We have to be responsible. We have to be accountable.” Under Newsom's proposal, 260 state programs would also have their funding slashed. Other cuts consist of closing housing units with more than 4,000 beds throughout 13 prisons in the state, saving almost $81 million. Additionally, $300 million that was helping to provide state and local health departments with COVID-19 pandemic-related help would be slashed, according to ABC7. Officials said students would “still have an opportunity to read, discuss, and analyze the play” about the aftermath of the 1998 murder of gay Wyoming college student Matthew Shepard “during the school day.” Which GOP senator blocked Sen. Tammy Duckworth's (D-IL) IVF protection bill because it could lead to human-animal hybrids? Cindy Hyde-Smith (R-MS) Sen. Cindy Hyde-Smith (R-MS), who also voted against the same bill when Duckworth proposed it in 2022, blocked the Access to Family Building Act, claiming protecting IVF rights would allow the creation of human-animal hybrids – called chimeras (Duckworth emphasized, “It does nothing of the sort"). Hyde-Smith also claimed the bill would legalize cloning and allow minor girls to become surrogates without their parents' consent. Students held a walk out at Owasso High School in Oklahoma. What were they protesting? Rampant bullying and anti-LGBTQ+ attitudes that may have led to Nex Benedict's death Nex Benedict was a trans student at Owasso who died last week, just a day after getting beaten in a school bathroom. “There's been bullying issues. This time, the bullying has gone so far that a student passed,” one former student said. Which animal was recently photographed having gay sex, sending the Internet into a frenzy of jokes? Humpback whales Humpback whales have never been observed having sex, but two randy males were filmed having a gay old time off the coast of Hawaii. A just-released research paper documents the encounter between the two males and notes that the two circled a boat off the coast before diving down a few meters below the surface to get it on. However, scientists don't call animals “gay,” “lesbian,” “bisexual,” or “queer” because the word connotes a human sexual orientation with strong cultural and political implications that are irrelevant to non-human species. Which governor recently blasted Republicans for elevating the rights of rapists over folks who desperately want to build families? Gavin Newsom (D-CA) In the wake of Alabama's anti-IVF ruling, Gov. Newsom accused the party of family values of granting more rights to rapists than to families, referring to the fact that GOP-led states continue to enact strict abortion laws that prevent people from obtaining an abortion even when they have become pregnant from rape while at the same time limiting access to IVF. 44-year-old Tristan Schukraft runs a telemedicine platform that provides free online PrEP for anyone with or without insurance, as well as STI testing in all 50 states, DC, and Puerto Rico. What did the American Psychological Association (APA) recently say about gender-affirming care for minors? State laws should not restrict it The APA announced a new policy resolution on Wednesday, opposing state laws restricting access to gender-affirming care for minors. The resolution said the laws are “a direct threat to the mental health and emotional well-being of transgender, gender-diverse, and nonbinary youth." Today we open with the inflation number out from December 2023 and it's official! In the three years since Joe Biden has been president, you are paying 20% more for everything. We continue to read about middle class American's needing to put more of their expenses on credit cards, while trying to make both ends meet. Regardless of the Hunter Biden stunt, the Oversight Committee and the Judiciary Committee both voted to have him held in contempt of Congress. It now moves to the floor of the House for a full vote, likely next week. From there it will go to AG Merrick Garland and then we will see if we have a two-tiered system of justice. And, in honor of Hunter's cowardly retreat from Rep. Marjorie Taylor-Greene (R-GA), we get a little ditty from my good buddy, Jim Gossett. Once again showing us the Left is always guilty of what they are accusing their opponents of, John Anthony Castro, the man behind bringing the lawsuits in 27 states to have Donald Trump's name taken off the ballot, has been arrested on 33 felony tax fraud counts. You can't make this stuff up! The Secretary of State in Connecticutt is encouraging voters in Bridgeport to show up in person. This is a reminder of the fallout from a suit brought in November showing obvious ballot-stuffing in dropboxes. Long-time listeners will remember that case from a few months back. And in a win for election integrity, a judge has thrown out a lawsuit in Ohio that claimed their new Voter ID laws were unconstitutional. Instead, the Clinton-era appointed judge said there was no burden placed on the voter. The Left loves showing us their soft bigotry of low expectations. Speaking of low expectations, the White House said they are