If you're constantly asking yourself "what do they want me to say?" instead of "what do I want to share?" you might be building a fake community instead of a genuine one. This episode will help you understand the difference and why it matters for your business. Today I'm diving deep into the psychology behind content creation and why so many of us end up people-pleasing our way to an audience that doesn't actually stick around. We're talking about the difference between having spectators who clap and leave versus active participants who buy into your essence and stay through your pivots, mistakes, and boundary-setting. Here's the truth: scared people don't become well-known, and boring people don't get paid. If you're trying to make everyone love you and never want to upset anyone, you'll never stand out or get the visibility you're craving. Your brain literally filters out sameness. It only pays attention to emotion, polarity, and what's different! I'm breaking down why we cater to fake communities (spoiler: it's often about that inner child need for validation and safety), how to spot whether your community is genuine or performative, and what to do if you realize you've been building the wrong kind of following. Plus, I'm sharing the mindset shifts you need to make if you want to attract people who will stick with you for the long haul. In today's episode, we're talking about: The difference between audience and community How to spot a fake community The psychology behind people-pleasing content What makes a genuine community stick around through pivots, mistakes, and changes in your business How to start building real connection by detaching from metrics Connect with me: Website Join our email list! Listen in as I unpack: 1️⃣ The difference between being a hustler and a leader 2️⃣ How to hold a vision big enough for others to win too 3️⃣ Why your best ideas can fail under poor leadership 4️⃣ The three essential roles in every company: Visionary, Builder, and Integrator 5️⃣ How surrender — not control — became the key to leading better By the end, you'll understand how to develop leaders, not followers… and finally create a business that can grow without you doing it all.
In this episode of Hustle Inspires Hustle, Alex Quin breaks down practical, actionable strategies to help both e-commerce and service-based businesses succeed during Black Friday. He emphasizes the importance of keeping offers simple—such as clear tiered discounts or urgency-based service upgrades—to reduce friction and improve conversions. Alex stresses that successful marketing goes beyond flashy ads; it's about preparation across your funnel, creative assets, and backend systems. From fast-loading product pages to tight onboarding flows and accurate CRM tracking, every part of the customer journey needs to be ready. He also dives into content strategy and ad execution, encouraging brands to repurpose their top-performing content from earlier in the year with updated Black Friday messaging. Volume matters—especially with Meta's new Andromeda update—so having multiple creatives pre-approved and scheduled can lower costs and reduce last-minute stress. Whether paid or organic, campaigns should be well-structured and tracked meticulously. The core message? Black Friday isn't about hype—it's about execution, efficiency, and data-driven decisions.Episode Outline: [00:00] Welcome Back: Alex thanks listeners and sets up the Black Friday topic [00:15] Importance of Simplicity: Easy-to-understand offers and discounts [00:45] Service Business Tips: Creating urgency with bonuses and intro deals [01:10] Creative Strategy: Bold visuals, testimonials, and multi-format content [01:45] Funnel Tips: Fast product pages, clean checkout, single-action landing pages [02:10] Backend Systems: Fulfillment, calendar space, CRM, and onboarding readiness [02:40] Financial Modeling: Know your margins, track all costs [03:05] Repurposing Content: Use your best-performing content with new Black Friday angles [03:30] Meta Update & Scheduling: More creatives = lower cost; schedule everything early [04:00] Post-Purchase & Tracking: Upsells, LTV, CRM follow-ups, and clean analytics [04:20] Final Thought: Black Friday is about preparation, not just hypeWisdom Nuggets:Simplicity Sells: Your offer should be instantly understandable. Whether it's tiered discounts or bundled services, remove friction—no mental math or coupon codes.Urgency Wins: Black Friday thrives on limited-time offers. Add urgency through countdowns, limited bonuses, or time-sensitive upgrades to drive faster conversions.Prep the Back End: A killer front-end campaign fails without backend support. From ecom fulfillment to service onboarding systems, preparation prevents revenue leaks.Repurpose to Scale: Your best content from earlier in the year is your blueprint. Reuse proven assets with Black Friday messaging instead of creating from scratch.Track Everything or Risk Everything: If your data is off, your scaling efforts will fail. Ensure all pixels, UTMs, and analytics are accurate before campaigns go live.Power Quotes“The key is simplicity. * New * Valora - Your AI Business Coach Turn the wisdom from this episode into practical actions for your business in minutes. Access Valora here and get personalised actions for growth > The Secrets of Being a Bookable Speaker So many entrepreneurs wonder why some speakers are in constant demand while others struggle to get booked. In this episode of The Brilliant Business Book