Yes, we Denverites love our green chile, but that fiery green-ish, orange-ish stew is hardly known at all in the rest of the country. Instead, we're known for things like the Denver omelet and, oddly, the cheeseburger. So it's time to set the record straight. Vivi (Vicky), character design analyst and video essayist, joins the podcast to break down how fame is built, sold, and protected. After a clear-eyed look at the “next big thing” machine around actors like Mason Thames, we examine how Hollywood favors familiar, marketable faces, how race and colorism shape visibility, how listicles and PR language disguise old hierarchies as meritocracy, and why certain careers are pre-selected long before the audience thinks it has chosen. From there, we move into fame as a system through To Be Hero X, Oshi no Ko, and My Hero Academia: trust scores and hero towers, idol factories and weaponized fandom, rankings and school pipelines that turn human beings into managed brands. We connect how these stories show image as currency, audiences as enforcement, and corporations as the final arbiter of who is celebrated, discarded, or sacrificed. All this, plus the content creator pipeline, sponsorship logic, scandal management, selective cancellation, and what it means to live as a product in an attention economy that never switches off. This episode is direct, detailed, and unromantic about what modern fame demands—and what it quietly costs.0:00 – IntroShow open, “I've Been Meaning To Watch That” intro, this week's topic preview. 0:26 – Meet Vivi (Vicky)Vivi introduces herself, her character design work, and how she reads visual choices and tropes. 1:21 – Episode OverviewFraming the three texts (To Be Hero X, Oshi no Ko, My Hero Academia) and “fame as a system.” 2:07 – Media Mania: Mason Thames & Manufactured StarsVulture article, Mason Thames' three #1 films, “ordinary” palatable whiteness, comparison to Jim Carrey, Daniel Kaluuya, Mahershala Ali, Caleb McLaughlin vs co-stars, listicles, casting patterns, race and colorism in who gets momentum.25:00 – What Is Fame As A System?Defining fame beyond Hollywood: power in a name, internet volatility, person-to-product pipeline.36:29 – Enter To Be Hero X (Context + Why It Hits)Underrated status, production, anthology structure, trust value system, Hero Tower explained.40:53 – Style, Structure, and the Hero FactoryVisual language, hero/villain PR, reality show framing, shipping, consent, system manufacturing crime and narratives.51:05 – Trust vs Fear & Who Gets ProtectedHeroes as controlled assets, commission, balance of worship and terror, parallels to scandalous but untouchable figures. 1:12:04 – Oshi no Ko: Idol Industry and Weaponized ParasocialityPilot, reincarnation hook without plot spoiling, how the show dissects exploitation, image labor, fans as enforcement.1:54:04 – My Hero Academia: Hero Rankings and Marketable MoralitySeries summary, school-as-industry pipeline, quirks as brandable assets, Class 1-A vs 1-B, children groomed into a hero economy.2:22:15 – Endgame: Systems That Eat Their OwnClosing on endings discourse, systemic rot, why To Be Hero X reads like Oshi no Ko + MHA pushed to its logical conclusion. 2:31:48 – WatchlistUpcoming watches: Chainsaw Man movie, My Hero Academia catch-up, other anime on the radar.Vicky's Linktreehttps://linktr.ee/viviwithavTikTok https://www.tiktok.com/@viviwithav2.0YouTube https://www.youtube.com/@viviwithavPodcast SocialsYouTube https://www.youtube.com/@ivebeenmeaningtowatchthatp2316Twitter: https://twitter.com/BeenMeaning2PodTiktok: https://www.tiktok.com/@ivebeenmeaning2podFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/Ive-Been-Meaning-To-Watch-That-113280083760521/Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/ivebeenmeaning2/

