Do you find it difficult to increase your prices? To charge what you're worth?  I've met countless women with money mindset issues. I myself had to change the way I think about money in order to be successful. But this week on the Sigrun Show, my guest's story goes far beyond that.  Ali Katz achieved everything she could have possibly imagined. She graduated at the top of her class from law school and worked at the best law firm in the US. She started her own law practice, then a second business, then she wrote a best-selling book and appeared on TV.  But upon joining a new mastermind, all she could do was cry. She couldn't pinpoint exactly what was wrong, but she knew that something was off, and it had to do with her motivation.  She stopped seeing the value of what she was doing. She doubted her business and herself. She constantly compared herself to others. And she was wondering: Were the people in her life only there because she was paying them money?  Ali started to indulge in fantasies, and two very different escape routes manifested in her head: One was to have $40M on her bank account and earn 5% interest per year. She believed this would make her free from any pressure she felt to make money with her businesses. The other was to walk away from everything and live on a farm.  She picked the farm.  In this episode, Ali shares how she went from having it all to bankruptcy, how she learned to feel financially liberated and you can, too, and where her path has led her today.  Ali's is a truly inspiring story and if you ever felt your relationship with money is off, you know the feeling of being at war with yourself, or just want to hear about a woman who went from one extreme to the other and bounced back again, then I'm sure you will relate to this episode.  “Money is infinitely renewable - when you know how to earn  and use it wisely .” - Ali Katz In this Episode of The Sigrun Show: Ali's journey and how she suffered from money dysmorphia  Making eyes-wide-shut decisions  Two contradicting escape fantasies  The 100M dollar man  Why Ali went bankrupt  Feeling financially liberated - now what? Today I am super excited to debut my first video interview of the Wholeness Podcast on LA Talk Radio with special guest, Celebrity Stylist Ali Levine. This woman is inspiring for so many reasons, which we get to in today’s episode. She couldn’t be on camera because she had to breastfeed - this is what having it all is about - keeping it real and showing up, as you, real-life and all. She didn’t apologize - she owned it and I loved that! This is what we women need to embrace - having it all is about being real and owning being a mom and all things, and that doesn’t mean looking like a Victoria's Secret model, who never has a bad day and has the perfect marriage and epic life. It can be hard and messy, real and honest AND beautiful, fun and liberating to be you! WHOLE and true to you.  And Ali shows up this way, which is why I was so excited to have her on today. If you don’t know Ali Levine, you’re going to want to start following her for sure! She’s a mother of two and just had a baby girl during COVID, wife, celebrity stylist, entrepreneur and more. In today’s episode, we talk about motherhood, postpartum, being an influencer, having a baby during COVID, sharing your life on social media, pursuing your dreams, trusting your gut, mindfulness, body love and cultivating your own style - even if you believe you don’t have any or don’t know where to start! What I love is she followed her passion and took a lifelong love of fashion and turned it into her life’s work, helping women find their confidence and beauty in their own style, while helping them cultivate their own creativity and vision for themselves and how they want to be perceived. And this passion has led her to places she never dreamed of.  Tune in to get the full episode here: LINK In today’s episode you’ll learn: How Ali follows her intuition and lets the universe lead in business - even though she’s a controller What motherhood has taught her about herself, biz and life How to powerfully show up and share on social media without compromising yourself, or your privacy How to cultivate your own style - she share her 4 “F’s” to live by What to do with the latest trends How to dress for your body type Lessons she learned as an entrepreneur What lesson she wished she’d know or would tell her 10 year old self And more…

Born and raised in New York, Ali credits her love for fashion to a city upbringing, and also a kinship style icon – her grandmother. This shift eventually led to a move to Hollywood, where the Ali Levine Design firm is currently headquartered. It's a harsh reality that as a man, our testosterone levels likely never were and will never be what our grandparents and great grandparents experienced just 100 years ago. Our world is changing, the stressors placed in, on and around our bodies are exponentially higher than they have ever been; from our air quality, water, and the chemicals in our food and in our skincare products. This hormonal disruption created from our environment adds yet another potentially significant factor when trying to improve health, gain muscle mass, and/or lose body fat. Of course, addressing your nutrition, sleep, training and mindset will all be the #1 most significant driver of healthy change, but what if that's not enough to correct the imbalances present? In this episode I bring back Ali Gilbert; men's health, fitness, and hormonal optimization expert