What if I told you that in today's fast-paced world, certainty is the real risk, not uncertainty? For the latest episode of Bring More Joy to the Table, I had the privilege of speaking with Dr. Nadya Zhexembayeva, a global expert on reinvention and innovation. Nadya challenges the conventional wisdom about change, and explains why the companies, and people, who truly embrace uncertainty are the ones who thrive. Here are just a few of the many takeaways from this episode:1. Humans Are Built for Change: Forget the myth that we're resistant to change. Dr. Nadya shares how babies learn and adapt without fear—and reminds us that we are born to be reinventors.2. Reinvention is a Process, Not a Project: Reinvention is ongoing. Just like brushing your teeth, it has to be consistent and habitual—especially in a world where business cycles are rapidly shrinking!3. Certainty Can Be a Killer: In a world full of disruptions, waiting for certainty before acting is actually a liability. Nadya shares how experimentation and agility are the keys to success in business and life. Are you prepared to future-proof your business, consulting practice, and everyday life for the ever-accelerating pace of change?Do you know which data, tools, and approaches will help you not just stay relevant but truly stand out?Are you clear on what really matters to your clients today – and how to meet those needs? In this episode, we also talk about Nadya's FREE Easy Reinvention Lab. "When I think about reinvention, I think about finding talents, hidden parts of you that need to come out and be front and center," says Dr. Joan Fallon. With over 20 years of experience researching autism and related disorders, Dr. Fallon founded Curemark, a pharmaceutical company focused on developing therapeutic treatments for neurological disorders. In this inspiring conversation with CoveyClub founder Lesley Jane Seymour, Dr. Fallon explains how her personal reinvention led her to changing the world of autism. Pass it along to anyone who needs to know about the groundbreaking work being done in the treatment of this disorder. About Dr. Joan Fallon: Dr. Fallon began her research on Autism and related disorders over 20 years ago and founded Curemark as a platform to develop product candidates to address her findings. Dr. Fallon has both clinical expertise and academic experience—the former from running a private practice specializing in pediatric development, and the latter as an Assistant Professor of Natural Sciences and Mathematics at Yeshiva University. Dr. Fallon has played an integral role in two very successful (and unprecedented) medical ventures. She was an Oxford Health Plans board member and helped achieve underwriting authority from New York State, for alternative and complementary medicine where none had yet existed. She also helped implement a cost-effective, interdisciplinary health plan for Oxford that increased the level of quality care for all children enrolled there. Dr. Fallon has written numerous scholarly articles, lectured around the world on developmental problems in the pediatric population and served on the Board of Directors of the ICA and Kentuckiana Children's Center. She serves as a Senior Advisor to the Henry Crown Fellows at The Aspen Institute, as well as a Distinguished Fellow at the Athena Center for Leadership Studies at Barnard College/Columbia University. She is also a member of the Board of Trustees of Franklin & Marshall College. So you're feeling unmotivated: it's hard to get anything done let alone get out of bed, and the voice in your head is telling you “get your butt up,” “stop wasting your precious time,” “why are you sleeping in AGAIN”… what do you do?? This week's episode is a part two to motivation (check out eps. 28 for part one, one of our most popular episodes in 2022!). The dynamic duo share how their approach to motivation has changed over time and the hacks they've used to help maintain more consistent energy levels. As humans, it's easy for us to compartmentalize things into “good or bad”, “wrong or right”, “all or nothing.” For example: Being productive, pushing yourself, striving to be the best = good Lacking motivation, wasting time, staying in bed = bad But these labels aren't true, life isn't black and white, and living this way is not sustainable in the long run. Tune in to find out how they have learned to be more gentle with themselves through embracing periods of low energy, and how they have turned to curiosity and hacking habits to help spark motivation in their daily lives. We appreciate all of you for being here! ❤️ Say hello, give us feedback, or share any