Escuchar audio

For this Musicals Magazine Podcast, Edward Seckerson talks to Bradley Jaden, possessor of one of the most recognisable baritones in Musical Theatre. Jaden has, in a relatively short space of time, established himself as the go-to heroic baritone of the UK's Musical Theatre scene. He's stormed the barricades of Boublil and Schonberg's Les Misérables, rising through the revolutionary ranks to assume his place as the darkest and swarthiest of Javerts now sharing the role with Michael Ball on the show's epic arena world tour. His forthcoming debut album for Westway Music was recorded live at London's Cadogan Hall and finds him carving a path through some of Musical Theatre's most iconic outsiders, from Shrek to Phantom. He talks to Edward Seckerson about the journey so far and the way ahead.
November is National Diabetes Awareness Month, and many peri- and postmenopausal women have questions. Like why is my fasting blood glucose and/or AIC going up? What role do hormones, diet, exercise, and lifestyle play? What does it mean (and not mean) for my current and future health? So, this week we sat down with midlife health and nutrition specialist Val Schonberg to explore “prediabetes” (which, spoiler alert, is not recognized as a diagnostic category by the World Health Organization) and how we should think about it as active midlife women.Val Schonberg RDN, CSSD, is a Registered and Licensed Dietitian with a master's degree in nutrition science from the University of Minnesota. Hey Rebel! Have you ever thought about aging, menopause, and body changes over the lifespan and felt anxious? It makes sense when the diet and beauty industry prey on us to be scared of these things. But what if you could rethink our response to aging and create a more compassionate, neutral, and realistic narrative around these very normal experiences? This is why I had Registered Dietitian and Midlife Health Specialist Val Schonberg on the podcast today! My associate dietitian Angie recommended her to come on after she recently took a continuing education course by Val, and I'm so glad she did because more conversations around aging need to be had! By tuning in today, you'll hear about: how she went from a rather sheltered upbringing from diet culture pressures to later in life becoming a victim to them and struggling. what helped her heal and what has helped her embrace and enjoy the aging process. the importance of separating your entire self worth from your body size. how to incorporate gentle nutrition as you age. Dec. 17, at 7pm, Lisa Schonberg will present "Old Growth Playback" four new sound works at the Sanctuary with Nina Isabelle & Brian McCorkle, 5 objects, piano, and percussion. This body of work by Schonberg began in the Oregon forest. She uses mics to detect sounds and vibrations that are unintelligible to the human ear, and this gives Lisa a deeper connection with natural settings. Lisa Schonberg spoke with Sina Basila Hickey and Caelan McPherson.
Last Sunday, Dec. 3, 2023, Lisa Schonberg gave a Field Recording Workshop at the Sanctuary that included a trip into North Troy to experience this location through sound with the technology of special microphones. Sina Basila Hickey was there to record the experience. In this segment you will also hear the voices of Allie Wist and Hanae Utamura. Lisa Schonberg will be presenting a body of 4 new spatialized sound works that are the culmination of “Old Growth Playback” at the Sanctuary on December 16. See our event page at MediaSanctuary.org to learn more.
Composer and environmental sound artist Lisa Schonberg welcomed three listeners into the studio for an experimental "first reaction" listening session. Listeners responded in real-time to a composition they were hearing for the first time. The featured track was Schonberg's own work, "Lookout Creek: Eighth Notes," which she composed as an artist-in-residence at HJ Andrews Experimental Forest in Oregon. This month, Lisa is presenting this as well as three other compositions as part of the project "Old Growth Playback," which examines cryptic sounds in forest and urban ecosystems. As part of this project, Lisa is also presenting a free field recording workshop from 1-4pm on Sunday Dec 3, and a live presentation of the music on Sunday Dec 16, both at the Sanctuary.