to discuss the nuances of testosterone replacement therapy and how to navigate the confusing and often misunderstood realm of hormonal optimization specifically for men. In this episode we discuss: > How Ali's views and approach on testosterone replacement changed over the past couple of years and what she knows now that she didn't know back then > When and how to dose testosterone > Some of the signs that we may need to take a deeper look into our hormonal health, both obvious and not so obvious > How our level of body fat correlates to reduced health or sexual function > The best way to improve health via exercise and which type of exercise is best > Best nutrition guidelines for optimizing hormones > If someone is diagnosed with "low T" what should they take into consideration before starting TRT > At what point someone should consider TRT if they are doing "everything right" > How to choose a TRT doc > What daily objective and subjective physiological and lifestyle metrics can be and should be tracked to gauge progress If you've been considering TRT and/or just want to know more about some of the considerations when looking into testosterone replacement, then you're going to want to tune in to this episode. As always, if you love what you hear on this show, then do me a favor and subscribe, leave a positive rating and review and share this episode with a friend or loved one whom you think could benefit. My own daughter Ali.  I am excited to have her on the show and have to admit, it’s a little scary having her on here because I will be asking her some questions that I have never asked her before.  Jon and I had some dark times in our marriage and for a couple of years, all we did was fight. Luckily, we came out on the other side, so I am excited to have my daughter on the show to chat with all of you!  On Today’s Episode We Chat About: Ali’s first year of college and missing her family  How Jon and I communicated in the beginning How the negative cycles in our marriage impacted the kids when they were young The impact of the fighting on Ali’s friendships  The impact of our fighting on Ali’s eating habits  How our relationship was affected when I had to reset boundaries  How I worried about the mistakes I made and how they would affect my kids  Ali’s admission to not feeling loved when her dad and I were fighting  The difference in Ali now that Jon and I stopped fighting at all the time Why Ali wished Jon and I would have just divorced a long time ago How Jon and I thought we were hiding our fights, yet Ali says this was not the case How Ali used staying away from the house as an avoidance measure  The importance of communication in relationships, even in the beginning  The only way to survive our marriage was to reset it  How I push back on boundaries now and how different it is from the past  How we could have helped our kids during the rough years  What we could have done differently with our kids when the fighting was going on What questions I could have asked to get the kids to open up more when they were younger  What Ali felt she needed more from me when growing up  What Ali felt she needed more from Jon when growing up  Alright guys, that wraps up another episode! I hope you enjoyed this conversation with Ali.  I loved having her on the show today. I want you to make sure to tune in and listen to the podcast.  You will see how fighting in your marriage can affect your kids (even long after). One of the greatest joys in life comes with learning to listen to that inner voice inside your head that is urging you to make a move. That’s exactly what today’s guest, Ali Bonar did when she launched her business, Kween. Ali shares how she’s learned to craft a life that she loves by shutting out the noise. We discuss her struggles with a disordered relationship with food, her journey to self-love and how she came up with the idea for creating granola butter. She shares what it’s like running a business with her boyfriend and using food, a former trigger for her, as the creative element for her business.    What’s in this episode: How Ali crafts a life she loves by tuning out the noise and listening to her inner voice Becoming obsessed with eating clean  Starting her self-love journey with her Instagram account, Avokween Her idea for creating granola butter and launching her business Her experience of working with her boyfriend as cofounders Being transparent about her eating disorder and her healing journey Finding the right therapist for you The role that creativity plays in Ali’s business and using food as a creative element Giving herself permission to enjoy former triggers Slowing down in her personal life and taking time for yourself Carving out space in your day to spend time with friends and family   About Ali: Hailing from the rough streets of San Diego, Ali Bonar inevitably developed an addiction - to food. In fact, she's been eating 3x/day for as long as she can remember. Her deep-rooted passion for nutrition inspired her to study Nutritional Sciences at UC Berkeley and eventually launch @avokween, where she dove crown-first into the Kween lifestyle. Ali wholeheartedly believes that overall wellbeing is often achieved off-the-plate: nutrition is important, but human connection (and pizza with friends at 2 a.m.) are essential. Avocado is her drug of choice and people who "forget to eat" are the reason she has trust issues.   