"How I've had success in life, for me, it's really about understanding our brains. There are three core things that, in my mind, are the things that affect success, happiness, everything. You have your conscious mind, this is the stuff that I choose, I choose this goal, I want this thing. Then there's another part of your mind where fear is based out of. Fear is there to protect us, and it's interesting, when a baby is born, there are only two fears, loud noises and the fear of falling. And then over time, they learn more fears. In the new book I break it down into two, fears of the body and fears of the ego. The fears of the ego is the stuff that messes us up, we have this ego that makes us go like "what if they don't like me?" or "what if I'm not enough?". For most of us, we consciously decide "I wanna have success" but then the fear is so heavy, you can't turn it off. And so, it's about understanding how that works and how do we learn how to turn off these fears. These fears are irrational, they're not real" Over the past 19 years, Russell Brunson has built a following of over a million entrepreneurs, sold hundreds of thousands of copies of his books (making him a New York Times Bestselling Author), popularized the concept of sales funnels, and co-founded the software company called ClickFunnels that helps tens of thousands of entrepreneurs quickly get their message out to the marketplace. So, when it comes to growing your business, there are two schools of thought on competition. Some say, "Ignore it and focus on your lane." There's wisdom in that, but I'm in the second camp: pay attention and learn from your competitors. Dive into their ecosystem...buy their products, sign up for emails, analyze their strategies. This isn't about copying; it's about gaining inspiration and making informed decisions. Just be careful not to mimic blindly. Instead, adapt and test ideas within your context. In this episode, Mark Burik and Travis Mewhirter discuss the transition from playing to coaching in beach volleyball. They explore the challenges and rewards of coaching, including the importance of building trust and effective communication with athletes. They also discuss the use of constraint training and creative problem-solving in coaching. The conversation extends beyond the realm of sports, as they explore how coaching techniques can be applied to personal relationships. They emphasize the value of understanding each other's needs and using strategic advice and support to improve relationships. The episode concludes with a discussion on supporting and coaching coaches, and the road to success in coaching. In this conversation, Travis Mewhirter discusses the ranking and performance of the Try and Came team in the Olympic race. He highlights the importance of breaking through the quarterfinals and the team's consistency in making it to that stage. Travis also shares insights on the qualification process for the Olympics and the points threshold needed to qualify. He emphasizes the role of confidence and mental chemistry in the team's success and the challenges of coaching and parenting. Travis discusses the influence of commentating on his coaching approach and the value of mindset and strategy in coaching. He concludes with a call to action for listeners to support the podcast and coaching programs. Takeaways Building trust and effective communication are key in coaching relationships. Understanding different athlete personalities and needs is crucial for effective coaching. Creative problem-solving and constraint training can be valuable coaching techniques. Coaching skills can be applied to personal relationships to improve communication and understanding. Supporting and coaching coaches is important for the development and success of the sport. Breaking through the quarterfinals is crucial for the Try and Came team to improve their ranking in the Olympic race. Consistency in making the quarterfinals is a strength of the Try and Came team, but they need to win more quarterfinal matches to advance further. Qualifying for the Olympics requires accumulating points through top finishes and aiming for a threshold of around 7,000 points. Confidence and mental chemistry are key factors for the success of the Try and Came team. Coaching requires working harder and dedicating more attention to the game compared to being a player. The transition from player to coach can be facilitated by the skills and knowledge gained from commentating and analyzing matches. Short serving is an effective strategy in beach volleyball, and players should focus on specific areas to dig instead of trying to touch every ball. Mindset and strategy are important strengths for Travis Mewhirter as a coach. Coaches can provide valuable insights and guidance by asking the right questions and helping players find solutions on their own. So, this is something that I think is important because you've heard me talk before about the four reasons: fulfillment, freedom, contribution, and support. Entrepreneurs, we want freedom. And so let's talk about a declaration of independence for property management entrepreneurs. So, I actually have been really having fun playing around with chat GPT and I gave it a bunch of info of how we kind of do things and our philosophy and I had it create a Declaration of Independence. So this should be interesting. So we can go through some of this and we can chat about some of these ideas. And does that sound good? All right. [00:02:34] Sarah: Well, I guess so because that's what we're doing. [00:02:36] Jason: Alright. This is what we're doing. She had no clue. She just walked in here. No, and I'm like, this is what we're talking about. [00:02:42] Sarah: I just show up. [00:02:44] Jason: She just shows up. Yeah. because she can do that. All right, cool. So, declaration of Independence for property management entrepreneurs. "In the spirit of entrepreneurial growth, the pursuit of freedom in the property management industry." We need to queue up like some patriotic music. [00:03:02] Maybe. I'm just kidding, Madi, maybe you'll add that. [00:03:05] "We, the United Community of Property Management entrepreneurs solemnly declare our independence from the constraints, inefficiencies, and setbacks that have bound us for too long. We assert our dedication to a brighter, more prosperous, and thriving future." [00:03:20] "Article one, liberation from Limiting Beliefs." So one of the number one things before I read it. One of the number one things clients say that they get from us is mindset. It's just mindset shifts. because that changes everything of how they do things, how their business runs. All right, this is what it says. [00:03:37] "We vow to liberate ourselves from self-limiting beliefs that hinder innovation and growth. We pledge to foster a growth mindset and no longer allow the words, 'I can't,' or 'it's not possible' to define our reality." So, what have you noticed about limiting beliefs with clients? [00:03:55] Sarah: Well, I think whatever you think is possible is exactly what is possible. So if you think like, "oh, I can't do it that way," or "This won't work," or like, "oh, my team can't do this," or " I don't have the right tools," then you're absolutely right and it won't happen the way that you want it to or the way that it could. I think some of the biggest shifts I've seen in clients is when they open their mind to different possibilities and when they start to do things just a little differently. [00:04:27] Jason: So most of our clients are pretty good at believing in us. I think we've gotten really good at convincing them through the sales process and once they get on board, we've got plenty, tons of case studies. But occasionally we get a client that comes in and they are skeptical about everything and maybe somehow they missed all the details during the onboarding and the sales process, and they don't believe. They have these limiting beliefs, "this stuff won't work." What do we notice in terms of results between those shitty clients and everyone else? [00:05:00] Sarah: Well, first, I don't think it's fair to call them shitty clients. [00:05:03] Jason: Okay. Maybe we don't. Shitty mindset clients. [00:05:05] Yeah. I think it's fair to say [00:05:06] Sarah: like, "Hey, your mindset is shitty." Yeah. And I get that like my mindset used to be completely different. Totally different. Like I grew up in a place , where. Anybody that was making a million dollars a year, like I just didn't know it. Like, I was like, "oh, like, Hollywood. That's like what happens there, like when you're famous and you're like, this is just what happens out there. Or like, maybe big cities but not here. And because they didn't have any kind of example or anything tangible to say like, "Hey, they did it so I can do it." I just didn't believe that it was possible. And when I got out of that area, and now I'm in an area where it's very entrepreneurial based and business friendly and people just have a different kind of thought process around here, and we spend a lot of time with people who they're elevated in their thinking. And now I'm like, "yeah, it's a hundred percent possible." Absolutely possible. So I think first is if you have a shitty mindset, just know it will hold you back and you will only accomplish what you believe you can accomplish. So if you think, "oh yeah, none of this stuff is going to work for me," and we've heard it all, like, "oh, my market is different," or like, "my team won't do that," or like, "oh yeah, my clients will never go for that," or like, "my tenants are different. My properties are different." And like all of the reasons, what they're doing is they're like giving us all of the reasons why it's not going to work for them. And they're correct on every single reason. [00:06:39] If you say, "oh, it won't work because of this and this and this." You are right. What we need to do is like change your mindset to believe like, "Hey, this can work for me and it can work in my market and it can work with my team and it can work with my clients and it might mean that I need to make some shifts. It's not just going to be, "oh, I believe it and now it's true." we need to make a couple shifts and it can be true, but if you believe that you have the knowledge and the ability and the resources to be able to figure out how to make the shifts that you need to have the business that you want and run it the way that you want, then it's absolutely possible. [00:07:18] Jason: Okay, so some clients come to us. We have quite a few actually, that they don't believe in themselves. And one of the things-- this is a confession on my part-- one of the things that I failed with clients in the past, because I couldn't see this-- is that sometimes clients come to us and they're lacking hope. They don't have belief in themselves, and my mindset at the time was, "well just do the stuff and you'll see that it works". And the clients that would do it, they would get results and it would work, and some clients just wouldn't put in effort. They'd say they did, but they would blame us and like stuff like this, and they don't realize it takes like three months to get something really well dialed in. So they'd try it for like a couple days. Right. So I think one of the things that I've realized since from some of my coaches and mentors is that, we as coaches get to believe and provide hope and faith into our clients that are lacking it. [00:08:16] And so I think we're much better now at helping clients that lack that mindset and lack that belief and have limiting beliefs in themselves or even in like the strategies. If we give them enough belief, they still start to get results and that belief it rubs off on them. And so instead of blaming clients, I now take accountability more and say, "all right, I'm not giving them enough belief. I need to be more in their corner. I need to believe in them more." And I see them energetically change real time while on a Zoom call with them, like I just start feeding them belief like, "somebody else did this. You can do this too. They're not more special than you. They're not more charismatic. They're not better looking than you. They're not smarter than you. You know how to do property management. If they can do this stuff, you can do it too." I believe that I believe in them. And then they start to go, "wait, maybe he's right. Maybe I can do this." And then it starts to help their belief. [00:09:16] And so I think if you have limiting beliefs, one of the best ways to get liberated from it is to just be around somebody that doesn't hold those same limiting beliefs for you. They believe in you. They believe in you. Do you believe in me? [00:09:27] Sarah: Yeah. Of course. I believe in you. [00:09:29] Jason: Sarah believes in me. I believe in her. Do you feel like I believe in you? Yeah. Yeah. So, and that creates momentum. That creates momentum. All right, let's go to the next one. Article two, autonomy from Bad Clients. "We assert our right to work with clients who respect and value our expertise. We shall not allow our business to be dominated by clients who undermine our values, ethics, or the standards of service we strive to provide." [00:09:58] So this goes along with our concept I, this of the cycle of suck and not taking on bad clients, which-- [00:10:04] Sarah: we should give this to our clients. And just like-- [00:10:06] Jason: have them sign it? Yeah. [00:10:07] Sarah: This is your new declaration. We're doing it. [00:10:10] Jason: ChatGPT is really good if you give it good data, like garbage in, garbage out. Right? I know. So, yeah, I gave it our whole client avatar document. I gave it our DoorGrowShow manifesto. I gave it our client-centric mission statement, and then they give it all that and this is what it came up with. So it's pretty cool. Pretty good. So yeah, I think this is involved with, our previous episodes where we talked about the cycle of suck or not taking on bad clients, but yeah, you deserve, you have the right to choose who you work with that value, your expertise. Why would you tolerate anything less? This is your business. You can build it however you want. You can build it full of a bunch of clients that don't value you, or you can build it full of clients that share your values, your ethics, your standards, want you to be able to do your best job and are willing to pay you for it. Anything else we should say about that? [00:11:03] Sarah: I think we covered this a lot in our program, but what's really nice is to see when clients start to make that shift for themselves. Like we've had a few clients say like, and it was very clear to me that this is not the client that I wanted to work with. So like, sometimes they turn it down, sometimes they just know like, Hey, if I get the deal then, I'll consider taking it on if it seems to be a decent enough fit. But like, this is not my ideal client, so I'm really just not going to put a lot of time and energy into this because I can see like, this is just not what I'm looking for. [00:11:38] Jason: Autonomy from bad clients. I mean, really there's few things that will steal more of your sense of autonomy and freedom than bad clients. I mean, that's a real strong thief, so you deserve freedom from that. Declare your independence from bad clients. [00:11:54] All right, article number three, emancipation from inefficient processes. "We declare to free ourselves from inefficient, archaic, and time consuming processes. We will actively seek, implement, and embrace technology and systems that streamline our operations, enhance productivity, and allow us to serve our clients better." [00:12:16] Sarah: Like