Avoiding memory and thinking problems later in life could depend on your sleep quality…
This week Bobbi Conner talks with Dr. Amy Hebbard about certain medications that may cause symptoms of memory problems, especially in older adults.
Avoiding memory and thinking problems later in life could depend on your sleep quality in middle age. That's what researchers with the American Academy of Neurology learned recently after studying...
President Trump's attorneys grill Nathan Wade about his secret text messages with Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis. Joe Biden says he's running to "finish the job in 2020." Um, come again? And Kamala's plans for South America are working smoothly - countries are getting safer as violent criminals flood across America's southern border.
In hour 1 of The Annie Frey Show, Annie and Brad discuss how the President's memory issues are bigger than just the 2024 Election. Later, Annie is joined by MO Attorney General, Andrew Bailey to talk about Missouri's efforts to secure the border as well as parent's rights. They wrap up the hour with Wiggins America.
We open today's show with more fallout from the Robert Hur Special Counsel Report on the Elderly Man with Memory Problems and how even CNN had to work overtime to debunk Joe Biden's lies when he tried to defend himself. Whether we like it or not, Biden has embarrassed himself, his presidency the Legacy/mainstream media and America. We hear from those who are in vehement support of the President, like Ian Sams and Mitch Landrieu, saying he has the mental acuity and vigor of men half their age! We also hear from the Legacy/mainstream media fact-checking all those lies and distortions. It's a spark that isn't going to burn itself out. In my mind, this is the Marsellus Wallace moment from Pulp Fiction, when he was talking to Bruce Willis about taking a dive. Biden was told to bow out, but he's refusing. So, the Hur report was the first warning shot to Biden to step out before it gets worse. But there is more to the Hur report than just the warning shot. In Appendix A of the document, there is a listing of the confidential documents retrieved form Joe's insecure locations. While we don't have the content (duh, they are classified) we do have the titles and dates, which is enough to bring even more clarity to the Biden Crime Family Syndicate. I'm sure it is just sheer coincidence that many of the files relate to Ukraine and their energy sector at the exact same time Hunter Biden is working on behalf of the board of Burisma. Imagine that! How ironic. Next I shift the Senate Foreign Aid Bill, formerly the Senate Border Security Bill. While many were focused on the Super Bowl, they passed it with 67 votes, which included 18 Republicans. Now, it goes to the House. You MUST contact your congressperson today and tell them to note pass that bill at all. At the very least they need to take out the language that sets a trap for Donald Trump if he were to become the next president. The time bomb built into the bill says the US will continue to fund Ukraine in perpetuity. So, if Trump manages to negotiate and end to the fighting and then pull back on funds which would not longer be necessary, it would setup a the next likely impeachment for breaking the law. Joe Biden ruined part of the Super Bowl blaming the private sector for shrinkflation. While I am not happy that we are paying more for less, I also know it is the fault of Bidenomics! Even Senator John Kennedy pressed Secretary of the Treasury Janet Yellen about the cost of goods. She said the cost doesn't need to come down because people are making more today. What an abject lie that we told you about last week when we broke down the jobs report. We close the show today with back-to-back segments! First, we get a Big Fani Willis Reality TV Show update. Seems people are coming out of the woodwork to testify about all her illegal moves and perjury. She is also being sued for not producing all of the documents a defense team requested, which is in defiance of Georgia law. Then we get to a Deep Thoughts by VP Kamala Harris segment. She never fails to disappoint, especially when, like Joe, she goes on autopilot with verbiage she has committed to memory. It doesn't matter how many times she's mocked for it's silliness, she loves it too much to stop using it. Take a moment to rate and review the show and then share the episode on social media. This episode begins with the numbers, and the description of a category of defendants who have recently been charged, after a long wait. These are defendants whose cases center in the "heave-ho" attack in the Lower West Terrace Tunnel, who it appears are being charged with felony counts