Connect with Ali: Website | Kween Instagram | Avokween Instagram   Links: You Are a Badass®: How to Stop Doubting Your Greatness and Start Living an Awesome Life   I would love to hear from you! Sales, Relationships, Automotive, Credibility, Community   Summary   Do relationships in business still matter? More than ever! We'll look at that in our Thought of the Day. And in our interview segment, we'll hear from Ali Reda, a record-breaking, amazing sales-professional who will tell you how he did it. Hint … relationships! That and more on today's show.   Bob's Thought of the Day   We'll explore:   Why I disagree with one author's premise that in selling, relationship builders are too concerned with the relationship to bring up something that is uncomfortable. The connection between a deep relationship and credibility. Why there is no natural correlation between a relationship-building salesperson and one who will challenge the client if it's in the client's best interest.   Interview with Ali Reda   You'll discover:   How Ali went from a warehouse, to automotive sales, to automotive sales superstardom. Why everyone in sales must ask themselves, “Why do customers buy from you?” The importance of believing in yourself and what is possible. Why you must focus on helping people rather than making money. Money is the result. Why Ali doesn't focus on social media, but on building relationships in his community. The power of showing up with good intentions, and being a proactive resource. Ali's process for finding the gaps of productivity in his day to become more efficient. How Ali engages with people and makes his presence felt wherever he goes.   Click to Tweet   Money is a byproduct of your success. --Ali Reda You can sell a certain amount of cars being focused on the numbers, but to get to the ultra high sales, it can't be ABOUT the numbers but about the people you are serving. -- Ali Reda Think about (focus on) the customers and the numbers will take care of themselves. --Ali Reda   Interview Links   100CarsClub.com How to Sell 100 Cars a Month by Ali Reda and Damian Boudreaux Connect with Ali on FacebookResources   The Go-Giver Influencers Facebook LIVE Show Order The Go-Giver Influencer Sell The Go-Giver Way Audio Program GoGiverSalesAcademy.com The Go-Giver Leader TheGoGiver.com GoGiverSpeaker.com Burg.com How to Post a Review

Today’s guest relationship with food used to be nuts. Her relationship with nuts used to be nuts, too. But neither of those things are nuts anymore, as Ali Bonar has learned both, how to be chill around food and how to enjoy nut butter vibes without nuts in said butter. Ali, known on the interwebs as the AVOKWEEN, is incredibly passionate about helping other ladies regain their kween-ness and feeling body positive once and for all. She’s also passionate about dripping her Granola Butter (a product she and boyfriend invented) all over smoothie bowls. But in this breaking news conversation, Ali reveals the truth about who’s really eating the stuff she photographs! I love Ali not only because she and I both admit to having had awkward body insecurity vendettas over high school volleyball shorts and not only because she sat in her car to record our entire interview, but also because she, too, believes in the importance of telling it like it freaking is thank you very much, and in this fun conversation, I think, and I hope, we told a lot of things like they freaking are thank you very much!   You’ll hear: All about portion distortion and how to stop having it. What being a KWEEN is all about, and how to be more “kweeny?” What being chill around food looks like...and doesn’t look like. How Ali realized she had nutrition information overload, and how she unloaded. A strategy for scrolling social media more consciously. A secret behind all that food porn you’re seeing… And lots more! Today’s guest and I share similar roots – we are both Aerospace Engineers who jumped careers into entrepreneurship and we both like to maintain a balance of our left and right brain through our spiritual studies. Ali Boone is a 9-to-5 dropout who left a high-paying career as an Aerospace Engineer to start her own business. She is the founder of Hipster Investments, a real estate investment company that flips real estate investing on its head. Not only does Hipster offer unique investment opportunities that open the door for anyone to invest in real estate, but Ali has structured Hipster in such a way that allows her full freedom to create the life of her dreams. Ali has Master’s degrees in both Aerospace Engineering and Spiritual Psychology. She has written over 170 articles for BiggerPockets—the world’s leading real estate investing website. She has been featured in Fox Business and The Motley Fool, has over 300k views on her Calculating Rental Property Numbers video on YouTube, has sold over 200 copies of her Turnkey Rental Properties 101 eBook, and was awarded Top 100 Real Estate Investing Blogs & Websites on the Web. If you ask Ali what her biggest accomplishment is though, she’ll tell you it’s that she successfully created a completely location-independent business that allows her to live wherever she wants, travel whenever she wants, work whenever she wants, and most importantly—be her own boss. Ali’s strengths are in organic business building, passive income, outsourcing, and lifestyle design. She also does business consulting where she specializes in looking at the puzzle pieces of struggling businesses and, using her engineering background and experience as a successful entrepreneur, helps fit those puzzle pieces back together in a way that