Welcome to another episode of the Outlast Podcast! Today, we'll be reviewing Survivor S44E11 titled “I'm Not Worthy.” The episode starts off with a tip for future Survivor players, which is to remain calm and composed even when Tribal Council doesn't go their way, just like Bobby De Niro. Carolyn, a smart and emotional player, was left out of the Frannie vote last week by her alliance-mates Carson and Yam Yam, and she did not take it lightly. She was upset and emotional, and it remains to be seen whether this blip will dismantle the Tika alliance. Moving on to the current episode, Danny, Heidi, Jaime, and Lauren still want to get Carson out, who is a smart player, has won immunity, and is good at puzzles. Yam Yam tells Danny that Heidi was the one who voted for him at the last Tribal, and when Danny confronts Heidi about it, she lies. Carolyn's lobster finds are also shown in the episode, which seems a bit out of place. Immunity is up for grabs, and Yam Yam wins the “fight the tide and hold your breath under a grate” challenge. It's a repeated challenge from the last season, and the contestants are getting tired of the same challenges. No one wants to go to the Final 3 with Yam Yam or Carson, and Carolyn knows she needs to keep Carson around. She approaches Danny to find out the plan and spills her secret to Carson that she has the Tika idol. Meanwhile, Jaime and Lauren claim they have “all the power” and can vote for Danny or Carson. At Tribal Council, Lauren accidentally slights Carolyn, and Danny annoys Carolyn with his quip, prompting Jeff to ask if she is irritated. The Tribal Council is entertaining, and Yam Yam adds his two cents. Overall, it was an interesting episode, and we can't wait to see what happens next. Will Carolyn's emotional outburst affect the Tika alliance, and who will be the next to go home? We here at HWIDG like to bring you important messages each week, but none has been more important than this one. Folks, there's a rising threat in our community, and it's time we address it. For too long, Tired, Old New Yorkers have been running around, rudely telling people off, walking around with marinara-stained undershirts, rambling about gabbagool, claiming they "knew Bobby DeNiro back in da day", and just generally creating a bunch of mayhem. So we are advising against a campaign to End T.O.N.Y, and we hope you'll join us.- Spin-off Shows- Vocal Fillers- Kaijuu Lovers- Recap ReviewsUrkel. Screech. Joey. Sheldon. What do these names have in common? They were the annoying sidekick on their respective shows, then when it came time for that popular show to end, they took the screechy monkey baby and gave him his own show. Typically this is just the same as the original, but now instead of an ensemble cast of likeable dudes, it's just the one guy. It's like if you took a cookie recipe ingredients, and replaced everything with equal amounts of baking powder and expected someone to eat it.We, um, don't, um, like, like, uhh, people that, uhh, throw in all kinds of, ummmm, like, filler words when they, uhh, talk or whatever. Especially when, uhhhh, the can, uh, just edit, uhhh, their own, like, podcast.Godzilla is not a hero. He's a monster. He's hellbent on destroying the Earth. Does he save Earth from other wacky monsters (or should I say, sweaty men in bad rubber suits)? Yes, he does. But only in a "No one destroys Earth but me" context. When there's a couple of rad teens in a big ol' robot trying to kill the monster of the week, you're not rooting for that monster. You want those kids with attitude to punch that monster in the face with a sword.A recap is not the point of a review. A review should let the reader know what the reviewer liked and disliked about the thing. For something like a video game, this would be graphics, gameplay systems, story, sound, replayability, etc. If a game review went level by level describing what the reviewer did, it would be a terrible review. At that point it's just a written Let's Play. For movies if you spend most of it just recapping the plot, then saying if you liked it, that's just a Wikipedia page Story section and a rating. All this and more on this week's episode! Don't forget to join us on DISCORD, and support us on PATREON or by BUYING A SHIRT!

Among her TWENTY-ONE Oscar nominations, there are 4 B-Sides we dig up to examine: The Seduction Of Joe Tynan, Falling In Love, Before and After, and Prime. We marvel at the cultural moment in which Alan Alda was a HUGE movie star, how handsome Bobby De Niro is in Falling In Love, how Alfred Molina nearly saves Before and After, and the wasted potential of Prime. Also noted is the limited, impressive career of director Ulu Grosbard and the propensity for movie studios to adapt provocative, best-selling novels in the ‘90s. After years of enormous box office success in the late 70s and early 80s, Dan has slowly faded from the spotlight, but never disappeared completely - and his success in turning his interest in shitty music and crystal alien skulls into genuine money-making schemes means he has a lot of free time to star in low budget UFO documentaries, the likes of which we’re about to dive into. Dan has some pretty dire warnings about UFOs for the Commentology audience, so to corroborate those claims, Max and Matt call NYC Subway Spiritual Consultant Keano for the scoop. All this after diving into friend of the show Bobby De Niro’s recent sexual harassment claims. Enjoy!