Are you convinced that with your welcome to midlife and menopause letter, you're also doomed to develop insulin resistance? It's not much different from believing that every pregnant woman will also develop gestational diabetes. Is it possible? Sure. Does it happen to everyone? Definitely not. In this episode, I've invited Registered Dietitian, Val Schonberg back on the show to help challenge some of the most common assumptions about insulin resistance for women in menopause. Your body composition can change significantly in menopause, but it doesn't automatically mean you've developed insulin resistance. In most cases, it just means you're human. Join us as we celebrate normalizing bodies of all shapes and sizes and building boring balanced plates! Link to bioRxiv paper: http://biorxiv.org/cgi/content/short/2023.07.13.548681v1?rss=1 Authors: Kobo, O., Yeshurun, Y., Schonberg, T. Abstract: Prediction is a fundamental process that spans most facets of human cognition and is one of the most essential aspects of efficient language processing. At the same time, prediction plays a critical role in reward processing. Nevertheless, the exploration of the involvement of the reward system during language processing has not yet been directly tested. Here, we investigated the role of reward-processing regions while listening to a natural story. In a pre-registered study, we utilized a published dataset in which half of the participants listened to a natural story and the others listened to a scrambled version of it. We compared the functional MRI signals in the reward system between these conditions and discovered a unique pattern that differentiates between them. This suggests that the reward system is activated during the comprehension of natural stories. We also found that the fMRI signals in reward areas are related to the predictability level of processed sentences and that the system might be involved in higher predictability during the processing of a natural story. Midlife is often when the toll of a decade (or more) of time spent trying to lose weight through dieting sets in. And what follows is a new sense of panic, driven by the idea that if you haven't been able to get comfortable in your own skin by now, time is running out. And as new research suggests, it's this body dissatisfaction that puts many women at risk of developing eating disorders later in life. In this episode, I've invited Val Schonberg, RD to expose the roots of eating disorders in midlife and why so few people, including the medical community, are noticing how widespread this struggle is for women in perimenopause and menopause. Join us as we talk about why it's so easy to hide an eating disorder, how we can unintentionally encourage them, and how to identify more of what we can control without compromising our health. To learn more about Val Schonberg and her work, visit her website at www.enlightenUnutrition.com and follow her on Instagram at @V.SchonbergRD or on Facebook @ EnlightenU NutritionLooking for a place to learn more about midlife, menopause nutrition, and intuitive eating? Link to bioRxiv paper: http://biorxiv.org/cgi/content/short/2022.12.18.520570v1?rss=1 Authors: Gabay, M., Schonberg, T. Abstract: Usage of Virtual reality (VR) has been growing in many fields of research and therapy thanks to its immersive and gamified nature. Detection of the subjective experience of the users is thus essential for effective personalization of content. Eye-tracking (ET) data and specifically gaze, in two-dimensional tasks has been linked to value-based choices and emotional states. Therefore, here we aimed to develop a method for passive identification of subjective preferences based on ET data collected during a VR experience. For this purpose, we developed a naturalistic dynamic VR task where participants searched and looked at complex objects of pets and control shapes that appeared in pre-defined locations in random order. At the end of the task, participants ranked their preference, valence, and arousal of the items they saw during the task. ET data was recorded using a built-in binocular eye-tracker within the VR headset. We found that the median distance of gaze from the center of objects and the median gaze scan speed showed a significant interaction with object type (pets/shapes), as well as a significant positive relation to preference and valence rankings of pets. Our results suggest that ET could be used as a passive biomarker for detecting individual preferences and pleasantness, and in the future may enable successful personalization of VR content in real time for various applications. Cancer screening is designed to detect slow growing cancers that on average take 10 years to cause harm. The benefits of mammography breast cancer screening rise with age, peak when women are in their 60s, and decline thereafter. That is why the American College of Physicians recommendation regarding mammography for women over age 75 is: In average-risk women aged 75 years or older or in women with a life expectancy of 10 years or less, clinicians should discontinue screening for breast cancer. Today we talk with Mara Schonberg, who has been tackling this issue from a variety of angles: building an index to estimate prognosis for older adults, writing about how to talk with older adults about stopping screening, a randomized trial of her decision aid, and how to talk to older adults about their long term prognosis. In the podcast she gives very practical advice with language to use, and references her decision aid, which is available on ePrognosis here. Mara keeps working at it, and the more she works, the closer we are to fine. -@AlexSmithMD
