yes, I'm angry. Yes, I am outraged. Yes, I have thought an awful lot about blowing up the White House.” Did anyone on the left denounce her? NO!* It's chilling what is happening in America right now. It's 1984 in 2022. Episode #34 was recorded on Monday, November 1, 2022 with a call recording app that crashed three times while Blue and Teddy were talking. You will hear two 2 second sound effects in between the three segments. HUGE THANKS TO BLUE CANARIES for your patriotism, world-class research and brilliant analysis. Happy Halloween! On today's Breitbart News Daily podcast, we begin with a rundown of the odd and semi-ridiculous circumstances of the Paul Pelosi attack in San Francisco late last week before getting into a series of political updates. We also get into some detail about the early stages of the Elon Musk era of Twitter. And, of course, more headlines as well. Our guest today is Breitbart News' World Editor Frances Martel, who breaks down the Brazil election. Socialist criminal Lula Da Silva has won. Jair Bolsonaro is out. And the world is just a little worse off. It was a wild and whacky race with huge global implications.
In the wake of a hammer attack on Paul Pelosi at his San Francisco home, Democrats and media raced to blame Republicans for inciting the violence. They based their tendentious claims on bizarre social media posts expounding conspiracy theories. But the attack and the paranoia are symptoms of the psychosis - which was tied to long-term drug abuse. Michael Shellenberger writes: DePape lived with a notorious local nudist in a Berkeley home, complete with a Black Lives Matter sign in the window and an LGBT rainbow flag, emblazoned with a marijuana symbol, hanging from a tree. A closer look reveals the characteristics of a homeless encampment, or what Europeans call “an open drug scene.” In the driveway, there is a broken-down camper van. On the street is a yellow school bus, which neighbors said DePape occasionally stayed in. Both are filled with garbage typical of such structures in homeless encampments. People come and go from the house and the vehicles, neighbors say, in part to partake in the use of a potent psychedelic drug, ibogaine. Neighbors described DePape as a homeless addict with a politics that was, until recently, left-wing, but of secondary importance to his psychotic and paranoid behavior. The rush to blame conservatives for a drug-addled insane person attacking Paul Pelosi is disgusting and a stain on the American media and Democrats engaging in it. Rich Lowry at National Review writes: Of course, it's not enough to leave it at that. The press and Democrats have brushed right by the evidence of the attacker's mental illness and portrayed the assault as a quasi-MAGA operation. It's supposedly an extension of the political campaign against Speaker Pelosi, or the inevitable fruit of right-wing election denialism, a kind of follow-on operation to January 6. In reality, to the extent the attacker represents anything, it's the milieu of hippie Berkeley more than Steve Bannon's War Room, but no one is letting that get in the way of a good narrative. ... In a classic sign of serious mental illness, DePape believes that he was being targeted by invisible forces. In its review of what DePape wrote on his blog the week before the attack, the Washington Post found that he thought “that an invisible fairy attacked an acquaintance and sometimes appeared to him in the form of a bird.” According to the paper, “he wrote that he was looking to purchase a fairy house on Etsy but was frustrated that the doors were painted and so could not be used by a fairy. ‘They have lots of fairy houses but NONE of them are MADE for fairies,' he wrote.” He also believed that he was being targeted by law enforcement manipulating the 4chan message board. Apparently, before DePape's posts would load, readers would see an image of someone wearing a giant inflatable unicorn costume. DePape's life was about what you'd expect, given these lunatic ravings — a total train wreck. He occasionally slept in a broken-down school bus. His family was afraid of him. A woman identifying herself as his daughter said, “He did genuinely try to be a good person but the monster in him was always too strong for him to be safe around.” This is not the picture of a man radicalized by election denial or right-wing conspiracy theories. Instead, it shows someone already disturbed and dangerous before he posted anything favorable about Jordan Peterson or Peter Navarro. Years ago he got some attention for sharing Taub's nudist activism. According to Taub, when they met “he was very much in alignment with my views, and I've always been very progressive.” Get exclusive content here!: https://thepetekalinershow.com/See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Brilliant researcher extraordinaire Blue Canaries got suspended from Twitter (again!) this weekend, just minutes after she posted a 17 tweet thread with research and questions on the mysterious Paul Pelosi attack. Episode #33 focuses almost exclusively on the suspicious details surrounding the attack on Paul Pelosi by David DePape.Episode #33 Topics: * We have not seen a single piece of evidence that proves this attack even happened. WHY NOT?* By now we should have seen:* (1) David DePape booking photo. The most recent photos of DePape are from 2013. Where is the mugshot? * (2) Security camera footage of DePape breaking into the Pelosi's San Francisco mansion [either from the Pelosi's cameras or their neighbors]* (3) Police bodycam footage from when they opened the door, showing the two men struggling over a hammer, and DePape shouting “Where's Nancy” before hitting Pelosi in the skull. * The original version of the story keeps changing. At first they said an “unidentified third person” opened the door when the San Francisco police knocked. Now the police are retracting that statement. So who let them in? Did Paul Pelosi open the door, and then go right back to struggling with David DePape over the hammer?* There was glass on the outside of Pelosi's mansion on the stairs behind the house. If the window was broken from the outside, wouldn't the glass be on the floor on the inside of the house?* BLUE ANALYSIS: The Left and Media want you to take the bait with the gay rumors involving Pelosi and DePape. A struggle at 2 am between two men in their underwear in San Francisco certainly seems like it could be a sexual encounter gone wrong. Blue says this whole case is about censorship. Now that Elon took over Twitter, the Left is terrified of losing their favorite censorship platform. The sketchy details and suspicious timing of this so-called attack (right before the midterms) when the Democrats are running mostly on January 6th and Abortion, means your default reaction is exactly what they intended. * Gateway Pundit reports that it would be impossible for DePape to avoid being filmed by the multiple security cameras* Gateway also reports that the glass hole in the door was way too small for DePape to enter* Two websites supposedly linked to DePape were published the day before the attack, then were swiftly taken down after the drive-by media had already establiushed the narrative that DePape was a “far right wing QAnon conspiracy nutjob” - who just happens to live in the liberal epicenter of Berkeley, California, living in a dilapidated van, doing drugs and protesting in San Francisco's Castro district in favor of public nudity. YEAH RIGHT! * This bizarre story keeps changing every day. Traitorous American leftist hacks are insisting that no credible media outlet ever mentioned anything about DePape in his underwear. Yesterday the media told us that DePape had zip ties and duct tape with him. Of course! Was he also wearing a water buffalo hat with two horns during the attack?