that. These are these shifts. We got to make some shifts. If you're expecting your business to just change overnight and without really changing anything in it, then it's like, the definition of insanity. Like we're doing the same thing over and over, but we're expecting different results. [00:12:35] Jason: Yeah. We've got a lot of software tools and tech that we use with clients to facilitate them having a greater sense of freedom and emancipation from inefficient processes. So yeah, technology can help with that. Okay. [00:12:52] Sarah: Well, so can a great team though. Yes. Not everything needs to be technology because I've seen property management companies that they're like," we just rely on technology," and like humans are very rarely involved and it just doesn't work the way that they want it to work. [00:13:07] Jason: Systems, right? Systems. Yeah. Building systems. Okay. [00:13:12] Article four, Roman numeral iv. Okay. Freedom of Experimentation. "We recognize our freedom to experiment with new approaches and marketing strategies. We will not be shackled by "this is how it's always been done," shall embrace the diverse, evolving landscape of our industry." So I think innovation is a big part of what we focus on at DoorGrow. We're always like adding new things and coming up with new ideas and pulling in the best ideas from our clients that are also working towards innovating and making a difference. And I think innovation comes from. Innovation. And so as our clients are doing these new ideas and these new things, they're seeing little ways to improve. because that's what entrepreneurs do. Like, Hey, we could do this, we could do that. And so, and us sitting on top with a bird's eye view of all these clients that are doing all of these things that we've helped to bring to the industry or to innovate, they're also helping us to make this better for everybody else as well. [00:14:16] And so this innovation incubation system that we've created at DoorGrow is pretty powerful, I think. So, I mean, just some of the ideas that some of our clients have presented at some of our conferences have been pretty awesome, so, yeah. All right. Yeah. Anything else about that? [00:14:32] Sarah: I think the only other thing I would add is like, the way that we implement things in our business. because we just move so fast. Yeah. Like Jason and I, we don't like to waste time. We don't, him and haw, we're not like, oh, is this the right decision? Like, what do we do? I don't know. Let's take like four months and figure it out. We see something, we make a change and we're like, let's just do it. And if it's the wrong thing, then we'll undo it because we'll see it very quickly. But we take action really quickly. We just went through our annual planning and from just one year. Our business is completely different. Like our model is different, our coaching is different, like what we offer is different. [00:15:10] Totally. Like literally every piece of it is completely different. It was like we took our old business model and we just blew it up and we were like, Hey, how can we make this like 20 times better? Yeah. And we did it. And we did it all in less than one year. So it was so funny because when we were going through, we start off with wins, we're like, Hey, what wins do we have from the last year? And it was like, we had so many wins. Like, it's like hard to even think like, Hey, remember a year ago when our business was like this? So what's nice about that is we get to pull up like what the business looked like last year in the system. We were like, oh yeah, we totally forgot because it was so long ago to us. We're like, oh God, I like totally forgot it used to be like that. We used to do things like this, and these are all of the things that we changed or improved or added in order to make things that much better. And I think just being able to like add a new piece or do things a little bit differently is something that sometimes doesn't feel super comfortable for people because they're so worried about like, is this the right decision? [00:16:14] And it might not be. It might not be the right decision, but the inaction will keep you like tethered to the ground for a really long time. So if we just worry all the time like, oh, I don't want to do it because I just don't know if it's the right thing, you are never going to know if it's the right thing. Unfortunately, like no one makes a crystal ball yet. We don't have like the answer to predict the future at this point in time. So sometimes you just have to make the leap and guess and know that if you make the leap and it's the wrong one, we can always change it because your business should be this like ever evolving, ever changing thing. It shouldn't be like this stagnant old like pond, with like murky water that never gets any movement. [00:17:00] Jason: So, I think one of the things that has facilitated the speed and the innovation and the experimentation, which is the Article four that we're talking about, is DoorGrow OS, like having this really strong planning system, which you mentioned we just did annual, quarterly, monthly, and weekly planning. We did it all in a week. It was like planning week. So this planning system, really, and not all technology is software. Not all technology is software. This is a piece of technology, which there is a software aspect to it, but really the technology of this is this system that of planning that we're able to create this cadence of momentum in the business that gets everyone on the team moving it forward. [00:17:51] It's probably the most important system we have in our business. It creates our culture, it creates our business, it creates our results. It creates an immense amount of speed. No one can keep up with the level of changes like Sarah's saying, if you worked with DoorGrow in the past, like three years ago, or even one year ago. Even one year ago. [00:18:10] Sarah: If you were a client with us like one year ago, yeah, you have no, is not, you have no idea what DoorGrow is now because it's just so different. [00:18:18] Jason: This is like a newer. Way more improved company and clients that worked with us maybe five years ago or maybe even 10 years ago. They have no clue what DoorGrow is even about or what we do anymore. It's even one year ago transformed so much one year in what we do. It's like, so it's so very different. Totally. [00:18:36] Sarah: One year ago we had one program that was it. Like we had one program and we had like a baby scale program with like a little bit in it. But it's really flourished. So now we have like three different three different programs and like so many things that are available that we just didn't, we didn't have at all before. [00:18:57] Jason: Now you said we don't have a crystal ball, but if there was something that was as close as you could get to a crystal ball, it would be having a planning system like DoorGrow OS because we are creating the future. We map it out and there's a super high likelihood we're going to achieve it because of how it's all broken down. And it creates predictable results. Like we consistently are able to scale our revenue, scale our programs, and get the things done that we want to do at a really high pace. And we're able to create predictable results we can, we create and see the future. A of entrepreneurs have a vision of the future and they try and throw that vision to their team, like a grenade with a pin pulled. And the team are like, what? What? Okay. Sure. And then they teach. A lot of entrepreneurs don't have a good system like this, and so they teach their team to lose. [00:19:44] They're like, Hey, we're going to hit this great goal this month, and then they don't. And they're teaching their team to be comfortable with losing, and they get more and more comfortable with failure. Our team's pretty comfortable with winning, right? Yeah. Like if we don't hit an objective, something major happened. Like painful. Yeah. Something major happened. Yeah. And so our team are used to winning and we win early. We set goals and we hit them usually early. Is the goal. DoorGrowOS is one of the systems we in help clients install. This planning system better than EOS, better than traction, better than whatever else you've, like, experimented with. You'll get far bigger results from your team and you'll get a lot more momentum and money. [00:20:26] All right, so let's go to article number five. Article five. Independence through Education and Collaboration. This is something we are a big part of that we believe in. [00:20:37] "We commit to continual learning and collaboration, understanding that our strength lies in the collective wisdom of our community. We pledge to share insights, strategies, and experiences with our fellow property management entrepreneurs for the greater good of the industry." [00:20:54] A lot of people are worried about the competition and they don't want to share their ideas. Yes. And how small is their thinking? [00:21:01] Sarah: Oh yeah, I know. There was somebody just yesterday that said, "oh my God, like, this is such an amazing program. And like I, I've been part of multiple coaching programs on the real estate side and this blows all of those out of the water. Obviously we're focused on property management, but he's like, this blows all of this out of the water." And he is like, "I just hope that my competitors don't find out about this and start using you guys because that would be really bad for me." And like, I get it. I do, I understand it. Because-- [00:21:30] Jason: this is a new client. [00:21:32] Sarah: Yes. Yeah, he's newer. They'll figure it out. Yeah. He's newer. So I get it because I used to think that too, like, oh God. Like it's like that we have to have like this abundance mindset, like a, there's always enough to go around. And b, we say it like a rising tide raises all ships. So if you are like, oh, I can't, like, I can't tell my secrets to my competitors. [00:21:55] I must keep everything like you, I'm not telling you anything that you do. I, and I used to be, I used to be like that. So I, I do understand it because I used to be like, I'm not telling anybody what I do. Like you do what you do and I'm justgoing to do what I do, and you don't need to worry about what I'm doing over here. And I've gotten out of that just because. My mindset has changed. And I realize there's so much more than like our brains can even fathom. If you think, hey, like I can make, a hundred thousand dollars a year and this is what my business can look like, there's more to be had and there's always more like to go around. If you're like, Hey, I know I can do a hundred thousand. I feel like I'm in the mindset where I could do two 50 or 500 or a million dollars a year. I can have multiple locations. Like I can just keep acquiring businesses. I can grow and grow. with a client this week that has 1300 doors. Let's pause there for a second, because a lot of times, 1300 doors is really hard to even get to, and most property managers don't even reach that level. And he's at 1300 doors and he goes, I haven't even like made a dent. Like I haven't, I'm just a drop in the bucket. Of where I want to go and where I want to be. Why is that? Because his mindset is open. Like he's opened his mind to realize there is, there's more if we think of it like this, like, hey, You are just like this tiny little pinpoint on the map because when we expand out, it's like, here's me and my business. [00:23:26] But if we expand out, you are in an entire like city. We expand out more. You're in an entire state. We expand out more. You're in an entire country. We expand out more like we're in an entire planet. If we just keep going and going, like, the universe is just so infinite. And if you're, sometimes it's just so hard to conceptualize because your brain is like this is what I'm doing and like, this is what I can see, touch, and feel around me. [00:23:53] But if you, once you realize like, Hey, there is always, there's always more. You're not going to worry about what your competitors do. Not at all. You're not even going to be concerned. Like, I don't really care what Johnny's doing down the street. He could do all of the same things that I do, and I'm just not worried about it because I know that there's so much abundance to go around that I'm, I don't care what he is doing. [00:24:17] Jason: So when your vision is small, you see the competition. When your vision's bigger, you see a lot more opportunity. And we really try and push the idea mindset wise and with our clients and here on the podcast, collaboration over competition, right? When we get our clients collaborating, like we just talked about before, innovation starts to happen, the whole industry can move forward. [00:24:42] Two thirds are self-managing, there's like 70% or so that are self-managing. There's no scarcity in this industry. If you feel like there's scarcity. And it's because you're playing a game that is not very winnable. You're probably doing the wrong things to try and grow. If it feels scarce, get with us and we'll help you see bigger opportunities. [00:25:02] So once we get clients in our system and they're focused on adding doors, and they start adding doors, and they start to do this in the blue ocean, instead of doing it in the red, ugly bloody water through SEO or pay per click or content marketing or social media marketing or pay per lead services. They realize there's plenty of business. It's not hard to grow, and they become completely like, like, it's like not even paying attention to, or not even caring about their competition. Yeah. They're like, they're so busy adding doors and making money and trying to get their own stuff together to be able to handle the growth. [00:25:37] They're not even paying attention anymore to the competition. [00:25:40] Sarah: Exactly. Like Mike with a 1300 doors seat, like no. Never ever at that, like at any point in our conversation did he say like, oh, but I'm like, I can't do this because this person. Never, like he, he's worried about what he's doing. He is like on this one track, and he is like, this is my mission and this is what I need to do and this is where I'm going. And I don't care about anything else. Like, I don't care about anything else around me when, like, they put blinders on the horse, right? We've got to put our blinders on and just run towards that goal as fast as we can. You don't care about what's going on over here or over here. You just get to the point where it's completely insignificant. [00:26:21] Even our smallest clients, once they get into momentum of growth and they see how easy growth can be, I mean, it takes work, but once they see that it's super doable and it's repeatable and they're adding doors like crazy, that goes away. Like I think there's always a competitive nature in our clients, and I like to leverage that in the beginning. So I, in some of my content in trainings, I'm like, Hey, if you want to crush your competition, do this or do it this way, or do this. And that brings out that competitive entrepreneurial side of themselves. But once they start getting into it, our challenge sometimes might be with some clients they like lose the drive because they start to see this is not so hard. [00:26:58] But hopefully they get inspired and excited to like, take things to the next level. Right. Okay. [00:27:03] I don't think they so much lose drive. I think it's just that it's shifted. It's a like you versus me. Versus like, I'm just doing what I'm doing. It's me versus me now. And that, like, that's happened with me in my business a couple times where like I'm like, oh, it's