One of the greatest storytellers I've had the joy of spending time with, Peter Onorati is a gas! The good kind. As great an actor as he is, bringing truth, depth and unique flavor to every character he portrays, he brought that plus incredible warmth, humanity, and loads of the funny. And, funny people. I feel like I interviewed his whole family.... and Bobby DeNiro. Peter made it so easy… each question sparked a multitude of tales, one more astonishing and entertaining than the next… his grandfather’s secret, his mother’s master manipulation, from football to wrestling to wrestling naked with Kim Cattrall on Sex And The City, the actual Sopranos, fantastic Cop Rock stories, from Kathleen Wilhoite to Mike Post, Steven Bochco, who transitioned him to leading man, Civil Wars and Mariel Hemingway. Starting out at Ford Motor Company, getting an MBA and kicking ass at McCall’s Magazine, a sales and marketing maven, he brought those skills and business acumen to his new career - first improv, where he met his bride of 30 years, Jeanette Collins, a glorious Emmy Award winning writer, then to standup, commercials, Goodfellas, where he finessed Scorsese, Kate and Allie, and off he went. We got current with This Is Us and S.W.A.T. and talked his fitness, “The gym is the only place I go where my goal is to leave.” But go he does, and boy does it show. WOW, what a specimen. What an actor, what a human! Suzy Soro, I owe you big time for the connection. Beyond this show, these are people I hope to know. Thanks Lynne Stewart, I felt like you were in the room with us. And what good company that is. I had a phenomenal time, before, during and after the cameras rolled. From the first moment we said hello, Peter was an incredibly easy person to get to know. Does it get any better than that? Yes, add Pete George. You may not have heard of Donna Smith — but she’s one of the most important players behind the scenes in Hollywood. Over the course of almost 40 years, she’s been instrumental in the production of 157 movies, including Raging Bull, The Terminator, Back to the Future, Jurassic Park, Schindler’s List and The Matrix. She’s also the first woman to serve as President of Physical Production and Post Production at Universal Pictures. Despite her enviable career and powerful position, Donna is down-to-earth and affable in this podcast. She offers invaluable advice for anyone looking to get ahead in the film industry, including who you should get to know, the importance of the “business” in show business, and getting started in the seven-year process from script to screen. This is a must-listen for movie fans, and Donna’s tales of working with Marty (Scorsese), Bobby (DeNiro) and Sly (Stallone) are every bit as inspirational as the films she’s helped bring to the silver screen.

We discuss the lack of morals displayed by the characters, the Oedipal themes of the story and, of course, young Bobby De Niro's incredible bone structure. ↳ Skip to the movie: 29:20

Hey yo, so we got something you might be interested in. It’s a podcast. A real nice podcast. It’s got Phil Iscove and Kenny Neibart and a discussion about Harold Ramis’ mob spoof “Analyze This.” You know, that funny movie where Bobby DeNiro plays a mafia boss with a case of the yips so he hires a shrink who’s played by that guy, you know the one, the comedian with the curly hair who loves Sammy Davis Jr. and baseball? That guy. A mobster going to a shrink! You’d think it was a fantasy not a comedy cuz everyone knows real mobsters ain’t need no psychological evaluation, capiche? But this podcast, we think it’ll be worth your time time. And, if you’re not satisfied, you can take a long walk off a short pier, alright? Download the podcast and tell your friends about. Go on. If you're going to tell cool stories in comic books, it helps to have had a colorful life and interesting friends. Dean Haspiel has had both. His dad was a writer, occasional street vigilante and confidante of Marilyn Monroe. Mom's pals included Shelly Winters and the young Bobby De Niro, who was one of Dean's babysitters. Dean worked with Harvey Pekar and Jonathan Ames on their respective graphic novels, and won an Emmy for his title work on Jonathan's HBO sitcom "Bored to Death." He was also the inspiration for Ray the cartoonist, played on BTD by Zack Galifianakis. We talked about all of the above, plus Dean's beginnings as a comic artist, his love of superheroes and his own hero complex, his residencies at the Yaddo artist colony, and his latest comic memoir, "Beef with Tomato."