topics/questions you'd like to hear in future episodes. I've been eating Maui Nui Venison for the past two years, and there's no going back. My pantry and freezers are full of it, and I restock every month. Why? (1) If I combine Maui Nui Venison with even a little exercise, I drop body fat unbelievably quickly. (2) It tastes delicious and isn't gamey. (3) Ethically, I feel great about Maui Nui protein, as axis deer are an invasive species on Maui, where their population needs to be managed in order to protect vulnerable ecosystems. Harvested using stress-free methods, Maui Nui's fresh venison is clean-tasting, tender, and one of the most nutrient-dense meats on the planet. Maui Nui is a nearly daily go-to for me, both as a supplement to my daily diet (with broth, jerky snacks, etc.) and through main courses (via their fresh-meat subscription program). I fell in love with this company so much that I ended up investing, which is a rarity.Remarkably, Maui Nui has nearly stabilized Maui's Axis deer population, which means the door to one of the most exclusive proteins on the market will soon be closed. The list of people waiting for invitations to become a Fresh Subscriber is long, which is why I am excited to offer my listeners an exclusive opportunity to bypass the waitlist and get instant access to one of the few remaining subscriptions. Visit MauiNuiVenison.com/Tim to take advantage of this limited-time offer and secure your subscription today. If you are currently on the waitlist, you will get immediate access. Maui Nui will stop offering subscriptions when they reach 8,000 subscribers—when the Axis deer population will have reached equilibrium—so act fast.*For show notes and past guests on The Tim Ferriss Show, please visit tim.blog/podcast.For deals from sponsors of The Tim Ferriss Show, please visit tim.blog/podcast-sponsorsSign up for Tim's email newsletter (5-Bullet Friday) at tim.blog/friday.For transcripts of episodes, go to tim.blog/transcripts.Discover Tim's books: tim.blog/books.Follow Tim:Twitter: twitter.com/tferriss Instagram: instagram.com/timferrissYouTube: youtube.com/timferrissFacebook: facebook.com/timferriss LinkedIn: linkedin.com/in/timferrissPast guests on The Tim Ferriss Show include Jerry Seinfeld, Hugh Jackman, Dr. Jane Goodall, LeBron James, Kevin Hart, Doris Kearns Goodwin, Jamie Foxx, Matthew McConaughey, Esther Perel, Elizabeth Gilbert, Terry Crews, Sia, Yuval Noah Harari, Malcolm Gladwell, Madeleine Albright, Cheryl Strayed, Jim Collins, Mary Karr, Maria Popova, Sam Harris, Michael Phelps, Bob Iger, Edward Norton, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Neil Strauss, Ken Burns, Maria Sharapova, Marc Andreessen, Neil Gaiman, Neil de Grasse Tyson, Jocko Willink, Daniel Ek, Kelly Slater, Dr. Peter Attia, Seth Godin, Howard Marks, Dr. Brené Brown, Eric Schmidt, Michael Lewis, Joe Gebbia, Michael Pollan, Dr. Jordan Peterson, Vince Vaughn, Brian Koppelman, Ramit Sethi, Dax Shepard, Tony Robbins, Jim Dethmer, Dan Harris, Ray Dalio, Naval Ravikant, Vitalik Buterin, Elizabeth Lesser, Amanda Palmer, Katie Haun, Sir Richard Branson, Chuck Palahniuk, Arianna Huffington, Reid Hoffman, Bill Burr, Whitney Cummings, Rick Rubin, Dr. Vivek Murthy, Darren Aronofsky, Margaret Atwood, Mark Zuckerberg, Peter Thiel, Dr. Gabor Maté, Anne Lamott, Sarah Silverman, Dr. Andrew Huberman, and many more.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

Kristine Deer knew from childhood that she was meant to create, and when her mother gave her a box of fabric, some duct tape, and a stapler, she unlocked her passion for designing clothes. Fast-forward to college: Deer, of course, majored in fashion design before moving to New York City to pursue her career as a designer. But when The Great Recession hit in 2000, the industry changed. Deer found herself working menial tasks for other designers and witnessing a harsh corporate environment devoid of creative freedom. When she later lost her job, she was disillusioned and bereft. Leaving the city, she moved back in with her parents, determined to begin again. But how? After discovering her passion for hot yoga, Deer began to design her own yoga clothes—in particular the multi-striped rainbow leggings for which she eventually became famous. Eleven years later, she is the founder and CEO of the activewear brand K-DEER. In an intimate conversation with CoveyClub founder Lesley Jane Seymour, Deer shares her journey of reinvention both personally and professionally. FREE GIFT! Don't start your reinvention without downloading CoveyClub's starter guide called “31 Badass Tips for Launching Your Reinvention Without Fear!”

