There's plenty of stuff in the new Gloomspite Gitz Battletome...Gitz (and Squigs), Trolls, Spiders, and something new...lots of wolves! There are so many moving parts here and so many combinations of units that the book can seem a bit overwhelming. While we found the Armies of Renown to be watered down versions of the rest of the book, the new Gitmob Regiment of Renown has lots of potential. We're playing two not very classics of their respective genres today as we go back to the back half of the 90s to play an early action game and a relatively early 3D platformer. We're kind of split on which game we prefer along lines I expect you'd predict, but we both had a pretty good time with both games anyway! Also, before that, Jackson gives the MOTHER of all segment 1 updates. At 16:15 or so until 1:15:30 Jackson's Audacity file broke and we had to use the backup. Für Kai wird 1998 wohl für immer eines seiner liebsten Spielejahre sein. Denn in dem Jahr erschienen neben vielen Klassikern auch viele Spiele, die er einfach liebgewonnen hat. Croc - Legend of the Gobbos zum Beispiel, dessen Titellied immer ertönt, wenn bei ihm das Handy klingelt. Oder Fighting Force, ein Prügler, der viel zu kurz ist, aber damals eben genau seinen Nerv getroffen hat. Es erschienen aber eben auch Klassiker wie Resident Evil 2 und davon wollten Fans ein Remake machen, wollten es Resident Evil 2 Reborn nennen und wollten auch den Segen von Capcom haben. Die fanden das Anfangs alles wirklich cool, aber Moment mal...mit einem Remake könnten sie doch selber Geld verdienen und es zudem wohl auch besser machen. Gesagt getan und so wurde aus dem Fanprojekt Resident Evil 2 Reborn am Ende schließlich Daymare 1998. Ein Resident Evil ohne Lizenz sozusagen. Aber trotz allem mit Spielspaß? Das klärt der Test... ...viel Spaß beim Hören.

Wahrscheinlich aus persönlicher Nostalgie heraus macht es dieses Jahr für uns zu etwas besonderem. Was war das eigentlich für ein Jahr? Die PlayStation war noch jung, das N64 launchte außerhalb Japans, und wie stand es eigentlich um den PC?
