(This is a clip from our List Buiilding for Fashion & Jewelry Designers class.) Why will people buy from you instead of somebody else? It's important in your business to know what you're selling and to have words for it. If you know EXACTLY what you're selling, you can say it in every video, and in all of your copy and marketing messages. Most of us worry that if we get narrow with our marketing message, we won't have a big enough audience to sell to. We tend to worry that a tight niche could be too narrow, but the opposite is true. Going narrow nelps your sales! And the thing is, it's hard. It's actually super hard to know what you're selling and be able to say it so people "get it" right away. The goal is to define a unique selling point (USP) for your products (or even start with just a category of your products) that people understand. This episode is a clip from a recent online class and my guest is jewelry designer, Magdalena, from MNOP Jewelry. Ask any gym owner what they'd want for their gym right now…. a vast majority of them would say more clients. But at the same time, one of the hardest things most owners have a hard time conceptualizing is how to make their gyms different from all others in the marketplace. This is important because, in the eyes of the consumer, if all gyms look the same and seem to offer the same service, they'll go for the cheapest. It then becomes a race to the bottom, which is something we all don't want.Your task, therefore, is to create something unique, then market it to consumers as the reason they'll get results compared to the competition.Tune in to this episode to get tips on differentiating yourself to get more clients!Key Takeaways- Rethink everything (02:08)- The perceived value of quality (06:27)- What's your proprietary formula (10:09)- Higher price equals value (13:49)- How the marketplace responds to something unique (16:04)- Give the consumer something different (19:09)Additional Resources - Grab your tickets for 2023 FitPro Growth Summit- Learn more about our Business Accelerator Coaching Program for Gym Owners - Business Talk with Fitness Professionals Facebook group - Learn more about The Iron Circle
Today's episode is one that I've been looking forward to for a long time, featuring Miss Audrey Brynn (@AudreyBrynn1), a professional domanitrix from London, whose perspective on men, sex, incels, desire, and this podcast is worth its metaphorical weight in gold! She even has a background in criminology, which I didn't know until we spoke… She reached out a few months ago, after having listened to a bunch of episodes, and said she loved the show, and had some clients that were probably incels. She didn't offer to come on as a guest, I asked her — something just told me she'd be amazing… she said she'd think about it. We talked again, a couple weeks later, she agreed, and we set a date!_________________________________________ "This Year's Girl" by Elvis Costello. 1978.
