#340 In this high-energy podcast episode, host Guy Lawrence converses with Franco Romero, a spiritual guide and clairvoyant, about the current planetary alignments and their impact on awakening humanity's consciousness. Franco shares his personal journey of spiritual awakening, downloads of profound knowledge on quantum physics, sacred geometry, and multidimensional realities. The discussion delves into the future of humanity, the role of suffering in awakening, and the significance of the year 2025. They also explore Franco's experiences, his book 'The Closet Spiritualist,' and the importance of following one's inner knowing. This enlightening episode inspires listeners to embrace their spiritual path and prepares them for the upcoming shifts in global consciousness. About Franco: Many of you know me for my work as a clairvoyant, but I am also a spiritual teacher and mystical shaman who is obsessed with all things quantum mechanical, metaphysical, supernatural and alchemistic. When I was 6 months old, I had a Near Death Experience (NDE) which left me clairvoyant.  A supernatural ability I was unwilling to recognize until an Awakening in 2010.  It was then that I was re-introduced to a collective consciousness known as “Caleb”.  An inner Voice which has been guiding me on my spiritual path all my life.  That reunion blew my mind and opened me up to a whole new level of awareness I now call, Divine Intelligence or God Consciousness.  An advanced intelligence that is only now making its way into the stream of human consciousness.  An extraordinary science of the mind, once taught by the Great Masters, which lies dormant deep within the walls of our spiritual DNA, waiting to be activated. It is my life's purpose to share this logic and wisdom with humanity! Key Points Discussed:  (00:00) - Why Humanity's Next Phase Is Unfolding Now! With Reading Shakespeare Reading Me (Fordham), professor Leonard Barkan blends memoir and deep reading of Shakespeare's greatest plays to explore his lifelong relationship with literature and the way(s) we use art to construct our identities. We get into what it means to read, hear, perform, direct, teach Shakespeare, why it took him a lifetime to get to this book, how he contrasts himself with a radically naive reader (and why it's important to try to capture our naïveté), the gayness of Shakespeare's two Antonios, the many stories he couldn't tell until his folks were gone, and the role Shakespeare played in Leonard's gay coming of age. We also talk about Narcissism vs. Wissenschaft, his next book about the WWII loss of 434 paintings by the Great Masters (!), Cervantes' role as Shakespeare's literary peer, the on-stage therapy session he held at his career-celebration, and his stint as a theater director and what it taught him about teaching. Plus we discuss the strangeness of King Lear's opening scene, the eerie humor of Hamlet, the fraught subject of having kids, the glory & limitations of mimesis, how it felt to see his book The Hungry Eye on a bookshelf in The Bear, the lifelong struggle of living up to his promise, and a lot more. Dr. Sharon Stills interviews Kung Fu and Tai Chi master, Lao Shi Keller in today's episode. Lao Shi Keller began his martial arts training over 30 years ago in the Bai Lung Kung fu / Tai Chi system of Grandmaster Daniel K. Pai. He expanded his studies in China under Grandmaster Wang Pei Sheng, and came to realize that all of the Great Masters that he encountered knew both martial arts and various types of healing practices. Thus, in 2005, Lao Shi Keller received his Masters of Oriental Medicine from Southwest Acupuncture College. He continued to refine his studies of classical TCM while traveling and practicing in hospitals in China. Lao Shi continues to seek how to bridge esoteric Taoist theories to modern science. In this, he continues to research the applications of quantum physics to consciousness and biology, knowledge he brings to bear in his private practice where he treats patients with various illnesses. In addition, Lao Shi continues teaching Tai Chi, Chi Gong, and Kung Fu according to the carefully constructed curriculum which provides his students with a clear and solid path to develop themselves fully over the course of their training. Dr. Stills and Lao Shi Keller explore fascinating concepts of the mind, breathwork, and healing even the most stubborn diseases through conscious efforts of Qi Gong, meditation, and movement medicine. Sometimes the most simple things can prove to be the most profoundly healing, as you will hear in today's episode. If you are in need of feeling grounded and steady in today's modern, fast-paced world, this conversation is for you!

