We discussed the vicious murders of Cora, Dawson, and Callan Clancy at the hands of their mother, Lindsay. January 24, 2023, at the family's home of Patrick and Lindsay Clancy on Summer Street in Duxbury, Massachusetts Lindsay Clancy brutally and savagely murdered her three children, Cora Clancy (5), Dawson Clancy (3), and Callan Clancy (8 months) by taking them into the basement and strangling them one by one with an exercise band.There's a lot of misinformation surrounding this case. It's time for conversations grounded in facts rather than feelings or bias. Helping me tackle it today is bestselling author, defense attorney, and expert on the pathology of the criminal mind, Kerrie Droban.Kerrie is an award-winning author and criminal defense attorney in Arizona. She holds a master's degree from the Johns Hopkins University Writing Seminars and a Master of Fine Arts and Juris Doctorate from the University of Arizona. She has keynoted gang task force conferences and national writing conferences, and has appeared on CNBC's American Greed, A&E's Gangland, the American Heroes Channel's Codes and Conspiracies, Investigation ID, and the Discovery Channel's Deadly Devotion.We recorded this conversation on September 14, 2026, after the trial ended in a mistrial. The killings aren't in dispute. The question at trial was whether Lindsay was criminally responsible, and prosecutors argued she acted deliberately. Postpartum psychosis is rare, and Lindsay's diagnosis came only after the killings, from a forensic psychiatrist. ·      Flaws in the mental health system: per the prosecution, about 30 prescriptions for 13 psychiatric medications in the four months before, taken sporadically.·      Five clinicians and two hospitals saw her in that window, and none diagnosed psychosis or bipolar disorder·      The evil that is in the world today and the monsters who can't be helped.·      Prosecutors focused on the vagueness of the voice Clancy claimed to hear: she had to choose where — the basement; she had to choose how — strangulation.·      Lindsay's preparation and premeditation before she killed her children.·      Jurors who have raced to get their five minutes of fame. El Banco de Canadá calcula que a finales de 2026 el PIB será punto y medio inferior al que habría sido sin la ofensiva, y ha recortado el crecimiento de este año hasta un magro 0,7%. Mark Carney no ha esperado sentado. El pasado día 8 dejó entrar en vigor los aranceles de represalia tras rechazar un acuerdo que, a su juicio, movía la portería en el último minuto. Se ha propuesto también duplicar antes de 2035 las exportaciones a mercados distintos del estadounidense. Lleva, de hecho, varios meses pasando más tiempo en Europa y en Asia que en Ottawa. No sería la primera vez que Canadá lo hace. Antes de la Segunda Guerra Mundial el país comerciaba más con Europa que con Estados Unidos. Today Mike is flying solo, and for once the case file is his own: 400 episodes of The PPC Den, and what a decade of these conversations actually taught him about who wins on Amazon and who just stays busy.There's a shirt involved. There's a DSLR. There's also the small matter of being #1 on both of FeedSpot's Amazon podcast lists - the 9 Best Amazon PPC Podcasts and the 14 Best Amazon Advertising Podcasts - which raises the question of how those are two different lists. Mike rewinds eight years to the first two videos ever published, back when the bidding advice was revenue-per-click and the first episode of this show asked whether we were living in the golden age of Amazon PPC.Then the part worth writing down. Across 400 episodes and ten years of running Ad Badger, four things keep showing up in the people who succeed: they're never distracted by nonsense, they know how to prioritize, they never stop chasing product-market fit, and they treat the job as one that keeps evolving. Five years ago you could hire a PPC manager for bids, budgets, keywords, campaign types and structure, and that was the whole job. Today Mike argues that a good Amazon PPC marketer is just a good Amazon marketer, and the job now reaches into what used to be somebody else's problem entirely: fees, refunds, logistics, and the one he thinks is most underrated, stock.This is the case for letting your marketing team into your inventory data, and it starts with a client who flatly did not believe it mattered. Conversion rate is a product page problem and a PPC problem, they said. So Olena on the Ad Badger team built the chart that settled it - unit session percentage plotted against warehouse balance - and the split was uncomfortable. Above one threshold the numbers held. Below it they didn't. Sales, conversion rate, Buy Box. Not out of stock. Just low.That sent Mike into inventory distortion - the combined financial drain of overstocking and stocking out, estimated to cost global retail 10 to 30% of total sales volume, and almost never mentioned alongside ACoS. He breaks the damage into four buckets: lost revenue that doesn't happen evenly (half a million Buy Box checks found roughly one in three products has at least one location with a suppressed Buy Box), rank decay, the PPC tax you pay while competitors take cheaper clicks, and capital locked up in overstock.Then the SOP. Three reports - advertised products, FBA inventory health, and detailed page sales and traffic by ASIN - dropped into Claude with a prompt, and you have a dashboard. Mike walks an anonymized $400K a month account where roughly 30% of the catalog was fully out of stock and a couple of SKUs sat on over 1,000 days of supply. Plus the one nobody automates: nothing tells you when a product comes back in stock, which is exactly when you want the ads switched back on.We'll see you in The PPC Den!

