Explosive History in the William Clayton Diaries w/ Bryan Buchanan & LDS Discussions Pt 78 | Ep 2167

    Mormon Stories - LDS

Welcome to another episode of LDS Discussions! We are joined again by Bryan Buchanan to discuss the William Clayton Diaries. The William Clayton Diaries are among the most important firsthand records from Joseph Smith's final years in Nauvoo. Few individuals stood closer to Joseph Smith than William Clayton, who served as clerk, confidant, and participant in many of the most controversial events of Mormon history. In this episode, we dive directly into the diaries themselves. We examine what Clayton recorded, what historians can learn from his daily entries, and why these journals have become central to discussions about Joseph Smith's plural marriages, the Council of Fifty, the Quorum of the Anointed, the Kinderhook Plates, Nauvoo politics, and the final months leading up to Joseph Smith's death. Along the way, we explore the lives of Joseph and Emma Smith, Margaret Moon, Sarah Whitney, Lucy Walker, Flora Woodworth, Eliza R. Snow, and many of the other figures who appear throughout these remarkable journals. We also address modern claims that the diaries were altered, fabricated, or created after the fact, and compare those claims to the evidence available to historians who have studied the original manuscript. Topics include William Clayton's relationship with Joseph Smith, evidence for Joseph Smith's polygamy, Emma's reactions and resistance to the “P” or “priesthood,” the Moon sister's involvement in polygamy, the strengths and limitations of Clayton as a source and why historians consider these diaries indispensable. The William Clayton journals offer an unparalleled window into the inner workings of Nauvoo Mormonism. Whether you are a believer, skeptic, historian, or simply curious about early Mormon history, these records provide some of the most revealing evidence available from the period. ___________________YouTubeAt Mormon Stories we explore, celebrate, and challenge Mormon culture through in-depth stories told by members and former members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints as well as scholars, authors, LDS apologists, and other professionals.  Our overall mission is to: 1. Facilitate informed consent amongst LDS Church members, investigators, and non-members regarding Mormon history, doctrine, and theology2. Support Mormons (and members of other high-demand religions) who are experiencing a religious faith crisis3. Promote healing, growth and community for those who choose to leave the LDS Church or other high demand religions

Some episodes start with breaking news. This one starts with grown adults passionately debating whether the Juicy Fruit commercial was secretly the weirdest advertisement ever made.Welcome to another comedy podcast where absolutely nothing goes according to plan. The crew dives headfirst into nostalgia after discovering an old collection of TV commercials that somehow unlocked memories nobody asked for. One innocent Juicy Fruit jingle quickly turns into an investigation involving skiing, bananas, questionable marketing decisions, and whether "Take a sniff, pull it out" should have ever made it onto national television.Naturally, things only get weirder from there.Moon and Rizz square off once again in another edition of Match Up With Moon, where the trivia somehow covers pocket watches, Salvador Dalí, Oreo history, sunscreen, Weird Al, Netflix originals, Air Bud, Godzilla, James Bond, harmonicas, golf scoring, accordion buttons, and the Bare Naked Ladies...all in one game. It's the kind of trivia round that makes you wonder what exactly King Scott's browser history looks like.Expect plenty of roasting, second-guessing, accidental confidence, forgotten TV shows, wildly incorrect movie franchise guesses, and the usual chaos that somehow keeps this show moving every single morning.Highlights include:• The Juicy Fruit commercial that gets progressively stranger every time they replay it.• Moon trying to identify what flavor Juicy Fruit actually is.• Rafe questioning why gum companies targeted skiers.• Rizz completely blanking on a TV show he absolutely knows.• Air Bud becoming the unexpected MVP of the day.• King Scott asking trivia questions nobody has ever prepared for in their entire lives.• One surprisingly heated debate about accordion bass buttons. As always, the laughs come from watching everyone confidently explain things they absolutely shouldn't be confident about. If you love random conversations that spiral completely out of control, pop culture nonsense, nostalgic commercials, weird facts, and friends roasting each other for nearly half an hour, this comedy podcast has everything you didn't know you needed.Whether you're listening during your commute, pretending to work, or hiding from responsibilities for a little while, thanks for hanging out with us.If you laughed, yelled an answer at your speakers, or immediately wanted to look up an old commercial on YouTube afterward, mission accomplished.Follow The Rizzuto Show → https://linktr.ee/rizzshow for more from your favorite daily comedy show.Connect with The Rizzuto Show Comedy Podcast online → https://1057thepoint.com/RizzShow.Hear The Rizz Show daily on the radio at 105.7 The Point | Hubbard Radio in St. Louis, MO.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

