Netflix stock, profitable trading, sector rotation, and risk management all come down to one thing: knowing what deserves your capital and what does not. In this video, I break down why I think there may be better stock market opportunities than Netflix right now, the five skills every trader should master, and how I identify where money is rotating before the crowd catches on.The biggest lesson is simple: I don't try to avoid every loss—I try to limit it. I start by answering whether Netflix is a damaged stock or a long-term buying opportunity. Netflix was once the undisputed leader in streaming, but the competition has changed. YouTube, Amazon Prime, Twitch, Kick, and other platforms are fighting for the same attention, and I explain why Netflix's recent business moves have not convinced me that it is currently the best place to put new long-term capital.Join our Exclusive Patreon!!! This week, in Brunswick, Georgia, the discovery of two bodies, stacked in a storage shed unravels the wild story of a strange family, and a town that goes into lockdown mode. The man accused of these awful killings has an explanation, but it's as crazy as the actual murders, and pretty hard to believe. In the end, we have no idea if this killer's sister put him up to it, or even if she tried to have another husband killed. What we do know is that doesn't seem to be a family that you'd want to marry into!! Along the way, we find out that Elvis impersonators have a very odd niche in the entertainment industry, that you shouldn't let your bail jumping brother come live with you, and that no one has ever actually tried to play tug of war, using their teenage daughter as the rope!! Harry Jowsey joins Jordana and Jared to talk about how he was engaged to 20 women at once for his new Netflix's show, Let's Marry Harry, what changed for him after losing his father and why dating is harder when it's played out on social media! Harry weighs in on listener questions where the guy asks for a first-date ultimatum and whether it's ok to date multiple people at once, and why he'd rather text than call someone for a breakup. We learn a lot about Harry and how charming he is and why you should watch his new show! Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
This week we're breaking down a 75-year Harvard study that found the biggest predictor of a successful adult by age 25 wasn't grades, test scores, or extracurriculars, it was whether they did chores starting at age three or four. We get into why that is, plus three rules for making chores actually work in your house (hint: don't pay for them). We also share an easy first-date hack from Logan Ury (whose new Netflix show, The Later Daters, we mentioned last week): ditch the small talk and jump straight into the middle of a story instead. It works for any nerve-wracking new-people situation, not just dates. Plus, a simple nightly ritual called C.A.P. (Celebrate, Appreciate, Prioritize) to close out your day, a few decluttering tips for a clearer mind, and some sentences that we can't stop thinking about. Oh, and we finally watched "A Toxic Love Story" after all our talk about it, and we have thoughts. Get some Feeling Things merch by clicking HERE! Game of Roses reviews Netflix's Let's Marry Harry, Alex Cooper's latest attempt at reality dating television starring Harry Jowsey. PaceCase and BachelorClues break down the bizarre engagement format, questionable eliminations, underdeveloped players, Harry's chaotic gameplay, and the moments that somehow made PaceCase enjoy the season. From the low-budget mansion dates to the much stronger final stretch in New Zealand, they examine why a show featuring one of reality TV's most notorious players feels like The Bachelor and Love Is Blind mashed together—and why Clues believes Alex Cooper still hasn't figured out how to produce a great reality competition show.Subscribe to Game of Roses on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/gameofrosesPatreon: https://patreon.com/gameofrosesMerch: https://gameofroses.orgListen on Apple Podcasts: http://bit.ly/gameofrosesListen on Spotify: http://bit.ly/spotifygameofroses Hosted on Acast. On this episode of Slingshot Nation, we dive into the disturbing world of American vampires, beginning with the mysterious death of George Gall and claims that he was sacrificed as part of occult vampire activity. His story was set to be explored in the Netflix documentary "Vampires in the Gem City", but the project was unexpectedly cancelled just before its release date. We connect that case to other strange accounts and encounters recorded on The Confessionals, including James' terrifying experience from Episode 512, Desert Portal Death Cults. From occult rituals and secret groups to bizarre firsthand encounters, we explore whether these stories are isolated incidents or pieces of something much larger. Josh Murphy is a filmmaker whose path from fisheries biology and action-sports films to environmental documentaries has been anything but conventional. His work includes Artifishal, Purple Mountains, The Scale of Hope, and a recent Netflix film exploring plastics and human health, with stories that tackle everything from wild salmon and climate change to mental health and community-led conservation. In this episode of Anchored, Josh and I talk about his early fascination with water and Jacques Cousteau, his transition into filmmaking, his work with Patagonia, the emotional weight of documentary storytelling, and why he believes powerful films should do more than entertain... they should give people a reason to care and a way to act. Welcome to The Last House… where the rain is salty, the creatures are creepy, and apparently nobody thought to ask, “Wait… what the hell is going on?” This week, we're breaking down Netflix's latest thriller and getting into the creatures, the symbolism, the family dynamics, and ALL the questions this movie left us with.We both agree on one thing: this one is NOT worth the stream this weekend. So lock the doors, grab your popcorn, and press play to hear why The Last House became a house we definitely didn't want to stay in.
The intriguing historical drama "The Brink of War" focuses on the 1986 Reykjavik nuclear disarmament talks between Ronald Reagan and Mikhail Gorbachev. Jeff Daniels and Jared Harris portray the Cold War leaders and J.K. Simmons plays Secretary of State George Schultz. First time filmmaker Michael Russell Gunn speculates about what the dialogue between these philosophical opponents may have been like. He reportedly interviewed Schultz and was granted access to some of the Secretary's transcripts. While it isn't dramatically riveting, it's well-acted and surprisingly timely. “The Brink of War” is a thoughtful and involving history lesson. Adam Sandler's daughter Sophie gets her chance in the spotlight in the Netflix comic drama, "Don't Say Good Luck." Sophie plays a sophomore who gets the lead in her high school's production of the musical “Waitress.” Things get complicated as her mom, played by Melanie Lynskey, struggles with recurrent cancer. “Don't Say Good Luck” is lightweight and a bit soapy, but the sincere performances and general good vibes make it a poignant and uplifting tale. The Netflix horror entry "The Last House" attempts a new twist on the alien invasion genre. Wagner Moura and Greta Lee play a married couple who gets trapped with their two kids when a strange rainfall seals them in their home. They struggle to survive while never quite understanding just what's going on. There will undoubtedly be many moments when you will ask, "Hey, what about..?" The screenwriters don't cover their bases which undermines the proceedings. Director Louis Leterrier pumps up the action in the final scenes, but “The Last House” is still a slow-moving sci-fi thriller.

