Want to know the true secret to growing a business? Psst, it's the customers. This week's episode will make your company start caring about its customers. Today's guest is Mark Donnigan, Virtual CMO at Growth Stage Marketing. Listen in as Mark joins host, Casey Cheshire, and shares his hack on building a better relationship with your customers through excellent business strategy.     Busted Myths:  Companies can have a great strategy and never lose customers. Takeaways: Learn your competitor's tools, then learn their process, and then implement it. It is all about driving more usage and purchase of their solution. It is not actually about selling our products. Just because you hire someone who is good on paper does not mean that they are going to be great. Actions speak louder than words. Get on sales calls and go to sales calls. This will help you learn about your customers and about other businesses.  No matter what you have going on with your business. The customers most likely will not care. They only care about what they will get out of it. They only care if it has anything to do with them.  Marketing podcasts are a great way to get real-time marketing information. Marketing books are typically made within the year while podcasts are made almost every week. Diversity of thought is required because without it, we would fail. We would not execute meetings well it will lead to no business impact. It's more important to get any information to your customers. Make it readily available, and make it easily accessible for your customer.     Quote of the Show: “The customer does not care about us. They only care about them.” (11:28) Book Recommendations: Play Bigger by Al Ramadan, Dave Peterson, Christopher Lochhead, and Kevin Maney     Links: LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/markdonnigan/ Website: https://growthstage.marketing/ Podcast: https://www.owltail.com/people/ORNFP-mark-donnigan/appearances  Company Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCWivu309kk1u1P9jrcv3jLA Ways to Tune In: Apple Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/the-hard-corps-marketing-show/id1338838763 Amazon Music/Audible: https://music.amazon.com/podcasts/37228621-2f9c-4905-a223-1844effb49dd Spotify:  https://open.spotify.com/show/1vVLpNI1LssMTiL6Kdsamn Stitcher: https://www.stitcher.com/podcast/the-hard-corps-marketing-show Google Podcasts: https://play.google.com/music/m/Im7mytmu2wa2mekhoeixlja5hpe?t=The_Hard_Corps_Marketing_Show YouTube: https://youtu.be/5MrbOivXAz8

In this episode of the Thoughtful Entrepreneur, your host Josh Elledge speaks to virtual CMO and author, Edwin Dearborn. Edwin shares that he helps companies, who are doing well but don't have a CMO on board, who want to become more growth-driven. In other words, he's the perfect fit for a company that doesn't want to hire a full time CMO but needs that guidance to get to the next level. Edwin also helps to advise on content creation. A lot of the companies he has worked with have great content ideas but haven't executed on any of them; Edwin helps with actually pulling the trigger on the content creation process.Josh and Edwin also explore how to approach solving marketing problems in business. Edwin explains that many businesses only see their most immediate or direct problem and not any other issues that negatively impact the business. More often than not, your issues aren't just chalked up to one problem, but rather several that influence one another. Edwin helps his clients take off their blinders and untangle the web of problems, then he helps create a blueprint that will help those businesses overcome those challenges and get to the next level of growth. Edwin and Josh agree that a confused mind does nothing. If your marketing and messaging isn't clear or doesn't resonate with your target audience, your prospects simply aren't going to buy. If you're having leadgen issues, you need to reframe your messaging to actually hit home with your demographic. Do market research to find out how your marketing is actually being perceived and use that feedback to change your ad strategy. Another important point to consider is keeping up with trends and changes. A CEO that runs all of their own marketing isn't going to have the bandwidth to continue being their own marketing expert. This is the beauty of hiring a virtual CMO – you can outsource your needs to the experts without necessarily creating a whole new role within your company's framework. Don't wait until the last moment to outsource this type of work to a virtual CMO or marketing expert; start working on this early to stay on top of marketing trends and to build your processes effectively from the get go. A good CMO can drive revenue beyond what you might think is possible and this can all be done fractionally and virtually. Edwin shares that he works with ambitious businesses that want to scale. His clients have big dreams and want to create massive amounts of presence in their space. Want to learn more? Crisis is inevitable, but growth is a choice. COVID-19 has been variously called as a global reset, an unprecedented experience or a well of opportunity, but what the pandemic represents to Amrita Subramanian is a wakeup call that makes us realize just how connected we are to each other as humans and how our individual choices impact our relational universe. It is a trauma that unites the whole globe and forces everyone to unite for a single purpose. A faculty member at the Department of Organizational Dynamics at the Wharton School of Business, Amrita is currently pursuing her PhD in Human Development and Post-Traumatic Growth and Collective Trauma. Listen to her conversation with Dr. Diane Hamilton, where she expounds on the ideas she is working on for her dissertation, most notably the nature of growth during crisis as a choice that we have to intentionally make.