conducting an internal review of communications related to the Lloyd Austion issue. Apparently we are to believe they have never thought of this before and need to know how to notify one another in the event of a possible emergency. Piers Morgan penned a fun piece in the New York Post when he wondered what Gov. Gavin Newsom (D-CA) and former president Bill Clinton might have been discussing when caught at a resort in Mexico. Morgan thinks it's all about Newsom replacing Biden before the DNC Convention later this year. As to Biden's campaign, apparently sources are saying they had an "off the record" scolding session for members of the Legacy/mainstream media for not carry the Democrats water more consistently. They even included spreadsheets showing where the media didn't do more to uphold the government narratives. DA Fani Willis has just be served papers to testify in the divorce proceedings of her appointed Special Prosecutor. The Big Fani Willis RICO case has definitely turned into the Big Fani Willis Realty TV Show and it's only going to get worse. Rep. Marjorie Taylor-Greene (R-GA) has asked the governor of Georgia and the AG of the state to open a criminal investigation into Willis and this entire debacle. Finally, showing once again how DIE hiring practices are eventually going to lead to real deaths, I share a snippet of audio between an air traffic controller and a pilot with 15+ years experience. On today's show we open our Friday episode with Tara Bull's Top 10 News stories the Legacy/mainstream media likely didn't cover. It's always fun to see how much we hit on this show in the past week versus what most people would know from traditional outlets. Next, we discuss a terrible trend in this country of acting the notion of someone is guilty until they prove themselves innocent. The Republican's just aiding in voting out Rep. George Santos (R-NY) based solely on charges, but no actual conviction. I'm not here to defend Santos. What I am defending is the premise that I thought we believed in the presumption of innocence in our country and now the Republican party has kicked that concept to the curb. We then move onto the question, if two people are having a debate in the woods and no one is around to hear it, did it make a noise? The Red State/Blue State debate on the Hannity Show between Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) and Gov. Gavin Newsom (D-CA) suffered from being irrelevant before it even started. There is no doubt DeSantis was the clear winner and that he is a wonderful governor. But, there is equally no doubt he will not be able to supplant Donald Trump as the presumptive nominee. Rep. Barry Loudermilk (R-GA), who is the Chair of the subcommittee looking at the work product of the prior J6 Committee, told us here on this show, a few months ago, that they were having trouble finding certain files. He just recently appeared with John Solomon and confirmed that many video files are also missing, including recorded statements and depositions. The “fraud” case in NYC brought by AG Letitia James gets even more curious after several bank witnesses this week testified that they made money off loans to the Trump company. How can there be a case of fraud when no one lost money? It's a curious thing, indeed. Trump attorney Alina Haba suggest that only fraud right now is what's being perpetrated on the people of New York at the hands of James and her irrational hatred of Donald Trump. Whomever is tweeting for Joe Biden, doesn't understand the concept of inflation. So, I once again illustrate how it works and how stupid most of the people in the current regime are. Hamas and Israel are back to fighting, which is not surprising given that two days ago, Hamas leader, Yahya Sinwar, said that October 7 was just a rehearsal and more was to come. But, that's okay. The Israeli Defense Minister said they were not going to stop until everyone in Hamas is dead, whether they dress in combat gear or three-piece suits, living in far off lands. Finally, we get to Joe Biden and another verbal gaff. The name he mistakes is actually a name he's mentioned before and that, too, has a history of showing how Biden was still comfortable making up stories that never happened. It just keeps getting worse. Take a moment to rate and review the show and then share the episode on social media. The Left has to manufacture their outrage and their propaganda

