Matterport Becomes Autodesk Premium Partner, Deepening Relationship on Digital Twin Collaboration For Design & Construction As a Premium Partner, Matterport will gain access to Autodesk's extensive go-to-market resources to nurture the development and enhancement of new and existing integrations SUNNYVALE, California, Thursday, October 26, 2023 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Matterport, Inc. (Nasdaq: MTTR), the leading digital twin platform to access, understand, and utilize properties, today announced its membership as an Autodesk Construction Cloud® Premium Partner, helping bring Matterport's 4K digital twins to even more construction professionals. Autodesk Construction Cloud is a portfolio of software services that combines advanced technology, a builders network and predictive insights for construction teams. Matterport has been part of the Autodesk Construction Cloud partner ecosystem since 2020, when it first introduced the Matterport Partner Card within BIM 360®. Since then, Matterport has introduced several new add-ons, features, and integrations to support design and construction professionals across their Autodesk® and Autodesk Construction Cloud workflows, becoming one of the most popular integrations available in the Autodesk App Store and Partner Card library. Today, Matterport users can collaborate across several Autodesk workflows, including: 1. Autodesk® Docs: Create, view, and collaborate on Issues directly within a Matterport digital twin of a project, or generate specific file types (.rvt, .ifc, .dwg, .xyz) from models to share with stakeholders. 2. Autodesk® Build: Easily create, assign, and track RFIs connected to a Matterport digital twin in Autodesk Build to pinpoint site problems and ensure project teams are on the same page. 3. Matterport Partner Card: Add the Matterport Partner Card to your Autodesk Build Insights or BIM 360 Project Home dashboards to provide stakeholders with visual site context alongside essential project data. 4. Autodesk® Revit® Plugin: Streamline workflows by directly importing Matterport point cloud files (.XYZ and .E57) and BIM files (.rvt, .ifc) into Revit to kickstart 3D model creation. As a Premium Partner, Matterport will collaborate closely with Autodesk on new APIs that help improve capabilities available to customers and on extensive go-to-market activities to help customers discover and take advantage of that value. “Since Matterport began its journey into the design and construction space, Autodesk has been an invaluable partner in integrating the strengths of our immersive platform with Autodesk's decades of expertise,” said Jay Remley, Chief Revenue Officer, Matterport. “We've been blown away by the positive reaction to our latest integration with Autodesk Construction Cloud, and as a Premium Partner, look forward to delivering even deeper integrations that can help anyone in the design and construction phases keep their projects moving, from wherever they are.” “Digital twins help the construction industry significantly address collaboration issues and information silos,” said James Cook, director – industry & technology partnerships at Autodesk Construction Solutions. “Given that Matterport's technology helps democratize the reality capture, creation, and use of 3D digital twins, we're enthusiastic about how our partnership has grown. Matterport's addition as a Premium Partner translates into a lot of value for our mutual customers.” Matterport's integrations are available today in the Autodesk App Store for all supported regions. Sister Mary Scullion and Candice Player of Project HOME tell host Racquel Williams that if everyone had a safe place to call home, equal and livable wages, and quality health care, they could break the cycle of poverty and homelessness. For 35 years, the non-profit has been working towards creating access to affordable transitional and permanent housing programs in Philadelphia's most challenged neighborhoods. Then, Shara Dae Howard talks to the curators of the exhibition, Rising Sun: Artists in An Uncertain America. It's a new collaboration between the African American Museum and the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts featuring 20 artists who exlpore the question, "Is the sun rising or setting on the experiment of American democracy?" We hear from Project HOME's co-founder Sister Mary Scullion, residents and staff of the nonprofit, and Kristin Romens, who leads the Pew Fund for Health and Human Services, about how Project HOME builds a sense of community as it seeks to end homelessness.

You can judge a civilization by how it treats its most destitute – those who, in the words of Matthew 25, represent the least fortunate of God's people. For five decades on the streets of Philadelphia, Sister Mary Scullion, class of 1976 at St. Joseph's University, has served as a woman for and with others. Through her Project HOME organization, she's helped shepherd thousands out of the cycle of homelessness – offering them not just a shelter roof, but health care, education, and employment. She's an activist for raising the minimum wage, homeless voter registration, and decriminalizing loitering; she's also been arrested for passing out food and has taken over city building basements during freezing winter nights. A beloved local hero, she's won the Laetare Medal, American Catholicism's highest honor, and made Time Magazine's annual list of the world's 100 most influential people. In episode 2 of Formative, we talk about the inspiration she drew from Father Pedro Arrupe, the exhausting trauma of ministering through a pandemic, and what the homeless usually see when those with housing look at them.

Host and KYW Newsradio Community Affairs reporter Cherri Gregg takes a look back at some of the most talked about segments of Flashpoint. For our debate segment, we discuss the controversy over a perceived double standard when it comes to policing fans versus protestors. Philadelphia Policy Deputy Commmissioner Joe Sullivan joined Shani Akila and Abdul Aliy Muhammad, co-founders of the Black and Brown Workers Collective and civil rights attorney James Funt in this eye opening conversation. The Best of Flashpoint newsmakers of the week were from the Valentine's Day "Love Show." Kevin Patterson, author of Love is Not Colorblind and Rebecca Hiles, "It's called Polyamory." The duo is in a relationship. Patterson is married. They dig into open marriages and why it's becoming more popular. Our changemaker of the week was honored by KYW Newsradio during Black History Month. Helen Brown, was a longtime organizer with Project Home. She passed away in September, but her life is a demonstration of what one person can do to positively impact a community beginning at their own front door. Rest in Peace Miss Helen! Treating America's Opioid Addiction Part 3: Searching for Meaning in Kensington

“We should never, ever forget that addiction treatment is a search for meaning in a place other than using drugs.” —Nancy Campbell, historian of drug addiction (This is the third and final chapter of a three-part series. See Part 1 and Part 2.) In the final chapter of this series we travel to the heart of our modern opioid crisis. In what is now a notorious Philadelphia neighborhood called Kensington, we meet two victims of the epidemic and follow them on two distinct paths toward recovery. Our current devastating opioid crisis is unprecedented in its reach and deadliness, but it’s not the first such epidemic the United States has experienced or tried to treat. In fact, it’s the third.  Treating America’s Opioid Addiction is a three-part series that investigates how we’ve understood and treated opioid addiction over more than a century. Through the years we’ve categorized opioid addiction as some combination of a moral failure, a mental illness, a biological disease, or a crime. And though we’ve desperately wanted the problem to be something science alone can solve, the more we look, the more complicated we learn it is.  Credits Hosts: Alexis Pedrick and Elisabeth Berry Drago Reporters: Mariel Carr and Rigoberto Hernandez, with additional reporting by Meir Rinde Senior Producer: Mariel Carr Producer: Rigoberto Hernandez Audio Engineer: James Morrison  Photo illustration by Jay Muhlin Additional audio production by Dan Drago Music Music courtesy of the Audio Network.  Research Notes Interviews: Claire Clark, author of The Recovery Revolution: The Battle over Addiction Treatment in the United States.  Nancy Campbell, historian and director of Science and Technology Studies at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at Temple University is a lifelong learning academy where people 50 years and older attend classes and pursue the joy of learning without the traditional academic requirements of tests and grades. All classes are held during the day in Center City Philadelphia. Since its beginning in 1989, Project HOME has been a leader in providing comprehensive and effective services to persons who experience chronic homelessness. With innovation, leadership, and an unyielding commitment to the dignity of each person, we have developed nationally recognized programs that have proven that homelessness can be solved. Boomer Generation Radio is sponsored in part by Kendal Corporation, a Quaker-based provider of continuing care retirement communities in the Northeast and Midwest, airs on WWDB-AM 860 every Tuesday at 10 a.m., and features news and conversation aimed at Baby Boomers and the issues facing them as members of what Rabbi Address calls “the club sandwich generation.” You can hear the show live on AM 860, or streamed live from the WWDB website.