…Personal branding is no longer a matter of telling the world that you are awesome and expect the world to come to you because you are awesome. You need to stand out and become the obvious choice for customers and that's not how it's done anymore. He also shares his branding and marketing expertise through his books and lectures. Let's end marketing overwhelm! This week I am starting a six-part series about crafting and sticking to a Marketing Plan. It is my intention with this series to end confusion regarding what your marketing department should actually do, and how to get results. The secret is consistency, but you need to understand exactly what consistent actions you and your team should be taking every month. I believe that if you can really sink your teeth into the idea of setting up a very tight organized and systemized Client Value Journey, then the entire way you look at marketing will change.  You'll be overcome with a sense of relief knowing that you have the key elements of your marketing taken care of. This is because, once you have your Client Value Journey in place, the job becomes implementing a repeatable process. From there, each time you have a creative idea or you want to improve a certain part of the client value Journey, you'll know exactly what needs to be tweaked. Check out a previous episode that I recorded called Understanding the Client Value Journey. It serves as a really good overview of each step. However,  today we are going to dig deep into each part of the client value journey individually to (hopefully) shed some light on the overall process in a way that is easy to digest. To remind you: the client value journey is the six-step process that clients go through when they're learning about your business and making a purchase online. They're going through this system by design or default. - Aware - Engage - Nurture - Invite - Delight - Advocate Today is all about Awareness. Awareness is how people know about your business and what you do. It is a critical first step in the journey and every business must be consistently engaging in "awareness activities" in order to keep the pipeline full. There are really only three ways to grow your business: Advertising SEO Leveraging other people or other businesses ' audiences It is ideal to have all three of these tactics working together to bring a constant flow of new people into your business. If you're in a situation with limited funds and limited resources, I would suggest focusing on just one of these strategies and doing it extremely well. Take a listen to today's episode for ideas, tips, and tricks on how to maximize your effort and bring more growth into your business through a carefully executed aware phase.  Hi! It explains how to benefit from the trend where savvy companies and non-profits attract not just customers but fans who indirectly promote the product better than direct marketing from the company itself can.Scott's assertion is that marketing and public relations is vastly different on the Web than in mainstream media. He says that the old rules of mainstream media are about controlling a message and getting the message into the public domain is to buying expensive advertising or begging the media to write about you. He says that the rules of marketing and PR on the Web are completely different. Instead of buying or begging your way in, Scott says anybody can earn attention by "publishing their way in" using the tools of social media such as, blogs, podcasts, online news releases, online video, viral marketing, and online media. What is a Virtual CMO? - http://virtualcmo.expert/The Top Business Growth Strategy for 2021While most are probably familiar with the term return on investment (ROI), return on relationship is a newer concept coined by CMO of Brand Innovators, Ted Rubin. ROR is a concept built on the social media age and the knowledge that connections with customers drive significant growth for modern businesses. What is return on relationship (ROR)?Like ROI, return on relationship is a way to measure business success. However, while ROI represents the positive outcomes of your efforts in financial figures, ROR applies to the value that you get out of nurturing connections with customers. This value comes in the form of:* Recommendations and referrals* Social media engagement* Followers and fans* Loyalty and repeat business* Social sharingA business hoping to build a company defined by loyal customers who are willing to support the organization via word of mouth marketing needs a high level of ROR. According to Rubin, the return on relationship is all about organic engagement, sentiment monitoring, and community management.Provide valuable resources for customersFocus your business strategy for 2021 on your customers and customer-facing actions, such as adding to the value you deliver to them, and the ways in which those actions assist with your revenue objectives. On the sales side, providing more options for financial assistance could help new customers make their purchases. Examples include layaway, structured payment plan services and other payment options that address smaller cash flows and decreased consumer confidence. For marketing purposes, you also have considerable time and opportunity to plan content and provide access to similar valuable resources that provide information to  your customers and prospects. These tactics might not deliver immediate revenue, but it can be effective to engage prospects now so they are ready to buy when things improve. Your business strategy can focus on detailing this transformation, including the timeline for testing and implementing those new digital processes. Doing so will better prepare you for when business picks up again. You may then find you can better connect with customers and offer them the digital experiences they have come to expect in other parts of their lives. Take care of your peopleA core element of every business plan should be a people strategy. Now more than ever, employers should prioritize taking care of their people — from physical and mental health to quality of life and work-life balance. In addition, maintaining a strong corporate culture is always paramount, but it is especially crucial with many employees working in a remote environment. There is a wide range of employee-related perks and options that can be incorporated into the 2021 plan, including an employee wellness program; access to an employee assistance program (EAP); paid volunteer hours; flexible scheduling; a generous number of PTO hours; lunch-and-learn sessions; half-day Fridays and more. When companies take care of their people, it leads to more loyal employees and discretionary efforts.

