The dynamic world of pressure valve technology is continuously evolving. Current trends suggest a shift towards more efficient, reliable, and adaptable systems. Estimates forecast the valve market to grow at a 3.5 percent compound annual growth rate over the next six years, driven by increasing demand in power generation, oil and gas, and manufacturing sectors. Amidst this burgeoning market, a new contender is making waves: StarFlow V. The critical question is: How does the StarFlow V revolutionize the pressure valve technology market? On a new episode of “FlowCast” by Trillium Flow Technologies, host Michelle Dawn Mooney talked to Sebastien Vermeulen, Global Product Manager at Trillium. A comprehensive explanation of the pressure valve technology behind the StarFlow V and how it sets itself apart in the marketplace. Auditors have an important part to play in the fight against climate change and need to adjust their reporting requirements to reflect that. This is according to Natasha Landell-Mills, head of stewardship and partner at Sarasin & Partners, who said this is one of the reasons why the asset manager decided to write an open letter to the four big audit firms asking them to put more effort into climate disclosures. Also in this podcast Landell-Mills explains how the firm engaged with Shell and what she thought were the biggest wins and misses of COP26.

This week's Open Mic guest is Leslie Sarasin, president and CEO of FMI-The Food Industry Association. The COVID-19 pandemic brought a tremendous strain on nearly every aspect of the food industry and seemingly overnight changes in consumer shopping patterns. Sarasin suggests many of those new paradigms are here to stay. FMI's Grocery Shopper Trends survey indicates technology will play a greater role in how consumers shop for food and some well-defined differences in shopper attitudes and motivations. Sarasin suggests the farmer's role in sustainable food production has an even greater role in consumer food selection.

While politicians and lawyers argue over the results of the US presidential election, investors thoughts are already turning to what this wrangling is likely to mean for markets in the medium and long term. Join me and Eric G. Sarasin for a conversation why Covid19 may actually be an opportunity to finally transition our economies and societies to a CO2 free and sustainable reality. Eric believes that the stimulus programs by the governments around the world to combat the Covid19 fallout, should be channeled into the ‘green economy' and investments. According a WEF study he mentions, transitioning into sustainable business models creates billions worth of corporate profits and many hundred thousand of jobs. He tells us how his Family owned bank, Bank Sarasin, started a ‘green investment fund' many years ago – amongst the first of its kind – yet found it hard to sell it to investors. Now things have changed. His involvement with the Race For Water Foundation is very important to him, as he sees climate change and hardship caused by it potentially resulting in social unrest and anarchy. A statistic he mentions: If we fail to change our M.O. with Plastic right now, then there will be more plastic in the oceans than fish by 2050! Eric Sarasin has 30 years of banking experience with Morgan Stanley, Pictet & Cie, Citibank and, of course, Sarasin Bank (now Bank J. Safra Sarasin). At Sarasin Bank, he holds various management positions in many business sectors and developed the family-owned bank into one of Switzerland's leading private banks, culminating in his role as Deputy CEO of the Group. Since 2019, he has been Chairman of the Board of Directors of Singularity Group SA and Board member of several other private companies and investment companies. He is also Chairman of TIGER21 Zurich, an association for entrepreneurs, CEO's and specially qualified investors from around the world, with 700 members. During his career, Eric has held a number of public, non-private and cultural management positions, including 12 years as President of the German-Swiss Chamber of Commerce, five years as Treasurer of WWF International, and he sits on the Executive Board as treasurer of the League against Cancer in Basel, the Swiss Peace Foundation, the Paul Josef Jenni Foundation, the Maurice E. Muller Foundation, the Race for Water Foundation, as well as heading and participating in NGOs, including Human Rights Watch. Eric is married, has four children, and lives in Basel. In the latest episode of Future Thinking, Ben McEwen, climate investment analyst at Sarasin & Partners, discusses his unique role, the importance of education and what really has to happen to ensure meaningful climate change abatement starts to take hold.