Happy Birthday to Casa DeConfidence! Welcome to a special episode of the Casa DeConfidence Podcast. On today's show, we celebrate our 1st Birthday. Today we look back at our first year as a podcast. We have had some incredible guests join us at our Casa DeConfidence. Many of these individuals have shared their unique journeys with us. We have learned so much from our guest: Valerie Hager taught us the concept of being "believing mirrors" for one another. This concept is from the book Women Who Run With the Wolves: Myths and Stories of the Wild Woman Archetype. From Katie Jeffcoat, we learned about Intentional Margins®, she is still running the coziest coffee shop on the internet, and I love that she is my friend IRL now. Most of our guests have shared their moms have been the biggest inspiration in their life. I love hearing that the most demanding job on earth of being a mom continues to impact so many lives. Speaking of MOMs, Dr. Laura Jagget continues to help others by teaching them 'How to Life' in her Mommanars on her Podcast and Youtube channel. Some of our guests have become dear friends. Mindy and the Passionistas, Nancy, and Amy. Melissa Myers, a great supporter of the show, and Claudia Taboada and Michelle Cunningham have also written new books since being on the show. During this year, we hosted some of my mentors, like Corinne Crabtree from the NoBS Weightloss Program and Lauren D'Angelo, who helped me get certified as a yoga teacher. During this episode, we also made a few major announcements: We have officially launched a standalone website for the podcast. You can now find all things Casa DeConfidence atCasaDeConfidencePod.comWe are also launching a unique membership site just for Casa Insiders. This membership will bring you exclusive content like more episodes of Peaceful You, exclusive extended interviews with our guest, "Ask Julie and Dan," Live episodes, and more. Your invitation to join us will be coming to your inbox soon. Lastly, we want to THANK YOU for being a loyal listener and helping us make this year one of the most memorable ones in our lives.
Scott’s life story is one of profound resilience, perseverance, and triumph against challenge. He was born in England but adopted by and raised as the son of a Midwestern civil servant and a factory worker. As a bookish bi-racial child raised by African-Americans in a conservative rural community, he never encountered others like him to look up to or act as mentors, And so he grew up playing with crawdads and turtles alone in a nearby creek, looking up at the moon from the backroads in wheat fields — knowing there had to be more.Kids like Scott weren’t supposed to make something of themselves. And on his journey, he faced tremendous — almost overwhelming — odds, including physical violence and obstacles presented by those who did not believe that he could or should succeed. But thanks to a few inspiring teachers who believed in him, a lot of hard work, and a dash of luck, Scott eventually made it to New York City, where he graduated from Columbia Law School, and where he has lived ever since.Scott’s history and triumphs against adversity led to unlikely and unexpected success as an attorney, government official, nonprofit executive, entrepreneur, and community leader in one of the toughest cities on earth. His journey has flown in the face of those who believed that individuals like him — working folks, people of color, and members of the LGBTQ+ community — could not and should not succeed, let alone lead. His ability to jump over barriers, consistently perform at the highest levels across professional sectors and repeatedly reinvent himself have given his message genuine authority and intellectual heft. And it has given him a zealot’s passion for ensuring that others never lose the internal fuel that will rocket them to ultimate levels of personal satisfaction and achievement.Connect with Scotthttps://www.facebook.com/scott.mason.1291https://www.instagram.com/s.scott_mason/https://www.speakerscott.com/https://www.linkedin.com/in/smason1/

In this episode of the podcast. I discuss with my guest, Mr Ezeogu Chuks Kayode, He's a Certified Life Coach, Psychologist, Corporate Trainer, Author and Conference Speaker. He has degrees in Mathematics & Psychology from Delta State University and the University of Ibadan respectively. He works as the Head of Academy & Coaching services at Olusola Lanre Coaching Academy, Africa's foremost coaching academy. We explore insights on how to position yourself and business for impact in these changing times. He shares his lessons from career so far, inspiring stories of sacrifices he has made to become the person he is now and so many more. And we discuss what it means to live life from your core and why it is a necessity for the entire human species. In this episode you will learn: - What it means to live from your core - How to find your core - How to reinvent yourself for impact in your business and work - Critical decisions he made that helped him evolve from who he was to who he is personally and professionally - What to do when he hits a rough patch and how to implement it - We also speak about the power of the human mind, workplace disruptions and many more Additional Recommendations - Origins By Dan Brown - Future Shock By Alvin Toffler - The Power of Your Subconscious Mind By Joseph Murphy
Personal ReInvention is Critical in the Future of Work (which is already here). The future of work isn't about what you used to be. It's about what you are. And “what you are” is always evolving. Problem is, most of us don't know how to reinvent ourselves. In this talk, our guest is Gaurav Rastogi, who discusses the need to shed old identities to survive and thrive in the new workplace. Sticking to past successes is a guarantee of future lack of success.