What is a Virtual CMO? - http://virtualcmo.expert/Small Business Owners Need to Embrace Big Tech - HR, Finance, Marketing and SEOSmall business owners have a lot on their plates. For some, it might feel like they just don't have the time to invest in learning new skills. However, finding the time to learn technical skills is one of the most powerful things a small business owner can do for their future. Whether it's learning a software that helps run the business more efficiently, being able to build and maintain a website, or creating no-code apps to automate busywork, tech can change the course of any size company.Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Survey respondents underlined the importance of these although only a little more than half (56%) said they were currently using one of these tools. It was clear small and medium sized businesses understood the importance of these CRMs for interacting with clients but hadn't found one they liked.HR SoftwareThis was one of the other technologies that was flagged in the survey by just over half of the respondents. If you're looking to include this with your small business, administrative functions like those for benefits and attendance are important. It's also a good idea to look for some strategic options like tracking long-term employee development.Content Marketing and SEOContent marketing is a ubiquitous term in the entrepreneurial world yet many wrongfully presume it's simple: You write some content, publish it online and shortly thereafter people flock to your website and buy your product. Right? As a small business owner or entrepreneur, you know the process is much more involved, calling for niche expertise and far greater attention to detail.Beyond simply writing the content, you have to ensure that your target audience will actually want to read it, optimize it for SEO and then promote it in the right circles. Otherwise, your content is doomed to become another long forgotten URL aimlessly floating around the internet. When implemented correctly, content marketing has the power to boost your domain authority, skyrocket your qualified lead generation and position you and your business as industry experts and thought leaders. The question becomes not if content marketing is right for you, but rather how can you best navigate the many channels of content marketing to fit your business's goals?

Leads help a business to keep growing. This is especially true with financial advisors, wealth managers, financial planners, RIAs and insurance agents. The problem many financial advisors face, however, is that the traditional avenues for generating these leads (things like getting referrals, word of mouth, networking, etc.) are slow, unpredictable and difficult to scale.Let Jamie show you better, more effective ways to grow your client base as a Financial Advisor.New financial advisors face a formidable challenge: You must find clients willing to trust you to manage their resources without being able to clearly demonstrate a history of success. Even seasoned financial advisors may discover that clients have grown increasingly vigilant — and for good reason. With more than a quarter-million financial advisors in the United States, it's hard to stand out as a professional. As the industry is expected to grow over the next decade, it will be even harder to earn new business.Wondering how to get clients as a financial advisor? What is a Virtual CMO? - http://virtualcmo.expert/1) Owned Media - Your Website, Blog, YouTube channel, Podcast, Facebook Page, Email, etc. This is the media you control. 2) Earned Media - Appearing as a guest on someone else's blog, YouTube channel, or Podcast. Being featured in the news or in an industry publication. Also called “Publicity”. 3) Paid Media - Google Ads, Facebook Ads, YouTube ads, direct mail, etc.Earned, Owned, and Paid Media Further Defined Earned mediaIf owned media sites are the destination then earned media is the vehicle that helps people get there. What good is a website or social media site if no one is seeing or interacting with it? That's where earned media comes in. Earned media is essentially online word of mouth, usually seen in the form of ‘viral' tendencies, mentions, shares, reposts, reviews, recommendations, or content picked up by 3rd party sites. One of the most effective driving forces of earned media is usually a combination of strong organic rankings on the Search Engines, and content distributed by the brand. First page rankings and good content are typically the biggest drivers.Rankings on the first page of the search engines place your owned media sites and content links in a position to receive higher engagement and shares, which is why a good SEO strategy is crucial. When it comes to brand content, interesting, informative content can come in all shapes and sizes. Whether it be a blog, info-graphic, video, press release, webinar or e-book, the bottom line is that the content has to be worthwhile in order to receive the value of earned media; which is why a great content strategy is also important.Owned mediaOwned media is any web property that you can control and is unique to your brand. One of the most common examples is a website, although blog sites and social media channels are other examples of owned media properties too. Channels like social media and blogs are extensions of your website, and all three are extensions of your brand as a whole. The more owned media you have, the more chances you have to extend your brand presence in the digital sphere. (Check out our post on SEO for blogs to earn better rankings!)Paid mediaPaid media is a good way to promote content in order to drive earned media, as well as direct traffic to owned media properties.Paying to promote content can help get the ball rolling and create more exposure. Social Media sites like Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn offer advertising that could potentially help boost your content as well as your website. Another way to gain more exposure for your content is to pay influencers to rep your products or services, impacting the reach and recognition your pieces receive. Using retargeting, Pay Per Click (PPC) and display ads is an effective and more direct way to drive searchers to your owned media sites like your website, to help increase traffic and/or conversions.