me versus my competition. [00:27:21] Like it's me versus that guy down the street. It's me versus like every other like management company and my area. And it's not, it's only me versus me. I have to outdo what I did yesterday or last year or last month. Like it's it just changes because you start playing a game with yourself instead of trying to worry about like, I'm, I've got to beat you. [00:27:44] Jason: Well, your power and achievement. So this all makes a lot of sense, hearing how you think, but some of our clients are not, and like one of our clients like Mark and Brandon, they had gotten to a point, they'd been adding doors and then they got comfortable and they were like, and I think what happens is they had this big goal to like leave their day jobs and get a bunch of doors and they did that and then they were like, well, then they lost a little bit of steam. So I think what happens with a lot of entrepreneurs is we have this away motivator. Like we're trying to get away from something. We want to get away from a job we don't like, or we want to get away from scarcity or starving or whatever. Right? We have this, we're trying to run away from this saber tooth tiger that's chasing after us each month, and then we have to shift towards some sort of toward motivator. [00:28:31] So with them in my coaching call, I had to like help them identify what is? We talked about their why, which is their personal why, which is something that we get into deeply with clients and each of their, what they want. And how do we connect their why to the business now? Like what do they want more of or what do they want to move towards? And so that kind of lit them up again. And so we have to find that toward motivator. And we've gotten off track the education and collaboration, but, all right, but that's the idea. All right, so let's go to Article six vi. All right. Allegiance to our core values. "We affirm our allegiance to the core values that guide our business. We will strive to uphold integrity, transparency, excellence, and client centricity in all our operations, and we shall not waver in times of adversity." I love the shalls. All right, so we're big on core values. We help our clients define their core values. We even took a look at our individual values and then figured out what should they be for the business and took a fresh look. [00:29:41] And they were, we had a lot of alignment and we didn't really change much, I don't think we changed any, anything on the company core values. [00:29:49] Sarah: No. We added like one, one sentence. Yeah. But I think mine, if I were to add one is just. Do whatever it takes. Right? Do whatever it takes. Like we have a do whatever it takes mindset and if that means you have to come out of your comfort zone, you come out of your comfort zone. That means you have to make phone calls? You make phone calls. Yeah. If that means you have to, do whatever. It's like ethically, of course. But if you have to do things that don't. Seem fun or like, these are not my normal job duties. [00:30:20] Well, that's okay. Like, we're going to, we're going to do it because that's what we need in the business. [00:30:26] Jason: So I think it's important for property managers to be really clear on their values. So, so you, as an entrepreneur, if you're listening to this, you need to be very clear on your values. Not like 10 values or 20 values or infinite values. You need to figure out what are your, like top three maybe four values that if everybody on your team believed these, they would be great team members. They would fit you. And that's something we help clients work on. But I think it's super important to have values in the business because it that's the how you go about doing everything in the business. [00:31:02] And if you're worried about how your team members are going to do things, it's because they don't share your values. You can work all day on the whats. You can define every process and try to micromanage, but you cannot control how you need people that fit your culture. You cannot create that in them. You have to find the right people that have the right culture and the right values. Values come from mom and dad, God, religion, whatever, right? DNA, I don't know, genetics, but people have their values somewhat hardwired, and you're not going to really move the needle on their values. So you got to find people that fit them [00:31:36] All right article, what are we up to? Six. Seven. Seven, okay. Article seven. All right. Pursuit of holistic success. [00:31:47] "We vow to pursue not just financial success. But the overall wellbeing and fulfillment in our personal and professional lives. We will commit to creating balance that nurtures our personal growth relationships and contributions to society." [00:32:03] All right. It's pretty good. So a holistic success. I mean, this really is I've never, I don't know, like. I used to like tag myself on Facebook when I would create a post, that'd say, holistic business coach or something like this. Because that's the idea. Holistic means it encompasses our personal life, our business, and that's why in our podcast intro it says " and our mission at DoorGrow is to transform property management, business owners and their businesses." So we have a strong holistic approach. [00:32:34] Sarah: Yeah. For sure. I was it Ed Mylet that said it at Funnel Hacking Live last year? It might have been Ed Mylet. I'm going to have to look it up. Sorry Ed, if it was not you. So I think he said if the game for you is making money, if you're just in this to make money and that's all you care about, you are not going to make very much of it. You just won't because that's the only thing you're focused on and you don't care about anything else. But if instead, oh, it might have been Russell Brunson. Oh God, I owe one of them an apology. [00:33:03] Jason: We heard it. We heard it at Funnel Hacking Live Conference. It was Funnel Hacking live at conference. So I can tell you that for sure. So, and it was either Ed Millet or Russell Brunson. I can tell you that too. They probably both said something similar. [00:33:13] Sarah: So credit to both. But if you're only focused on making money, you're not going to make very much of it. You won't be very successful. However, if your focus is on helping people. Now you're going to be successful and you'll make a whole bunch of money. So if money is the thing that you're after, it's just going to feel like really hard. [00:33:34] It's going to be really, really draining for you. But if we're focused on like, Hey, how can I, primarily, first and foremost, how can I help people? That's the thing that's going to unlock all of the money for you. [00:33:47] Jason: This is where your business mission becomes client-centric. This is where it becomes outward focused and our personal why should be outward focused as well, right? This is where we start to have that impact, but everybody wants to have some sort of different impact. We're all unique, so I think it's important to discover that. We talk about the four reasons, like moving towards more greater fulfillment, freedom, contribution, and support is why we have a business as motivators, and if you're moving towards that and you're committed to creating a balance in your business and personal life and personal growth and relationships and contributions to society, right, then you're going to have a much more profitable business. You're going to enjoy it more. Your team are going to be more inspired to work for you and be part of this vision and this mission. [00:34:39] So I like this article. It's a good one. That's the last one. So this ends this way. "Let this declaration serve as a compass that guides our actions, decisions, and collaborations with resolve and unity. Let us forge a path that transforms not just our own lives, but the entire property management industry for the betterment of the communities we serve. Signed your name and all fellow DoorGrow Hackers." All right. So I like that. Yeah, we're using that. That's pretty good. We're going to keep that. Maybe we'll post that somewhere. Yeah. All right. And that's basically it. Anything else we should add? I mean, we want, we all want more freedom and there's probably something that you feel like right now is holding you back. [00:35:22] You don't feel free. You wake up in the morning and maybe you don't feel like you are excited to go to work or excited to take that next phone call or excited to do property management. You may not feel a sense of freedom right now. You may not even think it's possible in that industry, so I promise you it is absolutely possible. We've helped lots of clients do this, and it can happen a lot faster than you realize as well. So you can have freedom and you can have freedom from bad clients. You can have freedom from bad deals. You can have freedom from bad phone calls. You can have freedom from bad team members. You can have freedom from all the bad stuff that you want to have freedom from. [00:36:02] So, all right, what should people do? Let's give them a call to action. [00:36:07] Sarah: Well, I think the easiest thing to do is work with a great coach. Might be us, might be somebody else. I'm a bit biased. [00:36:16] Jason: It should be us and you should reach out to DoorGrow. Go to DoorGrow.com and join our Facebook group, which you can get to at... [00:36:25] Sarah: I don't know. [00:36:25] Jason: DoorGrowClub.com. doorgrowclub.com. We're going to convince you to believe in yourself and we're going to convince you to also believe in DoorGrow. I know when I'm going through some breakthroughs. Most of the time, it is waking up in the wee hours and mulling over things. So, about a year ago, Russell and I talked about the kind of continuity he sees me doing. He pitched in about starting a newsletter where I could be teaching stuff. Surprisingly, it tied up with a course I made about three years ago. It wasn't selling big, but that's basically the framework that built my businesses. All of these good pieces have been sitting on my feet, but it was not until last night that it all clicked. I was finally able to fit the puzzle pieces all together. But revelations or breakthroughs like this are not like walking up to a light switch and turning it on. You often discover a detailed piece of your future offer on a random day. I'll take itMischa Zvegintzov right. Well, you're always you're always very stylish when? Whenever we meet in person, right, whatever event we happen to meet at. Yeah, IDamon Burton think the first one was Mexico, right?Mischa Zvegintzov Correct, correct. Yes, masterminded paradise, Russell Brunson mastermind in paradise. Yeah. And I believe you might have just joined Russell's inner circle that might have been your first sort of interaction throughDamon Burton the that the mastermind was in March, and I had joined in September. So I'd been in it for however many five months, whatever that is. Yeah.Mischa Zvegintzov I was gonna give you a better introduction, but we'll still get to that. But while it's on the top of my mind, it was really cool. Because well, one thing about you is that you're always leading with value and service, like always, and it's really awesome. And I really appreciate that. And love that about you. Yeah, but right away, you got to give a presentation about your SEO skill set, right? They like Russell Had you given a presentation, and then he shared it across all channels, right about your skills, you might remember,Damon Burton around inner circle, well wasn't it wasn't Russell directly, but it was through inner circle. So through inner circle for the listeners that might not be familiar with inner circle. So Russell Brunson runs Click Funnels, he has his own little private mastermind. And in that group, part of it is, you know, it's a real value added, there's so many things we could talk about, like how I got into inner circle and how that turns into story.Damon Burton You know, even let's it let's just start with the price filter right on, on inner circle. So like you as what you the listener, whatever product or service you offer. Pricing matters. And so we all know, we've all heard, raise your prices, raise your prices. But what was really interesting about joining inner circle, I'll give you the abbreviated story to get to the point about pricing. I've run an SEO agency for 15 years never spent $1 on ads. And so I've been thinking, Okay, if I've accomplished this much without ads, what if I layered lead generation on it, I don't even do any lead generation, which is ironic for running a marketing company. So the way that I get leads is like you said, like value first and build up this reputation. So I come into Funnel Hacking Live, which is Russell and Click Funnels annual event. And I had a good friend of mine who was kind of deep in Russell's world. And I tagged along with him at Funnel Hacking, FHL, and he could go every I would, I could go everywhere he could, except for this invisible line, like there was this like early access area that he could go and I couldn't. And the first couple of times, like, whatever, it's not that big of a deal, like I didn't want the bagel I didn't want you know, that stuff. I just wanted to hang out my friends. And so he kept going back there enough over the course of a couple of days. That that it, it made me mad. And so I went up to the little security person, I said, Hey, I don't want anything for free. Like I'm willing to pay, Can Can I upgrade my wristband or something and get back there. And in my mind, I'm thinking, I'm willing to pay $1,000 for a blue wristband instead of red, like, that's all it is. And so they're, they're like, oh, I don't know. So go talk to go talk to the check in counter and I go talk to the check in counter. And they said the opposite. They're like, No, you can't do that. That's only for people that are in coaching, or award winners. And they said, All right, what's the coaching? And they said, Oh, I didn't expect anybody to ask, let's call Robbie. And I'm like, Who the hell is Robbie? And so for those of you that aren't in this world, Robbie is kind of like the gatekeeper to the ascension in in Click Funnels inner circle, like getting up to the higher level masterminds. And he comes around and he and I tell him what's going on. I said, my friends back there, I just want to hang out my friends it can I pay? And he says the same thing. And he says, No, he can't pay to get backwards for coaching clients or award winners. You asked me the same thing. Are you interested in coaching? And I said, not really. And he says, What about a mastermind? And I said, maybe, and he goes, alright, here's the deal. You know, you have to accomplish this much. You have to do at least a million in sales annually. You have to do this and this and this. And it's $50,000. And I'm like, What the hell? How did I just go from $1,000 to $50,000. But then then I got thinking it. That's why I was there was to force myself into that world. And I thought, well, that's that maybe this is the opportunity why I'm here. Maybe this is the thing that I'm looking for to force myself and accelerate that path. So I told them, let's do it. So I went from nothing to $50,000 within like a 92nd conversation Now there was more to it, like I had to verify income and my friend walked by, and he had to vouch for me and things like that. But coming back to the topic about pricing, and why it's valuable to raise your prices, why it's valuable to pay for access. What I realized is what I've since learned is how much of a great quality filter $50,000 is. Because the only people that are willing