Hey Heal Squad! We're back with Part 2 of our powerful conversation with Dr. Nadine Macaluso, psychotherapist, trauma expert, and former wife of the “Wolf of Wall Street.” Dr. Nadine breaks down the psychology of trauma bonds, what they are, why they're so hard to escape, and the real steps you need to take to leave safely. She explains how intermittent reinforcement keeps people stuck, why “love bombing” is actually manipulation, and how to spot the red flags of a pathological partner before it's too late. PLUS, we dive into the shame and self-blame survivors carry, how to reframe those beliefs with compassion, and why learning to trust yourself again is the key to healing. Nadine shares inspiring stories of women who not only left toxic love, but went on to build thriving lives and even find healthy love again. This episode will remind you that freedom, clarity, and joy are absolutely within reach. HEALERS & HEAL-LINERS Trauma bonds are designed to keep you stuck. Intermittent reinforcement, love bombing, and devaluation create a cycle that feels like love but is actually control. Love bombing is manipulation. Those over-the-top gifts, sweeping gestures, and declarations of “soulmate love” are tools to hook you fast. Dr. Nadine explains why true love builds slowly, while love bombing is a red flag that signals future coercion and abuse. Shame keeps survivors silent. Releasing self-blame and choosing self-compassion is the first step toward breaking free and healing. The healing shift comes when survivors reframe the story, release self-blame, and embrace compassion for what they endured. -- HEAL SQUAD SOCIALS IG: https://www.instagram.com/healsquad/ TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@healsquadxmaria HEAL SQUAD RESOURCES: Heal Squad Website:https://www.healsquad.com/ Heal Squad x Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/HealSquad/membership Maria Menounos Website: https://www.mariamenounos.com My Curated Macy's Page: Shop My Macy's Storefront Prenuvo: Prenuvo.com/MARIA for $300 off EMR-Tek Red Light: https://emr-tek.com/discount/Maria30 for 30% off Airbnb: https://www.airbnb.com/ Briotech: https://shopbriotech.com/ Use Code: HEALSQUAD for 20% off Join In-Person Heal Retreat Waitlist! https://mariamenounos.myflodesk.com/heal-retreat-waitlist GUEST RESOURCES: Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/therealdrnadine/?hl=en Website: https://drnae.com/ Download the First Chapter of Dr. Nae's new book Book mentioned in the episode: https://www.amazon.com/Women-Who-Love-Psychopaths-Relationships/dp/0984172807 ABOUT MARIA MENOUNOS: Emmy Award-winning journalist, TV personality, actress, 2x NYT best-selling author, former pro-wrestler and brain tumor survivor, Maria Menounos' passion is to see others heal and to get better in all areas of life. On this episode of The Kara Goldin Show, we're joined by Hannah Cheng, Co-Founder and CEO of Mimi Cheng's — the cult-favorite dumpling brand on a mission to bring family recipes to the world in a fresh, modern way. What began in 2014 as a small New York City dumpling shop, inspired by Hannah and her sister Marian's mom's recipes, has grown into a thriving brand with restaurants, ready-to-eat Taiwanese meals, and soon frozen dumplings launching nationwide at Whole Foods in Fall 2025.In our conversation, Hannah shares her journey from JP Morgan's trading floor to running one of NYC's most beloved dumpling spots, and how she balanced Wall Street with entrepreneurship during the early years. We dive into what has allowed Mimi Cheng's to thrive for over a decade in a notoriously tough industry, why staying self-funded and self-operated has been key, and what it takes to expand from restaurants into CPG. Hannah also opens up about building a business with her sister, her favorite collaborations, the lessons she's learned as an angel investor, and her vision for turning Mimi Cheng's into more than a meal — but a lifestyle brand.Whether you're a foodie, a founder, or simply someone who loves a great family business story, this episode is full of inspiration and insight you won't want to miss. Hey Heal Squad! Today we're joined by Dr. Nadine Macaluso, the real-life inspiration behind Naomi in The Wolf of Wall Street. But her true story goes far beyond Hollywood... Nadine shares with us the story of being married to Jordan Belfort and how she found herself trapped in a volatile, abusive relationship that nearly cost her everything. Nadine opens up about surviving trauma bonds, coercive control, and the hidden toll toxic love can take on your mental and physical health. She shares how therapy, education, and the unwavering support of her late mother helped her escape, and why she believes chronic stress from years of abuse contributed to her later battle with cancer. Now a psychotherapist and author of Run Like Hell, Nadine is helping others recognize red flags, trust their gut, and reclaim their power. Tune in and take back your power, you are not alone! HEALERS & HEAL-LINERS Toxic love leaves scars on your health. Chronic stress from abusive relationships doesn't just hurt emotionally, it can weaken your body and even contribute to disease. Trauma bonds are powerful, but not permanent. Understanding coercive control and manipulation is the first step to breaking free and reclaiming your life. Support systems save lives. Markets had a flood of liquidations on Monday, and traders lost over $1.5 billion in positions. So, why are liquidations spiking? Is this a warning or a blip? Also, could a flood of DAT issuance be setting the stage for not just a crypto winter, but a crypto “nuclear” winter? If so, hedge funds and market structure could accelerate the pain. This week on Bits + Bips, Steven Ehrlich, Ram Ahluwalia, Austin Campbell, and Vinny Lingham talk about why mNAVs could compress and whether even MicroStrategy's stack is more fragile than it looks. They debate the bull case for gold (yes, even at these ATHs), how tokenized stocks and changing reporting cadences could open new insider edges, and what the U.S. macro picture looks like. The Fed finally pulled the trigger on its first rate cut of the year, but before you pop champagne, let's ask the real question: who actually benefits? Wall Street's partying like it's 1999, the top 10% are still swiping cards like money grows on trees, and Jerome Powell is out here trying to convince everyone the house isn't on fire. Meanwhile, middle-class families are staring down credit card bills, mortgages, and a job market that feels more like musical chairs with fewer chairs every month.➡️ We're breaking down the “two-tier economy” McDonald's CEO warned about, why mortgage refis just spiked harder than a college frat party, and how side hustles have gone from optional to survival gear for millions of Americans. This isn't CNBC soundbites or sugar-coated headlines — it's The Higher Standard, where we strip the spin, call out the nonsense, and give you the real story behind the Fed's move.