Paris itself is a living museum. Filled with over 150 museums and the streets that ooze with history and architecture spanning centuries. Before we had my beloved Musée du Louvre we had the churches that filled their walls with art from some of the biggest artists of the time. The Louvre opened in 1793 and over three hundred years before Notre Dame de Paris opened its doors. Art of the past was very different then it is now. Today it is just as much about the artist itself sometimes selling for millions of dollars just because of their  name. Centuries ago the only way for an artist to be seen was in the churches and the Salons. For this we are very lucky and you can see some of the greatest French painters for free by just popping into a few of the churches in Paris. In the newest episode of Paris History Avec a Hemingway on La Vie Creative podcast we talk about many of the ones you should search out when you arrive. You can discover the painter of Louis XIV Charles Le Brun in Saint Nicolas du Chardonnet where he was also laid to rest. The designer of Vaux le Vicomte was appointed by the king to bring the vision of Versailles to life as well as the Galerie d'Apollon in the Louvre where you can find another master. Eugene Delacroix was the leader of the Romantic movement and believed the best way for an artist to be remembered was to hang large scale pieces in public spaces. In 1824 Delacroix was commissioned to create a painting for Saint Paul Saint Louis. On the left of the transept above the door is Delacroix's Le Christ au Jardin des Olivers shows why he is the master of Romanticism. A short walk away in the Saint-Denys-du-Saint-Sacrement church is Delacroix's take on the familiar scene of La Pietà depicting the body of Christ in the arms of the Virgin after he is pulled down from the cross, was painted directly onto the wall of the Saint Genevieve chapel. Of course his greatest work was inside the Eglise Saint Sulpice that he created in those last years of his life. Listen to the newest episode to hear all about these paintings and more. More info and photos: https://www.claudinehemingway.com/paris-history-avec-a-hemingway-podcast-1Support Claudine on Patreon and get more of Paris and all her stories and benefits like discounts on her tours, custom history and exclusive content  https://www.patreon.com/bleublonderougefacebook https://www.facebook.com/BleuBlondeRougeInstagram https://www.instagram.com/claudinebleublonderouge/Join us every Sunday for a LIVE walk through Paris filled with history https://www.claudinehemingway.com/eventsSign up for the weekly Blue Blonde Rouge newsletter  https://view.flodesk.com/pages/5e8f6d73375c490028be6a76 Support the show (https://www.patreon.com/join/Laviecreative)

Ephemeral Awaking by Luana StebuleI have long been familiar with Luana Stebule's visual work, her paintings. But I did not know she wrote poetry until she asked me to read and edit this volume. I found it quite astonishing how, in many ways, she manages to translate the same sensibilities and influences found in her paintings into her written work. Though these poems, of course, stand alone on their own merit, they can also be read as extensions of her paintings. It is with great pleasure that I am able to say I helped this work see publication and get into your, the reader's, hands. American writer and professor of English language Robert Masterson.I have now been living and creating for a nearly a decade in the United Kingdom. My works previously included many projects for theatrical stage settings, mural paintings, together with 24 solo and 37 shared exhibitions in Europe: Italy, Spain, Switzerland, Lithuania, Hungary, Poland, England and in the United States. To briefly recap I was born in Lithuania, in 1962. In Antanas Martinaitis Art School and Academy of Art I was taught art techniques, styles and the finer points of the craft. However, I think amongst the most important influences in the creativity, deepest understanding and originality in my work comes from infinity, God and immortality. The spiritual level of artworks is very important to me. Many years ago, Leonardo Da Vinci wrote “Where the spirit does not work with the hand there no art”. My artworks are poems on canvas. In order to achieve particular expressions, I stylize forms by simplifying them in my own unique way. My pictures have elements of surrealism, pointillism and