to pay $50,000 for something are a somebody that's found success, and has that money available to invest it in something like that, and be somebody that's serious, because they may have one or the other. But unless you have both, it's not the same caliber of person. So then we get into inner circle. And you mentioned the value in this and that andDamon Burton the way that the people lead in that group is very different than other groups. So when you first get into business, you go to these local networking groups, and they have their place and things like that. But I avoided them for a long time, because it wasn't the caliber of people that I needed in my life. And being able to come into a group like this, which everybody gives everybody gives everybody's appreciative. It's been really cool. So what had happened is, you know, largely, the people in this group are paid ads first. And I'm the organic guy. And so I thought, why don't want to vomit a bunch of search engine marketing on them. So how do I take something I know and translate it to be applicable in their paid ad world. And so I ended up talking about PageSpeed, and user experience, how you can take the strategies from SEO about improving a mobile friendly your website is how quickly it loads and how user friendly it is. And how if you apply that to your paid ads and your funnels, it will lower your cost per click, which will lower your cost per lead. And we had two people that implemented it. Right after I presented it and one of them dropped their cost per lead from $8, down to $4. And all they it took them 20 minutes to improve their PageSpeed was all it was, they'd spent 10s of 1000s of dollars on changing their copywriting changing their call to action, changing their value proposition, changing the design, changing the colors, none of it worked, but 20 minutes on improving the PageSpeed did and we had another lady that dropped her cost per lead from I can't remember exactly, I think was like 27 bucks down to 12 bucks. And then we just got to we're just together with inner circle last week, I shared the same story. And it started like this mini movement. So now every time we have an opportunity, you know, inner circle kind of re up this year. And so there's new people in there. And so I shared the same thing with them. And it's really cool to see that people just actually just before we hit record, I had people messaging me and saying, Hey, can you walk that through through with me? How I can apply that specifically to my page? So back to your comment. That's how it got out there was I was like, Hey, here's some value for you that had a big impact. Other people shared it, and then it just kind of caught on and on and on. And that's how it kind of filtered out through the community.Mischa Zvegintzov Yeah, that's amazing. And so was there two bits to improving the Page Speed? Or did you do that? Did IDamon Burton two strategies? Yeah, the two strategies are, I'll try and explain this verbally, since I can't communicate it on screen. So basically, it's images and videos are the two easiest things on to improving a page load on funnels and pages in general. So with images, there's two subsections, to that. So one is make sure your image is the actual display size. So what I mean by that is a lot of times we'll go to upload, let's say a logo, or in your case, a picture next to a testimonial. And so we we embed it on the website, and it's on the screen, it's two inches by two inches, it's a couple 100 pixels by a couple 100 pixels. But what we did is we uploaded the full size file, which is really 2000 pixels by 2000 pixels. So you have a 2000 pixel wide image that's displaying at 200 pixels. So it is literally 10 times larger than it needs to be. So even though you see it smaller, your customer their devices, Google Facebook, the browser's their phones have to load up 2000 pixel wide image only to display to 200. So instead, what you do is just edit it in Photoshop. If you don't have Photoshop, there's a free website called Photo pa p a.com. Just drop it in there, hit image resize, put it to 200 by 200. Your website, your page, your funnel literally looks exactly the same. It is just now 90% lighter on that image. So images is one thing. The second part of the images is called compression. Your photos can have hidden data. So if it's a testimonial picture, it could have the data was taken the camera aperture speed, the latitude and longitude of location. So even though you don't see that on the image, it's embedded in the file. And so that adds to the weight of the file. So if you run it through if you're on a Mac, I use a plug in called an app called Image optim Oh, PTI M, if you're on Windows, there's an app called KCM CAES iu m, just drop your photos in there before you upload them. Now, this is different than resizing, so you need to resize it first, then compress it, and then it's going to strip off the hidden data. So now you've maximized how light your files can be your images. So that's images. Now, the second thing is videos, with videos. They're a heavier asset, right? They're, they're a multimedia file. So they're there, they have a bigger delay to them. And so if you're doing organic marketing, your web page will be rewarded and shown higher on search engines if you have a better user experience. So there's other components to that. But one of them just for this conversation, is how easy is your website to use, make Google look good. If Google is going to refer somebody to your website, they want it to be a good experience. If your website is slow, Google's less likely to send a visitor to that, because then that makes Google look bad. Now, even if you're running paid ads, Google ads and Facebook ads, same thing, they want to look good. So if you said if you're running paid ads, and you send a visitor to your website and a load slowly, that that lead is probably going to exit they have a higher probability of not buying your thing. And if they don't buy your thing, you're not going to go back and invest that money back in Facebook. So Facebook's going to grab as much money from you as they can if you have a poor user experience website. But if your website loads quickly, the person's more likely to buy your thing, which means you're probably going to go back to Facebook and give them more money. So they will incentivize you to have a better user experience. So this is why I want to prove our page one. So on the video, the trick with video is if you use Vimeo, YouTube, whatever it is, that's a third party. So your website is dependent on that third party as your website loads, it gets bottlenecked when it hits that third party video. So what you can do is there's a feature called the lightbox. So if you're using Clickfunnels, or WordPress, if you're in Click Funnels, you use the module that's called Video pop up. And so what you do is you take a screenshot of your video, so it looks like the video, but really, it's just a fixed image. And then in your video popup module, you have two fields, one is the field to put your image two is the field to put your actual video URL. So what it does is it displays the video, as if it were a video, but really, it's an image so it's not loading that slow code. But then when they click it, then it triggers the video. So they don't have the delay. Only Intel and if they push the video because that's another thing to think about. What about the people that don't look at your videos, you're still punishing them with that page speed whether they look at it or not. So why not only execute the video if they push play. So if you're on WordPress, there's a plugin called WP video lightbox if you're on something else, just search Google for video lightbox and you'll find a solution for it.Mischa Zvegintzov That's amazing. And listeners, are you getting this like you apply 20 minutes of time. And if you're running paid ads, you can literally reduce your cost in half, or more or less somewhere in there. But you can save a lot of money be more efficient, all of a sudden you I mean, gosh, now you're past breakeven, or now you're hitting breakeven. So you can scale either way,Damon Burton or your or your double the profit on the same amount of investment.Mischa Zvegintzov Yeah. So good. You if I remember correctly to, you had mentioned some of these plugins and things. But I think you and I saw your presentation when you talked about this. You had some other things where you can gauge load speed or some widgets or right where you can see those metrics orDamon Burton Yeah, it's a There's a website called GT metrics. It's just the letters g t, and then me@rix.com. You can use that and it'll break it down, it gets kind of nerdy, which I like because like you said, it breaks down very granularly. So if you're not familiar with web terminology, it might be a little overwhelming, but it'll tell you very specifically. Now one thing that's interesting, just because you and I and the audience, some people are in the funnel world, specifically with Click Funnels for some reason. GT GT metrics can't validate against Click Funnels has something to do with the server they use. But I found another one that I've been using specific for funnel audits it's web page test.org. So you can use that one and and I'm going to shamelessly plug myself here for a minute. I'm actually building out a website specifically for funnel speed tests. It'll be funnel speed test.com So depending on when you listen to this, it may or may not be alive if it's not live. Just come back. We're building it out right now.Mischa Zvegintzov That is amazing. Oh my gosh, I'm so excited for you. I'm taping this right now. Funnel speed test.com Oh my gosh. It is so exciting to hear. I can't wait to see and to see that. And then for your success with that. It's funny too, because I wanted to make sure I've actually meant to start this way. And so we might as well get to it now. But anybody listening, or watching because I'll definitely throw this up on YouTube for fun. But should follow should hit pause and go. Go find you on LinkedIn and it's LinkedIn. Damon Burton forward slash Damon Burton, follow you on Facebook, Damon dot Burton, because you're so fun on Facebook. I'm not a big LinkedIn guy. But I know and we'll get to this in a minute, but you add so much value on Facebook, LinkedIn, and that's how you effectively built a lot of your million dollar business, isn't it? That's correct, right. And then you've got Seo nation.com where people can see some stuff, but I would definitely go to LinkedIn. I would download the free book to quick, you've got a free book. Do we still like this book outrank? Is it still worth talking about? I never know, you might have been like, that's, that's we've moved past that. But I just love the title so much. So you again, you're gonna hit pause, you're gonna go get his free book, which is that? I have the what where do they get the free book, tell him tell him real clarity, Seo book.com. Free Seo book.com. And the book is called outrank. Yeah, how to get consistent and unlimited traffic, turn off ads forever. And track SEO results without, without waiting months to see progress. I freaking love that. Man. I just love the idea of like you said so many people go straight to paid ads and and perhaps it's not efficient. And they I don't know, if you're learning from it great, but spending lots of money unnecessarily. And you you have built this business. Here. Let me let me let me do the proper introduction. So David Burton is a leading authority on SEO and you built an an internationally successful search engine optimization company through the various strategies that you teach and that we're going to talk about. You've optimized websites for Inc 505,000 companies, NBA teams, businesses featured on Shark Tank. You've been featured in Forbes, entrepreneur, Buzzfeed USA weekly, and an endless list of podcasts and SEO industry websites. But best of all, Damon, you help people stop paying for expensive ads that don't work. And you show people how to get traffic without ads, which I love and everybody listening should love

'DOTCOM Secrets - How To Funnel Money Into Your Company
139: DoNation By Laurus Enterprises Interviews Genecia AlluoraToday's episode is a really special one because I was part of a fundraiser, a charity event in the Philippines. But it's virtual. It's organized by Laura's Enterprises with the support of the world's largest event organizer who brings in Tony Robbins, T Haf Ecker, Robert Kiyosaki Success Resources Private Limited of Singapore. So this event is called Do Nation. Let's do it for the nation. There is a virtual charity learning event and aim to fundraise for front liners and event liners. I'm really blessed to be a part of this. So I hope you enjoy this interview and let me know if you love this episode. Genecia Alluora's Story of Bullying(09:43-11:24) I had to support myself at a very young age since I was 14 years old, and I wasn't able to kind of really build up my self-esteem well. So in school, I wasn't able to buy new clothes, new shoes, and therefore, I was often bullied in school because of my look. Imagine me with really short hair, maybe as short as yours. Rich, you have hair. Okay. So almost very short. And I have very dark eye circles, really bushy eyebrows, very tomboyish because of the way I was being brought up to defend myself, to defend for myself, and not with a lot of money in my pocket. I wasn't able to present myself well, I didn't have a lot of confidence, so I was always the spot where people would bully me. The girls have cornered me at the basketball court. I remember one time, and then they pull over my PE shirt, exposing my bra, and then one of them will actually say, oh, you're wearing the same bra. And I felt totally humiliated. Humiliated. So throughout my years, I was consistently being bullied because of my background, and I lost my self-esteem. In fact, there was one other incident that shook me up that I didn't even want to think about joining a beauty pageant because totally, I lost myself completely. There were times that they took my bag. My bag has holes in them, and they threw it across the classroom floor. And all my books were strewn all across the floor. And at that moment in time, I wanted to commit suicide. I just wanted to die. Her Journey Towards Joining Beauty Pageant(11:27-11:50) My self-esteem continued to go downhill. But you see, we are the average of the five people we hang with the most. And sometimes when we don't have coverage, we don't have bravery. We lost ourselves. It's the people around us who will support us and give us that support. And my friends believed in me. My friends saw the potential in me and say Genecia, you should just join a beauty pageant. Just go for it.(12:03-12:07) And my friends, eventually they enrolled me to join Miss Singapore.(12:11-12:24) And the best part was, I wasn't groomed. I didn't have a lot of money to buy a pair of heels. In fact, I could only afford one pair of black color heels. But in any beauty pageant, you need to have one black and one silver. And you have to have clothes for multiple events.(12:35-12:44) So I went to knock on doors, and eventually, I found someone who was willing to give me a sponsorship to teach me how to do public speaking. (12:46-13:18) Her name was Rebecca. And she gave me all the DVDs, CDs, her notes, and everything possible. She gave it to me. And then she said, can you give me your wallet, your bank? And I was a little bit blurred and naive at the time. Okay. I just passed you my bag, and she took out my wallet, unzip my wallet and pour all the money I have in my wallet. And I'm like, Rebecca, why are you taking all my money? That's all that I have. $60 is all that I have for the month for my food and transport and everything else.