Praktische Auswirkungen in Michel Birnbachers Arbeit gibt es nicht, es werden lediglich Warnhinweise angezeigt, wenn die Energiesparfunktion deaktiviert wird. Er empfiehlt generell, Firmware-Updates durchzuführen. Ursprünglich überzeugter Nikon-Nutzer, erzählt Nils, wie er zunächst über die Leica Q3 zur Traditionsmarke Leica gefunden hat und welche tiefgreifenden Veränderungen diese Entscheidung in seiner Fotografie ausgelöst hat. In dieser rekordverdächtig langen Folge von Momente Deiner Geschichte durfte ich einmal mehr unseren Stammgast Nr. 1, Matthias Jedrusik aka Die Schaufel, begrüßen. Matthias war vor Kurzem 3 Wochen in Bangkok und Japan unterwegs. Die dortigen Erlebnisse alleine wären natürlich bereits eine eigene Podcastfolge wert. Aber auch das genutzte Equipment auf dieser Reise und die Erfahrungen damit sollen ein großes Thema sein. Denn er hatte - neben einer Q2, die allerdings für diese Folge bewusst etwas bei Seite gelassen wurde - eine Leica M11 gepaart mit einem Leica 50mm Summicron dabei. Viele Hörer hatten mir die Rückmeldung gegeben, dass meine Podcastfolgen so oder so oft in mehreren Etappen gehört werden und es dementsprechend relativ egal ist, ob ich lange Folgen nun aufteile oder am Stück in die Welt hinausschicke. Daher habe ich mich entschieden, diese 2 1/2 Stunden lange Episode NICHT auf zwei Folgen aufzuteilen. Lieber Matthias: Es war mir wieder einmal eine ganz besondere Ehre, Dich hier bei Momente Deiner Geschichte begrüßen zu dürfen. Deine Erlebnisse in Bangkok und Japan waren äußerst spannend und kurzweilig (was ja schlussendlich zu dieser langen Folge geführt hat^^) und haben mir noch viel mehr Lust auf eine Reise in diese Ecke der Welt gemacht. "Fotografie ist ein Gefühl das es mir erlaubt Momente einzufangen die einzigartig sind. Bei der Schwarzweiß- Fotografie gibt es keine Ausreden und keine Ablenkung. Der Fokus liegt auf dem Motiv und der Stimmung die das Bild transportiert. Meine Entscheidung ausschließlich in schwarzweiß zu arbeiten, entschleunigt mich. Das Ergebnis sollen zeitlose Bilder sein, die für sich sprechen. Es geht um Kreativität, Motivation, Ergebnisse Es geht um das Bild..." Das schreibt Mike Kroner auf seine Website im Reiter "Über mich", und ich finde, genau das spiegelt sich zweifelsohne in seinen Bildern wider. Regelmäßig hat er seine Leica Q2 Reporter auf der Straße mit dabei und fängt hierbei einzigartige Momente in besonderer Atmosphäre ein. Über seine Liebe zur Fotografie veröffentlicht er zudem Videos auf YouTube, in denen er zwar viel über Kameras spricht, hierbei aber bewusst keine bloßen Fakten vorliest. Vielmehr geht es ihm um den praktischen Einsatz und das Gefühl hierbei. Im Interview bei Momente Deiner Geschichte haben wir unter anderem über seine fotografische Herangehensweise, die Liebe zu Schwarz-Weiß und natürlich über die Marke Leica gesprochen. If you look at the state of Leica cameras right now, you'll see a carefully selected set of items. Their cameras are great in so many ways. But for lots of photographers, they're still not perfect. I'm not talking about the folks who won't buy them, to begin with. But I'm geeking out here with the folks who adore Leica cameras from the start. In this post, I discuss my idea for the perfect Leica camera. It addresses some of the problems found in the Leica M11 and even some with the Leica Q2. Most of all, it feeds into the gear acquisition syndrome that we have; but doesn't encourage us to be irresponsible. Take the Leica Q2 Leica designed and built the Leica Q system many years ago. And for some, it's the perfect camera. The Leica Q2 has improved over that. Wedding photographers and others talk it up. Every time it's in my hands, I fall for it just a little more. It feels like a Leica M but in a much more modernized way. The Leica M is an exquisite camera. And by all means, before we go on, please understand that I'm not saying that Leica should get rid of the other M-series cameras. But instead, let's call this the Leica Q-CL. I'm calling it this because the Q2 is smaller than an M. Anyway, though, we're starting out with the body and full electronics of the Leica Q2. Give it a the Leica M-Mount We're removing the excellent autofocusing lens on the Leica Q2, and we're replacing it with an M-mount. Indeed, the lens is part of what makes the Q2 special. It's sharp, versatile, can shoot macro stuff, and autofocus quickly with the latest firmware updates. But instead, we're removing the Leica Q2's lens, and we're giving the Leica Q-CL an M-mount. This means that it can shoot so many different lenses, like the 50mm f2 Summicron-APO and a bunch more. On top of that, we're using an EVF. If Leica adds a joystick, it will make selecting the focusing area much more straightforward. A photographer will be able to magnify anywhere in the frame, focus, and then shoot. What would be even more tempting is giving the Leica Q-CL internal 64GB storage. Let's also be very honest here; it doesn't need autofocus. If you're buying a Leica camera, then you understand the tactile functionality of it. You're purchasing a passion product that can still take beautiful photos. Leica cameras are a tactile experience that Sony, Canon, and Nikon can't even comprehend. If someone says that they're paying all that money and that there is no autofocus, they just don't get it. That's fine. Weather Seal the Mount Finally, Leica would add some sort of weather-resistant to the mount. And if we're really dreaming big, then they'll also start delivering a line of Leica M-mount lenses that have complete weather sealing. We know that it's possible, and we know that Leica's durability is undoubtedly very high. But let's get official! Even if you're not taking your camera out into the rain, the weather-resistant would still keep the functionality very high and for a longer time.