Festival, Maria Franzoni, former bureau insider and author of The Bookability Formula reveals the formula that makes speakers irresistible to event organizers. Drawing on decades of experience, Maria shows why being “bookable” has less to do with celebrity status and more to do with relevance, clarity, memorability, and ease. She also explains how entrepreneurs can use speaking not just for visibility, but as a powerful driver of business growth and influence. If you've ever wanted to know what makes organizers say yes and how to become the go-to choice in your field, this conversation will open your eyes. Prefer to WATCH? https://www.youtube.com/@melittacampbell “Bookable speakers aren't always the most famous — they're the ones who are relevant, memorable, and easy to work with.” – Maria Franzoni Beyond Star Power: What Really Gets You Booked Many assume that only celebrities or big-name experts get chosen for paid speaking gigs. Maria shows why that's a myth. The most booked speakers aren't always the most famous — they're the ones who are relevant, memorable, and easy to work with. She explains why clarity of message and consistency often matter more than a massive following, and how anyone can raise their profile by positioning themselves strategically. The Six Elements of Bookability Maria breaks down her framework into four foundations, a multiplier, and a divider: Relevance to a paying audience Known for one clear thing Memorable for both audiences and bookers Easy to find and work with Value as the multiplier (delivering clear ROI) Ego as the divider (too much can ruin everything) This combination reveals why some speakers build thriving businesses while others plateau. “Being known for one clear thing doesn't limit you — it's the key that opens the right doors.” – Maria Franzoni Niching Down to Open Doors One of the most counterintuitive insights Maria shares is that being known for one thing actually expands your opportunities. Just like Amazon started with books before becoming known for convenience, speakers who focus on one clear theme open the door to broader opportunities later. Value Beyond the Stage The most successful speakers don't just show up, deliver a talk, and leave. They think in terms of long-term value — creating ways for organizers and audiences to keep learning and benefiting from their expertise long after the speech is over. From books to recordings to tailored follow-up resources, Maria highlights creative ways speakers can multiply their impact (and income). The Power of Consistency Perhaps Maria's most practical reminder is that consistency builds visibility. If you're not regularly showing up where your audience is, you'll fall off their radar — no matter how good you are on stage. A Final Thought to Reflect On Becoming a bookable speaker isn't about chasing fame or filling your calendar with endless hustle. It's about clarity, relevance, and the consistent delivery of value. When you make it easy for others to work with you, when you show up consistently, and when you focus on solving the problems of a paying audience, opportunities begin to find you. So instead of asking, “How do I get on more stages?” try asking, “How can I make myself the obvious choice for the right stages?” That small shift in perspective can transform speaking from a side activity into a real engine for business growth. In today's world, even the best healthcare skills can go unnoticed if no one can find you online. Many practices end up spending a fortune on ads or working with agencies that promise big results but leave little to show for it. Meanwhile, smaller, more consistent actions often get overlooked—things that build trust and keep your name in front of the people who need you most. David Sanchez, founder of Digitalis Medical and host of the Medical Marketing Podcast, blends his nursing background with marketing expertise to help medical practices grow. Today, he shares his journey from healthcare to entrepreneurship and outlined the unique challenges of marketing in medicine. People need to know about you.” “If there's one thing you're going to do in marketing—if you don't want to learn everything—just do podcasting and do as much as you possibly can. Then make sure you link to your website, because the benefits of it are so massive.” “A few words can double or triple your click-through rate, and it can make the biggest impact on whether you can afford to keep running those or not.” Resources: Get 30 New Patients in 60 days. | Digitalis Follow David Sanchez on Facebook Connect with David Sanchez on LinkedIn

Have you ever felt like you were this close to a breakthrough — but gave up one step too soon? What if I told you that success, fulfillment, even weight loss might be waiting just one more try away? Today, I'm diving into Ed Mylett's book The Power of One More — a powerful reminder that the life you want is closer than you think. I love this book because it's not about massive changes — it's about stacking small decisions, one more rep, one more phone call, one more conversation, until your life compounds into massive momentum and real results. As business owners and CEOs, we often get complacent. We work really hard, start to make revenue and then we get comfortable and start to relax. What if you got out of your comfort zone and put in one more rep every day? Don't miss the latest episode of the DO IT MY WAY Podcast where I break down the power of one more and how you can apply it to your life!