Today's show explores a few elements of the Left through the prism of having to manufacture their outrage. Before we start, I once again turn to my friend, Tara's, top 10 headlines the media didn't bother talking about for the week. You should really follow her on X @TaraBull808. The first story that follows is another upper level marketing executive at Anheuser-Busch has stepped down. The Bud Light line is still suffering since they decided it would be cute to let a prancing male unicorn, mock women and pretend to be a Bud Light drinker. Serves them right. Same goes for Target's continued spiral. Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R-FL) said the same thing I did on yesterday's show. She believes if those who stormed DNC headquarters had been wearing MAGA hats, they would all be in jail and the DOJ would be throwing the book at them. So far, we only know about one arrest. As she closes, she suggests Speaker Johnson should open an investigation into who is funding all of these pro-Hamas/pro-Palestine protests. Speaker Johnson needs only to call me because I can tell him. Neville Roy Singham has been on the FBI's radar for anti-American activities since the 70s and has ties to the CCP. Jodie Evans is the typical anti-American neo-leftist protester and the founder of Code Pink. The multi-millionaire couple, having made their fortunes in our capitalist country, now hate themselves and have decided to project that hate on everything that allowed them amass their wealth. Once again we discover the Left has to manufacture the appearance of widespread hate of Israel and of America. But, let's not paint with too wide a brush when it comes to the Palestinian people living in Gaza and the West Bank. It is important to not mix up Hamas and ordinary Palestinians. Not all Palestinians support the raping and torturing and kidnapping and killing of innocent Israelis. In fact, according to a recent survey conducted by the Arab World for Research and Development, 5.4% of Palestinians somewhat do not support what happened on October 7 and 7.3% of Palestinians are extremely against it! See, you can't just assume because 75% of Palestinians were either extremely or somewhat supportive of Hamas's attacks, that you should think they are all guilty of the same hate and beliefs. We just now learned the FBI was so desirous of painting all people at J6 as domestic terrorists that they pulled people off a case of a known pedophile, allowing the man to abuse a 10 year old boy. The FBI had to keep up the appearance of just how terrible Trump supporters are, that they allowed an innocent boy to become a victim of a known pedophile. Gov. Gavin Newsom (D-CA) just lied about a law in Tennessee. He claimed there is now a ban on being gay in public. Apparently, the chief executive of the state of California is incapable of reading the law, which states it is unlawful for ANYONE to have sex in public and in the presence of minors. But the Left has to manufacture a misrepresentation of the law to use in their ongoing propaganda campaigns to lie to and mislead their constituents. A new poll just came out showing a majority of Americans disapprove of Joe Biden's job performance, including a majority of men, Hispanics, people with college degrees and literally anyone under the age of 45. This might explain why Gov. Newsom is trying to hard to build his foreign relations resume so he can replace Joe Biden before 2024. BTW, a college professor by the name of Loay Alnaji was arrested for the murder of that Jewish man killed in California for holding the flag of Israel at a demonstration. We always see hate and physical violence from the Left. They lack the intellectual capacity to deal with reality. In positive news, an appeals court has said the gag order on Trump is unconstitutional. Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) says that Speaker Johnson is going to release the J6 videos in tranches and he said it will be in the coming days, not weeks. And Joe Biden commented at the APEC 2023 gathering that Gov. Newsom can be anything he wants, including “going out for the job I'm looking for.” See, I told you! Today's show opens with how quickly Gov. Gavin Newsom (D-CA) was able to clean up the streets of San Francisco when playing host to the leader of Communist China. It's yet another insight into what the modern Democrat party has become. They are not the party of your parents or grandparents. They see the power dictators have and they want that same power for themselves here. We then return to the ongoing carnage being caused by Frankenstein's Monster on the Left. A near riot broke out in Washington, D.C. outside of DNC headquarters. The “cease fire now” pro-Hamas crowd battled police and forced a lock-down where members of Congress had to be escorted to safety. CNN interviewed Rep. Brad Sherman (D-CA) who was there and provided an first-hand account. What's interesting is how he dropped a double-edged comment at the end. Initially, it sounds like he is chastising CNN for not focusing more on the pro-Israel rally from the other day? What he is really saying is, “Hey! CNN! Stop putting a spotlight on our monster. You are embarrassing us Democrats!” I then remind you what Hamas spokesperson Ghazi Hamad said on Arab television shortly after October 7. Their position is to eradicate Israel and all Jewish people and they will not stop so long as they are still breathing. You cannot have a culture of life coexist with a culture of death, it's just that simple. Someone purporting to be a son of a Hamas leader, either current or former, has something to say to the protesters who seem to support Hamas. Whether he is who he says he is may not be provable at the moment, but his message is right in line with what I have been