He has been a senior credit officer for two California banks: one in the San Francisco Bay Area, the other in Beverly Hills. He is the co-founder of a prestigious Los Angeles-based business-management company where he oversaw the business and financial matters of some of the biggest names in Hollywood.John has spoken to bankers and business executives around the world on the oppressive agenda of international bankers and provided solutions to their programs. In their first decade, Bitcoin and Blockchain have established themselves as functioning parts of the global financial and business landscape. They are here to stay. And while we have covered the cryptocurrency world in earlier issues of The Hard Truth, as the digital currency world celebrates its 10th anniversary, it seemed appropriate to revisit the world of cryptocurrencies and the underlying platform that enables them to function – Blockchain.Bitcoin was the first cryptocurrency (and the only crypto for the first two years of its existence – 2009 to 2011) and is the digital currency “brand” that most people know. Many think it is the only digital currency. But that is far from the case today. There are currently over 2,000 digital currencies. They have a combined market capitalization (the amount of money invested) of $138 billion dollars, with more than $20 billion dollars of cryptocurrencies traded every day. Cryptocurrencies are anything but dead. While the prices have been depressed, as you can see, there is no shortage of trading volume that is, as we have said, running in excess of $20 billion per day. Here's a look at the statistics of the top 10 cryptocurrencies.https://coinmarketcap.comYou can see that with Bitcoin's market cap of $70 billion, it represents a little over 50% of the total cryptocurrency market of $138 billion. As you can also see, even the #10 crypto has a market cap of $1.5 billion. It is also evident that, in addition to Bitcoin, #2, Ethereum, and #3, Ripple stands head and shoulders above the rest. Both of these two crypto brands represent innovative global communication platforms – they aren't just currencies, but currencies representing digital solutions that are in high demand.

How To Execute Your Word of Mouth Marketing Strategy

Connect with me on LinkedInWhat is a Virtual CMO? - http://virtualcmo.expert/Word of Mouth Marketing Strategy In talking with several hundred business owners and entrepreneurs for over thirty years, I have learned that word-of-mouth is always the most favored method of how small business brands grow. Yet, I have also observed that very few business people initiate proactive word-of-mouth campaigns or tactics. Too many view word-of-mouth as something that just happens, and in no way can be proactively guided as an ongoing strategy.  A Nielsen study in 2013 found that earned media (also described in their report as word-of-mouth) is the most trusted source of information in all countries it surveyed worldwide. Moreover, it found that it is the channel that is most likely to stimulate consumers into action. There are three important factors which underlie powerful and successful word-of-mouth marketing strategy all of which can be proactively initiated:Acceptable Product/ServiceOpinion Leaders & InfluencerPublicityAcceptable Product/ServiceYou can't have an unacceptable product or service and generate any effective word-of-mouth. Acceptable only means that your audience likes what you offer and has a willingness to continue to do business with you. While McDonald's does not make the highest quality hamburger, millions upon millions find their products and services acceptable. And they are quite profitable. Now there are degrees to being acceptable. One could rise to the very top of the “Acceptable Scale” and become a legendary brand such as Tiffany's, Apple, or Disney.  But there are legendary brands on a micro level, such as the local diner that people wait in line to get into every day. They may not serve the healthiest food, but they are quite acceptable and popular with the locals. One can always improve the quality of the product and/or service of one's brand. In this way, you are proactively setting the stage for better word-of-mouth. Creating a one-of-a-kind product or delivering 5-Star service only helps you to generate stronger word-of-mouth. Opinion Leaders & Influencers Once your brand can consistently deliver an acceptable product or service, one needs to tap into those who can influence others. It is a known fact that many people judge who to do business with based on what others say. Opinion leaders and Influencers are not just Instagram models with millions of followers. We have been desensitized that someone who could influence a few hundred or a couple of thousand people is of no value.  These smaller, more focused niche experts connect on a deeper level with their audiences and generate greater engagement. In fact, micro-influencers with 1,000 followers generated 85% higher engagement than those having 100,000 followers, and as the number of followers increases the engagement tends to decrease. Publicity is concerned with providing favorable information to the media and any third-party outlets, such as bloggers, mainstream media, as well as new media forms such as podcasts and YouTube vloggers. “Publicity is absolutely critical. A good PR story is infinitely more effective than a front page ad.” - Richard BransonThe prime role of publicity is to provide a message to consumers without having to pay for direct time or space. This not only creates awareness, but publicity achieves greater credibility in that others are now talking about your brand. The use of publi