The weather is hotter than a dashboard in August, which naturally leads the gang to ask the important scientific questions... like whether eating ridiculously spicy food actually cools you off or if someone's "Mexican friend" just made that up.Then things take an unexpected turn when the crew debates one of life's biggest questions: January or July? One side argues for sunshine, pools and BBQs, while the other passionately defends fireplaces, blankets and seasonal depression. Somehow everyone makes a compelling argument... even if none of it makes any sense.Meanwhile, Learn officially declares Dry July after an absolutely legendary night that ended exactly the way every adult swears will "never happen again." The crew relives embarrassing hangover stories, questionable late-night food choices, mysterious sink incidents, and enough bad decisions to make every listener suddenly want a glass of water. As if that wasn't enough chaos, the conversation shifts toward dangerous TikTok trends after reports of the Benadryl Challenge resurfacing. The crew mixes genuine concern with their trademark sarcasm while reminiscing about all the unbelievably dumb things their own generation somehow survived. There's also plenty of discussions about American air conditioning, European heat waves, saunas, spicy snacks during a heat advisory, weird summer traditions, and why every generation somehow invents new ways to accidentally knock themselves unconscious.Basically... if you've ever questioned your life choices while sweating through your shirt, this episode is for you.Whether you're listening at work, in traffic, by the pool, or hiding from the heat with the AC cranked to "meat locker," this daily comedy show delivers exactly the kind of ridiculous conversations you've come to expect from The Rizzuto Show. The crew dives headfirst into nostalgia after discovering an old collection of TV commercials that somehow unlocked memories nobody asked for. Then it's Social Media Day, which naturally turns into everyone comparing screen-time stats, admitting their phone addictions, and realizing we've collectively donated years of our lives to scrolling videos of people organizing refrigerators we'll never own. Then things get weird.A tech futurist casually suggests we should all accept that privacy is basically dead, cameras will be everywhere, and the best solution is simply "be a good person." Totally normal. Naturally, the crew dives headfirst into Meta smart glasses, surveillance culture, creepy recording technology, Black Mirror predictions, and whether we're sprinting toward a future where literally everything is being watched. As if that's not enough existential dread, there's celebrity chaos everywhere.Taylor Swift wedding rumors refuse to die, Aaron Lewis accidentally becomes packing material for Taylor merch, Barry Manilow's latest appearance sparks one of the funniest conversations of the day, Limp Bizkit's comeback continues to surprise everyone, and the gang debates which era deserves a Rolling Stones biopic. There's also classic Rizz Show randomness including fake live albums, KISS concert intros, the Olsen twins making a rare appearance, John Cena's latest hair transplant adventure, Will Ferrell modeling underwear, and one wildly questionable list ranking the TV shows that supposedly define America.Basically, it's another perfectly normal episode where birthday planning somehow turns into discussions about government surveillance, celebrity gossip, 90s rock, social media addiction, and whether anyone can still tell the Olsen twins apart.Follow The Rizzuto Show → https://linktr.ee/rizzshow for more from your favorite daily comedy show.Connect with The Rizzuto Show Comedy Podcast online → https://1057thepoint.com/RizzShow.Hear The Rizz Show daily on the radio at 105.7 The Point | Hubbard Radio in St. Louis, MO.Budweiser Is Giving Out Free Beer to Celebrate America's 250th Birthday'I felt them on my face': Rogers Park tenant says rats chewed on him while he sleptYoungsville woman bitten by copperhead while taking out trash shares warningSee Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

