 Do you need the Holy Spirit? In this message, Lead Pastor Jamie Nunnally helps us understand that the Holy Spirit isn't optional in the Christian life—He's the source of it. Who Is the Holy Spirit? The Holy Spirit is the third person of the Trinity. He is God. The Hebrew word Ruach and the Greek word Pneuma both mean "wind" or "breath." The Holy Spirit is a person—He feels, speaks, and can be hurt by how we live. Ephesians 4:30 (NLT): "Do not bring sorrow to God's Holy Spirit by the way you live." 1 Thessalonians 5:19 (ESV): "Do not quench the Spirit." You determine how much of the Spirit you experience. The Holy Spirit isn't a power you use—He's a person you know. What Is the Holy Spirit Like? The Holy Spirit isn't weird—people are. Like the wind, He is: Invisible. John 14:17 (NIV). You may not see Him, but you can see His results. Unpredictable. John 3:8 (NIV). You can't control or schedule Him—you can only make room for Him. What Does the Holy Spirit Do? He provides power. Acts 1:8 (NLT): "You will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you." He isn't an accessory; He's the power supply. He gives gifts. 1 Corinthians 12:4 (NLT): "...different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit is the source of them all." They're for showing love, not off. He cleanses us. 1 Corinthians 6:11 (NLT): "...you were cleansed... by the Spirit of our God." Jesus forgives sin; the Spirit fixes character. He teaches us. John 14:26 (ESV): "...the Helper... will teach you all things..." He turns Scripture from words you read into words you live. He guides us. Romans 8:14 (NLT): "...all who are led by the Spirit of God are children of God." He's your guide and guardrail—follow Him, and you won't lose your way. He helps us. John 14:16–17 (NIV): "...he will give you another advocate to help you..." When you can't, He can. He convicts us. John 16:8 (NLT): "He will convict the world of its sin." Conviction draws you to God. "It's God's job to judge, the Spirit's to convict, and ours to love." —Billy Graham He fellowships with us. 2 Corinthians 13:14 (NLT): "... the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all." He wants relationship, not visitation rights. Closing At the source of the Nile, a hidden spring flows north, bringing life wherever it goes. After more than 100 years, Chinook salmon have made it to areas above Upper Klamath Lake in Southern Oregon. Earlier this month, a radio-tagged adult salmon was detected in the Williamson River and others were found in tributaries on the west side of Upper Klamath Lake and in the Sprague River. The return of salmon follows the largest river restoration project in U.S. history. The removal of four dams in Southern Oregon and Northern California was completed last year. Adult salmon swam more than 200 miles from the ocean to the Oregon side of the Klamath Basin for the first time since 1912. The Klamath Tribes said the fish need time and protection to thrive again. Tinubu Revises Self On Pardons Earlier Granted To Murderers, Kidnappershttps://osazuwaakonedo.news/tinubu-revises-self-on-pardons-earlier-granted-to-murderers-kidnappers/#Law #Nwike #Oniarah #Ozehekome #Sanda #Tinubu ©October 30th, 2025 ®OPresident Bola Ahmed Tinubu of Nigeria has issued a revised policy actions over the 2025 Presidential Pardons he had earlier granted to 175 persons, some of whom were convicted murderers, deadly kidnappers; which included Maryam Sanda, who had spent barely six years and eight months at the Suleja Medium Security Custodial Centre after she was convicted and sentenced to death by hanging over the killing of her husband, Bilyaminu Bello in Abuja who she stabbed three times repeatedly, this, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in his earlier presidential pardon granted to the 37 years old convicted and condemned murderer, Maryam Sanda, had asked her to go home free because of her children, but, following public outcry and condemnation, in the revised version of the presidential pardons signed into law on October 21, 2025 and made available to the public by the Presidency on Wednesday October 29, 2025, President Tinubu commuted the death sentence to 12 years imprisonment, although, the Presidency never mentioned the total numbers of people granted the presidential pardons, but, the list of beneficiaries made available by the Presidential Spokesperson, Bayo Onanuga, indicated that only 86 persons were granted the presidential pardons, and Maryam Sanda apparently spelt as Maryam Sunda was last on the list, and the names of earlier beneficiaries like Kelvin Prosper Oniarah, were not seen in the revised edition of the list, maybe, the names were omitted due to excessive public outcry that Prosper Kelvin Oniarah was a convicted notorious high profile gang leader of a deadly kidnapping group that were widely stated to be responsible for the kidnapping and subsequent killing of a former Anambra State Deputy Governor, Chudi Nwike, kidnapping of a prominent legal practitioner, Mike Ozhekome on August 24th 2013 along Benin-Auchi road and during the kidnapping operation, the gunmen ambushed and killed four police officers including the Divisional Police Officer, DPO of Ehor Division who led the police team in an attempt to rescue Mike Ozhekome, outside that, the 44 years old Oniarah was also stated to be responsible for the kidnapping of a Judge in the Edo State Judiciary; a top female official of the Federal Inland Revenue Service, FIRS; among other several members of the National Youth Service Corps, NYSC and security agents and Oniarah was also stated to carry out several armed robberies and kidnap operations in Delta, Edo, Rivers and Anambra States, maintaining operational base and detention camps in Warri and Kokori Community in Delta State, Ugbokolo Community in Benue State, Benin City in Edo State, and Aba in Abia State, that on 18th September, 2013, Oniarah issued a 60-day ultimatum to the Federal Government of Nigeria to release some of his boys who were arrested by the Department of State Services, DSS or he would wreak havoc on innocent Nigerian citizens, and, on 25th September, 2013, a combined security team of the Nigerian Army and DSS operatives arrested Kelvin Prosper Oniarah, a convicted notorious terrorist, kidnap kingpin and armed robber, who had been on the wanted list of the security agencies, and he was subsequently sentenced to 20 years imprisonment which he had spent 12 years in prison before President Bola Ahmed Tinubu had initially made an attempt to release him. #OsazuwaAkonedoBecome a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/osazuwaakonedo--4980924/support.Kindly support us for more productivity and efficiency in news delivery.Visit our donation page: DonateYou can also use our Mobile app for more news in different formats: CLICK TO DOWNDLOAD ON GOOGLE PLAY STORE

When my ears heard the first moments of the song "Rivers" by Daisychain, everything stopped.  It was one of those moments.   I knew we were in "nextfavband" land.  A deeper dive in to their catalog reveled countless bangers - all tracks stay true to a core dripping with psych rock blues, but they often take a moment to try on other genres, all to a great success.Daisychain is a femme-fronted psych/blues rock trio from Chicago made up of Nickole Regala (bass, vocals), Frankie Sripada (lead guitar) and Sophia Williams (rhythm guitar, vocals). Formed in 2017, Regala and Williams met at a local open mic night, and weeks later they were jamming. Sripada was invited into the mix, and the trio began rehearsing as Daisychain in the basement of their neighborhood coffee shop. The young Prince Edward arrives at The Temple Beautiful and complains to Richard about his uncles imprisonment. Richard tells him his uncles Rivers and Dorset were dangerous. Edward protests but is interrupted by the arrival of the Mayor of London who greets him with flattery. Edward asks about the whereabouts of his mother and brother, the Duke of York. Hastings arrives and tells Edward his mother and brother are in sanctuary. Buckingham orders Hastings to bring York to them by force. The Cardinal protests but Buckingham convinces him there's no need for sanctuary under these circumstances. Alone with his uncle Richard, Edward asks where he and his brother will be staying before their coronation. Richard tells him they're to stay in the Tower. Edward protests but is interrupted by the arrival of his younger brother. Little York teases Richard until he learns they're going to the Tower. He starts to argue but Edward tells him not to fear. They're taken away. Richard and Buckingham call in Catesby to test Hastings' loyalty. Once alone, Richard promises Buckingham the Earldom of Hereford. Later that night, a messenger from Stanley arrives at Barrington Hall to warn Hastings that Richard is going to kill him. Hastings reassures him that Richard won't harm him. Catesby arrives and hears from Hastings that he won't support Richard taking the throne, even though he had his enemies (Rivers and Dorset) killed. Stanley rolls up and warns Hastings not to trust Richard. Buckingham saunters out to meet them and takes them to the Tower for the coronation. Elsewhere, in a warehouse basement in Pomfret, Rivers begs for his life as Ratcliffe drowns him. The Klamath River, which runs from southern Oregon to California, used to be a top salmon run. But after a series of hydroelectric dams was installed along the river around 100 years ago, salmon populations tanked.This is the prologue to a remarkable story of a coalition that fought to restore the river. Led by members of the Yurok Nation, who've lived along the river for millennia, a group of lawyers, biologists, and activists successfully lobbied for the removal of the dams.