It's 2008. The financial world is crumbling, Wall Street is bleeding jobs, and a brand-new finance grad named Andreea Grigore is staring down a recession with no clear path forward. Then, at a birthday party in Montreal, everything changes. She meets the founder of Luxury Retreats, one of the world's first platforms for high-end villas, private islands, and over-the-top vacation rentals. A casual conversation turns into an unexpected offer — and what was supposed to be a stopgap job becomes a nine-year masterclass in luxury travel, entrepreneurship, and scaling a global brand that Airbnb would eventually acquire to form its Luxe division. Fast forward, and Andreea is now the CEO of Gather Vacations, a company reshaping the playbook for property management. Instead of asking local managers to give up their independence, Gather powers them with the back-end systems, tech, and support they need so they can focus on what matters most: homeowners and guests. In this conversation, you'll hear: How a recession detour became a once-in-a-lifetime break into luxury hospitality The inside story of scaling Luxury Retreats and watching it become part of Airbnb Luxe Why Hawaii was the perfect test bed for rethinking property management How Gather's model challenges the franchise status quo and sets a new standard for partnership What the future of vacation rentals looks like when brand, consistency, and local expertise collide Explore Gather Vacations: https://gathervacations.com/staff/andreea-grigore/ Connect with Andreea: https://www.linkedin.com/in/andreea-grigore-081a6418/ Behind the Stays is brought to you by Journey — a first-of-its-kind loyalty program that brings together an alliance of the world's top independently owned and operated stays and allows travelers to earn points and perks on boutique hotels, vacation rentals, treehouses, ski chalets, glamping experiences and so much more. Most people wait for perfect conditions and call it “planning.” That's just stuck. In this conversation, Mark Young, an entrepreneur, educator, author, and functional doctor, joins Jim to break the addiction to comfort, reframe failure, and get back to ownership. We hit health, wealth, and work: why public goals matter, why cashflow beats accumulation, and how to use AI as a collaborator (not a crutch). If you're serious about building your Wealth Engine, this one's about action, not consensus. What You'll Learn: Why momentum beats “getting ready to get ready”, and how to act before everything is perfect The real fear behind inaction: public failure and tying your value to others' opinions How “do hard things” compounds in health, business, and wealth—discipline creates predictable outcomes Cashflow > accumulation: stop outsourcing your financial future to Wall Street narratives How to treat AI as a collaborator to upgrade decisions in health and money (without letting your brain atrophy) Action Steps: 1. Own One Hard Thing Today Pick a single uncomfortable action (call the prospect, publish the post, book the consult). Do it before noon. Momentum is a decision. 2. Make It Public Choose one measurable goal and share it with your circle (deadline included). Public commitments kill excuses and create follow-through. 3. Shift from Accumulation to Cashflow Audit your plan: Where does monthly cashflow come from? Map one move to increase it (IBC policy design, a small real-estate cashflow play, or a skill that raises your floor). Mark Young's Final Word: “Curiosity begets curiosity. Ask better questions, do hard things, and use AI as your collaborator. The harder I worked, the luckier I got—and proximity creates opportunity.” Connect with Mark Young: Instagram: www.instagram.com/themarkyoung Website: ryzeagency.com Website II: themarkyoung.com

Barry James Dyke is a bestselling author, advisor, and iconoclast who's spent decades exposing the financial myths that keep everyday people uninformed while Wall Street and big banks profit. As founder of Castle Asset Management, he's helped clients demystify how banks, asset managers, and retirement systems truly work—using innovative, risk-managed planning geared to protect wealth from unnecessary risk or transfer. On this episode we talk about: The truth about 401Ks, mutual funds, and why saving trumps risky investing (“the market always goes up” is a dangerous lie) Banks' instability, the reality of fractional reserve lending, and why bailouts favor the elite—not regular savers Retirement system myths, why America ranks poorly on global preparedness, and how corporations quietly protect their own funds Why life insurance and low-risk products are the “secret” safe havens for big institutions (but rarely taught to working families) Actionable steps for listeners: discipline in saving, setting up protection, and investing safely for the long term Top 3 Takeaways 1. Real wealth starts with discipline—saving first, then investing with a clear plan and protection before chasing risky returns.2. The system is stacked for Wall Street—most big wins come from business, innovation, or personal skill, not just mutual funds.3. Educate yourself on banking and investing fundamentals; big banks and corporations quietly use safe, conservative vehicles, not speculation. Notable Quotes “Most believe banks are stable, but they're highly leveraged and bailouts favor elites, not everyday savers.” “I've never met anyone who made their millions in mutual funds—the best investment is always in yourself.” “America's retirement crisis comes from poor savings discipline. Start by protecting, saving, then thoughtfully investing.” Connect with Barry Dyke: Website: barryjamesdyke.com ✖️✖️✖️✖️

