Day 8 St. Alphonsus you have said:St.-Alphonsus-8 "Loving souls can find no greater delight than to be in the company of those whom they love. If we, then, love Jesus Christ much, behold we are now in his presence. Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament sees us and hears us; shall we, then, say nothing to Him? Let us console ourselves in His company; let us rejoice in His glory, and in the love which so many enamoured souls bear Him in the Most Holy Sacrament. Let us desire that all should love Jesus in the Holy Sacrament, and consecrate their hearts to Him; at least let us consecrate our affections to Him. He should be all our love and our whole desire." Is it possible to end homelessness for veterans in your community? Megan Sievers is on a mission to make that vision a reality. In this episode of our series, Loving Your Neighbor as Yourself, Shay Roush sits down with Megan Sievers, Executive Director of Welcome Home, a Columbia, Missouri-based nonprofit dedicated to serving homeless veterans. You may not realize that many who have given of themselves to serve our country face challenges that go unnoticed and deserve our attention. This conversation highlights how Welcome Home embodies this mission by supporting veterans in need. Welcome Home began when Vietnam veterans, heartbroken by seeing their comrades die homeless, established a shelter in 1992 to provide a lifeline for veterans. Since then, this organization has evolved from offering basic shelter to comprehensive services like emergency housing, case management, and homelessness prevention, all rooted in a commitment to honor veterans' sacrifices. Megan shares powerful stories of transformed lives as Welcome Home addresses the complex issues veterans face, including PTSD, substance abuse, and isolation. Loving others well means bringing dignity and hope to those who have given the ultimate sacrifice, because those who have served our country deserve our love and support in return. In this episode, Robert and Emily Perry dive into the content and the backstory of “The Journey Into Fear”—a newly restored Text section in the Complete and Annotated Edition of A Course in Miracles. The message of this section is as radical as it is liberating – to uncover the love in us, we must first face the hate in us – but it's also uncomfortable. So uncomfortable, in fact, it was removed from the original publication of the Course. Why would A Course in Miracles ask us to look at something so uncomfortable? And what happens when we do? We hope you'll join Robert and Emily for this deep, honest, and ultimately hopeful conversation. You will learn: Why we believe this material was removed – and why it was restored. The cost of keeping your hate buried. How facing our hate frees the love within us. ___________________________ Since 1993, our purpose has been to help with both the theory and practical application of A Course in Miracles. Only with the powerful role of God’s kindness in leading us—and our children—to repentance. Grounded in Romans 2:4, this episode offers encouragement and perspective for parents feeling overwhelmed and unsure of how to guide their children well. Prayer Father, thank you for your great kindness. Thank you, Lord, for bringing us to repentance because of it. I pray today, Lord, that you would help us to show that same kindness to our children, help us to fight for them, Lord, and may they know that there is nothing they could ever do that would make us not love them. James Craig's Double Life: How a “Loving Husband” Became a Suspected Killer Description: He was a dentist. A father of six. A man of faith. But prosecutors say James Craig was also a cold, calculated killer — slowly poisoning his wife with cyanide and Visine over multiple days while pretending to be the doting husband. In this episode, I sit down with psychotherapist Shavaun Scott to unpack how someone maintains such a convincing public image while allegedly planning a murder behind closed doors. We're not just talking about charm — we're talking about full-scale emotional performance. The curated identity. The public mask. And how someone weaponizes trust so effectively that even their own family doesn't see it coming. We break down how narcissistic personalities use charm and image management to build cover, how compartmentalization works in high-functioning offenders, and what signs families and communities often miss — or ignore. Phyllis and Dr. Glenn Hill sit down with Elijah Runyan, Director of Certified Coaching for Connection Codes, to dive deep into the world of neurodivergence and emotional connection. Both Elijah and Dr. Glenn share personal stories of what it's like to live with unique emotional wiring—where everyday experiences, like dishes left undone or mismatched hangers, can trigger intense pain experiences. Through candid reflections, they reveal how shame and loneliness can take hold when these experiences go unseen or misunderstood, and how learning to process pain instead of judging it opens the door to authentic connection. #183: Accountability can feel like a loaded word—especially when it comes to our relationships. All too often, we either shoulder all the blame or refuse to see our part in painful patterns. But what if accountability could be an act of self-love rather than self-punishment?In this deeply reflective episode, I explore the liberating side of taking responsibility for our relationship patterns. I share my personal journey of recognizing how I've abandoned myself to keep others comfortable, confused emotional chaos with passion, and chased unavailable people because of unhealed wounds. The most powerful insight? When someone triggers us, they're often holding up a mirror to something we haven't fully addressed within ourselves. This isn't about blaming yourself for others' harmful behaviors. No one deserves abuse or mistreatment. Rather, it's about honestly examining what you've allowed, what you've ignored, and how you might be trying to heal old wounds through your current relationships. Through this compassionate self-reflection, we gain the power to make different choices moving forward.Whether you're struggling with repeated relationship disappointments, trying to break free from toxic patterns, or simply wanting to understand yourself better, this episode offers a gentle but transformative perspective on how accountability can set you free. Remember, you're allowed to be both a work in progress and worthy of love right now. Your journey of becoming is just that—a journey, not a destination you've somehow failed to reach. You can now send us a text to ask a question