This week, in Emporia, Kansas, relationships spin out of control between two couples, resulting two different brutal murders, committed in totally different ways, by a most unliekly pair of killers. The cast of characters includes a Pastor, an Army Sergeant turned "medical technologist", a math professor, the "lady of the town", a pair of strange brothers that includes a welder/hair dresser, and a whole cast of confused detectives, trying to put this mess together. The whole thing is as horrifying as it is insane!! Along the way, we find out that Kansas is apparently halfway to everywhere, that some bridges are scary, whether there are ghosts, or not, and that even after you're convicted of killing your wife, you can apparently still be a marriage counselor!! Harry Jowsey has had a long and winding road through the world of reality dating TV, most notably “Too Hot to Handle” and “Perfect Match.” He rode his success from these Netflix hits to a podcast deal with Alex Cooper's Unwell network – and now, his own reality dating show, “Let's Marry Harry.” In this bonus, Leigh and Claire discuss a show that promises to marry the inveterate womanizer off for good. From its gimmicky concept (all 20 contestants are immediately given engagement rings and referred to as his “fiancées”) to its ill-fated attempt at a redemption arc for Harry, this show is wildly entertaining, frequently alarming, and offers much food for thought about the current state of the reality dating space and masculinity discourse.

Mark Walter bought the Lakers in October at a $10 billion valuation and just sold them to Josh Kushner and Bob Iger for $12.5 billion, clearing a $2.5 billion profit in under a year. Covino and Rich react to the biggest flip in sports history and then dig up the other great steals: Steinbrenner getting the Yankees from CBS for $10 million, Jerry Jones buying the Cowboys for $140 million, Blockbuster passing on Netflix at $75 million, Facebook grabbing Instagram for a billion, Manhattan for a satchel of beads, and the part of the Babe Ruth sale nobody bothers to explain. There is also a $600 hair restoration helmet that showed up on a clearance shelf in Idaho for fifty bucks. Then it is time for They Might Be Ass, where Rich goes through the Arizona Cardinals schedule game by game and explains why the Carson Beck preseason hype is a trap and why Vegas setting the win total at three and a half is still too generous. And because today is the anniversary of South Park's 1997 debut, the guys count down their top three adult cartoons of all time, with Beavis and Butt-Head, Ren and Stimpy, Gravity Falls, Family Guy and South Park all in the mix. "Girls5eva" is a sitcom that premiered on Peacock in 2021 where members of a one-hit-wonder girl group from the late '90s unexpectedly get another shot at fame when their biggest song is sampled by a popular young rapper. Now juggling the realities of getting older, the girls decide to reunite and prove their pop-star dreams don't have an expiration date. The series combines ridiculously catchy original songs with the rapid-fire comedy you'd expect from the team behind "30 Rock." Despite earning rave reviews, "Girls5eva" had almost as much trouble staying alive as the fictional group at its center. After two seasons on Peacock, the show was picked up by Netflix for a third, giving the girls yet another chance at a comeback. But will the S1E1 boys be ready to join the Girls5eva fan club, or will they be saying goodbye 4eva? Listen as they deep dive the show's pilot episode and find out. Starring: Sara Bareilles, Busy Philipps, Paula Pell, Renée Elise Goldsberry, Dean Winters, & Jimmy Fallon www.S1E1POD.com Instagram & X (Twitter): @S1E1POD

What happens when artists stop waiting for Hollywood to pick them? I sit down with creator-economy entrepreneur Zack Honarvar to talk about how the entertainment industry is changing, why creators have more power than ever, and what artists need to understand about building an audience in the new Hollywood. In this episode, Zack Honarvar and I talk about: the creator economy and the decline of traditional Hollywood gatekeepers the difference between creators and celebrities—and why prestige still matters why actors, musicians, and artists need to learn how to command attention using social media to create your own opportunities instead of waiting to be discovered why the artists who learn to love promotion will have an unfair advantage Zack also shares his perspective on YouTube creators moving into traditional entertainment, Netflix licensing creator content, building businesses around your creative work, and why publicly claiming your biggest career goals can actually help you achieve them. If you're ready to become the next big thing and want to work with me directly to become a Self-Made Celebrity, head to the link in the show notes to learn how to coach with me. Brandi has a wild conspiracy about the LaGuardia airport after spending all day there watching flights get grounded under clear blue skies. The only explanation? Aliens. Meanwhile, Wells checks in from a 70mm IMAX screening of Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey. Hot take alert... Tom Holland the weak link. From there it's a full favorite-things run: a Netflix documentary that goes somewhere nobody saw coming, a Hulu thriller you can't look away from, a children's cartoon about a neurodivergent raccoon, and Wells' new life plan to become Ian Fleming and retire to a taco stand on an island with Matt.