Connect with me on LinkedIn - https://www.linkedin.com/in/edwindearborn/How can a Virtual CMO help to drive growth? - http://virtualcmo.expert/1. Adopt the 10x mindset. The single most important step is to have the clear intention of generating exponential growth in your company. Dan calls this the “10X mindset.” It means seeking and being open to every opportunity that can help you grow by 10x, and avoiding those things that don't contribute to that growth. Without this 10x mindset to guide and motivate you, none of the other tools or tactics will matter.I can tell you from my experience that the shift from a slower growth mindset — say, 2x, or trying to double your success — to 10x is both liberating and energizing. That's because in 2x growth mode, says Dan, you essentially get stuck in the immediate past and try to improve incrementally without really changing anything. In contrast, a 10x mindset focuses your thinking squarely on what your ideal future looks like, and how you can best pull your present situation toward that ideal vision. With a 10x mindset, you begin to examine everything in your entrepreneurial life — your clients, customers, support team, technology, even your lifestyle — and question which parts of the past should come along on the journey forward, and which need to be jettisoned.2. Turn mindset into action. Of course, the right intentions will only get you so far. You also must act. Every 90 days, identify three things around you (or three actions you are taking) that are blocking your progress toward 10x growth — and get rid of them. Likewise, look to add three things or take three actions that will help fuel your exponential growth goals. By regularly cutting out those activities that sap your energy and adding to those things that boost your energy, you will make tremendous progress consistently. Soon you'll find yourself operating at a 10x level of performance and results in many areas of your life.3. Take full advantage of technology. Technology is the rocket fuel that's helping more entrepreneurs generate 10x growth than ever. In the past — meaning the pre-personal computer/software application/Internet days many of us came up in — most business owners thought only in terms of incremental growth because it was so much harder to reach their audience. Modest growth was all the world seemed to allow. But thanks to Moore's Law and the power of the microchip, we now have technologies such as webinars and podcasts to reach huge numbers of people easily and cost-effectively. These tools allow entrepreneurs to get massively bigger results with very low investments. If you think you're too old to make these and other technologies work for you, think again. It's actually the most seasoned entrepreneurs among us who tend to benefit most from technology — not the upstarts. The reason: Veteran entrepreneurs demonstrate a purposefulness when using tech that their younger peers lack. Instead of getting distracted by a technology's bells and whistles, experienced entrepreneurs hone right in on using the technology to achieve exactly what they want. That powerful combination of strategic purpose and today's connection-building technology can drive huge results for so-called “old guard” entrepreneurs.4. Strengthen your strengths — not your weaknesses. 10x growth tends to occur after entrepreneurs start focusing more on what they do best and stop worrying about their weaknesses. This might seem counterintuitive. After all, you're told throughout your life that working on improving your weaknesses will make you a more well-rounded person. Maybe — but it also will make you a less strategic, less purposeful & ultimately less successful entrepreneur. By betting on what you're really good at and raising that bet throughout your life, you'll gain the confidence and capability

Connect with me on LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/edwindearborn/ What is a Virtual CMO? - http://virtualcmo.expert/Simple Growth Hacks With LinkedInLinkedIn may not get as much love in the social media world as platforms like Instagram and Facebook, but there's still no better way to get in front of business decision-makers than LinkedIn. If you're a marketer, salesperson or another type of professional who wants to connect with executives and other brand leaders who have the ability to actually write you a check, LinkedIn is where you want to be.However, an empty LinkedIn profile won't do anything to attract these decision-makers to you. You need hacks that expand your reach on LinkedIn and turn it into a lead generation tool. 79% of marketers use the network as a great source of leads. What's more, HubSpot learned that LinkedIn is 277% more effective at generating leads than Twitter and Facebook.LinkedIn growth hack #1. Connect with the right audienceThe keyword here is ‘right.' Connecting with your target leads helps you put your product in front of the people who are actually interested in it. In your Sales Navigator (available through the upgraded LinkedIn version), go to the advanced search bar, and click on Search for leads. LinkedIn growth hack #2: Engage with your audienceEngagement on LinkedIn is synonymous with commenting on other people's posts. It's easy to assume that liking and leaving comments like ‘nice,' ‘great post' will help you gain exposure. But you are dead wrong if you've made such an assumption.LinkedIn growth hack #3: Share valuable contentThe last cog in the LI sales prospecting tool machine revolves around sharing relevant content. 