Originally from Burry Port in South Wales, John has released 6 studio albums, worked extensively in theatre and has appeared on television, radio and in concert all over the world. At the age of 19, John left Wales to study acting at the prestigious Royal Central School of Speech and Drama in London. Since then he has worked as an actor and singer in theatres all over the country in a great number of different shows. However, he is probably best known for his acclaimed record-breaking performances in Boublil and Schonberg's Les Miserables and in Andrew Lloyd Webber's The Phantom of the Opera. He remains the youngest actor in history to have played Jean Valjean in Les Miserables (a role he also played twice on Broadway), was voted the “Best Ever Valjean” and “Best Ever Performer in Les Miserables" by fans of the show worldwide and can be heard as Valjean on the Les Miserables Live! album. His re-interpretation of the character on the re-imagined 25th anniversary production earned him a Manchester Evening News Award for Best Actor in a Musical in 2010. He has played The Phantom in Andrew Lloyd Webber's The Phantom of the Opera nearly 2000 times (more than any actor in the show's West End history) and was a special guest in the finales for both the Les Miserables and The Phantom of the Opera 25th anniversary concert events – both seen by a global audience of millions. He has also appeared many times on television and radio in the UK both as an actor and as himself, has recorded voiceovers and audiobooks, presented radio shows and live events, has directed and produced live events and has performed solo concerts all over the world in venues such as The Royal Albert Hall, London, Carnegie Hall, New York and the Bolshoi Theatre, Moscow. He has released 6 solo albums and two compilation albums -which he also produced - through record labels Sain Music, Sony Music Japan and his own label JOJ Music: Hallelujah e.p (2006), John Owen-Jones (2009), Unmasked (2011), Rise (2015), Music of the Night (Japan-only compilation 2016), Bring Him Home (compilation 2017), Spotlight (2019) featuring The City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra and most recently The Christmas Album (2021). 2022 will see him launch a theatre based podcast called The Last Show On Earth.Support the show
Hola amigos! Welcome back! Are you chasing a certain body weight? Did you know your body is supposed to change? Menopause may feel like something to fix and yet, “menopause is a process, not a disease.” Val Schonberg sits down with David to discuss the intersection of menopause and nutrition.Highlights of this episode:Menopause and Disordered EatingMenopause and Weight BiasIntersection of Menopause and NutritionMenopause and Weight Inclusive Approach to HealthBody image and MenopauseCultivating Physical and Emotional Well-Being Episode Summary: This is Part 2 of last week's episode. Disordered eating steals the joy from eating and from our family and friend connections. Menopause is about change and disorder eating can disrupt this process negatively. Even without the presence of an eating disorder, dieting for weight loss is problematic. Weight loss is not recommended after 65 years old for longevity. For our eating, we can prioritize nutritious foods without dieting. Doctors recommending weight loss to anyone can be harmful and short sighted for a person's health. Val and David discuss nutrition inventions outside of weight, bringing in true self-care during this life change. Hola amigos! Welcome back!Menopause may feel like something to fix and yet, “menopause is a process, not a disease.” Val Schonberg sits down with David to discuss everything menopause. Highlights of this episode:The stages of menopauseMenopause and nutritionMenopause and digestionBody image and menopausePhysical and emotional well beingEpisode Summary: Menopause is the end of a woman's reproductive years, confirmed after one year without mensural cycle. There are three stages of menopause, perimenopause, menopause, and post-menopause. Over time, women experience hormone changes, resulting in symptoms like hot flashes, night sweats, irritability, and fat is stored in the central area - we don't know why actually. Menopause can be short or up to 10 years. Post-menopausal years without estrogen can mean a decline in bone health, osteopenia, and cholesterol can rise. Just like puberty, there is a process. If women's life cycles were an airplane ride, puberty is a turbulent ride