Alex Christensen im BB RADIO Mitternachtstalk Mein Name ist Jens Herrmann und ich freue mich über meinen heutigen Gast: Es ist Alex Christensen, einer der erfolgreichsten DJs und Musikproduzenten Deutschlands, vielen unter seinem Künstlernamen „U 96“ oder „Alex C“ bekannt. Er gilt als einer der wichtigsten Impulsgeber der Techno-Dance- und Eurodance-Bewegung. Seinen ersten Achtungserfolg hatte er 1990, als Produzent für Verona Feldbusch mit dem Projekt „Chocolate“ und dem Hit "Ritmo de la Noche". Ein Jahr später wurde er als Musikproduzent von „U 96“ bekannt und eroberte mit "Das Boot" die Spitze der Charts. Mit "Happy People", mit „Prince Ital Joe feat. Marky Mark“ hatte er seinen ersten Top-Ten-Hit in Deutschland. In den folgenden Jahren war Alex Christensen als Autor, Produzent und Komponist für namhafte Künstler wie Right Said Fred, Tom Jones, *NSYNC, Oli.P, Marianne Rosenberg, Sarah Brightman, Helene Fischer und ATC tätig. 2009 vertrat er Deutschland beim Eurovision Song Contest in Moskau. Seit 2017 läuft das Projekt "Classical 90s Dance". Zusammen mit „The Berlin Orchestra“ ist er regelmäßig auf Live-Tournee und begeistert seine Fans mit den großen Hits der 90er Jahre. Über 60.000 Tickets wurden dafür bis heute verkauft und weit über 300.000 Alben zu diesem Thema fanden ihre Käufer. Am 5. Juni 2024 spielt Alex Christensen live mit „The Berlin Orchestra“ ein Konzert im Berliner Tempodrom: Thema: „Ein Abend - Nur Hits“. Eine der berühmtesten deutschen Filmproduktionen aller Zeiten. Darüber bekommt ihr in Folge 43 von Tales of Us etwas zu hören. Die Rede ist von "Das Boot" von Regisseur Wolfgang Petersen. Der Cast liest sich wie das "Who is Who" der deutschen Schauspiel-Szene. Alle diese wunderbaren Schauspieler auf dem Höhepunkt ihrer Karriere hätten diese Produktion wahrscheinlich unbezahlbar gemacht. So stehen die Produktionskosten allerdings bei "nur" inflationsbereinigten 35,1 Millionen Euro. Dies ist für eine deutsche Produktion allerdings auch schon eine "Hausnummer". Richtig mitgerissen wird man als Zuschauer jedoch nur bei der TV-Serie, die deutlich länger ist als der Film und laut einigen mitwirkenden Schauspielern auch der einzige "wahre Schnitt" von "Das Boot". Der Ex-Kraftwerk-Musiker Wolfgang Flür hat mit "Magazin 1" ein neues Album veröffentlicht. Hochkarätig sind auch die beteiligten Gäste zu denen Midge Ure, Claudia Brücken, Carl Cox, Juan Atkins, Maps und U96 zählen. Gemeinsam mit Olaf Zimmermann wird das neue Album in der ersten "elektro beats"-Stunde ausführlich vorgestellt. Themen sind u.a. die Zusammenarbeit mit Peter Duggal und den zahlreichen Musiker*innen, ihre Arbeitsweise, die Erklärung des Plattentitels und des Artworks und nicht zuletzt diverse, spannende Making-Of-Geschichten. Nach elf Jahren Pause, in der jeder der Musiker andere Projekte verfolgte, veröffentlichen Bodi Bill mit "I Love U I Do" ein neues Album. Bevor sie auf eine ausgedehnte Tournee gehen, schauten sie in der zweiten "elektro beats"-Stunde im Studio vorbei und stellten sehr ausführlich ihre neuen Titel vor und sprachen über deren Entstehung.

