Drag Me to Hell is a 2009 American supernatural horror film directed and co-written by Sam Raimi with Ivan Raimi, starring Alison Lohman, Justin Long, Lorna Raver, Dileep Rao, David Paymer, and Adriana Barraza. O animal muito debilitado e cheio de óleo foi encontrado na praia de Provetá, o pescador o levou para casa, deu banho, comida e muito amor e carinho. Mas, isso foi só o começo de uma amizade inusitada: o pinguim ganhou o nome de Dindim, e assim como todo amor incondicional que tem laços fortes, sobreviveu à liberdade e à distância.Seguindo a premissa de que o bom filho à casa torna, Dindim, nas suas viagens de inverno - já que os pinguins migram durante essa época do ano do extremo sul da América do Sul para o Brasil em busca de águas menos gélidas - retornou durante oito anos seguidos para visitar o amigo em Angra dos Reis.A amizade viralizou e chamou a atenção de produtores norte-americanos, que contrataram o brasileiro David Schurmann para dirigir o filme. No filme falamos sobre preservar os animais, preservar o mar e não destruir o planeta. Nós temos muitos objetivos com esse filme e como humanos temos muitos objetivos, e queremos viver juntos, essa é a ideia", contou o ator francês.Os pinguinsPara fazer o papel de Dindim vários pinguins de verdade se revezaram, mas alguns robôs e a tecnologia também entraram em cena."A gente usou todas as técnicas, a gente se resguardou. Quando eu encontrei o Fabian Gabelli, que foi o treinador de pinguins, um cara que se comunica com pinguins, ele me disse: o pinguim faz tudo. Eu não sei se acreditei imediatamente. A gente sempre sabe: 'não faça filme com crianças, animais e na água', que são os três perigos maiores. E a gente tinha os três nesse filme. Então eu falei, vamos garantir também ter animatronics, robôs, pinguins digitais para o que não for possível fazer com robôs, e foi isso que aconteceu", detalha."Mas a gente conseguiu utilizar em 80% do tempo pinguins reais e foi incrível. Por mais que tenha sido um desafio, foi absolutamente lindo filmar com pinguins reais porque eles são muito inteligentes. Para a nossa sorte, em Ubatuba, tem o Instituto Argonauta para Conservação Costeira e Marinha e o aquário que resgatam pinguins que vem parar na costa brasileira, nessa época do ano. Eles resgatam, alimentam esses pinguins e os devolvem para o mar. Há alguns pinguins que eles não conseguem devolver, que os que têm problemas na asa, por exemplo, e foram esses pinguins que a gente acabou usando no filme", conta Schurmann.Algumas cidades brasileiras já tiveram pré-estreias e outras acontecerão nas próximas semanas. Mas, "Meu Amigo Pinguim" chega oficialmente aos cinemas do país em 12 de setembro com muito da história do Seu João, mas também liberdade cinematográfica."Esta é uma história baseada em fatos. Como toda ficção baseada em fatos, a gente toma uma liberdade artística. O Seu João, por exemplo, tem uma história com o filho dele que é diferente um pouco da nossa, a gente comprimiu o tempo, a gente toma essas liberdades. Mas eu acredito que está muito fiel dentro da história, principalmente da amizade do Seu João e do Dindim. Se você procura na internet, você vai ver os vídeos de verdade e se assiste ao filme, a proximidade é muito grande das duas histórias", finaliza o diretor.

