This video features a riveting conversation between our host and author, Douglas Robbins. Douglas discusses the importance of emotional intelligence, helping oneself before helping others, and setting healthy boundaries. He explains the necessity of healing one's emotional wounds and the negative impact of falling into victim narratives. Additionally, Douglas emphasizes the significance of self-commitment, forcing yourself to confront the hard truths about yourself and maintaining integrity amidst societal decay. The discussion goes on to dissect the current state of the world, the need for truth, awareness, and unity, along with other socio-economic and political issues. Douglas ends the talk with his views on accountability and the power of love.00:00 Introduction00:00 The Importance of Helping Others and Self-Care01:03 Understanding and Setting Emotional Boundaries02:26 The Power of Education and Conversation03:17 Guest Introduction: Douglas Robbins03:33 Douglas Robbins' Journey and Work04:51 The Role of Truth in Personal Growth06:06 Exploring Douglas Robbins' New Book12:02 The Impact of Emotional State on Life14:55 The Importance of Self-Commitment and Emotional Healing16:19 The Power of Emotional Grit and Self-Reflection21:21 The Role of Boundaries in Personal Growth28:34 The Need for Emotional Intelligence in Today's World31:10 The Struggle of Self-Worth and Validation32:37 The Impact of Social Media and Internet Algorithms33:43 The Misuse of Freedom of Speech and the Rise of Misinformation36:05 The Importance of Emotional Intelligence and Healing in Society36:34 The Need for Regulation in News and Media38:32 The Dangers of Misinformation and Lack of Critical Thinking39:47 The State of Political Discourse and Partisanship40:21 The Role of the Internet in Shaping Social Interactions44:44 The Decay of American Values and Loss of Innocence51:55 The Importance of Truth and Unity in Society57:24 The Need for Accountability and Love in Personal GrowthPrevious Episodehttps://deadamerica.website/douglas-r...Den of Discussion - https://www.podpage.com/douglas-robbi... https://www.linkedin.com/in/douglasro... https://www.facebook.com/douglasrobbi... https://twitter.com/DouglasRobbins4 https://douglasrobbinsauthor.com/

Dr. Neeta Bhushan is a world-renowned emotional health educator, 3x award-winning author, & host of her top-rated podcast The Brave Table. Known as the queen of reinvention, and speaker on grit & resilience, she has shared her thought leadership on international stages (including the Women's Economic Forum in India, Google HQ, & Mindvalley) and in multiple international best-selling books. In this episode, she is interviewed for a vulnerable story about true resilience, emotional grit, accepting ourselves, dealing with grief and trauma. "That Sucked, Now What?" has been her uplifting motto after becoming an orphan after both her parents died of cancer, and was left responsible for caring for her younger brother. She had previously lost her other brother when he was 12 years old. It took her another decade to hit rock bottom. On New Year's Eve in 2011, she left a toxic and abusive marriage. Sobbing in her dental office, she began to process all of the grief, pain and loss she had experienced. Afterward, she began a journey of unapologetic, unwavering self-love, and had to learn how to pick up the pieces and move forward. Dr. Neeta sold her large million-dollar cosmetic dentistry practice, to help others find magic in their mess. As part of her own journey to becoming a leader in her field and a voice for women & women of color, she traveled across 45 countries researching human behavior, ancient Eastern philosophy and therapeutic psychology. Many of us turn to unhealthy coping mechanisms, and then eventually fall flat on our face and have to actually acknowledge what we've pushed away. The depth that we are able to meet ourselves and then others with vulnerability and authenticity drastically affects our healing path. Today we talk with Neeta Bhushan, co-founder of the Global Grit Institute, a mental health training platform for leaders and coaches, co-founder of the Dharma Coaching Institute, training thousands to live their best lives, and a thriving coach in her own right. Neeta went through the depths of the most unimaginable grief and eventually met herself and soared to great heights. She's helped thousands of people move past their heartbreaks, failures, and disappointments, researched human behavior, and fallen more than a few times herself, so she knows what it takes to get back up no matter what took you down. Listen in to hear her incredible story and how you can apply the lessons she's learned about resilience, falling apart, vulnerability, and healing in your own life. Topics We Discuss: [3:02] Neeta's story. Her mother was diagnosed with breast cancer when Neeta was 10. She had to grow up early and take on a lot of responsibility as the oldest daughter. Her parents were also tiger parents and she was expected to perform at a high level in school. [8:16] Neeta's younger brother passed away within a year of her mom passing. Two years later, her father also passed. She fell into victim and survival mode, overwhelmed by grief. Her extended family stepped in to help her and her remaining brother. [15:45] The family support also fed her coping mechanisms in her 20's. She didn't rock bottom until 29. Up until that point, she became an overachiever and just tried to push forward and “be okay”. Education and success were her addictions. [20:20] Neeta had the “perfect” marriage in her 20's… but it was all a lie and she eventually divorced because the relationship was