Hello to you listening in Dong Nai, Vietnam!Coming to you from Whidbey Island, Washington this is Stories From Women Who Walk with 60 Seconds for Wednesdays on Whidbey and your host, Diane Wyzga.Imagine this: parents taking matters into their own hands and dialing back on their children's cell phone access by bringing landlines into their homes. In one dad's words, “Landlines strip communication skills back to basics.”What makes this move look like something out of The Wayback Machine? Because it confronts the digital mainstream with unsung values grounded in new ideas. In our house this is how we're doing it; not so much to return to artifacts of the past but to values, manners, civility, listening, and a way of being in the world that is not tied down to and held hostage by the ever-present DEVICE. I believe that our yearning for a more humane way of life in this digital age is showing up in what we decide to let go of as well as what we choose to hold on to. Click HERE to watch the 4-minute Today Show segment to learn more.Question: It's not just about a mom or a dad with an idea but an idea that's resonating. What ideas do you have to marry the pre- and post-digital worlds by calling on the unsung values of the old ways? You're always welcome: "Come for the stories - Stay for the magic!" You swore you were past it.You journaled, forgave, meditated, did the work. But then a photo shows up, or someone says his name, and your chest tightens again. That's resentment — the emotion that doesn't move out just because you tell it to.In this episode, we stop pretending it's gone.We talk about what keeps it alive, why it feeds on validation, and what's hiding under all that anger.Joy shares the text that broke her cool...Tiff opens up about being the one who always held it all together while he got to play the “fun dad.”...And I talk about the moment I realized my resentment wasn't about him anymore (it was about the part of me that still didn't feel safe alone). We get honest about the apology that never helps, the waiting for closure that keeps you stuck, and the small ways resentment protects you from feeling the harder stuff underneath: grief, fear, loneliness, shame. If you've ever thought, “Why can't I just move on?” — this one's for you.✨ Join Premium where we dont just name the pain- we release it! Fundraising is full of familiar phrases—but some might be past their prime. In this episode, Bryan and Greg swap stories, share mild rants, and explore the words and clichés that feel tired, stale, or overused in nonprofit fundraising.
Some hauntings don't live in houses — they live in people. For her, the paranormal wasn't an interest. It was a birthright. Her father, an empath, once described his ability as “a frequency you can't shut off.” When he died, that frequency didn't fade — it grew stronger. And now, years later, the presence that's shadowed her since childhood is louder than ever. It doesn't just linger in dark corners. It interacts. It speaks. It touches. Her boyfriends wake in the night choking, pinned by unseen hands. She wakes covered in bruises shaped like fingers. Lights flick on by themselves, doors unlock, and her Chihuahua barks into empty corners until it collapses in exhaustion. And always, when the air turns cold and the walls begin to hum, the voice returns — whispering one phrase again and again: “Stop fighting it.” This isn't a story about belief. It's about survival. Because sometimes the most terrifying hauntings don't want to scare you. Feelings of regret can be one of life's heaviest burdens. I'm sure most people have choices and decisions that they've regretted in their lives, and I'm no different. But what I've learned is that regret doesn't have to be a source of suffering; it can be one of our greatest teachers if we let it. In today's episode, I thought I'd share a very personal letter that I recently wrote to my kids about the biggest regrets of my life. Things like all the precious moments that I've missed that I'll never get back, and moving away from loved ones I wish I'd stayed close to. These are the lessons that taught me that family and loved ones should always come first, no matter what. Ultimately, this episode is about learning to release the weight of regret and transform it into wisdom. We can't change the past, but we can use it to shape a more intentional, love-centered future. My hope is that you'll reflect on your own life, forgive yourself for what you can't undo, learn from it, and make different choices moving forward. This way, when you look back on your life, you won't be reliving the past; you'll look back fondly on what matters most. P.S. BT & Sal react to Aaron Glenn's fiery press conference post-trade deadline, praising his "unwavering conviction" and transparent messaging to a frustrated fan base. They dissect his stance on the Quinnen Williams/Sauce Gardner trade and his refusal to deal Breece Hall, analyzing whether the moves signify a genuine turnaround. Then, the hosts dive deep into Mets and Yankees free agency with real betting odds on stars like Alex Bregman, Bo Bichette, Cody Bellinger, and Kyle Tucker. They debate the "stupid business" of long-term deals for closers and DHs, exploring the dilemma for the Mets: do they meet Pete Alonso's price, or demand he become a "bulk DH" to prioritize defense? Finally, the "Call of the Day" is a hilarious detour into Hof's secret Sydney Sweeney "hall pass" and the astronomical cost of MSG tickets, with Sal venting about paying nearly $500 for regular-season Knicks seats.

