Read transcriptGather ‘round, Dragon Ball devotees and gluttons for punishment! This week on Play Comics, we're subjecting ourselves to the digital equivalent of getting hit by Frieza's Death Beam repeatedly-Dragon Ball Z Taiketsu for the Game Boy Advance. Imagine taking the most explosive anime franchise in history and cramming it into a game with all the fiery intensity of a damp firecracker. Spoiler alert: This isn't a battle for glory-it's a battle for survival against one of the most bafflingly awful licensed games ever conceived. Joining me in this masochistic quest is Andrew Young from Behold!, who's agreed to lend his expertise (and his remaining sanity) to dissect this pixelated travesty. Together, we'll answer the burning question: How did a game about planet-destroying superhumans end up feeling as thrilling as watching paint dry on Master Roshi's houseboat? Hint: It involves more clipping issues than Yamcha's career and combat mechanics flatter than Krillin's scalp. From animations that resemble a PowerPoint presentation gone rogue to a soundtrack that sounds like a kazoo orchestra trapped in a washing machine, Taiketsu doesn't just drop the ball-it spikes it into the core of the Earth, unleashes a Spirit Bomb of disappointment, and then forgets to animate the explosion. Whether you're here for the schadenfreude or just morbid curiosity, grab your Dragon Radar and a stiff drink. This episode's gonna hurt. A lot. Learn such things as: What happens when the developers are put not only behind the 8 ball, but also in front of a really high cliff on a windy day and that cliff is made of ice? So I guess games really do need a story don't they? Even if it's just a hand wave at one. Is this the new worst representation of the comic source material? And so much more! You can find Andrew by looking at the Behold! account on Twitter or of course the Behold! website. You should especially check out the episode looking at X-Men 97 because I love that series and need something good in my life, and the episode looking at Fan4stick because it has me in it. In this inspiring and practical episode of the Reason to Behold podcast, Tolu and Arnold dive into the power of dreaming—and why it's something we often neglect as adults. From childhood imagination to God-given creative capacity, they unpack how dreaming, visualising and imagining are deeply spiritual tools that can shape our lives when used intentionally. If you've been stuck focusing more on your fears than your faith, this episode will reignite your God-given ability to see before you see it. Key Discussion Points 00:01 – Introduction: “The dream is free” Arnold kicks off with a reflection on dreaming as a divine gift from God and how adults tend to lose touch with their imagination over time. 01:05 – Childhood Imagination & Belief Formation Arnold shares how childhood shows like Dragon Ball Z sparked a powerful sense of belief through imagination. 03:20 – Dreaming Intentionally vs Dwelling on Nightmares Tolu challenges listeners to shift focus from fear-based thinking to faith-fuelled dreaming. 04:57 – The Superhomes Analogy: “If he can, why not me?” Tolu breaks down how watching ambitious property shows sparked new levels of vision and challenged limiting beliefs. 05:23 – Creating Order from Chaos Like Our Creator Arnold takes us to Genesis, showing how God saw the void and imagined light—reminding us that dreaming starts in darkness. 07:08 – Seeing Opportunity in Chaos From workplace gripes to life's chaos, they talk about shifting perspective to see divine opportunities in disorder. 12:25 – Knowing When to Pray and When to Speak Tolu and Arnold explore the difference between asking God and using the dominion He's already given us to act. 14:04 – Faith Needs Action: God Partners With Us They stress that while God can work miracles, He often invites us to take action—just like walking around Jericho or slinging a stone like David. 15:40 – Childlike Faith & Imperfect Journeys Arnold reflects on how faith isn't always tidy or clear, but God honours the courage to believe like a child. 20:26 – Final Encouragement: Dream on Purpose The episode ends with a reminder that dreaming costs nothing—but not dreaming may cost you everything God had in store. Highlights From The Episode “We don't focus on the dream—we focus on the nightmare.” “Faith doesn't cost money, but it will cost you your fears.” “God saw the void and said, ‘Let there be light'—He imagined order in the midst of chaos.” “Sometimes you pray, sometimes you say, sometimes you just need to jump.” “Faith isn't always neat, but God delights in it all the same.” Practical Steps You Can Take Set daily ‘dream time' – Try scheduling 5–10 minutes to just imagine possibilities, without limitations. Speak order over chaos – Wherever you see confusion, ask God for vision and declare His truth. Ask for discernment – Is this a situation to pray through, or to speak into with authority? Write down your dreams – Make them visible. Habakkuk 2:2 reminds us to write the vision and make it plain. Challenge limiting beliefs – When doubt creeps in, replace it with “Why not me?” Relevant Themes Covered Dreaming with God Faith and Imagination Biblical dominion and authority Creating with words Childlike belief Vision and purpose Fear vs Faith Connect with RTB For podcast updates, exclusive daily devotional emails and more, join the RTB community! Every so often, someone takes an anime and makes a live action adaptation of it. Fist of the North Star is one of those attempts. Hey what's up, anime lovers! It's ya boy Raysean, and welcome back to the Raysean Gadson Anime Podcast—aka R-GAP!Today, we're continuing our Dragon Ball Z marathon with an absolute banger—episodes 150 to 160, where we witness the birth of Perfect Cell! I'm joined by my guy Josh from DAS, and we're breaking down our Top 5 favorite moments, one thing we didn't vibe with, and everything in between. We kick things off with Cell interrupting the epic fight between Android 17 and Piccolo, thanking Piccolo for unintentionally leading him right to the androids. Piccolo warns 17, but it's already too late—Cell's on a mission. Android 16 steps up to stall him, nearly pulling off a victory, but Cell's Z-Fighter DNA lets him regenerate. He absorbs 17, knocks out 16, and sets his sights on 18.Tien puts his life on the line to slow him down, and just when things get critical, Goku steps in to save the day—buying time for a real showdown.Meanwhile, Vegeta and Trunks are deep in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber, leveling up and unlocking that Super Vegeta energy. Vegeta goes head-to-head with Cell and starts dominating—until Cell tempts him with the chance to fight his perfect form. And we all know Vegeta's pride can't resist a challenge…Krillin, caught between love and duty, destroys the controller that could've stopped Android 18—because yes, my guy caught feelings. Cell ends up absorbing 18, triggering natural disasters, and BOOM—Perfect Cell is here. He casually kicks Krillin near-death and doesn't even break a sweat.