tumultuous. This was the beginning of her spiritual awakening. [26:09] “Fly forward.” Neeta talks about this concept in her book - when we experience a fall we are faced with a decision to take responsibility and change or not. She dove headfirst into therapy and healing. [29:30] The meaning that you make about your experiences changes everything. Neeta calls this “the bounce factor”. The in-between stage between a sucky thing happening and moving forward requires vulnerability. You have to let go of any judgments you may have about the meaning you made. [33:45] Positive psychology has turned into a way to deny “bad” feelings and make everything positive. Toxic positivity became one of Neeta's coping mechanisms. She is naturally optimistic and clung onto that during hard times. After her brother died, she experienced survivor's guilt and the opposite of this positivity. [37:05] Where Neeta is now. After her divorce, she walked away from everything she previously knew and began saying “yes” to everything that she possibly could to push herself. She went on spiritual pilgrimages, started a nonprofit called “Independent Awakening”, began taking classes at Stanford business school, and became an angel investor - all while her dental practice grew. [43:20] Neeta eventually sold her practice because her ego wanted to expand it, but her heart was pulling her elsewhere. She moved to the Bay Area on a mission to interview 500 leaders and founders, and with that published her first book, “Emotional Grit.” She met her now-husband at multiple conferences over a few years until they decided to be together despite him being from Kuala Lumpur. [46:53] Neeta and her husband put their core values at the center of their relationship, something that couldn't have been done without each of them doing the work on their own. She was afraid but open to trying. It reminded her of the slivers of joy that she had while going in and out of hospitals and grieving. hings can suck and you can still be okay. There is often a duality. [52:15] Neeta has received signs from her mom, dad, and brother. She's seen them in spiritual journeys, worked with mediums, and had many dreams about them. They are her angels. FOLLOW NEETA BHUSHAN: Find Neeta and the programs she offers on her website. Follow her on Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, and Youtube. And most of us, either we shy away from it, or we distract ourselves, because it's too, it's too hard to start reconciling or healing the past.”“What if we did allow ourselves to stretch where it was uncomfortable to really feel when it was really discomforting, because that's when we grow the most.”“if you are feeling stuck, if you are attracting the same kinds of patterns, or bad employees, or bad team members or bad situations or thing just doesn't seem like anything's working at this point. Where are you neglecting yourself?”“Confidence means you are brave enough to know that there may be fear around the things that you're doing, but you're going to be unapologetic. Hey Brave Table fam, thanks for joining me today for another solocast episode. We hear a lot these days about “doing the work,” but what does it all mean? What IS the work, and HOW do you do it? Join me today as I break it down through my own healing journey and what I've learned along the way that I'm SO excited to share with you. Hey Brave Table crew - welcome back for another episode. Today I'm sitting down with one of my dear friends and founder of Contrarian Thinking, Codie Sanchez. We're going to dive into financial freedom, creating abundance, and building wealth through avenues you might have never even thought of. Codie and I met during a weekend event and formed a sister bond immediately. We both shared the experience of having lived a super traditional life and longing for something more — something aligned with our soul calling. Both of us navigated first marriages, and divorces- Codie went from a white-picket-fence, country-club, 9-5-office-life to completely disrupting the finance space by breaking it down and making it accessible. She proves that a life of financial freedom is possible for anyone — even when you stray from a conventional life path. She shares the story of how Emotional Grit, my first book led into sparking her evolution, and how managing your mindset while going through transition will help spearhead your next evolution. She is the founder of Contrarian Thinking, a media company and newsletter dedicated to talking about money in an honest yet unintimidating way. She also invests in what she refers to as ‘boring businesses' — we're talking things like laundromats, car washes, vending machines — industry outsiders that people often overlook and how you can run them to earn passive income. Loves, how can you start calling in all that juicy abundance that is waiting for you? Without financial freedom, you'll continue to seek safety in the conventional & traditional. So if there is something you long to do, do it right now; do the thing that lights you up. Because as Codie will let you know, there are so many ways to make money by following your heart. Some of the juicy nuggets you'll get out of this episode: - Figuring out your identity and discovering who you are after divorce, when you change careers, and when lose your social circle - Democratizing the traditional way of doing business & investing and making it attainable to anyone - Viewing every activity you do as a business and how to create a “You” Corp - How to create multiple streams of income and generate passive income, and why there's never been a better time to do so - The difference between high-risk and