up and menopause is the landing. Women in menopause and with weight gain will often self-impose food restriction, especially women who have dieted in the past. They get frustrated, because the diets are not working like they have in the past. When women go to the doctor, the LDL and cholesterol is higher, they are pre-menopausal, and the BMI is higher. The message becomes the weight gain did this and you are now at risk for other chronic diseases. However, these symptoms can be just the change in hormones, not the BMI or weight. How a woman reacts can be mentally disturbing. The desperation to lose weight can be troubling. In this episode, we chat with Mike Zarate about which of life's lessons can be learned from Boubil and Schonberg's second opus - Miss Saigon!"THERE may never have been a musical that made more people angry before its Broadway debut than "Miss Saigon."Here is a show with something for everyone to resent -- in principle, at least. Its imported stars, the English actor Jonathan Pryce and the Filipino actress Lea Salonga, are playing roles that neglected Asian-American performers feel are rightfully theirs. Its top ticket price of $100 is a new Broadway high, sprung by an English producer, if you please, on a recession-straitened American public. More incendiary still is the musical's content. A loose adaptation of "Madama Butterfly" transplanted to the Vietnam War by French authors, the "Les Miserables" team of Alain Boublil and Claude-Michel Schonberg, "Miss Saigon" insists on revisiting the most calamitous and morally dubious military adventure in American history and, through an unfortunate accident of timing, arrives in New York even as the jingoistic celebrations of a successful American war are going full blast. So take your rage with you to the Broadway Theater, where "Miss Saigon" opened last night, and hold on tight. Then see just how long you can cling to the anger when confronted by the work itself. For all that seems galling about "Miss Saigon" -- and for all that is indeed simplistic, derivative and, at odd instances, laughable about it -- this musical is a gripping entertainment of the old school (specifically, the Rodgers and Hammerstein East-meets-West school of "South Pacific" and "The King and I"). Among other pleasures, it offers lush melodies, spectacular performances by Mr. Pryce, Miss Salonga and the American actor Hinton Battle, and a good cry. Nor are its achievements divorced from its traumatic subject, as cynics might suspect. Without imparting one fresh or daring thought about the Vietnam War, the show still manages to plunge the audience back into the quagmire of a generation ago, stirring up feelings of anguish and rage that run even deeper than the controversies that attended "Miss Saigon" before its curtain went up." - By Frank Richhttps://www.nytimes.com/1991/04/12/theater/review-theater-miss-saigon-arrives-from-the-old-school.htmlhttps://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Miss_Saigonhttps://stageagent.com/shows/musical/1590/miss-saigonhttps://www.mtishows.com.au/miss-saigonhttps://broadwaymusicalhome.com/shows/misssaigon.htmhttps://www.imdb.com/title/tt6162808/https://www.nytimes.com/2017/03/17/theater/the-battle-of-miss-saigon-yellowface-art-and-opportunity.htmlhttps://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Claude-Michel_Sch%C3%B6nberghttps://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alain_Boublil

Abstract: Everyday decision-making commonly involves assigning values to complex objects with multiple value-relevant attributes. Drawing on what is known about complex object recognition, we hypothesized two routes to multi-attribute evaluation: assessing the value of the whole object based on attribute configuration, or summing individual attribute-values. In two samples of healthy human participants undergoing eye-tracking and fMRI while evaluating novel pseudo-objects, we found evidence for distinct forms of multi-attribute evaluation. Fixations to, and transitions between attributes differed systematically when value was associated with individual attributes or attribute configurations. Further, ventromedial prefrontal cortex (vmPFC) and the perirhinal cortex were engaged during evaluation specifically when configural processing was required. These results converge with our recent findings that damage to vmPFC disrupts decisions when evaluation requires configural processing, and not in evaluating "the sum of the parts". This suggests that multi-attribute decisions may engage distinct evaluation mechanisms relying on partially dissociable neural substrates. Copy rights belong to original authors. Abstract: The COVID-19 outbreak introduced unprecedented health-risks, as well as pressure on the financial, social, and psychological well-being due to the response to the outbreak. Here, we examined the manifestations of the COVID-19 outbreak on the brain structure in the healthy population, following the initial phase of the pandemic in Israel. We pre-registered our hypothesis that the intense experience of the outbreak potentially