GTA VI is everywhere right now. The latest reveal happened on Netflix, and at this point it feels like the floodgates are completely open. New details and information seem to be coming out every single day, giving us even more to speculate about and talk about as we get closer to the game.Sony has also announced a double State of Play for September 3. The first presentation will cover a broad range of PS5 games before immediately rolling into a second presentation focused specifically on games from Japan and Asia. Olivia Rodrigo raised $10 million at her Daisy Chain Fields festival for women's charities including Planned Parenthood and the Center for Reproductive Rights, then Melinda French Gates walked onstage and doubled it to $20 million. MapQuest made a surprise comeback to number two in the App Store as a result of Google Maps changing Lake Ontario to Lake America in compliance with US government sources. And back to regularly scheduled craziness, Trump threatened to report Kristen Welker to the FCC for covering his declining approval ratings, because that's how the First Amendment works. Trump is also skipping the 9/11 memorial because he wanted to give a speech and no one has given a speech there since 2012, making him the only living president not attending, and historic Japanese cherry trees gifted in 1912 were quietly bulldozed before official approval to make room for a DC golf course expansion. Sony and Warner Music sued Anthropic Friday night for what they called "one of the largest and most blatant ongoing thefts of intellectual property in history," alleging Claude was trained on tens of thousands of copyrighted musical compositions — legal experts say this is a landmark AI copyright case. "Take a look at what you're looking at." -- Jay Maisel   In this episode, Ward steps into unfamiliar territory at a fashion photography event sponsored by Sony and The Camera Store. Instead of simply making the same model pictures as everyone else, he falls back on what he knows: treating the whole thing like street photography. He moves between sets, waits for gestures and expressions, and eventually turns his camera toward the photographers crowding around the models. The experience gives him a taste of the collaboration that happens between a photographer and a willing subject—and makes the idea of organizing his own outdoor fashion shoot feel a lot less like a daydream. Antonio and Ward then remember legendary New York photographer Jay Maisel, who recently died at 95. Antonio shares his own encounters with Maisel, stories from the photographer's famously blunt workshops, and the quiet influence Maisel's work has had on the way he photographs color, light, and ordinary surroundings. Maisel claimed that when he went out with a camera, he looked for “absolutely nothing”—meaning he left his expectations behind and allowed the world to show him what was there. First they run through some special plat shoutouts, and then Max sprints at a record pace through the list of games mentioned in the previous PS1, PS2, and PSP episodes of the Mooglecast. Starting off the main topic of the show they each talk about the many obvious games like the Resistance, Infamous, Motorstorm, etc. They also bring up some of the other lesser talked about games like Puppeteer and Mod Nation Racers. Then there are loads of 3rd-party games to talk about like Wet and Castlevania Lords of Shadow. While many of them can be played on the current XBOX, we still want to play the games with the feel of a Dualsense in our hands and to earn a few trophies while basking in the greatness of what was the PS3. They also talk about the many indies that were released only as downloads when these were Sony's first steps into the digital frontier. Sounds like everybody should immediately quit their jobs, right?Well, maybe hang onto that health insurance.The show crunches another number: out of roughly 5 million registered creator accounts, only 5,076 have earned more than $1 million on the platform. Suddenly the “easy money” plan starts looking suspiciously like every other entertainment career.Naturally, this becomes a discussion about celebrity OnlyFans accounts, what exactly people are paying for, whether there's a male market for the platform, and the apparently untapped economic potential of vacuuming your house without a shirt on.Business school, but worse.Then the funny podcast nostalgia machine kicks into gear as Riz asks everybody to remember the websites and apps from the early days of the internet.MySpace. Napster. GeoCities. eBaum's World. ICQ. Strong Bad. Fark. The Chive. Chatroulette.Especially Chatroulette.Rafe perfectly describes the difference between Russian roulette and Chatroulette: Russian roulette gives you one bad chamber out of six.