In this powerful episode of Healthy Mind, Healthy Life, guest host Sana speaks with Lyubim Kogan—five-time Olympian, 9/11 survivor, founder of Wings4Heroes, and a man who has quite literally walked back into fire. From Wall Street to war zones, Lubim opens up about the mental cost of mission-driven work, surviving burnout, and why he still chooses to keep going when most would turn away. He shares how protecting his "silent hour" helps him align with his inner compass, and why real resilience is about resting without guilt. This conversation is a masterclass in legacy, sacrifice, and staying mentally grounded under pressure. About the Guest:Lyubim Kogan is a first-generation immigrant, Olympic athlete, former Wall Street executive, and the founder of Wings4Heroes, a nonprofit that empowers amputee veterans through paragliding. Jeffrey Epstein's so-called “black book” was less a contact list and more a grotesque monument to power shielding power. It wasn't filled with your everyday acquaintances; it was a who's who of billionaires, politicians, royalty, celebrities, and Wall Street heavyweights—names that had no business being in the same Rolodex as a convicted sex offender. The book exposed just how deep Epstein's tentacles reached, how many doors he could knock on, and how many influential people were willing to at least tolerate, if not outright embrace, his presence. Whether every name in there was complicit or simply embarrassed by association, the sheer scale of it laid bare how Epstein weaponized access to the elite as both shield and currency. The real stench of the black book wasn't just who was in it, but what it represented: a roadmap of complicity and cowardice. It proved that Epstein didn't thrive in isolation—he thrived because powerful people answered his calls, opened their homes, and boarded his planes. It's a reminder that the “Epstein problem” wasn't just Epstein; it was the system of enablers, gatekeepers, and opportunists who kept him socially viable long after his crimes were known. Every Board, investor, and potential acquirer is asking the same question: How are AI initiatives driving revenue? In episode #315, Ben Murray shares insights from his research into public tech companies and how they're defining and disclosing AI ARR (Annual Recurring Revenue). Using Verint as a case study, Ben explains how companies are leveraging AI-driven ARR, tying it to measurable outcomes, and communicating adoption in a way that resonates with both Wall Street and buyers. You'll also hear how these disclosures may have supported Verint's recent multibillion-dollar acquisition by Thoma Bravo. If you're a SaaS or AI operator, this episode will help you define AI ARR, communicate adoption signals, and position your business model for higher valuation. What You'll Learn What AI ARR is and how to calculate it. Why public companies like Verint are breaking out AI ARR from total ARR. The mechanics: how finance teams identify AI-influenced products and SKUs. Quantitative + qualitative adoption signals (e.g., number of users leveraging AI features). Why AI ARR disclosures matter for investor metrics and exit valuations. How Thoma Bravo's acquisition of Verint shows the value of communicating AI initiatives. Why It Matters For SaaS & AI Leaders: Properly defining AI ARR helps show investors where new growth is coming from. For Finance Teams: Accurate reporting requires collaboration across accounting, product, and FP&A. For Investors: AI ARR signals measurable adoption and future revenue growth. For Valuation: Tying AI initiatives to financial outcomes increases credibility in fundraising and exit scenarios. Red Steagall has sung the praises of cowboys and the ranching way of life for decades. As a musician, songwriter, cowboy poet and radio and television personality, his pursuits as an entertainer consistently shine the spotlight on America's Western heritage. He is the official Cowboy Poet of Texas, hosts the TV show “Somewhere West of Wall Street,” and continues to perform his Western music across the country. His passion for preserving the Western lifestyle can be seen in the Red Steagall Cowboy Gathering, his new book, Texas Red, and the soon-to-be-built Red Steagall Institute for Traditional Western Arts. For many years he joined the cowboy crews of the Four Sixes Ranch and the JA Ranch during spring works, which continued to inspire his poetry and songwriting. Here, he shares his story, which reveals the same type of perseverance, determination and work ethic that have shaped the American West. Thanks to our sponsors, the RA Brown Ranch October Sale, the Red Steagall Cowboy Gathering, and Farm & Ranch Candle Co.