If you're frustrated because your content isn't performing despite having great expertise and valuable insights to share, you can make a few simple swaps to address the issue. The problem isn't your knowledge, it's that you're using outdated content approaches and treating Instagram like it's your email list. Today I'm giving you specific content swaps that will take your posts from basic to scroll-stopping, because here's the truth: you can't just repurpose content across platforms and expect it to work. Every platform has a different purpose and people go there expecting different things. When you try to make your Instagram posts do the job of your emails or podcast episodes, everything suffers. I'm breaking down the exact swaps I use with my media mapping framework to transform generic topics into platform-native content that actually converts. From connection-focused posts that go beyond "here's my morning routine" to credibility content that does more than just share client screenshots, these swaps will help you create content that feels fresh, specific, and engaging. The reality is that many of you think you're bad at content creation, but you're actually just being lazy with your content strategy. You're stuck in a repurposing cycle that's making you work harder, not smarter, because content that doesn't perform means you have to create two to three times more of it to get the same results. In today's episode, we're talking about: Why diary-style posts aren't connecting How to make trend-based content actually valuable The credibility content upgrade Why your framework posts aren't landing The platform-specific approach Connect with me: Website Join our email list! Episode 168 In this episode, Frank Garay sits down with Steve Kyles to talk about one of the most overlooked — and most profitable — referral strategies out there: getting agents to refer you to other agents. Most loan officers are laser-focused on winning one agent at a time… but what if every great agent you work with could open the door to 3 or 4 more, just like them? Frank and Steve break down the mindset, methods, and exact moments to ask for these referrals — without being pushy or awkward. If you're ready to stop chasing cold leads and start creating warm introductions that grow your agent network fast, this one's for you. Want the handout with all 5 scripts from this episode? As CEOs and entrepreneurs we're masters at helping others clarify their vision, set goals, and stay accountable. But when it comes to our own businesses? Too often, we fall into the trap of neglecting our brand, our strategy, and our growth. This podcast is your reminder—and your roadmap—to start practicing what you preach. This episode dives into the common blind spots coaches face, why we put clients first at our own expense, and practical ways to finally follow our own advice. If you're ready to model the work you ask of others, this is the podcast for you. Guess who I wrote this podcast for? ME! I was listening to a marketing podcast on my morning walk where they were talking about having five pillars in their social media content posting. I was nodding my head because I coach on this all of the time. I draw out the five pillars for my clients on my whiteboard to make sure they implement it. Suddenly, it hit me! I WAS NOT FOLLOWING MY OWN ADVICE! I looked about our social media for the DO IT MY WAY brand and realized we were only hitting ONE of the pillars really well! We are so busy working on our client's brands that we often neglect our own. It is so important to take time out every week to work as a CEO on your business instead of being in the day to day! Check out these three powerful shifts that I am implementing immediately in our business on the latest episode of the DO IT MY WAY Podcast!
If you're spending hours creating beautiful content that gets crickets for engagement, the problem isn't your design skills or your expertise. It's probably your content topics! This episode will show you exactly how to fix it. Today I'm breaking down the framework I use to evaluate every single content topic before it goes live. Here's the truth: a great content topic can make mediocre design and copy perform well, but even the most beautiful, expertly crafted content will flop if the topic doesn't land. I spend more time ideating content topics than I do on creative, editing, or scripting, because when you nail the topic, everything else becomes easier. I'm sharing the exact 5 filter system I use to test whether a content topic will actually stop the scroll and convert, or if it's destined to get lost in the noise. From understanding the difference between "specific" and "niche" (they're not the same thing) to making sure your topics showcase your unique expertise without being too broad, this framework will transform how you approach content creation. I'm giving you real examples from my own content, including posts that could have performed better and exactly how I would fix them using this system. Plus, I'm sharing how this process saves me time on caption writing because when your content topic is strong enough, you don't need to rely on heavy captions to carry the message. In today's episode, we're talking about: Why content topics matter more than design or copy The difference between "specific" and "niche" How to make content personal to your expertise without making it hyper niche The attention-grabbing formula that gets people to stop scrolling Why trying to teach a "whole textbook" in one post is killing your engagement Connect with me: Website Join our email list!