I didn't read the rumors of the Leica M11 purposely before I went into the meeting with Leica. To that end, I was genuinely surprised as to what I saw and experienced. Shooting at 60MP gets you tons of details. At 36MP you'll get a balance of details and high dynamic range. At 18MP, you'll get a small RAW file and lots of dynamic range. It also feels great in the hand. But it's also time for Leica to think about true weather sealing, building in an EVF, and a new style of viewfinder. Pros and Cons Pros Leica M9's colors have returned! Extended dynamic range as the megapixels go down– Aluminum version and Brass version.– Brass version has some nice heft to it– Maybe it's just that my unit isn't busted but the viewfinder is wonderful– New Leica Fotos update– Integrated USB port for charging and all other applications like tethering– I'm assuming this is the Sony a7r IV's sensor, which is fine because the autofocus on that camera annoyed me. And Leica is giving this the M9's color, so I honestly can't complain. – If you have a lens that won't resolve this sensor then you can use the lower megapixel options. This is also the best camera I've used with the 7Artisans 50mm f1.1. At the highest resolution, this lens can resolve the sensor.– Editing the files even feels like Slide film!– Capture One does a slightly better job of editing the RAW files for dynamic range while Lightroom gets better colors; at least that's the case for the pre-production firmware version we've tested. Cons $8,999 I don't know how I feel about the removal of the traditional bottom plate. In Adobe Lightroom, the dynamic range isn't all that great at high ISOs. If you shoot like you're shooting slide film, this is just fine. But I can see how folks will think this is traditionally a “con” vs a “pro.” You lose a lot of dynamic range at high ISOs and 60MP settings. All of it comes back in droves at the lower megapixel settings Sunny 16 metering is a tad wonky. Gear Used We tested the Leica M11 with the: 7Artistans 50mm f1.1 Funleader Contax 35mm f2 Leica 35mm f2 Summicron-M Innovations This is the first camera with an internal 64GB storage that acts as a second SD card. But more than that, this is a camera that gets more dynamic range the lower the megapixels go. Otherwise, this is just a Leica M through and through. We're not sure if this is the Sony a7r IV's sensor, and Leica won't say where the sensor came from. But we can attest that they've actually done something to make it stand out. Tech Specs 60MP BSI CMOS Full Frame Sensor Maestro II processor 4.5 fps shooting Aluminum (530 grams with battery) or brass body (640 grams with battery) option ISO 64 to 6400 on the ISO dial Silver or Black Special IR + UV filter cut and placed onto the sensor, it's incredibly thin 2.3MP LCD screen on the back 64GB of internal storage memory Single SD card slot USB-C charging 3GB of buffer memory At lower resolutions, the dynamic range increases from 14 stop to 15 stops Multi-field metering Erg...

Gleichzeitig sprechen wir über meine Erfahrungen mit dem Canon Professional Service, klären die Frage, was eine neue Frontlinse beim Canon RF 24-105mm L IS USM kostet und sprechen über den Sinn von UV Filtern als Frontlinsen Schutz und ob UV-Filter die Bildqualität beeinflussen. Damit kommen wir zum Thema Sensorreingung moderner Kameras wie der Canon EOS R5/R6/R3 oder Sony A9/A7/A1 und Nikon Z9/Z7/Z6. Irgendwie landen wir beim Thema Backups und Backupstrategien und finden heraus, ob wir mit einem NAS, DAS oder Cloudlösungen arbeiten. Von da aus hangeln wir uns zu CF Express Karten Typ B (Baugleich XQD und nicht Typ A) und sprechen vor allem über 4 Marken, SanDisk, Sony, ProGrade und Wise. Es geh vor allem um den unterschied in den Schreibgeschwindigkeiten abhängig von der Speicherkartengröße und darum, dass nur Wise und ProGrade eine Mindestgeschwindigkeit spezifizieren, wohingegen SanDisk und Sony diese nicht angeben.
