Exciting opportunity for small to medium business owners employing 5-30 team members. Are you ready to learn, grow, and invest in your ongoing development? Don't miss out on our latest podcast featuring a special guest who shares invaluable insights for business success. In this episode, Troy asked Susannah George, Founder of Urban List based in Brisbane, Australia, the final five questions: Susannah acknowledges that the hardest part of growing a small business lies in "getting the right people in the right seats." She emphasizes the need to recognize that the right team members today might not align with the business's future goals. Susannah draws inspiration from "Traction," authored by Gino Wickman. She highlights Wickman's concept of GWC—Get it, Want it, Capability to do it—as a valuable framework for ensuring the right people are in the right roles. While Susannah doesn't stick to specific tools religiously, she actively seeks out podcasts and online content that resonate with her current experiences and learning objectives, enabling continuous growth. According to Susannah, the essential tools for small business growth include coaching and self-awareness. These elements facilitate strategic decision-making and personal development. Finally, Susannah's advice to her past self upon embarking on her entrepreneurial journey 11 years ago is to "trust yourself, live bravely, and fall in love with possibility." This empowering mindset has played a pivotal role in her success. Book a 20-minute Growth Chat with Troy Trewin to see if you qualify for our upcoming course. Don't miss out on this opportunity to take your small business to new heights! Enjoyed the podcast? Please leave a review on iTunes or your preferred platform. Ever wondered about the intriguing intersection of AI and content creation? Join me and the remarkable David Forman as we explore this dynamic domain. David, a seasoned digital marketer, brings a wealth of knowledge to our discussion, sharing his experiences of how Chat GPT can amplify your efficiency and effectiveness in content creation. But remember, it's not a magic bullet. The quality of the output is directly proportional to the input. We emphasize the need to add your own perspective and wisdom to truly unlock the potential of this tool.Key Points:AI as a Tool in Content Creation (01:08 - 02:34)David views AI, specifically ChatGPT, as a valuable tool in the content creation process. While it can't solve all problems or write every piece of content, it can be a helpful assistant, especially for solo entrepreneurs or those needing a second opinion. The Importance of Human Interaction in AI (02:47 - 03:11)Kendra and David agree that AI needs human interaction to be effective. It can help increase efficiency and effectiveness to a point, but it's only as good as the input it's given.AI and SEO (06:49 - 07:37)David discusses the potential impact of AI-generated content on SEO. He emphasizes that while AI can generate knowledgeable content, it may not necessarily contribute to a website's authority or trustworthiness, which are crucial for SEO.The Role of AI in Website Building and Content Creation (11:33 - 14:13)David warns against over-reliance on AI for website building and content creation. While AI can provide a good start, it's important to personalize and individualize the content to truly represent the business.Leveraging AI and Overcoming Objections (17:59 - 22:23)Kendra and David discuss common objections to using AI, including concerns about it not sounding like the user or not adding value. They argue that these objections often stem from a misunderstanding of AI's capabilities and purpose. The Importance of Testing and Progress Over Perfection (26:35 - 28:23)David's greatest marketing lesson is the importance of testing and not waiting for perfection. He encourages listeners to put out their 'minimum viable product' and then tweak and improve it based on feedback and results. For more information on Digital Marketing or if you're looking for a new website, please visit David's website https://www.iwantclarity.com/. We said what we said. Sometimes curating content is better than creating original content, especially for social selling! Suppose you or your company have the time and resources to create original content, and you send it to many people on LinkedIn to start a conversation. So how do you successfully leverage curated content for social selling? On this episode of Making Sales Social Live, our resident hosts, Brynne Tillman and Bob Woods, break down 11 ways for you to leverage curated content to start more conversations, including how to incorporate ChatGPT in this strategy. So tune in, get ready to focus, and discover how to do social selling wisely using curated content. Want a summarized version of these tips? We got you! Follow this metaphor...If your building materials brand is a top-performing automobile, the fuel that enables it to perform at high levels is the content you develop on behalf of that brand. You need to constantly fill the tank and ensure the fuel is mixed properly – blog posts, product features, thought leadership articles, infographics and more. That way, the engine of your brand continues to hum. But developing this quantity of original content is a heavy lift for any marketing team. How can you augment the organic content you're producing for your owned media channels, including your website, your blog, and your social media communities? Curated content is good solution. On this episode of Hubs & Drivers, Jeff Donaldson sits down with Scott Rogerson, CEO of UpContent, Inc. to discuss his company's powerful technology solution that allows brands to curate and share third-party content with their audiences as part of an effective content strategy. Yuriy Yarovy joins the podcast to shamelessly promote his Twitter curation tool, Dewey, but also to share his thoughts on the role of curated content: * Why content today demands curation * The role of trust in the content curation process * The future of content and where curation may or may not fit in Why Curated Content Is the Hottest Thing Since Sliced Bread: Episode Synopsis When it comes to understanding the value of curated content, Yuriy Yarovoy knows a thing or two. He's the founder of Dewey, a Chrome extension that lets you save tweets and categorize them in folders (as opposed to Twitter Bookmarks which is just a heap of unorganized mess). His idea was that what you bookmark on Twitter says a lot about you. If you're an expert in whatever field others might be interested in what you bookmark. Being able to organize your bookmarks