This week on the Mark Levin Show, on October 7, 2023, Palestinian terrorists from Gaza, backed by Qatar, Turkey, and Iran, attacked Israel, murdering 1,200 people through extreme brutality. If drug cartels had done the same on the Texas border the U.S. would not tolerate it or fight with the restraint Israel showed in Gaza, such as issuing warnings and leaflets. Israel, a small nation, has faced ongoing attacks from Hamas and Hezbollah yet is repeatedly told to back off just as it nears destroying these groups, allowing Hamas to rearm despite a supposed peace deal. The U.S. fought Iran alongside Israel, but now pressures Israel to stop while Hamas remains armed and Hezbollah continues threats. Why is Israel not permitted to fully defend itself? Bari Weiss is a genuine journalist who is challenging CBS's entrenched radical mindset by promoting more moderate, professional journalists, which has provoked attacks from figures like Scott Pelley. There are CBS personalities like Pelley who are whiny, narcissistic, privileged, entitled buffoons who are driving down ratings. Meanwhile, Hasan Piker and Cenk Uygur are complaining that they were banned from Britain over their views on Israel and terrorism, while affirming First Amendment free speech. They hate America, trash its Judeo-Christian and Enlightenment values, and support regimes like communist China, Cuba, Islamist Iran, and Turkey where free speech is suppressed—yet demand sympathy when facing restrictions themselves. There is a growing domestic Marxist-Islamist threat, funded by Qatar, China, and others, that is organizing, building enclaves, and infiltrating politics. In breaking news, there are reports of multiple explosions in Bahrain, hours after Iran claimed precise missile strikes on U.S. bases in Kuwait and the IRGC warned of further seismic responses to American actions. Iran appears emboldened rather than defeated by reading U.S. restraint as weakness. The IRGC needs to be pounded, and the Iranian people need to be armed. Later, the core defect of Marxism is its fundamental misstatement and misapplication of human nature. Rather than being an economic philosophy aimed at equality or fairness, it uses economics and redistribution as camouflage to advance totalitarianism, seeking to control individuals, thought processes, and ultimately create a society of compliant robots. This ideology, like Islam, employs appeal to compassion and justice as propaganda while intending the opposite. It cannot work because human nature, created by God, cannot be intentionally destroyed and rejiggered by man. The practical goal is demographic transformation to build dependent, like-minded societies that can be dominated, eventually extending this control nationally. The Democrat Party serves as the vessel for Islamists and Marxists to seize control of the U.S. government, as these groups avoid Republican primaries and instead target dark blue districts where primary wins guarantee victory. Low American voter turnout combined with ruthless Muslim bloc voting has enabled conquest. There are grave concerns over the ongoing war with the Islamist Nazi enemy regime in Iran, which is making increasing demands including billions in aid that should not be provided in any form, as it would only rebuild their terrorist apparatus rather than help the people. On Thursday's Mark Levin Show, WJNO's Brian Mudd fills in for Mark. The AI jobs boom is coming. But there's a tale of two economies, where investors have enjoyed a phenomenal stock market run driven by AI, while everyday life feels strained by high gas and grocery prices. Despite concerns over AI job losses, Iran-related issues, and costs, there is strong economic momentum and Reaganomics-style trickle-down effects, with wealth from companies redeploying across the economy.  April saw 115,000 jobs added driven by actual American workers, with 3.6% wage growth exceeding inflation. Tech jobs cut by AI have been more than offset by gains in construction, utilities, and AI-supporting infrastructure, signaling booming AI-related job creation in the early months of this shift. Meanwhile, the current average gas price is around $4.24 per gallon; even if sustained all year on an inflation-adjusted basis, it would rank only as the 9th most expensive year in U.S. history, with four of the top five (including the top three) most expensive years occurring under the Obama administration. Also, President Trump sidelined Maduro in Venezuela—redirecting its vast oil reserves (previously 80% to China, though only 2% of China's supply) to the US via Chevron, boosting production 50%—and now targeting Iran (47% of China's oil), Trump has disrupted China's new Axis network of allies (including Russia, North Korea, Cuba, Venezuela, and Nicaragua). This strategically hampers China's military capabilities, preventing escalation to World War III.  Later, this version of the Democrat party is the most dangerous yet.  