Eine Geburtstagsausgabe für Jenni und Andreas! Beide haben Ende Mai Geburtstag und die Bravo Hits 7 erschien am 31. Mai 1994. Da wurde in Bosnien-Herzegowina zum ersten Mal gewählt. Aber das ist gar nicht die Hauptgeschichte dieser Zeit. Die Hauptgeschichte ist natürlich die Bravo Hits CD, die wieder einige Hits aus allen Genres auf sich vereinte. Es gibt einen Beach Club (CD1) und einen Fun Club (CD2). Doch bevor es ans Eingemachte der CDs geht, gehen Jenni und Andreas mal wieder durch ihre Jugend. In welchen Discos waren sie zu Hause? Was war die Resterampe und warum war die Hechelei in Bielefeld eigentlich so cool? Jenni stellt CD1 vor, die mit einem Song beginnt, der einige Jahre später durch den Film Madagascar wieder Berühmtheit erlangte. Auch Urban Cookie Collective, U96 und Magic Affair waren auf CD1 vertreten. Andreas kümmert sich um den Fun Club. Hier kann Andreas erst mal mit einem Gerücht rund um Joshua Kadison aufräumen. Blur werden gewürdigt und bei "Six Was Nine" herrscht allgemeine Bestürzung. Aber hört selbst. Im letzten Teil vergeben Jenni und Andreas natürlich auch wieder ihre Awards. Det gör även Pandora i denna hitspäckade timme om 90-talets hits. Detta är sista delen om hitåret 1994 där det tjuvas lite med hitåret 1995. Eurodance med bland annat Magic Affair, U96, Basic Element och Maxx trängs om utrymmet och syntpopen ljuder också från såväl Depeche Mode som Erasure. Richard Marx och Elton John står för de softa tryckarballaderna. Detta är del 15 av 30 i serien om 90-talets hitlistemusik. Tanken med serien är att belysa vad som låg högst på de svenska hitlistorna under detta decennium. Man ska som bonus i bästa fall få veta något nytt antingen om låten eller artist eller grupp som man inte visste förut. Serien görs av Micke Cederberg som är en musikprofil på Sveriges Radio sedan 1994. Micke föddes med musikintresset i blodet och har alltid brunnit för musik. Hitlistor har alltid legat honom extra varmt om hjärtat. Han har dessutom jobbat som DJ vid sidan om sitt ordinarie jobb ända sedan 1981.

Im Oktober 1993 führten zwei Songs die deutschen Charts an, die auch auf der Bravo Hits 5 vertreten sind. "What's Up" von den 4 Non Blondes und "Living On My Own" vom damals schon verstorbenen Freddie Mercury. Diese beiden Songs sind auch die Anker auf dieser Doppel-CD, die erstmals in eine "Dance-Disc" und eine "Universal-Disc" eingeteilt ist. Die erste CD stellt Andreas vor. "Folgesingles" von Culture Beat und U96 waren dabei, auch die Fantastischen 4 waren zum fünften Mal bei fünf Bravo Hits wieder vertreten. Wenn auch dieses Mal versteckt in der Combo "Die Deutsche Reimachse". Über Sven Väth geraten Jenni und Andreas im Verlaufe des Podcasts aber beinahe in Streit. Auf der CD2, durch die Jenni führt, sind diverse Songs vertreten, die die 90er prägten. Die 4 Non Blondes wurden schon angesprochen, aber auch "Runaway Train" von Soul Asylum oder "Alles aus Liebe" von den Toten Hosen gehören dazu. Andreas und Jenni küren natürlich auch in dieser Ausgabe wieder die aus ihrer Sicht am besten gealterten Songs. Diese Songs könnt ihr auch noch mal in der Spotify-Playlist nachhören. Wir haben einen Fehler eingebaut: Es war nicht Kevin Federline, sondern Jason Alexander, der nur wenige Stunden mit Britney Spears verheiratet war.
