James Bond's Real Superpower isn't what most people think. Everyone remembers the gadgets — the Aston Martin, the exploding pen, the watch. But Bond's true edge is something far more powerful. In this episode, Dan and Tom of Cracking the Code of Spy Movies break down James Bond's situational intelligence — and why it matters more than any gadget Q ever built. Bond reads rooms, people, and danger faster than anyone else. That's his superpower. We explore key moments across the Bond movie franchise. From Dr. No to Casino Royale, Bond wins by reading human behavior. Not by hacking. Not by technology. By understanding the situation. And we find James Bond's real superpower.

Is even the color blue part of royal hierarchy? New claims suggest Queen Camilla's wardrobe choices may carry deeper meaning, as commentators debate whether fashion still signals status inside the palace. We break down the reporting and what Meghan once said about royal dress rules. Then, a look at what the Royal Family actually drives — from King Charles's famous Aston Martin to William's early Volkswagen and Harry's surprisingly modest first cars. After the break, Daisy Goodwin reexamines the marriage of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert, raising questions about power, control, and one of history's most famous royal relationships.Get episodes of Palace Intrigue by becommming a paid subscriber on Apple Podcasts.
A new book suggests Prince William was not immune to criticism in his early royal years, with claims he was labeled “work shy” and pushed to define his role. We also look at reported tensions ahead of Harry and Meghan's wedding, including concerns over Princess Diana's jewelry, plus a glimpse at William's surprisingly low-key evenings watching The Traitors. There's also a family story involving King Charles's eco-friendly Aston Martin, a former aide reflecting on life inside the Wales household, and a look at the next generation of younger royals who may soon step forward.Get episodes of Palace Intrigue by becommming a paid subscriber on Apple Podcasts. This episode has a little bit of everything: claims that King Charles has disliked cats since childhood, the strict no-one-touches-my-Aston-Martin rule, and new questions about media control during his years as Prince of Wales. We also look at reports that historian Anna Keay may be the King's preferred choice to write the late Queen's authorised biography. After the break, Queen Elizabeth's former dresser shares a lovely story about mornings with ABBA, and a new book reveals what Bill Clinton and Donald Trump supposedly thought about the late monarch.Get episodes of Palace Intrigue by becommming a paid subscriber on Apple Podcasts. Care More Be Better: Social Impact, Sustainability + Regeneration Now
Most companies aren't trying to greenwash. They're trying to put their best foot forward — and that's exactly where they go wrong. Helen Neal, founder of HN Communications and creator of the IMPACT framework, has spent over a decade helping major organizations including Bosch, Heineken, and Aston Martin close the gap between what they say and what they actually do on sustainability. In this episode, she joins Corinna Bellizzi to unpack why corporate sustainability communication keeps failing — and what radical honesty, strategic storytelling, and the right AI tools can do to change that. They explore the difference between greenwashing and green hushing (the dangerous silence that's now spreading as companies grow too afraid to say anything at all), why human stories and measurable impact always outperform data tables, and what it actually takes to build stakeholder trust that can't be bought with an advertising campaign. Helen shares her IMPACT framework — Integrity, Meaning, Proof, Action, Consistency, Transparency — and introduces Zena, the AI governance platform she's building to help sustainability teams navigate regulatory risk before they publish. They also dig into B-Corp certification, the Polish beer brand using bison conservation to build authentic purpose, and why Tony's Chocolonely's decision to publicly disclose child labor in its supply chain — rather than hide it — became one of the most powerful trust-building moves in recent brand history. If you work in sustainability, communications, or purpose-driven business, this episode will change how you think about what you say — and what you've been afraid to. High Performance has a new show, and it's all about Formula One.Hosted by Jake Humphrey alongside former Aston Martin & Alpine Team Principal Otmar Szafnauer and ex-Ferrari & Williams Race Engineer Rob Smedley, High Performance Racing breaks down F1's biggest stories through the eyes of people who actually lived it.Jake explains why the audience demanded it, and why no other F1 podcast is made quite like this one — front row seat to the paddock, from team analysis and technical breakdowns to the unfiltered conversations of the pit wall. You'll also hear a clip from Episode 1 — covering the cancelled races, the Mercedes era question, Kimi Antonelli's talent, and whether F1 2026 has broken its own sport. Plus...can Lewis Hamilton ever become an eight-time world champion? That conversation is waiting for you in the full episode!Subscibe & Listen on Spotify: https://bit.ly/42lcqYNSubscibe & Listen on Apple: https://bit.ly/3Qz9ogXFollow us on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/highperformance.racing/Watch on YouTube: https://bit.ly/48NuT3T Hosted on Acast. Aston Martin is a name synonymous with sports cars, and it's a marque that has survived against all odds for over a century. Aston has always teetered on the edge of oblivion only to hang on for yet another chapter, being rescued time after time by wealthy benefactors and brilliant engineers.Russell Hayes' new book, "Aston Martin: the Entire Story" chronicles the people, the cars, the racing and the seemingly perpetual troubles of this quintessentially British brand. The break between races hasn't exactly been quiet. The FIA just confirmed a sweeping package of regulation changes for the Miami Grand Prix — super clipping adjustments, qualifying energy limits slashed, a new race start safety system, and wet weather tweaks — all aimed at making these cars less about management and more about racing. We'll break down what's actually changing, what it means for the grid, and whether it's enough to quiet the growing chorus of criticism. We'll also dig into who Jonathan Wheatley actually is — from Benetton mechanic in the '90s to the voice in Michael Masi's ear during Abu Dhabi 2021 — and what his move to Aston Martin means for both Audi and the wider paddock. Kimi Antonelli enters Miami as the youngest championship leader in F1 history, holding that title through the entire calendar break because George Russell couldn't do anything about it from his couch. And we'll take a moment to remember Juha Miettinen, a 66-year-old Finnish privateer who lost his life in a seven-car crash during the Nürburgring 24 Hours qualifying race this weekend. A man who raced a BMW 325i around the Nordschleife for nearly a decade, won class championships, and loved that track more than most. Motorsport reminds us sometimes that the risks are real at every level.Racing comes back in two weeks. There's a lot to process before it does.
