Ansonsten sprechen wir in dieser Episode über Schulsport als Brennglas für unsere Gesellschaft: zwischen gesundem Bewegungsangebot, fragwürdiger Leistungslogik und offener Demütigung im Namen der Noten. Ausgehend von unseren persönlichen Erfahrungen und Kindern von heute im Sportunterricht fragen wir, warum sich das Grundkonzept des Schulsports seit Jahrzehnten kaum verändert hat. Statt Lust auf Bewegung zu wecken, produziert der Pflichtunterricht für viele Kinder Frust, Angst und lebenslange Abneigung gegen Sport. Sport vs. Bewegung: Warum Wettbewerb nicht alles ist Wir unterscheiden klar zwischen Sport als Wettkampf und Bewegung als lebenslangem Gesundheitsfaktor. Radfahren, Schwimmen oder Yoga stehen für eine Form von Bewegung, die nicht zwingend auf Höchstleistung und Vergleich angelegt ist, sondern auf Wohlbefinden, Selbstfürsorge und Gemeinsamkeit. Dem gegenüber steht der klassische Schulsport, der weiterhin auf „höher, weiter, schneller“ setzt und vor allem misst, wer welche Normwerte erreicht – statt zu vermitteln, wie sich Bewegung gut anfühlt. Demütigung, Frust und Ausschluss im Sportunterricht Die Episode beleuchtet, wie schnell Schulsport zur Bühne für Demütigung und Ausschluss werden kann. Wer beim Turnen, in der Leichtathletik oder beim Schwimmen nicht mithalten kann, erlebt sich vor der Klasse sichtbar scheiternd – oft trotz bemühter Lehrkräfte. Das „Hassfach“ Sport fördert so depressive Grundstimmungen, Rückzug oder Clownereien als Schutzmechanismus. Besonders problematisch: Die Situation selbst produziert Scham, ganz unabhängig davon, ob Mitschüler:innen aktiv mobben. Schulbehörde, Kultusministerien und das alte Leistungsdenken Ein Schwerpunkt der Folge liegt auf den Vorgaben von Schulbehörden und Kultusministerien, die weiterhin starre Leistungskriterien und Messwerte im Sport einfordern. Wir kritisieren dieses System als unmenschlich, weil es Solidarität, Teamgeist und individuelle Entwicklung kaum abbildet, sondern Kinder in „können“ und „können nicht“ sortiert. Statt Bewegung zu lieben und als Ressource fürs Leben zu entdecken, lernen viele nur, dass sie „nicht gut genug“ sind – mit Folgen, die weit über die Schulzeit hinausreichen. Wie ein anderer Schulsport aussehen könnte Trotz aller Kritik bleibt die Episode konstruktiv: Schulsport wird als grundsätzlich sinnvoll beschrieben – allerdings nur, wenn er sich radikal an positiven Aspekten von Sport orientiert. Dazu gehören Teamplay, gegenseitige Unterstützung, sichere Grenzerfahrungen und ein Verständnis von Leistung, das sich an persönlichem Fortschritt statt an starren Normtabellen orientiert. Wir skizzieren die Vision eines Sportunterrichts, der Kinder stärkt, statt sie zu brechen, und der Bewegung als Lebenskompetenz vermittelt – nicht als selektiven Wettkampf unter Aufsicht der Schulbehörde.