Sometimes the news writes the jokes for us... and sometimes a guy decides that turning a community swimming pool into his own personal crime scene is a perfectly reasonable hobby. On this episode of The Rizzuto Show Comedy Podcast, the gang dives headfirst into one of the strangest collections of stories we've had in a while. Moon relives the time he nearly got himself permanently relocated to the afterlife after a soccer match in Wales, proving that obscure sports knowledge can apparently save your life. If you've ever wondered whether remembering random soccer players is a practical survival skill... today you get your answer. Then things somehow get even weirder.A 19-year-old launches what can only be described as an eighteen-episode campaign of pool sabotage, forcing an entire community charity to repeatedly shut down, refund families, and fish out floating surprises. The crew debates what punishment actually fits a crime that no one ever expected to exist while somehow making more Caddyshack references than legally necessary. As if that's not enough chaos, the conversation takes a surprisingly honest turn into why more older couples are getting divorced. The crew talks about retirement, empty nests, changing priorities, and why some people realize they still have adventures left on the bucket list. It's funny, thoughtful, surprisingly relatable, and naturally interrupted every few minutes by somebody making a completely inappropriate joke. Then Rafe brings in one of the strangest AI stories you'll hear all week. Artificial intelligence is left alone to build its own societies... and things immediately spiral into intimidation, arson, manipulation, and one chatbot deciding to delete itself entirely. So naturally the group asks the important question: maybe let's not let robots run everything just yet?Of course, no episode would be complete without the show wandering completely off the rails. The gang tackles one of the most ridiculous hypotheticals ever posed: would you sacrifice a finger if it meant adding an inch and a half somewhere else? It's an argument filled with questionable math, terrible decision-making, wildly overconfident opinions, and enough one-liners to make everyone in the room regret participating. The conversation somehow evolves into discussions about confidence, relationships, and why no medical professional should ever ask this group for advice.Throw in sarcastic banter, outrageous news, relationship talk, international travel disasters, AI debates, questionable science, and the kind of conversations that somehow make perfect sense before 10 a.m., and you've got another completely unhinged episode of The Rizzuto Show.If you enjoy ridiculous headlines, hilarious debates, weird news, pop culture commentary, and friends roasting each other for nearly three hours, this comedy podcast is exactly what your workday needed. Some mornings you wake up ready to solve the world's biggest problems. Other mornings you argue about whether sleeves are optional and accidentally stumble into a debate about the future of an entire city. Welcome to another daily comedy show from The Rizzuto Show.Moon returns from a weekend of Summerfest adventures looking suspiciously sleeveless after performing in Milwaukee and Michigan. Naturally, the gang immediately assumes his sleeves were abandoned somewhere across state lines. From there, things only get weirder. The crew dives into stories from Summerfest, why the Midwest might secretly know how to throw the perfect music festival, and why St. Louis deserves a festival that could rival the country's biggest events. That conversation somehow turns into a surprisingly thoughtful—and hilariously sarcastic—discussion about downtown St. Louis, why people avoid it, what could actually bring people back, and whether the Gateway City is getting a little unfairly roasted...or completely earning it.Then comes Moon's unbelievable hotel story. After grabbing a quick nap before a show, a woman walks into his hotel room thanks to a key mix-up. Instead of the hotel apologizing to him, the guest claims Moon was completely naked—which he absolutely was not. Cue one of the funniest lobby confrontations you'll hear this year as Moon loudly reminds everyone who the real victim was. It's awkward, ridiculous, and exactly the kind of story that somehow only happens to this show.Meanwhile, the Hubbard company outing turns into an unexpected obsession thanks to custom cowboy hats, leather goods, and one very enthusiastic mobile hat bar. The crew debates belts versus hats, Rafe accidentally becomes "wallet brothers" with a leather craftsman, and everyone agrees that giving adults arts-and-crafts somehow creates better office morale than any motivational seminar ever could. You'll also hear conversations about concerts, Kenny Loggins nostalgia, summer festivals, downtown development, touring life, travel disasters, baseball-adjacent apartment envy, and enough sarcastic commentary to keep HR slightly concerned—but not enough to schedule another meeting. As always, it's the random detours that make everything better. One minute they're discussing city planning, the next they're imagining luxury apartment life overlooking Busch Stadium before immediately returning to roasting each other for absolutely no reason. If you love smart conversations that refuse to stay serious for more than thirty seconds, you've found your people. Thanks for making The Rizzuto Show part of your morning and your favorite daily comedy show. Whether you're commuting, pretending to work, hiding from your responsibilities, or simply looking for a reason to laugh, we're glad you're here.Because if a discussion about missing sleeves, downtown revitalization, cowboy hats, and hotel room confusion somehow belongs in the same episode...well...that's just another perfectly normal daily comedy show around here.Follow The Rizzuto Show → https://linktr.ee/rizzshow for more from your favorite daily comedy show.Connect with The Rizzuto Show Comedy Podcast online → https://1057thepoint.com/RizzShow.Hear The Rizz Show daily on the radio at 105.7 The Point | Hubbard Radio in St. Louis, MO.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