low-risk businesses and how you can slowly begin to build an investment portfolio - even without tons of cash - And MUCH more. Hey team Brave Table! This week's episode is a super fun one! I sat down with my boo, my baby daddy, my husband, and - also - serial entrepreneur, author, and coach, Ajit Nawalkha. This is part 1 of a 2-part episode! People often ask how we keep our relationship fun, juicy and fresh since we're together so often as business partners, life partners, and now our most important roles of mom and dad. We'll touch on a few of our tricks for clearly defining the different roles we play and placing and maintaining boundaries around them. We also touch on how to show up for our partners when moving through enormous change - in our case, this was the birthing of a new business, a new baby, and moving our family from LA to Austin. I'm sure pretty much ALL of you have experienced some huge shifts over the past couple of years, so we'll share with you some of the tools and rituals we had to revisit to help us get through this challenging season. Hi loves! This is the second part of my conversation with my husband Ajit on moving into a new chapter of our lives as parents to Arie and Aiyla and how our children are our greatest teachers. We talk about the challenges of parenting during a move, a pandemic, and validating children's feelings. With the birth of Aiyla and this being our second rodeo in the parenthood game, I ask Ajit how having a daughter has heightened his warrior-protector mode and if there's one message he'd want our children to know - what would it be? We also dive into the rise of the matriarchy, open up about our fears and concerns about raising children in today's world, our hopes for the future of humanity, and how we all get to choose the world we want to create for our kids. Plus, find out how we keep the SPICE in our lives outside of parenthood and keep date nights creative and inspiring! Some of the juicy nuggets you'll experience in this episode: - Seeing your kids as collaborators for your self-development and personal growth - Discovering new things about yourself through your interactions with your kids - Modelling behavior for your children through your routines and actions and creating life habits that involve your children - Prioritizing your health as a means to maintain your vitality and be present for your children throughout your life - The importance of recalibrating with time without kids and reserving time for intrigue and surprise - We wrap up with a fun and light igniting round where Ajit talks about his suckiest human moment and what he's reading - his answer might surprise you! Welcome officially to your seat at The Brave Table. I'm SO glad you are here! This is your destination, and I feel like it's going to be a magical journey together, my friend, so again, thank you SO much for tuning in! This has been brewing for a while! In this very first episode, I take you on a journey into my own life, about why I started this podcast and how The Brave Table came to be. We will explore topics like why it's SO vital to practice radical self-acceptance, because there have been many, many days where I haven't, and to give yourself permission to reinvent yourself. I also dive into my own personal struggles with motherhood since having baby #2 earlier this year and the identity shifts that accompany it, which sometimes may feel like you're on the journey alone. Not to mention, some of the things about being a parent that NO ONE tells you. Finally, we'll take a closer look at how to be brave in prioritizing relationships, your children, and most importantly, for yourself, as we reflect on how we understand and define our worth in this world. Some things to consider as you're listening: how can we close doors to the things that no longer bring us joy, surrender to the unknown, and open ourselves to new opportunities that make us come alive? Some of the juicy nuggets you'll experience in this episode: - Practice radical self-acceptance of your identity in the phase of your life that you're in - The personal struggles and identity shifts that no one tells you about in motherhood - Overachieving vs underachieving in understanding the depths of your worth. What is your worth defined by? - How to reparent yourself - Allowing for reinvention, entering a new phase of life with non-judgement - What does it mean when you cannot do “it” anymore? - Who do you want to show up for your relationships, your children, and yourself? - How to let go and close doors on certain things that may not be as joyful so you can open doors to new possibilities, even though it may be uncertain - Prioritizing opportunities and your time in a season of life that makes you come ALIVE I hope you loved this conversation, and I would ABSOLUTELY love for you to leave a review so you can help others find The Brave Table. Fam, you've been saying how you've been feeling run down from the past two years and I HEAR YOU. But I also want to name all the beauty in what we've learned about the world and ourselves during this time. This type of change can be scary, but it also invites in so much abundance and opportunity for self-development. I was on a call with some power entrepreneurs recently and was loving all the vulnerability I was feeling from those around me. We often show up at these events as bosses ready to share all these badass things about ourselves and keep things surface level. But people we're cracking themselves open about how massive unprecedented growth (which, yay!) had them so focused on others that they were abandoning themselves (not so yay). It got me thinking about