induced stress-related brain modifications. Volumetric changes in n = 50 participants scanned before and after the COVID-19 outbreak and lockdown, were compared with n = 50 control participants that were scanned twice prior to the pandemic. The pandemic provided a rare opportunity to examine brain plasticity in a natural experiment. We found volumetric increases in bilateral amygdalae, putamen, and the anterior temporal cortices. Changes in the amygdalae diminished as time elapsed from lockdown relief, suggesting that the intense experience associated with the pandemic outbreak induced volumetric changes in brain regions commonly associated with stress and anxiety. Schonberg isn't a musician dabbling in science, or an entomologist with a weekend hobby band. Through her career she's managed the unlikely pairing of the two, alternating between playing percussion on tour with her bands and doing fieldwork, investigating ecosystems that sustain insect life across the world. But in her most recent project, Secret Drum Band, she's found a way to marry the two.Full story here

Episode #25 of the Ground Shots Podcast features a conversation with Lisa Schonberg. We sat down at her home in Portland, Oregon, in-between her various research projects in the tropics. Lisa is a composer, percussionist, field recordist, teacher, and writer with a background in entomology and ecology. Lisa has traveled extensively to carry out fieldwork and perform environment-informed music. She earned her Masters in Environmental Studies at the Evergreen State College in Olympia, WA with a focus on ant biodiversity in the Neotropics. She documents soundscapes, insects, and habitat through music composition, writing, and multimedia collaboration. She strives to draw attention to endangered species, habitat loss, and other environmental issues through a merging of artistic and scientific practices, often in collaboration with ecologists. More info and artwork can be found on our website: https://www.ofsedgeandsalt.com/ground-shots-podcast/lisaschonberg In this episode of the podcast, we talk about: Lisa's ATTA fieldwork (Amplifying the Tropical Ants), a project in collaboration with Brazilian entomologists investigating ant bioacoustics in the Amazon, the ecological and cultural relevance of “sons escondidos” (hidden sounds) and how they can impact our perception of non-human species and our decision-making processes the importance of acoustic ecology and combining music composition and ecological field research how Lisa performs her place-based compositions with her ensembles Secret Drum Band and UAU. The Hylaeus project and Lisa's study of endangered bees that are endemic to Hawai'i Developments in citizen science in Hawai'i for the Hylaeus bees How research on the bees in Hawai'i can help to raise awareness about behavioral changes people can make to protect the bees' habitat The current administration's push to weaken the Endangered Species Act and how this is extremely problematic How cross-discipline collaborative research can make questions and findings more accessible Making art from scientific data to make it more fun for folks to learn about The pattern ecology project and the exploration of making art about science and through the scientific process As an additional component to this interview with Lisa, we're including a Ground Shots mixtape episode with a selection of music from the various projects Lisa mentions. Download that episode and enjoy listening to Lisa's compositions that utilize her field recordings in the Amazon, Hawai'i and beyond. 00h 00'00" Presentación 00h 01'22" Cabecera 00h 01'57" Presentación años setenta 00h 02'17" Le premier pas (Claude Michel Schonberg) 00h 07'00" Redevenir petit (Claude Michel Schonberg) 00h 10'11" Without you (Russell Watson) 00h 14'08" My love & I (Russell Watson) 00h 18'07" Presentación años ochenta 00h 18'33" Ce soir l'amour est dans tes yeux (Martine St. Clair) 00h 24'54" Il y a de l'amour dans l'air (Martine St. Clair) 00h 29'39" Duel d'amour (Martine St. Clair) 00h 33'28" Presentación bandas sonoras 00h 33'53" Le caviar rouge 00h 36'59" Alex et Nora 00h 38'52" Tzigane 00h 41'56" Presentación Wuthering Heights 00h 42'20" The wind 00h 46'18" The arrival 00h 51'00" Growing up 00h 57'14" The dinner party 01h 05'25" Edgard & Cathy 01h 10'45" The return 01h 18'57" Wedding dance 01h 23'24" Heathcliffe, Cathy & Isabella 01h 30'53" The death - Epilogue 01h 40'37" Presentación Cleopatra 01h 40'49" Wadjet 01h 45'32" Wedding of Cleopatra & Ptolomy 01h 51'16" Cleopatra & Caesar 01h 57'16" Journey on the Nile pt 2 01h 59'36" Birth of Caesarion 02h 02'35" Caesar and Cleopatra's arrives at Rome 02h 06'40" Cleopatra & Mark Anthony 02h 12'36" Life of pleasure 02h 18'16" The loves of Cleopatra 02h 23'00" Cleopatra's death Espero te haya gustado
We were both playing in a piece of music by Seth Olinsky, and only had a bit of time between the rehearsal and the performance. But Lisa and a few bandmates from Secret Drum Band were kind enough to share stories from the road as we all scarfed down a bit of pizza.