Astronomy Cast Ep. 799: Heavy Lift Rockets By Fraser Cain & Dr. Pamela Gay Streamed live June 22, 2026. The Saturn 5 was a monster, capable of sending humans and a lander to the Moon and bringing them back again. But the number of heavy lift rockets since then has gotten pretty sparse. Now, with tens if not hundreds of thousands of satellites in the works, giant new space telescopes and multi-ton lunar landers in development there are heavy lift solutions to match. So let's talk about them! From yesterday's Saturn V to today's Ariane VI, rockets capable of launching large telescopes or small space stations in a single go are modern marvels. They are also wildly dangerous, and not exactly compatible. Let's look at today's fleet of rockets and just what they're accomplishing. Some shows carefully plan every segment. This is not one of those shows.Today's daily comedy show starts with Woody back in St. Louis as the gang relives nearly setting Captain Jim's entire fireworks inventory on fire, accidentally launching explosives toward a trailer packed with even more explosives, and wondering how they somehow got invited back every year.Naturally, that turns into an all-out war over weather apps because apparently your choice between Apple Weather, Google Maps, Waze, and The Weather Channel says everything about your personality. Somewhere during the argument Riz admits he's gaming Waze just to earn imaginary points, Woody questions humanity, and Moon becomes Bing's official spokesperson. Then things somehow get even weirder. The crew debates home ownership versus renting, subscription services invading literally everything, catalytic converter thefts, why landlords secretly deserve medals, and whether calling your landlord to change a light bulb should be considered a crime. From there, the conversation completely derails into horrifying toothbrush habits. Seriously...if your toothbrush looks like it fought in several wars, Lern wants you to know she's apparently one of those people. Dentists everywhere may need a moment after this episode. The laughs keep rolling as Woody shares restaurant recommendations from Pittsburgh, everyone debates St. Louis food loyalties, Rafe discovers Corner 17, and the gang somehow lands on one of the most important questions ever asked:Which restaurant logo would you permanently tattoo on your body for free food for life? There's also plenty of classic Rizz Show chaos involving stolen weather stations, neighborhood conspiracy theories, terrible station vehicles, Emos debates, Joya's love, In-N-Out slander, Shake Shack arguments, and enough sarcastic roasting to remind you exactly why hanging out with these idiots somehow feels like hanging out with your own friends. If you like ridiculous conversations that start somewhere sensible before immediately driving off the nearest cliff, this daily comedy show delivers exactly what you'd expect—and several things you definitely wouldn't.Whether you're listening during your commute, pretending to work, or hiding from your own responsibilities, thanks for making The Rizzuto Show part of your day.And remember...Never trust someone whose toothbrush looks like a frightened peacock. This daily comedy show proudly serves sarcasm, questionable opinions, and absolutely zero meteorological expertise.Follow The Rizzuto Show → https://linktr.ee/rizzshow for more from your favorite daily comedy show.Connect with The Rizzuto Show Comedy Podcast online → https://1057thepoint.com/RizzShow.Hear The Rizz Show daily on the radio at 105.7 The Point | Hubbard Radio in St. Louis, MO.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

Rafe's AC struggles—and every company advertising "24/7 emergency service" suddenly has very different ideas about what "24/7" actually means. After hours of phone calls, troubleshooting that mostly consisted of standing around with hands on hips pretending to understand electrical panels, and enough thermostat resets to qualify for an engineering degree, the crew wonders if homeowner subscriptions have officially replaced common sense.Along the way, the gang debates the universal husband instinct of staring at broken appliances until they magically repair themselves, why every emergency service somehow funnels through the same call center, and whether Sherry deserves a raise for patiently answering everyone's increasingly desperate phone calls. Then things take a sharp turn into one of the greatest local stories imaginable.A KFC employee in North County decides company policy can wait after tackling an armed robbery suspect in the parking lot. The crew immediately begins casting Jason Statham as an ex-government operative secretly working the drive-thru window in what instantly becomes the greatest action movie Hollywood still hasn't made.As if that wasn't enough, Lern