Dr. Ram, along with his team, provides top-tier care and is always available to address your concerns and clarify any doubts. In this session, he discussed a wide range of topics, from non-surgical treatments to complex surgical procedures. Let's dive right into the highlights! 1. Double Chin Correction with VASER Dr. Ram kicked off the session by discussing double chin correction. He explained how VASER technology helps in contouring and defining the chin area. VASER, a minimally invasive technique, uses ultrasound energy to break down fat, providing a more sculpted jawline without the need for extensive recovery. 2. Forehead Scar Treatments Next, he addressed concerns about forehead scars. Dr. Ram highlighted various treatment options, including laser therapies and specific scar revision procedures, to help improve the appearance of scarring and provide smoother skin. 3. Tummy Tuck (Mommy Makeover) One of the most common concerns he addressed was the tummy tuck or mommy makeover. This procedure is especially beneficial for women after pregnancy, helping to restore abdominal contours and tighten skin. 4. Droopy Eyes – Upper Eyelid Blepharoplasty & Brow Lifts For those struggling with droopy eyes, Dr. Ram shared his expertise on upper eyelid blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery) and brow lifts. These surgeries help rejuvenate the eyes, restore youthful appearance, and eliminate the tired, sagging look caused by aging or genetics. 5. Under-Eye Dark Circles Dr. Ram suggested a combination of fillers, fat transfer, and lower eyelid blepharoplasty as the best treatments for under-eye dark circles. These solutions can help restore volume and smoothness to the delicate under-eye area, offering a refreshed and well-rested look. 6. Breast Reduction & Gynecomastia Dr. Ram also addressed breast reduction concerns, particularly single-sided gynecomastia. He discussed both surgical and non-surgical options to improve breast symmetry and reduce excess tissue, providing patients with more confidence and comfort. 7. Nose Appearance While Smiling A common issue for many patients is the appearance of the nose when smiling. Dr. Ram provided solutions, discussing both surgical and non-surgical options to correct this issue and enhance facial harmony. 8. Fat Transfer for Upper Eyelids & Chin Implants Another popular topic was fat transfer for the upper eyelids. Dr. Ram explained how transferring fat from other parts of the body can restore volume to the eyelids, creating a more youthful appearance. He also talked about chin implants, a procedure that can improve facial balance and enhance the profile. 9. Skin Pigmentation & Sagging Skin Post-Gynecomastia Dr. Ram emphasized CO2 laser treatments for skin pigmentation issues and shared insights into addressing sagging skin post-gynecomastia surgery. He reassured patients that there are solutions available for these challenges, ensuring smoother, tighter skin post-surgery. 10. Keloid Treatment on Chest Chest keloids can be tricky to treat, but Dr. Ram discussed various options for managing and improving their appearance, ensuring that patients are aware of all their treatment options. 11. Lipedema Treatment & Non-Surgical Saddle Bag Solutions For patients concerned about lipedema or stubborn saddle bags, Dr. Ram went over treatment methods, including both surgical and non-surgical solutions to help reduce fat deposits in the thighs and legs, and achieve a more sculpted appearance. 12. Botox for Masseter Muscle Dr. Ram also provided clarity on Botox treatments for the masseter muscle. He explained how repeated Botox treatments can help address jawline concerns, reduce teeth grinding, and enhance facial symmetry. 13. Rhinoplasty Recovery & Brow Lift Complications Rhinoplasty recovery can be challenging, but Dr. Ram offered tips on recovery timelines and complications to watch out for. If you've been getting fliers every year, it may be time to consider a new approach to adding volume: the boomerang lift.We speak to the co-creator of the process, Dr. Oren Tepper, a board-certified Plastic Surgeon and the Director of Aesthetic Surgery at Montefiore Health System. That's the highest level of surgery when people look better, but it's actually undetectable." — Dr. Larry Fan"And I call my course my work the world's Cheapest facelift because these women start blossoming and coming back to life and this dark cloud of being single and feeling stigmatized and finally finding their power with men. And they literally look ten to 15 years younger at the end of twelve weeks." — Lisa Shield"I think there's a very big opportunity to not just improve our outer appearance, what I call our outer beauty, but also to improve our inner beauty." — Dr. Larry FanContinue On Your Journey: Lisa Shield | YouTube | Facebook | Instagram | Book a Call With LisaEmail the podcast at: podcast@lisashield.com