best supports the client and their business. When Ali isn’t helping people buy real estate or coaching other entrepreneurs, she is usually flying airplanes around Santa Monica (and teaching other people to fly as well), hanging out in the SoCal outdoors whether it be the beach or the ski slopes, or volunteering in California prisons. She is also a failed reality makeover TV star. Amidst her busy schedule, her ultimate goal is to one-day challenge Tim Ferriss to a lifestyle design duel. It’s getting colder outside and that means Hygge Season! So cozy up into this episode and enjoy  - and remember, RSVP to rsvp@fempower.ca to reserve your spot to this week’s Fempower LIVE! We will cover how she manages both the physical and mental side of her disease and how hard it is when your body holds you back from what you want to do despite all the motivation and drive in the world.  How being a strong person is not enough to get past what is happening in your body and you have to learn how to manage and build your confidence that you can and will get through it. Ali and I get very real about her struggles with her disease and her life overall.  We discuss body image and comparisons to others and how we looked at other times of our life. Today’s Guest Ali Feller of the Ali On The Run Show, freelance writer and editor, podcast host and blogger lives in New York City with her husband and rescue dog. What you will learn about: Does Ali like the name she chose for her blog and podcast and was she surprised at the time that people would be interested in her running journey? What got Ali started running? How does Ali interview all the “big name” guests and not get intimidated by them? Advice for learning what works for you and listening to your body. What makes a highly successful woman? Society often paints a picture of success that looks like this: Either you’re home all the time, dedicating 100% of your time to your family, or you’re at work all the time, completely abandoning your friends, family and the rest of your life. But as I discussed with Laura Vanderkam in Episode 34: Excuses That Steal Your Time, that’s a myth! The truth is, you can be successful in multiple areas of your life. You can be successful in your career, your relationships, your business and even your health and exercise routines—get this!—all in the same life.     It’s all about priorities. When every waking minute is taken up for work, routine responsibilities, or taking care of others, you’ll feel the opposite of successful; you’ll feel stressed out and set back. For example, when I start to feel overwhelmed, it’s usually because I’m not spending time on the things that I care about the most. So, I’ve made it a habit to take a look at my schedule when that happens. It’s pretty eye-opening to see what gets my time. If I’m honest, there are a lot of unworthy motivations I have that sometimes creep to the top of my priority list, such as: Pleasing people Being the hero Accomplishments Keeping up with Facebook Pursuing perfectionism Approval Feeling needed Chasing those motivations, no matter how much effort I put into them, always leaves me coming up short. I spin my wheels, and I feel like a failure. The problem with achieving success in your life (and mine!) isn’t that we aren’t doing enough, and it’s not that we’re doing too much. Often, it’s that we’re doing the wrong things. So, let’s talk about the right things! And don’t worry, you don’t have to sacrifice—at least, not in the way you think you do. In this episode, I’ll reveal habits, characteristics and traits that are present in the lives of highly successful women. I’ll dive into the seven things you need to prioritize to achieve success. And the great news it this: If you don’t currently have them, I promise you can learn to practice all of them starting today! By the way, you know what’s not on the list of traits of successful women? Pleasing people Being the hero Seeking approval (You get the idea!) My guest this week is Ali Brown! Ali is the host of the highly successful Glambition podcast, and her passion is to see women succeed in business! Ali’s story of success began with recognizing what she was good at. She was a mover and a shaker working in an office of—as she puts it—“turtles!” It didn’t take long for Ali to realize her own potential, get excited about doing things her own way, and quit her day job to pursue her own freelance business full time. In my conversation with Ali, we’ll talk about: What it means to blaze your own trail, do business differently, and design your business around your life How Ali got started using email newsletters when the Internet was just becoming a thing The benefits of being inspired by other women rather than intimidated by them What success really looks like today Three trends she sees in highly successful women Success Story: Abbey Ashley's Wildly Successful Courses & Coaching! Our success story this week is Abbey Ashley, founder of The Virtual Savvy. Abbey says she helps “savvy starters launch and grow their virtual assistant business to 5K months and beyond!” Abbey took what she knew from being a virtual assistant and turned that knowledge and experience into online courses. While her first course launch was by no means successful—she only had one customer sign up—she didn’t give up there. The next iteration of her business was in virtual assistant business coaching, and she started The Virtual Savvy in August 2016. Since then, she’s become hyper-focused and (at the time of publication) has made over $300K in sales! I’m so excited that she’s sharing her strategy for success with us. I have a special request this week: share this episode with every curious person in your life.  