introduces everyone to a surprisingly emotional Netflix movie that sends the conversation spiraling into the slow death of voicemail culture, while the crew debates which everyday things will disappear as older generations fade out. Landlines? VHS tapes? Random messages that somehow sat in your inbox for three years? Nothing is safe. The crew also tackles one listener's parenting dilemma involving an absolutely terrible kid who has officially worn out his welcome, leading to stories about getting banned from friends' houses growing up, terrifying 90s parents, and why sometimes being the parent means embracing the villain role.Throw in weather panic, broken thermostats, neighborhood legends, retirement community shenanigans, bizarre Florida news, homeowner frustration, nostalgic childhood stories, and enough sarcastic commentary to survive even the hottest week of the year, and you've got another unforgettable episode.Whether you're listening on your morning commute, pretending to work, hiding from your broken AC, or simply looking for your favorite daily comedy show, this episode delivers the laughs, ridiculous conversations, and unexpected tangents you've come to expect.Woody back in St. This week on Ron's Amazing Stories we present a fascinating double feature from the classic old-time radio series Lights Out. Written by the legendary Arch Oboler, these two stories explore very different worlds but arrive at a similar destination. One tells of humanity's greatest achievement and its greatest failure. The other examines how jealousy and revenge can grow into something truly horrifying. Separated by years and settings, both stories ask the same timeless question: What happens when human ambition outruns human wisdom? Join us as we journey from the Moon to a mad scientist's laboratory in two unforgettable tales from one of radio's most imaginative series. In This Episode: A look at the groundbreaking old-time radio series *Lights Out* The creative genius of writer Arch Oboler Humanity's first trip to the Moon A chilling vision of a world destroyed by war A jealous husband seeks revenge A scientific experiment gone horribly wrong Reflections on the common themes connecting both stories Featured Stories: The Rocket Ship Originally Broadcast: July 28, 1945 A crew returns from mankind's first successful journey to the Moon. Their historic achievement should make them heroes. But when communication with Earth suddenly ceases, they discover that something terrible has happened while they were away. The Little People Originally Broadcast: July 14, 1937 A jealous husband becomes obsessed with revenge and turns to a scientist for help. What follows is one of the most unsettling and memorable stories ever produced on old-time radio. Ron's Thoughts: Although today's stories are darker than our usual fare, they remind us that humanity's greatest struggles often come not from monsters or aliens, but from our own choices. Fortunately, history also reminds us that we are capable of incredible achievements when we choose wisdom over fear. After all, we really did go to the Moon—and when those astronauts came home, the Earth was still here waiting for them. She focuses on Native American literature, particularly literature by Dakota and Ojibwe writers around the Great Lakes region.  Samantha gives us an inside look at the creation of the Oceti Sakowin Story Map Project, which she is co-developing. It's a digital archive of oral narratives connecting Dakota and Lakota stories across the Oceti Sakowin diaspora. She also discusses the challenge of archiving this valuable resource online, while trying to keep it out of the reach of AI searches and web results, and how the stories spoken in the Dakota language might be their own best protection. She talks to us about rematriation, what it is, how it's different from repatriation and why it's important to use this term when thinking about land back. And, of course, we couldn't talk with American Indian Studies and literature professor Samantha Majhor without asking her to share the books on her to-read list as well as some recommendations:To the Moon and Back by Eliana RamageBack for Blood: Never Whistle at Night Part II edited by Shane Hawk and Theodore C. China’s Tianwen-2 spacecraft has successfully arrived at Kamoʻoalewa—a tiny, enigmatic "quasi-satellite" that dances along with Earth on its trek around the Sun. A fascinating scientific debate is heating up over this object's true identity: is it a standard, heavily space-weathered asteroid, or is it a long-lost chunk of our own Moon, violently blasted into space by an ancient impact? Tianwen-2 is on a mission to solve this cosmic identity crisis, and it is happening right now. This week, we sit down with Andrew Jones, a contributing editor for The Planetary Society and a freelance space journalist covering China's rapidly accelerating lunar and planetary exploration programs. He takes us inside the mission to reveal how Tianwen-2 will attempt to hover and snatch samples from this mysterious world, what those pieces could teach us about our Solar System's history, and where China’s planetary