saying for weeks. To back up the sentiment, we turn to a quote from His Highness Sheikh Abdulla Bin Zayed Al Nahyan of the UAE. He warns the West that their political correctness and shortsightedness is going to allow Islamist extremism to come from within their own borders. Shifting to domestic issues, I remind everyone again that it doesn't matter what evidence we have of crimes committed by Joe Biden, the Democrat majority senate is not going to remove him from office. For those mad that the new Speaker or the GOP investigations are not moving fast enough toward Articles of Impeachment, you are setting yourself up for failure. That's not the point of the Inquiry. The point is to give people like me and other independent sources the facts we need to then bring them to you, our audiences. The purpose is to help change the minds of the every day voter when the 2024 election cycle rolls around. You are not going to get the truth from the Legacy/mainstream media. To illustrate his again, I bring you a short back-and-forth between a reporterette at CNN and Presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy. Whether you trust him or not, he responds to the mainstream media the way I wish more Constitutionalists would. He refuses to accept their premises and challenges them on their propaganda. We get back to San Francisco and the Left's desire to please their Chinese overlords with a short parody song from my good friend, Jim Gossett. Instead of Santa Claus is Coming to Town, he brings you a rendition of Chairman Xi is Coming to Town. We then end on two statements from two blithering idiots, the President and the Vice President of the United States. First, Joe Biden goes off-script on fentanyl and makes a fool out of himself. Then, Kamala Harris reverts to her favorite word-salad phrase of being unencumbered by the past with another installment of Deep Thoughts with VP Kamala Harris. While speaking in Anaheim, CA at the California Republican Party Convention, Donald Trump hypothesized that Gov. Gavin Newsom (D-CA) is waiting to replace President Joe Biden as the Democrat party's 2024 presidential nominee. On Saturday, the House drafted a 45-day stopgap spending bill that would temporarily fund government and avert a shutdown through November 17th. The bill passed with bipartisan support—335 to 91 in the House and 88 to 9 in the Senate. After signing the bill into law, President Joe Biden blamed Republicans for the near shutdown and insisted that the legislative branch needed to provide more funding for Ukraine. While appearing on Fox News, Rep. Byron Donalds (R-FL) said Republicans “did not get anything” out of the stopgap funding measure. While appearing on Fox News with Maria Bartiromo, Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) was asked if he would consider being Donald Trump's Vice President. DeSantis explained: "No, I'm running for president…We need somebody that can win states like Georgia and Arizona, which President Trump cannot do and did not do.” Governor Gavin Newsom (D-CA) has appointed Laphonza Butler to replace Dianne Feinstein's vacant seat in the United States Senate representing California. Butler is the president of Emily's List—a far-left organization that advocates for abortion rights. Critics of the appointment note that until just recently Butler was a registered voter of Maryland and may even still live in the state. On Saturday, Rep. Jamaal Bowman (D-NY) pulled a fire alarm in the Cannon House Office Building just prior to the House holding its vote on a stopgap spending measure to avoid a government shutdown. Although Rep. Bowman has claimed he pulled the alarm in error, some have speculated that it was a tactic to delay the House vote—providing Democrat members of the House additional time to read through the Republican proposed legislation. On October 9th in Philadelphia, PA, presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is expected to announce he will continue his campaign as an Independent. What kind of impact will this have on the 2024 election? Vermin Supreme—a man best known for wearing a boot on his head like a hat—has announced he will be running for president. The bill passed with bipartisan support—335 to 91 in the House and 88 to 9 in the Senate. After signing the bill into law, President Joe Biden blamed Republicans for the near shutdown and insisted that the legislative branch needed to provide more funding for Ukraine. 