conceptualism. The idea behind artwork is very important to me. My current artworks are traditional, oil on canvas, though for many years my favourite technique was the production of collages with use of numerous materials including wood, sawdust, mirrors, leather and textiles. Layer by layer these imbued the richness of the final surface. The pictures provide a physical body to juxtapose and suffuse it veritably with a jazz of visual performance. Picture sales have previously been by traditional methods of exhibitions and word of mouth, only in 2018, when I participated in Art Expo New York, I created a website and become visible on the world of the internet. 2 Since 2018 I have received some recognitions.By the International Art Market Magazine I was selected to be on the Gold List as one of the Top Artists of Today. In January 2020 in Florence, I was awarded the 3 rd International Leonardo Da Vinci prize and in September - the New York City Prize. In 2020 my artworks included in the Art Anthologies “Important World Artists 2020” and “International Current Masters 2021” published by “Artavita” in the US. Also, in 2020 my artworks also appeared in the book “The Great Masters of Contemporary Art”. Most recently in 2021, one of my artworks selected into the book “Best 2021 Modern and Contemporary Artists”, in 2021 I was awarded the “Dante Alighieri International Prize”. https://www.amazon.com/Ephemeral-Awaking-Luana-Stebule/dp/172839533X/ref=sr_1_1?keywords=Ephemeral+Awaking&qid=1638399033&s=books&sr=1-1https://www.luanastebulefineart.co.uk/http://www.bluefunkbroadcasting.com/root/twia/lstebuleec.mp3

He served three assassinated American leaders, including President Lincoln. Along with John Nicolay, he co-wrote a ten-volume biography of Abraham Lincoln that helped shape his legacy. Like Lincoln, John lost a son, and the loss profoundly affected him. Three years later, he wrote, The death of our boy made my wife and me old at once and for the rest of our lives. After the death of his father-in-law, John became enormously wealthy and took over the family business and investments. His family enjoyed regular trips to Europe, a grand mansion in Washington D.C., and a cottage in New Hampshire that John called the Fells. John had cobbled together 1,000 acres of land after quietly buying up abandoned farms. The etymology of The Fells name was Scottish and means rocky upland pastures. John especially enjoyed time at The Fells, which overlooked pastoral view. In the foreground, sheep grazed among prehistoric boulders that dotted the landscape, and in the distance were views of scenic Lake Sunapee. John's wife, Clara, was a gardener, and she had a special love for roses and hydrangeas. In 1890, John wrote, I was greatly pleased with the air, the water, the scenery. I have nowhere found a more beautiful spot. In terms of poetry, John was best known for a collection of post-Civil War poems compiled into a book called Pike County Ballads (1871). Here's one of his poems called Words, in which he uses nature to show the power a simple word can have on our lives. When violets were springing And sunshine filled the day, And happy birds were singing The praises of the May, A word came to me, blighting The beauty of the scene, And in my heart was winter, Though all the trees were green. Now down the blast go sailing The dead leaves, brown and sere; The forests are bewailing The dying of the year; A word comes to me, lighting With rapture all the air, And in my heart is summer, Though all the trees are bare.   October 8, 1934  Birth of J. Carter Brown, American art expert, intellectual, and visionary. He was the director of the U.S. National Gallery of Art from 1969 to 1992. Although he was born in a family of great wealth - the Browns of Newport, the Browns of Brown University - he was a champion of public access to art. He believed people needed to see art in person and used a garden analogy to drive that point home: No one will understand a Japanese garden until you've walked through one, and you hear the crunch underfoot, and you smell it, and you experience it over time. Now there's no photograph or any movie that can give you that experience.   October 8, 1930 Birth of Faith Ringgold, American painter, writer, mixed media sculptor, and performance artist.  