into folders, etc. is a way of curating content. Meaning, instead of you having to scour Twitter for content, just have a look at what your favorite personalities are saving via Dewey. This speaks to a larger problem, the over-abundance of content. Anyone who's anyone is spitting out all sorts of content these days and most of it is utter crap. That means you need to spend way too much time sifting through content in order to separate out what's good and what's... not. To combat this, curated content has taken off. This is the age of the newsletter. Why spend so much time reading all sorts of content from all sorts of sites when only 5% of it is decent? Why not subscribe to a newsletter where content is expertly picked for you? (Which is why I subscribe to the SEOFOMO newsletter and why you should too. Do it now.) The point is, as the barrage of content continues, people will need a way to sift through it all without spending a ton of time doing so. Being someone who can do this for people, being someone who curates content, has a lot of potential in such an ecosystem. If you're someone who people trust, who people would rely on to have you pick the content they consume for them... then you might want to seriously consider putting out some form of curated content!
Consistency is key for so many things, and especially on social media, but creating all of that content can feel overwhelming or impossible. How do you show up consistently without social media taking your attention from all of your other responsibilities to your clients, your team, and your life outside of work? Jon Goode joins India to discuss moving the conversation from constant creation to content curation. We have been hosting guest posts on our blogs for quite some time, and today we are releasing some numbers that explain exactly how content curation works and how to make it work for you. We often receive feedback from people who did not know what they can get after asking us to publish a post on someone's site. Guest blogging is quickly emerging as a popular technique for content marketers. But it's still hard to find the right blogs to feature your guest post. Curated Content helps you search and discover top sites in your niche. Simply enter the keywords, categories, and tags that are most important to you and let Curated Content do the rest. 1) Build massive authority and trust through quality guest posting. 2) Find opportunities to guest post well in advance. 3) Create long-form content around specific keywords, or "niche" terms. 4) Read the other guest posts on a site to learn how you can be a valuable contributor. 5) Use "niche" research to find sites that accept guest posts on topics within your expertise. 6) Contact those sites with confidence and pitch yourself as a contributor. 7) Seek out niche communities that look like they would be interested in your work. 8) Make sure your pitches are short, contain no pitching. Curated Content is a blog that publishes guest posts. The guest post content is typically SEO optimized and written for a target keyword with the intent of ranking on Google. Curated Content offers an opportunity to get genuine backlinks and initial SEO authority. Guest blogging has been around since the internet's earliest days, but it wasn't until recent years that it became an essential part of SEO. Some approaches to guest blogging are done for the sole purpose of improving your rankings, and those are exactly what you don't want. We curate content -- providing posts that are full of links to improve your authority, inbound links to increase your search visibility, as well as the unique story that will engage and excite your audience. Check out our post on guest blogging: https://seo.co/guest-blogging/ Guest posts still form a significant part of any link building campaign, but finding the right authors and topics to cover can be a time consuming and difficult task. Luckily, we've done all the legwork for you. Our team of researcher/blogger/writers will provide you with 100% free content that is hand curated to be relevant to your niche, and will not be live or duplicated in anyway. Not everyone can win over Simon Cowell, but today's guest did just that to get her golden ticket to Hollywood.Quigley, aka Casey Goode, shined as a contestant on season 8 of American Idol before getting cut during the semifinals round. Even though her dreams of making it as a musician came to a halt, Quigley's true spotlight moment didn't come until she discovered her love of photoshoot design & production, putting her creative genius front and center instead of letting a show define her story. Since then, she has become a digital content creator super star with her popular blog and Instagram account, @officiallyquigley, amassing 330,000 loyal followers. If her gorgeous shoots don't wow you, then her authentic personality will definitely make you a fan! Seriously, go check out her account. Her photo game is unmatched. These days, Quigley loves spending time with her husband and adorable baby, creating unique content, and teaching self-care and mindset to other creators through her education company, Soulcial Media. I actually first connected with Quigley when we collaborated on her Creator Course Bundle last year, and she truly has one of the best hearts. Listen in to hear us talk about the best tips for creating eye-catching photos for social media, the importance of showing off the unedited parts of life, and why quitting can be a good thing when you pause one passion to give yourself the time to pursue another.Connect with Quigley:www.officiallyquigley.comwww.soulcialmedia.com@officiallyquigley@thesoulcialmediaIf you enjoyed today's episode, please:Post a screenshot & key takeaway on your IG story and tag me @missellenyin & @cubicletoceo so I can repost you.Leave a positive review on Apple PodcastsSubscribe for new episodes every Monday ----- FREE RESOURCES:Service-based entrepreneurs, are you tired of being on the content hamster wheel + hustling for more followers without more income? In this week’s episode of Building a Modern Employer Brand -podcast, I want to talk to you about content curation. When we set out to do consistent talent marketing on social media, we need content to post about and share about. Often times we struggle keeping up with a posting rhythm and most often that happens because we feel like we have nothing to post about. Creating your own content, even if it was in the form of a social media post requires time and, well, having interesting enough to say. Curating existing content comes handy when you feel the infamous writer's block approaching.