The two are among a group working to make specialized medical care more widely available, especially to those in remote or underserved communities. They share how their 3D telecommunication technology helps bring patients and doctors together when being in the same room isn't an easy option and how the experience is supporting greater patient satisfaction, allowing more time for surgeons to prepare for surgery, and making the assembly of a super team of medical experts from around the globe more feasible.Learn more:3D telemedicine brings better care to underserved and rural communities, even across continents | Microsoft Research Blog, May 2023Microsoft's Holoportation Communications Technology: Facilitating 3D Telemedicine | Microsoft Research video, May 2023Participatory Development of a 3D Telemedicine system during Covid: the future of remote consultations | Journal of Plastic, Reconstructive & Aesthetic Surgery, October 20223D Telemedicine | Project pageHoloportation | Project pageKorle Bu Teaching Hospital
When plastic surgery practices reopened after the initial wave of the pandemic, procedures increased by 44 percent, according to a 2021 report by the American Society of Aesthetic Surgery. The top three surgical procedures were liposuction, breast augmentation, and abdominoplasty. While these procedures are common, they overrepresent the types of plastic surgery that exist. Which surgeries are underrepresented? How were they discovered? Dr. R. Barrett Noone's book, “From Trenches to Transplants,” examines the history of plastic surgery, beginning at the trenches of World War I. He tells us how the practice has advanced over the years and how he thinks plastic surgery will evolve. You have been diagnosed with breast cancer or find you are at high risk of getting breast cancer and are facing a mastectomy. Now what? If you choose to reconstruct your breast what does this process look like? Patients are inundated with information at the beginning of a diagnosis or finding they have a genetic mutation. They see an oncologist, breast surgeon, plastic surgeon, radiologist, and other medical specialists. Where does a patient begin the research and planning for their breast reconstruction? Is timing important if you are currently undergoing treatment, either chemotherapy or radiation? Are lifestyle considerations important in the decision process? My guest on this episode of the DiepCJourney podcast is Dr. Santosh Kale, MD, MBA. He is a board-certified Plastic and reconstructive microsurgeon who practices in Gahanna, Ohio at Midwest Breast and Aesthetic Surgery just outside of Columbus Ohio. Along with his team at Midwest Breast he specializes in breast reconstruction (implant and tissue-based), aesthetic breast surgery, body contouring, and lymphedema surgery. The discussion we have today covers many of these topics in general terms for patients to begin to consider as they plan their own reconstructive Journey. Our goal is to provide this information to assist you at your consults in preparation for your breast reconstruction surgery.
I have had a lot of requests to talk about Breast Implant Illness (BII), so here we go! My guest today is Dr. Robert Whitfield, a conventionally trained surgeon who has spent decades as a plastic surgeon working with patients with breast cancer, who has developed a unique approach to recovery and healing people with these conditions, as well as using alternative methods for breast reconstruction without implants. BII is a condition where people who have had breast implants go on to develop conditions, such as chronic fatigue, brain fog, joint pain, hormone imbalance, and premature menopause, all driven by inflammation continuing to react to the implant that is in your body. You will hear more about:How BII impacts the body at a systemic levelHow other ailments can mimic this condition (and how we go about sorting that out!)Is explant surgery (implant removal) the right choice? How Dr. Whitfield's Holistic Accelerated Recovery Program makes a difference in a patient's recovery outcomeWhat you can do if you still want implantsAnd more!More about Dr. Whitfield:Dr. Whitfield is an experienced, Board Certified Plastic Surgeon. He completed six years of surgical training at Indiana University Medical Center. He remained at the Indiana University Medical Center to complete his Plastic Surgery Residency. While serving as the President Elect of the Research Foundation he gave testimony at the FDA hearings in 2019 regarding BII. Dr. Whitfield's philosophy is that the best plastic surgery results are the ones you don't see. He also strongly believes that patients have a right to know about ALL their non-surgical options before considering surgery. His