3:15pm- On Monday, former President Donald Trump arrived in New York for a civil trial in which New York Attorney General Letitia James alleges that Trump-owned properties were dramatically, and fraudulently, over-valued on official documents. The New York Times notes: “If the attorney general's office proves its case, the judge could impose a sweeping array of punishments on Mr. Trump, including a $250 million penalty and a prohibition on operating a business in New York ever again.” You can read more here: https://www.nytimes.com/2023/10/02/nyregion/trump-fraud-trial-letitia-james.html 3:40pm- Prior to appearing before a New York judge on Monday for a civil fraud trial, former President Donald Trump addressed the press, explaining: “There was no crime. The crime is against me…They are trying to damage me, so I don't do as well in the election…This is an attempt to hurt me in an election…They waited until I was right in the middle of my campaign.” Trump accused NY Attorney General Letitia James of undervaluing his property for political reasons. Today we open with Donald Trump arriving in a NY Court to face a civil suit for fraud. Considering there are no victims, no missing money, no broken contracts and no unpaid interest. Yet, the racist AG from NY, Letitia James, who ran on “vote for me and I'll go after Trump,” is bringing that very suit on the Trump business. Rep. Jamaal Bowman (D-NY) doesn't know how emergency doors work or that pulling a fire alarm will cause the fire alarm to go off inside a building. From his spokesperson, to MSNBC, to Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez doing their utmost to provide cover, there is no real good way to explain such stupidity and/or criminality. Falsely pulling a fire alarm is a felony as is “interrupting Capitol business” as many J6'ers have been made aware. Let's see if he gets charged similarly. Speaking of our two-tiered system of justice, can we break out the Emmy's for the latest television performance by AG Merrick Garland. His fake tears and hitch in his voice is only surpassed by the utter hypocrisy of his statements. Joe Biden locked up almost as badly as Mitch McConnell when addressing some questions by the press. He really is suffering significant lapses in cognitive function, yet the press pretends there is nothing to see. He even told a news outlet how he had convinced Strom Thurmond to vote for the Voting Rights Act when he left the Senate. Three problems with that. Joe left the senate in 2009, but Thurmond died in 2003. The Voting Rights Act passed in 1965. And, Joe Biden wasn't even in the senate until 1973. GWU professor Johnathan Turley put out a short blog detailing 10 of the items worthy of ongoing inquiry for possible Article of Impeachment. After listing the 10, he adds, there are many more, but that list is more than sufficient if even ONE of them is tied to Joe Biden. We have a new “caretaker” to fill the remaining Senate term left by the passing of Dianne Feinstein. Gov. Gavin Newsom (D-CA) had to go all the way to Maryland to find the black woman he said he needed to find to fill the position. And, in our current age of demographic check-boxes, he found a militant, socialist, lesbian, black woman who is pro-abortion. He hit the jackpot! Meet Laphonza Butler, the only woman right for California because she doesn't live there. Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) wants to tie more Ukraine money to a promise that this administration will enforce border security. It's a laughable joke to watch our representatives play like little children with their pinky-swears and spending money we don't have. Finally, AB2098, California's COVID medical censorship law has been quietly repealed by the very same people who had ridiculously wanted it in place. Today opens with a reminder that the Nord Stream 2 pipeline was blown up a year ago yesterday. Seymour Hersh has a fantastic piece out, detailing more information on how the Biden regime came up with idea, implemented it and is still pretending it has no information about it. We now know they did it to keep Germany and by extension, all of the EU focused on not doing anything to help Russia. We harmed an ally so they would not be tempted to turn on the natural gas line connected to Russia in the middle of winter. James Comer released a bombshell story saying they have at least two wire transfers from Communist China that list President Joe Biden's home in Wilmington, Delaware as the beneficiary address. And, while that bit of news was dropped, the House Ways and Means Committee released testimony from Biden's brother, Jim, who said they tried to help a Chinese firm buy US energy assets. Rep. Dan Goldman (D-NY) once again did more to benefit the GOP investigation into the Biden's than most of the Republicans by trashing Gal Luft. You see, two days ago, the Israeli professor, who has been on the run for the last six months, sent a message to Rep. James Comer (R-KY). He stated he has information about an FBI mole who fed information to Hunter Biden about pending litigation and investigations. Dan Goldman said Luft cannot be trusted given his ties to payment from CEFC China Energy. He said those payments make Luft an asset of communist China. Comer responded, if Luft is a communist asset because CEFC China Energy paid him, that must mean Hunter and Jim Biden are also assets of China given how much money they were paid. You just have to love when Leftist get tanked by the logic bomb. We now move to new information regarding the former Ambassador to Ukraine during the Donald Trump impeachment. Photos show Ambassador Yovanovitch met twice with a Burisma Energy official after being told the firm was corrupt. It should mean we take a much