This episode is one of those blueprint episodes where once you grab the notes and listen through, you’ll have a business model that you could implement either as a brand new one or model in your own niche if you want. We’re talking with Russ Henneberry, who is the founder of The Clikk.com, a newsletter business with awesome open rates. Listen in as he gives us the play by play that goes into his business and how he’s got his advertising dialed in so he does not need a sales team. Russ has a huge history of content marketing in general and has worked for some really large companies doing a lot of interesting things. With his newsletter, he sends out a daily email to digital business owners and is able to monetize it through affiliate marketing and sponsorships. Most of his content is essentially curated that he finds around the web that is relevant to his subscribers. We really go into a lot of topics such as how to get better open rates with your emails, how to get better deliverability so they actually make it to the inbox as well as how Russ is able to locate the content to curate. When you’re done, get some more advice about success with newsletters from our conversations with Doberman Dan and MaryEllen Tribby. “Every business has a couple of metrics that really need to be watched daily. And for us, open rate is that so it comes out that my advertisers are happy with the number of clicks they're getting simply because we're getting enough opens.” - Russ Henneberry Some Topics We Discussed Include: Three different monetization models and how to make money from each one How to charge CPM’s for your advertisers How to get referrals for lead generation Various ways to use contests in your marketing for viral shares Tips on improving your email marketing How to use this method in your own business model Proven examples of email headlines to get yours opened When to segment your list and how to clean it up How to re-engage those who haven’t opened up emails in a while And much, much more! The first successful business Justin Malik and Lee Rankinen started was reskinning pinball games for the iPhone, back in the old Wild West of the app world. Eventually, Apple moseyed over and kicked them out for being too spammy. They had lost their business, but they still had their idea. Lee and Justin turned to their love of optimal and minimalist living and asked their favorite writers for permission to make a daily, highly polished podcast from their work. That podcast was such a hit they started 4 more. Now The Optimal Living Daily podcast network is often ranked #1 on iTunes for health, with over 77 million downloads and counting. Listen in as Lee Rankinen and Justin Malik compare notes with Matt and Joe about how to monetize your podcast, overcome your anxieties to get on stage, and their many tips and tricks to automate your content production. After you’re done, check out our talks with Nick Loper and Tim Francis to learn more about automating your business to free up your life. “If the content is really good I don’t care who wrote it. If someone has a blog with 1 follower but their content is gold, I would much rather have that.” - Lee Rankinen Some Topics We Discussed Include: Why curated content is key for any podcast to succeed What kind of “reskinned” content you can’t use anymore How a minimalist lifestyle will get you to your life’s goals An essential trick to make editing audio a breeze The best way to find gaps in the market for your business Why using others content is actually hard work (and how to, eventually, make it easy!) There was a time when children couldn't wait until Saturday morning to sit down in front of the television and waste half a day watching cartoons. Today -- almost everywhere you turn -- there's another platform that delivers content, so much so that it's hard to keep up with all of them. Platforms like YouTube, Netflix and Amazon all deliver high-quality content that's accessible to anyone for free or at a low monthly cost, offering a large selection of shows catered towards younger audiences. The question PocketWatch aims to answer is exactly how much of that content is truly engaging and educational? To start, here's Chris Williams', CEO & Founder of PocketWatch's Elevator Pitch: "We are branded kids studio and we celebrate the new digital stars and formats [that] the kids are really passionate about and we bring them to kids everywhere."Listen to Karl Ulrich, Wharton’s Vice Dean of Entrepreneurship & Innovation, speak with Chris about how companies like Viacom see the potential in child-produced content.