El director Ernesto Contreras es actualmente uno de los cineastas más visionarios del país, pues su nombre ya ha sido reconocido en festivales como Cannes, Sundance y San Sebastián, además de ser una de las figuras más importantes de la actualidad en los premios de la Academia Mexicana de Artes y Ciencias Cinematográficas. Su primera película, Párpados Azules, causó conmoción a nivel internacional. I had the pleasure of chatting with Gloria recently. Fun conversation and I miss seeing her. AND --- Gloria's background is amazing. She was born and raised in the Bronx and attended St. Nicholas Elementary School , and started her acting career by playing the Angel in her kindergarten school play, followed by a new play every year. In High School, she participated in school plays and choir performances, as well as being active in the drama, music, and ecology clubs. Gloria received her B.F.A. in Acting from Long Island University where she graduated Summa Cum Laude. In college, Gloria's portrayal of Ariel in “The Tempest” earned her an Irene Ryan Nomination where she placed as the 1st National Alternate. After college, Gloria embarked on a national tour (“Great Scientists Throughout the Ages” by the National Theatre for the Performing Arts), and two regional tours “Halfway There” with the Periwinkle National Theatre Company, and various plays in repertoire with the George Street Playhouse Touring Company. Afterwards she settled back to NYC where she worked consistently in theatre doing both plays and musical theatre throughout the NY and NJ area, while constantly in acting and dance classes. In NYC, Gloria landed the role of “J” in NYC's Off-Off-Broadway hit “Mono” (Critic's Pick of the week by Time Out NY, Paper Magazine, and NY Magazine in 2004). In 2004, while still living in NYC, Gloria was cast in “Two Sisters and a Piano” by Nilo Cruz at the Old Globe Theatre in San Diego, CA. Having had great success in NYC, she relocated to California and immediately got an audition for Jim Carrey's “Fun With Dick and Jane”. Gloria landed the role of “Blanca”, Mr. Carrey's nanny. She then guest starred in NYPD Blue. Gloria continued acting in studio films including “Mother and Child”, starring Annette Bening, Jimmy Smitts, Kerry Washington, Naomi Watts, and Samuel L. Jackson, “Henry Poole Is Here”, directed by Mark Pellington and starring Luke Wilson, George Lopez, Cheryl Hines, and Adriana Barraza and “Fixing Paco,” which was- nominated for an IMAGEN Award for Best Webseries in 2013 and 2014and Gloria played the lead! Gloria is an acting coach and has private and group classes. Minute Forty-Three: From One Gentle Touch to Two Excited Townies Joining us on the show to discuss Thor's appetite, mug smashing, and excitable townies is Austin Tichenor, creator of The Shakespeareance, co-artistic director of The Reduced Shakespeare Company and producer & host of the Reduced Shakespeare Company Podcast. In the forty-third mug-smashing minute of Kenneth Branagh's 2011 film Thor... Loki's moment with Odin after Odin collapses is incredibly touching. He clearly loves his father and is shocked by his collapse, despite being left in the middle of this fight. It's also at least a bit of a relief to see that Odin is breathing, so we know he's alive. But what did the guards hear? As we find out, they were in earshot just on the other side of the doors. Do they tell their partners all about what they heard at work each evening? Write notorious memoirs down the road? Too bad there wasn't a chance for some mug smashing in this scene. We return to Midgard for Isabela's Diner and some mug smashing. Our tour of Puente Antiguo gives us a bit more insight into this corner of the town. But still, over 2000 people live here? Hrm... There's something magical about small town diners, but they can be gambles. The fish out of water comedy is great in this scene with Thor's dopey alien in America bit. Kat Dennings' lines about Pop Tarts and Thor's eating is great. So are the cuts showing Thor eat. It's ridiculous and absurd and so perfect because of it. Branagh handles comedy well even though he doesn't do comedy that often. Much Ado About Nothing and Dead Again both have great comedic bits. Again, we have more to complain about with Thor's wig and eyebrows. Jane, Darcy, and Erik feel like the Midgard versions of the Warriors Three. Erik is a great character to help ground Thor's mythology and history in Nordic cultures. The mug smashing moment. Seriously. One of the greatest moments in the MCU? It has to be. They even repeated the mug smashing in the Loki tv show. The mug smashing feels like a great celebratory joy for how great the coffee was but it scares off a customer and forces Isabela and Melinda her employee to clean up the mess. Thor's royal mindset is so funny here, but his sincerity with Jane afterward and promise to not smash any more is full of honesty. We dig into the traditions of smashing dishes. And Isabela shows up so we get to play the IMDb game with Adriana Barraza. But why was she given so little to do here? There's a truck that drives by. It's Stan the Man's truck with no bed! Pete and Jake enter and start talking with Izzy about the day they just had at the crater. The local rustics is very much Shakespearean. Pete and Jake fit very much in that model. Adriana Barraza Golden Globe and Academy Award nominee Adriana Barraza is considered one of the most accomplished and respected Latina film and television actresses in the entertainment industry. The pace of the film is often deliberate and slow--starting with the opening scene. Stick with it as the performances are worth it and the stakes get higher and more exciting as the film progresses. Affleck proves himself to be a triple threat--as ever his performance elevates any film and his writing and directorial chops though young are impressive and promising. In Rambo: Last Blood, John Rambo (Stallone) has seemingly embraced domestic life on a ranch in Arizona with a teenage girl, Gabrielle (Yvette Monreal) and her grandmother (Adriana Barraza) with whom he has developed a familial bond. When Gabrielle goes missing in Mexico, Rambo, aided by investigative reporter Carmen (Paz Vega), must use all his combat skills to punish the cartel members who kidnapped Gabrielle. Like the last installment of Rambo in 2008, this films ups the gore factor putting this franchise almost in the horror genre. The production level has also been upped to a high level under director Adrian Grunberg (Get the Gringo, Apocalypto). Stallone co-wrote the script and story with writers Matthew Cirulnick, Dan Gordon based on characters created by David Morrell. Think Logan not 80s Rambo.