Faith was born in Harlem into a family that embraced artistic creativity. She grew up after the Harlem Renaissance, and her neighborhood was home to the likes of Duke Ellington and Langston Hughes. One of her childhood friends was jazz musician Sonny Rollins. Growing up, Faith had chronic asthma, so she learned to pass the time indoors, creating visual art with the help of her mom. She became an expert seamstress and began experimenting with fabric as a medium for her art. Today Faith is known for her narrative quilts. One of her most beloved quilts is Sunflowers Quilting Bee at Arles, which depicts a group of African American women working on a sunflower quilt with Van Gogh off to the side, bringing them a vase of sunflowers. In 1999, Faith had a garden installed at her Englewood, New Jersey home. She says, [I love] to be able to look at the garden the first thing every morning, and I love to paint the green in as many ways as I can.  For many years now, Faith has hosted a garden party in June to benefit the Anyone Can Fly Foundation. The mission of the Anyone Can Fly Foundation is to expand the art establishment's canon to include artists of the African Diaspora and to introduce the Great Masters of African American Art and their art traditions to children and adult audiences. In 2019, there was an exhibition of Faith's art at the Serpentine Gallery in Hyde Park/Kensington Gardens.   Unearthed Words Something had shifted between us, faintly, but the change was almost palpable. Our friendship had sat lightly between us, an ephemeral thing, without weight or gravity. Once, in the Boboli Gardens, “Bo-bah-lee” under the shadow of a cypress tree on an achingly beautiful October afternoon, he had kissed me, a solemnly sweet and respectful kiss. But weeks had passed, and we had not spoken of it. I had attributed it to the sunlight, shimmering gold like Danaë's shower, “Dan ah ee” and had pressed it into the scrapbook of memory, to be taken out and admired now and then, but not to be dwelled upon too seriously. Perhaps I had been mistaken. ― Deanna Raybourn, Silent in the Sanctuary   Grow That Garden Library Epitaph for a Peach by David M. Masumoto This book came out in 1996, and the subtitle is Four Seasons on My Family Farm. This memoir is a personal favorite. Mas's lyrical writing is a pleasure to read. Here are a few gems from the book: A new planting is like having another child, requiring patience and sacrifice and a resounding optimism for the future. I try to rely less and less on controlling nature. Instead, I am learning to live with its chaos. Good neighbors are worth more than an extra sixteen trees. Mas is an organic peach farmer who shares his story with humor, grace, and incredible insight into the natural world. The New York Times said, [Masumoto is] a poet of farming and peaches. This book is 256 pages of thoughts on growing from a peach farmer with the soul of a poet. You can get a copy of Epitaph for a Peach by David M. Masumoto and support the show using the Amazon Link in today's Show Notes for around $2.   Today's Botanic Spark Reviving the little botanic spark in your heart October 8, 1915 Birth of William E. 'Bill' Vaughan (pen name Burton Hillis), American columnist and author. In addition to his magazine features, he wrote a syndicated column for the Kansas City Star for over three decades. His folksy sayings include, Suburbia is where the developer bulldozes out the trees, then names the streets after them. Experience teaches that love of flowers and vegetables is not enough to make a man a good gardener.  He must also hate weeds. The best of all gifts around any #Christmas tree: the presence of a happy family all wrapped up in each other. Bill Vaughan was beloved for his humor and his friendliness. He generally wrote thirteen paragraphs of humorous observations every single day for his column. He also was an artist. A 1970 profile of Bill in his beloved Kansas City Star stated, [He] has always had what art lovers describe as unfortunate yearnings to be an artist. While testing his fledgling wings as a columnist in Springfield, Vaughan became adept at drawing deep one-column sketches that relieved him substantially of the responsibility of filling the space with words. The day Vaughan filled virtually an entire column with a drawing of a garden hose with very little at either end, the editor ordered a halt to this sort of thing.   Thanks for listening to The Daily Gardener. And remember: "For a happy, healthy life, garden every day."