Sen Chuck Schumer opposed funding reconciliation for the Department of Homeland Security, including $140 billion for Border Patrol and ICE. Democrats' support for the BLM-led defund the police movement caused total crime rates to rise 30% and murders 44% in embracing communities, with devastating effects. Open border policies under President Biden allowed criminal illegal aliens to run rampant, committing a quarter of all U.S. crime. Copyright ©2026, Weird Darkness.Originally aired: March, 2021Weird Darkness opens a fire-themed descent that runs from a vanished forest blaze in 1976 Idaho through ghosts, Bigfoot, and UFOs born of wildfires, into Mary Shelley's graveyard education, a gentle apartment haunting, and an unsolved 1886 Boston murder.It opens with a U.S. Forest Service lookout stationed atop Pilot Peak in the Payette National Forest near Warren, high above the South Fork of the Salmon River, who woke sleepless at two a.m. in July 1976 and saw a bright orange triangle near a distant crest, then confirmed through binoculars two huge trees crowning out with flame. He calculated an azimuth with his fire-finder, radioed a two- to four-acre fire to the station fifteen air miles away, and watched it recede and vanish completely within forty minutes, leaving no smoke, no flame, and no charred ground at dawn six air miles out. Supervisors dubbed it the Pilot Peak phantom fire and sent smokejumper aircraft and hotshot crews to circle the ridge for nearly a week without finding a trace, until two months later a thousand-acre blaze on Zena Creek burned in roughly the same location he had reported.From there the episode widens into wildfires laced with the paranormal, beginning with the Curve Fire that struck South Mount Hawkins in the San Gabriel Mountains of California's Angeles National Forest on September 1, 2002, traced to a brittle 1935 wooden lookout tower and rumored to follow a cult ritual, after which hikers reported eyeless animals with hardened flesh and tall shadow figures akin to the Dark Watchers. It moves to the Battle Mountain Complex Fire near Battle Mountain, Nevada on August 6, 1999, where a letter forwarded to the Bigfoot Field Research Organization and a later call to investigator Thom Powell described firefighters capturing a burned, roughly seven-and-a-half-foot creature with a strong equine odor and near-human features. It closes with a July 2014 wildfire at West Kelowna near Vancouver, Canada, where a Castanet news video appeared to show an object shooting from a cloud, and a 2017 sighting by Arthur Frenette in New Hampshire's White Mountains, who watched a ball of fire plunge into Kinsman Ridge ahead of an out-of-control blaze.Next the episode turns to Mary Shelley, who in her 1831 introduction to Frankenstein traced her writing to her literary parents, though her mother, A Vindication of the Rights of Woman author Mary Wollstonecraft, died of puerperal fever days after her birth when Dr. Poignand removed the placenta with unwashed hands. Raised partly at her mother's grave in the St. Pancras churchyard, where she read her mother's work and escaped a strained home after father William Godwin remarried, the teenage Mary met Percy Shelley through the household and, at sixteen, declared love and reportedly first had sex among the tombstones. That fusion of reading, death, and forbidden knowledge surfaces in Victor Frankenstein's graveyard study of decay and in Godwin's 1809 Essay on Sepulchres, which framed visiting the illustrious dead as a form of communion the daughter carried into her novel of a creature assembled from corpses.From there the tone softens with a benign haunting recounted by a woman named Cassie, who moved into a larger, better-kept apartment over Christmas 2018 and lived there three months before moving in with her boyfriend. The internet blinked off repeatedly, cell reception failed in parts of the unit, electrical sockets quit working, bulbs burned out fast, and the shower switched itself on while she was away at classes. One night around one a.m. she and her boyfriend both heard the pitter-patter of bare feet in the kitchen, yet she never felt threatened, and when she left she said goodbye to whatever shared the space with her.The episode closes with the Wash-House Murder, the July 1886 killing of a Chinese laundryman found stabbed fourteen times in his Shawmut Avenue laundry in Boston's South End, his braided queue cut off and the five hundred dollars he had saved for a return to China gone. The victim's name was never certain, printed variously as Bin Chong, Ding Chong, and Wong Kong, and the case drew the Boston Police into a Chinatown governed by rival companies named Moy, Ching, Lee, and Sing. Detectives questioned the violent Moy company leader Ah Moy Chong and brought in New York interpreter Warry S. Charles, but the murder was never solved, and Charles himself was convicted of first-degree murder in 1908 after importing hatchet-armed assassins as a tong leader, leaving four dead in Chinatown.