goal is to work with you to bring about your self vision in a way that appears natural, flawless and 100% you.Connect with Dr. Whitfield:Dr. Whitfield's Website: https://www.drrobertwhitfield.com/Dr. Whitfield's Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/drrobertwhitfield/Dr. Whitfield's Store: https://drrobssolutions.myshopify.com/Connect with Dr. Tabatha:Dr. Tabatha's Website: https://www.drtabatha.com/Dr. Tabatha's Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/DrTabathaDr. Tabatha's IG: https://www.instagram.com/thegutsygynecologist/Dr. Tabatha's YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCWea1x1abLERehb5yn_nfowThe Functional Gynecologist's Guide to Balancing your Hormones: https://lcvjtpc8.pages.infusionsoft.net/LOOK AND FEEL AMAZING! From a young age, Board Certified Dermatologist Dr. Michelle Henry knew she wanted to be a Physician. Her interest in the field was piqued when her mother, a nurse at the time, brought her to a "Take Your Daughter to Work" day. All it took was a little white coat and stethoscope for young Michelle, and that was it; her path was set. Today Dr. Michelle Henry is a Harvard-trained Mohs Surgeon and owns a practice, The Skin & Aesthetic Surgery of Manhattan. In this episode of Where Brains Meet Beauty, Dr. Michelle Henry and I discuss the theme of artistry regarding aesthetic medicine; How one millimeter can really change the way one walks through the world. She discusses the importance of recognizing that there isn't one type of beautiful only "your kind of beautiful." We also chat about her favorite treatments, the importance of learning to say "No", how she proactively schedules to make time for work and personal life, and of course, her definition and way of dealing with success. #wbmb #careerjourney #dermatologist #seductionofsuccess

Each patient has to know the risks and benefits so they can make an informed decision. With the proper plan and meticulous attention to detail, each patient has the best opportunity for a successful outcome in his hands. Unlike SNPs, which are spelling errors, this looks for an entire paragraph of the missing code.” “Everybody's probably familiar with an easter egg that has the candy in it. So, you don't want to crack the shell of the easter egg when you're taking out the implant because maybe the candy in the middle is bad for you. Or it's leaking silicone gel.” “I'm a micromanager of everything that goes in the body before and after surgery because that's the way I get the best recoveries.” Links and resources: Breast Implant Illness Expert website Documentary: Explant (On Paramount Plus) Book: The Naked Truth About Breast Implants by Susan Kolb Follow Dr. Robert Whitfield on Instagram, Facebook, Tiktok, Holistic and Scientific Plastic Surgery Podcast Follow Your Longevity Blueprint on Instagram | Facebook | Twitter | YouTube | LinkedIn Get your copy of the Your Longevity Blueprint book and claim your bonuses here Find Dr. Stephanie Gray and Your Longevity Blueprint online Follow Dr. Stephanie Gray on Facebook | Instagram | Youtube | Twitter | LinkedIn Integrative Health and Hormone Clinic Podcast Production by Team Podcast Related episodes: Episode 17: Breast Implant Illness with Sarah Phillipe

A gracefully aging face is a beautiful thing, but, let's be honest, there are changes that occur with age that we would like to slow down. Age affects every part of the body. Changes in our faces are most at the forefront. Facial ageing occurs mainly as the result of skin changes and changes in the deeper soft tissues of the face. Factors that influence external skin changes include natural aging, skin type, sun exposure, facial movement, and routine skincare. In this podcast episode, Marni will be speaking with Dr Naveen Somia, President of the Australasian Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons. Dr. Somia is a published author of several scientific papers in Plastic Surgery. He was awarded a PhD for his 3-year research into Eyelid Reanimation using implantable microelectrodes and the study of Eyelid Movements. He is also one of few Australian plastic surgeons that provide treatment and management strategies for patients with lipoedema. Dr Somia takes an active interest in the teaching, training and mentoring Australia’s future plastic surgeons, as well as keeping abreast of new advances in science and technology. Listen with us as Dr Naveen Somia uncovers misconceptions and debunk myths about Aesthetic Surgery and Facial Ageing. Author: Michael Hunt, M.D. Educational Pearls Tattoo ink is applied below the skin, and because of this, they can lead to keloids, granulomas, tetanus, hepatitis B and C, and skin infections. Tattoo pigment has been found to contain substances like lead, cadmium, chromium, and arsenic; however, there are no long-term