The law of diminishing returns is often true. It's like that movie with Michael Keaton, Multiplicity (see, already brought it around to Batman!), the more times you tell a story, the more diluted or off it becomes. We have seen this proven wrong a few times: the newest versions of the Monk, the Monster Men, and the first Batman/Joker confrontation are ranked highest. Sadly, the same can not be said for the first meeting of Batman and Superman. We already covered three, and the best was the first, and Patreon backer John Wickham brought three more, and none of them are better. This time as have an early Silver Age story, a New 52 story and latter day Frank Miller. So... yeah... 2020 was a pretty terrible year, for all the reasons you already know about. However, there was a bright spot, and it came from one of the darkest places… the horror genre. 2020 brought us an amazing array of horror movies. There was something for everyone. The Monster Men welcome back the man himself, author Terry M West, to the show. Some people say that we are living in the new golden age of horror movies. Well, the belt holder for the decade of the BEST horror made for TV movies was, is and always will be the 70s. Jack, Hunter and Terry wax poetic over a cavalcade of 70s horror classics like The Night Stalker, Trilogy of Terror, Duel, and dozens of other found and hidden gems that hit the airwaves during a presidential resignation, gas crisis, hostage crisis, and overall identity crisis. Build your to-watch list and let us know your own personal favorites. You can follow Terry M West and buy his excellent books at www.terrymwest.com
IT FOLLOWS. It’s just one of those movies, either you love it, or you hate it. Some considered a modern horror masterpiece and others want their 1h and 40 minutes back. On this episode of Monster Men we welcome author JG Faherty for a good, old fashioned throw-down on this polarizing film. JG is not shy and he knows his stuff, so this is sure to be a great debate. You can fiind JG Faherty at https://www.jgfaherty.com Twitter: @jgfaherty
Gobble, gobble everyone. Yes, Jack and Hunter are truly at it again with their second annual Thanksgiving tasting feast from the far reaches of hell. Thank Cthulu they also had a bevy of delicious pumpkin ales to choose from to wash that cornucopia of nastiness down. Filmed in a secret location, far from the corona virus police, the Monster Men invite all to break bread with them and sample some fine beers. Give thanks that you can laugh at their misery. Note: This is a very visual episode, so you might want to check it out on YouTube to get the full effect. Look up Monster Me 13 to find us.
Look! Up in the sky! It's a bird! It's a plane! It's a... a tic tac! This is the episode Hunter has been waiting for since the Monster Men crawled out of the muck and into the interwebs. Join us as we talk UFOs (or as some call them now, UAPs) with one of the world's leading Ufologists, Ryan Sprague, the author of Somewhere in the Skies and host of the podcast of the very same name. This week we're excited to welcome Hunter Shea back to the show to discuss his latest novel, Misfits, which is out now through Flame Tree Press. Hunter was one of the first guests on the Ink Heist podcast back when we launched and we've been fans of his books for years. While Hunter has written a variety of different styles of horror novels, he is perhaps best known for cryptid and Creature Feature work and with Misfits, Hunter dials up one of his bloodiest and most extreme books yet. Hunter is a horror fanatic and he uses his encyclopedic knowledge of the genre to craft action-packed stories that are a blast to read and almost impossible to put down. He's also the co-host of the Monster Men and Final Guys podcasts, which are loaded with great recommendations and a must-listen for any horror fan. We've known Hunter for years and that led to an absolutely hilarious conversation that had us all laughing until stomachs hurt. Throughout the course of the episode, we talked about Misfits, Melonheads, ilk milk, his time playing in bands and so much more. We had a a lot of fun recording this episode and we hope you guys enjoy it as much as we did!
Hunter Shea is an American author (Slash, Misfits, Ghost Mine), as well as a podcaster (Monster Men, Final Guys). Patrick and Brennan are joined by guest host, Erica Robyn.
It’s Halloween time again, but times have changed and so must we. Thanks to the pandemic, Halloween will look a little different this year, and so does our Halloween episode. We have done it remotely, as is the case with most things in 2020… but that does not stop us from having fun. This time we discuss and celebrate the horror movies 1978, the year the John Carpenter’s Halloween came out. It was quite a year for the genre. Plus, throughout the conversation we talk about some of the ways you can enjoy Halloween while still staying safe. So, pull up some candy corn and join us as we celebrate our favorite holiday. And don’t forget to get yourself a Monster Men shirt, hoodie or mug at our TeePublic store. Go to http://tee.pub/lic/S9-0-iRSDP8 and don’t forget to post a pic and tag us once you have your swag.
In this knee-slapper of an episode, the Monster Men take the center square for the win. What better way to start Horrortober than a trip back to that magical era where every star had their own variety show? And what better show to unearth than the Paul Lynde Halloween Special from 1976? It’s a cavalcade of stars surrounding the master comic who looked like someone had a gun to his head from start to finish. The jokes may fall flatter than Jack and Hunter's ass cheeks, but the unintentional humor is hysterical. Come join Paul and his witchy friends as they're joined by the likes of Florence Henderson, Betty White, Pinky Tuscadero, Tim Conway and…wait for it…KISS (who perform 3 songs because we guess the writers ran out of corny jokes)! Hunter also reviews a fun Halloween read, Creature Feature, by Steven Paul Leiva (you can get it on Amazon and Jack recommends – Monster Carnival, an anthology of classic and rare tales of horror collected and edited by William P. Simmons.