Carlos almost lost the business twice. This episode is about the second time. He is joined by Ben Kotch, co-founder of AccrueMe, who has been active in e-commerce since 2018 and has looked at close to ten thousand potential investments across hundreds of seven and eight figure e-commerce businesses. Carlos opens with the story he does not tell often. Early on, a lender offered him thirty thousand dollars on the strength of his Amazon sales. He took it, sent it to China, and waited four months for inventory while the repayments started immediately. Then came the offer of sixty thousand, which felt like rescue and was actually the trap closing. He stacked it four times. What saved the company was his wife putting in personal money. Somebody told him afterward: you are really good at moving money, but not at making money. This is not an episode about businesses that deserved to fail. It is about the ones doing everything right that still go down. WHAT'S COVERED Why a ten percent fee is not a ten percent loan. Ben walks the math: borrow one hundred thousand with a ten thousand dollar fee, pay it back over six months, and you average only fifty thousand of usable capital. That is closer to a thirty or forty percent APR than to ten. E-commerce specialty lenders do not advertise APR, and there are specific reasons for that. How to compare offers apples to apples. Not the marketing page and not a screenshot from the website. The actual funding documents, run through AI, with three numbers on the table: your real APR, your average capital during the life of the loan, and your monthly payments. The red flags, in order. Anyone who opens with "we help businesses like yours" has done no research on you. Anyone industry agnostic who wants your car and your house regardless of credit. And the one most sellers read as a feature: if it is extremely easy to get, you are paying for that convenience. Why the cheap money is expensive. Lenders writing ten and thirty thousand dollar loans carry heavy defaults, so the good operators subsidize the bad ones through higher rates across the whole book. AccrueMe moved its minimum from ten thousand to one hundred thousand for exactly this reason. The reason type that predicts failure. Sellers who want capital to scale what already works tend to be fine. Sellers who want to take an eight figure baby sock business into gourmet honey do not. Carlos gets honest about being a thousand things guy, and the coaching line that reframed it: you do not split your attention evenly, you pour it all into whatever is struggling most. Why the fee is not the real problem. The cash flow is. You borrow because cash is tight, and by day two the repayment schedule has made it tighter than before you borrowed. Plus: what AccrueMe actually does now, which is not what the internet or AI will tell you. The profit share model is gone. It is traditional asset backed credit lines, one hundred thousand to five million, borrowed against a real time borrowing base, with no required payments while you stay inside the loan to value. The FTC and 22 state attorneys general are suing Amazon over its ad auctions. They say an undisclosed soft reserve pushed up what 1.2 million advertisers paid and cost them more than $20 billion since 2019. A player I have known for years told me they did not think they could advance in the game. If that player believes it, others do too. So this week I want to be clear. There is no real limit on your growth as a pickleball player. Not age. Not ability. The only limit is your decision not to grow. What actually derails players is trying to do too many things at once. The fix is one thing at a time. Lock it in, let the positive feedback loop build, then move to the next one.Second, a conversation from our Boston-area camp about expectations on the serve side. Because of the two-bounce rule, the serve team starts every rally at a positional disadvantage. When you go back to serve, you are more likely to lose the rally than win it. Not because you did anything wrong. Because that is how the sport is built.