studies of the health effects of tattoos. In one study 14% of inks had ingredients that were banned in cosmetics. Nanoparticles of tattoo pigment can be found in the lymph nodes, and laser removal can precipitate their spread. Those with tattoos could experience complications with MRI because of the metal content of the ink. References: Khunger N, Molpariya A, Khunger A. Podcast #240: Honey and Burns Author: Nick Hatch, M.D. Educational Pearls Honey can be used to treat burns because it has antibacterial properties. It seems that facial cosmetic surgery has finally reached a tipping point where aesthetic surgeons can not only turn back the clock for many patients, but with new innovations recently discussed with Aesthetic Insider™ Radio, they can also possibly prevent a patient from going under the knife for years to come. Kian Karimi, MD, a Board Certified Facial Plastic Surgeon who practices at Rejuva Medical Aesthetics in Los Angeles, CA recently developed the NovaSculpt technique which is showing great promise in facial age reversal and youth retention. NovaSculpt uses a combination of PDO Threads and Dermal Fillers to lift and soften tissue, giving the patient an almost immediate youthful look. PDO Threads (Polydioxanone) have gained popularity recently as a stand-alone procedure, and now with this new technique, Novasculpt is defining its own unique space within non-surgical facial aesthetic treatments. Dr. Karimi teaches the NovaSculpt technique at the The American Institute Of Aesthetic Medicine www.pdotraining.com To learn more about Dr. Karimi, visit www.rejuvamedical.org. Today I’m talking with Dr. Jean-Claude Guimberteau. Dr Guimberteau practiced for many years as a hand surgeon specializing in microsurgical replantation and transplantation. He is the co-founder and former scientific director of The Aquitany Hand Institute, and was the director of research at the French Society of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery. Many of you know him best for his groundbreaking work exploring and defining the movement of tissues beneath the skin using an intraoperative endoscopic camera to record living tissues, and to develop concepts related to the new paradigm of biological structure in human beings. You can view some of those videos on YouTube, and the DVD and illustrated book, The Architecture of Human Living Fascia, explores the subject very deeply. In our conversation today we talk about how he transitioned out of performing surgery and into this discovery of form. We talk about the multimicrovacuolar collagenous absorbing system, or MVCAS for short, and what it has to do with form, how we are volumes, that the traditional anatomical view point of movment happening in 3 planes is incorrect, how each movement is unique, and that structurally we are an apparent, yet intelligent, chaos.
As the search for the fountain of youth continues, the newest facelifting technique comes in the form of NovaThreads. Threads have been used in facial aesthetic surgery in the past, but these new threads offer faster, more effective and safer alternatives to patients that are looking to enhance their look. In an exclusive interview with double-board certified facial plastic surgeon Kian Karimi, MD. of Rejuva Medical Aesthetics in Los Angeles, California, a national educator on NovaThreads and other facial injection treatments, Aesthetic Insider News asks if this new technique might possibly help patients bypass a surgical facelift. To learn more about Dr. Karimi: www.rejuvamedical.org.

Guest: Peter Adamson, MD Host: Michael Epstein, MD There may be many reasons for a patient to consider elective aesthetic surgery, but whatever the reason, they are often linked to the patient's expectations for the surgical outcome. While we know that most patients maintain a reasonable outlook for their care, how can we work to maintain an affable relationship with those who have unrealistic post-surgery expectations? Dr. Peter Adamson, professor of otolaryngology-head and neck surgery, and head of facial plastic and reconstructive surgery at the University of Toronto, details his experiences and his extensive research on patient relations with host Dr. Michael Epstein. How often does the thought of turning away a patient come into play in a typical practice? Are more of the so-called "problem patients" specific to certain procedures?
Guest: Joel Schlessinger, MD Host: Michael Greenberg, MD It's a doctor-certified, non-surgical procedure promising to melt away fat. What is the science behind mesotherapy and lipolysis? Is it safe? Is it effective? Host Dr. Michael Greenberg talks with Dr. Joel Schlessinger, immediate past president of the American Society of Cosmetic Dermatology and Aesthetic Surgery, about these potentially controversial treatment options.
