Rubén Blades es músico, compositor y actor panameño. Estudió Derecho y Ciencias Políticas en la Universidad de Panamá y más tarde obtuvo una maestría en Derecho Internacional en Harvard Law School. También se dedicó a la política y fue ministro de Turismo de Panamá entre 2004 y 2009. Aunque su formación jurídica y su paso por la política marcaron parte de su trayectoria, la música terminó ocupando un lugar central en su vida. Lleva más de cinco décadas dedicado a la música y ha convertido muchas de sus canciones en relatos sobre la vida cotidiana y la realidad social. Es autor de temas como «Pedro Navaja» y «Amor y Control», en los que aparecen personajes y situaciones inspirados en la realidad. Su paso por Fania y su trabajo junto a artistas como Willie Colón, Celia Cruz, Héctor Lavoe y Michael Jackson marcaron distintas etapas de su carrera y de su relación con la música. Además, Blades ha trabajado como actor en cine y televisión. A lo largo de su carrera también ha hablado sobre la sociedad, la educación y la justicia, temas que forman parte de su manera de entender el arte y de contar historias. A passenger's video reveals interesting details from the recent evacuation of a Delta 757 aircraft in Atlanta. El gobierno de Venezuela ha pactado con la oposición una reforma del poder judicial tras una primera ronda de negociaciones, que debería avanzar hacia una transición democrática, siete meses después de la caída de Nicolás Maduro. La clave está en la transformación del Tribunal de Justicia, que valido la reelección fraudulenta de Nicolas Maduro en 2024. Esta primera ronda de negociaciones se ha llevado a cabo a puerta cerrada y sin la participación de la líder opositora María Corina Machado, que se encuentra en el exilio en Panamá y que ha dicho que no se opondrá a la reforma. Uno de los puntos clave de la reforma es el cambio en la designación de los jueces que componen el tribunal supremo de justicia, como explica Manuel Camilo González, experto en Venezuela, profesor de la Universidad Javeriana. "Ciertamente, la negociación no creo que vaya a ser muy fácil; no creo que vayan a salir a acuerdos muy rápidos porque esto supone quién va a ser el que juzgue y sancione, en caso de que exista un proceso de democratización en Venezuela, a los máximos responsables de violación de derechos humanos", estima González. "Lo que busca obviamente el Gobierno es blindarse ante el futuro. La oposición lo que busca es tener un actor democrático que pues obviamente no solamente sanee todo el sistema político venezolano -porque el tribunal ha sido muy importante para sostener a Nicolás Maduro-, sino también un sistema obviamente judicial que permita esa apertura democrática y sobre todo la que la justicia llegue a todos los ciudadanos, que sea una justicia que obviamente sea para todos".  Las conversaciones han sido auspiciadas por Estados Unidos, que jugara un papel de mediador cuando haya algún tema sensible. "Estados Unidos actúa como una especie de árbitro o de tercero moderador que lo que hace es empujar la negociación cuando esta se bloquea, y seguramente va a ser así. Estados Unidos va a hacer declaraciones, va a presionar para que efectivamente se llegue a un acuerdo para que las dos partes obviamente cumplan su rol dentro del plan de Estados Unidos. El plan de Estados Unidos siempre ha sido tener el orden, beneficiarse y lograr la transición. Necesita a la oposición para la transición, pero también a los chavistas para mantener el orden", asegura el profesor de la Universidad Javeriana. La oposición quiere derogar leyes contra el odio o el terrorismo que permitieron encarcelar a numerosos opositores, y lograr así un saneamiento del sistema judicial. "La idea es como quitar los obstáculos, que se dé la democratización, que esa misma democratización no suponga un peligro para los que dejen el poder, que muchas veces esos tribunales cuando se reforman, usualmente sirven para hacer purgas y como has visto las purgas que han existido desde que salió Maduro. Van a colocar seguramente como chivos expiatorios en judiciales muy irrisorias como corrupción o delitos financieros a ciertos cargos del antiguo régimen, es decir, el Gobierno de Maduro como una especie de ofrenda de que efectivamente el Gobierno interino está haciendo sus digamos su tarea". Las negociaciones se producen siete meses después del derrocamiento de Nicolás Maduro, el pasado mes de enero. Las partes aún no han dado fecha para la segunda ronda de conversaciones.

Secret documents are recovered from the wreckage of Libyan intelligence agency. Myles Bonnar is given access to copies of secret Libyan files which raise fresh questions about Megrahi and his alleged co-conspirators. These documents have been dubbed the Senussi Files, after Abdullah Senussi – head of intelligence in Libya and Colonel Gaddafi's brother-in-law. The files were found in Tripoli, in the rubble of the Libyan intelligence agency, the JSO (or ESO) destroyed by Nato bombs following the 2011 Arab Spring uprising.
