How do technology and trust create safer shopping centers?Security is easy to notice after something goes wrong. The harder question is whether owners and operators are doing enough before that moment arrives.Chris Ressa talks with Mark Bradshaw, vice president of property management at DLC, and Paul Ganz, vice president of business market development at LiveView Technologies, about how retail properties can reduce risk without making customers feel like they are entering a fortress.The answer is not another camera. But while all of these are some of the best of the best of the motion control era of gaming, my  true favorite lies within a much more lesser known title found on the 3DS (and I think PS Vita) made by Drinkbox Studios.  That game is Severed--a game about battling your way through a purgatory-like dreamworld full of demons that you slice and dice with a sword using your stylus!  The game's main themes are dealing with trauma, revenge, and loss.  And of course, it all ends with acceptance.

It seems that no matter where one looks in the gaming industry, there's bad news on the horizon. Such is certainly the case with Sony, as the Japanese company announced two pieces of bad news concurrent to one another: That beginning in 2028, PlayStation hardware will no longer receive disc-based releases, and that by next summer, you will no longer be able to buy digital PS3 and Vita games.
