Greetings to the Living.Thank you all who've continued to listen to the show and double-plus-good thanks to all who support this work. After a long hiatus I have returned from the wilderness to offer you some things to think about if you so choose. Many will hear this conversation and scoff at the notion of its founding and likely assume I've gone off the deep end. That would be a normal and expected reaction and honestly I don't care one way or the other. I did this show for me and my own interest and concern. I chose to produce it as an episode of the podcast because I truly believe the content is important and ought to be understood and accepted. Of course, I'm not here to convince you of anything. You're the one's listening after all.Damien Dumar is the publisher of the book The Last Harvest, authored by a Mr. Lucien Mars. Damien has been making the rounds promoting the book and you can find many in-depth interviews and synopses in other previous podcasts and interviews. I will include links to what I consider to be the most informative and straight-forward of those conversations. I'm also including links to the book itself via Amazon and Audible as well as his youtube channel and others where you will find he makes a very compelling case, particularly a presentation he made at the Luxor in Las Vegas. In this conversation we veer off the promotional course and dive deeper into some of the fundamental messaging and concepts in The Last Harvest. These are questions never before asked as far as I know and I believe it provides deeper context to the book and the physical evidence of it's acceleration that is beyond obvious to those with eyes to see. For once you see it, you can never unsee it.THANK YOU for hanging on with me here. We are joined by Ben Stopford who explains the importance of building a connection with your garden, for example growing food in your garden, creating a space to sit in peace and connect to nature. Ben talks about how the average person on earth is not flourishing. One of his approaches to help is to become more actively engaged in bioregionalism - reducing your focus down to a geographical region called a bioregion. The idea is you become familiar with what is around you within a 10 mile radius, to help break down the feeling of ‘overwhelm' or ‘where can I start' when it comes to ecological matters. We talk about how we can re-educate ourselves by asking the basic questions such as what is nature, what does it mean to be in the world, what is the self in relation to the world - exploring the ecological Self. Ben talks about how environmentalism can sometimes be viewed at sacrifice - in the quest to become more ecological. However he gives some examples of it actually being the opposite and how it can create a deeper richer connection. We ask the question are we ascending (shifting our consciousness) and does this mean that as a collective we may start to start to move away from commercialism and consumerism?Ben discusses the work of Ecophilosopher Joanna Macy PhD. She talks about 3 stories that we connect to - the ‘business as usual' narrative being the first. Ben also mentions her work on what she refers to as ‘active hope' - and how the masses may feel hopeless over our planet crisis, but by narrowing down the things you can participate in and actually taking action - you can turn this into feeling more empowered. To find out more about her work, go to: www.activehope.infoYou can join Ben on his online platform - all about the ecological Self. Helping you to lean into your bio-region, explore it more fully, explore your connection to the area and your own connection to it. Developing and expanding your sense of self - where do I begin and end? What do you value? You can find out more about Ben by visiting his website: www.consciousroots.co.uk

Those are:Open source intelligence   (OSINT)Cyber intelligence    (CYBINT)Human intelligence   (HUMINT)Open source intel.    (OSINT)OSINT sources can be divided up into six different categories of information flow:Media - newspaper, magazines, radio, television, alternative news sites, and foreign news sitesInternet - online publications, blogs, discussion groups, user created content such as Youtube and social media sites such as Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. A good example is While the media was saying "peaceful protests" posted social media videos were showing buildings being burned, people being beaten, looting, and massive destruction.Public government dataGovernment reports, transcripts of government hearings, press conferences, and speechesProfessional & academic publicationsJournals, symposia, academic papers, even dissertations & thesesCommercial dataCommercial imagery, financial assessments, commercial weather, and especially satellite photos.Cyber intel.    (CYBINT)Properly formed cyber intelligence is born out of analysis.Analysis of data allows better decisionsIt often involves crunching data, computer modeling, weather modeling, and military models.Human intel.    (HUMINT)Propper Ground truth depends on getting "Eyes on" the, or at least first hand accounts. In some situations we need to do personal recon. In others we can gain information directly from friends, family, or listening to ham oporators, but we must separate fact from opinion or rumor. What is the environment, temperature, terrain, and water availability? We cover carrying appropriate backup gear, letting someone know where you are going and expected return time, and then check in with them.We get into some of the gear we should be carrying, and a survival mindset. Finally we talk about Surviving Grid Down Situations. It's All about safety, having a plan, and staging supplies in different areas of our house.Communications will be a MUST in surviving a grid down SHTF, and we discuss that.(We have done several podcasts on communications, so check out episodes #12, #13, #15, and #16.We also have articles on communications on the website at www.practicalprepping.info)Skills, skills, skills, did we say skills? This episode is brought to you by "Practical Prepping For Everyday People - A Common Sense  Guide On Preparing For Life's Emergencies " Available on Amazon and wherever books are sold. Autographed copies are available, drop us an email for details.Episode #51We first recognize some of the countries in our international audience. We ask that those in our international audience send us an email in reference to prepping in their country, as we would like to explore preparedness around the globe. The topic of this episode is: "What the Bible says about Prepping."First, we see being prepared IS taught in the Bible. We explore the example of Joseph in Genesis 41, as he is appointed by Pharaoh to prepare the land in seven years of abundance for the coming seven years of famine. God gifted Joseph with the ability and courage to interpret Pharaoh's disturbing dreams which ultimately led to this national policy of preparedness and provision for Egypt and its neighbor countries. We also discuss how the resourceful ant is referenced in Proverbs 6:6 as one who stores up in the summer for the winter.Would you believe that Jesus believed in backups when it came to weapons? The passage is found in Luke 22. Lets examine that.Second, prepping allows us to be able to bless others.Joseph was able to aid other countries, his family, and ultimately the nation of Israel through the famine. We believe the ultimate preparation is knowing Jesus Christ as your personal savior, but we respect everyone's rght to believe what they believe. We will not "force" our beliefs on anyone, but we do know that life with a personal relationship with Jesus Christ brings peace and freedom. May what we've shared today bless you and bring you even closer to God.If you would like more information on how to have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, please reach our to us by email at info@practicalprepping.infoPlease click the subscribe button on your podcast provider, so that you never miss an episode. Please consider supporting the podcast by buying us a cup of coffe. They help us in watching for those who are "out of place"AT HOME we can practice some "gray man" principles.     Don't announce travels or social media before or while away.     Don't put big ticket item boxes on the curb such as the new 72" TV box. That advertises to burglars.Be discrete when loading weapons into vehicles.Cut labels off certain boxes, which may identify us as preppers, before putting them in the recycle bin.During SHTF     Wear NO tactical clothing     Carry NO tactical bags     Better to have hikers backpack, otherwise use raincover over tactical pack     Display No tactical gear:     No knives affixed to shoulder straps     Keep everything concealedIn the city, wear neutral colors     Blends in with city buildings, sreets, and objects     Avoid bright colorsIn rual areas wear seasonal clothing     Hunting clothing normal attire in some areas     Jeans and shirt, capAround group of people, behave like everyone else      Ask the same questions, exhibit same actions     Act like the "normal" folks are acting.     STAY situationally aware     Know when to disappearandPlease consider supporting the podcast by buying us a cup of coffe.