(13:36-13:56) And I told myself since you took all my money, I have no money. Right. So I better study hard and make sure I do well in my pageant. Right. So eventually I scored really well, and I won Miss Singapore International in 2006 because of Rebecca's teachings, public speaking, learn how to groom myself. All because I took the first step to commit to my success. Concept of Value Exchange Pushed her to do well in Pageantry(16:24-16:57) I think I never really understood the power of value exchange until much later in life. But definitely, when I looked back, I finally understood why she took that $60. There may be very little to some of you, the listeners, audience who's watching this right now, but for me, it was a lot back in those days. So we talked about the value, the proportion of the value that you have right now in your pocket when you give, whether it's 100 pesos or how much you're giving. It's not how much you give, but how much you have that you're actually giving. Her Message to People who are Struggling. (20:46-21:21) Don't think that you are alone because there's someone else out there. I totally get you. If you have depression and anxiety, it's time and possible for the journey. Just know that someone has gone before you and someone has overcome before you. So be an Overcomer. Learn to Ask for Help don't feel like you're being judged if you ask for help or if I ask for help means I'm weak, means I'm lousy, means I'm no good. But if I hadn't asked for help, I hadn't had friends who gave me that support. I will not be here today and be able to do more with my life. (21:23-21:36)So I want to encourage you to really step out of your comfort zone and really ask for help. Don't feel that someone else is judging you. Always know that there is a brighter, lighter hit at the end of the tunnel.Does and Don'ts in Starting a BusinessDon't be an Automatic Expert on Certain Things.(28:21-28:41) So to really do a cafe business, you need to don't become like a chef, you try to start a restaurant. You hold a camera, you think you're a photographer, you hold an iPhone, you think you're a blogger, you have a website, you think you are a blogger or something like that along the line. So don't think that you know how to be a barista. You can make a cafe. Don't Do Retail Business in this Covid-19 Season(28:50-29:14) I would say in this Covid-19 season, don't really start a retail business anymore. I will recommend you to reinvent the idea into a kiosk and then do takeaways, something that is duplicatable, something that is easy. Similar concept to bubble tea. Do something that is easy for people to take away with. I think that would be a better choice.Get a Franchise(30:21-30:36)If you were to do a cafe, get a franchise, that is the easiest way to get started, even though it could be a little more pricey. But that investment that you put upfront guarantees you that you have a system and process that's proven and you can make money immediately. (30:49-30:57) Why? Because the brand is really known in the market and it's easy for people to trust you and know that your coffee is good. (31:07-31:13) Other than that, the brand actually has a trust factor involved. So definitely that will work in itself.Build a Team(31:24-31:44) I think one thing that I found success in the cafe business and I've learned is by having a team, we could put our skillset and strengths together and we are not functioning alone. And because we're not alone, we could easily put the processes together and eventually create something that's worthy of selling. How did Genecia Maximize her time?(40:38-41:11) Maximizing my time really means really sticking to my schedule as if I am doing the business as I would do before and after Covid. I think that in itself is a state of mindset where you can't tell yourself, oh, because it's Covid, therefore, I am not going to function the way I am. I'm going to sleep in a little bit more. I'm going to lazy around a little bit more. I mean, you could do exactly just that. But what is your vision? What is your big why? I think that is the question I want to keep reminding myself. (42:31-43:15) When I maximize my time, I want to always keep my vision in mind, keep that idea of why am I doing what I'm doing? Maximizing time also involves using management tools. I would highly recommend you to check Asana. Asana is a project management tool that is super useful. I have a team of 21 in the Philippines and they are all in Davao and I manage them all on my tools via Skype and Asana. And maximizing my time also means delegating 80% of my to-do list to them. So I only do 20% of my to-do list functioning in my zone of genius. Why Delegation is Very Important in Maximizing Time? (48:45-49:35) All you need is just to have $50 for a task that you completely hate to do. Like for example, bookkeeping like, for example, posting on your social media, getting things scheduled and posting things out, things like that can be easily outsourced and delegated for just $50 a week or $50 a month. It doesn't have to be, oh, I have to hire a full-time employee. It can be just a task or two, three tasks bundled together. As long as the person gets things done for you, you can go bit by bit. The two of the biggest mindset blocks for all the entrepreneurs I see, female entrepreneurs alike, is that they have this mindset of I can do better than the virtual assistant, I can do better than my employees.(49:39-49:44)But the thing is you're forgetting that you could maximize and function in your zone of genius.(50:04-50:10) And number two, the other block that a lot of entrepreneurs have is that they need to spend a lot of money to do delegating. Why Investing in Yourself Matters?(54:07-55:17) I will invest in myself, go for a program that will change and transform either my skill set and then also my mindset. I think the skill set is something that I've learned that nobody can take away from me. I started when I was 14 years old, had to support myself through school as yoga, aerobics, and line dancing instructor because I started when I was 14 teaching classes, being able to move a class of 100, to move a group in a Stadium of 1000, that gave me the skill set, to be able to give instructions whether it's in a small group or big group at a very young age. And that was why I was given the opportunity to work with politicians, CEOs and celebrities. Because of that, I had the advantage over other people when I was doing my business when I was an image consultant and doing my business, and I looked at the whole course on its own. So if I were to only have $1,000, I would do the same. Invest in myself, look at the skill set that is the future that people want. Why Action is Needed to Reach Your Goals?(55:26-56:33) One of the greatest swimmers of all time in Singapore, his name is Joseph Schooling. He won an Olympic gold, our very first Singapore Olympic gold just a few years ago. For Joseph Schooling to win an Olympic goal, he had to hire a coach to coach him how to swim in the pool. But did the coach need to jump in the pool to swim? For Joseph Schooling on the day of the Olympics, the answer is no. Joseph Schooling will wake up five to 06:00 a.m. Every single day and swim and worked his ass off to eventually winning the Olympic goals. So even if you invest in yourself to find a skill set that eventually will pay your bills, you must take action to jump into the pool and swim to achieve your Olympic goal. Like Joseph Schooling, the coach and mentor of the course can only guide you through, give you the system, the process that you can take you there because it's proven, but it takes you all your energy, 100% to swim through, to end, to finish line. Why Genecia's Mother is the Greatest Woman for her?(00:59:27-01:00:31) I look at my life now where I am, if not for her, I would not be where I am today. Like, set up pawning her goal to send me for instructor certifications, which I hated her for. Like, why do I need to work at a young age? Why do I need to do this to want to share with you my depression, my committing suicide, going through different relationships in life. And my mom has always been there, even though sometimes as a daughter, we are rebellious, we are running, going through our own course in life. So for me, I think I'm just being human and looking at my mom, I want to honour her. Even up to now, I would say my mom is still the greatest person ever. And I will say whatever I'm doing now is role modelling after her because she's also a leader in the community. She guides other women. She teaches other women how to live a confident, fulfilling, healthy life. And I'm exactly doing the same. Just an online version.Tips to Embrace our Mothers and Honour Them.Philosophy and Principles (01:03:10-01:03:24) I totally disagree with her most of the time. But over the years, I invested myself a lot in personal development, inner healing work. I do so much of that that I realized that choose to be happy, then choose to be right. Embrace her Indifferences.(01:03:29-01:04:09) She has gone through her own journey and education and her life experiences. So when she says certain things about you, about your work, about your life, just let her say because she has gone through her journey to be what she is today, there is definitely a generation difference to where we are now. So just be open-hearted and love her and embrace who she is. And that is one thing, one of the biggest lessons that I've learnt, embracing my mother and our differences. And I no longer think that I need to be right. I always choose to be happy and I just listen to her and just smile and not my head, even though I disagree What drove Her to build the Sole Rich Woman?(01:05:57-01:06:08) I was trapped in the nine to five red race for about a year because I was already making more working part-time and as an instructor. And I decided that I think nine to five isn't for me.(01:06:23-01:06:58) I feel that my life has been called for. So I went into image consultancy because my pageant winning Miss Singapore has really opened doors for me. And getting that specification as an image consultant did help me to pass ways to get to know more. I would say more influential people like your network goes to your net worth. So I think that really has helped me tremendously. But I was trading time for money. By work, I get paid, I work, I get paid, I don't work, I don't get paid. So that in itself I struggled and I was looking for a way out to go from offline to online, to bring my business online. How Mentoring Helps her in Building Soul Rich Woman(01:06:59-01:07:39) And how can I really make my first million? And that was just what I was thinking. I have never made my million before. I gotta do it myself. How can I get there? I invested in a mentor eventually. And his name is James Wee. He's also my partner in the cafe retail chain. He's also now the partner and the man behind So Rich Woman. So, yes, even though I run Soul Rich Woman, I'm the founder, but he's the man behind looking at all the different strategies and how we are charting out the cash flow and all these things. So it's very important. What is the Vision of a Soul Rich Woman?(01:07:40-01:08:22) I went online knowing that I can empower and equip more women to shortcut their success, to own and love the effort, be fabulous, have freedom, financial independence, and above all, family. I don't want women to start going round and round in circles because I feel that there's just so much time wasted when you're just going round and round in circles. There is definitely a way to shortcut your success, to reach your goal in a shorter period of time if you have the right mentor and the right community. Because when a woman changes her life, her entire community benefits. And alone, you are strong. But together we are unstoppable. What is the Most Important Lesson she learned in Life? How will she Influence people through it?(01:09:34-01:10:10) One of the biggest lessons I learned in life is never to give up. And if I were to win Miss Universe, I would actually use this motivational skill set that I have to actually get everyone who's been in touch with me one light at a time to tell them that the sky's the limit and there's no storm that you cannot conquer Never give up only as you're willing to step out of your comfort zone no dream that you cannot achieve in your life because alone we are strong together we are unstoppable. What advice would you give to youngsters? (01:16:46-01:16:51) Believe in yourself. Be confident. Stay true to your soul, to your heart. What advice would you give to people struggling with this Pandemic?(01:21:40-01:21:54) Remember, quit thinking, start doing and never give up on your dreams. Even Covid-19 has happened. Life definitely must go on. Find a mentor and stay connected.(01:22:12-01:22:43) People are having issues, and they feel that they're alone. So don't feel that you're alone. I just want to just call out to you right now if you're feeling alone, just know that we have resources available for you. And as we do this as a nation together to support our front liners in the Philippines, we also would like you to lend your hand, hundred pesos to get started, to make a donation so that we can do more with our effort together because alone we are strong, together we are unstoppable.Key Takeaways:1. It's not how much you give, but how much actually give.2. Be an Overcomer.3. Learn to ask for help.4. Never give up.5. 138: How To Use My 3 Best Money Affirmations To Change Your LifeNow, today I want to talk about how to use my three best money affirmations to change your life. I know that money affirmations can get a little bit iffy for some of you, but you know that I absolutely love a good affirmation because I think they really have a powerful impact on your life and business, and it can be as powerful as reading a book or taking a course. How does affirmation work? (01:54-02:13) Affirmations are a huge part of how I have manifested my life and business, and I always recommend them as a great starting point if you are looking to upgrade your life or to have more belief in yourself, to own and love the F word.(02:51-03:13) There are specific affirmations for specific situations. Okay, so there are three best affirmations that I have that can help you shift you from feeling negative and frustrated to feeling really good about yourself. Abundant and deserving really quickly. How Can Affirmations Impact Your Money Mindset?(03:15-03:38) Let's do it. So how Affirmations Can Impact Your Money Mindset? First and foremost, affirmations are positive brain training statements that help you shift your focus from the negative, where a lot of us spend our time and shift it to the positive.(03:45-04:03) Scientifically activate our reticular activating system in our brain that's like a light tower shining brightly, showing a signal outwards so that the good stuff will come to you that you want.(05:24-05:55) If you don't pattern interrupt these negative thoughts patterns, you will probably create a downward spiral that manifests more frustration, lack, and negativity. When you're feeling absolutely crap about yourself or feeling absolutely lousy, you often miss out on opportunities. You talk yourself out of taking action, and then you get stuck in the same position of procrastination.