how we can move through life with a softness and an openness to all possibilities and keep moving forward despite the unknowns during these unpredictable times. How can you make sure that you stay on track, stay focused on the present moment, and not get too tripped up by what's happening around you? I'm going to share with you my go-to ritual that I've been using for the past 8 years to keep calling in my desires with ease and grace and how you can use it, too, by setting intentions in the 6 main categories of your life. This burnout-free blueprint is your tool to harness your soul purpose and grow into the person you are becoming. Loves, if you've been feeling stuck in your manifesting and needing a reset, this is THE episode for you! Let's keep working towards our goals WITHOUT getting completely run down and overwhelmed - there is a way! Some of the juicy nuggets you'll experience in this episode: - Setting intentions in the 6 main categories of your life and creating daily rituals and practices to attune to the new level that you're operating at - Re-evaluating what we prioritize in our lives, the relationships we keep, and how we navigate the world - How to create more space, creativity, and freedom for your desires - How to DO less and PLAY more and harness the inspiration you need to take on your next project - Cutting out the clutter and prioritizing deeper relationships over metrics and analytics. - Meeting your edge through mental health challenges and taking ownership of your own mental health and sanity - Digging deeper into your greatest gifts, your soul purpose, and being authentic about what you are sharing with the world - How much will you continue living in fear vs how much will you pivot and shift? Thank you for being here, loves! I hope you enjoyed this episode, and if you did, I would be SO grateful if you could rate the show and leave a review so you can help others find The Brave Table! Hey Brave Table squad, I have a question for you: what does it really mean to be brave? For this episode, I'm going all-in on what I think it means and why I decided to start a podcast about the topic. Being locked down during the pandemic created opportunities to get cozy with my quaranteam and have amazing discussions about the human experience. Around the world, people were finding new ways to connect, and it was incredible to see - but I started wondering why people weren't going deeper with each other in their conversations? We collectively entered a new season of life, so why weren't we diving into the nitty-gritty about the emotional intelligence, self-development, and straight-up BRAVERY required to face it? Asking what it means to be brave is going to be a throughline in all my conversations, and it's because, in this day and age, I believe that we gotta start to get real curious, question our beliefs, open ourselves up to new ideas and perspectives and be willing to change our minds. To me, THAT is bravery. I'm going to invite you to examine where might you still be playing small in your life, and where you are still holding back. How can you stop dimming your light so you can bring your whole self to the table? As you listen, I would love for you to contemplate what being brave means to you and how you can start embodying your brave heart in your every day and let go of things that are causing a prison in your life. Some of the juicy nuggets you'll experience in this episode: - My bravest moments to date and why I feel it's crucial to share our human stories - How to harness the power of being brave to show up as your authentic self as you approach new and unfamiliar stages of life - Navigating and understanding what it means to be human during challenging times - Making peace with letting go of the old way of doing things and opening ourselves up to different ways of being - Honestly and courageously stepping into fear, even when you don't have all the answers - How to prepare ourselves for a new frontier, learn more about ourselves, and welcome conversations with people who might not share our same perspective - without judgement - Standing up against those who want to silence you, share your truth, and be unapologetically you Thanks Brave Table squad for tuning in! Jennifer Fernjack is an inspiration and brain tumor survivor who joins the show to share her story on the process of getting diagnosed, waiting, getting treatment, and how God has seen her through these challenging times. Stay tuned to learn how you can use emotional grit to strengthen yourself in everyday life too! Introduction to Jennifer Fernjack (1:15) Jennifer is from northern Minnesota, raised with a mindset of rather than complaining about things, to just get through it. For over 25 years she has been in the financial business industry where she originally started out working in branch offices, but now travels to many offices teaching employees new and important skills. Medical Diagnosis (3:45) In the spring of 2016, Jennifer was diagnosed with a brain tumor. After receiving the results, Jennifer wondered if she would go blind, if she would ever get married again, and even if she would eventually die. As Jennifer realized this situation would have to be faced, she decided to make the most of it by writing a list on the positives of having a brain tumor. By creating a positive list, she knew it would naturally release feel good chemicals in the brain to help get through this difficult time. Processing Emotions (7:20) Processing worry and all the treatments coming up was a journey for Jennifer especially when she had a diagnosis in May, but wouldn’t have surgery until August. Sometimes she would lay