In Season 9, Episode 2 — the second track of the As a Man series, Volume 2, titled “As a Man Thinketh,” Izzy Baker sits down with international bestselling author, TEDx speaker, and mind mapping coach John Diggs for one of the most transformative conversations of the season. Inspired by Future Trunks from Dragon Ball Z, the rapper Future, and the scriptures Jeremiah 29:11 and Luke 14:28, this episode is all about designing your life with intentionality, not chaos. Whether you've ever asked, “Am I supposed to be here?” while stuck in a dead-end job or felt like God's voice went silent, this conversation brings clarity instead of clichés. John shares how hitting rock bottom at his mother's house became the launchpad for his purpose. One book changed everything and led him to create Mappineering, a system he now teaches as a tool for life design, mindset rewiring, and emotional healing. Izzy and John explore what it means to outgrow old versions of yourself. They discuss spiritual burnout, emotional clutter, and the silent anxiety many men carry when their life doesn't align with their identity. This is about breaking mental strongholds, not chasing more success. They also explore how mind mapping improves emotional clarity, reduces stress, and provides a blueprint for career and personal transformation. You'll hear practical insight into how the right questions—who, what, when, where, and why can uncover the path God's been showing you all along. If you've been mentally drained, spiritually numb, or quietly confused about your direction, this episode is your reset button. Send us a textThis podcast is about dealing with your identity struggle as part of the Asian diaspora. I share personal stories and sometimes interview others to promote healthy, honest conversations about what it means to carry trauma, resentment, and confusion—and how we move toward peace, joy, and self-love. I don't have all the answers. This is an ongoing conversation. But today, I have a solution: learn martial arts.If you're a young, lost kid struggling with your identity like I was, this can change your life. It might not solve everything, but it will transform you—physically, mentally, emotionally. Go find a dojo. Book a class. If it's not the right fit, find another. Keep showing up. That's the secret: consistency. On this show, I talk a lot about accepting your cultural identity—learning to forgive your family, let go of resentment toward your mother culture, and finally accept yourself. But maybe I've been overthinking it. Maybe you just need to get your ass kicked… and then learn how to kick ass.Even if you're not into martial arts yet, it'll still help. You'll gain strength, confidence, discipline—and most importantly, you'll start respecting yourself. That's what I would've told my 15-year-old depressed, awkward, gooning, video game–addicted self. I'd throw him into a dojo and watch that flabby blob turn into a diamond stud. Now I'm 32. I'm in the best shape of my life. I go to the gym five days a week. I box. I just tried muay thai for the first time (shoutout to Byron). I'm a blue belt in Kyokushin karate with three years of training, and I wish I had started at 15. (Big shoutout to San Diego Kyokushin Karate and Sogyel Sensei—thank you!)Were you into Dragon Ball Z, Bruce Lee, Tekken, or Final Fantasy? I'm telling you: lean into your Main Character Syndrome. Become the hero of your own story. Martial arts will get you fit, teach you how to protect yourself, and give you the energy that says “I'm not someone to mess with.” You'll walk taller. You'll carry yourself with quiet, calm confidence. You won't be stuck in your head all the time. You'll be punching, kicking, sweating, growing. And yeah, if you're stronger and more confident, your dating life improves. If you're more disciplined, your work improves. Because how you do one thing is how you do everything.Martial arts makes you a better person. And if you're Asian, it connects you to a deep, ancient legacy. If you're not Asian, you're still joining a global tradition. The Ancestors will smile on you.Channel your pain—rage, sadness, neglect, confusion—into one clean punch of pure positive intent. A kamehameha wave from your soul. Change your life. Then change the world. Here's the twist: there is no solution to the identity struggle. Because it was never a problem. It only has power when you obsess over it. Once you move differently, live with strength and purpose, that struggle starts to fade. You've just proven to yourself that you're capable. That you can do pushups, throw a kick, protect your loved ones, and make a difference.Do it for 15-year-old you. Do it for your future self. Do it for the ones you love. Do it for your ancestors. Do it for love.Fantastic video if you want to get started in martial arts:DAY ONE | What I'd Do If I Was Starting From ScratchBruce Lee: Be like water (Inspirational)Support the show