94% of B2B marketers use the platform as a content distribution channel. That's because LinkedIn helps drive over half of the traffic to B2B blogs and sites.Create content directly on LinkedIn. Like other social media platforms, LinkedIn's algorithm favors native content. So instead of just sharing a link to your YouTube videos or website blog, upload some of your content directly to LinkedIn. Publishing an article on LinkedIn, for example, ties back into adding rich media content to your profile, while also increasing the odds that you can stay on your contacts' radar. If you're looking for content inspiration, browse the trending news stories on the platform. Doing so may give you an idea, even if it's just for a quick reaction video that you upload natively to LinkedIn. Use a few hashtags when sharing this type of content, and if you're lucky, you may even get a LinkedIn editor to add your content to the platform's trending news feed.Following these tactics can help you organically get more out of LinkedIn, rather than running up against a brick wall trying to cold pitch prospects you have no real connection with. You can increase your odds of forming organic connections through tactics like optimizing keywords and sharing content natively, and taking a little bit more time to form stronger relationships initially can pay off significantly more in the long run.

Connect with me on LinkedIn:  https://www.linkedin.com/in/edwindearborn/What is a Virtual CMO? - http://virtualcmo.expert/In marketing, publicity is the public visibility or awareness for any product, service or organization (company, charity, etc.). It may also refer to the movement of information from its source to the general public, often (but not always) via the media. The subjects of publicity include people of public interest, goods and services, organizations, and works of art or entertainment.A publicist is someone that carries out publicity, while public relations (PR) is the strategic management function that helps an organization establish and maintain communication with the public. This can be done internally, without the use of popular media. From a marketing perspective, publicity is one component of promotion and marketing. The other elements of the promotional mix are advertising, sales promotion, direct marketing and personal selling.Organizations will sometimes organize events designed to attract media coverage, and subsequently, provide positive publicity; these events are known as publicity stunts.Podcast Statistics:* 197 million Americans have heard about podcasts. * 32% of Americans listen to podcasts at least once a month.* There were 750,000 active podcasts in 2019.* On average, 45% of podcast listeners have an annual household income of more than $250,000.* 2 million podcasts are registered by Google.* 54% of podcast consumers say they think about buying advertised products.  * Businesses spent $497 million on podcast advertising in 2018.* Brands that advertise their products and services on business podcasts enjoy an average 14% rise in purchase intent. What is a podcast?A podcast is an audio or video file, usually available as a single episode. A podcast can be watched via a streaming platform or downloaded to a mobile device or computer. The podcast industry covers a number of niches, including music, culture, society, comedy, health, business, and many others. How many podcasts are there? It is estimated that 750,000 podcasts and more than 30 million episodes existed on the web in 2019. In 2018, Apple alone featured 550,000 podcasts and 18.5 million episodes. How do you find out how many listeners a podcast has?Podcasts exist across various platforms and websites, meaning it is difficult to track podcast growth and the number of listeners following a specific show. However, there are methods to find out the number of listeners. The easiest way to see how many listeners a podcast has is to check out podcast download numbers and the number of subscribers. This is possible for podcasts that are hosted on platforms such as Spotify, Google Play, iTunes, SoundCloud, and others. To estimate the number of listeners, you can use a Web analytic tool. Every podcast-hosting platform provides tools for tracking subscribers by IP address and device. In this way, they offer specific data on podcast listenership. For example, iTunes podcast analytics provide podcasters with information about how often users listen to shows and episodes and how the popularity of each episode changes over time.