On this episode of SPx, we sat for meditative tea with local yogi, Rachel Miller. She shares how tea has transformed her meditative practice, helped her break down perfectionism and conquer the fear that once restricted her life. Miller opens up about taking leaps of faith and keeping herself "unstuck" by living life as a perennial student. In this light-hearted, yet poignant conversation with our host Ashley Ryneska, Miller talks her latest ventures in rock climbing, her foray into bath bomb making, and her newest passions, nude yoga and Jyotish astrology. Rachel is using her role as a yoga instructor to guide her students to self-acceptance, empowerment, and levity (with some help from Whitney Houston).
Winnie Anderson had me at "Corporate Escapee." That term alone was enough for me to want to learn all from her that I could. Little did I realize, at least at first, how deeply rewarding my time with her would be, rendering the definition of that enticing term well down the list of things I find most interesting about this dynamic person. Winnie is, among other things, the creator and host of a podcast called the "Let's Talk Tech Show." On its own merit, the show is terrific; a treasure-trove of easily digestible resources for anyone looking to navigate the word of entrepreneurship, especially as it relates to the use of technology. But once you learn more about Winnie's journey, you'll come to appreciate her efforts even more. Winnie left the American corporate culture twice: once by choice, and once by circumstances beyond her control. Guess which one stuck? I'm not going to say too much else about it here, because she does such a wonderful job of sharing the necessary details of her journey in our conversation. Some of the key things that jumped out at me from my time with Winnie included: 1. How we tend to attach labels to our identity, too often defining what we do as who we are. And we then set ourselves up to struggle when these labels inevitably change, whether it be through career, relationships, health, or all of the above. 2. How the most significant challenges in your life can become some of your greatest gifts. 3. Pride – or Ego, if you like – and how it can hold us back from doing what we love, asking the questions we want to ask, or taking the steps necessary toward living the life we really want to live. ©2016 Kevin Bulmer Enterprises

What could happen in your future if you could make your past work for you? It’s an incredible thought, isn’t it? Today’s guest, Tony Grebmeier has lived that story and continues to live it day by day as he seeks to add blessings and benefit to the lives of those he meets. On this episode of Growth to Freedom, Tony shares his powerful story of personal failure, addiction and the road back to wholeness. It’s a story that traverses many highs and lows and ends with a man on fire to bring help to those who are ready to help themselves. This is one of those inspiring stories that could turn someone’s life around, so make sure you not only listen to it yourself, but share it with others as well. Everything I have is a byproduct of me admitting that I need help ~ Tony Grebmeier Tony recognizes that his fast track to the bottom was precipitated by his unwillingness to allow others into his life. The way he says it is that he “spent a lifetime pushing people away.” But once he came to the realization that he needed the help of others and that many people had been placed into his life to BE that help, he began to make the long climb upward. Now he is at a place few entrepreneurs reach: co-founder of an Inc. 500 company (Ship Offers) and fiercely focused on adding value and blessing to the lives of everyone he meets. Tony’s story is an example of what can happen when you begin connecting with people on deep levels and allowing those who care about you to speak truth into your life. Be sure to pass this story along to others. As much as any conversation you’ve heard on Growth to Freedom, this one has the potential to truly change the lives of those who might need it most right now, and you can be an instrument of that change through sharing it. Thanks for caring. Michael Kasprowicz is a former Australian Test cricketer. Kasprowicz was one of the top performing fast bowlers in Australian cricket for almost two decades being the second highest wicket taker ever in domestic cricket history. He was known for his swing bowling and relentless and hard-working approach, and was particularly well regarded for his contributions in 2004 to Australia's success in the Indian subcontinent, where they had struggled to win. He was called the "Subcontinent Specialist” for his unique ability to generate considerable amounts of pace from subdued tracks and in the process picking up regular wickets. An MBA graduate, Kaspa, as he is commonly known, is a very smart strategist in how he approached his career, his sport and how he separated himself in the game of cricket, life and business. He has always positioned himself to stand out, even when the chips were down. This show will surprise you, and add enormous value for you as you seek to be chosen in the business environment.