closer look as the testimony she levied against Donald Trump, while also meeting with Burisma and aiding in making them more profitable with US taxpayer money. Seems the CIA smuggled Dr. Anthony Fauci into the CIA to “help” them come to the correct conclusion that Covid-19 did not come from a lab. So, not only were analysts paid-off, but they were also manipulated by the head criminal himself. The Committee looking into Covid just sent a letter to the Inspector General for Health and Human Services demanding a wealth of documents surrounding this bit of new information. Leftist policies in blue cities are forcing Target to close 9 of it's stores. Similarly, Donald Trump wants striking UAW union members to know that Biden's policies toward electric vehicles will lead to mass layoffs in the auto industry if we do not change course. The Left hates America, hates capitalism, hates liberty and freedom and the American dream. They want you to own nothing, while they control everything. As we close, two interesting pieced. Gov. Gavin Newsom (D-CA) just signed off on a piece of Republican legislation making the trafficking of minors a serious felony. Seems that was another move toward making him a more palatable presidential candidate when Joe Biden resigns. Also, Axios just put out a piece about the team of people around the President's whose job is to make sure he doesn't trip and fall. We start today's show with Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) saying he will not vote for a continuing resolution. I think we all need to start trending #15DaytoStoptheSpend. We cannot keep passing budgets the way we've been doing them since the mid-to-late 90's. Next I start to connect several stories about Gov. Gavin Newsom (D-CA) and other negative pieces about President Joe Biden. Is it possible they are getting ready for a double-swap? They move VP Kamala Harris into the unexpired term of Rep. Dianne Feinstein (D-CA), Newsom moves into the unexpired term of Kamala Harris, Biden then steps down allowing Newsom to finish the term and then run for President in 2024. Since he was never “elected”, he will be able to run again in 2028. It's just a theory, but I think it holds some water. Politico just ran a piece showing Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) funneled millions of dollars to for-profit defense contractors in exchange for campaign donations. Well, there might be something just a little unethical and illegal about that. We then spend some time looking at Canada's liberal party members trying to fix their Nazi SS debacle. It doesn't go very well. Plus, I point out how quick they were to politicized the Freedom Convoy last year, so why shouldn't they be forced to deal with their massive mistake? PM Justin Trudeau tried to blame the mistake on Russian propaganda and misinformation. I'm not sure how to make that one work, but Trudeau seems intent on selling that line. Pollster Frank Luntz is an idiot. He is out there pushing the notion that 65% of Americans want to go with a popular vote for president rather than keeping with the Electoral College. I spend some time going over the basics of American civics to help clarify why we have the Electoral College in the first place. Finally, several of the bad actors who conspired against Donald Trump and his followers are starting to panic over the idea of a Trump victory. They are worried he might do to them, what they have been doing to him. I'd say they have good cause to worry. Victor Davis Hanson put out a tweet backing up just about everything I said. Between 2019 and 2020, all-cause mortality rates for Americans in the age group of 1 to 19 years jumped by 10.7 percent, according to data collected and published by JAMA Network from the American Medical Association. This was followed by an 8.3 percent spike between 2020 and 2021. The total mortality rate in the two years between 2019 and 2021 was 19 percent—the biggest increase in at least 50 years. “These increases, the largest in decades, followed a period of great progress in reducing pediatric mortality rates,” the editorial stated. “This reversal in the pediatric mortality trajectory was caused not by COVID-19, but by injuries,” the editorial stated. “In 2020, the COVID-19 mortality rate at ages 1 to 19 years was 0.24 deaths per 100 000, but the absolute increase in injury deaths alone was nearly 12 times higher (2.80 deaths per 100 000).” Between 2019 and 2020, injury mortality rose by 22.6 percent among those between the ages of 10 and 19, with homicides rising by 39.1 percent and drug overdose deaths jumping by 113.5 percent. Among children aged 1 to 9 years, injuries accounted for 63.7 percent of the increase in all-cause mortality in 2021. “We’ve now reached a tipping point where the number of injury-related deaths is so high that it is offsetting many of the gains we’ve made in treating other diseases,” said Elizabeth Wolf, an author of the editorial and an assistant professor in the department of pediatrics at the Virginia Commonwealth University’s School of Medicine. The editorial points out that