The Jungle closes out Season 5 with a raw, reflective, and unapologetically real conversation that brings everything full circle. After months of unpredictable guests, controversial takes, and the kind of honesty you can't fake, the squad sits down for one last hunt before the season wraps — and nothing is off limits. The icebreaker sets the tone: a full Season 5 recap where each host names their favorite and least favorite guests, the episodes that left a mark, and the personal lessons learned behind the mic. It's a rare look inside the minds of the hosts themselves — what they've built, what they've battled, and what's coming next for Season 6.From there, the Jungle moves through the rhythm of reflection and the pulse of music. Kodak Black's “Just Getting Started” feels fitting — a declaration that even at the end of a season, the movement is only beginning. Offset's “Haunted by Fame” hits with the weight of success and the shadow that follows it, while Big L's “Harlem's Finest: Return of the King” reminds us what legacy really sounds like. Stunna Gambino's “Overly Goin” rounds it out — hunger, focus, and defiance. In the relationship den, the hosts dive into the kind of questions that spark uncomfortable laughter and real conversation. Is it a problem if your girl uses a vibrator in bed? Why is it that people can sleep with strangers raw but freeze up when it's time to get emotionally vulnerable? And are one-night stands just harmless fun, or do they leave long-term marks most people don't talk about? Then the Jungle zooms out to the headlines shaking up the culture. Jake Paul cancels his PPV fight with Gervonta Davis, Blueface is finally out of jail, and the internet is in full debate mode over who Jay-Z could actually lose to in a Verzuz. And just when you think it can't get weirder, we find out Tom Brady cloned his dog.Episode 125 is more than a finale — it's a reflection of everything the Jungle stands for: growth, chaos, truth, and evolution. The conversation is heavier, the laughs are louder, and the brotherhood is undeniable.Season 5 ends here, but the hunt never stops.Subscribe: YouTube.com/@JSCNetwork_ Follow the squad: @thejunglesquadcastHosts: Ape Loso – @apeishere_ Rad – @radical_jl Rahh – @_rahhbanks

Nigerian-born Ifeoma Fafunwa has been called a social impact theatre maker, and her world-renowned play “Hear Word!” certainly earns her that title. The internationally acclaimed work amplifies women's voices, stories, and struggles. True to her Naija roots, Ifeoma has embraced many creative roles — playwright, director, actor, activist, and fundraiser — just to name a few. A proud mother of four, she is a true tour de force, gracefully balancing family life and Africa's entertainment scene. In this real-talk interview, Ifeoma and I chat casually as we reminisce about our early days in Hollywood chasing stardom. We were international fish in a national pond. But at last, Fafunwa broke free from Hollywood's culturally restrictive box and returned to Nigeria, where she now shines even brighter than the stars on the Walk of Fame. You'll notice that our nostalgic conversation brings out Ifeoma's lighter, more playful side — the same energy that we in America and “La-La Land” still miss. Yet we're proud to share this now-rising global star with the world.

Send us a textJoin Cheryl Lee - That Radio Chick on STILL ROCKIN' IT for news, reviews, music and interviews with some of our favourite Australian musiciansA packed car, an early call time, and a map dotted with regional stages—that's where today's conversation begins. We catch Mick Thomas on day one of a 22-show run to explore how touring sharpens a band, why small-town rooms can outshine big-city theaters, and what it takes to nurture a local scene until it hums. From renovated halls to backroom listening spaces without a bar, Mick explains how the right people on the ground turn unlikely venues into destinations and why audiences will happily drive to hear a group stretch in a room built for songs. We dig into legacy without getting stuck in it. Mick looks back at Weddings Parties Anything, the hits that still sing, and the temptation to lean on familiar bangers. Instead, his six-piece lineup rehearsed long-lost cuts and built a set around discovery. That same spirit powers GoComeBack, a vinyl-shaped album designed as a return journey: side one heads out, side two comes home with new eyes. It's a simple, durable concept that restores what many of us miss—sequencing, cohesion, and an arc you can feel when you flip the record.Numbers make an appearance, but they don't get top billing. We talk about the illusion of charts, the mirage of streaming KPIs, and the real-world value of in-store performances where thirty people can create more energy than three thousand passive streams. Record shops, counter chats, and shared favorites remind us music is a community, not a dashboard. Mick's advice to younger artists is blunt and hopeful: play, enjoy the work, and choose the path that leaves memories, not just metrics. What if everything you've been searching for is already inside you — just waiting to be remembered? What if the exhaustion, the blocks, the patterns that keep repeating aren't signs that something is wrong with you, but simply energy that needs to be cleared? You are not broken. You never were. You are your own best healer. In this extraordinary episode of HEAL with Kelly, I sit down with Oliver Niño — The Spiritual Activator, one of the most sought-after energy healers working today. Oliver didn't choose this path. He was a serial entrepreneur building and scaling businesses when his gifts suddenly activated during a trip to Sedona. What followed was a complete life pivot, and eventually the discovery that he came from a long lineage of healers in the Philippines. Oliver helps others do what once seemed impossible — clear decades of pain and activate spiritual gifts they didn't know they had. Together, we explore the energetic reality behind manifestation and why so many people struggle to create what they want despite doing all the “right” things. He reveals how unprocessed energy — from childhood trauma, environmental stress, and even generational patterns — blocks our natural creative power. When we remove these blocks, we stop forcing and start flowing. Life becomes easy, abundant, and aligned. We also dive into teachings from his book, Do This Before Bed: Simple 5-Minute Practices That Will Change Your Life, which offers practical ways to release the energy you've absorbed throughout the day, reset your vibration, and tap into your body's innate ability to heal and restore while you sleep. This episode is an invitation to remember what's always been true: that healing doesn't come from outside of you — it begins within you. Key Moments You'll Love:
What if the reason your career hasn't popped off yet isn't your content, your talent, or your mindset—but your discipline? In this week's episode, I'm joined by Alex Stewart, my team's Director of Implementation and the brain behind our viral 21-Day Brainwashing Challenge. Together, we break down why creatives resist structure, how discipline actually fuels freedom, and what it takes to turn your big ideas into sustainable momentum. We talk about: The two types of creatives—and which one you are Why “discipline” isn't the enemy of creativity (it's the amplifier) How to build consistency without killing your flow Why talent without a plan leads to burnout The mindset shift that separates the self-sabotaging artist from the self-made celebrity ✨ If you've ever said “I know what I should be doing, I just can't get myself to do it,” this conversation will rewire how you think about action, success, and follow-through.