For the first time since 2008, Baylor will travel to Lubbock this week — that was Art Briles' first year, so it's been awhile. Two not-so-great teams will meet there, with the 1-4 Bears seeing injuries start to mount while the Red Raiders are just 2-5. Who do you think needs a win more, Tech or Baylor? It's Matt Wells' second year now at Tech, and while he didn't exactly inherit a juggernaut from Kliff Kingsbury, Red Raider fans have to be frustrated with the progress. After a 4-8 campaign last year and despite a strange COVID season this year, do you think that, long term, Wells is the answer in Lubbock? Baylor got some devastating injury news this week when it lost linebacker Terrel Bernard and running back Craig “Sqwirl” Williams to season-ending injuries. Bernard was arguably Baylor's best all-around player, leading the Big 12 in tackles per game at 11 per contest and ranking fifth in the league with 3.5 sacks. It's easy to forget, though, that he was a backup player in 2019 until Clay Johnston went down with his own season-ending injury. So, is there a breakout, Bernard-type impact guy waiting in the wings for the Bears? Around the league, the only other game this week is West Virginia and TCU. The Frogs are 3-3 this year, with the three wins all coming over their in-state Big 12 rivals (Texas, Baylor and Texas Tech). Recent social media commentary has suggested that Gary Patterson is overrated as a coach. So we'll bite: is overrated, underrated or maybe just properly rated? Finally, it's Masters week, which is extremely strange to say in November. Matt has covered the Masters a bunch of times — he gives us an inside look at what it's like at Augusta and some of his favorite experiences working with Jim Nantz and others. Episode 7: Barry Marcus - Creative Culture Dear Reader: Barry Marcus' story about Creative Culture touches on a number of questions related to the impact that arts learning can have on youth development. One of these is how active art making can strengthen a sense of ownership and agency in young artists. If this peaks your interest you might want to take a look at : http://www.creativeplacemaker.net/blog (23 Admonitions, Insights and Ideas from the Great Masters) at the Center for the Study of Art and Community's website. Transcript Bill Cleveland: Barry Marcus is clever, funny, and a good friend. He also personifies one of my favorite human characteristics; that's quirkiness. You never know what he's going to do, or say, or sing for that matter. Barry Marcus: The duck goes quack, the cow says moo I say hello, how do you do? You talk to me and I'll listen to you Talking and a squawkin'' till our lips turn blue  BC: Now, that's Barry singing the title track from his CD of children's songs. These days, he describes himself as a visual storyteller. Back in the 90s, when I met him, he was not only a prolific songwriter, but also a therapist and a director of children's mental health programs. Although the first spark in our friendship was through music, our enduring connection has been fueled by our mutual passion for exploring the kinds of questions that have sustained our lives work and giving rise to this podcast. Namely, can the creative process be a potent force for healing and change, and if so, how do we do that really, really well?  From the Center for the Study of Art and Community, this is Change the Story, Change the World and I'm Bill Cleveland. We're calling today's episode creative culture, and today's conversation with creative culture, facilitator, and advocate Barry Marcus took place during May of 2020. For myself in Alameda, California and Barry on Bainbridge Island near Seattle, we were coming to the end of our third month living at the intersection of six feet and Sequesterville. Part One: Rhythms and Seasons. With your permission, I would like to ask you to recount a piece of your history. A focus of bringing creative process to bear on very difficult circumstances, particularly for young people that you were serving at the place called Families First. Would you be willing to talk about how it came about, how you came to it, and what happened? BM: Well, can I give a little prelude to that?  You know, I was at the Sacramento children's home for 13 years prior to that. And because of my role as one of the directors, holding the position of intake, and seeing how people translated what an intake summary looked like into their day to day residential care. These kids were 24 hours a day in the care. In both circumstances--the children's home and Families First--these are kids that blew out of foster homes. Multiple, five, seven foster homes are had very acute and dramatic needs to be removed. They were in institutions, and the people that worked with them primarily besides the clinical step are really the line staff, and they're called childcare work. And they would look at an intake summary, and they would see this description of a troubled child, most often, behaviorally, because that's how children experience trauma, and they would define them by their deficits. So, the first thing I did was I created a thing called “guess who's coming”. Instead of saying, here's this broken-down kid and that's it, I said, here's the profile of our newest guests. And the first they thought it was a joke, but it said, Oh, no, I want you to treat this child like a guest.  So, in essence, what I really knew was that these children could be relegated to the garbage basket, as soon as they entered the door or sometimes even before. I was recruited as a creative person. What I wanted to do is use the institutional setting as a community of creativity, and use the children's lives and... Support this podcast