(06:03-06:14) Negative self-talk is one of the biggest sabotaging patterns I've seen—people who aren't living their ideal life the life of the F word.My signature affirmation(06:38-07:06) So my signature affirmation is that if you use an affirmation like my signature affirmation, you will say, "I love myself, and I set myself free." "This is my time, and I'm ready for the next step." This immediately gives your brain something really positive to focus on instead of those annoying, stupid negative patterns.(07:07-07:22) Now, this particular affirmation sends the message that you are ready even before you are really ready. And that is only the step that needs to happen. So it becomes less scary. (07:54-08:32) So when you train your brain to look for the positive, you automatically start to feel better and act in different ways. You might feel more motivated to take action, even a small one. And it has a knock-on effect to create positive outcomes too. So if you use affirmations. Whenever you notice the negative thoughts come into play, you successfully patent interrupt the downward spiral of your mood, of your thoughts before it causes drama in your life.Affirmation 1: My face is my fortune(09:09-09:27) This is for you. Entrepreneurs out there or budding entrepreneurs. Okay, aspiring entrepreneurs. Whether you're thinking about starting a bakery, starting your own site, hustle, even though you're not the five employees, or even though you're in a full-time business, hey, it's for you.(09:28-09:35) Don't hide. For your customers to connect with you, you need to be seen.(09:54-10:21) So, the way to differentiate yourself in a crowded marketplace is to be you unapologetically. Yes, Darling, yes. Even at your current weight, current size, current skin, current colour. Even though you think you're not ready. And even if you worry you're not good enough.(11:03-11:13) So six of my favourite ways to get visible. Get some new photoshoots done before you're ready. (11:24-11:38) Number two, use your face on your branding. Even if you're a product business or live stream business, eCommerce business, give yourself permission to be seen as a real-life model of what you do.(11:52-11:59) Number three, if you make things, show the behind-the-scenes of your workspace and how you create your work. (12:07-12:19) Number four, this also helps you to charge well for what you do because your audience starts to appreciate the work that goes into your product.(12:20-12:34) Number five, be brave to show a mix of photos, the glam up ones versus the real-life ones. You'll be surprised what your audience or the people resonate with.(12:55-13:11) Lastly, get on the camera either with live streaming interviews or prerecorded videos so that your audience can connect with you. Do what feels comfortable, Darling, but basically show up and show yourself.Affirmation 2: I serve. I deserve.(13:41-13:50) The word deserve means that when you serve through your programs, your products or your services, you deserve to be rich. (13:59-14:08) So when I first started using this affirmation, it completely changed the way I felt about my impact on the world and my ability to receive abundance in return. I used to feel really horrible and terrible that I couldn't help everyone and would constantly feel guilty.(15:44-16:04) The truth is that when you have a business, you could work 24/7 and still not feel like you are doing enough. There's no off time or clock off time for most of us. So how do you deal with it now? Think of all the ways you serve people.(18:28-18:37) You deserve to be rich when you serve, or you make an impact on people's lives or add value to other people's lives.(18:39-19:12) This affirmation will remind you of all the ways to help people, but it also helps you to remember that you don't have to serve in all ways or be everything to everyone you already served. Use this affirmation as your reminder that it's okay to receive good things doing what you do. You are entitled to receive abundance in your life from serving people, including money.(19:17-19:28) So remember this. I serve. I deserve. I deserve to be rich when I add value to other people's lives. Affirmation 3: This is what a soul rich woman looks like!(19:50-20:06) Now, this one will change your life. When you think about the stereotypical rich woman wealthy person, what do you think they will look like, sound like or dress like?(20:26-20:57) Surely a rich woman has to have a mess. Chanel and all the big fancy brands and fancy outfits all the time, right? Go look in the mirror and say this affirmation to yourself. Point to your face and say this. “This is what a soul rich woman looks like.!”(22:56-23:24) Then you will interrupt the pattern and remind yourself that you can be as a soul rich woman, as rich as you want to be, as much so rich as you want to be, as you love to be, as much wealthy as you want to be. And you can be as wealthy as you like, you start to believe that it's possible for you to be exactly how you are now.Which affirmation will you use today?(23:06-24:00) So which affirmation will you use today? Using Affirmations takes a bit of effort to remember. But if you can get into the habit, you'll see huge results in a very short time. Remember, you get what you focus on. So training your brain to focus on the positive really boost your manifesting efforts. Now, if you need some help starting to work on your money mindset, I have a ton of resources to help you. I have helped thousands of entrepreneurs break through their F-Word.Key Takeaways:1. Affirmations are a huge part of how I have manifested my life and business.2. Negative self-talk is one of the biggest sabotaging patterns for yourself.3. Don't hide - Your customer needs to see you.4. You deserve to be rich when you serve.5. A soul rich woman has to have a mess.Key Resources:Subscribe to Genecia's Youtube channel: https://www.youtube.com/c/SoulRichWomanVisit SRW's website: https://www.soulrichwoman.comFollow Genecia on Instagram : (@Geneciaalluora)Follow Genecia on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/geneciaalluora/Check Genecia's LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/genecia/Free Resource: "Soul Why: Soul Rich Woman Blueprint" and "How to Delegate 80% of your to-do list" ---> https://be.soulrichwoman.comSecrets of Manifesting Money Quickly Online Course ---> https://shor.by/moneymindset

But far from being scary, our dark side holds the promise of a better, more fulfilling life. Our shadow makes itself known every day. It is the reason we get furious over a friend showing up ten minutes late, yell at our parents or kids when they have done nothing wrong, and sabotage our own success at the worst possible time. Until we are able to embrace our dualistic nature, we will continue to hurt ourselves and those closest to us and fall short of our potential.Combining the wisdom of three experts, The Shadow Effect is a practical and profound guide to discovering the gifts of our shadow. 132: Keep What You Earn(01:08-1:46) Now on this episode, I have completed an interview with Shannon Winston of Keep What You Earn podcast show, and I would like to share with you the interview done because in this show I talked about secrets of manifesting money quickly. Creating abundance in your life is not just the only ingredient to your financial success or to own your effort. You too, need another secret ingredient to own that level of success. Turning Mess into Message(04:29-04:54) I told my mom about all the different bullying situations that happened to me in school, and she told me this, turn your mess into your message now, even though I don't really get it at that point in time. But my tenacity and grit and determination grew because my mother was my source of mental and wellness and emotional support. And I persevered. And that's how I move forward.Entrepreneur Rat Race(05:48-06:38) But you see, it came to a point where I couldn't move anymore because I was stuck. I don't want to be a trainer of my life in terms of, like, I get paid, I work, I get paid, I don't work, I don't get paid. So I kind of have a quarter-life crisis at that point and ask myself this question, what am I going to do with my life? Am I going to be a slave to entrepreneurship? Now? I coined this term. A lot of people say it's the Rat Race. I call this the Entrepreneur Rat Race, which means you thought that you're an entrepreneur. You don't value your own time. You expect to be paid when you're a full-time job. But when you become an entrepreneur, you don't expect to be paid. You don't value your time. How do you spend your time every single day?Key Driver's to Mindset Shift(07:34-07:48) The key thing that shifted my mindset was the desire to change and the awareness of it. So having the awareness and desire to change, I put myself through causes. I think skill set is something that it cannot be removed from us.Gratification that most Woman HaveRewarding Yourself(09:18-09:44) A lot of women said I want financial freedom. I want financial independence. And, yes, we can give you the sense. That's why we give you the help. And it's done. Once they hit their 10K month or 20K month and then scaling upwards, I'm like, hey, what do you do with your money? Oh, I bought a Chanel bag. I bought this brand. I bought the wallet I've been eyeing for a long time. It's a childhood dream. (09:48-10:07) It's wonderful to reward yourself versus when you make the money and then you are not managing the money. You achieve that financial independence you achieve to a certain extent. You are just getting started. But if you're not managing it your financial independence could be entirely lost. Spending For Family(10:42-11:11) Family is important, but that bloodline. Or I call it the cash flow of business. It is that flow that keeps the entire business going. What if a client delays paying you? What if you needed extra emergency funds for whatever purposes, extra marketing dollars to get a few. Just maybe two more clients to get that going. So I think that will be delay gratification. How to protect your Financial Independence?(10:08-10:27) So this is one thing that I always advise women to do. Always pay yourself first. I think that's very important and use whatever that has been. I would say segmented out to pay yourself first and then use that to apportion out whatever you want to buy eventually delay gratification.(11:13-11:37) Something I will feel very practical is if you really want something that badly for yourself or for your family, why not get two more clients? I always suggest to my coaching clients would be like, find two more person who will pay for that. So you keep a base set of clients for the retainer fee or whatever that you've made. Invest back and then maybe get two more so that you can extra buffer for the item that you always wanted.Build a Team(12:28-12:46) Find a peer group like a Mastermind 3,4,5 of you. It doesn't have to be big, like a community. No, just a small group where you stay accountable, where you are supportive of each other. And there's no judgment in that group.Tips on Money Management.Hire a CFO or Chief financial officer.(13:44-13:53) you're not a person who can keep the money, hire CFO, and that was exactly what I did. I hire somebody and control my money to take care and handle for me. Get a Mentor(13:55-14:00) Really get a mentor who really guides you. What to do?Repeat one and two(14:06:14:25) Because we are entrepreneurs, we don't really listen. We have our own opinions. We have our own mindset, how we should spend our money. I would say, if you want to hire somebody, engage somebody, believe in them, fully empower them fully. And really, I would say, don't be the bottleneck of your business.Put your Goals in front of You(15:03-15:26) Put your goals in front of you because out of sight, out of mind. So that's how I work with my clients and myself. I put my goals. Let's say something we want to buy or we want to hire somebody. At this rate, we put our goals down very clearly and on the board so that we will not when we have the budget. What does Being Online Really Mean?(18:17-18:47) What online and really being there and present really means will be how are you showing up for your clients and people you serve every single day? Now there's a difference if you only serve a client by showing up once a week versus someone who is newer than you in the marketing game or online game who's showing up two to three times a day every single day for the next 365 days. (19:05-19:18) If you're going to put in only 4 hours a week versus someone who puts in 16 hours a day hustling to get things off the ground and make sure they are seen and heard, then that will make a lot of difference. How to Create your Personal Brand and Stand Out?(20:52-21:37) Create your own. I would say your own ocean your own area instead of going to a space and be number two, be rather your own category. King of category Queen. I think that would be key. Like for myself as sole rich women's founder, I'm not just a female entrepreneur network that does the usual business stuff. We are very call focused on helping women to go from offline to online to own the F-word. Now how do we do that's later on. But the messaging out there to the world is such so niche that when people think about I want to go online, I will think about Soul Rich Women, (21:47-22:08) So be very distinct on how you're serving your people. And that would be the question you need to ask yourself, which is what is the one problem that I can solve for my customers immediately right now so that in future and moving forward, they will pay me for my advice and for my service.Missing Out is part of Making Progress (22:35-23:40) The formal factor, the fear of missing out is huge. And I acknowledge that I will not say, oh, it's not there. It is. There. So the way in one key way I always get them to overcome is think about like an octopus. I don't know if you know, octopus. Octopus has eight Lakes. So think about you are building your business like an octopus. First, build one Lake until the Lake is successful most of the second Lake and then the third Lake, and then the fourth League. If I put it into a sports metaphor, it will be the golf go to a golf course. You need to hit the first, then a second, and then your third, and then to the last hole right there is a progression in everything. So don't deny the fear of missing out. Accept it. Acknowledge it. Say thank you very much for being there for me. And I just want you to get out of the door right now because I want to establish my key foundation so strong. My first Lake, my first hole, and I'm going to move through it until I'm so good at it.Message to Entrepreneurs Struggling to See their Worth.(24:33-24:50) Find five people who say and think that you are good in whatever area that you have probably helped them before because we lose confidence in ourselves. In the midst of all this online mayhem, we lose ourselves all the shiny star syndrome.(25:05-25:32) So find five friends or five businesses. I would say peer to peer support in the community that you are in and get them to say something and recognize something that is good in you or you're really good with from. Establish a confidence once again in that specific area because they don't get paid by saying what's good about you or what you have shown up for them. Right? So, hey, that's something to get started with.Switching Negative to Positive.(26:25-26:27) We often as female entrepreneurs. We beat ourselves over little things that happen, clients not paying you on time, and then you bling or something. Am I that bad? And then when clients say something, am I really so lousy? There's nothing positive that you turn around? It's always the first instinct of the negative. So I think that reading something positive or have people around you who gave you the positive environment really will help you through. Remember, alone. You are strong together. We are unstoppable. Delegation as the New Success.