the increase in injury deaths predates the pandemic. For instance, suicides among individuals between 10 and 19 years of age began to rise in 2007, with homicide rates starting to increase in 2013. Between 2007 and 2019, mortality rates for suicide rose by 69.5 percent. Between 2013 and 2019, homicide rates increased by 32.7 percent. The editorial blamed the increase in suicide and homicide rates on a “deepening” mental health crisis and access to firearms. Despite the fear created by the pandemic, the share of COVID-19 in deaths among children and young people (CYP) was lower when compared to other causes, according to a Jan. 30 study published in JAMA Network. The study identified 821 deaths among CYP aged 0 to 19 years between August 1, 2021, and July 31, 2022, in the United States and compared it with other causes of death in 2019 prior to the pandemic. COVID-19 was ranked eighth among all causes of death within this demographic, accounting for 2 percent of all causes of death. According to data from the National Center for Health Statistics, unintentional injuries were the leading cause of death among children in 2020, accounting for 12.5 percent of deaths below the age of 12 and 31.4 percent of deaths among adolescents aged 12-17. COVID-19 accounted for 0.3 percent of deaths in children under the age of 12 and 0.8 percent of deaths among those aged 12-17. Mental health among children and adolescents worsened during the pandemic per a paper published in The Lancet Psychiatry that analyzed emergency department visits. The analysis found a 22 percent jump in youth visits for suicide attempts when comparing the period prior to the pandemic to the pandemic period until July 2021. This surge in suicide visits happened even though there was a 32 percent reduction in pediatric emergency department visits for health-related reasons during the pandemic. In addition, there was also an 8 percent increase in visits for suicidal ideation—referring to individuals who entertain suicidal thoughts. A study on the National Poison Data System found that suspected suicide attempts through self-poisoning among children rose by 26.7 percent between 2015 and 2020. Speaking of children… https://hotair.com/david-strom/2023/03/15/fda-pushing-vaccine-boosters-for-infants-based-upon-trials-in-just-24-children-n537177 FDA pushing vaccine boosters for infants based upon trials in just 24 children The FDA has approved the use of a new bivalent COVID-19 booster for children 6 months old to 4 years old based upon trials that included almost no children. 24 participants for the 6-month-23-month cohort, and 36 for the 2 years through 4 years old cohort. 60 children in all. There are tens of millions of children in these age cohorts, and while this sort of trial is better than one where only 9 mice are given the jab, it strikes me as bizarre that the FDA is pushing this out the door and recommending that all children in America be vaccinated with a jab that has barely been tested. Particularly given that the COVID virus presents almost no threat to any children those ages. European countries have pulled back from recommending or even giving COVID vaccines to people under 50, except in cases where the patient is in a high-risk category. It beggars belief that the United States FDA is still going full steam ahead recommending vaccines that are not actually approved–they are being given under an Emergency Use Authorization, not full approval–to millions of children at little risk for serious disease. Even the FDA admits that there are side effects, because of course there are. There are with everything. Side effects can be justified if the benefits outweigh the downsides, but there really is no evidence that the benefits are there. Specifically, the Biden Department of Justice has inserted the federal government — and with it hardworking American taxpayers — into a patent infringement dispute alleging that Moderna stole intellectual property from smaller biotech companies and used it to create and produce its COVID-19 mRNA vaccine that's since been administered more than 250 million times in the U.S. and sent the company's revenue soaring. According to the two small biotech companies alleging patent infringement — called Arbutus and Genevant — Moderna stole their vaccine delivery method that uses lipid nanoparticles (LNPs) to protect vaccine-introduced mRNA in the bloodstream and help ensure it reaches the intended target to become effective. Moderna's response to Arbutus and Genevant has not focused on the companies' claims, but sought to have the case dismissed entirely. Moderna says that, under a World War I-era law found in Section 1498 of U.S. Code, its vaccine development and production is shielded from patent claims because it was under contract to provide the vaccine to the federal government. Moderna maintains its COVID vaccine did not infringe on intellectual property, but said that "dispute is for later." Rather than allowing the case to play out on its own, the Biden administration — via Delaware U.S. Attorney David Weiss — filed a statement of interest