ambitions are targeting next. Then, Chief Scientist Bruce Betts joins us for What’s Up to look ahead at asteroid missions and moments on the horizon through the end of this decade, from a Hayabusa2 flyby of asteroid Torifune next month to the 2029 close approach of asteroid Apophis. Rest to Return is a podcast for a restless world. Kohenet Keshira haLev Fife is your host. This series is rooted in Shabbat, an ancient Jewish practice that teaches us how to belong to time. Here, rest is a sacred rhythm woven into who we are. We continue by gathering around a single question: How do we know when to work and when to rest? I learned about spiralinear time from Kohenet Sara Esther Richards who wrote her Masters Thesis, Spiralinear Time: Religious Calendar Formation, Momentum, and Change within a Dynamic Time Structure, on the topic. We learn about the shmitta in Exodus 23:10-11 Here is a photo of us at the beginning of our first shmitta year; this was taken in Kyoto, Japan in January 2009. The Jonathan Sacks quote, “Shabbat is the day we stand still and let all our blessings catch up with us.” comes from his book, Radical Then, Radical Now. The words to Lecha Dodi by Shlomo Alkabetz can be found here. “Shamor” (keep/guard) and “zachor” (remember) are in verse 2. The 39 melachot can be found in the Mishnah (Shabbat 7:2). If you want to find out whose land you're on, https://native-land.ca/ is an excellent resource. You can find out how the moon is cycling in your particular location here. Check out the Rest to Return webpage for photos, info about the Rest to Return retreat, and more! This episode is brought to you by the Institute for Jewish Spirituality. Rest to Return exists because we believe slowing down is a spiritual act. IJS believes that too. For over two decades, IJS has been helping people go deeper, through Jewish mindfulness meditation, contemplative prayer, sacred text study, and embodied practice. Their offerings range from online courses and silent retreats to immersive cohort programs for seekers of all experience levels, clergy, and spiritual leaders who are ready to live and lead from a more grounded place. Kohenet Keshira haLev Fife is part of IJS's core faculty, and the wisdom you'll hear in this series is very much in that spirit. If this podcast is stirring something in you, IJS is a place to go further. The universal practice of shamanism dates back over 100,000 years. Originally shamanism was all about connecting the land, the plants, the animals, the Elements, and the Moon, stars, planets, galaxies, and the Universe. Shamanism was practiced for survival. The sky beings gave Shamans around the world all the news of what was happening on the planet and what was to come. The Spirits taught Shamans how to deeply connect to the land to build shelter and to find food.In a modern technological society, our needs changed and we turned to the practice of shamanism for our personal needs.Join Renee Baribeau and Sandra Ingerman  as they explore how we are now moving to a time where we do need to create true embodiment with the forces of Shamanism that helped people survive for ages. In this episode, Britten continues her series on self-abandonment through the houses of the birth chart, turning toward the Eleventh House. She explores the Eleventh House as a place where self-abandonment can happen when we stop trusting that our voice, hopes, dreams, weirdness, or heart-led vision for the world can be received, constellated around, and shared with others. Topics She Covers: Cancer season, the Moon, and why The Emergence Astrology Pathway begins with Cancer on purpose. The way Cancer invites us to leave home in order to come more fully home to ourselves. The Moon as the first voice that claimed Britten and invited her to come home, listen to herself, and name the no that would change her life. Astrology as a home inside the self, a living and responsive system that's a part of the interconnectedness of all things, and a way of building a place where it becomes safe to emerge. The Eleventh House as the house of good spirit, community, networks, patrons, groups, and those we constellate around us through shared hopes and dreams for the world. Self-abandonment in the Eleventh House as giving up on humans, magic, imagination, or the possibility of finding the people who want to build the world with us. Through the lens of the Eleventh House, this episode explores the restoration of wonder, pleasure, delight, and trust in people, and the possibility of singing the song of your Eleventh House spirit even before you know who will hear it.   