(27:45-28:52) In fact, it was during my cafe chain business because even though I had the money, I had the business, I had everything that I have, I didn't feel as contented. I felt that something was missing. I was not doing what I was called for. And therefore, when I exited the business with my partners, I was like, oh, we've got to exit the public listed company. Right. So we exited the I say, hey, this is it. We're going to do something about it. So that was something that I wanted to move and to shortcut women's success. I would say that to help them to get the opportunities that they would have never thought of, to have it easier than me because I lend them my giant platform my giant shoulders and let them leap off to the next phase of your life. Because success is never about glorious wins. Like you said, never about the ego, never about the wins. But it's about how you can take a step back and let other people shine as well. You make the wrong thing perfect. And that's not the result that we want for you. The result we want for you tonight is to take the right step the first day, so make the success habits the first step and then you go over it and then you own it. You don't have to change to be who you are. You have to be more of who you are so that people can notice you because you're authentic because you're real because you are you because nobody can replace you. Turn your talent into your business. Turn your passion into a paycheck by being you by being you and only you.Five Key Mindset to be a Podcaster.(14:31-14:45) Having a podcast show is not just calling yourself, okay, I'm a podcaster, and that's it. It's how your mindset towards being a podcaster is or having a podcast is that will transform your business and build a brand around podcasting.(14:46-15:04) So number one, it instantly changes your status. Number two, it makes you an instant authority. Number three, it gets you speaking engagements. Number four, it has a high perceived value. Number five, you can build trust before selling.(15:04-15:36) So these are the five key mindset pieces that you must have if you are looking to build a brand and business around podcasting, because if you don't have a belief that it instantly changes your status, that it instantly makes you an authority, that it gets you or possibly speaking engagements is high perceived value, or you can build trust before selling. That in itself will make a huge difference in how you approach matters on hand. How do these Five Mindset Change the way you handle Social Media?(16:56-17:13) Remember, the five key beliefs that you must have instantly changed the status it can get you speaking engagements is high perceived value. It can build trust before selling and instantly changes your status and instant authority. So when you have these in mind, then you approach social media differentlyBe The Star in your Podcast Show(16:13-16:55) So when you have a podcast, how do you approach this? You must become the star of your show. You cannot just hide and think that okay, I'm a podcaster. I hide behind that episode cover. I hide behind in that name. No, you got to get out there. So overall, this is what we call this Soul rich women blueprints. And I use this podcasting blueprint technique called Soul Rich Woman Blueprint to help my clients to be seen and to be heard online. Now, when you are the star, you can build your norm-like-trust core. Now, norm-like-trust core is very important, especially when you have a podcast.Consistency is a Must in Podcasting(17:28-17:53) The key thing of why we are successful and how our clients got five-figure sales and being seen as a leader was because they were really over consistentNow consistency seems very elusive when you're looking at stuff. I want to share with you this when you look at consistency, it's not a one-day thing. It's not one day, two days, three weeks. (21:31-21:45) So three things you must have a schedule of consistency. Number two, you really need to engage with your audience when they comment, you must reply to them. Last, but not least really have a targeted message to talk to them.Secrets in Podcasting Effectively.1. Consistency and Batching.(22:18-22:28) In our platform, we help our podcasters to do four days of recording and to launch one year's worth of content. You can actually do four days of recording to develop one year of content, and we have a template for that. (22:45-22:47) We have a template. We have a process for that to help them to achieve that2. Glowing and LeadingGlowing with your Podcast (22:50-23:18) Look into how you're glowing and leading. Now I want to share with you two beautiful main dream characters or Chinese characters. Now, a lot of people when they start a podcast, will think I'm a leader, right? But I would like to think of it as you are glowing with your podcast shows. The glow, the essence that attracts people to you will be your title, your podcast cover, which later on I will share with you a little bit more.(25:26-25:36) So just by a slight tweak in the imaging in the way, who you want to target, who you want to speak to and how you want to be memorable to the people that you're talking to will determine how you will look on your podcast cover how you approach your podcasting so if you want to look at this by map.Be the Leader in your content(23:19- 23:28) Being a leader in your content. What exactly are you speaking about? So you need to be a charismatic leader. You need to find your own mastery. (25:42- 25:56) When you have a belief that you can be the instant authority, you can be the leader, you change your status, you have hyper seal value, it can develop into a business. And that is what exactly we did for our podcasters.3. Find Your Niche(23:52-24:15) What exactly are you talking to? Who are you targeting? And how can you be memorable to your audience? And this is key, so just a quick few before and after to help you. Dr. John Tan is the Executive care director of Care Singapore and he's also the President of the Youth Work Association. So that was the podcast cover before the image that he was using. But because he speaks to youth when he launches the podcast, he wants to talk to youth. So choosing the right image that speaks to the target audience is important.4. Building Small Agreements(26:28-26:33) You must have small agreements. Don't think in just one podcast episode it will close sales.(26:59-27:29) Just by building up her podcasting on her social media and posting on a fixed schedule, being consistent out there and then engaging with the audience. We also helped Joanne to build her digital products as well. And because people listen to a podcast show, people sign up for her five-figure program as well without any ads. And this was within months as well, within a month. Okay. So if she can do it, so can you.5. Being Memorable(34:45-35:20) Set aside time. Two days, four days is all you need. If you're doing micro podcasting to batch on entire years of content, the second secret is all about being memorable. Being memorable. If you are not memorable, you are forgettable. People, it takes only 7 seconds to remember you online, 7 seconds. And then if you are not memorable, your podcast cover is ugly. You are not catchy. You're not personable. People will forget you because in the online space people you just want people to stop the finger.6. Do More with Less(35:50-36:25) Do more with less, work on leverage. Now, leverage is important because if you have to believe and you know for sure that your podcast is going to be amazing, really see it and market. A lot of people are what we call they are just holding back. How am I going to say this? It's like you're just oh, I got a podcast, but nobody knows they have a podcast if you don't market it right. Marketing is really key and it's really essential, and you're ready to position yourself there.Key Takeaways:1. Be the star of your podcast show.2. Be more of who you are.3. Find your own mastery.4. Building Small Agreements.5. Do More with Less.Key Resources:Subscribe to Genecia's Youtube channel: https://www.youtube.com/c/SoulRichWomanVisit SRW's website: https://www.soulrichwoman.comFollow Genecia on Instagram : (@Geneciaalluora)Follow Genecia on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/geneciaalluora/Check Genecia's LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/genecia/Free Resource: "Soul Why: Soul Rich Woman Blueprint" and "How to Delegate 80% of your to-do list" ---> https://be.soulrichwoman.comSecrets of Manifesting Money Quickly Online Course ---> https://shor.by/moneymindset
130: Build A Business And Life You LoveIn today's sharing, I have an interview that was done with the Philippines, the CEO of VIP International, Richard Paredes. So he has interviewed me and I love to share with you this season of this episode. I think there are a lot of great nuggets for you to pick up on the stuff that matters to you the most. Why do we need to value our clients?(09:02-09:21) Every single Wednesday at 09:00 p.m. Sharp, I show up consistently rain or shine. So by doing so, I built up from zero, nobody attended my webinar. I have crickets, cockroaches and butterflies attending my webinar, right? Nobody else was there.(09:46-09:51) I think it's all about giving value and being consistent to show that you are there. (10:04- 10:45) So value is something that people don't really get it. They think by just going on a Facebook life, they just share and sell something on intellectual. I mean, that's great. But what is real value is that someone takes away something. If I can give you one or two AHA moments on the show, that is value. And that is why when I'm now launching my Make It Happen campaign for my book and my podcast show, I'm giving value to anyone today who wants to get onto my show three to five minutes. I'm going to promote you. Why is giving value is important?(11:01- 11:15) So what is value? So if you really want to help somebody, you know what? Don't sell, give value first. If they know, like, and trust you, they'll love you, they'll respect you. (11:38- 11:49) So giving value, Rich, is just like what you're doing, really providing them know, like, trust goal so that they build a relationship with you.(12:24-12:43)So I'm letting people tap onto our big giant shoulders to leap off, at least have an opportunity. You see, success is not about glorious wins, it's never about that. It's about taking a step back and letting other people shine as well.Don't Be Afraid to Start from Zero(15:21-16;05) But if you think about it, yeah. Before, Gary Vaynerchuk him, Gary Vaynerchuk. He started wine TV, wine library or wine TV. And that has nobody watching it. Robert Kiyosaki started somewhere. Nobody even know about him until he started teaching and doing the board game. Right. So we all started from zero. And when we look at the successes of people, like, when people look at you, Rich people are like, oh, Rich is so amazing. You do your own show, you got this, we got that. And then they're. They're like, oh, but I can never be like Rich. But you know what? You just need to take a baby step. The 3 P's by Genecia1. Prioritize(16:12-16;30) Where is your dream? What is your goal? prioritize. If your dream is to be seen and to be heard as a leader, you want to be a leader in the agency, in your organization, on the online platform, whatever that may be, you have to prioritize. 2. Push Yourself(16:34-16:46) Get yourself with a network of like-minded, people, right? because like, attract like-minded people and then you get support and then people push you along, cheerleading you.3. Prepare to Launch(16:53-17:24) Too many of you prepare but never launch. How many of you think about launching that podcast that Facebook live, that business that you want to do, the early-stage entrepreneurship that you always wanted to start to make money online. You're thinking you're always preparing, researching and preparing. Hope that one day when the time is right, TADA, you think that the fairy godmother is going to come down and bring a magic one and wave a magic one like Cinderella. (17:45-17:47) Don't just prepare, prepare and launch it.The power is in our hands. (19:07-19:37) We have the power in our hands. And if you get out of the comfort zone, stop being a victim. Blaming the COVID, blaming the lockdown, blaming another person. If you take that power again, you know what? You can dream. You can make money online. You can have a side hustle that you always wanted to do. That's right, because it's never about the resources, it's always about the resourcefulness.(30:01-30:50) If you are thinking, oh, life sucks. Life is lousy. That person's fault, and you stay in that box and you choose to stay in that box. Every single day, we talk about 21 days to build an amazing habit. Can you imagine it's only 21 days and you can't even keep doing it? And you have done the years of your life, 20 years of your life, 30 years of your life, 40 years of your life complaining. How are the 21 days going to transform into it 30 years, 20 years and 40 years of your life? Unless you choose to when you choose, you know what? You don't have to change who you are. But you must be willing to learn and grow your mindset.Take a Different Perspective(35:48-38:58) If you are not doing very well in this time of covid or having a lockdown, take a different perspective. What do your clients or potential audience need?(34:39-34:47) So I've got this image consultant-client she's charging about. She's shown to sell a $3,000 package to engineers. (35:26-35:06) Most engineers are behind the scenes behind-the-scenes. And the fact is, she couldn't sell her packages at all through the sum of the crickets literally zero. So when she came to me and I told her, I said, Why don't you consider changing a perspective, taking another perspective of what your audience needs? So after much brainstorming, I said, why not you sell them or promote to them how to look good on dates? Because most engineers are really nerdy. I'm just saying, generally they are nerds, but I believe they're really handsome engineers out there as well. (36:11-36:22) But they don't have time for dates. Why don't you teach them how to look good on a first date? How do you do your social etiquette for the first date or the subsequent date?