This episode dives into the concept of detachment, learning how to let go, stop overthinking, and stop settling for less in relationships. Sabrina Bendory, author of 'Detached: How to Let Go, Heal, and Become Irresistible,' joins Gabby to share her approach to reclaiming self-worth and embracing emotional freedom. Sabrina's work as a relationship coach, writer, and influencer focuses on helping people stop chasing love and start attracting it by building confidence, regulating emotions, and reconnecting with their own values. Drawing on psychological insights and practical tools, she explains that detachment is not about indifference or game-playing, but about creating a grounded, authentic sense of self that no longer relies on external validation. Throughout the conversation, Gabby and Sabrina examine how fear and self-doubt influence attachment, the stories we tell ourselves, and the ways letting go can lead to deeper self-trust, clarity, and magnetic authenticity. Gabby shares why she chose Detached as the November Book of the Month, describing how it helped her uncover personal insecurities, reframe negative self-talk, and recognize that much of her anxiety was in her own mind. Gabby and Sabrina unpack the psychology behind attachment and how it influences our romantic decisions, revealing how a shift toward self-acceptance can transform not only our relationships but also our overall well-being. They explore the energetic dynamics of connection - how clinginess can be felt on a visceral level and why it often pushes others away. Plus, Sabrina shares powerful insights from her book Detached, a must-read for anyone ready to stop settling and start thriving. Sabrina Bendory is a globally recognized expert in dating and relationships. As co-founder of A New Mode, she has guided millions of people with relatable, insightful advice and continues to share her expertise through Thought Catalog, TikTok, Instagram, and private coaching. This is a Grave Talks CLASSIC EPISODE! It was supposed to be a normal day in the late '70s — bad perms, disco on the radio, and teenage daydreams. But for Ellen MacNeil, that day would change her life forever. It began with a feeling — a heaviness she couldn't shake, a shadow that lingered behind every laugh in the high school hallway. Then came the signs. The photo of her brother falling from the wall. Her watch freezing in time. A strange chill that seemed to move with her through the house. And the phone call — the one that confirmed what her soul already knew. Her brother had been killed in Vietnam. But death didn't stop him from coming home. In the days that followed, Ellen's world turned surreal. The lights flickered. Pictures shifted. Objects moved on their own. It was as if her brother's spirit refused to let her grieve alone — determined to show her he was still there, protecting her, guiding her, and refusing to fade away. Decades later, Ellen still remembers that strange and beautiful haunting — proof that sometimes love doesn't end when the heartbeat does. Because family ties don't just survive death… they haunt it. This is Part Two of our conversation. #RealGhostStories #VietnamGhostStory #ParanormalEncounters #TrueGhostStory #FamilyHaunting #AfterlifeConnection #GhostlyPresence #SpiritOfAWarHero #HauntedByLove #ParanormalPodcast Love real ghost stories? 10/26/25 Signs Of Life: Let Go of What Makes You Stop by Heritage Church
Someone's hanging from a high ledge, ready to fall! They're yelling for help and losing strength. Now, they hold on with only one hand. You know emergency teams will never make it in time. Frantically, you grab a nearby sturdy tarp and enlist five or six strong-looking by-standers to hold tightly on corners and sides - a "make-shift" life-net directly below. Realizing the person is about to fall, yet is filled with fear, you yell, "Let go. It'll be OK." This is #6 in a series on hope. Read More ... Are you tired, overwhelmed, or wondering if you can keep holding on to your faith? King Hezekiah's story reminds us what's possible when we refuse to let go of God.In 2 Kings 18, we meet Hezekiah—a king who "clung to the Lord" and didn't depart from following Him. Unlike other kings who did right "but" left compromises in place, Hezekiah went all in. He removed the high places, tore down idols, and even destroyed the bronze serpent Moses made because people had turned it into an idol. His life shows us that it's possible not just to start strong with God, but to stay strong and finish strong.