The conversation, with a 26-year old investor named Ali Hamed, serves as an example of what’s possible when you think creatively.  Ali views the world with a fresh set of eyes, and has already become an expert at identifying new investment opportunities where others have not. As the second prodigy 26 year old in as many weeks on the podcast, these young guns are making me feel like an ancient 32 year old.  We talk a lot about “alpha” in our world, earning returns better than the market. But the key word in that last sentence isn’t alpha, it’s earning. Hopefully you, like me, will use this conversation as a reminder of what it takes to earn differentiated returns. It’s not just the hard work, but also the mindset. We explore many examples of how to create new investment opportunities, from rolling up Instagram accounts, to financing perishable fruit like watermelons, to heavy machinery software.  Please enjoy this special conversation with Ali Hamed. Follow him and his partners. And then go figure out how to earn success yourself in whatever it is you do by helping other people solve problems with empathy.  For more episodes go to InvestorFieldGuide.com/podcast. Ali Wing is the Chief Marketing Officer and EVP of Digital Channels at Maurices. Ali started her career with NIKE in marketing (NIKE women and sport casual) and later moved into corporate development (NIKE and NIKE International). From creating brand, marketing and digital strategies for venture capital–backed multichannel retail concepts like Gazoontite to founding and launching Giggle, a multichannel retailer, wholesaler and licenser of baby products, Ali’s passion and legacy is brand building and innovation. Here are the highlights of the conversation with our Guest: - Ali gives us a peek of her life from getting used to a new city, growing up as a small-town kid among nine other siblings, how she accidently fell in love with brand, brand strategy and brand development, and how she got introduced to Nike. - The memory that fueled her passion for connecting with the customer and the strategies they had employed to arrive with the most effective first women’s campaign such as journey mapping and recognizing when you have made a mistake - How Ali’s personality and her skill set play in coming up with her perspectives to arrive with the right marketing plan for her target markets; and how she drives the balance of having an art/math mentality. - What inspired Giggle and its genesis. Ali shares details on how she had gained a unique perspective when growing up and how this led her to tap data and analytics for insights to bring Giggle into fruition. - How she took Giggle from concept to scale; and her big wins including being born omni-channel, rolling out the retail side of the company a year before the crash, being able to filter market feedback and learning that everything takes work and takes time. - The things she finds hard to implement in being an omni-channel in bigger companies and the overarching complexities that she has to deal with among the issues she is brought in the solve. - Ali explains why research and customer journey mapping are among her top priorities when she is brought in to intervene; and gives examples why balancing innovation and removal of friction points are equally important in staying in the game. - Where they are focusing their attention on in terms of digital channels to ensure they are making their impact: mobile first. Ali shares how their forecasts were blown away by how quickly consumers had switched to mobile and how it is becoming clear that an increasing number of consumers are no longer investing in desktops. - How Ali sees mobile evolving and how it changes their business processes. She also discusses the impact of geo fencing and the value of the data it brings in. Rapid Fire Questions: How would you define innovation? - It’s leveraging creativity, technology and teams to solve problems that, at the end of the day, the consumers tell you with their wallet. Would you put more emphasis on the idea or the execution? How would you weigh each of them and why? - Execution is everything. Innovation, as a concept, is less about an idea and more about a philosophy and execution is where you bring it to life. Most initial ideas are wrong, they just put you on the map but the question is how you execution to find the right point in the map. So I’ll give you 99% to 1% going towards execution. What is your biggest learning lesson on your journey so far? - You cannot take for granted the change is hard for some people so I remind myself to help people move to the process for this evolution. What is your favorite business book? - Zag: The Number One Strategy of High-Performance Brands by Marty Neumeier - Zero to One: Notes on Startups, or How to Build the Future by Peter Thiel What is your favorite mobile app resource? - Scott Galloway What is your favorite app and why? - Sephora - FreshDirect What is the coolest thing that you are working on right now that you want everyone to know about? - Our discovery platform gets data from our customers to find out how they came to us – offline or online – but they have to become a customer first for me to see their data so there is a gap there. We are doing beta testing to start mapping identities so we solve this.