Hungary is undergoing a major transformation with the election of a new prime minister.After 16 years in power, Viktor Orban's Fidesz party was swept from office in a historic landslide election in April and with an equally historic turnout of almost 80 percent.The new Tisza party, led by Peter Magyar, won the largest super-majority in Hungary's post-communist history with a platform focused on anti-corruption and national renewal. They've promised major changes to Hungary's constitution, known as the Fundamental Law.So what does this election mean for Hungary and how might the new leadership reorient its relationship with America, the European Union, Russia, and China?Orban was known for his pro-family and pro-tradition domestic policies, while at the same time cultivating close ties with Russia and communist China and distancing himself from the EU.Joining us today to break all this down is Hungarian constitutional law scholar Marton Sulyok, a visiting researcher at the Georgetown Center for the Constitution.Sulyok is, notably, also the son of Hungary's current President, Tamas Sulyok.Magyar has demanded the resignation of Sulyok and other Orban allies. Our Global Commodities Strategist Martijn Rats discusses why the restart of oil flows through the Strait of Hormuz may be slower and tighter than the market expects.Read more insights from Morgan Stanley.----- Transcript -----Welcome to Thoughts on the Market. I'm Martijn Rats, Morgan Stanley's Global Commodities Strategist. Today – how fast can Middle East production return?It is Thursday, June the 4th, at 3pm in London.Every time you pull into a gas station, those prices are staring back at you. What you see at the pump is just the front end of a global system we've been watching for months: tankers, storage, insurance, and shipping lanes, all still constrained by the Strait of Hormuz. But while prices at the pump are still high, Brent has actually fallen back to around about $92 a barrel.In inflation-adjusted terms, today's Brent price is actually right at the 50th percentile of the last 20 years – suggesting that the market is assuming a clean, near-term recovery in supply. Yet the disruption continues to be extraordinary. Roughly 11 million barrels per day of Gulf crude remains offline, close to half the region's pre-conflict output.We think the market may be too optimistic. Our working assumption is now that meaningful export recovery through the strait begins only in the second half of July. Even then, normal does not return with the flip of a switch.First, ships need to be willing to sail. Owners and insurers need confidence that the waterway is safe. If mines remain in traditional shipping lanes, the strait can be technically open but still operate at reduced capacity. Clearing that risk can take weeks, and potentially several months.Second, the tanker fleet is in the wrong place. When ships cannot work in the Gulf, they move elsewhere. Bringing enough empty tankers back to lift crude takes time.Third, storage is a limiting factor. Oilfields cannot restart if export tanks are full. For producers that rely heavily on seaborne exports, empty tankers are therefore essential.Last, oilfields themselves need restarting. Before the closure, around 36,000 wells were active across six Gulf producers. Roughly 10,000 of those are currently offline. After a shut-in of nearly five months, about 4,000 to 5,000 wells could face restart constraints. Reservoir pressure can decline, equipment can fail after sitting idle, and flowlines need cleaning and safety checks.All told, around 75 percent of lost supply can probably come back within four months after flows through the Strait of Hormuz resume. But the final 25 percent may take well into 2027.So why have prices not moved more? The market began this shock with buffers. Inventories were elevated, oil-on-water was high, and emergency relief releases helped. The U.S. increased seaborne net exports of crude oil and refined products from roughly 5 million barrels a day to 9 million barrels a day. At the same time, China's seaborne net oil imports fell from around 13 million barrels a day a year ago to just over 7.5 million a day over the last 30 days.But these cushions are thinning. Strategic reserve releases are scheduled to drop from about 2.5 million barrels per day in April through June to about 0.7 million in July and August. U.S. gasoline and diesel inventories are already well below five-year seasonal lows. China is already on track for five consecutive months of unusually low crude buying for April through August delivery. But that starts to raise the probability that Chinese buyers return for September barrels. Buying for September typically starts mid to late June.Now, oil is trading like the disruption is nearly over. But at the same time, the physical system is telling a slower story. Prices may look calm on the screen, but the bottleneck is in tankers, storage tanks, wells, and crews.Our Brent forecasts remain $110 per barrel for the second quarter and about $100 a barrel for the third quarter. We recently raised our estimates for the fourth quarter to $95 and the first quarter of 2027 to $85 a barrel, and expect a return to $80 eventually thereafter.Thanks for listening. On Tuesday's Mark Levin Show, in a Senate hearing, Secretary of State Marco Rubio testified on Iran negotiations, emphasizing condition-based sanctions relief and the critical need to address Iran's ballistic missile capabilities. Any sanctions relief for Iran would fund the regime's army, IRGC, and security forces rather than the suffering people. We need to arm the Iranian people to enable an uprising. This terrorist regime seeks to destroy America and Israel while the current efforts fail to apply maximum pressure. We should not negotiate with or cut deals with terrorists because it emboldens enemies. The isolationists and the Woke Reich give aid and comfort to our adversaries. There is a growing domestic Marxist-Islamist threat, funded by Qatar, China, and others, that is organizing, building enclaves, and infiltrating politics. In breaking news, there are reports of multiple explosions in Bahrain, hours after Iran claimed precise missile strikes on U.S. bases in Kuwait and the IRGC warned of further seismic responses to American actions. Iran appears emboldened rather than defeated by reading U.S. restraint as weakness. The IRGC needs to be pounded, and the Iranian people need to be armed.  Later, the core defect of Marxism is its fundamental misstatement and misapplication of human nature. Rather than being an economic philosophy aimed at equality or fairness, it uses economics and redistribution as camouflage to advance totalitarianism, seeking to control individuals, thought processes, and ultimately create a society of compliant robots. This ideology, like Islam, employs appeal to compassion and justice as propaganda while intending the opposite. It cannot work because human nature, created by God, cannot be intentionally destroyed and rejiggered by man. The practical goal is demographic transformation to build dependent, like-minded societies that can be dominated, eventually extending this control nationally.