(36:23-36:36) With the same pricing, she took a different perspective of their package. We looked at the client they're targeting, and guess what? She sold like hotcakes. The package is sold like hotcakes.Importance of Knowing Your Market(39:43-40:36)Sell to everybody. Sell to nobody. Speak to one. Speak to many. So if you think about it, if I could give you a hard moment today about who your target market should be, then I want you to hop on the movement of making it happen because helping you to see a perspective overcoming a challenge of identifying your fishes is important for me, especially now when everyone is going online and the funny part is Rich, they are thinking I want a salmon head, a body of a shark, a tail of a dolphin. It's not possible. The fish is dead. The fish is already dead. By the time you chop them up and then put the jigsaw puzzle together. (41:24-42:03) You have to just keep changing and moulding yourself into your customer's needs. Why not just be who you are. Be who you really are. Be authentic and tell yourself, who do you want to serve and then go to the next. Love your customers more than you love your product.Take all Excuses out and Ask For Help(54:52-55:15) But first, you need to get all of your excuses out of the sofa, of excuses, out of the couch of excuses. I went out to look for people who could help me ask for help. We agents are so unwilling to ask for help. Do we look weak when we ask for help? Well, to a lot of people, we look weak. But I want to encourage you today. Take courage to ask for help. Take Courage to Be Who you are (55:46-56:19) Take courage. I really want those of you who are watching this right now. You're not here by chance. Especially now. It's life. You're not here by chance. You have this intuition that you are here today supporting Rich on VIP TV to be here on this show. There must be a reason why you need to hear this right now. Remember, you don't have to change who you are. You can go from stuck to unstoppable without changing who you are and allowing that diamond to shine. The Art of Delegation(01:02:56-01:03:53) You need to learn the art of delegation. My mentor told me that if you want to scale your business or grow your business, you can't be a solo premiere all the time. I don't want to be a bottleneck of my own business. So when he highlighted to me that if I want to be the bottleneck, then I can just do everything myself because I am the best at doing everything myself and the best person I can finish doing the task in the shortest possible time and then I have no time, no freedom and I work as a slave myself. I really am a slave to my business. I mean, what is the reason you guys are out there doing entrepreneurship or making money online? What are the purpose and reason? Right. But you must be willing to work hard in the beginning and then find some ways to outsource 5 hours of your time just a week or a month.(01:03:59-01:04:30) Ask someone else to do it for you, even for the women out there. Even babysitting, give yourself time for yourself. It's also outsourcing and delegating through. So by having this mindset of being able to let go and empower someone to do the work, even though they may not do as well as you. But think about it. With the extra 5 hours of your time, you could be making more money and this is a rich person mindset. A rich mindset. The ASC Method in Communication(01:09:43-01:10:37) Social media marketing. There are so many different parts to it. And whether is it Facebook, Facebook Page, your profile. Is it for Instagram? There are so many different ways to do that same thing called social media marketing. So I think we really need to be specific in our communication. And I always will use the ASC method, which accelerates your communication. Be authentic, C for clarifying without hesitation. So apply the ASC format. Okay. Really consistently clarify, clarify and clarify without hesitation. We'll help you to communicate better with your team and build your business and make money online without reinventing the wheel over and over again.(01:13:44-01:14:20) Opportunity presents itself. But of course, like what we always see when the student is ready, the master will appear. Not the master has appeared. But will you be the student tonight? Today, tomorrow? By clicking on the link by submitting your voice recording three to five minutes to be on a podcast show. That it's international. That's going to bring your business, your brand, your leadership up one notch. Ten knots. Are you willing to take a step forward to make money online? (01:17:22-01:17:34) But are you willing to take the step, or do you want to continue to be where you are now, but to be where you are now, to where you want to need to start(01:17:35-01:18:04 Because every day, if you do a 1% improvement to be a different version of you, the other word I never say better. I say different. 1% just 1%. It's all you need every single day. And imagine that 1% is just three to five minutes. By the end of 365 days, you will have 365% of a different version of yourself, which means you go to the next.Key Takeaways:1. Be Resourceful.2. It's OK to start from Zero.3. Take a Different Perspective.4. Sell to everybody, Sell to nobody.5. Prioritize, Push Yourself, Prepare to Launch.Key Resources:Subscribe to Genecia's Youtube channel: https://www.youtube.com/c/SoulRichWomanVisit SRW's website: https://www.soulrichwoman.comFollow Genecia on Instagram : (@Geneciaalluora)Follow Genecia on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/geneciaalluora/Check Genecia's LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/genecia/Free Resource: "Soul Why: Soul Rich Woman Blueprint" and "How to Delegate 80% of your to-do list" ---> https://be.soulrichwoman.comSecrets of Manifesting Money Quickly Online Course ---> https://shor.by/moneymindset
Episode129: Money And MeHello, gorgeous. Welcome to this episode. Now, this was a presentation that I did and I shared about money and me, money and you and I would like you to transform your business and your life with these few concepts that I'm about to share in the presentation.Value your time, you value yourself. (03:50-04:18) How much is your time worth per hour? How much is your time worth per hour? Now, that's very important, because if you view the value of money, sometimes it's tight to your time, how you value your time and what you're doing every single 24 hours a day. So the way you spend your time is the way you value yourself. And it's the way that you can grow your abundance and manifest more money or abundance into your life. What is Soul Rich Woman's vision?(08:26-09:21) Life was more than just making money. Life was more than just whatever that I'm doing right now because I have no business background and I moved into building a legacy business that I call Soul Rich Woman. So this Soul Rich Woman, let me just share with you why I call it Soul Rich Woman. I believe that women or people and generally for myself, I feel that women should have the soul. They have a soul, once you have the soul, you have a soul, you can develop abundance in any way you want. So with the soul, that's how you develop and you evolve as a person and bear for the fruits of whatever they are doing. And that is the definition of Soul Rich Woman. And it ties in with the F word, fabulous, freedom, financial independence and happy family. And that defines not a person but how you value, at which point in your life.Beliefs that help Genecia break through hardships in life. 1. You deserve to be rich when you give value to others.(10:21- 10:41) You deserve to be rich because you provide value to other people's lives. So that is the first belief that transform my life because I also wanted to do free. I want to help those people who are poor, but I must make myself rich first. I must make myself successful first before I could give more to other people.2. Be an excellent receiver. (11:27-11:54) So as I'm giving, I must learn to receive. So when people ask me, oh, can I help you with your business? Can I get you or can I help you with this project? I say no, I can do it myself because I grew up at 14 years old fighting for my rice bowl. So I'm very independent. So I opened my heart to learn to receive, to be an excellent receiver. That's how the abundance walks through the doors.3. Be grateful for everything you received.(12:00-12:27) Become more and more grateful for every single penny and every single cent that comes in and goes out by having a gratitude mindset and saying thank you for every single sentence and writing down to the $0.05. I learned that by saying that appreciating every single cent gave me a lot more, 100 times more by being grateful for every single one that I have. 4. Practice this powerful mantra.(13:02-14:24) All you need to do is just raise your right hand and put your right hand onto your heart. And then in three, two, one, let's speak this together. Three, two, “I love myself and I set myself free. This is my time, I'm ready for the next step.” Now pause and breathe in and breathe out. Notice how you feel at this current moment. Be at peace and notice the feeling about taking the next step and relaxing. So that is my journey about money and with money. And notice how we've transitioned and being at peace and aligned with our heart. That's when the soul is truly happy.Key Takeaways:1. Give value to others2. Do something you love.3. Be an Excellent Receiver. 4. There is hope and light at the end of the tunnel.5. Invest in Self-Healing and Personal Development.Key Resources:Subscribe to Genecia's Youtube channel: https://www.youtube.com/c/SoulRichWomanVisit SRW's website: https://www.soulrichwoman.comFollow Genecia on Instagram : (@Geneciaalluora)Follow Genecia on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/geneciaalluora/Check Genecia's LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/genecia/Free Resource: "Soul Why: Soul Rich Woman Blueprint" and "How to Delegate 80% of your to-do list" ---> https://be.soulrichwoman.comSecrets of Manifesting Money Quickly Online Course ---> https://shor.by/moneymindset
Episode 128: 7 Signs You Need To Work On Your Mindset Hey, gorgeous and welcome to today's episode. I'm your host, Genecia Alluora. Now today, I want to share the seven signs you need to work on your mindset. Now, when it comes to money, sooner or later, there will be a wake-up call that happens for each of us. Maybe the last year has been a massive wake up call for you.1. When you know it's your time but something holding you back.(04:38- 05:34) Finally, each year you set big goals thinking that this will be the year that your dreams come true. You might even have a book that is sitting on your computer 90% done or a program or course that's ready to launch, but something's just stopping you. Every day you wake up and you think now it's the time, it's the right time. But the moment your income doesn't match up with your intelligence or with your degree or potential and the gifts you offer up to the world, you are tired and you are tired of waiting for someone else to choose you or you deem that you are ready to earn more. I'm sure you're frustrated in yourself that you haven't done it yet, but maybe today is today and you know that it's now or never.2. When you've been practising personal development yet your money handling behaviour doesn't change.(05:43-06:32) You love personal development, but the money hasn't shown up yet. Well, you could be feeling like a fraud or flaky person right now because you're doing everything right, but it's just not working. I bet you have a dream board, a vision board, or you journal your goals regularly. And you are a very positive person. You probably read every book that talks about making money abundance under the sun, but you feel like there's still a missing puzzleIt feels unfair if you're honest with yourself. You know that you've been sabotaging money behaviours that are working against you, but you can't change them.3. When you don't earn what you are worth but you are aware of that.(06:36-06:52) You don't earn what you are worth and you suspect that you're worth a lot more. The charge what you are worthing gets a really bad reputation, especially when we talk about it here in soul rich woman, you need to charge your worth, do less.(07:00-07:34) It's because women don't see that they are worth the amount, and they're always using that excuse or that sentence. Women should just help women. Why should I charge or get someone to pay me for my products or services? I mean, you can't put a price tag on yourself as a human being. You're priceless, but guess what your business isn't. You have to name a price.4. When you want to live a life worth living but you're compromising it.(08:39-08:50) You want to live a first-class, amazing life, but you're stuck in the rut, you're stuck in your cupboard. (08:53-09:41) You are sick of compromising areas in your life, like where you stay, what you eat, how you are treating your family because we're talking about owning and loving the F-word. So being fabulous, freedom, financial independence, and a happy family. So you're kind of sick of compromising all these four F-Words in your life, where you live, how you dress, or how you travel. It's exhausting, super tiring to have to justify every single dollar, every single cent. Think about it. Wouldn't it be nice and cool to have peace of mind that you can always make more money? You're seeing other women rapidly increasing their income and you are kind of jealous? It's okay to admit it.5. When you're aware of your money handling capability but do not seek any help.(09:57-10:01) You already know that you need a money mindset makeover. (10:06-10:21) You might even have gone through situations when you think I've got to sort this out.(10:22-10:50) For example, when you start to perspire when you talk to an accountant or anyone official or officially about money, or you sit and procrastinate like sending out invoices people send me their confessions all the time and say that they are so scared about money, in particular, talking about it and asking for it, you might even think you are really bad with money.(11:08-11:16) It's about taking a practical inventory of your past experiences and examining it with all your beliefs and habits around money.6. When you feel like you repel money.(11:27-11:56) You know how to manifest money quickly when you need to, but it's not predictable or it comes at a great personal cost. Like, for example, you're stressed out or burned out. When you have a good month, you often attract unexpected bills or fines that will wipe it all out. So you're always going like two steps forward and one steps back, ten steps forward and three steps back. And that can be so frustrating. 7. When you want to make more money, but you're also scared.(12:04-12:21) Some people are surprised to learn that even millionaires are scared. Making more money doesn't make the fear go away. Same for me, even at the stage where I'm at, making money is scary sometimes.(13:05-13:31) You worry about losing your privacy or safety. You worry, you get scammed. You worry about friends and family asking you for more money. You worry that it's going to be a hugely negative experience and you can see where I'm going. This is common and you can see these conflicting things and how much they could be holding you back.Embracing the money blocks (13:38-14:01) Everyone has their flavour of money blocks, and I'm here to help you identify yours and clear it.(14:37-15:13) Remember, Money blocks don't have to derail you. You can embrace them and move on to creating the life that you want, the F-Word that you want for yourself, family, financial independence, being fabulous, having freedom, but it all starts with your awareness. Once you know your block, you then can stop sabotaging behaviours that you can stop them, that they will not come and haunt you. And then you can move on to the next level. That's when you can make money, no matter what. Key Takeaways:1. Know your worth.2. We all can have it all.3. Create a money mindset reset.4. You're priceless, but your business isn't.5. Money blocks don't have to derail you.Key Resources:Subscribe to Genecia's Youtube channel: https://www.youtube.com/c/SoulRichWomanVisit SRW's website: https://www.soulrichwoman.comFollow Genecia on Instagram : (@Geneciaalluora)Follow Genecia on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/geneciaalluora/Check Genecia's LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/genecia/Free Resource: "Soul Why: Soul Rich Woman Blueprint" and "How to Delegate 80% of your to-do list" ---> https://be.soulrichwoman.comSecrets of Manifesting Money Quickly Online Course ---> https://shor.by/moneymindset