When Casey from Dallas, Texas was a child, her mother woke up night after night with small handprints and bruises on her legs — the size of a child's. As Casey grew older, those same marks began to appear on her arms and legs, even after moving to a new house. The activity didn't stop — it followed them. One night, her parents watched a young girl in a white nightgown drift down the hallway and walk straight into the wall. The next morning, every child in the house had been sound asleep. Years later, the strange presence resurfaced where Casey least expected it — her job at Wendy's. Late nights brought whispers, shadows moving across the dining room, and footsteps echoing through locked doors. Was this the same entity that tormented her as a child? Or had she simply attracted something darker along the way? From a child spirit that never grew up to a restaurant that never truly closes, this is one haunting that proves some ghosts never leave — they just find new places to play. #ghoststory #realghoststoriesonline #haunting #DallasHaunting #WendysGhost #childspirit #paranormal #trueghoststory #creepyencounters #supernatural #hauntedplaces #realhaunting Love real ghost stories? Today's episode is a tender one that was difficult to record. Rachel opens up about her fear of death. She discusses how this fear has shaped her throughout her life, from her childhood when it was formed, through motherhood, up until this very moment. And after a traumatic experience in her home and losing her entire flock of chickens - it seems death has been surrounding her a lot lately. But there is a truth that exists: there is no life without death. How can we navigate the uncertainty of life and still let go enough to enjoy it? How do we know when to listen to our intuition and act versus when to accept that we have no real control? Tune in for an episode that will break your heart open and remind you that while everyone dies - not everyone truly lives. If you've ever stood in a cluttered room thinking, "But what if I need this later?"—this episode is for you. In this short and powerful story, I'm sharing what happened when my son Levi, a lifelong Lego lover, walked into the room and said something I never thought I'd hear: "Mom, I don't need my Legos anymore." What?! My jaw dropped. But here's the beautiful part—he didn't let go because I nagged or convinced him. He let go because he saw them differently. And that's exactly what we're unpacking in this episode. Whether it's Legos, clothes, mugs, or treadmills, we all have stuff that once felt meaningful… until it didn't. Letting go becomes easy when you understand the 3 quiet shifts that lead to readiness. What You'll Learn: Why readiness to declutter isn't about willpower—it's about perspective The 3 subtle mindset shifts that make it easier to let go (space, value, impact) How to help your kids—or yourself—release clutter without forcing it A gentle reframe if you're feeling stuck or not "ready" to part with something Ready to go deeper with support, decluttering momentum, and a step-by-step plan? A family home built in the 1800s becomes the heart of a haunting that refuses to fade. When a young girl loses her grandmother, she thinks death means goodbye—until the night she wakes to find her standing by the window, glowing in blue light, wearing the same gown she was buried in. Years later, the house still breathes with memories. Footsteps echo in empty rooms, the air grows heavy on the stairs, and two siblings share the same nightmare—of a closet that doesn't exist. When renovations uncover the faint outline of that sealed-off space beneath the carpet, they realize the dream wasn't just a dream. Something inside the walls has been waiting. Is this a ghost born of love—or something that simply refuses to die?