in bed consumed by a sea of doubt, but in those times she was intentional to switch her mindset into seeing the blessings through it all. Count Your Blessings (9:20) Jennifer shares on the importance of having healthcare. Having access to technology and healthcare in the United States is such a blessing! In the Waiting (10:30) Sometimes the waiting is the hardest part of a diagnosis. The Medical Journey (10:45) Carrie asks Jennifer to elaborate on her process in the waiting, during, and after recovery. Reframing (12:35) Reframing is a psychological word meaning it’s not always the stimulus that determines a reaction but rather how you perceive a certain situation will make the biggest difference. Choosing Gratitude (14:30) The night before surgery, Jennifer and her family had a big conversation on logistics of burial, will, and wishes if she were to not make it through this surgery. That night she took a shower and decided to listen to upbeat music because it helped produce the "feel good" chemicals in her body. Music was something that helped her before and during the recovery of surgery. The Surgery (16:30) Jennifer’s surgery took about 6 hours and the brain tumor they found was about the size of a golf ball. After surgery, she would need to do radiation treatment for about 5 to 6 weeks. Radiation Treatment (17:45) During one of Jennifer’s radiation treatments, she decided to listen to Rapper’s Delight song. The person working radiation treatment made a funny joke before they turned on the music quoting “today we have a little radiation for the ladies” and this brought a new joy and laughter to Jennifer in that time. Random Acts of Kindness (19:25) To encourage and help someone as they are going through challenging times can bring fulfillment in so many ways. Random acts of kindness is one way to help distract people from difficult seasons and to help switch a worrying perspective into a grateful one instead. New Perspective (20:20) Instead of worrying about what could of happened to Jennifer through this trial, her family decided to be grateful for the surgery and how far she had come. Perspective is the key! A Changed Life (21:00) Jennifer shares how she has become a better person because of this brain tumor experience. She is more grateful for the simple things, looks at everyday as a gift, thinks relationships are of most importance, and realizes the best things in life are free. Stitched Together (22:45) God will take the broken pieces of our lives and help stitch them back together. The Power in Positivity (24:15) Even though we can't control the quantity of our lives, we can still control the quality of our lives. Not only does a positive attitude impact the person choosing to be positive, but it also impacts people all around. Be Encouraged (25:00) No matter who you are, what your life is, and what your circumstances are, remember that the best things in life are free. CONNECT with Carrie Robaina by clicking here. This week, we’re joined by Dr. Neeta Bhushan, a social entrepreneur, best-selling author, international speaker, leadership coach and the advocate of emotional health.Neeta is a former cosmetic dentist. Facing adversity and tragedy throughout her teenage years pushed her into a position of having to fight for herself and her family. After major successes in her education and early career, Neeta quickly found herself in the position of owning a million-dollar practice. However, after years of giving everything she had to create the perfect life, she became emotionally drained and burnt out, stuck in a job she didn’t find fulfilling and in an abusive, poisonous relationship.Neeta sold her practice and went on a journey to find herself. She has traveled the world, visiting 45 countries across 15 years, all the while getting immersed in the field of behavioral psychology. Her intent was to better understand her own personal journey of fighting off adversity and gain insight into the mechanisms which helped her establish herself as a strong, resilient human being. On her journey, she met her partner and soulmate Ajit Nawalkha, who has also appeared as a guest on our show. She had consolidated her collective life experiences and knowledge into a book titled “Emotional GRIT”. In this book, Neeta explores different causes of frustration and burnout, potential solutions for these problems, as well as the notion of emotional resilience and instructions on how to obtain and strengthen it. From burnout to inner peace, from emotional numbness to mindfulness, Neeta’s story of serving love is an inspiration to us all.Connect with Neeta:LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/drneetabhushan/Website: https://www.neetabhushan.comTwitter: https://twitter.com/NeetaBhushanInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/neetabhushan/Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/neetabhushan1111Neeta’s Story of Rising Through Tragedy and AdversityNeeta was raised in a loving and nurturing family, but sadly, she had grown up in dealing with losing them. When she was 16 she lost her mother. At 17 she lost her brother, and at 19 her father passed away, leaving her with immense tragedy and the responsibility of raising and providing for a younger brother. She quickly transitioned from the role of a child to the role of a parent, investing all her energy into her education and career development.Getting a doctorate and building a million-dollar practice was easy, in her own words, but there was more to the life that from the outside looked picture perfect. On the inside, Neeta was struggling. Putting up a strong face for her brother and the rest of her family was a mere mask for hiding the emotional numbness she felt, as a result of being in a toxic relationship and working at a job she didn’t find fulfilling.