or review the show. We would love to hear from you! Do you feel stressful thoughts? Do you sometimes feel gloomy or depressed? There's power in truth, but what is truth? Is the story you tell about yourself and your circumstances really ‘the truth'? It all starts with our thoughts, but how do you know that your thoughts are true? According to our guest today, best-selling author and spiritual teacher Byron Katie, the truth we tell ourselves is not always the truth. And you can get more clarity about your life and ultimately peace and joy by examining your life and asking 4 very simple questions. Tune in and learn more about The Work and Katie's book “Loving What Is.” Author and founder of The Work Foundation, Byron Katie battled depression for years before having a spontaneous awakening and experiencing a profound shift in her perception of reality. John 6:57-58 As the living Father sent Me, and I live because of the Father, so he who eats Me, he also will live because of Me. This is the bread which came down out of heaven; not as the fathers ate and died; he who eats this bread will live forever." It is obvious in Jesus' conversation with the crowd who sought Him because He had miraculously fed them that the message was that He was the true life-giving bread sent from God. In these verses, Jesus repeats the theme that began with the miracle. Jesus is the living bread sent from God. Notice Jesus emphasized the quality of life four times: the living Father, I live, the one who eats Me will live, and live forever. Would you celebrate life in Christ with me today? Look at what Jesus said. He lives because the Father lives, and the one who eats or abides in Jesus lives because He lives. Let's connect it and rejoice. We live because Jesus lives, and Jesus lives because the Father lives. Believing that Jesus was sent by the Father unites us with both the Father and the Son, which is the work of the Holy Spirit, who the Apostle Paul called, the Spirit of Life in Christ (Rom. 8:2). The Spirit of Life in Christ sets us free from the law of sin and of death. Listen to how Paul echoes Jesus' declaration that the one who eats His flesh has life forever. Romans 8:9-14. However, you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. But if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Him. If Christ is in you, though the body is dead because of sin, yet the spirit is alive because of righteousness. But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you. So then, brethren, we are under obligation, not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh—for if you are living according to the flesh, you must die; but if by the Spirit you are putting to death the deeds of the body, you will live. For all who are being led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. Let me state the highlights I want to spotlight. The spirit is alive. Give life to your mortal bodies. Not live according to the flesh. Putting to death the deeds of the fleshly body, you will live. These are the sons of God! Do you get it? The bread that the fathers ate and died was the bread of the flesh. It was earthly. Our flesh is sinful. His flesh was righteous. The bread that came down from heaven, Jesus Christ, is the bread of life, and those who eat of His flesh live forever. The sons and daughters of God live by the Spirit, out of the life of Jesus, whom God sent to not only die for us, but to live for us. To live to love with Jesus happens as we abide in Him, which is to eat of His flesh. That's living life to the fullest for the glory of God. I invite you to become a partner in our ministry. Would you pray about becoming a regular supporter of Elijah Ministries and the Live to Love with Jesus ministry? I hope you will receive the joy and benefit of "giving it forward," so others may receive encouragement to turn their hearts to God and to live to love with Jesus. When we talk about turn on, most people think of sex.But turn on is so much more than feeling sexy. It's about being fully alive.Turn on is a connection to the fullness of who you are as a woman your emotions, your desires, your power, your radiance. It's playing with all eighty-eight keys of your internal piano not just the high notes of pleasure, but the deep, rich tones of grief, anger, joy, and sensuality.Turn on is embodiment. It's presence. It's power. You can tap into it by:- Enjoying the simple pleasures of life- Tuning into your sensual and sexual energy- Loving and living in your body not judging it- Allowing physical chemistry with another to awaken your senses- Honoring the emotions you've been told are “too much” the sorrow, the rage, the acheBecause when you reclaim your turn on, you reclaim yourself. You become magnetic. You lead with energy, not just effort. You move through life from a place of wholeness and deep truth. So…What really turns you on?And are you willing to feel it?Join Our Upcoming Event Shameless Freedom Live - The Freedom Keys
The Katherine Massey Book Club @ The C.O.W.S. hosts the 5th study session on Gregg Olsen's If You Loving You Is Wrong, which investigates the scandalous, Tragic Arrangement between White Puget Sound schoolteacher Mary Kay Letourneau and her 12-year-old non-white student, Vili Fualaau. When speaking with Neely Fuller Jr. many years ago about why it's incorrect for White people to engage in sexual activity with non-white people, he cited the Letourneau case. At the time, Gus shamelessly admitted being ignorant about this incident. Fuller paused briefly before asking Gus to confirm that he was dialing from Seattle's 206 area code. Chatting all the way from Washington, D.C., Fuller knew all the tacky details of this case and how it corroborates his counter-racist code, which prohibits sexual activity between White and non-white people. Last week, we were given another stunning illustration of a fundamental component of White Supremacy/Racism Code: People classified as White do not snitch on other White people. OIsen told us that many, many members of the Letourneau clan and even other White educators and White enforcement officials were aware of the criminal conduct of Mary Kay. But they chose to do nothing. Allowed her to continue raping a non-white child - which might be another collective act of White Supremacy by the family. A similar theme is that many White people do not think Vili Fualaau was a victim. He's called a gangster, suspected of kidnapping Mary Kay, and accused of pursuing his 30-year-old teacher for a sexual relationship. #ChildRape #MommyAndDaddyFightAboutTheBrownBoy INVEST in The COWS - http://paypal.me/TheCOWS Cash App: http://cash.app/$TheCOWS