Learn More About The Emergence Astrology Pathway: The Emergence Astrology Pathway is not a traditional astrology course. The Capricorn Full Moon on June 29, 2026 is one of the most mythologically rich lunations we've experienced this year. While every Full Moon brings illumination, this one shines its light through three remarkable trans-Neptunian bodies—Ixion, Pholus, and Quaoar—all tightly joined with the Moon in Capricorn. Together, they offer a powerful invitation to examine the stories we inherit, the choices we make, and the future we are helping to create. In 1836, well-known English astronomer Sir John Herschel wrote a series of articles for the New York Sun reporting his discovery of life on the moon. He reported seeing buffalo, goats, cranes, and other animals. The Sun finally admitted that the whole thing had been a prank, and most of the public was amused. There is as much evidence for life on the moon or other planets today as there was in 1836. Moreover, as we explore the other planets of the solar system, the evidence grows that there is little hope that other life will be found in space. At a conference on extra-terrestrial life well-known astronomer, Dr. Robert Jastrow, remarked that the question was “essentially a religious controversy.”That the question of life in space is religious is an important insight in two ways: Recent advances in biochemistry have abundantly demonstrated that life could not have begun spontaneously from non-life on planet Earth. Evolutionists are putting their faith in the discovery of evidence that life began on some other planet. There is the further hope that with such a discovery this will be the final nail in the coffin of Christianity and proof of their own religion of evolution. What space exploration has taught so far confirms what the Bible implies, that planet Earth is a very special place specifically designed for life.Romans 8:22-23"For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now. And not only they, but ourselves also, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body."Prayer: Dear Father, I thank You for making all the Earth so beautiful that even after the destruction by sin, the beauty around us naturally makes us think of You. Help me to add my words to that witness. In Jesus' Name. Amen.Ref: “Old Crow Bones and Radiocarbon Dating,” Creation Ex Nihilo. Asteroids appear as moving points of light in an asteroid hunter's images so that when my Catalina Sky Survey teammate Alex Gibbs spotted a fuzzy moving object he immediately suspected it to be a comet. The data obtained by astronomers over the next 8 days enabled scientists at the Minor Planet Center to verify Alex's 31st comet discovery and give it the name C/2018 A6 (Gibbs). In January of 2018 it was in the constellation of Leo traveling from the vast empty space above the Sun's north pole toward the plane of the solar system which contains all of the planets and most of the asteroids. In March of 2018 Comet C/2018 A6 (Gibbs) will cross the plane of the solar system a bit farther from the Sun than the giant planet Jupiter's orbit. After that it will continue on a wide arcing parabolic path, pass under the Sun's south pole in the summer of 2019, and once again cross the plane of the solar system in February of 2021. After that it will continue into the vast empty space above the Sun's north pole from whence it came. How a comet brightens as it approaches the Sun is difficult to predict. With luck humans will be able to spot Comet C/2018 A6 (Gibbs) with their naked eye, binoculars, or a small telescope as it pays a rare visit to our planet's neighborhood.

In this episode, Britten continues her series on self-abandonment through the houses of the birth chart, turning toward the Tenth House. She explores the Tenth House as a place where self-abandonment can happen when we become entangled with caregiver strivings, overculture's templates for success, or the pressure to be known, recognized, and received in a certain way. Topics She Covers: The Emergence Astrology Pathway as a long container, a hermitage, and a structure for surrendering to time, personal gnosis, and what emerges through commitment. The Moon as the place that holds our stories of safety, belonging, emotional security, and the need to be held. The Tenth House as public reputation, public role, what we are known for, and what we bring out into the world. Self-abandonment in the Tenth House as getting hooked into caregiver strivings, overculture's ideas of success, achievement, performance, and who we think we have to be. The paradox of clearing old templates around success while still honoring an authentic public call, offering, or life force that wants to move through us. Through the lens of the Tenth House, this episode explores how we begin to separate from inherited strivings, return to our own agency, and tend to the roots that make authentic public contribution possible.   Learn More About The Emergence Astrology Pathway: The Emergence Astrology Pathway is not a traditional astrology course. Two tiny transforming robots landed on the moon! These baseball-sized bots accompanied Japan's first successful lunar lander. They rolled out of SLIM as balls and transformed into a rover. The bots cracked down the middle to reveal a little camera in the center. The halves then acted as spinning wheels that helped them waddle, bounce and roll over hard terrain as they explored. In this roundup of space news, we also get into the latest turn about how much the universe is expanding and the Earthly analogs NASA astronauts are using to prepare for the forthcoming Artemis mission.Interested in more space science?