C. Brennan Knight joins Jimmy on the Cryptid Creator Corner to chat about the current Kickstarter campaign for Tyrant Fall #3, which launches today, April 1st. You can hit the link below to check out the campaign. Brennan describes Tyrant Fall as if Dragon Ball Z was published by Heavy Metal Magazine. He has a long plan for the series and discusses the origins of the series with Jimmy, along with working with artist Max Davenport. Brennan also talks about being a natural introvert and how the promotional part of the crowdfunding experience is particularly exhausting. Tyrant Fall is a great series and Jimmy says fans of Remender and Opena's Seven to Eternity will love, plus the remainder of the creative team is the extremely talented Roman Stevens and Rob Jones. From the KS page for Tyrant Fall #1: Thousands of years ago, the elven Fae Lords benevolently ruled over the world, overseeing an era of peace. Witnessing the ascend of human civilization, the Fae Lords returned to their home realm, the Fae. To mankind, they bestowed two final gifts: dominion of the world and the ancient knowledge of magic. The Fae Lords peace ended at the hands of the Dragons, tyrants who rose to power as they warred amongst themselves. Their strength, inhuman. Their rule, absolute. None have escaped their oppression. But there are those ready to fight the impossible fight to free the world from tyranny. Enter Myrta, warrior of the Rebellion, humanity's last resistance against the Dragons. As a child, she could only watch and run as the Red Dragon destroyed her life. Now, fifteen years later, she has returned. Armed with the power to get her vengeance, Myrta readies to attack the Red Dragon's citadel. Little does she know what fate awaits her within. Episode Description: On this special St. Patrick's Day episode of Nonsense, FNBob goes all out in green while kicking things off with a double “One's Got to Go” featuring Green Villains (Shego, Green Goblin, Riddler, Leprechaun) and Green Heroes (Beast Boy, Yoda, Link, Piccolo). Then, we dive into FNBob's Chicago St. Paddy's adventures before somehow ending up in a tech debate—Henvincible is in the market for a new gaming PC while FNBob stays loyal to his Asus ROG Ally X. Next, it's a nostalgic trip through Disney Channel Original Movies, with classics like Luck of the Irish, Double Teamed, and Full-Court Miracle. Finally, we break down the greatest movie trilogies and why Hollywood still can't make a good video game movie (seriously, why is this so hard?). From chaotic debates to childhood nostalgia, tech talk, and St. Paddy's shenanigans, this episode is all over the place in the best way possible! Episode Highlights:

Welcome to a mind-blowing episode of Nephilim Death Squad! Join hosts Raven, Top Lobster, and special guest Brian from Demon Erasers as they dive deep into the hidden layers of Dragon Ball Z. From Goku's serpentine origins to the demonic symbolism in Japanese lore, we're tearing it all down. Brian breaks down the esoteric roots of DBZ, exposing how it's been “Nephilimized” to normalize wickedness in our culture. Plus, stick around for a powerful rant on media's spellcasting grip on our souls. On this episode of the Nonsense Podcast, we kick things off with a "Choose Your Exotic Pet" debate featuring a Tiger, Eagle, Alligator, or Elephant—with Henvincible repping his love for big cats and FNBob torn between looking cool or plotting revenge. Then, some light shade at Joe Budden somehow leads us down a rabbit hole of 2000s hip-hop video games, from Def Jam: Fight for NY to 50 Cent: Bulletproof and even True Crime: Streets of LA. The nostalgia runs deep before we talk about what we're currently playing—and discover that GameFly still exists?! Then, Henvincible hypes up C2E2, Chicago's version of Comic-Con, discussing dream guests, panels, and what makes it worth the trip. And finally, we wrap things up with a conversation about how being a boyfriend is a full-time job, and why FNBob relished his first weekend alone without Kelly—because sometimes, a man just needs his space! Episode Highlights:
On this episode of the Nonsense Podcast, we kick things off by choosing the most legendary dynamic duo, with contenders like the Red and Green Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, Leo and Raph from the Ninja Turtles, Ryu and Ken from Street Fighter, and Sub-Zero and Scorpion from Mortal Kombat. Then, it's time for a taste test as we try the elusive Buldak Ramen—though, for once, there's no trick involved to force Henvincible into a spice-induced meltdown. Next, FNBob brings in some of the wildest news stories from across the world, including Japanese grandmas forming hunting squads to battle rogue monkeys and NYC rats devouring over 10,000 pounds of confiscated weed. Somehow, this leads to FNBob presenting his most ridiculous idea yet: a Dragon Ball Z-inspired plan to permanently take down the Mexican Cartel. Finally, we wrap things up with a discussion on music, where FNBob keeps the Jay-Z slander alive and admits he's not a fan of the new wave of battle rappers. This episode is chaotic, hilarious, and full of ideas that should absolutely never be taken seriously. Episode Highlights:
