Friends of the Rosary,Today, July 15, is the Memorial Day of Saint and mystic Bonaventure, Bishop and Doctor of the Church (1221-1274), a thirteenth-century Italian saint, known as the Seraphic Doctor. As the General of the Franciscan Order, he consolidated the institution and was even considered a second founder.Teacher and preacher, he was a unique personality, beloved by God and men alike, who attracted everyone who saw him.Unsurpassed in sanctity, wisdom, and eloquence, he was gifted, as with a skill of accomplishing things. St. Bonaventure had not only a winning disposition, but a heart full of love, pious, charitable, and rich in virtue and wisdom. His contemporaries are said to have believed that no one was "more handsome, more holy, or more learned" than he.In philosophy, he was the principal leader of the Platonic-Augustinian school of Franciscan thought; as such, he stood opposed to the Aristotelianism that was making its way into the schools of the time (represented by Thomas Aquinas).Bonaventure's Life of St. Francis was a favorite book of the Middle Ages.Dante had already included him among the inhabitants of his "Paradise."Ave Maria!Come, Holy Spirit, come!To Jesus through Mary! Here I am, Lord; I come to do your will. Please give us the grace to respond with joy!+ Mikel Amigot w/ María Blanca | RosaryNetwork.com, New YorkEnhance your faith with the new Holy Rosary University app:Apple iOS | New! Host Jesse Jackson welcomes Mireille Cameron, his Zendesk account manager, to Set Lusting Bruce to discuss her South Louisiana and North Carolina upbringing, early musical influences (Cajun, Zydeco, jazz, bluegrass, Prince), and how music shaped her life. Mireille shares why she finally saw Bruce Springsteen for the first time on the current tour in Cleveland over Memorial Day weekend, drawn by his longevity, message, and the communal, family-oriented concert culture. They talk about the show's powerful opening, standout moments like “Long Walk Home,” the band's energy and size, Bruce's three-hour no-break performance, and audience reactions. Mireille and her husband compare the experience to other live-music bucket list shows, discuss artists they've seen and hope to see, and she answers the podcast's “Mary” question. 00:39 Work Worlds Collide 01:57 Growing Up Musical 03:57 Louisiana Culture Vibes 06:28 No Music Rebellion 09:00 First Bruce Show Plans 10:45 Arena Family Energy 12:17 Opening Punch War 15:59 Surprises And Stamina 19:18 Band Highlights And Encore 22:58 Balancing Fans and Growth 24:21 Hopeful Songs and Unity 26:01 Bucket List Concerts 28:51 Local Shows and Folk Finds 30:00 New Orleans Music Trip 31:23 Festivals Food and Family 32:48 Clifton Chenier VIP Moment 34:48 Thunder Road Car Debate Learn more about your ad choices. It's mid-July. You started the summer with good intentions. And somewhere between the cookouts, the vacations, the late nights, and the "just this once" moments that have been stacking up since Memorial Day - your routine quietly dissolved. You're not tracking. You're not hitting your protein. You're eating whatever is fastest because the day got away from you again. And you've been saying "I'll reset after this weekend" for six weeks. This isn't a discipline problem. This is what happens when you spend an entire season with no structure and no plan. And today I'm giving you three specific steps to refocus before August arrives and the whole summer is gone. You'll learn:Why mid-July is its own specific challenge - and why the "just this once" events that have been stacking since Memorial Day are not a moral failing, they're a predictable response to an unstructured seasonWhy avoiding the scale and the food log is quietly making everything worse - and what looking at the number actually does for your momentumHow to pick one anchor habit for the next two weeks that keeps you connected to your goals while summer swirls around youWhy the "what's for dinner" problem is the single most underestimated driver of off-rails eating in summer - and the exact fixThe 60-second AI trick I use to solve dinner before it becomes a crisis: the exact prompt to type into ChatGPT or Claude to get five high-protein, under-30-minute summer meals built around what you actually have in your kitchenWhy the women who arrive at Labor Day feeling strong are not the ones who were perfect all summer - they're the ones who noticed the slide in mid-July and did something about itIt is not too late to salvage the second half of your summer. Not even a little bit.Three things. That's all this takes. Let's do it.AI Prompt: "I need dinner ideas for this week. I want meals that are under 30 minutes, high in protein, and light enough for summer because I don't want to stand over a hot stove. I have chicken, shrimp, and ground turkey in my freezer. I need options that work for a busy woman who might be coming in from outdoor activities and needs something fast. Can you give me five ideas with a quick description of each?"Join us in Inspire Nutrition! Use the link here and code JULY30 and save $30 instantly! https://inspirehw.com/nutritionLegion Supplements. Boss Your Business: The Pet Boss Podcast with Candace D'Agnolo
July has always been known as one of the slower retail months so Candace made a strategic decision: go big or go home. Dante and Dory's threw a patriotic pet sale from Friday, July 3rd through Monday, July 6th. The result? $3,000 more in sales than Memorial Day weekend (about a month earlier), driven by 100 additional transactions. This episode is a complete behind-the-scenes walkthrough of how she planned it, executed it, and what she learned - plus strategies you can apply to your own holiday sale. Listen now to hear:
Grief is a strange thing to show up for publicly when you're still right in the middle of it, and honestly, parts of what I'm going through right now feel so private and so deep that I'm not even sure I have the language for it yet. But I felt called to share, because some of this might help someone. A few weeks ago I recorded an episode about losing Huxley unexpectedly on Memorial Day. If you haven't heard that one yet, go back and listen first. This episode is what's come after and what I've leaned into to heal and process my loss. It feels like I'm in the middle of a big spiritual awakening. Something about grief this deep, when you actually let yourself feel it instead of escaping it, has a way of shaking loose everything you thought you knew about yourself. My values, my worldview, my identity, how I want to show up in this work is all up for questioning. In this episode I'm sharing four specific things that have been genuinely helping me move through loss. IN THIS EPISODE Why I deleted the games off my phone and started auditing where I was unconsciously checking out The 14 books I read last month and why grief sent me deep into Jungian analysis, shamanic practices, and dream interpretation What dream interpretation has opened up for me, including a dream where Huxley showed me something I needed to hear The signs Huxley keeps sending me and why I've stopped dismissing what my intuition points to The February knowing I had about Huxley's time, and what that's taught me about trusting what I feel even when my logical brain argues back Why writing, including poetry that I haven't written since high school, has been the most healing thing of all What writing my second book from a coffee shop overlooking the ocean has felt like during all of this Thank you for the outpouring of love and messages since the last episode. Over four hundred of you reached out to share your love and sympathy. It has meant everything. This community is something I don't take for granted.