In a wide ranging discussion the CIO’s touched on the possibility of a reckoning in the technology sector - akin to the breaking up of the railways in the early 20th century. Together with the fact that despite the low economic and earnings growth in the developed world they do not anticipate this decade long cycle to end any time soon. And also that the world needs fiscal spending and the UK under the leadership of this Conservative government appear to understand that and are well placed to make it a reality. Taking part in the discussion were:- • Lucy MacDonald – MD, CIO of Global Equities at Allianz Global Investors • Nigel Bolton – MD, Co-CIO of Active Equities at BlackRock • Piers Hillier – CIO at Royal London Asset Management • Guy Monson – Senior Partner, CIO at Sarasin & Partners • Mark Dowding – CIO at BlueBay Asset Management

The Angry Clean Energy Guy on a virus infecting sustainability: Big Oil are deliberately poisoning what sustainability means, diluting its impact and reach, and they are doing that in plain sight, borrowing the language and applying it to terrible initiatives and companies all designed to propagate our use of harmful fossil fuels and indeed increase it, rather than decrease it, when everyone knows we need to power the world with renewables as well as pretty much phase out our use of oil, gas and coal by 2050 – to have any chance of avoiding catastrophic climate change. Winner of the week: Asset managers Sarasin, for divesting from Shell while not mincing words. Villain of the week, Cargill, named “Worst Company in the World” by NGO Mighty Earth

Speaking of Partnership: Personal Stories of the Power and Payoffs of Partnership
Kim Sarasin – The Queen of Hearts - is one of North America’s most sought-after relationship experts. With over 50,000 fans & followers and a 97% success rate for connecting women with their soulmate, Kim has a long list of happy clients, and a wealth of tips and tools to help you attract your King. She is a regular guest expert on CTV, CBC, Global TV and a featured writer for National print and online magazines. Guiding Principle, Quote or Mantra In order to attract a king you must know how to be a queen. When You Tripped Up 20 years ago, Kim felt like she was constantly tripping up. What ultimately drove her down to California in seek of help was being stuck in a continuous cycle of attracting men that were no good for her. She would stay in these relationships way past their expiry and then finally end up dumping them. She would then go and find a nice guy but would soon after get bored and didn’t know how to receive his kindness. She’d soon after lose all interest, steamroll over him, and go out and find a new bad boy. That cycle would go on for years and years until she finally made a change. That “Duh” moment in partnership Kim was doing all this research on how to attract the right guy and maintain those relationships. She wanted to end her cycle and wanted to know how to ask for what she wants from men. From successful relationships that she observed, she quickly noticed that the women were so great at asking for what they wanted from their men. After further research on the topic it all started to make total sense. What helps a women shift from being “the best man in the room”? Kim explains that women have become production junkies. She shares that this is obviously amazing that women are where they are and moving in the right direction, but we need to find a balance between our feminine and masculine. It’s not about compressing the masculine, but rather simply bringing out the feminine. You need to allow the man to do things for you, otherwise they’ll feel like they’re not needed. What is the best partnership / relationship advice you have ever received? Adopt the habit of appreciating men. For the fourth consecutive year, the Canadian Decibel Geek team of Wallygator Norton and Rich "The Meister" Dillon, the Hoser Heavy Metal Twins, return to the Decibel Geek airwaves. In what has become a yearly tradition in which regular weekly podcast hosts, Chris and Aaron take their Thanksgiving off and the Canadians host the episode, the duo from The Great White North present an episode jam-packed with music from Canadian artists. Hoser Heavy Metal Hour Vol4 Due to schedule alignment issues, mainly caused by a trip to Tokyo, the boys were unable to record with their planned guest host in time. As a solution, they reached out to some of their favorite Canadian bands and artists, some popular and some more underground, and had them choose the music for this hour-plus episode. You'll hear tracks by Refugee, Rush, Public Animal, April Wine, A Foot in Cold Water and more as chosen by artists like Brian Vollmer (Helix), Sarasin, Gerry McGhee (Brighton Rock), Diemonds, A Rebel Few, and Shock. Gregory Mosher: In May of 1988, Peter Van Zandt moderated a talk with director and Lincoln Center Theatre artistic director Gregory Mosher, just weeks after the opening of the Broadway production of David Mamet's Speed-the-Plow. In a conversation that focuses on Mosher's longstanding relationship with Mamet, and Mosher's leadership of Lincoln Center Theater since 1985, topics include Mosher and Mamet's first meeting in Chicago in 1974; the ambiguity of Speed-the-Plow; Mamet's preference for working with the same company of actors and Mosher's desire to open up the casting to a broader range of actors, including the casting of stage neophyte Madonna in her Broadway debut; the issues involved in releasing an actor; why Mosher loves producing perhaps more than directing; how the then-new Lincoln Center membership model compares with the classic theatrical subscription model; whether he believes Lincoln Center Theater should have a resident acting company, as it did when the Vivian Beaumont opened in the 1960s; the process of moving Sarasin!; and what he had learned from his new partner at LCT, Bernard Gerstein.