In these kinds of times, connection with others is vital. That’s why the Monster Men have decided to host a Stay at Home Horror Hangout. We’ve invited horror author and podcaster Laurel Hightower as our guest for a chat about all things horror. We talk about the books and movies we plan to enjoy during the shutdown, the life of a horror author and podcaster and the importance of the horror community in days like these. Laurel Hightower is the author of Whispers in the Dark and one of the hosts of the Ink Heist podcast. You can find her at: Web: https://laurelhightower.com Twitter: @Hightower Laurel Ink Heist: https://inkheist.com
It’s time to elevate the Monster Men show and talk about Elevated Horror. What exactly is elevated horror? What does that term even mean? Is it a good thing or a bad thing? What are some of the best examples of elevated horror? To help us tackle these questions, we welcome horror author Chad Lutzke to the show. This man has a legit horror resume. He’s written for Famous Monsters of Filmland, Rue Morgue, Cemetery Dance and Scream magazine. His books include: OF FOSTER HOMES & FLIES, STIRRING THE SHEETS, THE PALE WHITE, SKULLFACE BOY and THE NEON OWL. You can find Chad Lutzke at http://www.chadlutzke.com Twitter - @chadlutzke

Batman and the Monster Men #5 (2006)This is allegedly the first time Batman and Hugo Strange square off as Strange farting around Gotham, creating a bunch of mutant Great Khalis. Gordon and Batman are getting to know each other (that’s sweet) and we see the debut of the Bat-Mobile.Also, we spend a bunch of time remembering GOTHAM on FOX even though we haven’t watched in a year. Did they ever figure out what the deal was with that dinosaur woman who was dating Thomas Wayne? Also, has Gordon been smartened up to the concept of “moshing?”Email the podcast at worstcollectionever@gmail.comContinue the conversation with Shawn and Jen on Twitter @angryheroshawn and @JenStansfield
The brothers discuss Shaman and Batman and the Monster Men. Is Hugo Strange a supervillain? You be the judge.

Hey you guys, did you know there was a fifth Underworld movie? Or a fourth Underworld movie? Us neither! But who gives a shit about that, cuz it's bad so we fixed it into the next global smash, X-Monster-Men Meet Van Helsing Meet Abbott and Costello, starring a whole grip of randomly generated folks, including 2 Hugh Jackmans, Ryan Reynolds as not Deadpool, Jeff Goldblum AS Deadpool, and of course, our muse, our lucky rabbit's foot, Mr. Armie Hammer. Also, we don't fix the trailer for Venom, but we do fix the trailers for Death House and Hellraiser: Judgment
Wenn ihr also auf die Beschreibung passt, dann lasst doch mal von euch hören :) Timecodes: [00:00:00] - Intro [00:00:21] - Einleitung [00:06:32] - Sex & Crime Comic Bundle [00:12:38] - Halloween Comicfest 2017 [00:18:31] - HCF 2017 - Shiver [00:26:28] - HCF 2017 - Thor by Simonson #1 [00:28:34] - HCF 2017 - Batman: Night of the Monster Men [00:31:50] - HCF 2017 - Ghostbusters: Dia De Los Muertos [00:38:41] - HCF 2017 - Grimm Tales of Terror [00:41:57] - HCF 2017 - Black Betty One-Shot [00:43:32] - HCF 2017 - Babyteeth #1 [00:49:26] - HCF 2017 - Hellboy and the B.P.R.D 1953 [00:54:26] - HCF 2017 - Lady Mechanika: La Dama De La Muerte [00:59:26] - HCF 2017 - Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, Season 2 [01:03:10] - HCF 2017 - Archie's Mad House Returns [01:03:58] - Das aktuelle Archie-Universum [01:08:28] - Shirtless Bear-Fighter #4 (Image Comics) [01:12:27] - Harley & Ivy meet Betty & Veronica #1/#2 (DC Comics) [01:16:50] - Motor Crush #6/#7 (Image Comics) [01:23:06] - Batman: White Knight #1 (DC Comics) [01:28:08] - Alone (Gallery 13) [01:34:30] - Skin & Earth #1 - #4 (Dynamite) [01:41:01] - Siúil, a Rún Band 1 (TokyoPop) [01:46:52] - No.1 With A Bullet #1 (Image Comics) [01:52:19] - Dragon Ball Band 17-20 (Carlsen Comics) [01:55:30] - The Infinite Loop: Nothing but the Truth #1 (IDW) [02:01:15] - Kill or be killed TPB 1/2 (Image Comics) [02:08:25] - Verabschiedung [02:10:39] - Outro [02:10:50] - Information zum Podcast Intro/Outro: Auszüge aus dem Song "Crazy Glue" von Josh Woodward.

Our Sunday Superfriend (DC) coverage of the Bat-family 'Night of the Monster Men' crossover manages to skip talking about monsters altogether... (yes, that's a Theme Fail), although TwoPlai does disappear into a rabbit hole about ethics and superhero team stories, like this one, where Batman's toughest challenge might not be the building-sized monsters traipsing around Gotham but the sundry and individual partners that are his Bat-family. Along the way, TwoPlai has some praise for Steve Orlando's writing prowess, as well as Tom King's Batman run so far, and for what superheroes can do to instill healthy questions in us about goodness and rightness. Let's dig deep.

Poza tym mamy tez coś o nowym odcinku Civil War II czy startującym właśnie Night of the Monster Men. Co w odcinku?Read more