of acts of violence on restricted grounds during civil disorder, rather than Assault on a Federal Officer. We then move on to some recent news, including what may be the most significant January 6th case to date, the arrest of Bannon's billionaire financer and CPAC sponsor, Trump's premature claim that he was to have been arrested this week in the hush money case, and the ruling by Chief Judge Howell of the DCD that Trump attorney Evan Corcoran must hand over documents and testify in the stolen classified documents case, overcoming attorney-client privilege based on the crime-fraud exception. The remainder of the episode consists of a close reading of the transcript of the seven-hour testimony of Jared Kushner, with an examination of his role in the "Big Rip-Off" detailed in Appendix 3 of the Final Report of the House Select Committee to Investigate the January 6th Attack. https://www.justice.gov/usao-dc/pr/indiana-couple-arrested-actions-lower-west-terrace-during-jan-6-capitol-breach https://www.justice.gov/usao-dc/press-release/file/1574611/download https://www.justice.gov/usao-sdny/pr/ho-wan-kwok-aka-miles-guo-arrested-orchestrating-over-1-billion-dollar-fraud-conspiracy https://www.motherjones.com/politics/2022/06/guo-wengui-lin-wood-steve-bannon-million-maga-march/ https://www.cnn.com/2023/03/18/politics/donald-trump-manhattan-da-arrest-protests/index.html https://abcnews.go.com/US/sources-special-counsel-claims-trump-deliberately-misled-attorneys/story?id=98024191 https://news.yahoo.com/court-makes-extraordinary-night-demands-040839431.html https://www.cnn.com/2023/02/24/politics/trump-classified-documents-maralago-eluded-fbi/index.html https://www.govinfo.gov/app/details/GPO-J6-TRANSCRIPT-CTRL0000060760/

Abstract: Memory problems are common among older adults with a history of alcohol use disorder (AUD). Employing a machine learning framework, the current study investigates the use of multi-domain features to classify individuals with and without alcohol-induced memory problems. A group of 94 individuals (ages 50-81 years) with alcohol-induced memory problems (Memory group) were compared with a matched Control group who did not have memory problems. The Random Forests model identified specific features from each domain that contributed to the classification of Memory vs. Control group (AUC=88.29%). Specifically, individuals from the Memory group manifested a predominant pattern of hyperconnectivity across the default mode network regions except some connections involving anterior cingulate cortex which were predominantly hypoconnected. Other significant contributing features were (i) polygenic risk scores for AUD, (ii) alcohol consumption and related health consequences during the past 5 years, such as health problems, past negative experiences, withdrawal symptoms, and the largest number of drinks in a day during the past 12 months, and (iii) elevated neuroticism and increased harm avoidance, and fewer positive "uplift" life events. At the neural systems level, hyperconnectivity across the default mode network regions, including the connections across the hippocampal hub regions, in individuals with memory problems may indicate dysregulation in neural information processing. Overall, the study outlines the importance of utilizing multidomain features, consisting of resting-state brain connectivity collected ~18 years ago, together with personality, life experiences, polygenic risk, and alcohol consumption and related consequences, to predict alcohol-related memory problems that arise in later life. California-based startup Air Protein developed an alt meat called Air Meat, which is made using microbes that turn recycled carbon dioxide (CO2) into protein. In this episode of the Xtalks Food Podcast, Sydney talks about how “the meat of tomorrow” was designed to replicate the flavor and texture of real meat products like chicken, pork, steak and seafood. She discusses how far the alt meat sector has come in the last decade and asks the team whether this is the pinnacle of innovation. While Vera posits that the sector has reached its peak, Ayesha thinks it is just getting started and Sydney agrees with both stances. Also, in this episode, Sydney introduces the team to Jelly Drops, a UK-based brand designed to boost hydration among those who struggle to consume enough water. Made with 95 percent water, a grip-friendly shape and a variety of flavors, Jelly Drops have become popular among people with Alzheimer's, seniors and others who struggle to stay hydrated. The bite-sized, teardrop-shaped candies are sugar free, low-calorie, gluten-free, vegan and non-laxative. The team brings further attention to the fact that people with memory issues often forget to consume enough water and applauds the brand's founder for catering to an unmet market.Read the full articles here:Air Protein: The Alt Meat Startup Making Plant-Based Protein Out of Thin AirHow Jelly Drops Help Boost Hydration Among People with Dementia and Cognitive ChallengesFor more food and beverage industry content, visit the Xtalks Vitals homepage.Follow Us on Social Media Twitter: @XtalksFood Instagram: @Xtalks Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/Xtalks.Webinars/ LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/company/xtalks-webconferences YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/c/XtalksWebinars/featured

And I will forgive their wickedness, and I will never again remember their sins. ~ Hebrews 8:12 (NLT) Have you ever experienced memory problems in your life? Like, walking into a room to get something, and then forgetting what that things was? Or, maybe you blank on someone's name, even though you've known them your whole life? Perhaps you crammed for an exam the night before, and then, when it was test time, couldn't recall anything that you studied? Maybe you've forgotten an anniversary birthday? If these sound familiar, rest assured that you're not alone. In fact, I dare say that all of us have experienced memory problems many times throughout our lifetimes. (And it's not just an “old person” thing.) Then there are the memories that we wish we could forget. Memories of past abuse. Memories of things did that we now regret. Memories of seeing things that we can't un-see. Memories of emotions and feelings that hurt us to the core. Memories of the sins we've committed in our lives against others and God. Why can't we forget those memories, rather than things that are more important? The simple answer is that we are sinful, we live in a sinful world. While we may try hard to forget, our adversary, Satan does not. In fact, the nickname Satan literally means “the accuser.” So, when we try to forget, he's right there to remind us of the things we'd rather forget. He causes guilt and shame to well up in us. It stinks. So does he. Here's the crazy thing. Our perfect, all-knowing, eternal God has memory problems too. It's weird, though, because the problems aren't really a problem. He chooses to wipe away the memory of our past sins – not just push them off to the side, but literally forget about them. Check out our verse today, “And I will forgive their wickedness, and I will never again remember their sins.” Notice that it doesn't say “I'll put the memories of their sins on the back burner.” It doesn't say “I'll forget them for now.” It literally says “never again.” When we come to God for forgiveness, He eternally wipes His memory of the sins we've committed. So, when those memories of past issues that you've talked to God about pop into your head, realize that they are not from God. He's forgotten forever. It is Satan, guilt-tripping you. When Satan does this, claim the promise from our verse today. Pray thanks to God for His forgiveness. Trust, believe, have faith that your sins are forgotten forever. #God #Jesus #Bible #Christian #Devotional #Discipleship #Forgiveness #Scripture #Grace #Faith

Health is the optimal functioning of your body. Physically, chemically, emotionally, spiritually, mentally - all those things together. Health is not just “okay I’m not sick” or “I don’t have symptoms” or “I feel good” or “I look good”. It’s more than that. It’s a higher state of wellness and being. John Maxwell, Peter Diamandis, and Tony Robbins all emphasize a mindset of abundance. Steven Covey discusses abundance extensively in "Seven Habits of Highly Effective People." However, the dictionary does not define an abundance mindset. To define and understand the abundance mindset, it is easiest to look at the alternative, scarcity. The person with a scarcity or fixed mindset believes life is a zero-sum game. If someone has more, this means someone else must have less. The abundance mindset is different. It is the belief in a life of plenty. There is more than enough to go around. Whether it is resources, wealth, health, or opportunity, there is an abundance of resources available. In the words of Tony Robbins, Success without fulfillment is the ultimate failure The Steps to Building an Abundance Mindset In our discussion, Dr. Wohlfert outlines a strategy for building the abundance mindset. If you tune into the podcast, Dr. Wohfert goes through each step in detail. Step 1 - Identify your self-talk and bring it to your awareness Step 2 - Aware - realize the self-talk is not helpful Step 3 - Interrupt - stop it from dragging down your day Key Highlights from The Art of Abundance Podcast What is health?