While you’re there why not check out the chat on some of our previous episodes too? If you haven’t seen the show before, it’s well worth checking out the 25th Anniversary recording to get a good idea of the story and some of the staging, plus some outstanding performances! Have a look at some of the shocking statistics about Asian casting on Broadway. We’re looking at you Aladdin! It’s crazy to think that Lea Salonga was just 17 when she auditioned to play Kim. Have a look at her callback auditionwhere she sings ‘Sun and Moon’ with the writers. There are so many amazing recordings from places outside of Broadway and the West End. Since we’re celebrating Asian actors this episode, let’s enjoy more of Hong Kwang-Ho who plays Thuy in 25th Anniversary recording. His voice is breathtaking! Here he is singing Jekyll and Hyde, which was huge in Korea and Phantom of the Opera where he was one of the youngest to be cast in the role. What are some of your favourites? Let us know! Maestro Classical podcast: episode 7, a holiday celebration feat. Tchaikovsky and J.S. Bach. 1. The London Symphony Orchestra "Nutcracker Ballet Suite: Waltz Of The Flowers" (mp3) from "Tchaikovsky: Nutcracker Suite / 1812 Overture" (Everest Records) Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky was a Russian composer of the Romantic era. While not part of the nationalistic music group known as "The Five", Tchaikovsky wrote music which, in the opinion of Harold C. Schonberg, was distinctly Russian: plangent, introspective, with modally-inflected melody and harmony. Despite the compositional efforts of The Five, Tchaikovsky dominates 19th century Russian music as its greatest talent. While his formal conservatory training instilled in him Western-oriented attitudes and techniques, his essential nature, as he always insisted, remained Russian. This was true both in his use of actual folk song and his deep absorption in Russian life and ways of thought. His natural gifts, especially for melody (what he called the "lyrical idea"), give his music a permanent appeal. However, it was his hard-won though secure and professional technique, plus his ability to use it for the expression of his emotional life, which allowed him to realize his potential more fully than any of his major Russian contemporaries. The Nutcracker is one of Tchaikovsky's best known works. While it has been criticized as the least substantial of the composer's three ballets, it should be remembered that Tchaikovsky was restricted by a rigorous scenario supplied by Marius Petipa. This scenario provided no opportunity for the expression of human feelings beyond the most trivial and confined Tchaikovsky mostly within a world of tinsel, sweets and fantasy. Yet, at its best, the melodies are charming and pretty, and by this time Tchaikovsky's virtuosity at orchestration and counterpoint ensured an endless fascination in the surface attractiveness of the score. The Nutcracker, Op. 71, is a fairy tale-ballet in two acts, three scenes, by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, composed in 1891–92. Alexandre Dumas père's adaptation of the story "The Nutcracker and the Mouse King" by E.T.A. Hoffmann was set to music by Tchaikovsky (written by Marius Petipa and commissioned by the director of the Imperial Theatres Ivan Vsevolozhsky in 1891). In Western countries, this ballet has become perhaps the most popular ballet, performed primarily around Christmas time. The composer made a selection of eight of the more popular numbers from the ballet before the ballet's December 1892 premiere, forming The Nutcracker Suite, Op. 71a, intended for concert performance. The suite was first performed, under the composer's direction, on 19 March 1892 at an assembly of the St. Petersburg branch of the Musical Society[1]. The suite became instantly popular; the complete ballet did not achieve its great popularity until around the mid-1960s. Among other things, the score of The Nutcracker is noted for its use of the celesta, an instrument that the composer had already employed in his much lesser known symphonic ballad The Voyevoda (premiered 1891).^ Although well-known in The Nutcracker as the featured solo instrument in the "Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy" from Act II, it is employed elsewhere in the same act. Based on the Gospel of St. Luke, the text describes the nativity of Jesus and is adorned by some of Bach's most colourful and beautiful music. In modern performance, the piece is generally either presented as a whole, or split into two equal sections. The total running time for the entire work is nearly three hours. Scored for an Evangelist, four vocal soloists, four part chorus and full baroque orchestra, including trumpets, timpani and horns, the Christmas Oratorio is among Bach's best-loved works. The Boston Bach Ensemble was founded in 1992 by Julian Wachner and Peter Watchorn, and performed principally at Boston University. It has performed cantatas, oratorios and masses by J. S. Bach, and features a choir of twenty young professional singers and a period instrument orchestra comprising some of the leading specialist musicians from the US, Canada, Australia and Europe. In 1998 the BBE recorded a celebrated live performance of Bach's Christmas Oratorio, which featured distinguished vocal soloists, including the celebrated Dutch baritone, Max van Egmond.