“From the outside, everything looked picture-perfect, but from the inside, I was spiritually dead, emotionally dead, and just burnt out.” - Dr. Neeta BhushanShe ended up selling her practice, leaving her abusive husband and embarked on a self-searching journey. Traveling all over the world she had discovered a new purpose. Neeta started exploring the world of human behavior and used her very own experiences with adversity to develop a system for transformation and strengthening your resilience. After taking care of herself, she found new fulfillment in helping others and serving love.“In order to serve others, you need to serve yourself first.” - Dr. Neeta BhushanWhat is GRIT?“Grit is really the tenacity to stick with something, even when it is challenging, even when it is tough.” - Dr. Neeta BhushanNeeta’s teachings are based on the concepts of awareness, compassion, empathy, and happiness. She is aiming to help others build their emotional intelligence and strengthen their own resilience muscle for dealing with adversity, tragedy, and loss. She uses GRIT as an acronym which represents the transformation process and contains 4 major stages:Growth - understanding the importance of your own awareness and your ability to self-reflectRevelation - making peace with your past mistakes, and accept the fears & past stories that have held you back to cultivate self-beliefInnovation - making the commitment to embrace change and challenge your thinking from a different perspective and be open to opportunitiesTransformation - taking the right steps and full action to design the new leadership of your life.It is through these 4 stages that we achieve self-improvement. They do not happen overnight, and they are not a one-time occurrence. It is a pattern of self-acceptance and empowerment which continuously repeats itself on our way to self-actualization and becoming more fulfilled.“It’s cyclical. You never stop growing, you never stop within the cycle, you never stop within the seasons of life.” - Dr. Neeta BhushanBut before you’re able to get involved with the process of transformation, there is a single condition you need to satisfy and that is to be open to change. In order to truly make meaningful modifications in our behavior, we need to be willing, ready and inviting in terms of changing. “If you are building your EQ or your self-awareness, the first part is to be open for growth.” - Dr. Neeta BhushanKeep It Lighthearted“When things get tough in life when stressors come up, when challenges come up, when adversity rises if we take ourselves way too seriously, we’re just going to burst.” - Dr. Neeta BhushanHaving experienced great amounts of stress caused by either tragedy, adversity or overworking herself, Neeta emphasizes the necessity of having a cheerful, lighthearted approach to life. When things get tough, especially in the corporate sense, we need to be able to know when to take a step back, get out of our heads and realize that not everything is as serious as it seems. Or at least it doesn’t have to be. Whether you’re stressing out about a meeting or giving an important lecture in front of a large crowd, it’s important to take things as they go and not to give in to our fears and let them take over us.The problem is that money has been a huge part of our culture in terms of values. But aside from its practical use, money can’t be a substitute for the things we truly need and yearn for in life. Love, happiness, fulfillment, finding your true purpose… You simply can’t put a price tag on some things in life. “The success parameter has always been around how much do you make, and nobody really talks about the success being - happiness.” - Dr. Neeta BhushanFear as a Key Obstacle“You are your biggest block. So if you are your biggest block always, in starting new things, and doing new things, in getting things done, then you will have to surrender to whatever that fear is in order to be open to growing.” - Dr. Neeta BhushanFear is an essential emotional aspect of life. During our formative years, it has a very useful function in teaching us to avoid certain obvious threats we may face. The problem is as we grow older and become more socialized, the list of things we define as threats becomes longer and longer. Some fears are caused by specific social situations, but more often than not, fear comes from imagining what might go wrong. Not completing a certain task, not achieving your goal, not being accepted by others… Those anxious thoughts are created within ourselves by ourselves, and we need to recognize and face them. In her book, Neeta also points out ways to detect these fear patterns and calls us to act in spite of them in search for acceptance.“When you’re actually open to those fears, and you take action anyway, then you’re able to accept your current reality.” - Dr. Neeta BhushanTransformation and Serving LoveThemes of transformation and serving love keep reappearing throughout the conversation. Through her own personal experience, Neeta has come to a realization that the true way of achieving happiness is through love and caring for others. She continues to help others by guiding them through the process of recognizing their own true values, accepting their true selves, strengthening their resilience and opening themselves to change.“There are aspects of yourself that are willing to be birthed right now. And what does that transformation look like for you?” - Dr. Neeta Bhushan See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.