in the dispute last month "to relieve Moderna of any liability for patent infringement resulting in performance of the ’-0100 Contract and to transfer to the United States any liability for the manufacture or use of the inventions claimed in the Patents-in-Suit resulting from the authorized and consented acts." The "-0100 Contract" mentioned by the U.S. attorney in its statement of interest is an $8.2 billion contract between Moderna and the Department of Defense coded as "pharmaceutical preparation manufacturing." So, the Biden administration appears to be stepping in and seeking to put hardworking American taxpayers on the hook for what could be potentially billions of dollars worth of liability claims caused by Moderna's alleged theft of intellectual property to make its COVID vaccine. Why would the Biden administration, after the federal government has already poured billions of dollars into Moderna for its COVID vaccine, now seek to bail them out for, potentially, billions more? And why did the Biden DOJ wait until February of 2023 to file a statement of interest when the case against Moderna has been in motion since early 2022? And that's where another twist complicates the Biden DOJ's intervention and raises more questions about how the decision to intervene was made. The U.S. attorney filed the statement of interest on behalf of the Biden DOJ on February 14 and, one day later on February 15, Moderna announced its "commitment to patient access in the United States." The company's announcement states that "Moderna remains committed to ensuring that people in the United States will have access to our COVID-19 vaccines regardless of ability to pay" and Americans who are uninsured or underinsured will still be able to get Moderna's COVID vaccines at pharmacies and doctors' offices at "no cost" to them. In 2019, the company's revenue was $60 million. It increased to $803 million in 2020, then surged to more than $18 billion in 2021. It seems as though the federal government has done enough to help Moderna by now, and yet the U.S. government intervened on Moderna's behalf in the patent infringement case to say American taxpayers should assume liability for claims stemming from the company's alleged intellectual property theft. So far, the judge hearing claims against Moderna has not sided with the company's — or the Biden DOJ's — claims that the federal government (again, read: taxpayers) should be held liable instead, and has ruled against motions to dismiss the case outright. Next week, Moderna's CEO Stéphane Bancel will testify before the Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions (HELP) Committee. That hearing, led by HELP Chairman Bernie Sanders (I-VT), is titled "Taxpayers Paid Billions For It: So Why Would Moderna Consider Quadrupling the Price of the COVID Vaccine?" And finally… https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/restoring-america/community-family/california-pushes-360k-person-reparations-despite-major-deficit California pushes for $360,000 per person in reparations despite major deficit The state-endorsed California Reparations Task Force is pushing to give every black resident $360,000 in reparations despite a major budget deficit. In 2020, the United States Census Bureau recorded approximately 2.251 million black people residing in California, of whom 1.8 million had at least one ancestor who was a slave, Fox News reported , making the total reparations cost around $640 billion. It is unknown where the state will come up with the funds, however, as Gov. Gavin Newsom (D-CA) reported that California is facing a budget deficit of $22.5 billion for this coming fiscal year. Chas Alamo, the state's Legislative Analyst's Office's principal fiscal and policy analyst, appeared at the Reparation Task Force's second in-person meeting, in which he proposed further steps that could be taken to fulfill the reparations plan. He proposed several different paths the task force could take to make reparations state law, including the creation of a new agency that would oversee the dispensation of reparations. "The creation of a new agency would be initiated through the governor's executive branch and reorganization process, but other options exist," Alamo said, California Black Media reported. "Regardless of the path, to initiate a new agency or enact any other recommendation that makes changes to state law, fundamentally both houses from the state legislature would have to approve the action and the governor will have to sign it." The task force is due to submit a final report and its accompanying recommendations by July 1. The state legislature, which created the commission amid the fallout from George Floyd's death in 2020, will then vote on the proposal, at which point it will be sent to Newsom to sign. So far, neither the panel nor any government agency has suggested how the reparations will be paid for. Meanwhile, a separate, city-appointed reparations task force in San Francisco recommended giving $5 million in reparations to every black resident, which would total nearly $225 billion.