When Mallory Peterson discovered she had Scottish ancestry instead of Cherokee heritage, she uncovered something intriguing that has captured her imagination. In the little town of Martinsburg, West Virginia she found a spy. And not just any spy but 17 year old Belle Boyd, the infamous Confederate spy known as "Cleopatra of the Secession."In this episode, I sit down with Mallory, a young genealogist whose complicated family story—raised by grandparents, not meeting her biological father until 14—fueled her passion for discovering the ancestors she never knew. Her journey into her family tree uncovered the migration patterns of her Scottish forebears, those rebellious, storytelling souls who settled in the Appalachian Mountains and brought their fierce independence with them.Together, we explore how Belle Boyd's story reveals the Scottish tendency toward stubborn conviction, the complicated legacy of being on the wrong side of history, and why some ancestors capture our imagination despite their flaws. From Civil War espionage to stage performances reliving her "glory days," Belle's life demonstrates that family history isn't always comfortable but it's always worth discovering. What stories of courage, rebellion, or notoriety might be hiding in your family tree?〰️

Erika Council, a chef, author, and the owner of Atlanta's wildly popular Bomb Biscuit Company, stopped by the Southern Living offices to do this interview in person. She grew up in Durham, North Carolina, though she spent plenty of time down the road in Goldsboro, where her grandmother ran the church kitchen like a five-star restaurant, even as she raised funds for civil rights. Erika's talent runs deep on both sides of her family tree. Her paternal grandmother, Mildred Council—better known as Mama Dip—ran a legendary restaurant in Chapel Hill for more than 50 years, feeding everyone from college kids to Presidents. For a long time, Erika wasn't sure she wanted to follow the same path, but of course, life had other plans. A few cooking side gigs turned into pop-ups, and those turned into a thriving breakfast business. She's now a James Beard nominee and the author of Still We Rise: A Love Letter to the Southern Biscuit. Sid talks to Erika about her family's legacy, the lessons baked into her journey, and how a simple biscuit can tell a much bigger story. RUNDOWN Is Mitch secretly a MOBSTER? The guys ride the high of a Seahawks blowout while fretting an Earnest Jones IV injury and torching D.C.'s awful turf, then rip through birthday/lore nuggets. An unforgettable World Series finish, seen through a Seattle lens—taking petty joy in Toronto's collapse while admitting Game 7 (and the under-discussed, error-filled Game 6) will haunt Mariners fans for years. Then it's all Seahawks: a near-perfect beatdown in D.C., vintage throwback uniforms, and why John Schneider should chase help at WR/OL/LB before the deadline. Mitch, Brady, and Jacson break down Seattle's 38–14 primetime rout of Washington — a game where both sides of the ball finally clicked. They discuss Sam Darnold's near-perfect night (one of only four 97+ QBRs in the NFL this season — three belonging to him), Mike Macdonald's astounding 11–1 road record, and the play-calling brilliance driving the offense. Rick Neuheisel joins Mitch to break down a wild week in college football — from the bloated buyouts fueling a $160 million coaching carousel to Washington's unlikely playoff path. The two dive into quarterback drama, "alma mater alimony," and the rise of dual-threat sensation Demond Williams, before wrapping with Taco Time's weekly honors — including a nod to Oklahoma's kicker and his unforgettable Daisy Duke game-day look. Christian Caple joins Mitch to assess the Huskies' 6–2 season and the playoff math that could still put Washington in the 12-team field if they run the table. He breaks down the defense's ability to hang with Oregon, the tricky stretch at UCLA, and how Jed Fish's success could make him a hot-commodity coach with a star quarterback in tow.