Words of Wisdom from four of the Great Masters on the subject of The ONE~ God/Tao/Universal Mind/ConsciousnessJESUS~  The One is invisible, imperishable and un-namable. IT is not a God. Nothing exists above IT, and nothing existed before IT. IT is Unity and cannot be differentiated. IT is the Father of All and IT exists above All. IT is the Light in which no eye can look. IT is beyond perfection. IT exists outside of time. IT is without qualities and IT contains All qualities. IT is eternal, and IT alone exists.  ~The Apocryphon of John KRISHNA~  I AM the Soul that exists in everything, I AM the beginning, middle, and end of all lives. I AM the Mind dwelling in all things. I AM Light. I AM Consciousness. I AM the eternal Word. I AM the ONE who never changes. I AM the Master over the future, and Lord of death. I AM in all things, and nothing moves without ME. ~ The Bhagavad GitaBUDDHA~   Ultimate Reality is immovable but is the cause of movement. Only through great insight will one comprehend this such-ness.   ~ A Manual on Zen Buddhism LAO TZU~  Before heaven and earth came into existence, there was only the ONE which never changes. It exists in sacred Silence, and IT is unaffected by actions. IT holds all things in its loving embrace but asks nothing for itself. What do I call this Nameless One? I call it Tao. ~The Tao Te Chingwww.christinabauer.com

The eruption of Mount Tambora in 1815 was a disaster for the Dutch East Indies, but its astonishing consequences were felt around the world, blocking the sun and bringing cold, famine, and disease to millions of people from China to the United States. In this week's episode of the Futility Closet podcast we'll review the volcano's devastating effects and surprising legacy. We'll also appreciate an inverted aircraft and puzzle over a resourceful barber. Intro: The Veterinary Record addressed an overlooked species in 1972. Goats like towers. Welcome to Secrets of Organ Playing Podcast #78! http://www.organduo.lt/podcast Today's guest is Jean-Paul IMBERT, organist from France. Born in Clermont-Ferrand in 1942, he studied piano and organ : at the early age of 15 he was appointed organist of the church of Sainte Jeanne d'Arc. In Paris he studied with Pierre Cochereau and Jean Guillou whose assistant he was from 1971 to 1993 in Saint-Eustache. In 1993, he was appointed as organist on the Kleuker instrument of Notre-Dame des Neiges in Alpe d'Huez and was responsible for organising concerts with organists from all over the world. Since 1988, he has organised workshops there with students from different countries and schools. These workshops were developed into training courses with musicians such as Cornel Pana, who teaches Pan flute, and conductor and violonist Christian Ciuca for courses in high standards of choral singing ; operatic performers such as Jean Louis Serre and Marie-Therese Keller. Since 1999 he has taught every year at Bad-Rippoldsau in the Black Forest. From 1997 to 2006 he was the organist in the Basilica of Notre Dame du Perpétuel Secours in Paris where he contributed largely to the reputation of this magnificent contemporary instrument by organising a series of concerts « Organ in Duet », but also at the time of it's official inauguration with the orchestra of the Schola Cantorum conducted by Michel Denis in September 2004. He made several recordings on that organ . Since 1982 he taught at the Schola Cantorum, and his classes have produced a number of artists of international repute. His concerts have seen him mostly in Europe where he intrigued the public with his innovative registration, exploring all the possibilities offered by the instruments. He has taken part in the most renown festivals: Caen, Chartres, Radio-France, Ravenna, Torino, Cambridge, Rome, Roquevaire, Bordeaux, Moscow, Freiburg in Brisgau, Gdansk-Oliwa, Portsmouth, Lausanne. He has a strong passion for Bach, and also the romantic school, and his interpretations are always colourful and lively. He has written a number of transcriptions of works by Prokoviev, Rachmaninov, Grieg, Liszt, Verdi, and Wagner. He has received distinctions such as « Officier des Arts et des Lettres » from the minister for Culture in 2010 and in 2014 was awarded the « Palmes Academiques » by the minister for Education. His discography incudes magnificent instruments: Saint-Eustache in Paris, Tonhalle of Zürich, Saint-Sernin in Toulouse, Saint-Etienne de Caen, Saint-Bonaventure of Lyon, Notre-Dame des neiges in Alpe d'Huez, Notre-Dame du Perpétuel Secours in Paris. He has recorded not only a number of little known and rarely played works, but also transcriptions of great orchestral works, some of them written by him. For some recordings he received awards such as The Academie Charles Cros. There are also recordings of duets with the trumpetist Guy Touvron, the oboeist Antoine Sebillote and the flautist Gabriel Fumet. In this conversation Diego talks the lessons he learned from the great masters, playing organ for ski tourists and arranging organ transcriptions. Enjoy and share your comments below. And don't forget to help spread the word about the SOP Podcast by sharing it with your organist friends. Thanks for caring.
